Al had been walking for some time now, and it was boring as usual.
He should scrape enough money together for a horse when he had the time, and this road was somewhat untraveled, at least this time a year… day… week… whatever, he was pretty much alone around here.
He had left the capitol of V’ida almost two days ago, which meant that his destination were getting ever the closer, after all a rough two day journey by foot marked the distance between the capitol and the ruins Volut'e Demani'ttra that were once a mansion of a powerful alchemist.
Al had been wanting to go there for many years, but things just kept coming in the way, like the last time he aimed for this place, he overshot it and ended up in a village a day’s journey away from it, though he did meet a few interesting people, and ended up fending away a small demon raid, him and the farmers did a decent job.

Though, this brought him back till today, if nothing else he was smart enough to pack food this time, he had gotten a cheap backpack that he had filled with enough food for a week, as well as sleeping items, and he had gotten a journal and a strange item called a ‘pen’. Instead of having to dip a feather in ink, this thing had the ink within itself, and it worked normally just better.
His idea was that this mansion might still have some magical ties, or some hidden riddles and clues or something, he was hoping to find something very interesting there.

After days of walking, without any special interaction beside his own thoughts, he finally got to the place, the ruins of the old mansion.
Time had not been nice to it, and the rubble was all over the place, the ceiling had collapsed most places and though there were still a very defined hallway here and there, not to mention a torn painting, or some discarded vases of lower quality around. It was pretty much as you would expect.

The first thing Al decided to do was to find a dry place where he could light a fire for the night, and he found a nice room that still had a working ceiling which kept the room dry’ish and very little wind movement.
First now he noted some strange claw marks, and discarded fur here and there, a wooden pole that used to hold something in height were almost clawed to death, some old banners were torn to shreds and littered around.
It was almost as if a large cat had taken residence in the area and just left.
Al didn’t really care that much and decided that he should set up camp first, which was done in a corner of the room, made so that the food was not easily steal-able should there still be some animals around here.
Sitting down he decided to get a fire kindling and some food before he started investigating the area. Which was not a hard thing to do as he had some skill in what he needed to do, and in the matter of a few minutes he sat and enjoyed the warmth of the fire as he warmed his food for a better taste.

The sunlight streamed in through the window, prompting her to turn over onto the side away from the window. She pulled the sheet over her head as she tried to head back to sleep, yet was awaken by the cawing of the rooster near the edge of the tower. Even from this distance, it still echoed clearly through the clock like surrounds of Helvan Shores academy. She sighed as she threw the covers off, her shirt hanging loosely on her frame. She swung her bare legs over the edge and walked over to the curtains, peering out at the night time students walking back to their rooms for some well deserved sleep. Most of those students were students whose magic dealt with darkness, and some even with fire magic, which was easier to watch at night.

"I'm going to strangle that rooster one of these days." Osewa muttered groggily. She pulled the shades closed as she turned around. She got dressed quickly, making sure her wand was tucked into a loose stitching on the inside of her left sleeve for easy storage. She fixed her hair up and adjusted the emerald leaf in her hair.

"Now off to see my friend." Osewa said cheerfully, splashing water onto her face. She smiled happily as she began to gather her stuff together, along with some food for a lunch. She peeked out of her room, then headed towards the far wall, still hidden in the morning sunlight. She walked along the wall and exited at the 7 o'clock entrance. She began making her way to the old ruins that her friend Katil was living in. She was ready for a long walk, and she knew she should have told the elders, but she couldn't allow the elders to know why she was leaving

~One walk later~

She pushed her way out of the brush as the ruins came into view. She just finished brushing off her clothes as she was tackled by something furry, or more or less someone.

"Good day to you too, Katil." Osewa said, detangling herself from her friend. She was greeted with a warm nudge on the leg, and startled with a frightened sounding meow.

"Someone is in your room here... Let's go check it out." Osewa said, placing the basket on the ground and entering the ruins.

"Hello, any one home?" Osewa called out loudly, her voice echoing around the ruins.

Al has eaten the food that he decided should be enough for today, after all he did not know how long he was going to stay at this place.
Packing his stuff back into the bag and securing that, he started checking out the room he had found himself in.
Judging by what was found in here it seemed to be a bedroom of sorts, though he could not tell if it were for the servant(s) or for the master himself.
The important thing was that Aldar himself had somewhere to stay for the time being, and the room was further investigated. It had some strange markings around, though almost all of them seemed to be done by an animal, or from signs of battle. Nothing specific like an alchemist’s circle or runes. Though as of now Al was looking for anything and everything, so odds of finding something should be higher.

Suddenly his search was cut short by a female voice shouting for attention.
Aldar grasped the hilt of his blade with his right hand, and pointed his left at the fire as he whispered *”Contego”* Around the fire a small dome formed which made the fire die due to strangulation in a few seconds, where after the dome faded.
Al jumped out a window and flanked around the hallway that the sound came from, hoping to get a view on what or who was shouting for attention.
He tilted his head in though a large crack in the wall, allowing him to see into the hallway, and… was it? It couldn’t, could it?
Indeed, it was his friend, or perhaps it was more like an acquaintance from a few years ago or so, he was a little iffy about the passage of time.
His body had a natural crouch as he moved around outside the hallway due to the rough terrain, and he ended up entering though another crack that lead him to only a few meters away from the girl.

“Osewa, it’s been a while~” he stated with a happy tone at the girl, completely ignoring the half-beast at her side.

(OOC : I have been given full rights by Red Fox to G'mod his character)

Katil stopped and sniffed the air, as a soft scent of human wafted past her nose, someone old and .. dirty... Katil turned to face the new comer, letting out a small meow as the man walked slowly towards them. Osewa turned at the mention of her name, her wand falling into place in her hand. She was to the point of raising it, but stopped halfway through when she saw who it was.

"N..No, it couldn't be?!" Osewa shuttered at the man. Her eyes had gone wide, her hands shaking visibly. She was scared of the man staring in front of her, because it could have been.

