Introductions

Along the Western border of Firanos close to their small beaches a Fort sits close to a set of hills and some woods. It has been erected as a forwards alarm in case of an attack on their people, yet a battle has indeed begun to the South. Aeregosians have somehow gotten to their shores with a decently sized force and began to march towards the capital. With Wyrm Riders and Storm Warriors along with a group of Wind Callers it seems like they've been trying to slip through to perhaps assassinate the King or deal a powerful blow to the city. However Firanos scouts have discovered the army and with a few returning Seron has been charged with heading the defense of Firanos with his Phoenix Guards. However, the tactician that is Seron noticed that the size of their force is insulting to Firanos. To take their city truly a larger army would be needed and he has suspected that it is a ruse. While he mounts the defense and prepares for a battle he has tasked Brevsin with defending one of the important tools of Firanos in case it is the true target. In the small Fort to the West is a captured Wyrm Rider of Aeregos. The man is believed to have important information about the patrols, trade, and troop movements of Aeregos. After capturing him with the help of a hunter he has been kept in the Fort under guard hoping his presence would be kept a secret. They intended to keep the man sedated along with his Wyrm until a royal interrogator could arrive to grill the man for everything he knows before they would execute him and his Wyrm. Their wish was to keep him away from the capital where if loosed his Wyrm could deal a lot of damage. Seron dispatched Brevsin with two Phoenix Guards of his choosing to ensure that the two stay under their control.

It was mid day currently with the sun high in the sky. Brevsin was upon one of the towers along the wall currently in the mostly wooden Fort. Talmu Salamander were patrolling the inside of the walls searching for fire, since a widespread fire could be very dangerous to the fort itself. Pikemen were split up at both entrances, two guarding each one currently. Many of the men were in the barracks with two Swordsmen stood around the Wyrm guarding it. Currently Crispus was at the jail along with two Spearmen and Cael was by the Wyrm. Albanus was resting in the North West barracks currently. There was a captured Wyrm Rider also in the Jail in the Easternmost cell. Those resting in the barracks had much of their gear in the armory currently while the storage house was full of their food and simpler supplies.

Kaizen had heard of the capture of a Wyrm Rider that had been out scouting at the command of Empress. The man was known for his love of the Dragons. Originally they had planned to cut their loss believing them to be dead but one of their forwards scouts happened to have been watching the Fort he was transported to. Realizing that Aeregosian secrets may be in the hands of Firanos a plan was put into motion. Using the water ways from Paladin's Grove they transport a small Army to the East followed by a smaller force. The Army was going to head towards Firanos and feint an attack as the smaller force which Kaizen was a part of would strike the Fort. Three Wyrmborn would be joining him in their task force one of which was an older warrior, a veteran of the war. It was his plan to stage this entire feint and hit tactic. They would be arriving from the South among the hills while the ground troops would come from the North in the forest. Their ground troops would direct the attention of others towards the walls and outside as they tried to fight their way in while the Wyrmborn and Kaizen would seek out the Wyrm Rider and his mount to free them.

It was roughly mid day as Kaizen could see the Fort in the distance. There were guards positioned around the openings to the Fort and it seemed like they were not expecting the striking force. A man was standing atop a wooden tower and while he didn't look like a standard soldier Kaizen had no idea who he was. Qing was waiting for the signal of the sounds of battle when the ground troops would engage the guards. Kaizen could join with their aerial infiltration into the Fort or he could aid the ground troops in distracting the defenses. Up above the sun was bright without a cloud in a sky. Aeregosian soldiers were preparing to assault the Eastern wall and try to force their way in. They had little understanding of the layout but knew that the Wyrm would be in the Eastern side of the camp and its Rider in the Western side. Talmu were also known to be within but truly they are not dangerous creatures except in extreme situations. It was also known that they would have to act fast, for after it was discovered that the army marching East was already heading back West their would be reinforcements heading to the Fort. Upon being discovered those within might even try to kill the Wyrm since the creature is so dangerous.

