General Information:

Name: Gabrielle

Age: She's forgotten her age, but appears in her mid to early twenties.

Gender: Female

Race: Harpy

Hair: Pitch black and cut into a short, ragged bob around her shoulders. It's usually left to flow free.

Eyes: They're a pale silver in colour, so light that they're almost white. She has no visible pupils.

Distinctive Features:

Wings - The most obvious feature distinctive feature on Gabrielle's body is the pair wings on her back. Their feathers are light grey and when they extended span about 7 feet.

Claws – Her fingertips end in one inch long, thick, wickedly sharp claws that she can use to great effect to claw and grab at things.

Clothes / Armour: To save weight, she wears no armour. Her clothing consists of a skimpy black dress which reveals her back, stomach, arms, legs, thighs and much of her cleavage. She also wears stiletto high heels fastened by high straps that reach to just below her knees.


Fighting Style: She prefers to use her speed and aerial advantage in battle. This means that she can usually be found high up in the air with her bow in hand, firing down at her opponent. If space is an issue, however, or she's run out of arrows, she'll draw her sword and perform daring sweeps and dives towards her enemy and attempt to slice them.

If for whatever reason she's unable to fly (fatigue or injury) she'll mostly hold her own with her sword against an opponent that's similarly armed.


Weapons:

Bow and arrow – A simple composite bow as well as a quiver of 15 bodkin tipped arrows – chosen because they have a larger range than other kinds – and 15 broad-heads to cause massive bleeding in her targets. (The arrows were made using feathers from her own wings.)

Sword – A simple, lightweight sword the length of one of her arms. It's double edged with a precious stone inlaid into the hilt.

Dagger – Worn on her right calf attached to her shoe, this throwing dagger is razor sharp and coated with an extremely potent numbing poison that, if entered into someone's bloodstream, will cause the immediate area around the wound to go dead within seconds. It's unlikely to cause death, but the distraction could offer Gabrielle enough of a chance to move in and strike a killing blow.

Abilities:


Flight – With a few easy flaps of her wings Gabrielle is able to take flight. She cannot carry much with her, but once airborne she can fly across great distances at incredible speeds. When engaged in combat and performing aerial acrobatics, the time she can spend in the air without a rest (one post) is limited (to four posts).

Scream – Gabrielle has an earsplitting scream (or screech) that she can use to disorient her opponent and (if she's close enough to them) can even cause them hearing loss. Its also been known to shatter glass.

Expert Marksman – Her aim is exceptional and by far her best ability. She has keen eyesight – like that of a hawk – and a steady hand.



Attributes:

Hollow Bones – To save weight and make sustained flight easier, her bones are hollow and therefore easier to break.

Physically Weak – Although not defenceless, Gabrielle lacks brute strength and so avoids close hand-to-hand combat.



Biography: Gabrielle was a normal young French woman once, living in Paris in the 1800's. She had dreams of becoming a wife and mother and was deeply in love with one of her father's employees, a patisserie named Rousee. He was in the process of courting her when Gabrielle discovered to her horror that another woman also had designs on her beloved beau.

The other woman was a vindictive witch from Greece and extremely jealous. She warned Gabrielle to stay away from Rousse, but the brunette didn't listen. She was resolved to fight for his love and said so.

And so the witch cursed her to a life of lovelessness.

Gabrielle was struck by a spell that left her temporarily unconscious. When she awoke she was in a strange, unknown house on the outskirts of Paris. The walls of the room she was in was covered in blood and the furniture was ripped to shreds. Wings had grown out of her back and her nails had become claws. The mutilated bodies of a young family (wife, husband and two teenage children) was scattered throughout the room. Disoriented but in possession of a strange glee upon seeing the carnage, Gabrielle barely remembered her previous life.

She no longer cared for her family or Rousse. All she wanted was more blood, more excitement and more fun.


Personality: Gabrielle doesn't really understand other people's feelings and emotions and is only “evil” because its easier than being good. So at the core she's an emotionally lazy woman with no empathy at all and a harsh sarcastic streak. Her species is a notoriously violent one and she's no different. She enjoys battle and revels in defeating her opponents and leaving them either shamed or dead – she doesn't have a preference.


