Well I'm going to be hosting a dream battle of sorts. I have plans for every faction to get involved, starting areas for each of them that give them some advantages to take while giving nearby factions ways to also damage them. This map has a center area on it with a large runic circle, and ancient ruins of sort with a lot of power built up into it. Each faction will have mages that can take advantage of it for an effect. There are a few ways to win this battle, 1: Get a large group of your mages to the runic circle. 2: Cripple the enemy factions to the point where they can no longer fight. 3: Defeat the enemy Commanders. There will be multiple commanders for each faction. Currently I'm trying to work out a few things, for instance the posting limit. For players I was considering 21 posts per person. I am also considering putting a 24 hour time limit between posts, so one day for a post. Another thing, if I see a person constantly just last minute posting and intentionally just wasting time I will address it. This is also the start of sign ups for this Dream Battle. Know this is a dream battle, and will have no actual effect on RoW. We will also be seeing new units used in the battle, while I also test out NPC commanders, they won't be the rank of general but will be ranking officers still. Each player character will have some standing in this dream battle, so troops will be more inclined to listen to you than a grunt. Currently I'm also deciding on whether or not I should wait for the Rune overhaul before going through with this. That'll depend on how far away it is. So sign up, talk about it. Start to work out plans in your mind if you want on how to use the terrain and tools presented in the map.

Dezeroth for Scaravus
Davrin for Scaravus
Verminathras for Disgeran
Shiko for Aeregos
Sileo for Aeregos
Tuk for Leongarde
Shani for Archeos

So currently I'm setting it up, but I already have the map drawn which you can get acquainted with. Every faction has access to a map of the area, logically they wouldn't go in without some decent knowledge at least.

SCARAVUS

Spear Infantry - Spearmen -The standard spearmen of Scaravus. These men and women wear brown tunics to make it known that they are Scaravian by their fellows. Quick on their feet with only their spears, these people are nearly useless without their weapons. The element of surprise are however their greatest weapons.

Light Infantry - Raiders - Wielding Shamshir scimitars, these cloth clad men and women tend to favor quick movement. As a standard the focus on ambushing enemies, going for quick kills rather than long engagements.

Medium Infantry - Slayers - Warriors that use wicker shields, javelins, and Kilij. (Kilij means instrument of slaughter) Their role is to rush in wearing boiled leather armor, surprising the enemy first by throwing Javelins before engaging at close range with their Kilij. They are fast on their feet, and try to rush in quickly during surprises to kill as many as possible quickly. The Slayers are not very effective against armored foes. Their wicker shields protect them well enough from arrows and small projectiles but anything more forceful will easily break them. As well in melee the shields are nearly useless.

Heavy Infantry - Hard Shell Warriors - Warriors that wear the carapace of the Taeledron. It is similar in strength to steel. They wear helms, pauldrons, and torso armor made of it. Otherwise they wear simple rags. As a standard they wield long spears and carry scimitars as back up weapons.

Ranged Infantry - Archers - Scaravian archers wear goggles like inuit snow goggles made out of the bones of desert animals. They decrease how potent lights from glares and other such sources are on their eyes, while also protecting them more from anything that could harm their eyes. The goggles actually increase acuity when worn, while they are risky for close range fighting, they make the archers more accurate, though their peripheral vision up and down is essentially gone. When the slits are cut wide, they can still see to their sides. They are experienced in ambushes and are prepared to move often. Carrying recurve bows they are able to get off quick shots at the cost of range.

Heavy Ranged Infantry - Skirmishers - Wielding slings mainly with scimitars as back up, these soldiers generally wear boiled leather Lamellar chest and leg pieces. They prefer to stay at a bit of range but will engage in melee if they are forced to.

Light Cavalry - Banshee - Horseback warriors of Scaravus, some of the fastest riders around. They wear light armor and typically cover their faces with cloth using eye slits to give them vision. This is to make them faceless beings that ride in quickly to hammer armored enemies breaking their armor or killing lighter ones with their picks. Wielding the Horseman’s Pick with one hand, they use their other hand to more easily control their horses. While attacking they tend to screech loudly in an attempt to inspire fear in the enemies and startle or disorient them.

Heavy Cavalry -Horseback Archers - Scaravian archers that are experienced riders. They spend much of their time with the beasts and are well versed in using their bows from horseback. Each of them use composite recurve bows and also carry Talwar scimitars. Open areas are favored by them so they can easily roam the battlefield and escape any advances towards them.

Mage - Seer - Blind diviners of Scaravus. These beings cover themselves in gauss wrappings and wear long scarves and bindings that blow in the wind, they hang from their necks, wrists, and waists as a sash. While blind they are capable of using Arcane and mythical powers to let them see the battlefield around them. Often they will be kept between two warriors that can aid them with simple issues. While they can see the battlefield like a map in real time, they can’t see a rock two feet in front of them. Moving while using their powers can also be quite disorienting and as such they will typically stand still to use their prophetic sight.

Special Ranged Unit - Stingers - Archers of Scaravus that use arrows with poison on the tips. Simply they are like the standard archers in every way aside from the poisons which they are daring enough to extract.

Siege Weapon 1 - Chariot Drawn Scorpion - A scorpion weapon mounted on a horse drawn chariot. While moving it is difficult to aim, however when stopped it can be quite accurate at ranges.

Siege Weapon 3 - Catapult - A simple catapult. It is capable of launching stones at walls.

Healer - Hydromage - Ancient magicians of Scaravus. To survive in the desert one will require food and water. The essentials of life can be quite scarce out in the open dunes and as such a special few developed a method useful for survival. After the boon of magic in the region given by the runes, Meragia, and such sources they have discovered ways to use their control over water to heal others. Soothing burns, removing poisons, and helping to regenerate damaged tissue faster.

Special Unit 1 - Scarab Warrior - Warriors with skin of Chitin that is flexible and light yet harder than steel. Their hands end in pincers, though their eyes are still normal human ones. Generally they wear simple cloth giving them a grand sense of mobility. With their hard skin there is no need for them to use armor or even carry weapons. They also have claws that can be used for stabbing, hammering, or even protection since they can act as shields.

Special Unit 2 - Tamed Taeloron - Large Scorpions that have massive claws and can lift and toss men like they are nothing. Capable of even crushing horses these beasts are dangerous in battle, but are best deployed for the purpose of attacking lines before soldiers can arrive. These large scorpions do have venom that will make struck victims feel weaker but it is not fatal. Surviving the strikes of their large stingers is another issue altogether.

Special Unit 3 - Taeloron Handler - Special animal trainers that are required to control the Taeloron. They carry whips with hard club like ends to aid them in controlling the creatures, and a short scimitar. Should the handler be killed or separated for too long the Taeloron may leave the battlefield, or start killing indiscriminately. Often they do not dress any different from the average warrior so they aren’t as easy to spot by the enemy.

Special Unit 5 - Spiders - Fast moving units, these warriors are blessed by the Meragia. They are capable of leaping over enemy units and attacking them from behind. The Spiders generally wear boiled leather Lamellar stomach, groin, leg, and wrist armor. Typically they carry long spears which can be used to aid in their leaps, they can also be used for powerful thrusting attacks using their weight on units in front of them. As a back up they carry scimitars for more close ranged combat.

LEONGARDE

Spear Infantry - Footmen - Spear and shield wielding standard infantry of Leongarde. Most wear helmets and breastplates making them more likely to survive blows than the average spearmen. The shields they carry are heater shields made of wood with leather overlaid. Their normal helm is the barbute and their chest piece a Cuirass on the front only.

Light Infantry - Swordsman - Sword wielding infantry that use heater shields and straight shortswords. Usually used after the initial engagement of the spearmen, they are focused on close ranged combat. Wearing Barbutes, and Plackarts they are well suited for combat.

Medium Infantry - Berzerkers - Clad in furs, these men are generally a bit more wild than the average soldier of Leongarde. Normally they use two handed axes and are very brutal in their assaults.

Heavy Infantry - Shieldguard - Shieldgarde are walking fortresses. Wielding large kite shields and Partisans with Flanged Maces as backup weapons, the Shieldgarde will generally form their shields together in lines creating walls of steel. They generally wear Bassinets, Aventail, Cuirass(Front and Back), Gauntelts, Schynbalds, and Sabatons.

Ranged Infantry - Archers -Wearing Vambraces, Barbutes, and Brigantines. Aside from that they use standard bows and are normal archers.

Heavy Ranged Infantry - Armored Archers - Archers that wear Barbutes, Cuirass(Front), Gauntlets, and Schynbald.

Light Cavalry - Knights - The Knights of Leongarde prefer to fight from horseback wearing lighter armor than some of their contemporaries. They wear Barbutes, Hauberk, Spaulders, Cuirass(Front and Back), Gauntlets, Greaves, and Sabaton. As well they wield lances and heater shields, though some give up the shields so they can move just a bit faster. The Knights carry short swords for use on foot, as they are capable fighters on the ground or back of a horse.

Heavy Cavalry - Knights of the Silver Order - An order of Knights that trained underneath and alongside the Titanium Knight himself. They wear Great Helms, Gorgets, Cuirass(Front and Back), Faulds, Rerebraces, Gauntlets, Cuisse, Greaves, and Sabaton. These soldiers are often Lords or Nobles and wear the heaviest armor available to them. With Kite Shields and Lances they are dangerous foes with flanged maces as back up weapons. Even their horses wear armor making it hard to down these riders.

Mage - Magesmith - Mages of Leongarde that focus on Steel Evocation, the magical art of shaping Steel and metals. They are able to use their magic to form the Suit-at-Arms, control them too. Their powers also let them create weapons out of thin air, reform damaged armor and weapons, or create metal barriers.

Special Ranged Unit - Musketeers - Wielders of black powder rifles, the musketeers of Leongarde are accurate and deadly adversaries capable of picking off enemies at extreme ranges. The killing power of a musket is incredible making even heavily armored targets possible prey to the musketeers. Some of them carry short swords as back ups and generally they were fine and well fitting blue uniforms. Melee combat is not a strong point of theirs though so in such sorts of combat they have a very high mortality rate.

Siege Weapon 1 - Siege Tower - Large mobile wooden structures, the siege tower is intended to get infantry onto enemy walls, towers, and gatehouses. With wheels, ladders inside, and a small bridge that falls from the top and onto the wall allows the siege tower to get their troops closer to the enemy. Along the front side they often put up iron plates or leathers in an attempt to protect them from fire. Often they are filled with soldiers that are protected by the wooden walls.