During his training he was hand selected due to his skills to join the ranks of the Wyrmborn and as such has spent much of his life resembling the Wyrms of Aeregos. Hai has a history of viciousness towards the enemies of the Dynasty and frequently he will kill first and ask questions later. While once he was a monk the man never really fit in with their teachings, he was always anxious about going to war.
Equipment: 2 War Pick, Green Cloth Uniform, Scale mail chest piece.
Abilities: None

Faction: Aeregos
Name: Shui

About: A Wyrmborn of Aeregos, Shui was once a fledgling Wind Caller. For war she was brought onto the frontlines with the intent of using her wind magic to make a difference. However it was far to weak to project much more than armor, though unbeknownst to her superiors she was an experienced fighter after practicing against the monks of her temple. During a battle the lines of Wind Callers were threatened by a quick moving skirmisher but she dropped her magical duties and picked up a fallen sword to engage the would be assassin. After killing them she was inducted into the Wyrmborn to better make use of her talents.
Equipment: 2 War Pick, Green Cloth Uniform.
Abilities: Shui may bless another’s armor to be covered in wind and protect them from one physical attack or projectile.

Faction: Aeregos

The man still is quite well toned with a long pointed mustache hanging from his face. He has claws upon his hands and feet along with scaled wings, his skin is a pale green in color while his eyes are blue.
About: A Wyrmborn of Aeregos, Qing is an old veteran that started his career at a young age. The son of a soldier, and grandson of a soldier Qing knew that he would need to continue their blood line. His father was actually called to war while his sister offered to their father’s place since Qing was in poor health, to prove women were just as good of soldiers. Qing however told her that she had a future elsewhere and that he was the one training to be a warrior along with the fact that he would become healthier in time. He also brought up how there are already many women serving in the military and that there was nothing to prove. Qing went off to train with others whom which were impressed with his work. He was known for quick thinking and using his brain rather than his body to effect battles around him. After managing to defeat a group of blackguard using simply a group of rocks on a mountain pass he was promoted with a focus upon planning battles rather than taking up a role in them. They noticed that his tactics were more suited to Scaravus and while this turned off many of his contemporaries others recognized the need for such tactics. Growing wiser with age he altogether would avoid combat to simply watch from camps and hills trying to ensure as many men and women would come home to their families. Eventually he was blessed for his service to join the Wyrmborn and help plan their battles. With his health declining the man has been taking more hands on approaches wishing to die in the service rather than at home. Qing had a small part in the planning of the taking of Paladin’s Grove which gained him even more prestige, though as said it was only a small part dealing with their possible retreat.

Faction: Aeregos

About: A Wyrm Rider of Aeregos, Wei is a young and experienced rider known for his passion for the Wyrms. After hearing about Xuan and his hatred of the Wyrms this man rushed off to try and protect them from the Wyrm Hunter. After spending his time defending their hunting grounds the man stumbled across one and felt drawn to it. Seeking to keep the noble creature safe he felt that perhaps by becoming its rider he could ensure its safety for much of its life. Rather than being tasked with charging into battle on the back of his new mount, the man was suggested to be a scout of sorts. Patrolling areas and also spying on the enemies from the sky. One night while resting in their meager camp Wei was stumbled upon by a group of Firanos warriors searching for him after seeing him in the skies. Using fungus they managed to drug him and his Wyrm and keep them in a comatose state, using groups of wagons along with horses to drag the Wyrm back into Firanos. Using the creature as a way to weaken the man, by threatening to injure it they plan to use his own passion against him.
Equipment: Simple ragged leggings. Confiscated, Spear, Leather Chest Piece, Leather Helm, Green Uniform, Bag of Maps.
Abilities: None

Faction: Firanos
Name: Crispus
Appearance: A man with red curly hair, Crispus’ appearance makes many not take the man serious, even as an adult he has some freckles and also has a mole above his left eye. With prominent cheeks and a very flat face he has a very strange appearance.
About: A Phoenix Guard of Firanos, Crispus actually started as a Fire Magi. He was somewhat known for being unruly up until being properly trained for military service to soften out his edges. In battle it was discovered that frequently he would try to get in close while using his fire magic and that he would take up the weapons of his fallen brethren to engulf them in flames and use them to kill enemies. Seing his interest in physical combat combined with his magical prowess it was only natural to induct him into the Phoenix Guard. Due to his fire capabilities during his right he was barely even touched by the flames and survived with passing colors. Often others have looked down on him for his appearance even after becoming a Phoenix Guard.
Equipment: Red Uniform, Metal Chest Piece, Short Sword.
Abilities: Long Range Fire Magic, Weapon Enchantment Fire.