Background: Since the day she was cursed Gabrielle has travelled the world by wing in search of more people like her. For a time she amused herself with hunting regular humans, but that soon grew old when the ceased to be a challenge for her.

Time stretched on and she never grew old.

Over the many years her boredom grew, as did her dissatisfaction with her own condition. She lost most of the pleasure she used to derive from killing and now only really cares about finding someone that can challenge her (someone to respect) and end the monotomy that her days have become.

Build: She's 5'2" tall and has a narrow, very slight build.

Hair: A soft brown in colour that hangs to the middle of her back. It's silky and straight.

Eyes: Large, sapphire blue eyes ringed by dark lashes and green eyeshadow.

Distinctive Features

~ Her neat, square nails are painted blood red.

~ On her mouth is lipstick the same shade of red as her nails.

~ Quite often a bat can be found hiding in her hair.

~ Her skin is pale white due to never seeing the sun.

~ The only scars on her body are two tiny puncture marks on her neck, placed there when she was turned into a vampire.

Clothes / Armour

~ She wears no armour as there's no need. For her day to day life she usually wears a long green velvet cloak with a hood. Underneath is a soft, flowing white dress with lacy shoulder straps and corset. It reaches to her bare feet and sweeps along the ground as she walks, making it resemble a night-dress.

Fighting Style

~ She likes to get right in there and doesn't mind her hands - or feet or teeth or clothes - getting dirty, and as such prefers close hand to hand combat. She sees no need for weapons as her teeth are sharper than any knife, and her skin better than any shield. Her speed plays a large part in her attacks, as she'll normally prefer to jump out of the shadows in an effort to surprise her opponent.

Abilities

~ Hard Skin~ Her skin is naturally hard and difficult to pierce with anything but a wooden stake or blessed, pure silver. As such, she's very resilient to blows and attacks from normal weapons.

~ Undead Strength ~ Her powerful vampire blood - given to her by a master vampire - has granted her the brute physical strength and vigour of 20 men.

~ Undead Speed ~ She's fast enough to outrun a speeding arrow.

~ Winged Friends ~ She can summon an army of vampire bats and control them with her mind. They can shield her from attacks, distract her enemies or even harm them with their sheer numbers.

~ Pointy Pearly Whites ~ Her fangs are razor sharp and can bite through skin, flesh and leather armour like a hot knife through butter.

~ A Keen Nose ~ Her ability to smell blood is second only to that of a shark. She can track an opponent with ease if they have even a tiny, bleeding cut.

~ Sated Hunger ~ Even a sip of blood is enough to give her a new boost of strength and energy. If that blood happens to be supernatural or magical, even better. She can potentially double her strength after having fed on a magical being.


Attributes

~A severe allergy to sunlight. Quick exposure to direct sunlight will burn her skin severely, and prolonged exposure - give or take 3 minutes - will turn her to dust.
~A slightly less severe allergy to garlic. Just the smell of it will make her break out in hives and start sneezing uncontrollably.



Biography

Holly was the middle girl in a British family of eight daughters, born to rich, aristocratic parents. Her childhood was a happy whirlwind of posh picnics, lessons in etiquette, mischievous girly pranks and boy talk. That changed when she was seventeen.

Personality

Holly is a very girly girl. She loves pink and sparkles and love. A hopeless romantic at heart, she's usually found devouring romance novels when not busy sucking people dry. Although she doesn't have a mean bone in her body and tries to always be friendly, she doesn't see much wrong with fulfilling her need for blood. It's just one of those things, and when she's hungry, she's hungry. She's also always on the look-out for Mr Right.

Background

A mysterious but alluring young man named Maladict met her in a park one day and swept her off her feet - literally. They had a whirlwind romance which was, of course, against her parents' wishes. Holly was head over heels in love, but unfortunately, he wasn't.

He soon revealed his true intentions - he was a vampire and wanted to change her into one too so she could serve as his adoring slave for all eternity. Holly, being only too happy to spend her entire afterlife with him, agreed willingly.

After the change she spent thirty happy years as Maladict's companion. She learned the ways of the world and how to be a vampire. Maladict himself was an ancient vampire with a great deal of power, a lot of which he transferred to her.

