The greats; AC/DC, Van Halen, Guns n Roses, Kiss, and the list goes on. All of these bands started from nothing but eventually they became something. They even became more than something. These bands became rock icons, legends in there time and beyond. Their influence and passion would even help to inspire others to try to reach for the top as well. Though many fail along the way there are a certain feel that do rise to the top, that do become rich and famous, that do become rock icons. Will this be the case for an ordinary group of high schoolers who have never even really talked to each other before? I guess we will just have to find out.

Rules:

1. Follow all RPA rules.
2. I am the GM what I say goes.
3. If you read the rules put RR at the top of your character sheet.
4. This RP is rated Pg-16 for langue and other band antics that may occur
5. Romance is allowed but don’t let it get in the way of the rock!
6. No god-modding!
7. Try to post at least once a day.
8. Try to make you post at least a paragraph.
9. Failure to follow rules will result in the booting of the player by the GM.

Instrument: None, he is the singer.
Bio: Living home alone for the most part Mark is an only child and only has one parent. When he was him and his mother were out running errands when they were involved in a car accident. Mark was fine, with the exception of three scars which he received on his left cheek. His mother, however, was not as lucky. After his mother died his father started working double shifts to help support the two of them. Because of this Mark seldom ever gets the chance to see his old man. Because of this Mark found his love for music, so much so that it became his dream to someday become a rock legend. Now that his senior year has started and the rest of his life is staring him in the face he is going to do whatever it takes to make is dream a reality.

@Shadow: That would be awesome. However, I must tell you that if you do plan on being the manager it will be a little while before you can post. This reason for this is because at the beginning Mark will be looking for the other band members and it won't be until after all the members are present that he will start looking for a manager...however, I just now thought of something.

You, or whoever is going to end up being the manager, could come up and be like, "I heard you're making a band. If you ever need a manager I'm you guy. here's my card." That way you could at least introdce your character.

But that's just an idea. It would be your call on how your introduced your character.

Or maybe one of your character's friends who suck at playing instruments, but excels at band managing stuff? Accounting, 15% of your profits, setting up gigs, 15% of your profits, making sure things go right in preparation, and 15% of your profits.

Bio:The son of a drifting busker(street musician) father and classically trained Juilliard mother. Jason was moved to the area at a young age with his mother when his parents split from his father's "non-commitment".

Though his upper-middle class lifestyle and his mother's social status brought to Jason a high social status. Inside school he is an outcast and likes it. He thinks it brings him closer to his father besides playing his father's favored instrument, the guitar.

His mother had planned his life out all the way to Juillard and for him to become a talented violinist like herself, but he will fight her with every breath he has. Though he would not mind becoming classically trained in Julliard, he would prefer to learn on an intrument of his choice. The guitar is a tough sell to his mother because of her stance against any non-classical orgestra instruments. The stance leaves Jason no choice but to self teach himself the intricaces of the guitar in garage band flings while being tutored in the classical violin by high priced struts.

Through his his belief of music karma, if he feels a gunky aura on a gig, he will run from the stage and not look back. It has to feel right from him to play. The attitude gives him a reputation of a flake amongst the amateur band circuit. He is also blamed for the band's bad performance.

Name: Adam Johansen
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Year: Junior
Appearance: Adam has black hair that he puts up into a mini-mohawk most of the time. He also has side-bangs that go to the right. He often wears a very thin line of black eyeliner, and a metal tooth necklace. He normally wears band t-shirts and dark coloured jeans. He normally wears black, beat-up military boots that are unlaced. He often carries his acoustic guitar with him.
Instrument: Rhythm Guitar/Background Singer
Bio: Adam tends to stay away from home, as his mother is abusive and his father is a drunk. Its been like that most of his life and he's always had to do everything himself. When he turned 11, his dad started dealing in drugs and was arrested a year later. He died while in prison. His mom orders him around while he's at home, which is the reason he never gets his homework done. Adam just barely passes every year. He often goes to school with a few bruises on his legs or chest.
Personality: Adam is quiet. He doesn't talk much and only speaks when spoken to. He is very kind though.

I hope this is okay. :) Just one thing, I'm going to be away all day tomorrow at an anime con and from Sunday through next Friday at a camp.

But to tide you over until I'm finished, he has shoulder-length brown hair, green eyes, generally wears either plain-colored shirts or band tees, and wears loose-fitting jeans, due to his gaunt figure.
Instrument: Drums
Bio: Because he has always been fairly tall, William drew quite a bit of attention to himself, whether or not it was his intention. Though throughout his childhood, many had teased him for it, he rebounded with age and became social, due to the fact that by appearance alone, people would notice him anyway. To be polite, he is rather obnoxious, and has an odd fetish with drawing stick figures of women swooning over himself. He is also known for creating poorly-constructed stick-figure caricatures of teachers and other students, on top of being known for his deep love for the band Van Halen. Despite his personal development, he is still rather self-conscious about his height; it is one of the only things that will bother him if mentioned. Overall, his childhood was fairly normal and decent, providing nothing out of the ordinary regarding his home life.

Bio: Selene come from a normal lower middle class family. Her younger brother is annoying, and her older brother and dad are over protective. Len found her love of music early on, but she keeps it hidden. She doesn't want to find out if she's not good. Len also has a hidden liking for the fantastical that only show in her doodles and the books she reads. She has no favorite type of music, she just hates rap and doesn't really take to R&B. Other than that, she's a regular nerd; loves to read, gets good grades, never puts a foot out of line. Most of it's just a cover, though. Sometimes she writes lyrics, but she can never write music for them. Her bass guitar is her best friend.

I need to fix this a bit, add more depth to the bio... I just can't think of anything at the moment.

Bio: She is from Ukraine, well her family is originally, she was born in the US though, along with her twin sister Tamara. When she was 9 she was in a car accident with her mum. They both survived, but Tamika was traumatized by this and became mute. Her mum was paralyzed from the waist down. She is protected by her twin, since people tease her because she doesn't speak.

Hey guys, sorry for my slight absense. This weekend has been a little busy what with a friends coming over and work. However I must say that The Expendables is probably my favorite action movie now and I'm also getting this grow hatred for Red Dead Redemption.

Haha wow I didn't actually catch that until I went back and read it again. But one of my friends was actually 16 at the beginning of his senior year as well. It all depends on what age you were when your parents put you in school....or whether or not you we moved ahead or held back a grade. Speaking of which I actually knew a guy that was like 12 and he was a senior in high school.....dear god he was smart.

Job: Band Management and coordinator.

Bio: Edward was born abroad, in England. He grew up with early rock, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, etc. He was apart of the hippie movement in England and when he moved to America. When all that nonsense was over, he began helping struggling musicians with getting their music out their. He was a small, yet important person in many of the greatest bands rising to fame and coke and hooker and then death.

That made a small fortune, but did not go past 60,000 dollars. He retired on this money. He still helps some people with their band, but only giving them tips and hints on how to manage themselves. when his Nephew, Mark, said he was starting a band, Edward said that if they ever need a manager, to call him. Apparently, he took him up on this offer.