However during a battle he managed to aid Seron in getting away from Mordus right before the death of the Leongarde General. After defending the man and ensuring he was healed, Seron came to somewhat know the Soldier. With the two speaking it was discovered that Caelinus wished to become a Phoenix Guard, as such he was given the opportunity to train and join with them. The training was simple enough and after going through his Rite the man surprised others with his survival. Caelinus then went on to fight in his first battle helping to deal with the flanks of the Firanos army against the Ekros, though little could be done from his position. The creatures frightened the man and ever since engaging them would do his best to get positions to the South and West.
Equipment: Spear, Plate chest, Shin, and Wrist Guards. Red Uniform with Leather Armor.
Abilities: Short Range Fire Magic, Flaming Wings.

Faction: Firanos
Name: Wyrm Hunter Albanus

However after hearing of beings such as the Talmu, his eyes were drawn towards hunting larger game. After killing his first Taeloron by setting up a large pit for it to fall to its death inside of, he was blessed slightly. However he got more praise for the stalking and capture of a Wyrm which he masterminded. After spotting the creature in the sky, he formed a plan and after waiting for when it would need to rest he sought the camp of its rider out. Using fungus he knew of from his earlier days he drugged the two and used wagons to bring them back to Firanos. Hoping to kill the dragon after the information has been extracted from the rider, Albanus is becoming more and more known.
Equipment: Weighted Net, Pike, Fur lined Leather Armor, Smoke Bomb.
Abilities: Albanus can light his weapon on fire.

Spear Infantry - Spearmen - The spearmen of Aeregos are quick on their feet and wield long spears. Typically these fighters wear green uniforms.

Light Infantry - Fencer - Wielding rapiers the soldiers of Aeregos prefer mobility and quick slashes in combat. Typically they wear tight green uniforms that allow them to be recognizable without slowing or impeding them in any way. Generally in one on one combat they are more effective but when dealing with heavily armored or numbered foes they are less effective.

Medium Infantry - Monks -Unarmed warriors that move quick using the wind to guide their strikes. Each punch is enhanced by a small burst of force and while they do not wear much armor are quite deadly up close. Dodging is a favored tactic of theirs.

Heavy Infantry - Guardians - Samurai like warriors, the Guardians descend from an ancient line of soldiers of Aeregos. History is quite important to them along with old teachings. In combat they wield Nodachi into combat and they wear Kabuto, Dou or do, Sode, Kote, Mengu, Haidate, Tekko, Mempo, and Suneate made of Iron and Leather. Their role is in defending against large numbers of lightly armor infantry. The weapons they wield can easily cleave through flesh and slice off body parts, though due to the design their weapons are not effective at blocking. As such they prefer to dodge. Against heavy armor they aren’t effective at all.

Ranged Infantry - Archers - Aeregosian archers are trained to notice the wind easily, wind effects their arrows much less as they take it into account with every shot. Otherwise they are simply archers.

Special Unit 3 - Wyrm Riders - Those patient warriors of Aeregos who wish to truly test their skills go out hunting for the ancient Wyrms of the land. They do not intend to kill the mythical creatures and instead spend hours to weeks taming the creatures before returning home riding atop them. These warriors are inducted into the Order of Wind, led by Nabo himself. Normally they wield long spears and wear iron helmets but their true use comes in the form of a Dragon in the sky. Resistant to arrows at parts of their bodies, with large claws, tails, and mouths these creatures can rip apart man and armor like they are nothing.

Strike Team/Infiltration/Battlefield/Treasure Hunting/Bounty Unit 1 - Wyrmborn(Strike Force) - The Wyrmborn of Aeregos are blessed by the Meragia and have taken on draconic aspects. With scaled skin, claws, and dragon wings. They are capable of tucking in their wings to hide them somewhat but are capable of short flight and gliding. Normally they only carry war picks, these warriors otherwise can easily use their clawed hands and feet for combat. With incredibly speed the Wyrmborn are able to strike quickly using their quickness for heavy initial strikes on foes. Other than their skin they wear little armor allowing them to be even more mobile.

Strike Team/Infiltration/Battlefield/Treasure Hunting/Bounty Unit 2 - (Strike Force) - Phoenix Guards - Led by Seron. The most elite units in Firanos and quite rare. Phoenix guard typically wear heavy armor, in their right hands are often burning broadswords while with their left hands they cast short range fire magic. They are capable of making very quick charges fueled by fire launching from their backs propelling them forwards, with flaming wings upon their backs it allows them to glide.