Siege Weapon 2 - Counterweight Trebuchet - A large siege engine capable of launched three hundred pound objects great distances with incredible speed and force. These weapons are used mainly for hitting walls and other structures during sieges. They could be used to launch projectiles at a range into lines of infantry but this was not their true purpose.

Siege Weapon 3 - Battering Ram - Large wooden battering rams set upon wheels with wooden frames and covers. Infantry must stand and use the weapon but are partially protected by the wooden cover. The ram has a steel cap making it more effective against gates.

Healer - Alchemists - Figures that are mysterious wearing masks and long gowns. Using alchemical concoctions they manage to heal others of their injuries. They are capable of healing people from poisons, and doing other general surgical procedures. Thanks to their potions they are able to give people a higher chance of surviving their surgeries.

Special Unit 1 - Suit-at-Arms - Made by the example of the Legendary Vanguard these living suits of armor are powerful and hard to stop. Capable of marching and following orders these living suits of armor are more effective than most infantry. Stabbing them, piercing them with bolts, there is little one can do to injure them. Incapable of disobeying orders these beings will always act in the best interest of Leongarde, though Magesmiths are required to control them. Axes, Swords, Maces, they carry various sorts of weapons.

Special Unit 2 - Warlord - Magesmiths that are more versed in melee combat than they are for larger scale metal evocation. Instead they wear plate armor and wield various sorts of weapon. There is not a standard weapon for them as they reshape their weapons constantly to suit them. They are quire rare but are powerful warriors in combat. It is also possible for them to reshape their armor to fit their needs.

Special Unit 3 - Tower Knight - Royal Guards of Leongarde that are enhanced via the runes to have incredibly strength. Wearing the heaviest armor available with large rectangular tower shields, they can make a nearly unbreakable wall of steel. Even cavalry can be knocked aside by these power houses. Their main draw back is speed, these heavily clad men are very slow moving. On the bottom of their shields are spikes which can be used to let them dig into the ground planting themselves, or for striking others with them. They are so focused on defense that the only weapon they could need are their massive shields. Their armor is specifically made of Armets, Gorgets, Cuirass(Back and Front), Faulds, Pauldrons, Rerebraces, Cowter, Gauntlets, Greaves, Cuisses, Sabatons, With padded clothing underneath and chain mail worn between the plate and cloth.

Special Unit 4 - Steel Lions - Heavily armored Lionhearted that generally cut their manes so that they can more easily fit into their armor. Using the strength and speed of a lion, despite wearing full chain mail along with plate Plackarts, Bevors, and Sallets. While not as heavily armored as the Tower Knights these units are faster, wielding Glaives.

Special Unit 5 - Mouths of Ko’Rhas/Commanders - Wearing long flowing blue capes while wearing chain mail armor, these warriors are leaders in their own right. However their true strength lays in the power of their booming voices. The speakers are capable of focusing their voices into low booms that are capable of knocking spells off course or even hit something with the force of their roars. As well their shouts can rally soldiers around them or even loudly give commands to the troops near to them, being heard by more than is possible for a normal human. Some see them as heroes of sorts while they wield short swords and are capable in melee though they aren’t as excellent of fighters as the Warlords or Knights.

Strike Team/Infiltration/Battlefield/Treasure Hunting/Bounty Unit 2 - Engineers(Battlefield) - Engineers can work at siege camps on the battlefield to aid in creating more siege weapons. Because of this as time goes on in battle Leongarde can increase the numbers of siege weapons they are using. Engineers can also repair fortifications in battle

Strike Team/Infiltration/Battlefield/Treasure Hunting/Bounty Unit 3 - Bombers(Battlefield) - Those that use powders to create explosives and use them in battles, the bombers are able to create explosives for use. They can load them onto trebuchet and aid in launching them at lines of units. As well they carry a few powder grenades on their persons for use. However, fires are incredibly effective against them and in fact most will run at the sight of it. Piercing their containers will lessen or completely negate the explosive potential of their devices.

AEREGOS

Spear Infantry - Spearmen - The spearmen of Aeregos are quick on their feet and wield long spears. Typically these fighters wear green uniforms.

Light Infantry - Fencer - Wielding rapiers the soldiers of Aeregos prefer mobility and quick slashes in combat. Typically they wear tight green uniforms that allow them to be recognizable without slowing or impeding them in any way. Generally in one on one combat they are more effective but when dealing with heavily armored or numbered foes they are less effective.

Medium Infantry - Monks -Unarmed warriors that move quick using the wind to guide their strikes. Each punch is enhanced by a small burst of force and while they do not wear much armor are quite deadly up close. Dodging is a favored tactic of theirs.

Heavy Infantry - Guardians - Samurai like warriors, the Guardians descend from an ancient line of soldiers of Aeregos. History is quite important to them along with old teachings. In combat they wield Nodachi into combat and they wear Kabuto, Dou or do, Sode, Kote, Mengu, Haidate, Tekko, Mempo, and Suneate made of Iron and Leather. Their role is in defending against large numbers of lightly armor infantry. The weapons they wield can easily cleave through flesh and slice off body parts, though due to the design their weapons are not effective at blocking. As such they prefer to dodge. Against heavy armor they aren’t effective at all.

Ranged Infantry - Archers - Aeregosian archers are trained to notice the wind easily, wind effects their arrows much less as they take it into account with every shot. Otherwise they are simply archers.

Heavy Ranged Infantry - Guardian Archers - Guardians that wear the same armor but mainly use short bows, and Wakizashi for back up weapons at close range.

Light Cavalry - Jouster - Riders of young wyrms, before they grow to their full size. Before the bond for life can be made they must train to ride the Wyrms even when they are young. They did not wish to use these creatures in the war at such a young age, but with how things have escalated it has been deemed necessary to deploy them in battles. The small Wyrmlings are similar in mass to horses though they are shorter, they however can climb, have scaly hides and sharp claws. The Jouster prefers to rush into combat with spears to try and skewer enemies.

Heavy Cavalry - Torrents - Riders that are trained in some of the ways of the Wind Callers. With one arm they wield spears and with the other they create barriers of wind. This allows them to move quickly without any wind resistance while also protecting them from projectiles. During a charge their wind can knock aside spears or pikes, however after first making contact the shield will have to be summoned again.

Mage - Wind Callers - The Magi of Aeregos, these men and women have learned to manipulate the wind and air. They can also create power winds that can cut through flesh but this requires numbers of them working together. In melee they are incredibly unskilled. Wind Callers may use their powers to give them a very slow moving form of flight though they cannot move too far from the ground. These magi are also capable of summoning Wind Elementals and controlling them, though they must remain in control otherwise the Elementals will dissolve.

Special Ranged Unit - Seekers - People with some skill at using wind magic while also being excellent shot. The Seekers generally wear loose fitting clothing and sashes to aid them in noticing winds that will blow their clothing. Using the wind magic they can ensure their arrows cause a burst of force wherever they land. While this doesn’t mean their piercing power is enhance it does cause those hit by their arrows to likely get knocked over. With the enchanted arrows having this wind magic makes them slightly controllable in the air and lets them make the arrows very slightly home in on people.

Siege Weapon 1 - Onager - A catapult, designed for lobbing stones over walls or for hitting them.

Siege Weapon 2 - Ballista - Large wooden devices that launch bolts far distances. They are fairly accurate and can be used to hit infantry, knock men off horses, or even knock people off of walls and fortifications.

Siege Weapon 3 - Pavise - Wooden shields that can be ducked behind for protection. They are set up to protect infantry from arrows and other smaller projectiles. Often they are painted to look like stones or the ground to give a sort of camouflage for archers of Aeregos to use.

Healer - Channelers - Those who can work the life energy in the bodies of others, they use them to increase how quickly the body naturally recovers. Internal injuries are a specialty of theirs while they have little to deal with gaping wounds. Their control of life does not extend to offensive uses, they can also increase the endurance of a person for a short time. Often they wear long restricting robes and chant as they use their magic.

Special Unit 1 - Storm Warriors - The Storm Warriors are those of Aeregos that use lightning magic. Their bodies act as lightning rods and for weapons they use Kanabo of Iron which let them direct their lightning into foes.. These warriors otherwise are like normal soldiers though they are fast with great endurance.

Special Unit 2 - Shatterers - Those who use the magic of Earth like the cliff breaker himself. These men and woman rely on brute strength and speed, gathering momentum and using stones to break armor and bones. To move at such speeds they must wear little making them open to many forms of attack, however generally one doesn’t try to stab a running bull with a knife. Breaking of enemy weapons is a common feat for these unarmed yet dangerous fighters.

Special Unit 3 - Wyrm Riders - Those patient warriors of Aeregos who wish to truly test their skills go out hunting for the ancient Wyrms of the land. They do not intend to kill the mythical creatures and instead spend hours to weeks taming the creatures before returning home riding atop them. These warriors are inducted into the Order of Wind, led by Nabo himself. Normally they wield long spears and wear iron helmets but their true use comes in the form of a Dragon in the sky. Resistant to arrows at parts of their bodies, with large claws, tails, and mouths these creatures can rip apart man and armor like they are nothing.

Special Unit 4 - Wind Elementals - Moving gusts of winds that are summoned by the storm callers, these large elementals are capable of knocking others away and keeping projectiles from reaching infantry. Their bodies can be used to fuel an explosion of wind that knocks down nearby infantry and dismounts cavalry but it is not a fatal blast. Magic is required to defeat them unless something can break into their form, large or heavy enough to break their wind current and causing the creature to simply come apart.

Special Unit 5 - Tempest - The Tempest are deranged and chaotic Storm Callers that are far more powerful than their brethren, yet they have less control over their powers as well. These magi are very dangerous to keep in a battle and as such they rarely deploy more than one if they even do call them into battle. It is not uncommon for them to accidentally kill their own troops but often they direct their attacks towards the enemy. Many Aeregosians heavily dislike these magi.

DISGERAN

Spear Infantry - Heretics - Cannon fodder simply put. *These men and women wear purple colored tunics and wield simple spears. *What they lack in equipment and training they try to make up for in armor. *Heretics are generally weaker than the average soldier.