Unfortunately their union wasn't meant to last. She eventually found out that he'd been unfaithful and left him. She mourned the loss of their relationship for 80 long years until she started seeing a therapist and got a new lease on afterlife. Since then she's been on the lookout for a new special someone to share her love with, while also, of course, looking around for some tasty dinners to keep her young.

Build: Average height (5'4") and average build, her soft, unobtrusive curves hide some powerful muscles.

Hair: Shoulder length, light brown hair with natural streaks of blonde.

Eyes: Pale greyish blue.


Distinctive Features

~ In her normal form, she appears to be a perfectly ordinary 20-something young woman. No special markings of any kind.

~ When transformed she becomes a six foot tall hairy, clawed monster with one inch long canines and glowing red eyes.

Clothes / Armour

She wears no armour, preferring to stick with jeans and combat boots. She's never seen without her trademark Carlton hoodie. (http://www.artandesignews.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/carlton-banks-hoodie.jpg) A beat-up old knapsack is also always worn on one shoulder.

Fighting Style

Delilah, being a very direct person, employs that same directness in her fighting style. She loves using her baseball bat to overpower her opponents. If unable to use her bat she'll turn to using her fists and silver knuckles. Her knives are kept as last resorts, as she hates the smell of blood.


Weapons

~ Blessed "silver" knuckles.

~ Twelve tiny blessed silver knives and blades which are hidden all over her body, cause that's edgy, bitch.

~ A wooden baseball bat with a solid silver core - also blessed, of course. Packs quite a punch.

~ A small, airtight metal box the size of her palm - carried in her jeans pocket - full of garlic cloves.

~ A utility belt which she's converted to carry wooden and blessed silver stakes. Fully stocked, it holds three of each kind.

Abilities

Normal abilities:

~ Werewolves are strong creatures and Delilah's no exception. Her physical strength is that of 10 men.

~ Her speed and reflexes, though nowhere near that of a vampire's, is enough to let her get the better of a normal human - no more.

~ Her heightened hearing and sense of smell are great tools that help her track her targets down.

~ Werewolves are incredibly fast healers and as such there are only two things that can kill her; decapitation and blessed silver through the hart. Anything else can wound and slow her down, but not kill.

~ At any time of the month she has an amazing ability to wolf down a t-bone steak - rare to medium rare - in less than 7 seconds, bone included.

Transformed abilities:

~ Being touched by direct light from the full moon allows her to transform into her wolf form. Once clouds obscure the moon or she goes indoors, she returns to normal.

~ Her agility in this form is exceptional. Powerful wolf legs let her jump and leap and run around much faster and higher than she normally could.

~ Her already heightened senses are even more powerful.

~ Her strength is also enhanced. Using it she's able to snap bones cleanly between her teeth and crush skulls in her powerful hands.

~ A werewolf's bite, no matter were, is usually enough to infect one with lycanthropy. It's more of a disease than vampirism, though. Usually someone has to eat belladonna or rub it on the bit to 'cure' themselves.

Attributes

~ Due to the nature of her day-job she's had to learn how to tolerate the touch of silver to her skin, but being pierced by it is still agony to her.

~ Exposure to the herb Belladonna is enough to instantly weaken her.

~ If attacked with fire in her wolf form, Delilah will struggle to keep a grip on her already tenuous sanity.



Biography

Her parents - both werewolves - always hoped for their only daughter to have a nice quiet peaceful life filled with grandchildren for them, but she dreamed of being a hero - a shining beacon of light in the Guild, a proud and noble vampire slayer. Growing up, she was a tomboy more comfortable outside playing football with the boys than inside doing her makeup. She didn't do very well in school and only just managed to get in the Monster Hunter Academy's special vampire program.

Personality

Extremely shy about her appearance and rather oblivious when it comes to all matters involving love, Delilah's a very direct person and sometimes perhaps too blunt. Her temper is easy to ignite and flares up high, but burns out quickly. She has a soft spot for Fresh Prince of Bel Air and will instantly take a liking to anyone who shares her passion for it.

Background

Upon graduating from the Monster Hunter Academy Delilah eventually worked her way up the vamp hunter ranks to secure herself a B Class license. Despite this prestigious title, she's struggling, financially. Living on your own is expensive! She's desperate to get a good bounty and collect the cash and is willing to go after any target now.