Strike Team/Infiltration/Battlefield/Treasure Hunting/Bounty Unit 1 - Hunter(Battlefield) - Those trained in the art of slaying large creatures, the Hunters often carry pikes that end in fire as they are capable of heating their weapons with magic. Some are trained under Xuan, a focus of theirs is to kill off the mythical creatures of other nations making them less common, they especially wish to kill off those that are tamed and used for warfare. Typically they also carry nets which can be lit ablaze after throwing them onto creatures.

Special Unit 3 - Talmu Salamander - Large Salamander almost the size of a horse, these creatures breath thick smoke which can obscure vision and choke those around them. Their bodies are pitch black in color and are capable of using their bellies for suffocating fires. The Firanos deploy them to put out fires among their own lines so that their normal infantry do not burn to death due to possible recklessness. It’s blood is used in the creature of their leathers since boiling armor in it will make it highly resistant to fire. Due to their mostly peaceful nature these creatures require little direction as they are trained before hand to protect only Firanos soldiers from their own fires. Their hides are not particularly resistant to any weaponry though they are burning hot to the touch. It is possible for them to break thick smoke while moving backwards creating a screen through which none can see.

Spear Infantry - Firanos Spearmen - Simple spear men of Firanos that wear red clothing to denote their faction. There is nothing remarkable about them as they’re simply standard soldiers carrying spears.

Light Infantry - Swordsmen - Normal soldiers that wear simple clothing that is red in color, they wield short swords with one hand and wooden shields with leather coverings in their off hand.

Heavy Infantry - Legionnaires - A Legion of Pike Wielding Iron Masked warriors, they were very loyal to Avertus though after his death they still operate within Firanos. Typically they wear heavy leather armor, though their faces are protected by iron masks. Unlike some of the other units in Firanos they do not use fire in any way, preferring the cold steel of their Pikes.

Ranged Infantry - Archers - Archers of Firanos are not very remarkable. They’re trained well in the use of bows and typically wear red clothing to denote their nation. Typically they also carry short swords for use as back up weapons.

Kaizan studied the walls before him with vague interest, his eyebrows furrowed in thought. This was to be a rather interesting mission, an extraction of an entire Wyrm Rider and his mount. With the lizard, it couldn't be left to stealth. This actually relieved Kaizan greatly, as that wasn't much his forte. His mission at Paladin Grove had taught him that.

Nevertheless, he had to be careful. The plan rested on the lives of a handful of men, so the quicker he worked, the less he had to lose. He wished he was down there helping them, but with his wings, it was much easier for him to join the infiltration team. Everyone knew what they were risking and were prepared to pay those prices if need be. I just want the price to be as cheap as I can make it...

Turning to Hai, Shui, and Qing, Kaizan contemplated the Wyrmborn with a small smirk. The dark green-scaled warriors nearly blended into the foliage around them, which was why Kaizan had picked the forest to be their angle. The hills-direction might've been easier to get to the Jail, according to their scouts, but it was far too open an approach for their one grounded Wyrmborn. They'd be seen within moments. "Do we need to go over the plan one more time?" he asked them, knowing that they probably didn't. Most of them were longer veterans than he, though his ranking might be one of the highest here.

Another fact was that they probably only had time for one more quick run-down. If he had been judging time right, the forward attack would begin soon...

Brevsin walked the perimeter of the Tower, alert as always. Unlike the men below, his task was not just as assigned. As the apprentice of Seron, this was yet another obstacle that he was to overcome, and as such the man would not allow himself to, even for a moment, be overcome by weakness. He looked down at the bracers for a moment; another proof of his apprenticeship, they sealed away his power and taught him to fight relying on more than his oneness with the flame.
What makes THIS Wyrm so important? He glanced out again. Nothing. For now...