Light Infantry - Vultures - Called vultures due to their tendency to pick weapons up from the dead and use them. *These units often wield maces, swords, and axes. *Typically they also carry wooden shields and wear purple clothing with helms. *Whatever faction Disgeran fought in the previous battle’s weapons for their light infantry is what the vultures will wield.

Medium Infantry - Ascended - The ascended are people that show signs of corruption. *Some have horns, some claws, others scales, rarely do they look fully human. *They are slightly stronger and more durable than normal humans and generally wield longswords and wear leathers. *They like to rely on their demonic features in combat, head butting with horns, slashing with claws, or protecting themselves with scales.

Heavy Infantry - Blackguard - Clad in black metals the Blackguard are the backbones of most Disgeran armies. *Stalwart and images of pure fear, such as their superior Cretoris. *The Blackguard wear spike armor in an attempt to inspire fear in their enemies. *With this they also show absolute brutality in combat and will not show any sense of morality to scare enemies around them. *Typically they wield two handed maces and axes focusing on killing rather than defending themselves or others.

Ranged Infantry - Heretic Archers -Heretic archers are widely inaccurate, they use numbers rather than actual accuracy. *Normally they wear purple close to show that they are of Disgeran.

Heavy Ranged Infantry - Crossbowmen - Crossbows are much easier to use and troops can be trained in their use more quickly. *Because of this some of their more experiences soldiers are given and trained in the use of crossbows. *However, while they are easier to use actually producing them can be a problem so there are nearly not as many of them as there are archers. *Each of them generally wears a simple iron helm that covers the top of their head, other than that they wear light leather with purple clothing.

Light Cavalry - None

Heavy Cavalry - Black Riders - A division of the Blackguard, these riders wear black and jagged armor that can cause others to become impaled upon their spikes. *Each of them wield lances and ride black horses, some of which are infused with demonic energies to cause them to be more intimidating in appearance with horns on their heads like a ram. *While the spikes on their armor are handy for inspiring fear and attacking, they actually make it easier to use blunt weapons against them.

Mage - Warlock - Summoners of Hellfire and Demonspawn, Warlocks may not be powerful warriors but they are an important aspect of the Disgeran military. *They may summon demons, empower demons, or unleash dark and hellfire magic upon their enemies. *The Warlocks are very versatile in their magic as they can join together in rituals, while working with the Prophet they are capable of even more powerful spells. *Up close the Warlocks are weaker than the heretics though and can easily be killed. *

Special Ranged Unit - Ascended Archers - The Ascended archers do not have horns or claws but they do grow wings. *Because of this they can fly into the air and rain arrows down upon enemies, however their flight is limited and they need to rest after being in the air for a decent amount of time. *During this time they must rest and cannot defend themselves. *

Siege Weapon 1 - Colossus - Colossus are large demons that are used to strike at walls and fortifications. *Because of their slow movement and large bodies they are vulnerable to focused ranged attacks. *With this issue in mind they often need distractions or support to really do any damage. *Summoning them is incredibly taxing and just keeping one around can be dangerous. *

Siege Weapon 2 - Battering Ram - A small battering ram made mostly of wood with a metal cap to it.

Siege Weapon 3 - Mangonel - A catapault that has very poor accuracy and range, however it is also more powerful. *Because of this it is more handy for dealing with infantry but if it is brought close to a wall it can damage one. *

Healer - Necromancers - Necromancers of Disgeran, by sacrificing the lives of others they can heal those they consider worth healing. *Generally magically inclined members are more useful for sacrifices, and more powerful people require a lot more than just one sacrifice.

Special Unit 1 - Nightmare - Creatures that are summoned, living shadows. *They are very weak to magic but nearly immune to normal weaponry. *Their hearts are the only material part of them but they can constantly move their hearts within their bodies. *The Nightmares are capable of sending out spikes of shadow that inspire fear in the minds of those around them. *Doing so will cause enemy units to be weakened or flee while it will motivate Heretics to fight with every ounce of their being.

Special Unit 2 - Infernals - Hulking demons that are at least twice the height of a human. *Each one is strong enough to rip a man in half and generally they wield large falchions and axes for cleaving through numbers of enemies. * *Warlocks must summon these creatures but after being summoned they can be let loose into the fold to seek out enemies. *With how dull their minds are it is quite common for them to accidentally catch Disgeran troops in the crossfire.

Special Unit 3 - Plague Carriers - Undead husks that are created by the Necromancers. *These creatures are often armed with a simple shield and short sword, along with whatever they were wearing. *They are slow moving and can be made from dead enemy units giving them a sort of disguise, however up close it is hard to mistake them for anything living. *In combat they are decent but won’t last against heavy infantry but upon dying their bodies release disease into the air which weakens units around them. *A cloud of green smoke comes out of them a bit after dying but not the very instant. *For ever one of these unit’s the Necromancers must harvest the souls of seven people. *The soul of the corpse doesn’t count.

Special Unit 4 - Hellhounds - Hunting wolves of the void. *Hellhounds are vicious and relentless, but they are not mindless animals. *They are fiends that feast upon magical energy and are nearly impervious to magical attacks. *Drawn to magic users these creatures often ignore those that do not use magic of some sort and can easily be killed by normal weapons. *Enchanted weapons will have little effect on them however, and may instead empower the creatures. *These creatures must be summoned and then handled by non-magic users before being released into battle. *If they are too close to Warlocks or Necromancers they will be unable to fight their instincts and will try to feed on the magi.

Special Unit 5 - Imps - Small and tricky creatures, Imps are demons summoned by Warlocks. *For them to stay a single Warlock must stay in control of them. *These creatures cause a small explosion capable of injuring two people that are very close together. *Simply hitting them can cause them to explode as can letting go of one’s control over them. *While controlling an Imp a Warlock feels everything the Imp feels in a lessened amount.

ARCHEOS

Spear Infantry - Militia - Peasants who have taken up arms in the name of Alu’Terasa against the nonbelievers. *Always they wield spears which are easy to craft and simple enough to use, usually they are sub par and wear simple clothing with coats that are yellow to denote their nation. *However their god does bless them causing the militia to have more morale than standard infantry. *They are large in number.

Light Infantry - Men-at-Arms - Foot soldiers of Archeos, generally employing swords and shields. *While fairly standard with only helms to protect them aside from their yellow colored Gambeson(Padded Linen Jacket), the Men-at-Arms are not easily frightened. *

Medium Infantry - Halberdiers - Specially trained soldiers of Archeos the Halberdiers focs more so on working together to dismount riders and hammer those that wear heavy armor. *Typically they wear simple helms and Linen Gambeson, they are used to facing down cavalry and are not frightened by charging mounts.

Heavy Infantry - Knight - The Knights of Archeos are typically covered in plate armor and carry shields and short swords. *These warriors are power houses devoted to the holy light. *Knights of Archeos have very high morale, because of this they are very willing to follow orders and will require a lot to break formation.

Ranged Infantry -Archers - The archers of Archeos are fairly standard though they are less likely to give in to fear than most. *Typically they wear yellow jackets.

Heavy Ranged Infantry - Longbow Men - Longbow using archers that are considered to be quite skilled. *It takes many years for them to develop their skills and as such it is difficult to replace those that are killed. *Specifically they use the six foot tall longbows that are very powerful but require great strength to draw. *The power of these bows allow them to penetrate medium armor efficiently, and using volleys they can fire at very long ranges though not accurately. * It is standard for them to wear light leathers and yellow tabards of Archeos.

Light Cavalry - Mounted Men-At-Arms - Soldiers often wearing helmets with cloth covering their bodies, colored yellow to show their allegiance. *These men are more trained than the average militia soldier, with steel tipped spears for general engagements. *However they also carry swords as back ups when they have to engage at a stand still, giving them a secondary option should their weapon break or be lost.

Heavy Cavalry - Crusader - *Also known as the Cataphract, these chain mail clad men and women ride on horses that are partially armored as well. *Typically they carry lances and no shields, focusing more so on getting close to the enemy and killing them swiftly. *Often they like to have charges with the intent of trampling infantry and opening lines for their own infantry to pour in behind them. *Archers sometimes work with them to hit an area right before they arrive, sometimes after as well to kill downed soldiers that have survived. *They are not easily scared and will even charge demons and other monstrosities, it takes quite a lot to actually inspire any sort of fear into them and even then their bravery can fight it.

Mage - Paladin - Wielding shortswords, these armored figures act as both casters and warriors. *To cast their magic they need their off hand open, causing them to not be as effective in physical combat. *But they can still use holy magic to smite others,, though their offensive powers aren’t as potent as full fledged magi. *

Special Ranged Unit - Divine Longbows - Dressed in white cloaks with golden hems and sworn to silence as per their mantra, Divine Longbowmen are the upper-most class of archers of Archeos. *Wielding six foot tall bows made of sturdy white wood they do not require material arrows and instead loose arrows of pure light at their targets. *They are raised from childhood to focus entirely on their archery and focus upon Archeos values and as such are poor at fighting in melee combat. *Divine Arrows will go through normal shields, or armor. *

Siege Weapon 1 - War Wagon - The battle wagon is a horse drawn wagon with cover and slits on the sides for those inside to aim bows out of. *While moving it is hard to accurately attack but when stopped it is possible for those inside to fire at walls without fear of them being struck. *Typically the horses have some armor to protect them slightly from attacks, such as bits of chain mail. *As well when stopped the driver usually rests behind the wagon so that he won’t simply be killed by arrows. *Divine Longbowmen are typically not used with this, as the destruction of the wagon would likely mean death to all inside. *The wagons can also make trains that will act as barriers for infantry.

Siege Weapon 2 - Catapult - Siege engines made of wood that launch stones distances. *The catapult is used for striking walls at a distance or even hitting structures behind walls.

Siege Weapon 3 - Ballista - Set up Ballista that fire large bolts for killing infantry, they can also kill mounts quite well.

Special Unit 1 - Champion - Rare units of Archeos Champions are simply the more powerful Paladins of Archeos. *They are capable of smiting foes at greater distances and are more experienced in the use of swords. *Their minds are completely immune to the mental effects of others, mind control, fears, nothing can change their minds. *These Paladin are so rare for they are Champions of Archeos that have undergone great challenges. *One of these challenges is group combat against the Chosen One. *While they most certainly did not defeat him, they survived by combining their might marking them as Champions. *Their longswords are drenched in light magic.

