Risen Ashes is set in the year of 3980 where Earth has gone to ashes, wastelands everywhere and a city is no where to be seen. Due to the nuclear war that erupted 68 years ago, a new but deadly type of creatures emerged from the ashes of war. These creatures are known as the Reaper, although 6 decades and 8 years have passed since the war has ended, Earth's once peaceful has been a "playground" for the Reapers, slaughtering anything they see...
The Brotherhood of the Fallen stayed in a huge city, untouched from the Reapers and from the war. This place is known as Atlantus. The Brotherhood chooses young teenagers to train them into warriors and help survivors from the Apocalypse. This is the place where you became a warrior, the Brotherhood's goal of training you is to find the place where the menacing creatures came from. Your goal, is to survive on the harsh lands of Earth and to save the world...

Backstory: Alex is a resident of Atlantus for 18 years and was trained by the Brotherhood for 10 years. Alex, is a man who got his face burned while repairing an oil pipe in his house, and he was admitted to the hospital for 3 days. It was actually someone attempted to kill him, but Alex didn't know who. Then, when he woke up Alex touches his face. He felt a hard skin on it, like a mask replaced his face, he also burnt his right arm while repairing and it was replaced by a bio-mechanical arm. He stayed in his house for weeks because of his face, no more old Alex. Then, he devoted himself to save the world with his fellow Brotherhood warriors..

Personality: After the incident that burned Alex's face, he became a less talkative person. Alex also wanted revenge on the person who killed his parents.. But, Alex has a heart, compassion towards his friends and might have some love affection towards Lisa. Alex doesn't like to show his feelings obviously..

Companion: A German Sheperd dog named Reginald. He is also Alex's pet.

Skills: A master swordsman, a great sharpshooter and have good survival skills.

Ability: Able to run at 60mph, Alex can use his speed ability at will. He also have good reflexes and by his "new" face, it allows Alex to use thermal vision, nightvision and see through walls. His bio-mechanical arm allows him to punch harder, grip harder and a magnet grip. The energy from the bio-mechanical arm gives his left arm power, allowing the left arm to have the same abilities as the bio-mechanical arm.

Backstory: Natalia grew up in the city with her father and brother. When they was old enough they worked together to repair many different mechanical items within the city. Her father was a well known mechanic and welder and she and her brother learned all they know from him. After he passed the siblings took over the business however Nat felt she had a higher calling and began training with the brotherhood she has been training with them for 3 years.

Personality: Being raised around only her father and brother she tends to act more like a man than she does a woman. She is also very outgoing but when it comes to going her job she knows how to get serious and concentrate. She loves to tinker with anything mechanical and more offten than not if someone has equipment that is unfamiliar to her she will pester the person nonstop until they allow her to examine it. Often times it will seem like she has no interest in a relationship other than friendship or that she is more in love with a man's tech than she is with him, but really she is a hopeless romantic she simply hides it better than others.

Backstory: For the most part he grew up the same way as his sister. Being schooled in the ways of a mechanic from his father since longer then he can remember. After his sister decided that she wanted to move on to something more fulfilling than a simple mechanic he worked alone as the best mechanic the city had, even apprenticing a young man not much younger then his who was a very quick learning. After Demetric taught the boy all he could he left the business to him and joined his sister.

Personality: Demetric is normally a very laid back, I'm just gunna do my job kind of guy, but when it comes to his sister he is rather over protective. Much to Nat's annoyance.

Companion: a self invented AI he calls Wasp

Skills: Master mechanic and inventor as well as explosives specialist

Weapons: mostly bombs

Ability: he has a strange telepathic connection with his sister, even though they are not twins they can communicate mentally however Demetric has to initiate it and the farther the distance the two are from each other the fuzzier the connection gets.

Backstory: Born in the middle of ash and death, pretty much in the middle of a Reaper overhail as his parents eesperately struggled for survival, Tyler is and waw always in the rough. Ability: Super Change. A special ability he can use with his suit. It can change to his three phases, tjouh it can ojly change to each onde a day, or it superheats and locks down.
Phase 1 ability: Assassin's vision. A simple heart pumping shot of sweet adrenaline, speeding his reflexes. Too much usage can alter him, tjough.
Phase 2 Unique: Plasma Blades.
Phase 2 ability: Soldier's Fire. A super heated fireball that is consisted of plasma and heated flame. It explodes upon contact, burning and elting skin and armor. He can use it at best three times an hour, as it can ultimately become unstable and scorch him.
Phase 3 ability: Shields Up! He becomes coated with a sjort lasting highly resistant energy shield, though only the front and back.

