It was the Year 2420, Humanity was once a unified species under the Terran Federation, but now humanity once again is splintered. a civil war waged between the federation forces and various splinter factions from within that have rose in rebellion.
For Seven bloody years, the war was costly to all sides. the federation and two other dominant factions could no longer fight and signed a Non-aggression pact to put an end to the civil war. an uneasy peace followed for many years to come, in this timespan, the once again divided humans soon had made contact with various alien civilizations. and secretly, all three groups attempt to forge alliances with some of the aliens, and while some attempts were successful, most of the aliens rejected.
The year is now 2522, tensions rise between the human powers and war is once again on the horizon. meanwhile, outside human-controlled space, the alien races face their own coming wars. soon nowhere in the galaxy will be safe from the fires of war...

The Terran Federation has fallen a long way since its golden era in the 2400's. Formally a Democracy under the rule the President, elected by the people of the Federation, the Terran Federation has since fallen to the charismatic wiles of the war hero, Christopher Almedias. Despite being elected by the people, General Almedias has increasingly turned the democratic Federation in to a military state, ruled by Almedias's Lieutenants. In the last 10 years any attempt to remove the General by vote, assassination, or otherwise have met with failure, and the mad General has become obsessed with returned the Federation to its rightful place, as the leader of all humans.

Here is mine, I noticed the irony of the abreviation of my factions name AFTER I wrote it, so it wasn't deliberate.
Nation Name: United Systems Alliance (USA)
Government Type: A combination of the Volarian Republic and Atlanian Empire and the Free Jaffa Nation.
Race(s): Atlanians and Volarians and Jaffa (All look human, but with slight differences)
Brief History: The Alliance has only been around for 3 years, before that the Volarian Republic was at war with their neighbors, the Valian Federation, who are now annexed under them. At the time both sides fought across Imperial worlds, causing the Empire to fight back against both of them. The Empire brokered a peace between the Valians and Volarians, although the Volarians had all but won the war against the Valians anyway. They then brokered a peace with each other, the Empire had their long standing allies, the Talin Hul as a separate autonomous faction inside the Empire. After the alliance was brokered peace has rained across the Alliance for these past three years. Unfortunately the Emipre is now facing a rebellion.

Government Type: Pure Democracy, except in war. It is then a High Council.

Brief History: The Colonial Alliance was formed from the farthest colonies from Earth. None of these colonies had any love or loyalty to Earth, as they never recieved any help or gratitude for their labours in its name. Finally, the colonies had had enough, and attempted to break away from Earth, twenty seven planets in all. Thirteen of these were production based, while ten were population centers, and a futher seven were food planets. This sparked the origin of the civil war between Earth and the C.A. Even with the current peace agreement, the C.A. doesn't trust anyone but themselves.

Brief Hisory: The Sternreich used to be part of the Terran Federation, and they were some of the most devout and loyal citizens that the Federation had ever seen. When the tensions started to rise and the union started to splinter, a leader rose and opened the eyes of the people, showing them that the Federation was weak, that they, the people, were so much stronger. Not long after, system after system started to break away from the Federation, forming an empire that was aptly named the Sternreich. They quickly became a military power to be reckoned with; and with a shoot-to-kill order on anyone that trespasses in to their territory. The translation for Schutzstaffel is "Shield Squadron". They are chosen at a very young age, usually around 5-10 years old and entered in to the Krieg War Academy. The planet of Krieg is a very hostile planet, classified as a "Death World", deemed unsuitable for life. The Schutzstaffel, also called the SS or Death Corps of Krieg, train on that hostile world, which is at the heart of an equally dangerous solar system full of feral and tribal class worlds. The Krieg academy indoctrinates its candidates to the point of being nearly robotic. They are trained to have no emotion, and they are taught that anyone that is not part of the Sternreich, is a dog, and anyone that is not of the human race, is a cancer that must be cut from the face of the galaxy. The Schutzstaffel consists of 800,000 members, 200,000 of the most elite are the Fuhrer's personal guard. They have committed countless war crimes and crimes against humanity, but as it was earlier stated, they are indoctrinated beyond belief. They have the best of the best that the armory has to offer, and there are even rumors of genetic alteration and modification, making them, as the Fuhrer says, "perfect. The pinnicle of humanity."

