I'll happily accept anyone interested all you need to do is link a fighter to this thread and stick to the rules. the rules are:
1) if there are three or more of us, the job of moderating what's fair and such with be everyone's to keep it fair. if you see something you don't think is right in any post, make it known in the ooc, we'll discus if it needs fixing or anything and how to fix it, then all make a ruling, majority wins but everyone get's to say what they wanna say.

2) in the case that any character dies and there's more than one fighter left fighting, the one who is out is aloud to submit a new fighter (as long as it's in the barracks) and jump back into the battle after a few rounds and it's cleared by me.

3) the tournament itself with continue for as long as there are two fighters alive. once it has been 48 hours from the time of the final kill, if no new rper's have stepped up the last man standing will be called the winner and i'll mike up some prize later. if this becomes really big and i have a heap of time i might even be able to organize an actual rl prize.......no promises though

4) any issues? ooc thread. not here. or i'll just take it as your character starting to argue rather than you. (it's a passive way of enforcing this one)

5) no god modding and all that. it's not that i'm against it, it's just to keep things fair. if you want to god mod and wave around super fighters that you say are unstoppable? pm me. i have a few that could use the practice. (and yes that is an open challenge. i'll even take you on publicly if your that sure your fighter wont fall.)

this will have a posting order, just to keep it from going completely out of control. if you don't post within 3 days without giving a reason you'll be skipped, if you do get skipped you might get minorly wounded, but nothing major unless you were supposed to be dodging something extremely dangerous....can't help much there.....so far the order is;

anyone new will be added to the end and when a character dies or someone leaves the rper's name will have a hash put before and after it but not removed, these will be removed on the round they can post again if the player has another character accepted or comes back. (to keep the general order the same so people don't have to adjust to majorly) i'll post the updated posting order at the end of each of my posts anyway to help out a bit.

the fighting will take place here 4382, it's hot, humid crawling with insects and natural hazards other that just other competitors. the thick branches of the 50 foot trees block out most of the sky, letting in only enough light for average people to see with beams of light shining through. the water varies from a few inches to over 20 feet deep, in places it's instant, the water has only two feet of visibility and is all greenish-brown and it's shallower areas often have mangroves around the edges. what there is of land is either solid dirt covered in dieing leaves or it's thick mud. the map has a 30 meter wide slow moving river going through the center of it with fallen trees acting as bridges, the rest is land (1000 meters squared on either side of the river with an old abandoned chain link fence marking the boundries)

Psychic Hood: A special type of helmet given to psykers like her to protect her mind against the intrusions of daemons and other psykers, giving her immunity to mental control, hypnosis, confusion, telepathy, and mental-based illusions

Cybernetic eye: After losing her eye, it was replaced with a mechanical one. Being not an eye of flesh, it is not subject to the normal weaknesses of a normal eye. As such, it increases her accuracy, and can see through illusions.

Fighting Style: She combines swordplay with shooting, and the addition of her Psyker powers

Weapons:

Daemonbane: Daemonbane is a Nemesis Force sword. A Nemesis force weapon is a type of force weapon designed to destroy daemons of all types. To all demonic characters, it is an anathema to their very being.

Plasma pistol: The Plasma Pistol is a short-ranged, single-handed pistol version of the Imperial Plasma Gun that makes use of a micro-fusion nuclear reaction to superheat a cartridge of gas into the state of matter known as plasma and then release it in a concentrated blast of weapons fire using an electromagnetic bubble.

When not in Melee Combat, she uses a Bolter with psybolt ammo, a special form of ammunition that is designed to specially damage daemons. It works by dissolving the magical bonds that hold their forms together.

Servo Skull: A small mechanical ally that floats near her and has a telepathic link to her through a cybernetic implant. She can see through it's sensors, and can coordinate her attacks with it by making it scout an area. It has somewhat strong armor, and is very hard to destroy because of it's small size, and how nimble it is. As a last resort, it can self-destruct with the force of a powerful bomb.

