Scythia Kalta VS Sloth



The dim, artificial lights of the underground laboratory give an occasional flicker, as the sound of heart rythmn monitors bleeping, mixed with the sound of dripping liquid and the faint buzz of electrical devices fills the area, echoing around against the metal plating that cover the wall. The large room is mainly filled with all sorts of high tech machinery and computers, aswell as the occasional glass contained in which a silhouette of both human and non-human creatures can be seen.

However, the silence of the chamber is disturbed as a flicker of violent, purple light appears in one of the few open spaces of the chamber, a rift between reality ripping open as the souls of damned and lost cry out for release. Slowly hovering upwards, a large, twisted humanoid being rises up. Standing at a firm two meters tall, with a large, festering torso and a twisted, tangle covered face. His lower body is draped with black and purple colored robes, with clawed, twisted humanoid feet sticking from underneath. Hovering up and out of the tear in reality, the demonic entity slowly landed on the cold, metal floor, his warped face gazing down at the surface beneath him, before he slowly gazed about. "I am called upon... And my answer has arrived... Who dares to interrupt my slumber and challenge my power...?"

"Daemon of chaos!" Scythia steps out into the open. "I hath slain the heretics that saw fit to call you into being, but it seems my action was not quick enough. Fresh Blood stains her armor, and smoke is coming out of the muzzle of her plasma pistol. Scythia presses the activation rune on the hilt of her Power Sword, and the blade flares to life with it's flaming-blue power field. "Return to the warp, and be damned!" She levels her plasma pistol at sloth, and fires two shots. The extremely bright and super-heated balls of plasma zoom towards Sloth, straight and true.

Sloth rose his hand up, a dark matter barrier forming to block the incoming shots, though one got through and singing through his twisted and corrupted flesh. Sighing annoyed, Sloth spoke up: "Not another one of you so-called righteous crusader... Your kind gets me so... *yawns* ... tired..." With that, Sloth hovered up higher (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwRxL6Wq4Cs) as his hand stretched outwards, spewing forth clouds of shadow to try and cover the inquisitor in them, taking away her sight, aswell as filling her nostrils with a putrid, vile smell.

As the cloud of shadow comes toward her, her servo skull flies off and views the battle from another area, out of sloth's viewing range. Taking a few steps back away from the shadow, and, using the information from her servo skull, Scythia focuses her mind, and unleashes a Molten beam of superheated energy at sloth. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtJgk475Pd8) The heat is so intense that the very air distorts and it could incinerate most biological targets, or reduce vehicles to piles of molten slag.

The clouds of smoke seemed to completely envelop the beam, seemingly nullifying its effects, as the only thing that hit Sloth felt like some hot exhaust air. "I am not impressed... Allow me to show you fire..." Extending his hands towards the fog, blazing fires erupted from his hands, mixing with the dark shadows, as suddenly, his fiery attack was combined with the nullified attack of the inquisitor herself, a mixture of smog, flame and magma being the result, as it spew forward to try and consume the inquisitor.

Scythia takes a few steps back as the cloud overtakes her. She coughs a few times, and it makes her slightly dizzy. She manages to shake it off. "Foul beast, I have stood up to the putrid miasma of Nurgle unafraid, and thou thinkest that this smog is set to deter me?" Her servo skull watching from it's hidden alcove, sends her a silent warning of building heat, and she jumps to the side, barely dodging the melta blast. She could still feel the heat on the back of her skull as it blew overhead, and saw that it melted a few pieces of machinery. Using the smog as cover, she ducks in between machinery, using them as cover, trying to get to a more advantageous position. At a mental command, her Servo skull moves to avoid being detected. While moving, she vents the heat from her plasma pistol, to prevent it from overheating.

Having lost track of the human, Sloth continued to hover in his current location, shadow magic gatherin in his hands as he began conjuring up an orb of dark energy, which twitched and spazzed occasionally as it slowly grew in between his hands. While doing so, he continued hovering up at a rather decent height, seemingly completely ignoring any of his surroundings. The smoke of shadows would slowly begin to disperse and dissipate.

