There really is no true way,
For me to ever really say.
What I truly feel for you,
Or when I'll truly be with you.
When the darkness seems to close so fast,
You jump at me, from the past.
Even when it seems like I'm not yearning,
My love for you is like a candle, burning.
When I felt the need to run so far,
I saw you sitting, in the car.
It brought the fire back to my eyes,
I could only quickly look, to the skies.
I'll never forget that sunny day,
It seems so funny, in a way.
I never really knew what to do,
It really now seems, you felt it too.
Did you ever know, that you were in my dreams,
I sometimes wonder if you'll ever know what that means.
The things that no one seems to see,
Are the things that mean the world to me.
The very words that I need to say,
The things I would have said today.
The words that are never really new,
Those three words, "I love you.".
I wrote this at 3 in the morning in August last year... It meant a lot to me then, means a lot to me now. It was my first real poem, if you have any feedback I'd be happy to hear it.