About your first question, I actually meant that A New Dawn isn't generally accepted by other RP'ers here, meaning it has less players. I am thinking that this RP is set years after the events of A New Dawn maybe? Whaddaya say?

Backstory: Micah was born into the Brotherhood 27 years ago. His father was one of the Brotherhood Warriors and around his 14th birthday, he began training. He never met his mother, nor has he ever heard stories about her. His father keeps her a secret and he doesn't ask any questions. His job is simple, to survive and carry on the legacy of the Brotherhood. On a seperate note, Micah is bisexual, and he has lived with loving who he is entirely.

Personality: Micah is a responsible adult. He loves meeting new people and enjoys rest and relaxation. Micah, though an awesome warrior, tends to slack off every now and then and always seems to be a little less optimistic than others, sometimes looking at the bad rather than the good. Micah is the type to have fun even in the midst of danger. Because he loves himself, he is able to love others.

Companion: Hummino, the Mechanical Hummingbird

Skills: Micah is an experienced fighter and gymnast. He has knowledge of weaponry.

Weapons: A sentient whip (as seen in the photo) capable of parrying sword blows and slice through solid rock. Micah has had years of experience wielding this whip, and given that the whip is a sentient being on its own, it does protect Micah at all cost. No one knows where the whip comes from, but the whip is capable of deflecting offensive attacks. Along the length of the whip are retractable spikes that deal even more damage.

Ability: Aside from Micah's unrealistic reflexes, senses, and impeccable balance resembling that of a cat, he was born with a very weird ability. Micah can generate electricity. It is a strange ability, one that he has kept secret for a long time. He doesn't know how he obtained this ability, but all he knows is that upon his will he can draw in electricity from lightning storms or other sources, and he can generate it on his own. He can even expel electricity in varying currents/amps which in turns reflects on the amount of damage done.

Manufacturer: AUTOMATA
AI's skills: Hummino can transform into other shapes and sizes. It is a military based A.I meaning it has the necessary equipment to perform whatever task Micah asks of it. It has plasma rifles that are able to fire rapid shots. These plasma shots explode on contact. It also has toxins in its "beak" that cause temporary paralysis. It can also produce forcefields to protect Micah. It is designed to learn and react to whatever threat it faces. It is completely loyal to Micah, and in a sense loves him dearly, protecting him at all cost.

#1: Atlas Corp.

Atlas Corp. or Atlas Industries is the main weapon manufacturer in the Risen Ashes timeline (In A New Dawn, there is no main manufacturers although Risen Ashes takes place a century after A New Dawn). Atlas is the largest weapon manufacturer in the world. Atlantus is the home to this huge company, also Atlas Industries is the company that can replaces limbs and other things.

#2: GC Manufacturers
GC Manufacturers or Goverment Coalition Manufacturers holds the most advanced technology in warfare. They only provide arms for Atlantus, therefore making Atlantus the strongest city on Earth. Other than that, GC Manufacturers also manufacturs mechanical limbs such eye, legs and arms.

#3: AUTOMATA
Automatic Machine Transferring A.I is a company that builds AI robots the finest. Domestical AI or military AIs. These AI have the greatest intelligence and have human feelings. AUTOMATA can't replace limbs like the other two but is citizen-friendly because this is the only company that builds AI with Domestical purposes.

Back Story:Teegan was raised by her Father, Cornelius Nixon, and an A.I nanny named CRU-98, after her mother left her father for unknown reasons. Her father was a brave member of the Brotherhood of the Fallen, and trained young member to fight the Reapers outside the cities walls. But even he couldn't face the gang of Protars who attacked him one night on a scouting mission to procure more supplies.. He was slaughtered and all that remained of him to identify him was his Twin Plasma Glocks, which had the initials "C.N" engraved in the grips. Teegan was 7 at the time, and she took the news better than all had expected, and her only request was to inherit his pistols. She didn't shed a tear at his funeral. From that moment on, CRU-98 became her closest friend and parent, and would encourage her to learn, playing chess and reading with her. She excelled in her home-taught lessons CRU-98 taught her and on her own, from the age of 13, she began scouting missons of her own just outside of the walls of Atlantus. One time an old friend of her fathers caught her and was about to discipline the child (She was only 14 at the time) when a small swarm of Wingers attacked. Even though most of them he killed with his flame-thrower, her marvelled at how calm and efficent the child was for only using her father's Glocks. He took her in and trained her for fighting, and after 6 years of training she became a member of the Brotherhood, and trained a few students herself. And she never forgot her debt to CRU-98.... Even though the robot is outdated and domestic, she is often seen with it, and has even enquired to a few robo-heads about possibly re-wiring and weaponizing the bot...