Suddenly Brevsin heard cries along their Eastern walls while he was upon their Western ones. Two Guardians that were close to their walls came into sight at the entrance, likely having come from the forest nearby. They were engaging the Pikemen at the entrance while those at the West were standing firm likely in case of a two pronged attack. Fencers came up behind the Guardians to aid the Nodachi wielding warriors in iron armor. A shout came from in the middle of their outpost as a spearmen had spotted them and was yelling. "Alert, Alert! There is an intruder in the base!" After that he also yelled, "Aeregosians!" The man sprinted forwards to join behind the Pikemen and stab in between them at anyone getting close. Currently the Guardians couldn't get close enough to make any killing blows as the Pikes kept them at a distance, funelling the Aeregosian force into the small entrance. However, Monks soon came into sight as they had been climbing the walls, and archer was running along the walls to get into position as he took aim and opened fire striking one of the monks and knocking him off of the wall. Two monks jumped down and made a mad rush for the Wyrm when they were lit ablaze by the Phoenix Guard waiting for them, Cael. One of the Monks dove to the ground and began to roll putting out his fire though he was badly injured, the other merely burned to death quickly. Cael ran over towards the walls to a ladder and began to climb it as Kaizen and the Wyrmborn took flight from the trees and onto the Northern Wall. Their grounded member dug their claws into the wooden walls and climbed up and onto them with their brethren. They could see some of the carnage and fire of the Phoenix guard. Currently they were behind the Northern Center Barracks and were mostly unseen. A Firanos Archer was upon the wall getting ready to fire East at the Aeregosians but Shui quietly crept over and placed a hand on the man's mouth while ramming his fingers through his back and lungs before slitting his throat with her claws as well. He crumbled as she made her way back to the group. Qing pointed over towards what must have been the jail as he took off to land on the barracks in front of them. The others seemed to be following behind Kaizen though the female Wyrmborn was already leaping to hit the wall of the barracks and climb it. To the South East of the camp the Wyrm was getting restless though with its body covered by a steel cage with steel chains binding it, the creature could barely move. Brevsin could see an older looking Wyrmborn land on the rooftop of a barracks, the Northern Center most one.

Kaizan peered up at the sky with a slight frown as he ascended to the wall. Not a cloud in sight... Blast. Shen'Giyuh, if this mission pleases you, even the smallest bit of rain would be a welcome sight. It wasn't much of a prayer, but Kaizan knew that if he bothered the Meragaia with trivial things, what else might he start asking him for? No, better to rely on his own strength that the Serpent had provided him than ask for more when the going had barely gotten tough.

No use worrying about it now... he thought, landing lightly on the wall. Moments later, Qing indicated the building before them and Kaizan followed, wings beating to gain the height in a single leap. Landing lightly atop the wooden building, Kaizan drew up behind the elder Wyrmborn and peered out from the top of the barracks to get an idea of what they were up against.

Men were dying by the gate... not only that, but monks were dying off to the side as well, rushing for the Wyrm cage. The winged man frowned at the caged beast and spoke quickly to the elder man.

"How well trained are the Wyrms? Would he help or hinder us if we released him without his Rider?" Kaizan asked, wings held out in preparation to have to suddenly move. They might get found out pretty quickly and he needed to be ready to move. Not only that, but if he could get the wyrm free first, it would make a grand aid to their cause of freeing its rider, if only for a few minutes.

Brevsin frowned, looking toward the barracks. Why is nobody going to intercept them...? He shook his head. No time for wondering about them. For all he knew, they were just a distraction. Rushing down the tower stairs, he burst out of the entrance, making his way for the Cage. I have to protect that at all costs. Those Monks have already telegraphed their intentions here.

Cael continued to launch fire at the Monks that had moved in his direction as they instead decided to rush towards the Legionnaires from behind while holding their arms back to strike. The already burned one that had put out his fire was again lit on fire and finally he perished. Guardians were trying to use their Nodachi to strike at the hands of the Pikemen, but they were just being too defensive as Spearmen and Swordsmen from within the barracks were now running out and heading towards the armory to remove their weapons from within. The Spearmen were the first to begin rushing towards the battle while two Swordsman ran over towards the Wyrm, two Spearmen also ran in the direction of the jail. Brevsin could see the Monks now had their backs to him while the entrance to the Fort was still being held. Qing spoke quickly to Kaizen, "It would likely act without much regard for our safety, but it would target Fierans before us and recognize the blessed as friendly to it. If you wish to do so simply make sure our own men are not nearby it. We will be freeing the Rider regardless." Shui raised her hands and Kaizen could feel a protective barrier of wind surround himself, "Kaizen Sir, I'll go with you. If we can free the Wyrm our Rider will be able to use it immediately to aid us." She followed behind Kaizen and jumped from the top of the barracks and clung to the side of it about mid way down before letting go and dropping to the ground. The Wyrmborn removed the War Picks from her hips while Qing and the other Wyrmborn jumped from the Barracks and flew over towards the Jail just as two Fierans arrived at it. Kaizen could better see the cage, it had chains attached to steaks outside that looked to be all made of metal weighing down the creature while steel bars of a cage held it in place. Cael started to lean forwards like he was running towards the battle at the entrance, however he instead decided to stay at the Wyrm and walked around it with his sword drawn. Qing began to engage the two Spearmen at the Jail with his Naginata, having a range advantage and mobility advantage quickly he disarmed them fore cutting both men across their shins and disabling them. However he didn't go for killing blows and left they screaming in pain as Swordsmen ran towards them from behind. Kaizen could see in the armory that the gear of the Wyrm Rider was within. Up above in the sky storm clouds appeared for a short time in the shape of an angry serpent that seemed to be looking directly at Kaizen. It was looming and ominous but just as fast as it had come, a giant flaming phoenix came from the East and collided with the cloud pushing it away. During this everyone looked skyward completely dumbfounded before snapping back into action and continuing their fight. Brevsin could swear he saw the Phoenix wink at him before vanishing.

