Prologue
For years, the United States had been strong and waged war with anyone who harmed their people. But people didn’t take account that what happened in the world, would affect the virus that infected the government. The Syrian Civil War, Cyprus Bank Crisis, Edward Snowden, and corrupt politicians were only the fuel to what was going to be the spark of massive blaze. In 2016, the US government collapsed after the Congressional Committee couldn't make squat on a budget. In addition to that, they paid people under the table for a fixed election just to get into office.
Once the glorious giant fell from his stalk, the rest of the countries began to crumble beneath their feet. First were the third-world countries, then the rest of the developed countries around the globe. People began to riot and anarchy began to spread through the veins of society itself. Militarized governments began to rise to quell the unrest of the people. They didn’t care who took over to get order back into place, as long as they got it done quick and easily; much like pre-World War II Europe when the economy collapsed in the 20’s. One government though was barely standing under the unrest, the United Nations.
Many people from the nations under the Confederacy wanted them to take over. They already had peace keepers who were armed for any situation going on around the world, so it was a no brainer to why they pleaded for them for help. Once they gained power, they quickly became a more unified nation. No more independent countries around the world; everyone was unified under one flag under the states of what were their former countries.
Only one year had passed, and the new United Nations have become more of a Totalitarian State than the Confederacy it once was. When someone makes a protest, they hear his call and silence him with the most elite snipers and assassins that prowl the jungle floor of a city. But their true nature is shown when the masses come in to protest. They don’t send the usual riot police in, but instead they send in tanks and heavily armed soldiers to dispatch them. People run from all directions for cover, but the machine guns mow them down quicker than they could run for the safe haven.
For several months the UN began to go into a state of militarism. The patriotic ones were the first to sign up to join their military. Every single one of those who signed up were broken mentally and physically to the point that they were no longer civilians, but killing machines that complete any order without asking questions first. But they still wanted more, so they began to kidnap children at night and ‘reprogram’ them to do their bidding; just like the patriotic idiots who entered as well.
Shortly after the UN began their child experiments, a small resistance group began to emerge. They were just a bunch ragtag groups around the globe who torch down munitions depots at night, and hang anti-United Nations propaganda in public places. They took such a risk that they had no idea that the UN would knock the shit out of them in a single blow. Spies began to infiltrate their way into the resistance and gain respect from the bastards. Once they got far enough into their mission, they launched a one man assault on the groups and slaughter as many as they can before they get killed. It was the best plan those assholes thought of in just the short time they were in control.
Instead of going into hiding like the little bitches they are, they saw this as an opportunity to strike back at them. They rallied people at night via concerts or at movie theaters in an utmost discreet manner. Soon their numbers began to grow larger, but they were still outgunned by the millions. After six months of careful planning and resource gathering, they soon began to attack small military outposts under the command of the United Nations. Small victories were gained and lost as some of the outposts were equipped with prototypes of military unmanned autonomous fighting vehicles designated IRVING.
These giant walking machines were armed with machine guns, grenades, and a manipulator arm. They weren’t just metal AI tanks of death; they had legs that were composed of artificial muscle tissue from stem cells. These monstrosities stomped the soldiers and kicked them high into the air with a force that cracked their ribs. Luckily these were only at key outposts inside the city of Manhattan, near the United Nations Headquarters. Whatever they were keeping near their base, it was awfully important to have high security there.
After the Resistance came along, a small gang began to take rise. They also want to take down the UN, but they are all divide on what they want to do to control New York. On the Queens and Brooklyn borough resides the Shadow Wolf gang. These men wear long black cloaks with extended mag guns. No one can see their faces under those hoods they have, for they also have tribal wolf masks to hide their faces. You can these guys are from the gang, for they vomit a black goo when they are in combat.
The UN had a project that their top scientists were working on day and night known as, The Conduit Project; named after the gene that gave humans powers over the elements and other miscellaneous sub factors. Apparently after what happened in Empire City with Cole McGrath, they wanted to replicate the same device only known as the Raysphere. This spherical object granted the power to unlock the Conduit gene, with only one major setback. When the object is activated, a huge explosion will destroy anything in a six block radius.
No one knows how the condition of the project is at, but one thing is for sure. We are all going to find out very soon enough.