Keeping low and to the shadows, she lurked around to sloth's backside, seeking to flank him. At a command, the servo skull swoops out of the shadows and zips around sloth a few times, to distract Sloth, before it hides again While it was Zipping, Scythia charged from cover, and fired 4 shots from her plasma pistol, before Slashing downward with the rending power of her power sword. "Die, Daemon!" If Sloth counter attacked, she would attempt to roll out of the way, and launch her own counter attack; another swipe with her power sword.

Sloth disregarded the presence of the skull shaped probe, simply yawning as he continued to conjure up his orb of shadow. When the Inquisitor emerged at last and took her shots, the plasma bolts homed in on Sloth's back, and hit their mark perfectly, causing the demon to grunt out as his shadow orb went flying off. Falling to the ground, he dissipated into shadow, but his orb struck one of the machinery nearby, and the conflicting meeting between magic and machine caused the machines power reserves to go haywire, sending an overload of energy over the entire network. Cables that laid on the metallic floor began to spark dangerously, and the dimly lit lamps began to shine a little bright, many of the lamps just bursting into fragments from the overdose of energy. Everything within the facility seemed to have become a volatile timebomb. Everything that was somehow connected to a power source, which was a lot.

Sloth in the meantime arose from the shadows in a different part of the lab. "Tiresome... You self-righteous types are always..." He yawned. "So... predictable..." With that, he once more began conjuring up a shadow orb.

As the cables spark and jump around, Scythia rolls away, but not fast enough. One of the cable touches her foot, and shocks her. It knocks her down and stuns her for a few seconds. Shaking the daze from her head, She once more stands up, venting the heat from her plasma pistol. Looking around, she scans the facility, at least what she can see of it, and begins moving, trying to find Sloth. The servo skull also flies around near the ceiling, hiding in the shadowy nooks and crannies, and finds sloth. It then relays this information to Scythia. She nods and turns in the direction. Moving purposeful and with little wasted movement, she stands in a corridor and faces Sloth. "Predictable? Be you less so?" She raises her pistol, and it looks like she will shoot Sloth again. But she does not. She opens fire and plasma bolts streak toward Sloth, but not at him. She blasts the machinery around him, seeking to engulf him in explosions and electrical pulses.

Sloth did not even make an attempt to dodge the searing projectiles, though they weren't aimed at him, the machinery around him exploded violently, sending chainreacts towards the next, causing an entire segment of computers and machines to blow up, engulfing Sloth in the explosions.
When the smoke cleared, Sloth was gone and his shadow orb remained idly hovering in place.

Further down the lab, Sloth reappeared, sighing as parts of his form were lit on fire. "How tiresome..." He spoke as he simply patted the flames out of existance, before picking up where he left, trying to summon his orb of shadow once more.

Scythia scans her surroundings, and continues moving through the lab, searching for Sloth. She once more vents the heat from her plasma pistol to prevent it from overheating. Upon reaching what she believes to be a safe distance, she fires her pistol at the shadow orb, hoping it's destroyed. Her Servo Skull continues flying near the ceiling, searching for Sloth as She is, keeping her guard up at all times, and murmuring prayers to the Emperor.

The shadow orb dispersed into smoke as the plasma bolt fused into it.
Sloth continued to remain in his position, letting his shadow orb grow larger slowly, his hands weaving around it like a potter. Hiding himself behind one of the larger computers that was surging with overloaded energy, hoping that the electrical interference caused by the computer would be enough to hide himself. The occassional spark and flash that occured from the high-powered interfeces now hardly disturbed Sloth as he continued to work on his shadow orb.

Scythia continues her trek through the lab, looking for him as the Servo skull does the same. From a shaded alcove, the Servo skull locates Sloth, hiding behind an overloading computer. Scythia receives this message and grins. "Foolish coward as are most demons." Getting herself into position, she takes aim at said computer with her plasma pistol. "Burn in holy plasma!" She then fires a barrage of shots at the computer, the superheated plasma would overload the computer even more, and would cause it to explode.
