The year is 1978. Muggles and Muggle-borns are being killed off by Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters. The only hope for a more peaceful time lies within the newly formed Order of the Pheonix, headed by none other then Albus Dumbledore. The Marauders and the others in their year have just graduated from Hogwarts and are thrown into the midst of the battle. The rivalries that used to exist between students have only grown as they are now expected to fight to the death. No one yet knows of the horrors that will rain down on both sides over the course of the next three years. Fabian and Gideon Prewett, the elder brothers of Molly Weasley, have not had to make their stand against a grand total of five Death Eaters in order to be killed. The families of Edgar Bones and Marlene McKinnon have not yet been slaughtered. Alice and Frank Longbottom have not yet been totured into insanity by the Lestranges. James and Lily Potter have not yet met their untimely end based on information that Severus Snape happened to pass on to the Dark Lord. All anyone knows right now is that they have to survive.

Rules:

1) Follow all of RPA's rules of course
2) One paragraph minimum in the IC.
3) I realize over the course of this story line that certain characters get pregnant etc...but I honestly don't like to hear the details of certain male-female relations and would like people to skip over that stuff. You can of course have then hug and kiss and stuff, that's fine. I'm thinking this means that the thread is PG-13, but I'm not actually sure on that.
4) You can have more then one character.

Bio: James Potter grew up a pampered little prince having been born an only child. Basically, he could get away with nearly anything. As a child his two great loves became quidditch and pulling pranks. During his first year of Hogwarts, he met Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew, and the famous Marauders group was formed. Though they never actually announced that they had a leader, James was the pack leader. During his first year he also met Lily Evans, whom he very quickly became infatuated with despite the fact that she chose to be best friends with Snape of all people. During his Hogwarts years, the Marauders made quite a name for themselves pulling off the most epic pranks imaginable. It was during his seventh year that he sobered up, with the responsibility of being Head Boy on his shoulders, with the realization that things in the wizarding world were going down hill fast. He also started dating Lily, who finally agreed to go out with him. Now fresh from his last year of school, he is training to become an auror and has joined the Order of the Pheonix.

Bio: The middle child of Cygnus and Druella Black, and the sister to Bellatrix and Narcissa. In the beginning she completely believed all the things her parents told her about how they were superior to all the others in the wizarding world. She spent the better part of the first fourteen years of her life trying to model herself after her older sister Bellatrix. Everything changed when Ted Tonks, a muggleborn wizard, was given the task of tutoring her in Charms class. Andromeda gradually began to fall in love with the boy despite the knowledge that the majority of her family would turn against her if their relationship went anywhere. During the summer before her seventh year of school, Andromeda and Ted eloped with each other, an action that would get the seventeen year old blasted off the family tree. The teenager never even looked back at her old life; she wanted a new one with her husband. She wouldn’t give up Ted or their five year old daughter Nymphadora for the world. She currently works at St.Mungo’s as a healer.
