I walk slowly down along the road and see the tavern I normally stop at on my way back to the safe house here. I slip in and take a seat at the tavern. "Sion, get me rum on the rocks as usual." I call out the barkeeps nickname. I've been coming here in between jobs for a couple years now and the bar keep and I know each other a bit.

Enough so that she knows my name and I know hers and where we both come from to a rough sketch that is. I take my rum and take a sip and unwind most of my crew was here drinking and eating as well. The two local kingdoms where in a state of war and they were putting out a lot of contracts on people. Things were going very well for the contract killers like me. I used my crew as an excuse to get from place to place.

I paid them well enough but they all always suspected that there was something deeper. They were part of the reason my name had become so closely tied wit death. Everyone feared that me and my crew would come calling at their village. Of course when we raided or hit a ship it was normally so I could kill of a VIP that was there.

"Alright, a screwdriver, margarita, and a beer for the lot of ya?" Sionnach asked, her strong irish accent lining a fierce yet sultry voice. The table she was waiting all agreed and she began mixing their drinks, standing behind the bar and manning the rather busy place with a few other servers, her father having decided to take the day off. Handing the drinks off, she saw Masamoto enter with his crew and smirked for but a moment before making up his drink even before he could speak, knowing his drink order he made whenever he visited her family's tavern well enough.

"Here ya go, best rum we got in stock. Hope it's to your likin'," she smiled and placed the drink in front of him, wiping the counter down where a few other patrons had been sitting before they made haste to distance themselves from the pirate captain in equal parts fear and respect. Greeting a few others of Masamoto's crew who took their place, she poured them drinks as well to get started. "Been busy knockin' high class mook's off? Been a bit since I seen ya last. Lookin' good still, any good stories to tell this time?" She opened up conversation, resting sideways against the bar counter a respectful but friendly distance away from the man, polishing a glass.

"Eh, depends there are two actually. We fought some of the screaming monks from the northern lands and we also fought a giant squad." The man says easily taking a sip from his drink, he was easy going and relaxed but one hand stayed at the pocket where he kept his throwing knives, Kuni as his people called them. "Which do you want to hear about?" His crew grins already knowing which of the two she'll pick.

Sionnach grinned and laughed, putting the cup away on a shelf and swished her hair over her shoulder. "Really now?" she teased, seeing one of the barmaids come up to her.

"Apologies to interrupt, but I need a tray of drinks for one of the tables please. Two thundercracks, a pint of beer, and two shots of tequila," the young woman asked. Long black hair braided down her back, she had fine features that belied the no-shit allowed lion that hid beneath her peppy and kind demeanor. One had to have nerves of steel and an attitude to go with it to work in this side of town where all the shifty or rowdy folk gathered. The woman whose clothing erred on the side of suggestive smiled to Masamoto and gave him a small curtsy.

"Sounds like the lot of 'em are lookin' to get good and drunk, eh?" Sionnach remarked, mixing up the thundercracks which were stout thick glasses, their contents containing a lot of ice, booze, juice, and a blue syrup with sugar lining the rim. "Anyways, so, which story do I want to hear..." she glanced around at the crew and smirked, shaking her head mockingly. "Oh hush the lot of ya. Okay love, let's here the second one, yah?" She often used the word 'love' as a name to many of her male patrons, it was a harmless affectionate term in such context to refer to them with. Finishing pouring the drinks and placing them down onto a wooden tray, the barmaid collected it politely and thanked Sionnach, giving Masamoto and his crew a wink with a smile before serving the table and checking up on others.

"It's actually really odd. We had been sent to kill the giant squid down in Zanza so we sailed south but it found us before we found it." He launches into his story slowly and smiles at her taking a sip of his drink. The next few hours are telling about it. "Then finally we tossed a bunch of gunpowder barrels over and when it at them we blew it up." He finishes and notices how long he's been speaking. "Oh boy it's pretty late, I'd better shove off. But before I go governor Roth has in invited me to a dance in honor of his daughter and I need a +1, should you be interested in coming, it's this Friday." He speaks slowly, this wasn't the first time. The governor knew how much went on down here. He was a friend of the order young Masamoto belonged to and often invited them to dances and such. Masamoto I'm turn often invited his young bartender friend.

((Sorry for the wait, I've fallen into a rut with things cause of things in RL and been slow. Might be slow for a while yet as I try to get out of the funk I've found myself in as of late))

Sionnach listened on, expertly making drinks and cleaning tables or having the other barmaids do so for her over the long and busy rush, her expressions all appropriate but genuine to the varying aspects of the story. When he finished, she grinned and patted the counted, leaning back and stretching. Though she had been working through the story, by proxy she felt rather winded from how long it had taken to tell. Looking outside through the tinted windows when he mentioned the time, she saw that it was noticeably darker now, not even realizing she had just breezed through the usual dinner rush. The late night stragglers would be drifting in now, as would the next shift of barmaids and tenders; along with them her chance to finally end her own shift as barkeeper for some much deserved relaxation time and a good night sleep.