Hair: It's a dark purple in colour and falls down well past her waist. While on duty she wears it tied up with a fine white string.
Eyes: Pale gray.
Distinctive Features: None.
Clothes / Armour: See picture. Although it's very light and easy to move in, her clothing offers no special protection nor does it give her any advantage over her opponent.


Fighting Style:
Weapons:Yui's sole weapon is a zanpakuto - a sword imbued with a spirit. It has a special release called a Shikai, the first of two releases available to a Shinigami. (Although Yui is still to achieve the second release, Bankai.)

Zanpakuto Name: Shikkokuhouyou

Zanpakuto Appearance, Unreleased: It appears to be more closely related to a wakizashi than a katana. The blade is no longer than Yui's forearm, and the jet black hilt doesn't add much length. It has no guard and she wears it on her left hip in a small black sheath.

Zanpakuto Shikai Release Command: Bind, Shikkokuhouyou.

Zanpakuto Shikai Appearance: When the release command is given, the blade instantly elongates and changes from steel to flesh. It wraps up around Yui's neck and down the length of her body underneath her clothes, significantly enhancing her strength, speed and durability. Her palms become covered in tiny, razor sharp teeth, like those of an eel.

Zanpakuto Shikai Special Abilities: Shikkokuhouyou, once bonded with it's master, gives her the qualities of an eel. One such quality is the appearance of teeth on her hands, which are excellent at gripping an opponent. With the absorption of the weapon into herself, she also gains an eel's incredible powers of evasion: the slippery, difficult to grasp skin, and a standard speed that, combined with Yui's own speed, is on par with most captains' shunpo. Once transformed, she is left with only kido and her own body with which to defeat her opponent. With hollows, brute physical strength is needed to shatter the mask and cleave the head. In other enemies, the careful and strategic breakage of bones and organs with the use of constriction is a preferred method. She also gains poisonous blood which, once spilt, begins to eat into anything it encounters, much like acid. And if any of it somehow enters an open wound of the enemy, they would begin to be digested from the inside out. (Although the effectiveness of the “acid blood” depends entirely on the strength of the enemy.)

Zanpakuto Spirit Personality: Usually stoic and reserved, it has no discernible sex. It is an incredibly impatient creature, and relishes a fight when it thinks it or its master has been insulted, but preaches calmness and a clear head in battle. It sometimes comes across as ruthless, but in truth, it is merely unencumbered by the empathy of its wielder.
Abilities:
Kido: See wiki (http://bleach.wikia.com/wiki/Kid%C5%8D) for reference. As she's not very good at most Kido, Yui is limited to a few spells she'll dare to perform in battle. They are as follows:
Shō: As the practitioner points at his/her target with his/her index finger, a small amount of energy is dispelled from the tip of the index fighter with enough force to thrust a considerable amount of kinetic force at a target, which is pushed back a few feet from the practitioner.
Incantation Required: No.
Usage: Immediate.
Cooldown Time: 1 post.
Damage: Very little to none.

Sekienton: As the practitioner places the palms of their hands down on the ground, red smoke bursts forth from the point of contact, swiftly engulfing the surrounding area and briefly obscuring the movements of whomever is within the smoke, allowing for a quick getaway.
Incantation Required: No.
Usage: Immediate.
Cooldown Time: 3 posts.
Damage: None.

Sōkatsui: Blue flames discharge from the palm. The practitioner aims the palm of their hand at their target and generates a torrent of blue energy before firing it at their target. The energy moves like a direct blast or a large wave of energy, depending on the amount of power which is placed into it. Depending on the user's proficiency with the technique, it can damage an opponent's Bankai. Because of Yui's usage of the incantation as well as years of practice, the power behind it is considerable.
Incantation Required: Yes.
Usage: 1 post charge.
Cooldown Time: 5 posts.
Damage: Heavy if hit directly.
Hohō Master: Hohō is the name given to one of the four combat skills of the Shinigami and relates to footwork. Hohō is an important skill for most Shinigami, and is one of their four basic fighting styles. The agility and speed of Hohō can be enhanced and improved through concentration, training, and mastery of it. The foremost practitioners of this technique are those assigned to the Onmitsukidō, such as Yui (formerly). Shunpo is the greatest expression of the Hohō technique. However, there are variations even within Shunpo which only master Hohō practitioners can use.