Abilities:

Word of the Emperor - Chanting canticles and liturgies, the psyker causes crippling fear in their foe, daemon or otherwise.

Molten Beam - Shoots out a beam of super-heated energy that can pierce even the toughest armor, and reduce heavy tanks to piles of molten slag.

Holocaust- Igniting the air around themselves in flame, the user incinerates anything that comes too close.

Destroy Daemon- Chanting litanies of purity in time with his blows, the psyker causes damage to the daemon's warp-spawned substance. (the daemon does not need to be from the warp, it affects all daemons)

She may cast one spell per turn, and the next turn, she may not cast one.

Attributes:

Scythia knows daemons and their tricks, and, as such, when combating a daemon, demon, or other being of darkness, she can fight harder and better, and their powers are less effective against her.

Biography: Scythia was born on Terra, and inducted into the forces of the Ecclesiarchy at a young age for this is when her psyker powers emerged. She was, at first, considered dangerous, as she was an Alpha-grade, and thought to be insane. However, a council of Inquisitors decided that she might be useful, and she was put under the care of the Ordo Malleus, far away from contact with non-Inquisitorial people. She was raised in a small compound on a desolate moon, and the hunting of Daemons and monsters is all she knows.


Personality: Stern and austere, Scythia sees her duties as holy work, and she goes all out, never showing any mercy.

I can link it after work or you can, whoever gets around to it first. Due to only being on during breaks I have only glances at some of the characters, so if you guys feel I need some adjustments to her power to match them then feel free to say so. She can get a whole lot more powerful them what's in her sheet, or she can become weaker but only if I make her younger. Her solid flame technique will be able to block some bullets for a bit before breaking, but if you guys have really powerful ammo then a single shot can go through or at least do major damage.

so far i've only seen one gun in the line up (on wanderer's character) but it's actually rather inaccurate. and with everyone else so 'up close and personal' based i won't be using my more ranged stuff much. so you should be fine in that respect XD one thing i did notice though, i think in the very last paragraph on your sheet you mixed up the names, i'm not sure though. (i may have read it wrong)

ok, you've been added to the posting order on the first post. just two little things about trick shot. first, i noticed a little bit i think you made a mistake on (capable of !0'000 Rpm), just thought i'd let you know in case. and second, doesn't it seem a little fast? wouldn't the recoil of a 50 round burst have you shooting the treetops? i don't know how you use it or anything so i'm just saying, from my perspective it seems like it's fire rate is a little high. but it's up to you really

Sorry max I missed you comment on the trick shots. i originally planned on removing that altogether. Basically it fires ice shots. It fires the 50 rounds all at once and it's meant as a way to encase people in ice. Hope it clears things up.

So I was thinking of using coin shots but I'm not sure about the whole have a judge flip a coin thing. Maybe just half the coins hit or something i'm not eally sure how to go about it where it's fair. Not really sure if it'd be considered overpowered since it can hit anyone.

if you want, i could flip a coin 11 times. the first one decides if it hit, the rest decide how powerful it is. whoever it get's hot at decides where it hits though. and the person has to be in, say, 100 feet, clear line of sight.

Build
Vex is small and thin with slightly larger than average breasts and average hips. Her arms are somewhat thin and her hands a are small. She has well toned legs and has a light tan overe her normaly pale skin.
Vex's facial features are fairly pretty with her skin being clear and her face being rather full and with highish cheekbones her hair is worn long to her back and braided so as to stay out of the way while her bangs are long and pulled to either side with a single clip.

Clothing/armor
Vex doesn't wear any traditional armor. Instead she wears a reinforced Tank top that is cut off just above the stomach on both front and back for mobility

She wears shorts as well which are cut off three inches from the knee and leggings up to the thigh which are not reinforced and are lightweight to allow for airflow. Her feet are protected by boots up to her calf and have plates in the toes and shins

All her clothing is colored black and grey.