Gedie - a humanoid species with larger, more robust forms and skin tones varying from light and dark extremes. Cybernetic modification is very common.
Travin - a humanoid species with more slender frames, pale skin, black teeth, and varying eye colors
Brief History: The Gedie and Travin both come from the same section of galactic space. For generations, they were locked in a bitter and stubborn war of attrition as the Travin refused to allow Gedie to open trade routes through their space. After years of fighting and getting nowhere, a peace treaty was reached and the Travin and all their territories became a full part of the Gedie Trade Empire. With both species being very adept with technology, their combined intellect gave the new Gedie-Travin Trade Empire the power to be the largest maker and distributor of industrial goods throughout the entire galaxy. With their unusually strong military, the Trade Empire is preparing for something big while at the same time dealing with a rising rebellion that may break out into civil war within the Empire.

Government Type: heirarchy

Nargacurran- The top of the heirarchy. These are the lords, embroidered with the near purple reflections of the sun on black fur. They are intelectuals and scholors. Rialtnia- middle upper class, they are soldiers, pilots, and engineers. Many of the solidiers are much like some of the predator dinosaurs including raptors and compai(those small ones that you see in jurrasic park that killed the fat guy.) *Note their armor is quite durable with some natural armor.
There are ranged, but they like to shhot poison at your eyes and have their colorful frill.
Chitenous- middle class. These are your various doctors. resembling a large insect based on it's born specialty. in example say a spider may be present to seal a large gash. Or a beetle to aputate.
Scrimneang- middle lower class, they are workers civillians and farmers.
Many of these represent the largest variety. You have the minority of humans, and former slaves. Krins- lower class, these are prisoners and some civillians. These can be basicly anything you can think of. They do not segregate, though respecting customs and the laws is a must.
Brief History: While they formerly had no plans of going off world, planetary conditions made it a necessity. The heirarchy was in order, working order. while it was simple, it was much like the midevil era. The first new colony was supposidly to be a temporary settlement for a few years. Only it soon became the first expansion.
King Selena was one of the first few kings, forming a multi unified nation. the law was simple either you are allies or enemies, either way it paved a golden age that lasted ten years.
Now the incendians are searching for new allies, new worlds. But alliances are written in blood, and breaking that alliance is not forgotten or taken easily.

Armor: all organic.
Sheilding: superior.(hard to say, this is sorta just thrown in)
Things to note: the ship is alive, with the 'ai' being the actual being. There are a few tendrils that are about, and the purple tube things are not to be poked unless you want a bruise. There is electronics that are up and running, using a converted form of elecrical energy form the beings body to power it.
Weapons:
Caustic Cannon: Large 'cannon' spits out a pressuried spray of caustic acid that is used to deteriorate the hull, as well as make it more vulnerable for the acid spikes.
Acid Spikes small: These are strong chiten/ bone projectiles that leave through small pores or flaps. They are meant to hail an opening for the large acid spikes to do the real damage. *note, most of the acid is inside the spike. metal vs chiten. metal wins. Acid beats metal*
Acid spikes Large: These are not as numerous, nor fire as fast as the smaller acid spikes. they instead are formulated to be hader, and be shot harder to inflict greater damage. (much like your heavy turrets)
They act like the small acid spikes but pack a much lager punch.
Infection tendril: If the ships get close enough to each other, several tendrils almost suction onto the other ship to pull it closer. What happens is that this sets up almost needle like tendrils to rip into the other ship and spread like a disease to the ship, almost taking it over in a sense as the dauntless works its way to control the mainframe of the ship. This is the only one that can do it.
(you have been warned, docking is a bad idea. though hope you are diplomatic to the cure.)
Resistances: The ship is near immune to caustic attacks, and the Incendian sheilding it was given resists explosive and normal projectiles. thoughmlike all sheilds, it can still fail. as well as for this new model, it can be strengthened by sacricing say engines or using reserve power.
Weaknesses: I will put them up at a announced time. As I know once I put them here, some of you will be like" Ha, I have a ton of weapons that do this type of damage to completly decimate this ship.
Crew: about 10k
passenger space: anywhere between 8k and 15k. (the crew isn;t that large and some are just there for potential colonization and practicly living on the ship. Though they are still combat able and aren't your civillians)
Cargo: roughly anything that can fit in the 600m by 700m by 500 height room.
I may add more as the time comes. unsure as of yet on what else.
*I put the ships details in for a reason. most homes and structures are living as well, and the ships are all living. If you don't like it, I have it up, can't call it chap when I decide to grapple your ship and spread into it. or if I have acid that melts your hull. This is the ship, and the weapons and stuff is different than yours should ever be. I wasnted unique ships, so they can still breathe. Adir is also a very cold, almost icy planet, with the warmest areas being below the water's surface. They are usually 8 feet tall, thin race, with elongated limbs and tall, thin faces. Adiri are somewhat human-like, with pale blue or green skin. Eyes have white pupils and irises surrounded by black. Mouths are simply slits, only used for vocalisation and eating, as they breathe through 3 gill slits on either side of their neck. Hands have three fingers and one thumb, and feet are digitigrade (walk on toes.) Adiri are very deliberate and often have to think a long time to decide on something. They are also very intellectual, preffering technology over brute force. Even their actions are slow and careful. Even so, this deliberation can be altered, as many Adiri nowadays are much quicker than their ancestors. Adiri can live for 300 years on average. The Adiri's government is a type of Republic, with a counil deciding on any legislation. Some decisions can take up to 20 years to reach a consensus.