"Bu.... But you were killed.. for that child!" Osewa shouted, raising her wand to shoulder height. Her hand was shaking still as she stared at the man, stepping backwards one step.

They had met in her home town, Astarid, and they had started up a nice conversation after she had convinced him to stay there. It was on the day that she was planning to leave that a small demon horde had decided to attack the village. They had taken the time to warn the villagers, and evacuate the young and elderly. She had helped take out some of the demons, Aldar helping out as well. Unfortunately one child had remained, to help out with protecting the village. He was almost killed if it wasn't for Aldar protecting him. He was ripped in half, as she watched, preoccupied with fending off her own sides of demons. The image still haunted her dreams ever now and then.

"Yo..u you cant be real. I saw you get ripped apart! GUIN!" Osewa shouted, waving her wand around and pointing it right back at the man who was mostly a fake. A large bundle of tree roots, formed into the shape of a spike, shot through the man's abdomen. She fell to the ground, her wand falling out of her hand. The spike retracted into the ground, the man's body falling to the ground with a limp thlump. She hadn't known him long, but was still sad at seeing the same man die again in front of her eyes.

"no, cant think like that. That couldn't have been him" She murmured to herself.

Aldar stood there for a few seconds, letting her take in the image of him being there, after all it was some time since the last time.
Though, she looked confused.. No. Afraid, why?

She stuttered as she stated that he could not be real, that she saw him getting ripped apart.
This resurrected the memory in the back of his head, that was true, there was that demon raid at the town that day, and Aldar did indeed get in the way of a demon attack, and was literally ripped in half by the demon in question.

Though, what Osewa did not see, was Aldar’s gift, his power, was that his body ‘gathered itself’ and healed regardless of the damage. Yes it hurt like there were no tomorrow, but at least it is better than the normal after effect, you know… Death?

“Don*” Al was planning to calm her down, telling her not to worry and relax, until he suddenly realized the meaning of the word in the end of her sentence, that was right; she was a mage. And now a nice thick sharpened root or something had decided to exit though Al’s back, lethally damaging him. His eyes bulged from the shear pain as the blood splattered over the walls and the remnants of the ceiling. The root retracted into the ground under the stone tiles as it took with itself plenty of core before Al followed the course painted by his life-giving liquid, ending up with a dull splash should as he landed.

He lied there like that, a hole in his gut and his blood splattered all over for a few seconds. Then the blood began to drip off the ceiling, down the wall, and everything ended up being absorbed by Aldar’s body. The hole though him closed and after a few seconds of this ‘movement’ the only thing that showed the existence of his death were a circular jagged edge scar on his gut, and the hole in his shirt.
He got to his feet fairly drunkenly, he felt fatigued, the pain was still present and was like someone had put a glowing hot piece of metal into his gut and left it there to fester.
Luckily enough the pain was beginning to fade and should be gone in a minute or so, but for now it was very much present.
It was clear that he was in a form of pain, and that he seemed like he had just ran a distance.
“That hurts you know-“ he stated with a pain filled forced smile at Osewa. “-I would be glad if you did not do that again.” He ended with a honest smile, still in pain and slightly bent over, as if someone had punched him in the gut.

Her eyes widen again as Al stood up, a jagged scar on the inside where the root had apparently ripped through his stomach. He told her that it hurt to be stabbed, and asked her to not do that again. She stared at him, with him slightly bent over, and looked into his green eyes.

She could feel the similar alien familiar feeling of two marked people when their eyes lock with each other. She tried to remember what had happened, and looked where the scar was on his stomach.. or scars rather. She looked at his neck, which a line scar marked his neck. She guessed that it probably marked where some one had tried to kill him, and another mark inside the area where she had just stabbed him.

She looked on the wall at where there would have been blood and probably some organs, but there was nothing. Her mind began to work faster that her brain wanted to.

"So this is your gift? So its really you Al?" Osewa asked, her voice some what shaky from what she had just done. Katil went over and began sniffing the man, interested that he was still standing. Osewa still looked at him, stunned from the scene in front of her eyes.

Aldar was a bit amused by this, as it never failed to lost its charm, to him at least, when he stood up again from the dead with little if any after effects.
He was also a little interested in the one interested in him, a fur covered half beast that were interested in his smell. By the looks of it she might have been the one scratching the room that he set up camp in, though he could not be certain.

Looking back at Osewa, she looked more convinced now that she had seen a ghost, which was not that strange if you thought about it. Someone you saw killed, came back from the grave, and now again after accidentally being killed by the person in question.
Then she asked something, if this was really him. Naturally his morbid sense of humor could not resist a ghost joke, so he did what any other person that would not die would do in a situation like this.

He lifted his hands outwards a little, taking care to fluff the coat a little, while he made ‘ghost sounds’ and spoke in a strange voice.
“No! I am a ghost!” he shouted as he stepped towards her in a rather threatening motion, expecting her to just scream or something.

"Ceangail!" Osewa shouted on impulse, pointing at Al. Roots poured out of the ground and began to wrap around Al, binding his arms and legs together tightly. He fell onto the ground with a heavy thump. She blinked again as her ears registered the sound into her brain, along with the fact that she had killed him not just two seconds ago.

She stood up and walked over to where he was laying on his back. She waved her wand over him, causing the roots to wind their way back into the ground. She stared at him and poked him in the chest, feeling the resistance of matter against matter.

"So it must be you." Osewa said, having calmed down some. She slapped him roughly on the face with her free hand, her eyes flashing angrily for a second.

"Don't you dare do that to me again!" Osewa shouted at him, referring to him trying to scare her like that. She placed her wand back away as Katil walked up to her and sat down next to her, meowing softly.

"Oh, and this is my friend, katil. She says you stole her room. She would like it back possibly." Osewa said, nonchalantly, acting if she hadn't just killed him a few seconds ago. She sat down besides him and sighed, tired from the walk, spell cast, and hunger. She had spent most of the day walking, but it was already promising to be a long afternoon.