Kaizan looked out over the chaos and frowned, nodding with a quick feigned smile to Shui at her help before returning to his musings. I can't stop to think things through now... People are dying under my watch. The clash in the sky broke him from his thoughts, gaze shooting upwards as he watched the short collision between Meragaia. Seems Far'Khira isn't about to allow the Great Serpent to help me today... Breathing in once and exhaling heavily, Kaizan took wing, launching himself skyward a few dozen feet.

Taking into account the position of the sun, Kaizan focused his attention on the Phoenix Guard in front of the Wyrm's cage. Drawing Purifier into his right hand, the winged warrior angled himself and launched forward with a burst of wind and a heavy beat of his wings, aiming himself directly at the man known as Cael.

What he planned on doing is pass just by the man's side, swinging Purifier at his neck as he did to aim for a clean kill. If the man saw him diving and had time to do more than dodge, Kaizan was prepared to spiral to either side, knowing he could still get in close enough to wound the man if he didn't dodge. If the man noticed with only enough time to dodge, Kaizan would land and dispel Shui's wind barrier, using the gust in hopes to put the man off his feet. This would allow him to close in and go for another quick killing blow.

Smiling wryly at Far'Khira's interference, he stopped for a moment, pulling out a few Daggers. With his powers still sealed, he couldn't ignite them, so he simply hurled a few at the men, before drawing a few more and hurling these too at them. Afterwards, he'd continue.
He was, however, beaten to the Cage by a winged flurry. Brevsin couldn't tell what it was, but he was sure it was Aeregosian, and it was hurtling straight for Cael. Damn! He thought, If he dies, it'll be on MY head! Shaking his head, he continued along his path. No reason to pull out my flames yet.

Since Cael was alert with the Monks heading towards the entrance he spotted Kaizen coming. Fire erupted from his palms while the man lifted his broadsword vertically and used it to deflect Kaizen's blade. Shui was also now running with her War Picks raised, towards Brevsin. Her left hand pick was horizontally held while her right hand one was vertical and overhead. Flames hit Kaizen dead on though they were pushed away by the wind barrier put upon the Aeregosian. Qing had just finished off the standard guards at the jail when he was pushed back by Crispus whom which was launched essentially a spear of fire at them while twisting it in the direction he and the other Wyrmborn dodged to. While daggers normally would do little when thrown, the Monks of Aeregos wear only cloth and not in thick layers meaning they embedded in the backs of a few. One fell to the ground while the others continued to fight while injured, a Legionarre used the butt end of his pike to knock one of the monks out while pushing back the Guardians still. More Spearmen of Firanos went out the West side of the fort to flank the Aeregosians as archers along the walls started to open fire. With the Monks injured or killed by Brevsin the Eastern area was getting locked down quite well by the Pikemen of Firanos. The Wyrm stirred slightly in its cage with its eyes still closed, the creature only moved one wing slightly. Crispus pushed the other members of Aeregos back then did something a bit strange. Kaizen could see him launch a massive fireball but not directed at anyone, it instead went skyward where it errupted and spread out greatly before it dissipated. He then returned his gaze to the two Wyrmborn before him, using his fire to try and create distance yet Qing was using his long Naginata to strike the man across the chest and push him back. Thankfully the Phoenix Guard's chest plate saved his life. Brevsin saw the fire as well but knew what it was, a signal. It would let any of Firanos nearby know to rush to the outpost and send word of a need for reinforcements. Within time more would be arriving.