Vaersk: Almost as tall as Adiri, but much, much larger. Vaersk are natives to a dry, harsh world, Zerok, with oceans covering almost half the planet, but most of the land mass is harsh desert or scrubland, with little water or food. This has caused the Vaersk to be generally nomadic, moving from place to plaace in search of food and water. Alternately, once they claim something, they become fiercly territorial. They are slo mostly nocturnal, as their planet's surface is almost too hot to traverse during the day. At a glance, they have somewhat reptillian features, but at a closer look, they look very different. They have two sets of eyes, one capable of seeing a normal light spectrum, the other see a form of night vision/ thermal imaging. They actually have three jaws, one on top, two on the bottom, which split down the middle. They halso don't have tails, and have two fingers and two thumbs, one on either side of their hands. They are also digitigrades. Less intelligent than the Adiri, the Vaersk are firece warriors and negotiators, and have lightning quick reflexes. The have a life span of around 130 years. Their government is more of a U.N type institution, with delegates from each nation meeting to decide for the good of ther nations, the Vaersk, and the Confederacy.
Brief History: The Confederacy began when the Adiri first found Zerok, which was actually in their own solar system. The Vaersk were only 30 years behind the Adiri, and so the only barrier was language, with the Vaersk speaking a very harsh, guttural language and the Adiri speaking more in clicks attuned for underwater. After that barrier was broken, great prosperity followed. The Vaersk were split into 5 major nations still, while the Adiri were unified. It wasn't until 200 years after their first contact when the Adiri proposed the Adir-Zerok Confederacy, with the five Vaersk nations and the one Adiri nation joining under one banner. They agreed and an age of prosperity and expansion soon followed.

Zzaia S-1 AMR (Anti Material Rifle)
A large, very powerful sniper rifle, which uses miniaturized magenetic rail technology. Almost 12 feet long, it separates into 5 pieces to be carried by a team. It fires from a 4 round clip, loaded with 20mm rounds in sabot casings. It is easily able to put a round through up to 15 inches of steel, and then through several people. Explosive rounds are usable, but not often used.

the only reanged I got planne is the ones that decide it is fun to shoot acid/poisons in your eyes, then start eating you. (least battlefield would be somewhat cleened up.)

They are simple, devoted to their society, warm-hearted and kind. however they easily don't forgive enemies who threaten their existence. when the Imperium came to their homeworld of Kasara, the kasar, like the mal'krin, resisted the imperium. however, unlike the mal'krin, the kasar had the aid of technology to hold out for five years before the imperium proved too much for the kasar. in the end, they submitted to Imperial Rule. many years until today, the kasar grew accustomed to their new rulers and now display their loyalty through military service.

