Hehe, I like my opening post. Anyways, feel free to post here if you are interested in starting a SE: Lain roleplay with me. I would like to find a few Lain freaks to rp with before I start the actual IC thread. But... I will take on the role of Lain. Hey, this is my rp. I can do what I want! Lain controls the wired and thus, I shall control the rp. Not your characters, of course. I'm just being all symbolic and stuff. Don't be intimidated. Hehe.

Though I am new here, I've been roleplaying for about five years. I ask that you have a basic knowledge of the English language and can give me and other users something to reply to while in character. Take the initiative in starting character interaction! After everyone posts an opening er-- post, get in there and interact. :)

Follow the rules of RPA, first and foremost. I have read all of the rules, but please refresh my memory if I post something iffy. I'm not perfect. I'll post the general plot idea in my next post.

This takes place after the series came to a close. 13 episodes just wasn't enough for me. This will be focusing around Lain's struggle to accept that she no longer exists and no one remembers her. She misses her friends but since she can only appear in a holographic form in the real word (that's what I got from the series since her friend Alice appeared to age and she herself did not) there is still a barrier. Mostly she just observes while she is in the real world and does not interfere.

I'm thinking that advanced 'Wired' users are somehow finding information about Lain and what she is or was. Finding out about this, Lain proceeds to cut off certain users from the wired, making them unable to log in. But they can still see her when she appears in the real world and she can't do anything about their existence in the real world since she closed that gap by deleting her alter-ego.

This is my own interpretation of what happened in the series. The plot in the series is so complicated, I believe it was intended to be interpreted many ways by different people. I'm open to any more ideas and feel free to post them now!

This looks like a great game. Why not submit it for Roleplay of the Week (http://www.role-player.net/forum/showthread.php?t=905) or put it in the Roleplaying Games Directory (http://www.role-player.net/forum/showthread.php?t=2304) or click here (http://www.role-player.net/forum/showthread.php?t=3975)or put your RP in The Spotlight (http://www.role-player.net/forum/showthread.php?p=306170#post306170) to help attract players?

The Wired is like the internet except far more advanced. You can go 'into' the wired to communicate and play games or whatever you like to do if the user is advanced enough. Lain (though much of her past is left unknown) was supposed to link the wired and reality into one. That's what the series goes into. It's really rather complicated... I was hoping to find other fans here. haha