Another strange word came out of the girls mouth, which ended up with a sprout of vines growing from the ground, or perhaps it was roots, though this was not the time of smartass arguments.
The sole reason that Al had not drawn his blade or channeled his own magic was that he was sure of who this was, and though he was actually killed a minute ago, she was not a threat…. Per se.
In the matter of a second or so, he found himself able to move only barely, and as it tightened around his feet balance decided to screw him over and ram his body on to the hard stone floor.
After coughing for a few seconds as he had the air knocked out of him for a moment there, he smiled to himself.
“Ok… I had that one coming..” as it indeed was something he had brought upon himself for doing this ghost routine.

A few seconds later the vines, or roots, or whatever they were escaped back into the ground on Osewa’s whim as she walked over towards him.
He decided it could be smart to act a little more careful and he decided to just lie there for now. Though, a slap marked its existence on his cheek, which again he might have deserved.
After a strange order though a shout, the whole ordeal were put behind her, no doubt mentally messing with her for years to come, she at least acted calmer. Though the strangest thing of it all might have been the halfbeast that were pretty calm all around this thing, did it know? Or was it just a ‘meh’ personality on it?
In any case, Al decided that this was a good time to get up, so he did and now found himself on his feet, the pain from the death a minute ago had almost disappeared but were still tender.

The half-beast were introduced as Katil, and apparently Al had taken her room…. That explained the fur around that room .
“Well, I'm sorry for having taken her room, perhaps some dried meat will make up for it?” he sort of asked no one in particular, but he was looking at the creature as he stated it.

Galilahi sat down, she had been walking for the entire day, she saw an old ruined mansion up ahead. She thought there would be bad weather, so the ruins was a pretty welcome sight.
"I'll use it as shelter..."
She stood up and began walking for it she could see several tracks leading for it... so maybe it wasn't empty...
Getting closer she thought she heard voices inside. She was getting second thoughts, it smelled like human in there... there was a beast smell too...
"Maybe I ought to just leave..."
Her feeling told her that there would be rain soon... and this was good shelter. Well, it could turn out two ways, either they would attack her, and she'd kill them, or they'd be scared of her and leave her alone. She was fine either way, so she boldly opened the door to the ruined mansion.

Katil meowed at him, her eyes going wide. She knew of the word meat, and was glad to be given free version of it. She began dancing around Al's feet, hopping now and again

"Well, it seems you know the secret word" Osewa laughed happily at the antics of Katil. Often times she had forgotten that she was a half beast, and thought ore of her as friends.

She had found katil starved and bruised near her home, on one of the days she had gone to visit her home. Taking pity on the half beast, she had taken her, written a message to her family, and whisked her away to the ruins, taking her week to nurse her back to health alone. It had taken almost a month of sneaking back her to heal her, and almost another to get Katil to trust her. She still bore some of the marks on her arms.

Katil stopped suddenly as she stared at the remains of the main door, getting onto all fours and arching her back. She hissed and stared at the door, her claws clacking against the ground.

Osewa turned on her feet and pointed her wand at the door. She figured none would come to this place for free time, so whoever it was must have some reason to do it.

"Speak who enters here" Osewa said commandingly.

Galilahi pushed open the door and was met by a hissing half-beast. She growled low towards it and she then looked at the human, holding a wand.
"I'm of no concern to you, human." The last word was spoken with venom.
She didn't like humans, at all, she hoped this one wouldn't bother her. "Unless you make me a concern." She showed her teeth and let her hand reach for the hilt of her axe.
If this human turned out to be a threat, she'd kill her, good riddance.

Red Fox

Al sighed.
”What’s with all this hostility? At least give each other a chance before you threaten with killing.” He walked a little to the side, sort of separating himself from the group as he turned towards the axe wielding fuzzballl.
“-I don’t know what happened in your past, but we didn’t do anything, did we?-“
He broke this cappy speech with an extended hand towards the newcomer. “-My name is Aldar, and if you are willing to give us a chance, there is dried meat in it for you~” he ended his greeting speech with a form of bribe if you wish.
As this played back in his mind, he really cursed himself for saying things like he did, his words were true but it sounded like some mother breaking up a few bullies…. Or something. Well, he were glad that he over packed food this trip, as it seems that he might need it with this crew, and that is without knowing how much this one ate.

Osewa lowered her wand at the newcomer. It was another half beast, more human than animal. It seemed to be hostile towards human, and had already laid her hand on her axe hilt with what she assumed was a defensive position.

Aldar though, ended up walking in between her and the half beast, as though to stop any possible fight. He followed it up with an offering of meat, more or less a bribe for civility. Osewa relaxed and put her wand away. Katil though, was still with her back hunched, but was now sniffing at the air. Osewa went over and petted her on the back, causing her to purr and loosen her back.

"Why don't you go say hi?" She whispered into her ear, patting her lightly on the back. Katil blinked twice then tentatively began talking over to the new wolf furry, sniffing the air now and then. She let out a soft meow when she felt close enough to watch for reactions from the other person, without getting hurt.

Galilahi took her hand off her axe.
"Galilahi, I'm seeking shelter here, there will be rain soon."
As the other half beast approached she squatted down and looked at it.
"Be glad, you seem to have found a good life out here."
Galilahi stood up again.
"Like I said, I don't intend to bother you..."
Well, these humans seemed better than most... but she had learned that lesson a long time ago... don't trust humans.

Al sighed, there were too much tension in the air, not to mention what seemed like someone that did not take things seriously.
By the looks of it, this newcomer, this Galilahi… Gali, seemed to be of a wolven heritage, or at least that was what Al came to.
Judging by her posture and reaction, it seemed like that she was plenty skilled to take care of herself, though he could not tell if she were feral or ‘tame’ so to speak.