Special Unit 2 - Archon - Beings of pure light that are considered to be angelic. *They carry blades of pure light that can ignore armor. *Their bodies while made of light are capable of being harmed by normal means though their very form is so bright it makes accurate strikes against them nearly impossible. *The Archon are also capable of using the light to cast beams of energy at foes smiting them. *It is also possible for the Archon to fly. *Archons are not effected by fear.

Special Unit 3 - Templar - Powerful warriors of Archeos, the Templars are nearly immune to magic. *Protectors of the temples of Archeos these strong figures wield large Lucernes that are enchanted with holy light. *While they are immune to magic the Templar prefer to go without too heavy of armor. *With chain mail covering their bodies and a breastplate, they prefer to go without helms. *It is a creed of theirs to show that they are but men and woman that wish to protect the pilgrims and faithful of Archeos. *They have a strong hatred of magic not related to the light. *The Templar are very resistant to being intimidated.

Special Unit 4 - Soothers - Calming members of Archeos, the soothers are capable of causing units near to them to be immune to fear effects. *Those that stand by these followers of the light are more confident and will even fight without fear of death. *However these holy men carry no weapons and wear simple yellow robes.

Strike Team/Infiltration/Battlefield/Treasure Hunting/Bounty Unit 2 - (Battlefield) Saint - The epitome of the healing magic of Alu’Terasa that has been given to humans. *These healers are able to bring others back from the very brink of death. *If one had had their throat slit, limbs ripped off while having both lungs removed if the person is quickly dying but still technically alive these people can bring them back. *Saints are very rare and are not allowed to engage in combat, as a matter of fact they prefer to be at the backs of battlefields. *Their devotion is so pure that many decide to blind themselves yet they can always tell a faithful of Archeos from those of other nations. *To heal someone of great power they must sacrifice themselves and it will require more than one to do such an act.

FIRANOS

Spear Infantry - Firanos Spearmen - Simple spear men of Firanos that wear red clothing to denote their faction. There is nothing remarkable about them as they’re simply standard soldiers carrying spears.

Light Infantry - Swordsmen - Normal soldiers that wear simple clothing that is red in color, they wield short swords with one hand and wooden shields with leather coverings in their off hand.

Medium Infantry - Burning Bladesmen - Warriors of Firanos that use burning weapons. While they do not cause as much bloodshed, their swords due inflict a great deal of pain and after heating enemy armor enough it will weaken. They carry longswords generally. Normally they wear leather armor.

Heavy Infantry - Legionnaires - A Legion of Pike Wielding Iron Masked warriors, they were very loyal to Avertus though after his death they still operate within Firanos. Typically they wear heavy leather armor, though their faces are protected by iron masks. Unlike some of the other units in Firanos they do not use fire in any way, preferring the cold steel of their Pikes.

Ranged Infantry - Archers - Archers of Firanos are not very remarkable. They’re trained well in the use of bows and typically wear red clothing to denote their nation. Typically they also carry short swords for use as back up weapons.

Heavy Ranged Infantry - None

Light Cavalry - Spear Cavalry - Mounted spearmen of Firanos they are acting cavalry with the intent of charging down infantry and using momentum with a spear for kills. There is nothing remarkable about these cavalry as they are pretty standard.

Heavy Cavalry - Burning Blade Cavalry - Mounted burning Bladesmen they typically wear simple iron helms. Beside that they wear padded red jackets with clothing underneath. In one hand normally they carry broadswords that are heated. While their weapons cause less bloodshed they do inflict more pain on targets and if they make contact with armor frequently enough they can weaken metals.

Mage - Fire Mages - Magi specializing in the art of summoning fire from the sky, ground, or within their own bodies, Fire Mages are dangerous units. They have a good deal of control over their fire and can essentially act as artillery lobbing down fireballs upon enemies. It is common for them to also start fires across thick grasslands or forests in battle. While their fire is hot it does not simply melt flesh, bone, or steel. However the heat and fire is more than enough to kill most men.

Special Ranged Unit - Fire Archers - The famed Fire Archers of Firanos, they launch flaming arrows at their foes. It is common for them to aim further in towards the bulks of armies trying to ensure that any fires they start are away from their own lines. They are well trained in targeting siege equipment since many of them are made of wood and can easily be set ablaze.

Siege Weapon 1 - War Balloon - War Balloons of Firanos that contain two man teams. They have a side mounted Ballista. One of them operates the weapon while the other uses rudimentary fire magic to drive the balloon.

Siege Weapon 2 - Catapult - The catapult of Firanos is typically used to launch burning tar. Upon hitting the ground it can cause fires to spread and block areas off from infantry. It is very useful for getting men off of walls or for killing numbers of infantry that are bunched up.

Siege Weapon 3 - Fire Birds - Gliders made of leathers that are normally too heavy to fly, however with the use of fire magic one can use them to stay in the air and get across the battlefield. The leathers are preserved in a way to specifically make them fire resistant so that one can use the head of fire to help stay up. Often trails of fire follow in the air behind them, and while they aren’t capable of true flight they can travel great distances. However a single tear or hole in the leather can cause them to be grounded very swiftly likely killing the user.

Healer - Mender - Fire Magi that are actually not focused on offense. Instead they are capable of using fire with great precision at close range and can cauterize wounds with their fires. However aside from the stopping of bleeding, they aren’t skilled in other sorts of healing. Unfortunately their form of healing is incredibly painful.

Special Unit 1 - Fire Monks - Fast moving men and women that typically wear light leathers. Every one of their punches and kicks carry fire with them making them fast moving blazing warriors. The monks are also able to breath fire, and while it has a short range it spreads wide making it more effective against numbers at extremely close range.

Special Unit 2 - Pheonix Guards - Led by Seron. The most elite units in Firanos and quite rare. Pheonix guard typically wear heavy armor, in their right hands are often burning broadswords while with their left hands they cast short range fire magic. They are capable of making very quick charges fueled by fire launching from their backs propelling them forwards.

Special Unit 3 - Talmu Salamander - Large Salamander almost the size of a horse, these creatures breath thick smoke which can obscure vision and choke those around them. Their bodies are pitch black in color and are capable of using their bellies for suffocating fires. The Firanos deploy them to put out fires among their own lines so that their normal infantry do not burn to death due to possible recklessness. It’s blood is used in the creature of their leathers since boiling armor in it will make it highly resistant to fire. Due to their mostly peaceful nature these creatures require little direction as they are trained before hand to protect only Firanos soldiers from their own fires. Their hides are not particularly resistant to any weaponry though they are burning hot to the touch. It is possible for them to break thick smoke while moving backwards creating a screen through which none can see.

Special Unit 4 - Fire Elementals - Beings of pure fire, the elementals are humanoid in shape. They are able to spit, control, and summon fire from within their own bodies. Fire Elementals use their own bodies to fuel their attacks and while they are capable up close warriors they will need to be fed more fuel by the Fire Magi requiring them to get within range of the Fire Magi if they are nearly spent of everything. It is possible for them to use up so much of their own body that they kill themselves. Magic is more effective against these elementals than steel or normal weaponry. However if one can kill the fuel for the fire it may end, thus water and large amounts of thrown soil can be dangerous to them.

Special Unit 5 - Volcanoes - The more powerful variant of fire Magi, Volcanoes are capable of manipulating and launched magma through the air. However their fire is so powerful they are actually forced to wait long periods of time between attacks otherwise they can kill themselves from the heat alone. In the air magma moves slower than fire and will take time to reach a target zone. At close range they are also not effective for using their magic will very likely kill them.

Strike Team/Infiltration/Battlefield/Treasure Hunting/Bounty Unit 1 - Hunter(Battlefield) - Those trained in the art of slaying large creatures, the Hunters often carry pikes that end in fire as they are capable of heating their weapons with magic. Some are trained under Xuan, a focus of theirs is to kill off the mythical creatures of other nations making them less common, they especially wish to kill off those that are tamed and used for warfare. Typically they also carry nets which can be lit ablaze after throwing them onto creatures.

Now then I'll be using NPC's for this battle, my own. These are less likely to be brought into the actual Realm since this isn't really what I was asked to do. So while they may be fun for the battle don't expect to actually see any of them unless E1 ends up liking them.

Unfortunately she gave in to a temptation and began to have an affair with a soldier. While it was never discovered by the others who her lover was the fact that an affair existed got out. She was to be faced with either death or exile with exile being the more shameful choice to her people. Out in the desert she was to die, yet she received clarity. Discovering an oasis she stayed there for a time before being stumbled upon by a Seer. She confessed her past to him expecting shame or possible death yet he merely gave her no response on who she was. Instead all he cared about was understand what she was, a human being. This interaction gave her an incredibly high view of the Seers while he seemed to notice how quickly her mind opened up to the ideas of others. Taking her back to Scaravus indeed he discovered her potential and trained her in the ways of the Seers. Now she joins her people in battle trying to open her mind and not her eyes to the world around her.
Equipment: In’am wears simple robes and wrappings that are common to the Seers. Because of them it is difficult to tell her gender.
Abilities: In’am is capable of seeing the area around her from a bird’s eye view, focusing on the magic of the Seers to gain information about the area around them. She is also capable of floating lowly off of the ground .

