"Looks like a unit heading this way."

Ray spun the machine around facing west towards the coordinates that appeared on board the Manikin's HUD. It showed six targets moving in fast, five of them average Manikin mechs and one of them a large unidentified mech.

"Something isn't right," stated Ray studying the stats on his visor. "A unit of six is..."

"Abnormal? The Akari usually send an army."

"Yea," Ray couldn't help but feel uneasy and at the same time worried that the Akari were up to something.

"Hey Xiphon," Henry called. "Is it me or the larger Manikin lagging behind the other five?"

"I see it too," just as the words left his lips a blue and hazy beam of light blasted right past him blowing Henry's Manikin into bits leaving a smoldering heap of scrap metal strewed across the dirt. He couldn't help but look on in helpless surprise as the attack had totally thrown him off.

"Listen up Manikins," came the voice of Sean Veil, the commander of the Redemption Manikin units. "That laser was fired from the large unidentified Manikin that lagged behind the unit. Mark it as your primary objective, take it out before it reaches the walls of Redemption. The average Class S Manikins accompanying it are secondary, elimination of them are recommended but not required."

"Not required, my ass," replied Xiphon as he raised his left arm an took aim at the approaching units with his sub-machine gun. "If we don't take them out, they'll kill us."

The HUD began to bleep as it picked up on a cloaking field being disbanded behind him. They had an army after all, cloaked and moving in from the rear. A tactical move.

"Shit," yelled Ray. "We need to split up and divide priorities."

"Shut the hell up Ray," came a voice over the system. "We're not listening to you. You're not in command and we're not going to risk our lives for a failures orders."

Ray felt the urge to fight back, but now really was a bad time for petty arguments. Instead he just hushed and watched the various commands appearing on the HUD screen. They showed Akari appearing from everywhere in the rear and again he could only feel like something bigger was behind this.

Arxus turned to face the new threat from behind, debating which targets were more important. A few seconds later he opened up on the main army with his manikin's minigun, cutting a swathe of destruction through the first few lines of Akri. Then he opened a private communication channel with Ray, his voice scrambler giving him a unique gravely and electronic voice. "Ray, you're right, we do need to divide our forces between the main force and the laser, but our orders are to go after the laser and the sooner we can accomplish that the faster we can take on the army."

Three of the Akri rushed him, two were disabled with the minigun and the third was smashed aside with Arxus' powerfist. He went back to communicating on the public channel. "For Redemption, for glory, and for freedom!" Arxus spun around again and rushed towards the heavy manikin and its five escorts, H12 minigun belching hot steel at the enemy.

((Hope you don't mind, kinda freestyling xD))

Vera listened to her orders, as she was never one to question authority. That and shooting at big things with other big things tend to make big explosions. And big explosions are fun.
The torso of her manikin slowly swung around to face the group, as it is usually a pain to turn, that and it has a sort of periscope thing that allows her to see in all direction while being still. Once the torso was facing the group of seven, it only took her manikin a few seconds to predict where the 200mm H.E.A.T. round would land when fired, and it's aim was adjusted accordingly. While this was happening, she also put up her shield and locked the her 70mm auto cannon and rocket pod onto the two easiest targets to hit.
Three loud beeps sounded in her cockpit, and she fired.
The rail gun was the first to go off, or at least you didn't hear the other ones go off. It let out a deafening boom as the shell went out at well over 6,000 miles per hour and left a streak of glittering orangish-red plasma. In much less than a second later, it hit Akari Manikin head on with full force. The other weapons fired and hit, but didn't have the same shock and awe value as the railgun.
Vera let out a little giggle into her mic after her weapons went off.
"Phew, damn, that just never ever ever gets old does it?"

Tesla zoomed in on the approaching Mainkin's, zipping from side to side so that the enemy couldn't get a lock on her. Her manikin may have been old and heavy, but it was quick. She picked her first target, and sped forward. She could already hear the others firing, and she adjusted her attack angle to avoid the friendly fire. She could also hear their chatter, but she was only listening to Ray's channel. As she neared closing range with the enemy, she launched her grappling hook at the ground in front of her, catapulting into the air. She went flying, and landed on top of an enemy mech. She raised her claw and brought it down wear the enemy's power core was, then leaped away as it blew up behind her. She turned her Manikin's torso in mid-air, loosing a shot back into another of the enemy's direction.

"The larger Manikin is charging again," shouted Commander Veil through the HUD. "In relation to aim, it seems to be aiming for the fortress."

"How is that possible," asked Ray over the HUD. "They're much too far for any weapon to reach the fortress."

Just then another flash erupted in the distance and the same blueish laser blasted past the Manikins and straight through one of the walls of the fortress opening a gaping hole.

"Looks like the repair squads will be busy tonigh," shouted one of the other members in the squad."

[HUD] -> Advance on unidentified Manikin immediately <-[HUD]

A handful of the squad raced off in full thrusters towards the machine in the distance, but was waylaid as a dozen RPG equipped infantry burst from the sand and launched their missiles taking down what they could before the S Class Akvir Manikins opened fire finishing off the rest in a matter of minutes.

"Commander, what the hell are you doing?!"

"Xiphon keep you mouth shut," replied Relic. "This is my army, not yours."

"These are my friends," he shouted back.

"Men die Xiphon, now the rest of you follow your onboard commands."

[HUD] -> Split up and approach the two groups! <- [HUD]

Ray could only feel aggravation at the mere thought of his own idea being taken, but oh well.

"I'll head for the unidentified one, who else is coming?"

A jet roar was heard in the distance, and was rapidly approaching. The Manikin, Volnutt, dropped from above, landing with jets on the boots easing the fall. The sun glinted off the freshly cleaned Manikin's armor, and another flash as it activated its beam saber.

"I hope I didn't miss anything, I was just finishing the new coat of wax."

"I'll head for the unidentified one, who else is coming?"

"I'll come, I am more suited for a close quarter fight, if that laser was proof of anything, that Manikin is designed for long range battle."

The roar of searing hot metal and explosions cascading into the battle field one after the other, End slammed his fist down on the control board as he watched a few of the people he knew taken down by the RPGs. What the hell was the commander thinking?

“Ray I’m sending over a few of my drones toward those RPGs,” he said after punching a few numbers on the HUD.”I’m pretty sure you know what to do once when they get their attention.”

As he finished up talking, a beeping from one of the drones sighted something, a Manikin from the Akari main army rushing towards him.
It shot in fast succession trying to lay a hit on the already moving End, he moved quickly to sidestep avoiding its fire he switched on his radar lock and started letting his drones charge the enemy with their basic laser equipment as the Manikin turned its attention toward the drones as they shot trying to hit every vital weak points this Manikin had, End moved behind driving his plasma blade toward him he let a nice red glow emit from the enemy’s back then a searing roar came as he pulled his hand away and the Manikin fell to the ground lifeless.
He turned to the other side opposite of the Unidentified and looked over to the others in needing of help.

“I’m going toward the main army,” he said as he let the jets push him forward toward them with his drone following close. “They need the support and we don’t need any more dead men so hurry up and finish the Unidentified before it’s too late.”