Smiling fondly to Masamoto, she gave a curt curtsey. "I believe I could get permission from my father for such a grand occasion. I would be quite honored." Though it wasn't uncommon for her to be at the side of the mysterious respect and fear inspiring captain at events, she was always keen to show the proper respect where it was required, especially in public so as not to tarnish their reputation. A word like a seed can grow into a tree, its roots vast and many; it was always good for one to watch their tongue if they hadn't the arm and strength, or treasures to back rumors up. "So, what time and where are we to meet? I'm assuming it's formal attire?" she asked, resting her forearms on the counter as she leaned on them and gave a tilt of her head to the pirate captain.

(That's alright RL always comes first.)

"Ya, it's fancy fancy. I'll pick you up at your home about half and hour before?" He ask slowly as his crew, or those that had stayed behind pay their tabs. They knew their captain would be fine walking home alone, but just as well they knew he'd escort Sion home. They slowly slep off giving their captain a brief nod as they do which he returns as the last of them leave.

"Aye, sounds good. I'll be sure to come up with the best clothes I can find in my closet and dress to impress. Just lemme finish up the last of my shift, yah? Won't be long now, just need to go about a quick inventory and count the revenue we've brought in today while I'm waitin' on Jessibelle to come 'n' cover me."

The last bit of work Sionnach had to do didn't take long, only about an hour to ensure the place was sanitary and any stock they were low on noted to be ordered, everything else accounted for; as was the coin and tips they had made over the course of the day. It had been quite a profitable day, especially for the wold red head who always did well with the men, all in attempts to try for her in one-night stands or even for her hand which she always denied-- it would bring sales down if people found out she was taken; not that she would oppose if she was to meet someone that she truly cared for who shared such passionate feelings and were wealthy themselves. All that kept her tethered to the tavern was her family who had legal custody over her by financial deals via the slave trade she had been picked up from.

Organizing the shelves and bringing the opened bottles to the front, the sealed ones in the back, she did a quick wipe down and ended her shift, swapping out with her replacement. With an exasperated sigh, relieved but feeling rather strung out from the long day, she walked around the counter to Masamoto's side and smiled with a tilt of her head. "Ready to go, if you are, hm?"

"Yup, let's go." He leads the way out and starts for where she lives, it wasn't to far from the bar. Just as well he walks slowly and casually, there was no need to run ragged up towards the place. It was a nice night for a walk and he had pleasant enough company so they just walk slowly towards her home once and a while stopping to look at the stars.

Sionnach gave her other coworkers a little wave goodbye, smirking at them; to which they returned the expression and grinned. Leaving the tavern, she breathed in deep and sighed, the crisp clean air a nice change from the musty, sweaty; smokey and warm air inside the old beaten building. Taking an equally lax pace, she walked with her head high and a bright smile on her face, her gaze on the horizon which between buildings was the black sea beneath an even darker night sky punctuated with bright white stars.

She never talked much after her shifts, both because she simply didn't find words as important as actions in general, but also because she was often too tired by the end of her day to have the energy for such. Masamoto was a quiet man himself she found out over the many occasions they found themselves together, though he could certainly speak a mouthful when he wanted, as proven by the earlier storytelling. Letting the pirate captain admire the stars on his own time, herself the sea, it took a pleasant while for her home to come into sight, the warm glow of a lantern in the window sill built some feet to the side of the front door illuminated a bit of the outside in front of the wood and stone home, as well as the livingroom inside. From a cobblestone chimney that rose above the roof, a trail of smoke rose from it, indicating the fireplace was being used and that at least one person of the household was awake still.

Walking to just before the door, Sionnach turned to face Masamoto and smiled warmly, placing a hand on her hip. "Aye, well, was a pleasant night as always with ya, captain. I guess I'll see ya Friday then, if not earlier if you happen by the bar again before then?" She gave a toothy grin, looking quite forward to the event.

"Mhm, I'll be out of town till Wensday on a run. Got tasked with some Rum-Running along the southern edge of the Isle. I'll see you when I do." He waits until she's inside and heard the click of the lock before starting downwards towards the docks. It didn't take long for him to wander on down and home.

He wasted little to no time as he walked. Slowly resting his ship pulling up the gangplank so no one could waltz up and then he headed below deck to sleep. His crew were all asleep sept those who'd been on watch. Once he released then from their duty they all quietly slipped below deck and into their hammocks.

Sionnach smirked and nodded once. "Good to know, see ya then." Waving her hand through the air in a farewell, she fished out her keys and unlocked the door, glancing over her shoulder and entering the home. "Goodnight, Masamoto," she said softly, peeking out the door which she had mostly closed, having noted her mother fast asleep in a rocking chair before the fire. Winking, she quietly shut the door and locked it, going over and waking her mother up. After a short conversation, the woman went upstairs to her bed with her husband and Sionnach put out the fire, taking the lantern to guide her way to her room and settle down to do a little before bed reading and then finally falling asleep a short time later.