“Well, you are welcome to share my camp if you wish, though I don’t have much in the sense of bedding, I can share my food.” He stated as he walked past the wolf, leaving the others behind.
Al were the type that had a rather loose grasp of being careful at times, thinking of it why should he? Most fear death, some respect it, some even want it. For Al it was a temporary inconvenience.

After a minute of walking, perhaps less, he was trapped in thought so he did not really pay attention, he entered the room where he had set camp in, supposedly the cat half-beast’s room.
Due to this being the only place he had found with a workable ceiling, the cat would have to share for the night at least. Though with the promise of free food she might let him stay of her own accord. Though Al was normally a happy and lenient type, there were times when he just wanted his way.

He sat down and started resurrecting the fire by the means of blowing on some small glowing parts, feeding it easily burned wood until it started catching on its own again.

Katil happily ran after Al, the words of food making her forget the newcomer. She meowed energetically along the way, ignoring Osewa in the desire for free meat.

"Well, Galilahi, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Most half beasts I have met attack humans on site. Personally, I think its wrong what humans did to the half beasts." Osewa said, placing her wand back inside the sleeve of her blouse, using the loose stitching to hold it in place once again for easy draw and hiding.

"My name is Osewa Planead. If you want some dinner, you better hurry along, before Katil decides to eat it all." Osewa laughed warmly at the last part. She smiled again at Galilahi and began walking off after Katil, hoping Galilahi would follow her.

Katil ended up bouncing onto the four poster bed that was tucked against the main wall. She circled around twice in the center of the bed and flopped down, staring at the fire while licking her chops occasionally.

Galilahi was feeling reluctant staying here... but they didn't seem like slavers or bandits, and as stated before... this was the best shelter around. She decided to follow the humans and the half beast. Inside the room she sat down in the corner and looked at the two. The female was a mage... or so she assumed, with the wand and all, the male... she wasn't too sure.
"You, male, what is it you do?"
If he would tell her, she'd be better prepared if it turned violent... if he didn't tell her, he obviously had something to hide and she should be on her guard.

Al found it a little funny, and let out a chuckle, as he was talked to as ’you male’ instead of any other distinguishing features.
Though, it did make him realize something, it was true, he was the only male in the room which would have been more interesting had not two of them been half animal. Not to mention that one seemed to act more like a cat, and the other more like someone that wanted to kill him rather than befriend him, so the charm lost its footing fast enough.

From the wolf, Al was asked an interesting question; what is it that he does.
Well, he does many things, what she was referring to was most likely his area of experience in a fight, which would make the answer an experienced Spellsword.
However, as usual, he wanted to play the dumb one, it had served him good in the past; though it might be harder against animal instincts.

“That depends on what you mean, right now, I’m heating our dinner. After all warm food is better than cold, don’t you think?”
He honestly answered, there were no traces of lying, since he was not lying at all, he was just answering her direct question rather than seeing into the meaning of the words. The question that remained to see was if the wolf would take this answer or dig more.

Sirius wondered around Corrilyth for a while during his rare time off wondering what he should do with his saved up golds and silvers that he had earned from his job as a head of material transportation for the governor of Corrilyth. As a half-bear half-human he was a rare commodity in itself, being an Earth bender to boot makes him a very valuable asset to the city as a constructor as he could hold up entire building sides as they renovated it, or he could move massive chunks of plaster out of the way, freeing the need for mule teams when a building collapsed or was pulled down. With his help the city of Corrilyth had slowly become a city of such beauty. Well, some of it did anyways. Other parts of the city no high-ranking official cared about and as such were left to decay.

Sirius turned left down a worn cobble-beaten street heading towards the market to go buy something tasty to eat. It was a shame that Corrilythian officials didn't bother with the down-town and ghetto districts, they could easily be built to accommodate people to much better health standards as well as improving the over-all look of the city. He walked past a particuarly broken down building, its right side sagged, perilously close to collapse and brown-gray grime was built up from waste around it's base while juniper vines struggled up the side of the building trying to find sunlight in this crowded area.

Sirius wondered on with his thoughts as the buildings around him grew steadily better as he left the Ghetto district and entered the Market District of Corrilyth. That would be something he brought up at the next meeting of city officials. Project GR would need to begin sometime, and Sirius knew that if the Ghetto Renovations were completed that tourist attraction to the city would increase tenfold, and they could finally build a guard barracks in the South-eastern corner of the city and lower crime-rates substantially as well as giving many people jobs. They would also need to put in guard towers and posts as well as half-way stations so that guards could go on extended patrol through-out the city without having to walk all the way back to their barrack's for rest.

Taking a left past a tall-oak tree surrounded by a raised brick gutter that the city had put in near 250 years ago Sirius entered the market district. He took real pride in seeing this side of the city, having helped build much of the new renovations and make it a safer place. The Military barracks sitting in the center of Market Plaza made this section of the city nearly safer then the governors own house which also had a military center in it and was patrolled by the best guards in the city.

Sirius approached a market stand that housed many different types of produce kept very fresh by an amateur nature-magician named Brenda. She smiled at him, a brilliant white smile that dazzled him almost as much as her forget-me-not blue-violet eyes with specks of white splattered through them. She had milky brown luscious hair and slender hands, and for some odd reason she took a liking to Sirius from the moment he approached her stand four years ago. He smiled back at her and stepped up to her stand. "Hullo" he said lamely.

"Hi" came her musical voice that seemed to make the day around her brighter and more beautiful. "What is the all-important council-member up to today" she asked jokingly as she began to gather a whole slew of fresh fruits and vegetables that she knew Sirius enjoyed. "Have you constructed any new buildings lately?"

"No, im still pressing the Count to side with me over the Head of Economics. That short bastard is putting up one hell of a fight, I think he has a grudge against something in the Ghettos, else he just hates me or someone else aboard the GR project. I can't think of any other reason why he would need to fight me on this. This will easily make everyones purse heavier in the long run" Sirius said thoughtfully.