The Gurab Mech was once a civilian mech, usually used by construction workers. however, in the invasion of Kasara, the gurab proved to be useful in close-combat, tearing enemy troops with it's size and claws. the gurab were soon converted for military use. they were upgraded with a hover system, capable of flying and are suitable for any battlefield.
In the final year of the Kasara War. a new variant of the Gurab, the "Shock Trooper" emerged. outfitted with two powerful plasma cannons attached to the main body above the shoulders. the Gurab soon became a common sight in the military.

Reminiscent of a jungle animal on Fedori Prime, The Chall can carry up to 112 battle drones complete with their blaster rifles and blast shields. it can deploy drones in standing and battle-ready positions, four units at a time. the chall can also carry fifteen organic soldiers in the rear.

The Joro Heavy Tank is the most powerful armored vehicle in imperial service. the Joro resembles very much like the Chall, although it is about half the size of the Chall. The joro heavy tank is armed with two turret-mounted twin blasters located on the outside in the middle of the craft and two blaster cannons at the front. Concealed under a retractable section of its armor platings are the vehicle's main weapons: a set of twin warhead launchers capable of easily obliterating the heaviest of vehicles. while powerful, the tank is but in few number, around up to a dozen, not enough to become a threat in large-scale invasions.

The Meltra is roughly equivalent to a Dropship or Gunship in terms of function and performance. the meltra is a dedicated troop carrier/gunship with superior maneuverability and firepower. they fly into combat zones and can drop large groups of soldiers while providing suppressing fire with it's three plasma turrets.

Government Type: Democracy
Race(s): Roughly humanoid. The only idfference is an enlarged head, and skin that shifts colors. Like a chameleon. Due to genetic tampering, this also steralizes the person with it.
Sentinals: The warrior class, they are enrolled in the military at the age of 12, and live thier entire lives within it. The only way out is to die, or grow to old to fight. They are the only ones allowed to have Chameleon skin.
Thinkers: The scientists, most Atlantians are thinkers, of one kind or another.
Citizens: The ordinary working class. They live thier lives without leaving the planet.
Travelers: Scouts, and traders. They travel the galaxy, scouting and trading as they go.
Brief History: Although many humans stories have been made about Atlantis, most were false. Atlantis did exist on earth for a short time, a mere 100 years. However after seeing how corupt humanity was, the Atlantians moved thier cityship to another planet. Once they arrived, they devoted the majority of thier time to the study of Physics and Genetics. With only a small portion of thinkers working on military designs and weapons.
They have a special BioSteel mixture used on thier ships. It is made up of a steel outer layer, and organic/steel mixed inner layer. This allows the ship to essentially repair itself, albiet slowly. However, they have only low grade weapons, and no shielding to speak of. (trying to balance it out :) )

Description: Intended for command and control, these ships have multiple heavy weapons and can hold thier own against any ship. It has replicators, and uses recycled air. However it has suprisingly large rooms for the crew, as it is also used as a Diplomatic Envoy if needed.
Crew: Over 1,500 people.
Specs: 2,000 feet in length. It has the ability to cloak, but only for a short time. Metal/Organic Mix armor. Small shielding for engines, weapons, command bridge. 2 large turbolasers for taking out other Battleships placed on top on the ship, can rotate 360degrees. 21 Medium Turbolasers up to 50degree rotation can cover the whole ship, for Frigates and Cruisers. 24 Automated Small turrets for fighter/bombers minor, 45 degree rotation.
Hangar: Small hangar, but still deadly. Carries 15 fighters, and 2 bombers. It can also eliminate those, and have 5 Landing craft, with 2 Ground vehicles, and multitude of soldiers.
Frigate

Description: Made as an escort ship, the Frigate does not do well on its own. It is undermanned, and if it was alone, severly outgunned. Has replicators and uses recycled air.
Crew: 500 people
Specs: 750 feet overall length. Metal/Organic Armor. No shielding. 2 Medium Turbolasers in the front, they CANNOT rotate, but must be fired forward only. Has 4 small automated turrets, 1 on each side, and 2 in the back that can rotate roughly 150 degrees sideways. 20 degrees, up and down. Can cloak.