(Note some of her forms are armored and are described in each spell)

An 18" dagger with a simple steel blade and hilt with a red gem set in the hilt.

Magic

A simple short range explosion caused by

Blazing cloak Lv 1 skill. Drain low damage. Varied charge time none l, recovery time 1-2 posts
A physical cloak fire that boosts attack and allows for various objects to be superheated over a three minute period weak to water and low oxygen levels.

Transformation magic. Subtype fire. Lv 3+ drain varies. Damage. Varies.charger time.1-4 posts (depending on level) recovery time 1-9 posts (depending on level) spell duration indefinite up to burning seriph then it's limited to five posts then is reduced to the spirit of fire for the rest of the match. Or if a set amount of damage is taken. (Three major blows as a base)
Vex has a special type of magic as the result of her origins. This magic while certainly unique is not the strongest form of fire magic and is in now way immune to normal weakness and damage.

Partial transformation lv 3 skill, drain low, damage mid to low charge time 1 post recovery time 1 post
Parts of the user become solid fire and while still able to burn they do not set fire to anything and require direct contact to damage.

Fire fiend. Lv 4 skill, drain low l, damage low to moderate , charge time one post, recovery time 1-2 posts
A full body transformation with which appears to by the physical body shape of the caster and form of them with diminished armor a
But increased physical strength and the ability to throw fireballs.is still solid and can be attacked.

Spirit of fire Lv 5 skill, drain moderate, damage, moderate charge time 1-2 posts recovery time 2 posts

A full transformation Vex's hair turns white and her eyes turn read as the only outward signs. However around her is an area of moderate heat that wile doesn't do any damage will make an opponent uncomfortable if they stay there too long (assuming the weather is hot)
This form can also create fireballs and make small bursts of flame to attack with.

Phoenix warrior Lv 6 skill, drain moderate to heavy, damage. Moderate to strong
At this level Vex gains armor made of solid fire and her hair has a constant flame to it as well. This form is almost purely for combat and as such it is the most balanced between attack and defense with a good about of speed as well.
Powers in the form are the ability to create a small shield of fire that will defend against killing blows and crippling blows once before needing to be recast . Each successive casting weakens it

This form can also shoot jets of flame and use the blazing cloak power to attack.

Burning Seriph. Level 7 skill, drain heavy, damage moderate to low.
The form grants blazing wings to the Phoenix warrior form at the cost of attack power and a new weakness to ranged weapons.
However Vex gains a burning barrage of fireballs. And the ability to fly as well as the powers of the Phoenix warrior.

Goddess of fire lv 10 skill, drain extreme damage heavy to moderate.
The final form of Vex's powers. In this form vex's appearance is like that of a blazing goddess of fire. She wears robes that appear to send forth little flames and has a visible aura around her. She can also make the robes disappear and in their stead she will have glorious blazing armor in black and red. In this form she is weakest to water and it's relatives as well as her own energy limit. This spell is so draining that to use it once is to lose magic for a week while she recovers.

In this form any and all powers of previous forms apply at some level of reduced power.
She is given full control of existing fire and her aura will lightly damage an opponent.


Fighting style.
Close range. Hand to hand style. Relies on speed and dexterity to avoid damage and uses her magic to attack when weapons don't work


History.
Vex was born into a severely impoverished young family. Her father made steel for a living and her mother was unable to work because she was not human. This led to her being given up to an orphanage in hopes that one day they would be able to find her and adopt her back into their family.

This was not to happen though. Sadly Vex's father died during an accident which left her mother alone and shunned form humanity. And kept from her daughter.. or at lest it tried.. Vex's mother never stopped watching her. She never stopped believing her child would grow up and do better.than she could.

Fast forward three years and vex turns twenty. The school she'd somehow managed to get into for reasons she did not know had taught her much and her experience in combat has honed her skills to a new level of power. She still goes there and still trains. But now she has more freedom. She has dedicated that to discovering her family and finding out just what she is.