"Im sure you'll pull through for the poor souls in the Ghetto's. It's time they get a champion, and who better than someone who actually cares about them for more than people to tax? Not that im saying the Count is one of those people" she added hastily as a group of iron-clad soldiers walked by and one shot her a look. He almost turned broke formation to go speak to Brenda until Sirius turned around and leaned against the stand, his eyes drawn and a frown on his face.

As the soldier walked away Sirius turned around, his smile back in place and took the basket of produce offered by Sadie. "Thank you Brenda" he said and placed four golds and an extra seven silvers on the stand. Brenda tried to object to the extra Silvers but Sirius waved her complaints away and said "You pick out the best produce for me, which is very sweet, so I must return the favor somehow right?" he said. Sirius got a light peck on the cheek instead of an answer. Sirius turned bright red and Brenda laughed lightly as she turned and addressed another customer.

Osewa giggled lightly at the reply from Al to the question of Galilahi. She knew this game of his, some what. She had played this game back in her home town, and found it very annoying and enjoyable. The first time she played his little charade was when she first met him, and was trying to figure out what his mark was, without giving away her own. She looked up as pattering sounds echoed from above, and she could tell what it was easily.

"It seems you were right, Galilahi, it has started to rain. Seems like I won't be making it back tonight. The elders won't like that I am missing.. again." Osewa said, looking down to the ground. She had hoped to visit with Katil for a bit today, then make it back before the guards checked the room again, to make sure the students who were not practicing at night were in the bed, for their safety then their own. She figured that since she would be here for a while, she decided to start cleaning up the areas that she could, mainly the piles of the fur and bits of bones strewn all over the place. Katil let out a small meow while she did this, staring at the fire while waiting for the food. Osewa smiled warmly at the Katil, and looked back to Al, who was still tending to the food.

"Well, since I've never seen you cook, I hope you make warm food and not burnt cinders. I don't think many people will like that very much." Osewa spoke to him, leaning against the wall after throwing most of the fur and bones she could get out the hole in the window. Luckily enough the window was worn in such a way that it slanted outwards, so no water would find its way in easily.

Al smiled at Oswea’s remark, ending up with burnt cinders when just trying to heat the food would have been pretty weak of him.
He wanted to comment on how often he would do this in the war with his brothers in arms, though he didn’t really like thinking about that, as he had lost too many to the V’ida forces. He was drafted by the Albion kingdom into the war quite some time ago, though he came from a neutral island it mattered very little, but after he died and that, he could find a life of his own which is why he started traveling.

“I have some experience in making food, though Im far from a master chef; at the very least I can re-heat premade things.” He answered after a few seconds of thought.
And, shortly after he stated this, the food was marked as done, he threw a few pieces over towards the cat, left some on a wooden board that doubled as a plate for the wolf and for Osewa, a plate with a few pieces each for now.

He started eating his own as he first now decided to look out the windowless window, the rain, it was calm and cleansing. Not to mention that it had a nice sound to it.

Galilahi sighed mentally, he was mocking her...
"I meant to ask how it is you fight..."
She then raised an eyebrow at the food that was presented to her.
"You... would actually share your food with me?"
She had made a reassessment of this man... he definitely was someone she could trust.
She did prefer raw meat, but turning down offered food was dishonorable.

Katil happily pounced on the cooked meat, picking at it slowly because of the heat. Osewa walked over and took a few pieces of the meat, settling against the wall and picking at it carefully, so as not to burn her fingers.

She mentally wondered how Al was going to respond to the Galilahi's new question. She guessed he would probably play dumb again and say something along the lines that he fought using a sword, which was true.

"To avoid possible confusion, I think the best question would be to ask. What is your skills in battle?" Osewa stated, sighing happily. It had been a while since she had eaten just regularly cooked food out in the open, which made it just that much nicer. She was also hoping to have picked out the right words to ask him.

Al could do little but laugh for himself, most of it were due to the information that Osewa stated. It was true, he was going to answer ‘with a sword’. Clearly the last time he spoke to her about things she had learned his smartass method of evading to answer.

Though, in the midst of this, he looked at the wolf a little confusing.
“Why should I not?” he asked about sharing food, though most of the world had lost its ‘nice people’ there were still a few left, and ironically enough; Al was not one that liked to kill.
“To answer properly-“ he eyed Osewa as he stated the last word. “-I am a spellsword, though not as good in magic as a pure mage, I close the distance in versatility…. As well as a few twists and things of my own.” He made an interesting tone at the last part of the sentence. It was true that as a hybrid between a fighter and a mage, he would never surpass any of them. But, here is the thing, he would only never surpass them if they were at his ‘level’.
Aldar has been in the war, he had several trainers, an adding his abnormal age for a human, he has also closed in the distance with experience.

“Now… Eat..” Al halfway commanded as he pushed the plank that acted as Galilahi’s plate.
“If you prefer it raw, or want some chicken, I have that as well.” He ended in a serious tone as he continued eating.

"Thank you... I am in your debt."
She started eating, while she did prefer it raw, she was never one to complain about food. She made a small bowing motion.
So... the man was a spell sword, she had fought one in the arena, had singed her fur pretty badly and given her a scar, it had been a tough fight.
"Since you told me how you fight, I believe it's only right I do the same, I am a warrior, relying on my own strength and skill."
It wasn't that she despised magic or mages... but she didn't understand it, so she tended to look down it.

Kali watched the mild flirting, keeping her focus mainly on the man known as Sirius. He was the one bringing the ghetto's into the focus of many public officials and for that reason alone she had been given her task. She pushed up her thin framed glasses and moved in his direction.

The market place was always crowded, making it easy to bump into people as the passed each other. She stepped into Sirius just as he was backing away from the produce counter. Several loafs of bread slipped out of her fingers as she made contact. She looked up into his face as she knelt to retrieve her items.