The next day was the same as before, as it was before that, and countless times before that. Life as a barkeeper or maid was rarely actually eventful for her anymore and for many of the patrons, she listened to their drunken stories or grand tales of events that she doubted really happened with a kind smile on her face; the tips and her hard working father the only things getting her up in the mornings for work. She couldn't wait for the end of the week; a dance on Friday and sword training that morrow, then a relaxing day Sunday all to herself to sit on the pier and watch the ships come in and dock at the wharf while reading and painting to keep her artistic hands busy.

Masamoto stands at the helm of his ship and holds the wheel easily. They didn't have that rough a job today. This wasn't legal or illegal, it was in a grey area. The deal was that they were a free transport ship, which meant that companies didn't need to pay taxes on this shipment. Even so they could only use certain class crews like Masamoto's that were in that grey area.

The reason most companies didn't even do this was because of two major reasons. Most pirates wouldn't bother with it, or they'd steal it. The other reason was most people that were willing to do this work charged a pretty heavy fee. Masamoto only charged half of what normal runners did. "Captain, pirate hunters off the right side! They are waving us down and telling us to surrender." Masamoto stares over at the ship, it was a sloop, fast but not very high on men or fire power. "Fuck that, ready the guns we're gonna ram them." He shouts out and the lads go about gathering their things and wave down they will. Once the other ship gets close their is a crash and the ships ram into each other people run to secure them and the fight begins.

Now Monday, the day was rather normal, after her shift she spent some time with a few girl friends at the market, buying a new dress and hairpiece for the dance. Dressing to impress was always something she enjoyed doing. Returning home, she helped around the house a bit, taking care of chores and running off things that needed to be addressed or simple followups about the bar to her father after being in charge of it for three days straight now. Something that still needed to be taken care of was to give the front a facelift, but it was a slow process to save up for it. After crunching the numbers together, they decided they could afford to do such now with minimal chance of unrecoverable loss. If it was done right, they could get a whole lot more business during the slower mornings and early afternoons.

Tuesday rolled around now and her father came in with someone, surveying the place and talking business. Her mother was helping out as well as a big haul had come in and the ships crew had decided to take their lunch there. The day came and went, Sionnach's father returned again to take over in his wife's stead, and the day continued on as normal. When her shift ended, the wild red-head went off for dinner with one of her admirers, though it was for her nothing more than a nice night out to have some fresh fish and chips and a nice walk on the shoreline. Waving the man off when she returned home, she slipped right away into bed, far too tired to do any before-bed activities as she usually did.

Come morning, she got up earlier this time and dressed up a little nicer today, braiding a few locks of her hair in the front and pinned a fancy blue butterfly on the side. Dressing in a casual but decorative dark green dress, she tied an apron on to keep it clean and went to work with a smile on her face; eager to see Masamoto again and hear about the events of his latest job.

Masamoto strolls into the bar followed by his crew, it was late noon at this point and word had begun to spread of their run in with the pirate hunters from Helfast. The Helfast empire was rather large and strong. As a result many of in independent ports like this one feared them.

That and that the rumors of Helfast believing they were the uptime race and carrying out genocide really doesn't help. "Hello." He says as he takes a seat at the bar. "How's work been?" He as ignoring the muttering behind him about the battle.

Sionnach had another rather busy day, a lot of the people from yesterday back again today, but the crowds came and went like waves. The talk of exploits regarding some great clash in Helfast between one of their ships and the Sea Demon were slowly making their rounds and already there was a dozen variations of the story being spun as it was still fairly new to the ears of the residents in town. All the stories concluded with the crew of the Sea Demon succeeding helped keep the smile on her face through it all.

Catching a few minute break, she leaned back against the cabinets behind the bar and bought herself a drink. It wasn't but a moment after when Masamoto and his crew came in and a bright grin appeared on her face. "Well, well. The victorious rum-runners turned pirate hunter-hunters return." Mocking playfully, she raised her glass to the captain as he sat down. The bar had immediately erupted when he settled into a steady hum of whispers and murmurs which steadily increased back to normal volume after a short time as people grew accustomed to the man and his crew's presence. Pouring the captain a rum on the rocks, she placed it down in front of him. "Been good, remarkably busy. Father's finally giving the old place a face lift and we might even be getting the interior done after the entrance has been done."

Leaning down onto an elbow she placed on the counter, she glanced around at the rambunctious crew and chuckled. "I've been hearing much about your latest work. Got in a tangle with some pirate hunters, eh? Awful little bastards, I'm not much for seeing bad fortune befall a person but no love in this heart for those kinds 'a people; all a sham in my opinion, they guzzle the good peoples money and pull reckless stunts to make big impressions and after a week hang the prisoners for public entertainment an' warnin'." Shaking her head with a face that looked like she had a bad taste in her mouth, she poured another small drink. "Course you know a lot more about those sort of things living that sorta life day in and day out. Got a little carried away with my distaste for em, I guess; don't really need that sorta thing ruining a moment like this. Anyway, cheers to ya for the victory and for takin' out a bunch of upper class riff raff." Tapping his glass, she smiled again and downed her drink.

