Storyline

Walking back home, you notice a little cafe out of the corner of your eye. Has this always been here? you think while walking up the quaintly stoned walkway. Coming closer, you notice that the name of the cafe reads "Kitty Cafe". Weird name... You shrug and turn around.
"Leaving so soon?" A man infront of you asks, placing his hand on your shoulder and turning you around towards the cafe. "At least stay for some coffee and cake."
Suddenly the door opens, revealing the cozy inside, with people chatting away and waitresses with roller-blades on and...ears? The man pushes you in and one of the waitresses assists you to a seat, "What would you like this evening, sir?" You stare up at her and notice one of her ears twitch. Startled, you jump back a bit, "Y-your e-ears..."
"Are real? Yes, I know. I also have a tail." She winks at you and scribbles something on her ordering pad, "So, just a coffee?"
"Uh...n-no. I should be getting home now. Thanks." You get up to leave but she grabs your wrist and pushes you back to your seat, "You can't leave the cafe. Once you're in, there's no exit." She smiles a little seepishly and walks off. Well, THAT was weird...


Break It Down

So, basically you're trapped in the Kitty Cafe. You can band together and ATTEMPT to leave or you can enjoy the cafe like so many are doing right now. ALL the waiters/waitresses are nekos/elves/vampires - basically non-human - and all the costumers are human. The boss is the ruler of the cafe but you never see him. Somehow, everyone is blissfully happy. Those who aren't, seem to... disappear. Have fun at the cafe, darlings.

Bio: Let's just say that I'm..... dead. D-E-A-D, I might act as if I'm alive, but I'm not. How I died? I owed some people money, and well, I didn't meet the deadline in time. So next thing I knew, I was chained to a block of concrete and at the bottom of the Ocean, watching the last of the bubbles escape from my lips.

Then I remember talking to an old man, then waking up near the Ocean shore. I don't know why I really have these powers, but a couple decades of practice and "Live" targets helped quite a bit. Well, how I got into the Café; I walked in ordered a cup of Joe and something to eat. I almost killed myself when I took a bite of the food, and the coffee was like mud. So I shoved the former cook aside and haven't really left the Kitchen since.

Haha okay. I'll just outline most of the stuff that happened - to make it shorter. But it's still gonna be terribly long, I'm afraid.

So.. it started on the day of the World Cup finals. We were having our party, there were lots of people, and the game started. All of our guests were on the Netherlands team. Mostly because I threatened to murder them if they were gonna be cheering for the opposing team - Spain. My mood was already a bit ehh because of Paul - he predicted that Spain was gonna win. So I was kinda jittery. And then Spain won. Basically, everything went down from there. The day turned to hell and our party was horrible. Not horrible-boring, but horrible as in everyone was angry and tense. It ended early, the party only lasted 'till a little after midnight. The next day was mostly a hangover, and as if it wasn't already bad enough, my parents got a call saying how gramma became really really sick and couldn't even stand. I couldn't go see her because she lives reaaally far away and I guess it was for the better, with my appearance and mood, I don't think I would've been able to do anything. So I just buried myself in my room and lay in bed - feeling pathetic. Then I magically got sick. Now why would that be...? /sarcasm
Nothing really changed, I guess. I still stayed in bed and went on being depressed - which is the RAREST thing EVER to see me - ALICE - in a state of depression. I'm usually like the most happiest being on Earth. Then.. after a few days in bed I decided to stop being pathetic. I went downstairs.
And that's pretty much where I am now. Gramma is still ill. The Netherlands still lost. I'm still sick and depressed, but at least I'm out of my room? :)

Well, during the Spell, I busted in and pushed my brother out of the Demon circle, only to have been cursed to become a Dullahan. I was bound to this armor, made by Dwarfs for it's protection and power and engineered by Gnomes for it's combat and mobility, but one flaw was within the Amulet I wear. The King's assistant would have ironically lost his head if they learned about what happened, so they chained me up within the castle dungeon. They sent my brother out in terrible armor, just a replica of mine. He died the moment the battle began. I heard the guards talk about it as they fetched some water. I became so enraged, I melted the chains and..... well, both the Kingdom's were no more.

So I wandered the Earth, lonely as every Human thought I was going to kill them and rip out their spines for a whip or make a make a carriage out of their corpses, I don't do that, but they still run me out because of this stereotype. Well, while I was being ran out, I ran into the Cafe and begged the people to hide me from the Humans, they had these noise makers that shot fast metal shards at me! So, now I work at the Cafe, I do hope that one day Human's would understand me, and I could blend in. But, the big question is, how do you get out of a Cafe?

Well, it's about a group of people, each of which has been gifted - perhaps by Chinese Gods or the Twelve Zodiac - with an egg - that mammals don't come in, generally - that has mice that are the incarnation of some kind of Element - which could be Taoist for a more Asian feel, allowing you to have Air because of some paths and Chinese alchemical formulae. Sounds Fantastical to me.

There are five generally agreed upon Taoist Elements, and they have a path. Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, Wood, Fire. A few Asian Alchemical systems have Air, Water, Earth, Wood, Fire as their path instead. And besides, the spin you're putting this on seems Chinese, or at least, that's how it sounds like you're describing it.

Sorry. I just have a lot of general knowledge. I think my Paths are right, but I could be wrong. Does this help any? If you'd like, I can try to find a list of the Gods and Goddesses dominant in Chinese myth.

PS: the first day was 78 degrees, second was 98 with wind and rain, and the last was 82 and it felt like 105.....