Faction: Scaravus
Name: Abd-al-hamid
Appearance: Abd is a short man with dark skin and short black hair. His eyes are amber in color and he has a short beard. He is lean in appearance.
About: A Raider of Scaravus, Abd-al-hamid started out as a guard of a town in Scaravus. Simply he did his job until the call for war became too great and acting as a guard was not enough to protect his homeland. So he left to join their forces and showed promise in aiding in ambushes. Because of his time as a guard he was knowledgeable about places that bandits would use to ambush civilians and took a page out of their book. His skills weren’t remarkable but instead he was wanted for his tactical knowledge. Eventually he reached the rank of captain and has been helping the Scarav soldiers plan their movements.
Equipment: Shamshir Scimitar, padded leather chest piece, bracers, and a brown tunic with a symbol of Scarav upon it. He wears a head wrap as well and a sash that are both white in color.
Abilities: None

Faction: Scaravus
Name: Banshee Hashim
Appearance: Hashim is a very wild looking man that paints his face to resemble a human skull. He has lighter skin as his bloodline hails from Leongarde. Hashim is quite short though it is hard to tell that when he is on horseback. He is completely bald with thick black eyebrows and green eyes.
About: A Banshee of Scaravus, Hashim was once a bandit living in the deserts. He would frequently ride horses with a group and attack innocents up until being captured by the Scaravus military. Preparing for his execution he was freed by a raid of Leongarde soldiers that wished to fight against the desert warriors. Unfortunately for them even though he was a lawless bandit he preferred the deserts of Scaravus and was against the encroachment of Reinard’s rule upon the land. For this they gave him the option of imprisonment or joining with the Banshees. Without much else of an option he did indeed decide to ride with them and frequently took the charge during their raids earning him a place leading them. Frequently in battle he will give up on his attacks to rush off to save important figures and bring them onto his horse. With his small size and light weight his horse is able to move faster with more room for others upon his horse.
Equipment: Horseman’s Pick, a white outfit with trailing cloth and a white head scarf that covers his face aside from his eyes. One looking through the opening would see blackness with a skull in the middle. His white garb has iron studs on it and he also wears leather bracers.
Abilities: None

Faction:
Name: Captain Maram
Appearance: A woman that is well toned, Maram typically keeps a deal of her skin exposed. However her flesh is capable of changing colors so often it merely tries to match the environment she is in. Her head is shaved so that her hair does not damage her camouflage.
Scaravus: A Spider of Scaravus, Maram used to live among the rooftops of Scaravus. She would steal from others and even kill those that got in her way as every day she only wished to survive. With her great skills she did get by but only just barely. After hearing of the need for soldiers her interest was gained when she heard of how they were fed for simply fighting. To her it would be an easy task yet after signing up during her first ambush things turned out to be more than she bargained for. In her next battle she did far better by using rock formations to get a height advantage and kill a Shieldgarde that was forming a small line against their skirmish. Using this opening the men alongside her poured through the opening and killed the ten Leongarde soldiers. It was then that she received her Partisan. For this she was blessed to become a Scorpion and fight alongside them. After a few more successful ambushes of small groups she was becoming a somewhat well known soldier for her use of stealth on the battlefield.
Equipment: Maram wears colors to generally match the environment. A simple tunic covering her chest and groin area. She always has spiders in brown upon her chest and back so that she can be recognized by her people. In her hands is often a long partisan pilfered from another nation, it is steel tipped. She also wears Scorpion Claws on both arms as gauntlets.
Abilities: Maram can leap high into the air and change the color of her skin to match environments.

Disgeran NPC's

Faction: Disgeran
Name: Demon Varis
Appearance: Varis is a being of average height with very pale skin and gray eyes. Sprouting from his forehead are two thick black horns. The skin on his body is covered in pale scales with them especially focusing around his face and throat. Tattoos mark his skin that are blood red to make him look like a bleeding person at a distance.
About: An Ascended of Disgeran, Varis was once a warrior of Archeos. However the doom callers of Disgeran managed to convince him to leave his land and go to Disgeran. Arriving it was apparent to him that things were not as they seemed while he fought alongside their men in battle. Numbers mattered a deal to them yet lives didn’t, something he took note of. Wishing to have a higher chance of survival he wished to become ascended and needed sacrifices to the Meragia of Disgeran to do so. Going to his home town he discovered his family, parents, children, and wife. Bringing them with him he took these close people to his new home after tricking them about the direction they would be heading in. Believing they were going into Lionglade after having their map tampered with, they arrived in the Blood Vale. It was there that he turned upon them and killed them. Drinking their blood, shouting to the god, nothing seemed to be working until he was blessed. Growing black horns, scaled skin, and claws he became a very demonic being for his patricide, matricide, prolicide, and uxoricide. With his successful turning into a Demonic entity he became a leader among the Ascended giving them all something to strive towards. Varis has no care for a concept of “war crimes” and instead only cares about what works.
Equipment: Varis wears the arm and leg armor of the black guard. Across his chest he wears human leather with faces sewn across it to inspire fear in those that would oppose him. The fingers of his gauntlets are exposed letting his clawed hands through. Varis wields a longsword.
Abilities: Varis may infuse his weapon with dark energy.

Faction: Disgeran
Name: Blackguard Totar
Appearance: Totar is a tall dark haired man with large muscles. He has scars across his chest in long lines that are parallel to each other.
About: A Blackguard of Disgeran, even as a child he was well known for manipulating others. With his large size and natural strength he was recruited early on to become a Blackguard. Training underneath them was incredibly brutal but the true challenge for him was not giving in to his fear of those around him. Eventually his master approached him talking about how they could get a better rank for themselves by killing Cretoris. How if he died that his master would become a general of Disgeran while Totar could become one of the captains of the Blackguard. The man aided his master in planning this and helped him convince others to join their cause. When the day came a group of Blackguard led by his master ambushed Cretoris to find him surrounded by crossbowmen and ascended whom which killed them. The reason for this was Totar’s betrayal. He manipulated the others into killing themselves and revealing their treacherous intent. Since his master had perished he was next in line and became a Captain of the Blackguard. This sort of manipulation was applauded by some while others thought it was cowardly.
Equipment: Blackguard Spike Plate Armor, he wields a large black steel axe with a skull on the back end of it. A tabard that is worn and torn is upon his armor that is dark purple with a goat skull as a cod piece.
Abilities: None

Faction: Disgeran
Name: Reaper Morticus
Appearance: Morticus has an undead left arm, it is not truly living with rotting flesh that hangs from it. Often he wraps it in cloth to make him less recognizable. His hair is long yet sparse with the top of his head being bald. He has heavily wrinkled skin showing his age and in his right eye he is blind.
About: A Necromancer of Disgeran, and old grave keeper of Disgeran after hearing of the power of Necromancy Morticus became intrigued. Rushing off to Disgeran he was met with a great deal of taunts and nearly killed until a necromancer asked for him to be spared. It wasn’t truly a sign of mercy, rather interest in how fascinated the man was with the dead. He was trained in the arts of necromancy and seemed overjoyed by the use of the souls of others as fuel for magic.
Equipment: Morticus carries a shovel with him that has skulls hanging from it, it is wrapped in human leather with dried fingers hanging from the skulls. He wears dark purple robes with skulls painted on them as well as black trousers.
Abilities: By sacrificing twenty Disgeran units he can place a soul barrier around someone for four turns. If seven Disgeran units are sacrificed he can create a Plague Carrier, he can sacrifice Disgeran units to heal others or himself depending on the power of the person being healed.

Faction: Disgeran
Name: Demon Callus
Appearance: Callus has scaled skin with large bat wings. His right arm is more muscular than his left while his left wrist is thicker. He is quite tall with long legs and arms. The man has brown eyes and short dark brown hair.
About: An Ascended Archer of Disgeran, Callus started out as an archer of Leongarde. Once he was known as Caliss a man that fought for honor. However during a small raid upon Disgeran towns one happened to be full of heretics and many others. Much of his group was killed while he removed his armor giving it to a villager convincing them they could escape the tyranny and flee to Leongarde while he stayed to free their people. While running off in the armor the villager was killed as Caliss became known as Callus to sound more Disgeran and took on the man’s life. Eventually he was drafted by force into the Disgeran army as a heretic archer. During training and early battles it became apparent he was highly skilled though they didn’t know why. He was far too terrified to ever go back home for fear of being killed by even his own people as he instead found a place within Disgeran. Due to his show in battle of his skill he was promoted and ascended to be given demonic enhancements. Eventually one noticed his fear and demanded to know of his past and in a moment of true fear he announced his background while speaking about his will to stay with Disgeran. Truly they didn’t care as long as he continued to fight for them, currently he is a captain of the ascended archers and will often direct them in battle.
Equipment: Callus wears leather armor with bracers to protect his arms. He wears a dark purple tunic with metal tipped boots.
Abilities: Callus can infuse his arrows with shadow magic.

If you do go for a posting limit that will mean you'd need judges rather than just fighting it out till there is one faction standing (in the case of none of the objectives being fulfilled). That could make it hard since judging 6 factions would be complex. I like the 24hr time limit. Since there won't be any generals will there still be one person with overall control of the army?

Tolvo
06-24-2013, 01:27 AM
Well to my knowledge for GM'ing these battles we are supposed to use posting limits. I was going to just judge it myself, this is a dream battle that also serves to beta test things. People can have fun and test things out, strategies, maybe get some bragging rights if they really want but in the grand scheme of things this won't influence the war. So I didn't see a need for other judges, and I can easily judge the battle myself. Now if I don't end up needing a posting limit then yes, it'll just go till it ends, or until I think it has gone on too long. Which it shouldn't but I should just mention that in case.

- - - Updated - - -

There will be a lead commander for each army, with other ranking officers underneath them that can take over for the faction. Meaning just killing a leader won't seal the deal for you.

I'm in!
just Idk which Oc' I currently want to use.

@Judging Good point, that makes sense.
@Officers Ok.

@P.K I'm in the same boat lol. Guess I'll wait to see if anyone else joins Archeos of Aero.

Tolvo
06-24-2013, 01:35 AM
Sounds good PK. Also I' considering switching up the Faction placement, I also wanted to test out some units that might not see each other in combat for a while, as in they are of factions very far apart. So, people could test out say, Scaravus versus Disgeran, or Leongarde versus Aeregos. I might switch Leongarde and Scarav, since being wedged between Archeos and Leongarde, Scarav is basically going to be brute forced to hell which I don't want to see.

P.K.
06-24-2013, 01:37 AM
lol don't want to see? XD

I may got with Shani this battle :P since she need some action to.

Also dough we are still doing that mission on chapter five right!? right!?

DoughGuy

Well then if Jac doesn't go Kai (since he's like 2 characters in one) I'll probably bring Shiko in.
And yeah we should be, depends on if Hastur makes it out alive.

Tolvo, will we have access to the Scorpions in this beta-test?

Tolvo
06-24-2013, 01:55 AM
I will likely be throwing in at least a few of each of the more powerful units to test them out. And as was mentioned, you'll get a voice in the battle so you may get to command such troops depending on what happens.

Also is the map clear enough to everybody? I wasn't sure if size would be an issue.

DoughGuy
06-24-2013, 01:59 AM
Size is fine to me. And an if we get to command some units I want to join Archeos XD

Cfavano
06-24-2013, 02:03 AM
I would like some sort of reference for distance. it looks like this could be several hundred miles of ground. and is it still the 1 character per person?