"They weren't much of a fight, but what I learned is rather on the bad side. I am acutally going to be meeting with the governor at his party to talk about it." I think at a point and lean over to her. "Just tell your father to gather up some things and be ready to leave town for Port De'Shawn." I say and hold a serious town. I wasn't about to tell her more but it was better off her old man be ready to flee if what I heard was right.

Sionnach raised an eyebrow at Masamoto and gave him a hard stare. Given how low in society she was, whatever she learned about current politics came from rumors floating about. To get word like this directly-- regardless of the fact it came from a pirate and not the men of office themselves was unsettling. Standing straight, she took her glass and washed it up, giving it a quick towel dry and putting it back. Chewing on her lip, she stared absentmindedly into the bar for a bit and then fixed her gaze back on the captain. "This is all we have, ya know. We've been savin' for two years straight for this project to get ourselves back on the map as a respectable establishment and now you're saying we're gonna have ta' take off? We've no where to go an' nothing to our names." Her tone was quiet so as not to have any of the other patrons overhearing her, but it was cold and thick with her accent.

"Sion, I won't lie. Things don't look good. I just want you to be safe. Your my friend. Just as well lets be honest. The bars a bar. You can rebuild if you live." I say in a low whisper. He wasn't sure how else to get it across. "If we do need to get out. I can take you and your imdate family. No more." He says in a low tone and get up slowly he sets some coin down and head off. "Just tell him, and keep it on the down low." His whisper is low and harsh as he exits.

Friday

It's on Friday that he picks her up and goes to the dance. He is dressed in a simple kimono. Black and red. Normal attire for his people at a function like this. He looks her over and smiles kindly. "You look nice." He says trying to smooth her mind. He had seen her father packing. The news had reached the govern and he'd issued an evacuation. The party was more of a meeting now. Many nobles would still be atteding but as would navy, merchants, Mercenaries and pirates. He walks along easily for a while then speaks. "Your father was in a frenzy." He says as they pass by the tavern on the way to the governs estate.

Sionnach sighed and hung her head, crossing her arms. "Fine," was all she said, nodding to him. She was concerned to what was going on but respected Masamoto's judgement and knew that her parents would too. Taking the money, she sat on her thoughts while she finished her shift, returning home immediately after to discuss the dance and the captains warnings to the both of them. Her father thought it ridiculous at first, her mother skeptical; but in the end after a lengthy discussion through part of the night, they both agreed to be safe than sorry.

Though sleep was difficult, they managed to get some before waking early. Only packing her most valuable items, sentimental and in material that would fit into her pack, she stuffed a few pairs of clothes in as well as quickly as she could before changing into her new dress and having her mother fix her hair. Unlike her mother and herself, Sionnach's father tried to pack as much of their possessions as he could into their bags, though starting with the necessities before luxuries. In a midnight blue velvet dress with a square front and gold embroidery along the collar and hems of the sleeves and along her ankles, she had both sides of her hair in the front braided and pulled loosely to the back where they were tied with a hairband. She had the same butterfly decoration in her hair and just a touch of make up on to accent her eyes and cheekbones.

Giving Masamoto a small curtsey when he arrived to pick her up, she waved farewell to her parents and left with pack in hand, unsure if it would be alright to leave it with them but not desiring to take the chance of it getting lost in any sort of commotion. Feeling antsy, her pack on her back under her hair and arms folded together, she chewed on the side of her cheek. "Hm? Oh." She was taken surprise by the compliment, more so just the sudden sound of his voice though-- she was rather used to compliments on her looks by anyone and everyone and it didn't really affect her anymore. Still, it was welcome. "Thank you," she said finally, looking up at him with a small smile. The effort on his behalf worked somewhat and her mood became less dim as they walked.

Staring at the bar which was closed in light of the evacuation, she sighed. "Aye, he's trying to take all he can with him aboard in case we can't come back. Best to let mother deal with it, she'll make sure he's out on time." After walking a bit longer, she sighed and linked an arm with him, feeling the need of a comforting presence to latch onto. "What sort of trouble is headed our way? You didn't piss off Helfast, did you?" Her voice was of mixed emotion, light in an attempt at humor but a tinge of worry in it.

He walks along with a brisk pace. He is for the most part quiet. When they arrive at the party it's a somber tone. People are milling about. Things go on like that with bit of dance mostly it's about planning how to escape. The costal guns while can each only be fired once would help serve as a main cover along side Fort Mormonth. "After this we're heeding right to the ship. Fort O'Donal spotted them." He whispers into he ear as they dance.

[Later That Night]

The brotherhood and Sion's family on bored before the mass evacuation starts. They managed to get away as the guns fire. The crew sail and spend the next serval hours gutting and cutting a path through the enemy fleet. Finally they hit the open water.

[Two Weeks Later]

The crew and their captain chose to head for port De'Leux it was on the main island of the Kinian Federation. They are a power just as big as the Helfast. They were taking in refuges as they learned Helfast had hit a few other ports at the same time. They were finally in sight of the port. The young captain notices his friend coming up to him. "What's up, how's your family?" He ask slowly looking at her.