Personality: Quiet, Cold, and highly Logical. Most say that she almost acts robotically, though some family friends say she was an animated and lively child. Sarcastic, Cynical when speaking, and though no one has known her to ever be angry, it's agreed no one wants to see it.

Companion: CRU-98 (who by her is known, in Private, as "Kitty")

Skills: Excellent Marksmanship (Small guns) and Logic. Is also good with rudimentry explosives and survival skills (eg. hunting for food, making fires, finding unradiated water).

Weapons: - Two (2) customized Plasma Glocks, titanium-plated and heated core. Engraved with the letters "C.N" in cursive on each grip. (Each one held in a sheath on either side of her belt.)
- One Hundred (100) Plasma rounds, (Kept on her chest on criss-crossing large straps that hold fifty each.)
- Six (6) Simple-fuse Pipe Bombs (Kept in her Knapsack.)
- Two (2) Small Emergancy Electric-Daggers, which when the hilts are clicked together produce an electric current down the blade. (Kept tucked in sheaths sewn into her garters she wears over her pants.)

Ability: Having grown up with a Robot for several years, he introduced her to something her and many A.I's do naturally called "Ultra Focus". This is less an ability but a mindset, where Teegan can shut down her emotions and most of her brain to focus entirely on the task at hand, which makes her more efficent at whatever task she is working on at the time. So when fighting Reapers, she can use this "Ultra Focus" to block out Fear and Background Noises to become more tuned into her senses, thus effective as a robot

( This is not really an ability per-say cause it's kinda useless in an RP sense but I felt I had to put something down. )

Backstory: Shanol was born as an embryo that would soon take shape, so Shanol didn’t know or even comprehend the concept of family. He was raised as a test subject in a secret underground laboratory that was secretly bio-engineering humans to see if they were capable of holding a power that was known as the Infinity Mechanism; Shanol was to be that human. The exact date all of this occurred is unknown however the events that transpired are more real to Shanol than anyone could hope to understand.

Shanol, when old enough, rebelled against the secret organization and murdered everyone there before destroying the facility and escaping into the wild. He lived out his days traveling the land until the Infinity Mechanism, which was attached to his heart, began to work and ramp up in power. Before he knew it he had called upon a creature that was a mix between a bird and wolf. This creature was to be his steed as well as his companion and with this he haunts the lands to this day.

Personality: Shanol is sinister at the core. He doesn’t know the meaning of positive emotions such as happiness and laughter [with good intent of course] and prefers to express darker emotions that bring out the evil in him. He was treated as a test subject and will often treat others the same way and will playfully torture them silently without remorse or regret.

Personality: Since she's always with Alex, she have some kind of love affection towards Alex. During battle, she became an agile fighter. When she sees her friends are in danger, she stops what she's currently doing and help them. Talk about caring people! Other than that, she never stops caring about Alex since his face and arm are burnt.

The majority of the dragon stretches across her back with the wings also extending slightly over one shoulder and the other wing under the other while the neck and head go down to the middle of her left forearm. The ink is a very rich and deep black.


The wolf extends down her right art in a pouncing motion, it's head ending just before her wrist. Again, a rich and deep ink, but charcoal grey.

She has one final tattoo on her palm, a faded skull that covers up an older tattoo.

Her loadout for combat is very minimalist as far as loadouts go. She'll wear camouflage or drab colors, light boots for running and a flak jacket. Generally she will wear short sleeves to show her tattoos, as she finds them intimidating and still has pride for for them. She'll sport a backpack as well to hold supplies like a small amount of first aid items, survival gear and whatever else may be assigned to her for the mission.


Backstory: By birth, Lindsey is a tribal. The tribe she comes from is an almost cult like group of people that worship certain spirits that "select" their followers. Not much is known of the tribe, as they mostly keep to themselves. Her family lived as the hunters of the tribe. This is signified by the wolf tattoo.

When Lindsey reached the age of fifteen she was "selected" by the dragon spirit to be a warrior. For the next five years she trained daily in hand to hand combat. She became so proficient at the art and an excellent tactician. The small militia that she was a part of protected the tribe, and made sure nobody wanted to tangle with them. Sometimes this led to acts of violence that many would deem unnecessary. It was an effective deterrent though, as travelers gave the tribals' land a very wide berth when they passed by.

Lindsey later challenged the tribes' war chief to a duel. The winner would take charge of the small band of warriors, the other would most likely die. The battle lasted a week as the two fought and ambushed each other across the rocky valley they called home. In the end, She was beaten by the war chief. Almost at the point of death, the war chief decided to exile her instead due to her extreme dedication to the fight. Her name, which was signified by a marking on her palm was replaced by a darkly faded skull. She was left by a band of warriors at a small clinic in Atlantus.

