Here at RPA, there are those among is who dare to bring our characters to life... By cosplay! Be it your original character, favorite super hero, best costume ever sewn on earth, here is the thread for all things Cosplay.
To be discussed here: in progress pictures, any sewing/creation questions, finished cosplays, sharing of beautiful RPA people in beautiful cosplays, cons attending, really anything as long as one of our own is involved!
Well, to begin I am currently working on two cosplays for the upcoming Metrocon, though it is likely only one will be done in time. The current project will my Terra from DC, but done in the "Team Titians" style, as it will be a group cosplay including a Slade Robin and Raven. Quite fun. The next project is yet to be disclosed, but will be my absolute love-project from my favorite Marvel Character.
Start sharing your stuff, people! :hugs:

Me and my sister are planing to do the winter solder and Capt. One I'm currently working on to get done in time for Star Wars Celebration 2015 is Luke Skywalker from Return of the Jedi. It would be the costume he wears when he's in Jabba the hut's palace. One I want to do on my own is Alucard from Hellsing.

Any pictures? The Luke sounds awesome. You'll need an awesome lightsaber to match.
Do you mean the Disney Celebration?

I only have done so far Harley so. In Anaheim in 2015 the Star Wars Celebration will be there so no it's not D-23. As for my Luke I only have the cloak made and boots bought. I won't have a light saber on me since at that point in the film he doesn't have it (R2 does).

I can't wait to make more costumes
I would love to do a cosplay some time. I'm clueless as to even how to begin though. I'm not much for sewing or making my own costumes.

It's okay. There are some cosplays were you can just do the costume from clothes you already have. Those are usually a good place to start to get comfortable with cosplay
Hmm. I will try to give it a go then. Thanks for the suggestion. :)

You're welcome. I'm always glad to help people out with cosplays. It is really fun to do. Cosplay is all about having fun and celebrating the character you are dressing on

Ohh exciting a Cosplay thread!
My first cosplay and only cosplay so far is Elizabeth from Bioshock Infinite. Sadly I do not have any sewing skills so I did buy this online as well as the wig and necklace. I'm not really into the making side of cosplaying, I wish I was but I don't have the time to spare to make costumes. Maybe some time in the future I will but at the moment I am happy with paying someone else to make me something beautiful to wear.
If anyone would like any links to anything like my costume, wig, necklace etc please let me know and I'll be more than happy to share!

Future Plans: At the moment I am in a work in progress for Princess Zelda from The Legend of Zelda, more specifically Zelda from Skyward Sword. I have the wig and the ears and my dress will arrive any day now! The boots and tights I will buy in town another day. The cosplay is for the local expo next year but my friend is having a dress up for her birthday in a few weeks so I will be wearing it there too.
For Halloween I am planning on going as a Little Sister from Bioshock but I think that project will be on the cheaper side. I've spent quite a bit for Zelda so I want to do something small for Halloween. I think I may put this one together myself, look around the opshops for something and piece something together myself. That will be quite different for me and I think it will be great fun :D
I've always been a big fan of dress ups but I am very new to the cosplaying world. I'm excited to see more costumes/cosplays on this thread!

Because of being so short I'm always told I should dress up as a Jawa from Star Wars. I haven't actually done it though since there's no conventions near or anything. I suppose I could theoretically do it for Halloween or something.

I have a local convention next weekend and am amidst a Mami Tomoe from Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Ponta ball gown(ish) Gajinka and Margaery Tyrell from GoT. The last is also for a friends GoT party in November. Will post pictures when they're done.
Also that's a lovely Elizabeth! Where was your wig from?

If anyone needs some help with sewing and stuff my BF's mom made my Tycho COSPLAY for Anime Boston next year. I can't wait for my boots to come in the mail! She also does LARP stuff. If you need contact info or help with sewing feel free to ask me! :) I will post my Tycho cosplay as soon as I get my boots ^ 3 ^
