Throughout his life, Sosuke has been noted for his calm, carefree, easygoing and somewhat unmotivated nature. He prefers to laze around and is content with "just getting by", rarely striving to do as best as he could - which frequently earned him lectures from his teachers during his time as an academy student. Despite his years of being a Kage and being a veteran of several missions, he continues to retain this personality. On the outside, Sosuke can appear as aloof, uncaring and distant. In reality, he is quite the opposite, being friendly and caring, caring greatly about his friends or allies and will adopt seriousness when a situation warrants it.
Sosuke believes that everyone is equal, and so treats everyone with an equal level of respect. This further stems to his superiors and enemies. He rarely addresses superiors with honorifics, treating them as he would anyone else, which has earned him trouble during his career as a shinobi. Towards his enemies he bears no animosity, hatred or ill-will, seeing them as fellows in the same position he is; just people doing their jobs.
In battle, Sosuke maintains his calm demeanor and takes battles in stride. Contrary to his relaxed nature, many of his techniques are swift and flowing, often surprising his enemies. Master Tactician and Strategist: Sosuke has displayed great prowess in the field of tactics and strategy, shown in his ability to rapidly adapt on the fly from intel gathered during combat. While he is highly skilled in this field, Sosuke has at times displayed a willingness, even a preference, to go without strategy in favor of forming tactics in the midst of battle.
Stamina/Endurance: Sosuke possesses large reserves of stamina enabling him to fight hours on end before fatigue whilst also possessing an equally large reserve of endurance to fight through pain at an alarming rate.
Chakra Control - Sosuke's chakra reserves are noted to be above average even for a Kage’s standards. However, to compensate for his lack of raw chakra strength and potency, Sosuke is in possession of refined chakra control. Description: By working hard for 4 years and using his Magnetic mastery he was able to develop this unique technique. He used this unique magnetic kekkai genkai to magnetically attract iron particles or iron minerals from within the earth and around him to create a sort of black sand as he calls it. He is able to utilize this black sand to create various types of weapons, defenses and constructs and is able to control the black sand with great efficiency, when controlling the black sand he uses a variety of hand movements using one or both of his hands to control it. The black sand is a type of sand with concentrations of metal and iron in it usually formed from within the earth and the surrounding. It is typically dark grey or blackish in color.
Sosuke usually keeps his own chakra-enhanced black sand with him at most times, in a large calabash gourd which he will summon using a summoning scroll. Because this black sand is already infused with his chakra, Sosuke has a great deal of control over it, enabling stronger and faster attacks with it.
Weakness: If Sosuke can’t move his hands then he can’t control the sand and produce ANY of his sand based jutsu.

Description: Sosuke is able to use his black sand to create a dark colored katana; the blade is quite sharp and durable, since it is made by gathering iron particles from the surrounding area into his hand. The reason for the blade's sharpness is due to the vibrating iron particles that forms the black sand sword thus giving it a chainsaw like effect. He is even able to manipulate and extend the blade by turning it into a whip like weapon thus increasing its range.
Weakness:Sosuke is not a kenjutsu expert so, the jutsu is lacking his hands. Used as a last resort if he can’t keep an opponent from reaching him.

Its appearance and function is reminiscent of a common magician's trick, as well as certain torture devices used during the Spanish Inquisition.
When using the chakra enhanced black sand Sosuke is able to make the black box coffin explode with a simple hand gesture, thus causing a large amount of damage to the opponent trapped inside the black coffin.
He also seems to use a variation of the technique with the same name, in which he en-cases an opponent with large amount of black sand rather then trapping them in a box coffin. Sosuke uses this variation to immobilize the opponent and can also use it to suffocate an opponent.
Weakness: Sosuke can only preform this jutsu twice in one day while the non-lethal form can be preformed three times. The chakra consumption is large.

Sosuke will manipulate and reshape the chakra enhanced black sand into the form of a long spear or javelin like weapon. He will then throw the weapon which travels at incredible speed and will explode upon impact causing a large explosion, the reason for this is because Sosuke uses his own chakra which is infused with the black sand and as such is able to make the spear explode. He mainly uses it as a projectile weapon but sometimes he can also wield it as a physical weapon. While he can only create five of these spears in rapid succession, he also sometimes has difficulty controlling their trajectory.
Weakness: Can only create 5 spears (number depending on his chakra levels), and the trajectory is poor when he aims.

The large wave of black sand will rise up to about several feet above the opponent. Sosuke is able to control the flowing black sand wave, allowing him to attack his opponent while they attempt to outrun the wave. The technique is powerful enough to devastate an entire landscape, as Sosuke is able to destroy an acre of forest land turning it into nothing but a desert. This technique requires a large amount of chakra to perform but can also be used to take out a large number of opponents due to the fact that it is almost virtually unavoidable.
Weakness: Takes an incredible amount of chakra to the point of exhausting immediately after usage. If someone survives the onslaught then they have free reign to strike a killing blow.

Sosuke will manipulate and reshape the chakra enhanced black sand into the form of a long spear or javelin like weapon. He will then throw the weapon which travels at incredible speed and will explode upon impact causing a large explosion, the reason for this is because Sosuke uses his own chakra which is infused with the black sand and as such is able to make the spear explode. He mainly uses it as a projectile weapon but sometimes he can also wield it as a physical weapon. While he can only create five of these spears in rapid succession, he also sometimes has difficulty controlling their trajectory.
Weakness: Can only create 5 spears (number depending on his chakra levels), and the trajectory is poor when he aims.

Description: By drawing out a large amount of black sand from the surrounding area Sosuke is able to create a massive amount of black sand that travels towards an opponent at fast speeds in the form of a wave, covering and "drowning" them in an ocean of sand. The large wave of black sand will rise up to about several feet above the opponent. Sosuke is able to control the flowing black sand wave, allowing him to attack his opponent while they attempt to outrun the wave. The technique is powerful enough to devastate an entire landscape, as Sosuke is able to destroy an acre of forest land turning it into nothing but a desert. This technique requires a large amount of chakra to perform but can also be used to take out a large number of opponents due to the fact that it is almost virtually unavoidable.
Weakness: Takes an incredible amount of chakra to the point of exhausting immediately after usage. If someone survives the onslaught then they have free reign to strike a killing blow.