(the distance key is so people don't complain when Mar snipes)

Tolvo
06-24-2013, 02:09 AM
I'll start cranking the numbers. One character per person.

Cfavano
06-24-2013, 02:11 AM

do I rock out as Sogarr, or kick ass and annoy pk and edd as davrin. hmmm. decisions, decisions.

DoughGuy
06-24-2013, 02:12 AM
When your reason for playing a character is to annoy other people you should know not to play that character.

Tolvo
06-24-2013, 02:13 AM
I'll possibly do something like, 3,000 meters by 3,000 meters, possibly more so that snipers aren't just OP as hell.

Cfavano
06-24-2013, 02:13 AM
i was just kidding XD

Can the players use the mountain passes to get to a high vantage point so as to provide a good sniping area?

- - - Updated - - -

I know metric is cool and all, but many of us aren't familiar with it so...can use use the english system?

Tolvo
06-24-2013, 02:18 AM
It would be a bit shy of 10,000 feet. I'll actually probably have to make it larger looking at the map again.

If the pass is Dark Green, rather than being at the normal ground level that mean it is going up the mountain. So yes you'd have a height advantage.

Eddren
06-24-2013, 02:19 AM
If Davrin makes the mistake of trying to accompany Dez/Karrha, they'd probably pull rank and order him to remain with the front-line soldiers. Because, you know, Sergeants can do that.

P.K.
06-24-2013, 02:23 AM
lol CF? annoy me? no you would just annoy Karrha who might shot you and make it look like an accident -innocent smile-

Shani might just think your crazy...

Cfavano
06-24-2013, 02:34 AM
you see, that's if he listens

And so, roughly 1.75 miles. Yeah, because how that one mountain pass by the fort is, it would be a perfect place for snipers and artillery.

Tolvo
06-24-2013, 02:36 AM
Well, holding that fort if someone captures it isn't going to be an easy task.

DoughGuy
06-24-2013, 02:39 AM
Listening to superior officers is a good way to live Cf.

@Tolvo On the subject of holding the fort. If you get your mages to it how long will you have to hold the circle to win?

Eddren
06-24-2013, 02:43 AM
Yeah, Cf, my plan for your character would actually be to just chop him in half if he doesn't listen the first time, for two reasons.
First, after his third dream-battle, he'd start realizing when shit wasn't real.
Second, he's a fucking Sorcerer, and killing him would actually bring the Mage some satisfaction. Especially when he blatantly disregards orders.

Cfavano
06-24-2013, 02:46 AM
racist >_>

not everyone gifted by arcane power can be stuffy eggheads.

Plus, his skills could come in handy. He is a quick draw with his spells. Plus, he is actually able to fight off attackers in melee. And the whole, you know, cloaking armor bit?

Tolvo
06-24-2013, 02:48 AM
Guys not in this thread please.

Dough, that is a good question. I haven't fully decided yet. I'll probably go, 5-10 turns.

DoughGuy
06-24-2013, 02:50 AM
Damn that's pretty long. I would say 10 will probably be impossible but 5 sounds good. It's both long enough to be an effort yet also reasonable considering the battle length. Maybe 7 (for a third of the battle) at most imo.

Eddren
06-24-2013, 02:53 AM
See, here's the problem.
Dez doesn't trust people who are cripplingly irresponsible, which Davrin is. He's not about to let the Sorcerer anywhere near his men, because he knows that he's perfectly capable of getting them all killed by being stupid. Dez doesn't trust him to be anything else, so he doesn't give two fucks whether or not Davrin has any skills, he's got no faith whatsoever that the guy knows anything whatsoever about discipline, following orders, and holding off on attacking until the right moment.
Which, of course, he's perfectly correct about if that other battle's anything to judge by.

Cfavano
06-24-2013, 02:58 AM
well, that's that then, I guess. Two conflicting Ideologies. Dez likes to plot and plan, and Davrin likes to make the first punch.

But alright I'll go with shani.

Tolvo

If you save the map you can zoom in on it yourself. Otherwise I have no idea, it is a 1000 by 1000 pixel map so it should appear larger but it doesn't for some reason.

By the way I can put up the Scarav units in a bit.

Jacogos
06-24-2013, 05:18 PM

Alright the Scaravus units for the battle are up if you wish to get acquainted with them. There may be some minor spelling errors in there but I'll of course correct them for the final product. Some units are missing you might notice, such as Siege Unit 2, that means they cannot be used in this battlefield for some reason. As a teaser, one unit requires sand which isn't present.

Eddren
06-24-2013, 08:25 PM
I have a few ideas as to what to do already.

Tolvo
06-24-2013, 08:30 PM

It does help that the Taeleron have been the focus of our discussions before.

Tolvo
06-24-2013, 08:39 PM
Yep, you can also look at the map again, it has been updated with new positions. By the way, at the start of the battles factions will not exactly know the whereabouts of each other. If you can't see the other faction from where you start, logically you won't know they are there. So Aeregos, no idea that Scaravus is there.

Cfavano
06-24-2013, 08:40 PM
I see you used my wicker shield idea

Eddren
06-24-2013, 08:41 PM

Tolvo
06-24-2013, 08:45 PM
Yes I used the wicker shields. While I didn't use the units that you had suggest exactly the wicker shields could be quite useful without going full blown defense for Scaravus. Edd and Jac also made some useful suggestions.

Alright, adding those characters. Also the Leongarde units for testing are up.

CrestOfArtorias
06-25-2013, 07:42 AM
Small suggestion for Leongarde:

The german Schaller(with visor) and Bevors might fit the style quite well.

Though I just realized I should have said that in the troop thread, damnit tabbed-browsing!

Tolvo
06-25-2013, 07:46 AM
The Schaller is the german version of the standard Sallet. The difference is just the visor, generally the ones with the Sallets also have a have Bevors, which cover the lower half of their heads. So it is a two part armor that gives the effect of a vistor while fully protecting the throat.

- - - Updated - - -

I'm not against the visor though, perhaps I will for one of them.

E hasn't updated the warrior's thread in awhile. You should be able ot find them through the search function though.

Tuk from Leongarde (http://rparealmsofwar.wikia.com/wiki/Tuk_Pinderknock)

Tolvo
06-25-2013, 03:28 PM
Found her just before you linked that haha.

The Imposter
06-25-2013, 03:36 PM
Yeah that's her. E has been supes busy so hasn't had time to edit all the characters in and stuff. I noticed even the generals haven't been done in quite some time.

I thought you knew her because of the Warlord unit for Leongarde....pretty much is what Tuk will become. Using the evocation for creating weapons and being offensive and such.

Tolvo
06-25-2013, 03:40 PM
Nope I actually didn't know of her, but hmm. That might give good cause for the Warlords to perhaps listen to her. It might make sense for units to listen to PC characters that would fit in with them.

"You want us to fire volleys over there? Well I'm not sure, be he's an archer so maybe he knows what he's talking about."

CrestOfArtorias
06-25-2013, 03:55 PM
Well that makes sense, I mean soldiers are more inclined to listen to someone who is of the same trade as them. A marine might take suggestions from an army men, but he would rather take suggestions from another marine.

The Disgeran Test Units are now up.

Cfavano
06-25-2013, 10:21 PM
I now know disgeran's true weakness!

Eddren
06-25-2013, 10:31 PM
I have this feeling that Vaerminthras heavily influenced the Disgeren summoned creatures.

Tolvo
06-25-2013, 10:35 PM
Somewhat, the plague explosion yes, but undead seem in line with Disg since they do have mention of them in ways and Necromancy. Imps as well, but the Nightmare and Colossus weren't related. Though Jac did name the Colossus, originally it was Goliath but I liked Colossus better.

Eddren
06-25-2013, 11:31 PM
I just basically looked and went 'Most of these guys seem like something Vaerminthras would summon. Or mentioned summoning. Or actually summoned.'

Jacogos
06-25-2013, 11:40 PM
Hey. I actually had little input on these guys xD

As far as Disgeran goes, I didn't really give any input whatsoever. Tolvo was just like "Hey, guess what: THIS GUY" and I'm like "Sold."

Well, J, I DID say Vaerminthras influenced it. Not J, but V.

Archeos units for testing are up now. Just Firanos left to do and when the Runes are reworked this can start.

06-26-2013, 06:40 AM
Looks good :)

Tolvo
06-26-2013, 06:40 AM
The Firanos units are now up for the beta test.

All Test units are now up and can be examined. The battle is pretty much set up, there are a few things to work out but they won't take too long. However I would like to wait for the runic overhaul and for you guys to have your new runes for this battle.

Eddren
06-26-2013, 07:09 AM
Brev's almost just like almost all of their units. Burning swordsmen, Phoenix Guard...

Tolvo
06-26-2013, 07:14 AM
Well the swordsman are based off of the old Firanos ones from their initiation in the RP. Seron's description mentions him leading the Phoenix Guard, so I based them a bit off of him. The Salamander are actually my favorite Firanos unit.

Eddren
06-26-2013, 07:26 AM
I'm a bit unnerved by the idea of giant salamanders roaming the battlefield.

Tolvo
06-26-2013, 07:30 AM
Aeregos already had dragons, so I went a bit more classical with something that breaths heat. Plus they make for pretty nice support units.

Eddren
06-26-2013, 07:32 AM
Yeah, I suppose. Well, it's too bad I can't have both my OCs in a battle at once. I'm sure Seron'll be here, if his Phoenix Guard are.

P.K.
06-26-2013, 03:34 PM
lol um Salamanders XD I know they are fire and all but they where biased off the Phoenix o-o ah who cares! can they be ridden? XD

Tolvo
06-26-2013, 03:35 PM
It'd be like riding a fire since they are so incredibly hot, but if you can find a way to dissipate the heat then yes technically you can ride them. Actually a Salamander rider isn't a bad idea for the regular unit. I'll have to toy around with that idea.

Tolvo
06-26-2013, 03:54 PM

06-26-2013, 04:45 PM
I actually am not sure what you mean, Tolvo xD

Tolvo
06-26-2013, 04:48 PM
"How does it feel to carry a faction by yourself?"

Davrin is also fighting for Scarav. I don't care what you meant! I like the sick burn version better!

We haven't added ranks for this Chapter yet, soo... they might be subject to change.

Cfavano
06-26-2013, 05:55 PM
PK, Davin isn't mage. He's a Sorcerer. There's a difference.