After she recovered from her injuries, which took longer than usual because she would not accept any kind of prosthetic replacements of her battered limbs, she joined the Brotherhood of the Fallen to pay her debts. At this time, she adopted the name Lindsey. Over the next three years she added the Brotherhood's fighting techniques to her personal arsenal. She also became proficient in the use of light machine guns.

Being exiled from her tribe has changed Lindsey quite a bit. The biggest change being her addiction to drugs that she is now just barely overcoming; although the withdrawals are almost too much for her to take sometimes. Very few people know about this problem. She also can be very aggressive towards others if she feels offended in anyway. Lastly, Lindsey will fight with very little regard for her own life. Because she bears the mark of a tribeless, she considers herself already dead.

Personality: Lindsey can be very hard to read at times, partly from her being on edge from withdrawals. Her loyalty mostly lies to the Brotherhood because she feels like she has something to prove there -mostly to herself. When asked about her past, she will either lie, or hit/insult somebody. Her trust runs deep to those close to her though, and she can be a pretty rambunctious person. Depending on the drug, Lindsey can either become more open, or more wild, almost like an animal.

Skills: When it comes to hand to hand/melee combat, there are few that can compete with her. She also does well with a machine gun, as she is not afraid to bring that firepower up close and personal with the enemy. Her time as a hunter and warrior in her tribe have taught her survival skills and battle tactics.

While her tattoos are not actively being used, they can passively aid her with heightened strength and senses, but not to an extreme extent.

One of the most promising recruits that the Brotherhood has ever had in regards to his innate understanding of technology and science. Though physically weak, his shining intellect allowed him to pass many trials. However a freak accident during combat training (caused by a rival initiate) cost him almost the entirety of his body. Everything but his heart, lungs, and brain were destroyed. Unwilling to lose one of their best and brightest, the Brotherhood expended considerable resources to bring him back, not for his combat expertise but for his deep connection with all things electronic. Though the project was considered a success, gifting him a completely new bionic body, it came at the price of his humanity. Forever afterwards he never trusted. His increasingly extreme views in regards to technologies relation to humanity has caused concern for the leadership of the Brotherhood.
Personality:
A loner who prefers the company of whatever machines who happen to be in the area. He rarely if ever will tolerate the company of those who do not make use of technology to enhance themselves, considering them either inferior or unwilling to embrace humanity's destiny of technological ascendance. (There is some speculation that this last bit might have been implanted in his head without his knowledge, as there are inexplicable rare exceptions.) To those who embrace modifications to their mortal bodies, he is more genial, if not exactly friendly. If one comes to him asking for assistance in regards to getting or maintaining a cybernetic/bionic implant, you will either attain the closest thing to friendship he has, or his hatred. (The determining factor is whether the damage done to the implant was your fault or not.)

Shoulder Cannon- A more conventional weapon, which fires small rockets (high blast effect despite size) where he focuses.
Computer Cords- In an odd twist, the mechandrite (cord like) limbs which sprout from the small of his back that are normally used to interface with technology can be used to grapple with and even disable unwitting enemies by firing tight beam lasers.
Ability:
Mechandrite Limbs- A series of cordlike mechanical appendages sprouting from the small of his back, which he can move three hundred sixty degress independent from each other and his main arms. They can link into computers, interface with tech, be used to hold/manipulate objects, and even provide a pseduo physical shield. (Kind of like Doctor Octopus, but more numerous and significantly thinner.)
Cyborg Body- Apply to withstand massive physical damage, near invulnerability to pain, and an inherent understanding of almost all encountered technology. Able to store large amounts of data in his head, be it images, words, math, or anything else recordable. No need to recharge due to recycling energy source in his chest.

Sacro brought up a good point in the IC. Make sure we don't let OOC knowledge get into the IC. Just because you know one characters history does not necessarily mean that your character knows it.

No, it was actually about the "revenge" part in the beginning. My character never mentioned wanting to take revenge and you had brought it up when there was no way of you knowing her past and thinking she'd want revenge against the reapers. That was actually the main thing that set my character off in the first place, hence her over-reaction. I try play my character as realistically as possible and knew it was something that would set her off, hence why she took advantage of you turning your back.

However, I don't want that to drag out any more. I agree with Cookies, and second that statement. Hell, I barely remember anyone else's backgrounds enough already. And the move was not out of insanity nor anything against your character (Or the person playing him) but simply me acting out my character's frustrations. I think any inner-squabbling should be saved for later in the role play, however, and will do my best to keep my character co-operating with everyone else until a more appropriate time in the role play.