The party was underwhelming, certainly something far different than what she expected, even with the evacuation warning. At the very least, Sionnach didn't feel too out of place as many others were still formally dressed even if hardly anyone was dancing but rather discussing how they would go about leaving the area. She didn't really pick up much, deciding to stick close to Masamoto through it all. "R-Right, okay," she nodded when he told her what their plan of action was. When it was time to leave and when they arrived at the ship, she was quick to help where she could to get everyone on and went with her parents into the lower decks for safety. Armed with her sword, she kept alert and a bit on edge as Masamoto's crew fought their way to sea.

The fortnight they stayed on the ship was a bit difficult, her mother didn't do well on ships and had sea sickness most of the time and the worry about what they were going to do from here on was still in question. Her father had brought all their savings which he always kept stored away in a hidden cache in their cellar with him so there was enough for them to get a head start in whatever they did next at least for a little while. Sionnach spent time both above and below deck while her parents mostly remained below due to her mother's inability to come up above deck for more than a few minutes at a time.

Despite the circumstances, she actually found ship life to be something she accustomed to easily enough; not even the long days stuck on the vessel bothered her as much-- though she had a lot on her mind which certainly distracted her from having been absent from dry land for as long as they had been. She didn't get much time though to talk to Masamoto, but when they started to near the Kinian Federation's land, the opportunity to finally get some time to speak with him came and she approached him. "Mother will be happy when she's finally on shore, father and I are doing alright for the most part. We still don't have any details about what to do worked out since we don't know what will happen to us once we land, but our hopes are about as high as they can be."

Running a hand through her loose hair, having gone more conventional and plain in clothing and appearance on the trip, she sighed. "I'm guessing we're not returning home again, will we? That place there," she pointed idly to the town, "are we just stopping off there on our way to De'Shawn or is that our destination?"

"Turns out that we lost the whole fucking island." He refer to both their home port and De'shawn. "For now the order is going to support you. Your mother and father while to old to be trained for missions. They can take over the local safe heaven's front. It's a pub. As for you, well you can pick. I'm going home to Yuzuki to see if the empire will help. You can either keep with your parents and stat there or tag along and work in the ships mess hall." The crew was only 57 people so he figured she'd be able to handle it. "You can chose later you've three days. Than I must head for port Yuzuki." He said easily and slowly.

Later...

They sit in the 'Rouge Wave' the orders front. He looks at Sion easily and sighs. "Sion get your family and follow me." He stand slowly slips behind the counter and down into the cellar. He needed to get everything squared away. While it was for the most part Sion and her family needed to be sworn into te order. It was a matter of secrets. The order couldn't be to carful.

Sionnach's jaw dropped in shock, her head turning immediately to face Masamoto directly. The island gone? She couldn't believe it. Again she ran a hand through her hair but stopped partway up her head and held it there, the other hand on her hip as she paced around in a small circle. Detangling her hand, she hung her head and rubbed her forehead. It was simple enough for her to assume that they were ending their travel here for the same reason why they had to abandon home with sunk her heart a little lower, but the prospects of having stability established right off the bat brought a slight hope, even if she knew there would be a catch to it most likely. What she hadn't expected was the invitation to stay aboard for a while longer aboard. She had no idea what use she would be to either the crew or captain and was a little reluctant to the idea out of uncertainty to what she would face being the odd one out on a pirate ship.

Glancing up at the captain, she rubbed her thumb against her index and middle fingers. "I'll... I'll think about it," she said finally before making haste below deck partially to speak with her parents but also to process the information she just received before the chaos of docking was upon them. Breaking the news went about as well as expected, though both were much like herself and too shocked to have any strong outward emotion about it and in some pale attempt at keeping their morale up, they smiled weakly with the hope that everything Masamoto had said would help them with minimal repercussions against them. Despite all that the man had done for them, they were still skeptical about how smooth this rocky road through this next chapter in their life would be. They remained silent when Sionnach told them about the proposition the captain gave her, but didn't show any disapproval on their faces or in their movements when she had.

The three of them followed Masamoto to the Rogue Wave as instructed, feeling rather unsure and out of place. None of them knew what to expect from here on out. Sionnach stuck close but respectably so from the captain while her parents hung back a bit having a quiet discussion of their own. "Sure," she nodded, beckoning for them to follow as she approached them. Together they went down the cellar, second guessing the decision to take up the help by how hush hush and secretive all this seemed to be.

"Brother, in shadows." He see a member waiting for me outside the hub. "Sister, in light." This was a common greeting of the order. It came down from the founders. The legendary brother and sister killers. One killed in the shadows of night the brother's part. It was the brother whom hide in shadows and protected his sister. His sister killed in open day light hence the in light. Though years of work the roles are less gender based now the greeting can be said anyway of any gender yet the point stands.

"In light of recent events the codes been changed. Watch closely you only get to see this once." She taps a fed bricks and then a giant wine barrel rolls sideways. "Thank you sister, I've got it. Peace guide you." He say slowly and leads the way. "Peace unto you brother." We might be contract killers but we still are an order as old as the empire we first came from. As I enter I see many brothers and sisters they now to us. I lead the way deeper until we reach the central chamber. It was a huge under ground lake.

