But this time, let's keep it civil, folks. I wasn't there for the whole fiasco that got the other one closed, and I don't really care what happened. Let's just start new and fresh, and play nice and all that happy hoo-rah.



random thought of the hour: I'm writing an excerpt of a fanfic and holy shit things got dark fast. or rather, really violent.

Guess it depends where you live. Over here it's still quite a novelty thing. We used to only get snow about once every five years and then only about 2 days, but nowadays it seems to be that we get it virtually every year but still just a few days.

It's just an issue when people take it to extremes, every week in this country countless teens end up in hospital having their stomachs pumped out or get involved in anti-social behaviour via drunkenness. In this country at least the binge-drinking culture is a massive problem.

Ah, yes... good ol' Domination in CiV. Managed a good Zulu rush a couple days ago and got pretty far with it.
Tho, I like the Space Race(or Science Victory) as well but haven't tried it yet on CiV, only the previous games.

I'm aware how Mutually Assured Destruction works. It'd start strategically, targetting enemy bases, command and control, manufacturing, infrastructure. Cities would be lower priority, and countries without the capability to strike back would also be lower value targets. But still targets all the same, and the process would repeat itself. I could tell you offhand that at the very least 10-25% of the Australian population would be fine, and 75% of the country would be untouched as well. Much of Canada, the US, China, Russia. All of those would have large areas safe from the destruction.

Well assuming the blast rates would level most things, and the radiation take is toll on most other things. I think its likely that most of earth would be effected to some extent, and possibly the only places that would be somewhat safe is those spots that's not very much effected by changes to the rest of the world.