"I'm.. very sorry sir. I'm a clumsy one, its a wonder I've survived the market this long." Her loose black braid fell over one shoulder as she reached for the farthest loaf. She moved frantically, while every few seconds gazing nervously up at the man.

Osewa watched as Galilahi dug into the food. She took a small break to say that she was a warrior, relying on her strength. She didn't seem that weird to her, judging by the axe she carried with her. She looked down the window as the rain picked up fiercely.

"Seems like the storms picking up. Hopefully the rain doesn't knock this place down. I would love to investigate the place." Osewa said out loud. She had heard many rumors of ghosts haunting the place, ancient magic still locked deep within the walls. She was worried that the rain and storm might break more of the foundation and cause more possible history to fall into the folds of time.

"It would be a shame to lose more history" Osewa talked lightly.

Sirius smiled at the woman who had bumped into him and knelt down to help her pick up her fallen items. "It's quite all right" he said cheerfully, "These markets will always be the bustle and flow of traffic, goods, and accidents. Hopefully the accidents stay minor, i'd hate to see blood flow on the stones of this great place" he held a few of her dropped items and straightened up. "Where do you live? I'll help you get this stuff back to your place" he smiled at her, always willing to be helpful to people in his spare time. "And I guess, if you're still out shopping I could help you carry that around for a while"

Sirius thought she was very pretty, from her black braid, her medium build, slender curves, down to what she wore. Something about her struck Sirius as odd, but he didn't quite know what. He was sure that if he spent a little time with her he would find out. It had never occurred to him that someone might send an assassin to try and kill him, or try to frame him, because simply in his mind anyone set against him and accepting of it was a moron. It was blatantly obvious he was a Half-beast, simply from his fangs, his animal like face, and his eyes, massive hands, and the fact that he was massive in general from head to toe.

This woman seemed to make Sirius's hair stand on end, and his instincts were on high alert. His eyes narrowed slightly as he looked at her, but then he decided he was being silly and allowed himself to relax, if only slightly. He looked around the market place, noted all the odds and ends of the place, noted the locations of the guards, locations of people who seemed to be shady, then looked back down at the girl. He turned his head over to Brenda and called goodbye.

Kali stood after he sweetly helped her pick up all of her groceries. She noticed his fangs and couldn't help but give him a shy smile. They gave him a feral look that peaked her curiosity. She hadn't encountered many half-beasts, at least none that had lived up to her expectations. Yet she was ready to see what this one was capable of. But maybe it wouldn't come to that.

"Thank you very much sir. I'm done with my shopping, but please you must follow me to the tavern where I work and let me buy you a drink." She said it slowly, timidly as if she were nervous or intimidated.

Sirius smiled at her "Lead the way" he said, taking up position behind her. He would have walked ahead of her to clear the way, but he didn't know where the tavern was, plus something told him not to let this girl get behind him. "Though I must tell you I don't drink much alcohol. My body beats me up every time I do" he said truthfully. His animal side made his systems work extra hard to get anything unhealthy he ate out of his system fast and with minimal absorption. His body knew what was bad for him, even if his brain did not. His brain however was screaming at him that this woman would change things for him dramatically, and he was having trouble suppressing it. "So what is your name?" he asked kindly trying to ignore the feelings he was getting.

For some reason most people spelled his name serious and it bugged him a lot. "How much further" he asked her as his eyes took in the decaying buildings with with walls that were bowed from the bad architecture, the weight on the walls too much for the walls themselves. The neighbor hood got steadily worse as Sirius's well-adapted eyes slid left and right and marked the location, position, and stance of every person who peeked out at them from the shadows.

Kali soon stopped in front of a unattractive building, with a barely standing stable on its southern side. Despite the worn down look of the establishment, several horses were tethered in the corral. She opened the door careful not to lose the stuff in her arms once again. Inside she lead Sirius to a place at the bar and left him for a moment to put her shopping away.

In the back room, the notorious lieutenants were chuckling about something until she strode over to them.

"So Kali, what's your guess? Can he be bought?"

Kali sighed. "I get the feeling this one's not going to be bribed like the other council members. But I've got him at the bar, I'll see what else I can find out." Another fellow guild member walked through the back door and Kali didn't want to say anything else while he was going through the kitchens cupboards.

"Dysmas will most likely have to handle this himself." She stated simply. The two nodded in agreement as she moved back out to the bar where she took her place behind the counter and smiled roguishly at Sirius. "Sirius...a very strong name... I like it. So what will it be?" She gestured to the kegs and bottles stacked behind her.

Sirius's eyes scanned the building and its rickety shape. His eyebrows raised as she left the room and took a seat. He picked a seat in the middle of the bar, equally placed between the front door, and what he knew was a back entrance. She came back and asked him what he wanted to drink. He smiled and said "Oh, I don't know. Surprise me" he chuckled. Sirius seemed to be very relaxed, but inside his mind was racing. He had heard the conversation, only slightly. Only something about Council members, and bribery. All his senses were running on high alert at the moment. He did not want to be caught off guard and killed before he could make the GR project come to reality.

Sirius was barely sitting on his seat, his eyes had taken in the entire bar. From it s shabby rundown appearance, to how easily that wall would come down if he put a full force kick against it. If he had too he would fight his way out of the place and bring the Local militia back with him. He was close friends with the Military adviser of the city, mainly because the Military adviser wanted to place his men all over the city and have complete control should he need it, and the GR Project was the fastest way to do that.

Kali turned around and filled a mug with their tastiest mead and brought it back to Sirius.

"It's a hearty drink, my favorite. I'm sure you'll enjoy it and if not well... I'm sorry for you." She gave him a playful wink. Another customer waved his hand and she motioned to another waitress to get on it. She was busy with Sirius and the other girl gave her a knowing look as she moved behind the bar to help with customers.

"So tell me about yourself, are you a tradesmen?" She kept her gaze on his, attempting to gage his reactions and emotions.