A mage's spells are like the precise thrusts and parries of a fencer.

A Sorcerer's spells are like the arcing greataxe swings of a barbarian.

P.K.
06-26-2013, 05:56 PM

Fine. and they are both magic users >> happy now?

06-26-2013, 05:56 PM
Sorcerer is another word for magician, mage is another word for magician.

Cfavano
06-26-2013, 05:58 PM
it's really like knights and men-at-arms.

All Knights are men-at-arms, but not all men-at-arms are knights.

I'm about to put up the IC, do not post in it yet. It is to give reference for people who are still waiting to sign up and finalize things, I will not put the battle part up yet, when I do it though that will mean it is time for the battle to begin and for people to start posting.

Jacogos
06-26-2013, 07:55 PM
Might want to more clearly define the differences between platoons, squads, and the third one (memory fails me yet again).

Tolvo
06-26-2013, 07:59 PM
Well I do have the, -1- and =1= listed, but it's a bit difficult to think of a better way to do it other than just say "Platoon/Squad" before the number but it would end up being a real clusterfuck if so. Companies are the third, but aside from the heretics I couldn't really call any companies. Nor could I go as far as a battalion(Which are usually led by Colonels) since that would basically be up to a thousand men.

Eddren
06-26-2013, 08:05 PM
Oh, Tolvo! Idea!
How 'bout putting little minuses down where the squads are positioned? Ah, hell. That'd probably be a lot of work, especially because with as many as there are, it's unlikely we'd be able to differentiate them.

Tolvo
06-26-2013, 08:10 PM
I can dabble with things, like for Spearmen Representing them as S, so for platoons =S= with the color of their faction and adding a key off to the side of the map. It'd be a lot of work but I can give it a quick try to see if it really works.

Eddren
06-26-2013, 08:12 PM
Was just thinking that troop positioning would be a really nice thing to keep track of. I could potentially walk into less circumstances of 'Fuck, cast the wrong spell at the wrong place.' If that happened.

P.K.
06-26-2013, 08:21 PM
lol Suddenly Karrha dose not feel so special XD

Eddren
06-26-2013, 08:22 PM
Why's that?

P.K.
06-26-2013, 08:30 PM
Healer - Hydromage - Ancient magicians of Scaravus. To survive in the desert one will require food and water. The essentials of life can be quite scarce out in the open dunes and as such a special few developed a method useful for survival. After the boon of magic in the region given by the runes, Meragia, and such sources they have discovered ways to use their control over water to heal others. Soothing burns, removing poisons, and helping to regenerate damaged tissue faster.

Her's isen't exactly like this XD but its still close to the same general work out of what she dose its just more in her blood rather then the ruins.

Tolvo
06-26-2013, 08:32 PM
Wait, there is a character in the RP that uses water magic?

Eddren
06-26-2013, 08:32 PM
Well, that's true. XP He'd still take her over them, because Dez has more use for innate Magic than artificially grafted Magic.

- - - Updated - - -

Also Tolvo, see Dezeroth. That and lightning are his two primary weapons.

Tolvo
06-26-2013, 08:33 PM
http://img543.imageshack.us/img543/2033/ol0.png

So is this understandable?

=S= means a spear platoon.

* means they are a commander. A means archer. -BR- means a Squad of Black Riders. The Col is a Colossus. The =L= is a Platoon of the Legion of Firanos.

P.K.
06-26-2013, 08:35 PM
No Tolvo XD Karrha has magic that comes with her blood line thats is healing. But she dose the same basic thing as the healers do with out the water, except removing poison O-o

lol Its nice to know karrha's appreciated :P
You do relize though when I made her she wasn't intended to have healing magic? XD but thats what every one else seemed to think so I went with it and then it just stuck.

Tolvo
06-26-2013, 08:36 PM
Each faction has healers PK, if you look every faction has some kind of healers with Archeos having the best ones.

- - - Updated - - -

And Firanos have the wosrt healers.

Eddren
06-26-2013, 08:37 PM
Yeah, I can understand it. It takes a bit getting used to, but I get the gist of it, which is what's important.

P.K.
06-26-2013, 08:38 PM
I don't understand it at all o-o but thats okay.

I didn't see anything healer ish to Argos :O of coarse I only really just now looked at it.

Tolvo
06-26-2013, 08:42 PM
The Channeler of Aeregos, they are better suited for dealing with internal injuries. Hydromages can sooth burns and remove poisons. Alchemists are also very good against poisons. Necromancers can heal but must sacrifice souls to do so. The Menders are good for stopping bleeding but nothing much else really. And the priests of Archeos are good at healing everything.

Eddren
06-26-2013, 08:43 PM
Also, J, how does it feel to be carrying a whole faction?
Well, it feels like Brevsin deserves a bloody promotion! I don't know how much sense it would make, though.
'For valiantly nearly committing suicide twice and surviving, and saving Ra'Shor from being an idiot, and saving Seron from not being as much of an idiot, we're promoting you. In fact, looking at Ra'Shor's previous performance, we're replacing him with you. In fact, we're adopting you into Far'Khira's family.'

P.K.
06-26-2013, 08:43 PM
lol XD Okay well. Karrha can do pretty much all of it to a less extent. If she could get past her magical block she might even be able to heal herself >.>

However she can't seem to do that and is stuck simply stopping her own bleeding. The only think I can't see her doing is removing poison magically, that would have to be done manly :P

Edit:
Dude! that would be freaking awesome! XD

Eddren
06-26-2013, 08:46 PM
Of course, then I'd have to spend a lot of time deliberating over which Runes I'd want for the sudden promotion.
'Hmm...Do I want...ALL...The runes...Or just...All the runes?'

Tolvo
06-26-2013, 08:49 PM
I'm sad to say I don't think I'll be able to give markers for each unit, I'd need the map to be something like 10,000 by 10,000 pixels. I'll just have to use the markers on the map, like bridges, forests, etc, with descriptions to get general placement across.

Eddren
06-26-2013, 08:53 PM
That's okay. So, I noticed Dez gets to be in the panel of Commanders. :P He's moving up in the world.

P.K.
06-26-2013, 08:54 PM
Oo? what panel?

Eddren
06-26-2013, 08:54 PM
For this battle. He's one of the Commanders.

P.K.
06-26-2013, 08:57 PM
OH okay I see it now XD

Dang I'm still tempted to put Karrha in there but geez XD

Also Tolvo shani would only be considers Militia right?

Tolvo
06-26-2013, 08:57 PM
You will actually be getting a say in troop placement for the battle, when I have the descriptions of the NPC's fully up I'll talk with you about what sort of tactic you wish for them to employ. Then the other leaders will take it into consideration and it will determine the layout of Scaravus forces.

- - - Updated - - -

Yeah Shani would be Militia basically.

P.K.
06-26-2013, 08:58 PM
Mkay, I thought so since she wouldn't seem to fit anywhere else :P like... at all XD

Eddren
06-26-2013, 09:02 PM
Just as a warning, since this is basically a testing battle, I'll be using it to test the spell-limitation concept. I'm trying to debate over a .9 spell regeneration per turn, or a .5 spell regeneration per turn. I'll be using .5 for this battle, .9 for all other battles.

Tolvo
06-26-2013, 09:05 PM
I'm fine with people testing things themselves.

Also if you want to get an idea of the types of NPC's that you'll be seeing in the battle before they're all up.

Faction: Firanos
Name: Phoenix Guard Reimus
Appearance: Reimus is a short and lean man without any hair upon his body. Heavy scars cover his head, hands, and legs. These burn marks make him quite recognizable among normal men. His skin is tan and his eyes a dark green.
About: A Phoenix Guard of Firanos, Reimus was raised into this warrior lineage. Taken in at a young age he trained and fought for most of his life. To be one so close to the King of Firanos he would need to be proven as loyal, to do so one must be willing to jump into a pit of fire at the command of the King himself. Doing so and surviving is seen as a rite of passage for the Phoenix Guard, their birth from the flames making them ever so much closer to the Phoenix King. Their role is generally split between protecting the King with every fiber of their beings and going out as shock troopers decimating enemy positions quickly. Reimus cares little for glory and actually dislikes those that make foolish charges, instead he prefers to see others simply doing their duty and following orders. A favorite tactic of his when engaging in combat is to light his long cape on fire mid charge then remove and throw it around a foe causing them to burn to death.
Equipment: This Guard wears a steel chest plate with braces, shin guards, and leather around his torso. In his right hand he carries a sturdy broadsword. Upon his back sit’s a cape that is long and red. His uniform is padded and red in color with the insignia of Firanos upon it.
Abilities: Reimus is capable of launching himself with fire at quick speeds, he can also light his blade on fire, and shoot fire from his hands

Cfavano

where would Davrin be?

Tolvo
06-26-2013, 09:09 PM
The players can position themselves where they want in the general area of their army.

- - - Updated - - -

So think about which direction you want to go in the battle.

Cfavano
06-26-2013, 09:11 PM
front line! Davrin excels at close-quarters casting.

The Imposter
06-26-2013, 09:12 PM
Tolvo, I'm not too sure about having the NPC's about in it. I get the feeling if we read too many of them all our characters will fall in line with everything they like, and we will use the information to please the NPCs. (I obviously know we all won't, but some of us would be more inclined than others.)

P.K.
06-26-2013, 09:13 PM
I guess shani well be somewhere near the commanders where she can easily hear orders. I think thats sort of where she was in her first battle, behind the front line or somewhere around the middle line untill she joined some friends and went out into the actual battle.

Tolvo
06-26-2013, 09:14 PM
Hmm, that is a fair point. I think though it should be a given, "People in charge like it when others listen to them."

P.K.
06-26-2013, 09:18 PM
lol. Shani's one willing to listen o-o she's also willing to be the runner for messages. since she not an easy target when she's running faster then almost anyone else on foot.

lol I just looked at Arch's numbers XD there are more priestess then anything else!!

Cfavano
06-26-2013, 09:20 PM
not an easy target? She has bright red hair XD

Eddren
06-26-2013, 09:20 PM
Hey, Tolvo. If you take a gander at Dez's background, it states that he spent a lot of time under the supervision of Scaravus military. Thinking the Captain could be one of the ones who spent time supervising him?