I don't use a specific character of mine because I fear like she would indeed be OP and never get hit like Derp's complaint. She's basically a waterbender but instead uses metal more powerful then steel and can move it at speeds faster then sound and split them into hundreds of tiny droplets fired like bullets. Yep. Don't mess with her.

Well, there can be specific powers and strategies to beat her that doesn't have to be a god but it would be far too tough for normal battles. Once I get a larger character list I might make her available to challenges if they think they have one of the winning plans. In the story idea she comes from I have thought up ways where she's almost lost, such as getting worn down through repeated attacks by thousands of monsters. Firing off her "bullets" and such at the speeds and amounts required to take down large amounts of people would take a noticeable toll on her stamina if done for a long time, and she also only has a certain amount so if she's busy attacking then you might be able to sneak up and hit her where she's not defending herself with the stuff. She needs openings to see and breath as well, so she can only completely close herself up in it for short periods.

Still vastly overpowered then any of my other characters, but possible to defeat if played perfectly against her. I bet Batman could somehow figure it out.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find a judge willing to judge a battle solely on character ability. Here at RPA 'most' battles are judged on how you write, not your character.

Raen, i'm sorry to say i'm not accepting you at this point. i have read through your CS and come to the conclusion that there re a few issues that would need to be fixed before you could participate. if you wish you are free to apply again after changing these things. i'll list what i found wrong here and if you have any complaint about what i list then feel free to message me.

-age: you have made your character far to old to be human, magic or no.

-weapons: you simply have overloaded your fighter. having a pocket dimension is fine, but if you're going to have it then you might wish to toss some of those excess weapons your character isn't mentioned using all that often in there so they're not weighing him down

-magic: after your weapons this was the biggest issue i found. there are some things in this list that are too vague, giving you basic access to do whatever you want inside that type of magic as there is little to no mention of any spells under this category. (magic and blood arts)

-spells: more than a few of your spells are powerful area attacks that there is no chance for any non shadow user to really avoid. another thing i noticed is that on almost all the spells you added a casting time to are either instant or one post. this would be fine (apart from both meaning the same thing) if these were put on some of your more powerful spells. last of all on this subject you make mention of spells that have effects on you once they end....but make no mention of when they end. leaving it open for you to interpret how long these spells last making the after effects less reliant.

-history: although it mentions that you are going to redo this already i thought it still good to mention. it needs to be refocused. almost it's entirety is aimed at the 'prophet' you associated your character with rather than your character itself.

All those tarot cards indeed seems like a hassle to type up, but it seems al the better to have a chance of beating her to have so many abilities to keep her guessing. If you can't beat her outright you can possibly beat her by doing the unexpected. You can start the 1x1 if you'd like or get me to do it. At the very least it will pass the time while we wait for our turn even if she does turn out too OP and the match ends quickly. I could go with the plan to make her younger so the most important change is her material moves slower and thus easier to react to and less powerful so you aren't torn to shreds as you blink.

oh no, the cards are a pain but that's not why i don't normally use him (i once almost had all the cards written up but my laptop died and deleted it all cos i forgot to save. but his main power is voodoo. he's quite literally a soul trapped in a life size voodoo doll filled up with sand and his ashes his only real weakness is if you can manage to not let him (or any part of him, sand included) touch you even once. if he does any damage he takes he can reflect back. but if he doesn't touch you then he'll end up taking double the damage after a short time of not getting rid of it. so really either way it'll be a short fight XD

And elements for example while a fire user can create fire to make light he or she can't use light to attack. The same applies to every other magic. Also I should comment on something mentioned: the arena is indeed not bound by the rules of SMUT. A single character can participate in as many battles as they wish, simultaneous or otherwise. They are not bound by death, they are not required to remember past fights, whether complete or not, etc. You can even decide not to follow any of these 'rules' if you so desire. There are 'accepted' guidelines that most people follow, but by no means are you bound by them if you so choose. It's all for fun, so why bring super-strict rules into it? XD