"I'm the Head of Material transportation" he said, using the longer term of I have a seat on the council. "I have special ways of moving tons of materials in a short amount of time" he said, hinting subtly at something. "So, miss Kali, how did you come to work at a place like this" Sirius said, his tone suddenly very serious. His eyes turned onto her and one could tell the truth behind them. He said quietly "Do what you're going to do, and do it now. I don't have time to waste it on small talk" his voice was low.

Al was eating his own food, but his didn’t stop him from listening on what was going on around him.
The wolfgirl took the food, and she seemed to have this strange honor thing about her, feeling obligated to answer the question she asked herself.
It was strange, but interesting as there were too few that didn’t answer shit unless you tried to pry it out of them while stomping on their balls… Figuratively speaking off course.
Not to mention that it was a tad strange that she considered herself in debt for some free food.

The wolf was a fighter, this was not a hard thing to guess based on her rather skimpy attire, though her attire could have been chosen for simplicity rather then something that didn’t get in her way, and her axe sort of gave it away the most.

Osewa made a comment about rummaging around the mansion as the heavens opened and the level of rain was better described as ‘falling water’ than raindrops.
Al had the same idea, as that was indeed why he was here. Though Al didn’t really care for the history part, he just wanted to have a look around for the sake of curiosity and possible greed.
He continued eating, not really saying anything but keeping a lazy eye out and listening to what went on.

Kali gave Sirius a genuinely kind smile. "I wish I didn't have to do this, or work here. I know you have good intentions with your project and I do wish I could allow..."

Slam!

The inns door tore from its hinge and hit the floor with crash, skidding a few feet before stopping. The weather had changed from clear to grey and you could hear the fast beats of falling rain drops hitting the cobbles. Kali watched the empty doorway, shocked just by the fact that the door was gone. When three men she recognized stepped through the threshold shock turned instantly to despair and just as quickly into pure terror.

Nevertheless she composed herself quickly, pulling the mental mask back over her features. The men approached the bar, the entirety of patrons were silent. Most of them too recognized the three men. The most prominent of these men moved to the bar beside Sirius and stared furiously into Kali's eyes, as if trying to mentally burn his ire into them. He was classically handsome, dark hair, brown eyes, built and chalk full of masculinity.

Kail opened her mouth to speak but the man silenced her.

"I know you thought I would not come back. But I will not lose you to a phantom, a person that should be dead. This guild is mine and I've come to take it." Several patrons, men thought to be loyal to the king of thieves stood and blocked the doorway.

"Varis... you beast..."

It was Kali's turn to be angry, yet once again she was cut off.

"DYSMAS YOU COWARD! Quit hiding in the shadows and SHOW YOURSELF." It was a beastly roar. For some odd reason she glanced desperately at Sirius and then grabbed a full bottle of boos and threw it with all her force at one of the men standing behind Varis. It crashed and shattered against his face forehead, knocking the man to the floor in a heap.

Varis threw a threatening glance her way and she ducked under the bar, holding herself in the shadows of the counter.

Sirius noticed her glance and nodded, only slightly. He would help her, simply because she was beautiful, plus killing these men would get his point across, not to fuck with him. After this people would think four times before accepting a mission against him. Without warning Sirius stood up and brought his knee into the stomach of the man who had been standing next to him, as he doubled over he brought his elbow down and hit him in the back, effectively flattening the man to the floor. Then he spun around with a roundhouse kick and hit an un-weary man in the face, and the mans jaw breaking could be heard in the back room, as well as him crashing into the bar.

Next he ducked low to avoid a chair swung at him and used his powerful legs to push off and uppercut the man with the chair, effectively sending him crashing through the window as well as crushing his windpipe so he would suffocate to death out in the street, then Sirius spun around yet a again with a double hammer fist and sent a man crashing through a wall into the back room, unconscious with a wooden splinter the size of an arm through his leg.

Sirius saw the man out of the corner of his eye and moved himself to the left, then back ending up behind the man, catching him in the crook of his elbow and with a powerful jerk snapping his neck. He looked around the bar, all of it's other patrons quiet, and dropped the lifeless body onto the floor. His eyes met the eyes of everyone in the tavern. He uttered quietly. "Get out" and they all started to move towards the door.

OOC : This is a non Aldar post, phear nuut!
----------------------

Some of the guild members ignored the command to leave and remained, ready to defend their home front. A few began to step forward ready to face Sirius no matter the level of skill he had just shown them.

A shadowy silhouette dropped from the shady rafters above them and landed with barely a light thud behind Varis where he stood. The figure, dressed entirely in black with a raven mask covering his face, wrapped an arm around the beast of a man, a knife appeared in his hand seemingly from nowhere and pressed it to the man's throat.
A distorted voice, deep yet somehow melodic came from the mask though no movement was visible.
"Varis... You force my hand. I would have liked to see you returned to my good opinion. You have talent and I hate to see it go to such waste."
"My lord! Please! I only wished to*" Varis begged the king of thieves.
Dysmas ignored the please that escaped the man’s lips, the master thief’s blade sunk into the victim’s throat with a swift movement, elegantly the skin made way for the honed steel.
He dropped Varis to his knees where he stayed for several horrifying seconds as the crimson liquid flowed from his throat, making gurgling gasps. He managed to get one small sentence audible out before dropping to the wooden floor.

"Kali... My love..." Was the last the man spoke before his body was now nothing more than a thud on the floor.

Dysmas stood with his now blood covered knife, still in the position he'd ripped it out of his victim.
"She shall endure plenty of pain for luring you back here. I shall see to it." The distorted voice spoke before the raven beak turned towards Sirius signaling a stare.
"I WILL take care of you later." He launched himself up, almost inhumanly and caught a rafter and swung up into the shadows, vanishing instantly.

Hearing their master's last words the other thieves went back to their tables and the waitresses began to clean up the mess.

Kali slowly crept out from under the shadowy counter and stood silently, gazing upon the dead body of her former fellow thief. She moved from behind the counter, avoid close proximity to Sirius. She knelt down as everyone else continued with their drinks and the wenches pulled other bodies through the back door.