The ritual happens fast at least for her parents. They only son their names unto a old scroll. However, Sion is longer. First she is given a short history of what we stand for. The art of killing, helping mankind as a whole, even through dark means. Importance of trust and working together. Then the drinking, being told the orders name, 'Red Rain' and finally she's given a headband with a cloud raining blood.

Later

After they got settled down Masamoto took Sion out and told her a great deal of things to help her understand why what happened did. Turns out Helfast has been waiting to strike and got tired. Now they'd pissed off many pirates, as well as many other lands. He told her that his offer still stand and to find him the next morning because he was going to reach her an ancient fighting style from his people to protect her.

He retired to his room in the hub and shown Sion how to enter. He now rest easily on his bed thinking of how they ever to so in dire straights.

Sionnach and her parents kept silent and let Masamoto and the other person whom he seemed to be acquainted with go about their odd routine, slowly beginning to understand the order to be a secret organization hidden out of sight to authorities and the like. She hadn't seen such secrecy amongst pirates before and wondered if pirate was really what Masamoto was or if it was a ruse to obtain more freedom in going about his true goals. Mentally noting the greeting, she also noted how the woman opened up the passage and the bricks she had tapped to reveal it. Awed by the surreal situation, they followed into the chamber, taking in its great size in wonderment.

Her parents did as told, feeling like they didn't have much choice in the matter now and signed the scroll after reading it quickly. Sionnach listened intently to what the order stood for, nodding once in a while and occasionally glancing at the other members. Accepting the drink, she drank it tentatively and then graciously took the headband, tying it so the back was under her hair and the cloud across her forehead. When things were done with, her parents retired to their room and she spent more time with Masamoto, feeling rather overwhelmed by everything she had suddenly been thrown into. Her mind certainly didn't ease to know that Helfast had been planning the attack for some time, however it did help her understand why this was happening so quickly and felt incredibly grateful for the captains help. Thanking him for everything and assuring that she would return to the underground chamber as soon as she could to take him up on that training offer, she wished him goodnight and went to her own room and changing into a nightgown.

She laid in bed for a while going through the days events little by little but focused more so on her induction into the Red Rain order and Masamoto's offer to bring her for a time onto the ship. Grabbing the headband off the end table, she looked at it for a bit while she thought, but elected to save any serious decisions for when she had a clear mind. Placing it back down on the table, she patted her sword which laid sheathed by her side under the blankets for protection and settled down into a comfortable position to sleep through what little of the night she had still.

Masamoto rest easily in the training area. It was a huge cavern it had a lark by it where a giant obstacle course. Right now he was sitting on top of the monkey bars. He was waiting for Sion. It was later in the afternoon and the lunch rush was over.

When Sion finally gets down here he stares at her. "Drop down in front of me and do 20 push ups, 10 Pull Ups and then meet me at the other end of the monkey bars." I get up and ran to the other side.

Sionnach slept in by mistake, having been completely exhausted by things. Eating a quick brunch-- even though it was past such time now for it to even be really called lunch even, she tied the headband on, equipped her sword, and raced down to the cellar. She repeated everything she had recalled regarding the greeting and such, then made haste into the inner chambers, finding Masamoto easy enough.

Intimidated a bit by the course in front of her and the sudden way the man commanded her, she was quick to fall back on her experience as a student under a harsh trainer that she had willingly endured with the old man that she had learned her sword fighting from, expecting Masamoto to run her ragged today. "Y-Yes sir, captain!" she acknowledged aloud out of habit to show she understood and accepted the command to him. Usually she would do some stretches to limber up first, but they had probably fallen behind now by a lot and performed what was demanded of her without quarrel. It had been a while since she had done such exercises, she hadn't really done much in keeping routine while she was on the ship and she could feel how much falling behind like that affected her. Even work had her fit and healthy to a degree.

Jogging over to Masamoto, Sionnach stopped and stood formally before him. "Ready for more, er, captian." She was used to saying sir, but felt that captain might be more appropriate with him.

"Alright, now meet me over at the start of the course after you've stretched. Be ready this won't be easy." He says and strolls over to the looming maze of traps and rooms. It was massive and had taken years to build.

Sionnach's jaw slacked a little, about to question the tactics but decided otherwise. "Yes, captain," she nodded and began to limber up in her usual routine. What was behind the walls of the maze, she didn't know and it had her a little on edge. The only kind of training she had ever done was sword play and rather basic obstacle courses, whatever Masamoto was going to have her endure, she knew she was going to be rather bruised up, if not worse by the time. Done with her stretches, she walked over to the maze and took a deep breath. "I've done very little in terms of... well, any of this. I've never done anything more advanced than a course built within a week before. Nothing's going to erm, beat or maim me half to death, right?" She gave a weak, questionable smile, rather reluctant but desiring to at least try and prove herself enough to not back out.