As well, I used to do alot of RP fighting which is why I put so much emphasis on each part of my action-moves, a strategy to avoid cries of Godmod. I think the hardest adjustment is the slowing in time and the freedom to put endings to my attacks (In RP fights, you can't say any of the other persons reactions to moves) .. But this site is definiately a relief from all the sentance-roleplayers and the -punches u- people *Shudders*

Given that there are still some fleshy bits to him, he does require nutrients. However without a digestive tract, he uses a liquid injection method, which is fed into a processor, which brings the necessary parts to where it is needed. Currently only his heart, lungs, and brain are still flesh. (Though the former two are beginning to be converted. The process was forestalled for the mission. Despite the addition of memory banks and recording, Gestalt has no intentions of transfering his mind over to a fully electronic replica, due to there not being a guarantee of success, the danger involved, the physical memory/processing limitations, and the desire to remain human.)

At the speed the earth is spinning and moving through space, nothing would be left due to the sudden super-gale speed winds, the ground detaching itself, and the complete switch the normal human body would go through, comparable to teleporting from the top of a mountain to ocean level, and all the horrors the sudden air pressure change would cause.

That and with all the scans we've been putting on Shanol, one of us would have discovered the insanely powerful technology he was wielding.

Also, you can't just redirect a missile by switching the gravity. Military hardware is routinely made to counteract the natural enviorment, not to mention smart missiles with target lock, heat tracing, and inertia spheres.

Yes, yes and yes. Though letting the missile hit Shanol would mean the death of him. I cannot allow that happen so early in the story. I know the extent of military-grade weaponry and do not think that I simply did that just because. Think about it from this perspective:

You're the only villain in the story thus far, and if that single villain were to die so easily within the first parts of the story, then it would be travel throughout the duration of the rest of the story until "N" comes up with another antagonist to counter-act the balance here.

And of course I know the sciences surrounding Gravitational Manipulation, but I am following the rules of Gravitational Manipulation. Also adding onto the fact that Shanol is using Gravitational Manipulation for defensive purposes like deflecting or diverting a warhead that could, quite frankly, kill him in one shot. So you need to look at it from a battle prospective.

Also to add onto the fact even further, the powers that are in this story are not even scientifically possible.

I did not simply say that the warhead was to simply spin out of control and explode. I simply put down that the warhead was deflected; nothing more.

Yes the Laws of Reality still apply, but I am only following what the power describes.

However gravity or gravitational forces can be used to repulse, divert or deflect objects or persons away from center target. So the whole uproar about this is the simple fact the warhead was diverted. There many ways about going with your next move, its like the Arena; you move, attack and wait for the person to do same thing.

Weapons: His whole "armor" is a weapon. Jagged and serrated at the knuckles, knees and feet, and specialized to kill. It has retractable claws that never truly disappear, among many other things. But what really stands out on him, are his actual weapons.

"Repenting Sorrow" Plasma Blade: A super concentrated expandable blade hidden as a handle in his waist. It emits a black aura, and it can cut through Protar steel. This blade wrecks havoc in any metal, rock or organic material. Ough it is useless against energy shields.

"Shadow Kill" Rifle: A multi-break rifle that handles similar technology to Tyler's suit. It can work as a sniper, a mid range weapon or a gun.
Ability: "Flash" He moves, a lightning strike, a quickness visible only through augmented vision. This thoug, can break or snap his tendons if used too much, though constant use has made this slightly less probable.
"Delusions": He transmits several clones of himself, and can either use "Cloak of Night" to disappear, or me with them. They are purely holographic though, and as such cant damage.
"Slash" This strike uses the same electric energy as Flash, but he emits it from his hands in a powerful, concentrated EMP. It can be used in a short shockwave, or an outright slice of pure energy.
"Cloak and Armor": Similar yet extremely different abilities. It all consists in his suit, which contains a full pattern of interchangeable alloys. This can create an extremely tough armor, or an unnoticeable, turackable cloak. This though, wastes the suits energy, and he cannot use Slash with the cloak, or Delusions with the Armor.

I would just like to state that pretty much every character in this RP is OP. Either they are a master at all things combat, can slay ~500 reapers solo or have dominion over the elements. (I may be exaggerating a little). I think there needs to be some limits and guidelines set so we can all avoid being OP and godmodding. I'm not trying to offend anyone here, and I hope I don't make anyone feel uncomfortable or angry, but I think it would be important for the longevity of this RP if some kind of guidelines were established.
