I was just sitting there and making random avi&sig sets that I might/might not ever use, then I thought, why not make sets for other peoples and open up a request shop?
But............ I dunno. I suck at actually making them, but I enjoy the whole process of making them. Like finding the perfect picture and choosing designs and fonts and colors and etcetc. But maybe some other people might like my work? :/

Some I made today:

note: i've never taken any lessons or know anything about graphic designing whatsoever. i just saw avi and signature sets, and thought, 'hey, can i do this?' then i found this picture editing site. then found pictures. then found quotes. so.. :|

What do you think? Should I open a request shop? Does my work suck a lot or just a little? Any advice you can give me?

It looks like decent enough stuff to me! My only comments are that with that second one, the text is a bit hard to read (I can't make out that last sentence at all)... but there is a school of graphics design that believes legibility isn't important at all, so feel free to ignore me entirely! XD

They're nice, the first is my fav. Esepcially with the colour of the clock coming through, looks really good. You should experiment with GIMP or some such. *nods*

Except for the second one being nigh impossible to read, and the third one being kind of blurry, I can't really see much problems with them. I agree with Lyllea that you should download GIMP and experiment a bit, it's free, so it's a good program to start out with if you don't want to pay anything (or download illegal stuff).

Lyllea: Oh. XD That says, "Let freedom never perish in your hands". Haha, sorry 'bout that. >< But thank you. <3

Insanity: Yeah, sorry about the second one. xD The third picture itself was supposed to be like that... So.. And thanks for the advice, I'll be sure to check out GIMP. :)

Good stuff. Can't really say anything that hasn't already been said though.

Haha thanks nonetheless.
So, what do you guys think? Should I make the request shop?

It's a good excuse to get practice. I say yes.

Oooo You're getting GIMP? I've used it for the past few years now. Let me know if you want any help! (it can be very confusing at first)

I just downloaded it a few hours ago. xD
It IS confusing. Haha.. I tried it, then just quit and went back to Picnik. xD
I think I'll be needing that help with GIMP.

Don't be afraid to ask! I know I was helplessly lost when I first started (I probably annoyed my GIMP "mentor" to death with all the questions I asked.) But once you get it, it's an awesome piece of software with limitless possibilities ;)