P.K.
06-26-2013, 09:22 PM
CF :P she has bright hair. she's a target, not an easy one to hit XD speacily when she's running through a crowed and top speed weaving around people and pulling of flippign stunts like she did in her first battle. yes?

Tolvo
06-26-2013, 09:22 PM
I'll think about it Edd.

Eddren
06-26-2013, 09:28 PM
M'kay. Also, the front line, Tolvo, might be composed only of Davrin. You know, since there's little reason that a faction of Ambushers would have a defined front line.

Jacogos
06-26-2013, 09:34 PM
Btw Tolvo, what I meant by better defin (though I can see why you misunderstood and apologize) the different groups is like a general size of each type of group. Cause I certainly don't know them off the top o mind.

Tolvo
06-26-2013, 09:36 PM
Ah okay, a squad is like, 6-10. A Platoon is like, 20-60.

I'll probably go, 10 is a squad, 50 is a platoon.

Cfavano
06-26-2013, 09:44 PM
Pk, She was caught by a snake who professed to not be good at combat.

P.K.
06-26-2013, 09:47 PM
Wrong... she was caught by the General who she was in combat with at the time. NOT running across the battle field at full speed working on NOT being a target, In fact she was making herself a target on propose to get their attention away from the archers.

Second the wyrm born did help but He's not the one who knocked her out.

Cfavano
06-26-2013, 09:49 PM
He's not?

have I thought for all this time that Shani was beaten by Oko, and been wrong?

Tolvo
06-26-2013, 09:49 PM
To be fair Oko could have probably beaten Sogar, Oko was not the most skilled fighter but he was one of the dirtiest ones to ever exist in the RP.

Jacogos
06-26-2013, 09:50 PM
Of course you were wrong about that cf. since when do you pay attention to detail :P

Thanks Tolvo, so does that make heretic companies at about 100 or so?

Tolvo
06-26-2013, 09:54 PM
Yep.

P.K.
06-26-2013, 09:54 PM
lol CF you didn't read that Battle very well did you?
Oko used his whispers to distract her but she eventually figured something was amiss but it was around that time she made a mistake and held to her staff while the general sent a rough shock through it knocking her out cold.

But seriously she would be a very hard person to catch when she's running away and not to you. when she's not trying to make herself a big target I'm sure she can do it. When she is making herself a target, I know she can do that.

Cfavano
06-26-2013, 09:56 PM
She's smart. But can she outsmart a bullet?

P.K.
06-26-2013, 09:59 PM
Bullets don't have brains. so technically yes. the question you should be askign is well the bullet hit her when she's moving as fast as she can at odd angles and freerunning at the same time? hum? :P

she's managed to dodge being turned into Jelly and begin turned into Fried chicken, I think she can last a while longer.

Cfavano
06-26-2013, 10:00 PM
I know Mar want's to get another crack at killing batslut

Tolvo
06-26-2013, 10:21 PM
Alright the Leaders of each army are up. Just need to finish up the last NPC's and we can start this battle.

Eddren
06-26-2013, 10:24 PM
Are we waiting for runes or no?

Tolvo
06-26-2013, 10:26 PM
I'm unsure about waiting for the runes now, currently there are no characters that have any of the really abusive rune traits currently signed up for this battle. So we should be able to proceed normally.

Eddren
06-26-2013, 10:29 PM
Alright, then. In that case, next up is troop positioning, right?

Jacogos
06-26-2013, 10:30 PM
What about new ranks? Some characters will be affected by the conclusion that goes up after Leongarde is completely finished.

Eddren
06-26-2013, 10:31 PM
Does it really have to--Oh, yeah, Leongarde needs its crest.

- - - Updated - - -

Hey, Tolvo. Why don't we host the battle in the night? It's not something that really seems to be done often, and I think it could lead to some interesting changes in the way the battle's fought.

Tolvo
06-26-2013, 10:34 PM
Some people might be getting a rank up, I suppose I can wait for E1's word on that since we might have another player in a Commander role then.

Cfavano
06-26-2013, 10:39 PM
Ooh, could Davrin have been the one Seer In'am had an affair with?

Tolvo
06-26-2013, 10:41 PM
I was actually planning on having the battle start just as the sun sets.

Also FUCK NO CF. You also didn't actually read her information did you? You just saw "Affair" and jumped right for it.

06-26-2013, 10:50 PM
I should have known better than to write an offhand mention of a sexual history to a character with CF around.

I wonder if he also realizes the person she had an affair with would have been a scumbag.

By the way Hatter I see you are reading this, if you want in finalize by telling me the character you'll be using. I missed some of the earlier sign ups due to chatter.

Not hard to see. There's a little thing at the bottom that says who's currently browsing the thread.

Who is Sileo?

"I'm sorry if I upset you by wanting to have my character have a sexual history with an NPC that is a respected Seer of Scaravus.

I mean...She's probably old and wrinkly anyway. Fucking her would be boring."

Am I understanding your words right CF?

Cfavano
06-26-2013, 11:34 PM
nope. By being 'boring' I mean, you do not like romance, so, even if there was a sort of relationship, you wouldn't be at your best, and it might not be good reading.

Tolvo
06-26-2013, 11:37 PM
I'm a romantic, I just don't do romance because most romances in RP's are cookie cutter and uninteresting in my book. But we've gotten too off topic, back onto the topic of the dream battle.

Now if only I had made the map look like Hyrule slightly.

Eddren
06-26-2013, 11:38 PM
You could make the ruins somewhat more triangular, and have three triangular towers within it...

- - - Updated - - -

I mean, it wouldn't be any Hyrule, but since Hyrule drastically changes the way it looks every game, that's not saying much.

Tolvo
06-26-2013, 11:40 PM
"Welcome to the ruins of Hyrule!"

It's actually called a Link to the Past for another reason, but I couldn't help but reference such a great game. These are Ruins after all. When I do the introduction you guys will actually get a bit of information about the Ruins.

Cfavano
06-26-2013, 11:41 PM

my god....Totar is a Sith!

or at least influenced by them XD

Tolvo
06-27-2013, 01:26 AM
It is more so Totar isn't a total dummy head.

Though I do wish I had gone through with the idea of giving someone a preserved bull penis as a cod piece to intimidate others.

Eddren
06-27-2013, 01:28 AM
I...Don't know what to think of that.

Tolvo
06-27-2013, 01:30 AM
It was going to be for Mr V, to give a slight reference to Satyrs which were known for raping people with large erections.

But I decided that the human flesh armor and such were enough, and the bull penis was pushing it.

Jacogos
06-27-2013, 01:31 AM
Ahhh... my people are so much fun ^.^

Eddren
06-27-2013, 01:34 AM
...So are you saying that he, theoretically, would have been raping people with a preserved bull penis?

P.K.
06-27-2013, 01:34 AM
I'm not sure I want to think of that...

Tolvo
06-27-2013, 01:35 AM
Oh no, it was just going to be for intimidation. Frankly if I saw a demonic looking guy with a one of them I'd turn the hell around and never return.

Eddren
06-27-2013, 01:37 AM
I'm not entirely sure turning around is the correct response to such a situation.
Frankly, it'd be terrifying if it weren't so amusing.

Cfavano
06-27-2013, 01:37 AM
do it!

- - - Updated - - -

you know, in my original draft of Sogarr, he was to have shrunken human heads on his belt. I think I might add that before the next chapter.

Jacogos
06-27-2013, 01:47 AM
So you want him to be ousted from Leongarde for carrying around the heads of the only people he's killed: his countrymen? xDxDxD

Cfavano
06-27-2013, 01:49 AM
You obviously don't know a lot about his culture. Reinard, after taking the tribals into the fold, allowed them to keep their culture. Two of those facets are cannibalism, and the preservation of the heads of fallen enemies and friends.

P.K.
06-27-2013, 01:51 AM
cannibalism? Are you sure? o-o

DoughGuy
06-27-2013, 01:54 AM
We're gonna need a citation there Cf.

Cfavano
06-27-2013, 01:55 AM
yes. and it's not as 'bad' as you think.

His people believe that the amount of 'energy' in the world is finite. When someone dies, that energy is distributed throught the rest of the people. However, by eating of the flesh of someone, you can be ensured to gain a much larger portion of that energy. For example, you would eat of a mighty warrior to gain his strength and courage, or of a sagacious elder to gain his wisdom.

When a family member dies, his family joins together in a grand feast celebrating his life. And the meal? the body.

Of course, if the flesh is rotten or tainted, they won't eat it then. They burn it, and do a ceremonial dance for the same effect.

- - - Updated - - -

Sogarr was influenced greatly by several world cultures such as the Maori culture.

DoughGuy
06-27-2013, 01:57 AM
I hope the family enjoys its easily transmitted diseases meal.

Tolvo
06-27-2013, 01:57 AM
It's kind of odd that he would have so much in common with the Necromancers of Disgeran, I'm surprised Reinard is okay with that when he doesn't even like when people get killed from behind.

P.K.
06-27-2013, 01:59 AM

Cf's blood thirsty dude.

no but do you know how akwerd that might be if they where in some way related? O_O

Cfavano
06-27-2013, 02:09 AM
Shani is of the romanticized 'middle ages' culture in leongarde.

Sogarr is of the brutal 'tribal' culture in leongarde.

DoughGuy
06-27-2013, 02:11 AM
Still waiting on your source for this Cf

P.K.
06-27-2013, 02:13 AM
lol CF

Say one of the tribe men fell in love with one of the small village girls that lived in what is now called blood vale? yes? A either steal her and bring her back or B settle down where she was.

XD so ya. Awkward. Awkward Awkward!

Timid little shani related to great big warriors O_O see the difference?
She took more to her mothers side XD

Cfavano
06-27-2013, 02:20 AM
I get your idea, I do. I think it's a great idea. but the tribes typically stuck to themselves, or to kidnapped women. If you want them to be related, sure. He might even be able to teach her how to fight.

As Sogarr is my character, his relatives, which include his tribe, are also mine. So, the source is me.

E1 never posted anything about them, but accepted Sogarr's backstory of taking part in a war of unification. Therefore, unless any contradictory information is given, as my character is part of said culture, I can shape it to however I wish.

Tolvo
06-27-2013, 02:22 AM
Jac, you should PM E1 about that. I'm a bit busy, I'm sure you are too. But fuck me doing anything!

06-27-2013, 02:24 AM

He's only 35

Plus, he was essentially an orphan.