"Maybe, depends on if you listen to me and trust me. This course was made with safety features built in and I'll be inside each room to help you if you need it. Worst case, you get a few scars, best case you get a few bruises." He says and grins kindly. Nothing in this course was made to be lethal. This was just a basic course to get people set for getting people ready for what's next.

"If your ready we can start." he pushes open the door to the first room. It was fairly simple. A lake with logs sliding back and forth. The water was murky but not deep. If and when she fall in she'd be fine and just need to start again. The water was warm. This was part of an underground hot spring network. The room they were in was about as big as a normal sized bedroom.

Sionnach breathed a sigh of relief and brightened with a chuckle. "And here I thought this whole time you were going to throw me through some ungodly crash course where I'd be fighting for my life once I got down here, and before that I assumed we'd just be practicing battle techniques." Getting her confident spunk back and feeling much more at ease, she followed him into the room. Upon seeing how simple, yet challenging the task would be, she knew it wouldn't particularly be an easy feat but she had actually expected something a little... more.

More what, she didn't really know, but it was a bit underwhelming-- it had her thinking though if this was just the tip of the iceberg so to say and if she spoke too soon about the possibility of at least eventually encountering more life-risking obstacles. Given he was about to make leave in two days though for other business, she doubted she would find herself in pushed into such advanced rooms unless he thought her capable of performing the tasks with ease.

Taking a moment to look over the logs and study their movements, she honestly wasn't entirely sure how to balance herself on them to get across, but it appeared to be straightforward without any ways around it that might appear subtle and inconspicuous that she could see. Breathing deep, she made her first attempt and to a small degree, she succeeded on the first couple logs but had been too hasty with the lunge for the third and slipped off into the water.

"Augh!" she yelled, wiping her sopping wet hair out of her face. Climbing out, she wrung her hair and clothes out, then took a moment to recalculate her approach, unsure how exactly she had made it as far as she did and any attempt to recall it cut off by the sudden dunk into the water. At least it wasn't cold, she had been pleasantly surprised to feel how warm it was. Preparing herself, she tried again, failing again but getting the idea of it that she hadn't been able to grasp before. Wringing herself out again, she went through the process in her mind and pulled herself together. This time, she nimbly-- though not too gracefully, made it across with a strong bout of will and determination behind her.

Looking behind her, she grinned and placed her hands on her hips. "A small victory, but I'll take it," she chimed brightly, tilting her head. Her clothes were for the most part still dripping and she felt heavy from being water logged, but overall rather proud she didn't make too much of a fool of herself over something so frivolous for what was probably the majority of the order's first recruits.

"Haha, I suppose. Even so that's honsetly a mean joke we play on new recruites. Your the first person aside from Houki but we'll get to that later." He says and easily jumps across the logs years of this work had made this course, or most of it fairly easy.

"Now the next part here change into this." He pulls out a small black outfit similar to his. "Dry off first." He hands her a towel as well and goes over to wait by the next door facing away to be polite.

"A mean joke indeed, it's a small obstacle but definitely not one I'd put at the very beginning," Sionnach laughed, watching him hop along like he was skipping along a steppingstone path. "Psh, show off," she mocked in a friendly tone, smirking. Taking the clothes and towel, she blushed and averted her gaze after realizing he meant for her to change right then and there. "U-um, thank you," she stammered slightly. Glancing over to the now far end of the room in case anyone was in sight, she placed the fabrics down to the side and undressed. Drying off quickly, she dressed into the new clothes and then dried off her sword and hair, bundling her sopping wet clothes into the towel. Fixing the sword belt back onto her hip, she carried the damp bundle with her as she approached Masamoto again, peeking into the next room. "Ready I guess for the next challenge," she peeped up quietly.

Sionnach inspected the short wall and raised an eyebrow. She knew not to judge it by first impressions but she was a good climber and took on things a lot more menacing than this before she started assisting with management at the tavern a couple years back that sucked all her time up. Before grabbing hold of the wall, she plotted out a course on it, taking a different route than what Masamoto was beginning to take so she wasn't copying him and started her ascent.

The training takes all day. Things are slowly to come around. Sion does a good job with it all. "So, you thought about what I asked?" He leans on the bar looking over at her. "I think you should come with us and see more of the world it's a rare chance you know." He says trying to sway her into coming with him and his crew. He didn't want her to stay around here. Sionnach found the rest of the course fairly easy, frankly it was just the logs she struggled with; but she was never really that great balancing on moving objects if they weren't subtle about it. Come the next day though, she was hungry, still tired despite sleeping like the dead, and sore in about every inch of her body below the neck.

Her parents went out for a bit to get accustomed to the town they would soon be serving, deciding herself to hang around the pub to take it easy and rest her aching muscles. The staff showed her around and then began pointing out where things are, since just like the last place she and her family was to begin working here within the coming week. The server that was showing her around departed to attend to other business while she examined their stock and supplies, seeing Masamoto approach and greeting him with a friendly smile.