Kali swept soft fingers through his dark hair. She didn't love Varis, but she cared enough about him to have called him friend once. She felt tears of regret pooling in her eyes. Dysmas had been right to kill him she convinced herself. There could be no tolerance, no mercy, or the guild would fall apart.

Kali felt herself about to lose all composure and ran through the broken door without looking back. The rain was cold and she was soaked in only seconds as she rounded the building into the alley, putting her back to the wall. Her tears fell silently along side the drops as the fall down on her face.

Sirius stepped out of the door into the pouring rain and looked left and right. There was no one. As he turned and stalked off he looked around and noticed the woman from before. She was crying, that much his animistic eyes could see, and his senses told him that. With a sigh he strode over to her and leaned up against the wall, his hands in his jacket pockets. He let her stand there for a while, watched her in her pain. Then he pulled his hands out from his pockets and put and arm around her and began to lead her away.

He didn't say a word to her as he walked slowly up-hill to the richer part of town, walking for near an hour before he stopped in front of a brick home with a reinforced wooden door and unlocked it and pushed the woman in in front of him. "Im not going to just stand there and watch you burn. I am not so heartless as to ignore one in pain. I will listen, and you will tell me everything, and everything will be okay" he said as he sat her down in a chair.

He waved his hand and a cabinet opened up and a marble cup flew at him. He caught it and set it in front of her, pointing his finger at a clay pot, pulling it towards him with his bending and pouring milk into it. He turned around and pointed his fist at another bottle and it flew at him like a bat out of hell, and he caught it yet again and poured what appeared to be honey into the drink then set a metal spoon in front of her as well as a few sweet meats.

"Eat and drink, sugar calms the nerves, and the milk just happens to taste good" he sat down across from her, his home appearing to be made out of different types of earth ranging from metal to full-blown dirt and clay. In an odd way it seemed like a bears den.

"Aldar..." She believed that was his name... "I owe you a debt for having shared your food with me. I will repay it in whatever way I can."
It was a custom in her tribe... often food was scarce so sharing your food was a big deal. She didn't know how Aldar would react to this, she knew it wasn't the humans customs...

Al had stopped eating a few seconds ago, and was stuffing the remaining food, as well as the things he used to share it on, back into his bag in the corner where he sat.
The fire burned nicely, but to make sure it did not die in a few minutes it was fed with some more wood.
The silence had been broken a long time ago from the wind and rain that started its dance outside, but it seemed that the roof had held up nice enough to at least protect them, hopefully for the remaining of the night.

The wolf had been cleaning herself for however long she had been doing this, most likely something from the animal side of her, though the next thing she did proved to be stranger.
She stated that she owed him a debt, just for sharing food. Naturally Aldar was a tad confused but it seemed that it was something from her past, or perhaps her pride, that forced her to look at it like this.
“Well, you don’t have to repay me, it was just some food.” Al stated with little effort. Getting food in towns and Inns was far from hard due to the introduction of money eras ago. Hunters and even random travelers would often sell meat from their game as they entered a town, so there was always food to go around. Even some larger places had a breeding system to keep a steady income of meat to their shops and locale.
To Al it was nothing more than a nice gesture that required nothing more than a simple thanks, though he would not deny Gali to repay the favor as she deemed it worthy, depending on what this was off course, he still didn’t think much of it.

Thunder boomed outside the glassless window as the rain continued to dance over the building. Osewa looked over at Katil, who had fallen asleep after eating the food. Osewa sighed happily, shifting in her spot against the wall. Gali talked about owing a debt to Al, who said it was just a simple gesture. He told her that she didn't owe him, which sounded just like the guy she knew.

The castle groaned as a heavy wind whipped the side of the building, causing rain to dance inside the window. She looked out as the wind picked up again, as the rain poured down heavily. She was slightly worried, mainly because the room was on the 2 floor, and if it decided to drop on them, they would be in for a world of trouble. She raised her knees and wrapped her arms around them. She disliked heavy storms, they made her sad some what. Most heavy storms knocked out a lot of the trees and destroyed forest life with ease. She helped clear a lot of debris, yet the loss still made her sad.

"So, whats the plan now, besides waiting out the storm?

Galilahi shook her head.
"In my tribe, an offering of food was a very generous gesture. Food was hard to come by, and sharing it with someone else put that someone in your debt. It may sound... outlandish to you, but it is my custom. Until I have paid my debt to you, I offer you my life and my axe."
She realized that it really had to seem like a weird thing to him, but the traditions of her tribe and the memories were all that was left of her old life.

She was right, it did sound outlandish to him, though her reasoning was somewhat justified. If there is little to no food where you grow up, being offered your fill might make a sense of debt to form, however strange this would seem to the outside world.
The wind had picked up, it seemed as there might be a weak storm alongside the rain, thunder had made its appearance with its signature drumming crackle and flashing light of the lightning that struck a mountain or some trees in the distance. The remaining of the window frames and glass shook from the roar of the skies, the flash of the lightning made for interesting shadows to form in the split second of its existence.

“Well, I’ll welcome your company, but in my eyes you do not owe me anything.” Al both accepted and sort of rejected the facts.
It almost seemed like Gali were planning to possibly give her life for him, which was a tad much to do for someone that just gave you food…. Not to mention were immortal from before.

It was too dark to go loafing around now, and the winds & weather made loafing around not as safe as it should me, so the smartest thing was to wait till the upcoming day.
Al lied down on a slightly padded piece of leather that worked as a bed-thing, at least it was softer than the stone floor he was lying on.
Lobbing a few more pieces of wood in the fire, it should live though the night with this in it, as well as the possibility of the broken bed and chairs would work for more food to the crackling source of light and warmth in the room.
“You may do as you wish, but I'm turning in for the night~” He stated with a slightly playful tone to the others as he tried his best to sleep.
