The Final Hunt:
Rated [M] for scenes of possible violence, gore, coarse language, sexual situations and religious content amongst other things.
The Rules for this roleplay will be different to that of the average game – As such, I have included them at the top of the thread and encourage that they be read prior to reading the plot.
I am looking for dedicated role-players who wish to see a game to its end. Players who are more interested in unique characters than powerful characters and who enjoy expanding on the depths of the person they’ve created.
1. Rules are not here for fun, they are here to be read. I say this because I know some people will be tempted to skim-read and I urge you not to.
2. Standard RPA rules apply.
3. This roleplay will require advanced role-players – Ones that enjoy writing description and well as developing characters and who do not mind writing lengthy posts. This is related to Rule 4. Good grammar / spelling please and there will be a eight-paragraph, or equivilent length, minimum per post. A paragraph is equal to a minimum of five complex sentences. I encourage more and also highly encourage co-ops if your character is interacting with others.
4a. Your character will die. In addition, you only have a maximum of seven posts before your character must die – Your seventh post will include your character’s death scene. In regards to co-ops, if your contribution is of a substantial amount (to the point that it provides a similar length and content to a normal post) then this will included in your post count.
4b. Just because your character is dying in such a short space of time does not mean I am discouraging character development – I am actually encouraging it. The entire point of this roleplay is to create, develop and explore an epic character within a limited time. It may be a challenge but that’s the fun~
5. Keep general good roleplaying etiquette i.e. No god-modding/power-playing/Mary-sues.
6. This roleplay does not need to progress at an incredibly fast pace but you should be aiming for one post per week minimum. If on a particular week you cannot achieve this, I will not mind as long as you inform me prior to your absence. Otherwise, you will most likely return to a dead character.
7. As hinted, if you go inactive, I will kill your character and I reserve the right to take control of your character in order to do this.
8. One character per person.
9. If you have any questions about the roleplay, feel free to ask.
10. You are supposed to enjoy roleplaying so please create a character you are comfortable with and will enjoy developing.
You awake, naked and stripped of all possession.
There is no one in sight but you can sense others nearby; smell their fear.
You recall nothing of your past. Your memories come back in flashes as you look around your environment, jumbled and blurred as your mind attempts to recollect your identity.
You are embedded with a deep sense of dread and the vague realisation that you are being hunted, although by what you do not know.
You find yourself underground in a circular cavern that measures roughly 8 kilometres across.

Messengers for the Dämon that spend a lot of time spying on their master’s prey. Although they do not attack unless provoked, humans experience more vivid flashbacks in their presence and find that the memories seen often revolve around death and despair.

Although they are unable to hear or smell, Ares Hounds are able to see around corners for distances of up to 2 miles. They are known for never losing a trail once they have caught sight of their prey, done by relying on a sense superior to the five humans are limited to. Their saliva decays flesh and ignites human blood.

Best known as mounts for the Dämon, they also have the ability to dissipate into shadow at will. Although they possess similar strength to that of a bear, they prefer to attack by entering the human in their dispersed form and rotting them from the inside out in an excruciatingly painful manner.

Creatures that enslave and hunt inferior species for entertainment purposes. When one meets their gaze, they are unable to move and the stinger on their tail contains a paralysing agent that shuts down its victims organs in a matter of minutes. It is not known how to cause them harm.