Kaizan barely paid attention to that which went on around him, only vaguely noticing Shui engaging someone nearby. His focus was instead all on his foe, having thanked Shen'Giyuh that Shui had provided that barrier for him. After the deflected attack, Kaizan braced his wings and changed direction, his feet landing lightly on the ground in front of Cael about five feet away. Before his weight even settled, however, Kaizan was already on the attack again.

Controlling a current of wind, Kaizan threw the equivalent of a magical curveball at Cael, a condensed ball of wind coming from Cael's right-hand side. As soon as this had any effect, Kaizan hopped forward with a flap of his wings and attempted to disarm the Phoenix Guard with a flick of his blade towards the man's hand. He followed up with a short jolt of electricity from his free hand, shooting the hand-sized bolt towards Cael's face.

It was fortunate for Brevsin that he'd suddenly had his attention drawn by the fireball being shot into the sky, or else he wouldn't have noticed Shui. Looking over to see that there were battle-picks heading his way, he'd ready his broadsword, waiting until she had made an attack. Hopefully with both of them. When she finally did make an attack with her Picks, he would dodge to the side of the weapon being used to attack, bringing his broadsword up to catch it by the pointy end before swinging the sword at her, attempting to force the weapon back at his opponent.

Kaizen's wind struck Cael knocking him off balance for a moment as his blade was knocked from his hand by a swift blow on the back of the blade. As lightning arced towards his head the man ducked quickly while tackling Kaizen whom which was point blank in front of him now. With his left hand he grabbed the wrist of Kaizen to try and control his blade while fire seemed to be forming in the man's right hand which he held out and to the side. A semi-clenched fist, with the heat building up quickly. His head was still lowered with his shoulder being placed against Kaizen. While he held the Aeregosian's wrist, the man did not have either arm wrapped around his torso. The sword landed on the soil while Cael straightened his left leg while bending his right to brace himself. Brevsin noticed the woman only strike with one of her weapons, he knocked that one away with his blade while she quickly raised her second pick. Using the area just below the head to catch his weapon in a hook maneuver, the Wyrmborn was now pushing his weapon down to get it out of the way while backhanding the other pick bringing it back towards him. Due to it being hit at the tip she was gripping it slightly to its side now, meaning the side of the pick was moving towards the Fieran's head. Qing's naginata made contact with Crispus' face cutting the man's face badly along his left cheek and drawing blood. However using his flames the Phoenix Guard managed to stab Hai in the leg with his broadsword before pushing them back using his fire magic. Qing continued the fight while Hai turned to face the coming Swordsman with his damaged leg. Using his picks he seemed to be mainly trying to redirect enemy weapons without going for kills, Qing was using his Naginata to give him range against Crispus' fire attacks and Broadsword. Dodging about with his wings he was generally doing better in their duel while a cone of flames forced him to step back. At the East where the soldiers were fighting finally one of the Pikemen were killed by a Nodachi swinging overhead and catching him across the shoulder and into his throat. He buckled and fell to the ground while the other Fierans backed up, with archers support they still tried to hold the ground between the entrance and the dragon, with the monks on the inside dead. The Legionnaires from the West were now rushing over by Qing and Hai towards where the Firanos were fighting the Aeregosians.

Kaizan grunted audibly as the man's head took him in the midsection. Managing to keep balance with his wings, the Aeregosian warrior fought for control of his sword, trying to keep the man from disarming him. Thinking quickly, Kaizan focused, drawing on his power granted to him by Shen'Giyuh. After a few warning crackles along his body, Kaizan's skin erupted in electricity, sparks flying as he sought to incapacitate the man through a large charge directly into his body. If that didn't work, Kaizan moved his free hand to grab the other man's free hand that was charging fire. Ignoring the pain as best he could, he would then flap his wings heavily in an effort to get off the ground, using his and the man's own grip to take them both off the ground. It was a strain, but after a moment he would be able to manage it. After a few feet, he'd try to wriggle free of the man and let him drop.

If the charge incapacitated him, however, Kaizan would immediately move for the Wyrm's chains, looking around for something that might help him free the beast.

Brevsin, having expected something like that, swung his body around to behind her, grabbing hold of her pick with one hand before dropping his broadsword around grabbing her around the throat. Now's time to finish this. Summoning his inner flame, he focused it into unlocking the bracers on his arms, while angling himself so he was out of piercing reach of her one free pick.