Shunpo: It is a movement technique which allows the user to move faster than the eye can follow. The focal point which determines the basis of this technique is speed. As speed is the main point of the technique, the method is best characterized by how fast one can get from point A to point B in the least amount of steps. Training and skill are what determines how fast a user of Shunpo can move; those of little skill in the technique or those who have not used it for an extended amount of time would obviously be out of practice, causing those individuals to be considerably slower, which requires the use of more steps to move the same distance and become winded in a shorter amount of time.

Utsusemi: It is an advanced Shunpo technique which falls under the category of Way of Onmitsu, 3rd of the Shihō. The practitioner moves at great speed to avoid an attack, leaving an afterimage which can appear to have taken damage.

Cooldown Time: 4 posts.
Attributes:
As is the case with all Shinigami, Yui possesses certain qualities which set her apart from normal humans. Among them are the following (taken directly from the Bleach wiki);

Longevity: Shinigami do not visibly age at the same rate as Humans and tend to maintain a youthful appearance for centuries. Shinigami can live for much longer than Humans, with some Shinigami, such as Retsu Unohana, being over 1,000 years old and Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto being at least 2,100 years old.

Enhanced Durability: While Shinigami can be injured and killed like regular Humans, it takes considerably greater injuries to kill a Shinigami than it would to kill Humans. Decapitation is the only guaranteed method of killing a Shinigami.

Reiryoku: Shinigami naturally possess high levels of Spiritual Power, which varies greatly in magnitude with the strength of a Shinigami. The more power a Shinigami has, the sharper their movements will be. A consequence of having Spiritual Power is that unlike powerless spirits, Shinigami need to eat.

Zanpakutō: A Shinigami weapon, its shape is typically similar to a Japanese katana. Low ranking officers are issued an Asauchi sword, but high-ranking officers arm themselves with unique swords generated from their own souls. A Zanpakutō is a physical manifestation of this force concentrated into a blade. All Shinigami have a Zanpakutō, but not all of them carry one with them. Its shape differs depending on its owner.
Biography:Yui was born as the third child of a minor noble family. As was the Hisakawa tradition, she enrolled at the Shinigami Academy at a young age and displayed great skill. Upon graduation, she was at first given an unranked position within Squad 2. But through many years of determination and exemplary service, she worked her way up to becoming the Fifth Seat - a rank which in fact made her the head of the Fifth Branch of the Onmitsukido, the The Inner Court Troop. They worked mainly in the collection and transfer of highly classified information, such as those regarding important missions.

But Yui didn't retain her much sought-after position for long. She eventually resigned due to vast differences in her Captain's way of doing things and her own. Relieved to break away from tradition and step away from the strict confines of her job, she had no plans for her next venture until she was approached by Captain Ukitake of Squad 13. Offered a position in his squad, she found herself unable and unwilling to reject it.

And so she became the Co-Third Seat of Squad 13 (a squad which is still without a Lieutenant). Her duties are those of a Lieutenant, which she happily splits with her co-third seat, a man she gets along with well. Having left the Onmitsukido almost a year ago, she's very content in her current position in Squad 13. It's a friendly place, somewhere she feels she'll be able to outgrow some of the stuffiness she picked up over the course of her career in Squad 2.

Personality: Yui takes pride in her concentration on the battlefield, as well as the strict discipline instilled in her - both at home and at work. Although she at time feels it, she shows no fear in battle. That would be a weakness too easily exploited by her enemies. Off the battlefield she's more relaxed and even jovial at times, but for the most part she retains a somewhat reserved attitude. If angered she grows cold and her tone sharpens. Her tongue can cut almost as well as her blade, in that respect.

Background: Yui is the former fifth seat of Squad 2, and as such, Corps Commander of the fifth branch of the Onmitsukido, The Inner Court Troop – hence her master level skill with Hohō. She chose to leave the Onmitsukido after a short time, partly because of the ruthless, soulless way she felt it was being run and her own unwillingness to be a mindless conveyer of messages which often had grave consequences on the lives of others.