Description: Made to fight on it's own, or in groups, this ship is slightly larger, and has a small hangar. Has replicators, and uses a combination of recycled air, and a greenhouse with plants.
Crew: 1000 people
Specs: 1,500 feet in length. Has Metal/Organic mix, armor. And extremly minor shielding on the command bridge. 20 medium Turbolasers, 100 degree rotation side/side, and 30 degree up/down. 5 small auto turrets. Can cloak for long periods of time.
Hangar: Up to 15 fighter/bombers max. Thats total, not 15 each.

The Autayni Clan is the "liability authority" of a Saiv colony that ventured closer to human space. The state functions to protect Saiv persons since most have joined alien civilisations, though is technically capable of declaring hostilities. They've settled in a number of alien systems including Gamel, Halway, Fortway and Daaste, and their population was believed to number 111,000 since their arrival in 2444 A.D. Osstarm (named Istrahm by the Saiv) in the Halway system is the only planet where the Saiv predominate as a population; from the main city of Castaphon, the elite league of Watchers govern the planet and represent the Clan diplomatically. Valliat Va is the Judge Watcher of the league and dictates their policy.
Scarcely seen in plain daylight, Saiv are reported to be nigh-identical to humans in appearance, suggesting a common ancestry. The pupil is indistinguishable from the iris in the eye, forming a solid circle of color, most often pale brown, grey or pale violet. They have been known to outmatch humans in terms of agility and spatial awareness. Their adopted homeworld is Osstarm but their original homeworld is unstated.
Since the Autayni Clan has authority only over Osstarm and a few other nearby bodies, their martial power is limited. The Clan suitably tries to avoid conflict outside the Halway system and remain neutral during wartime. But time and time again, agents or starships of the Clan become aggressive with other factions for inexplicable reasons, and people are beginning to distrust them.

I know my Atlantian empire has only about 10 systems....all extremly close together......thats how they "hid" for so long....... :) obviously they would have to be out on the edge of the map somewhere near Riech space ......lol but on the edge of the map :)

I have 26 star systems. stormwolf has eight, and not sure for hig, but he stats he has 27 planets. you could ask him how many systems that would be.
As for everyone else. you may have to ask them each how many star systems they control.

there are about 15 systems in the Volarian Republic, one of the groups that makes up the United Systems Alliance, and the Atlanian Empire, the other group, has 15, so 30 all up. Of course with how my thing with Shifty is going that might be taken down to 22 in total, that's 12 each. I could try and do up a map if people want to tell me where in the galaxy they want to be, other then the Terran Federation of course.
Hmmm Terran Fed would probably have around 10 or so systems, with about 11 planets, 5 moons inhabited

Actually Stormwolf I'll be the first to go, my faction is surrendering to Shifty's, they aren't going to be a faction like they used to. Of course it'll be up to Shifty as to weather or not it means I have been defeated, but from what I've learnt about being anaxed is you are no longer a seperate faction, you have lost everything and you are pretty much gone.

The Autayni Clan owns part of the Halway system as part of a terraforming deal, which counts as their only territory. It surmounts to the planet Istrahm (including it's two moons), the planet Vaelsa and the asteroid belt between Vaelsa and the Halway star. Every Saiv seen outside that territory is a migrant living in another empire.

The Trade Empire claims ownership of what they call The Pendulum. It is actually a collection of around 38 star systems all relatively close to one another and mapped out in the shape of a stationary pendulum. Most of the planets are only home to mining and factory communities to get the resources to build all their military and non-military export goods.

The Trade Empire views any foreign tech as inferior and are generally right. They only sell goods made by the Empire and have attained a trade monopoly because of it. They'll sell whatever they have on the market at whatever price they deem fair to whomever is within their trade routes or whichever regular clients are demanding.

Many Gedie and Travin have made transition from organic to full synthetic bodies. Hellstrom is a prime example. And they have nanomachine colonies that can increase metabolic rate to heal injuries faster if one doesn't wish to give up his organic form.