She was caught off guard with the question again, a bit more so this time at that to hear he was urging her to make the decision in coming with him aboard. "A-ah.. N-not yet..." she admitted with hesitation. Leaning onto the counter, slouching forward onto her arms, she pulled them in close and chewed on her cheek. "It would be nice to see the world, do something other than wait tables and pour drinks all my life," she murmured, glancing around the pub. "I'm no sailor though, let alone a pirate. I don't think I'd be much good on whatever adventure you're running off to. Why me, even? With how little experience I have, why bring me aboard?"

"Because..." He pauses a moment he wasn't sure why he felt so strongly about it. So he's just say what he could think of. "Do you really want to be stuck here. Or come and learn new things. It's not hard work, we need someone new to help in the mess hall and I could use an extra hand. I feel like this will be good for you. Why don't you want to come?" Now he flips the table on her asking the questions.

Sionnach smiled softly, listening to Masamoto's attempts to further egg her on into coming. With where she would be stationed in the galley of the ship, she felt more confident in taking the offer, but still needed to get assurance from her parents on the matter. Already though, she felt antsy and rearing to go as her imagination played out its own scenario's based on various stories she's heard from sailors over the years. Most were probably exaggerated though, but it sounded a whole lot better than this.

Sighing and running her hand along the counter, she stood tall again and looked to the captain. "Let me talk to my parents about it again. I'll meet you back here at the bar hopefully by this evening with the answer, kay?" Coming around the counter, she gave his arm a squeeze and smiled warmly at him before taking her leave. As she walked out, she couldn't help but blush a little and giggled quietly to herself. If she had to pick favorites for male friends, Masamoto would have to be her first choice. The man really wasn't as scary as widely believed once you got him into a casual situation, and she had grown fond of him since their first few interactions. Maybe she was just looking too close into it, but she wondered if there was more than simply lending a hand cooking for and serving the crew to it.

Shrugging the thoughts off before they could evolve further, she got some directions from the townspeople to the open market where her parents said they would be for most of the day. It was tremendously busy, a lot of the people mingling with each other appeared to be from out of town from the great diversity of fashions in clothing and hair; but it was easy enough for her to find them after she caught her father's familiar laugh on the wind. Joining them in their discussions and tour of the place, she spoke to them as promised and the three talked for a while about it, knowing that tonight was the last night she'd be able to make the choice if the Sea Demon was to make its leave come morning.

The day waned and soon the sun dipped as evening came. Eating out for a change with the money her father had saved up, Sionnach ran off ahead of them when the three of them began to slowly walk back to the pub, clearly excited. It didn't take long for her to make it back and with a bright bounce in her step, she skipped to the bar. "They said yes!" she chirped gleefully, standing and leaning sideways next to Masamoto on the counter.

"That's great, you should pack what you want to bring the most into one bag. Meet at the docks come morning. I must go down and oversee the final prep. See you soon." With that he hurries out followed by a few men and one women whom is dressed in armor rather like his. "Oh and bring your armor that I gave you." He says poking his head back in quickly.

Most of the night he works hard overseeing all the work that needs to get done. The course plotting. Getting latest news. Latest weather. Supplies checking over for damage. He works for a good time then left it to his crew. Now he waits for Sion to come down the hill. "Took your time didn't you?" He jokes kindly at her as she approaches.

When she finally comes down he looks at her. She has just one bag as he told her to bring. "Alright follow me." He says slowly starting upwards onto the ship. He leads her below deck and last the genral crews hold. He brings her to a small room just next to his. "That's your bed. You'll be sharing this room with Houki from the order whom ell be tagging along as well. Now you can get yourself set up I'm going to get us set off if you've no questions." Sionnach nodded and clapped her hands together, threading her fingers for a moment before bringing them back to her sides. "Right, of course; will do," she replied. Heading up the stairs, she heard Masamoto's voice again and turned, nodding again to the request. It wasn't long till her parents had returned and they helped her pack everything into a large pack that she would need that they had on hand that they could provide. Her night went well, as did the early morning when she got up and the three of them had their last breakfast before she rushed out and quickly skipped down to meet Masamoto. "Sorry!" she called out, running to his side, "Got caught up in breakfast."

Already fairly familiar with the ship, it was an easy task avoiding the busy crew as she walked with him down into the ships bowels. Stepping into the room, she could clearly see the vacant from occupied sides of the room and placed her things onto the vacant bed, looking around the small space. While she knew she probably wasn't going to have a room all to herself, it still came off as a bit of a surprise and she bore mixed feelings to it. She hadn't had a roommate before and wasn't sure if she'd even really get along with this 'Houki' person, nor really what kind of person they were like. "Um, yeah... what times of day do I go to the galley to help out? Did you have um, any particular work in mind for me or just listen to the directions of the head chef?" She'd meet Houki soon enough and get to know them then, so she focused on what her duties aboard would entail.

Sionnach thankfully understood what the captain meant by blocks from having been through the system on the receiving end and nodded. She hadn't realized though that Uncle Kent was still kicking around, she had spent most of her time in limited parts of the ship and hadn't really gotten to know the crew on a more personal level to have seen him around, nor knew he was still working the kitchen. "He's still alive after all this time? That's great to hear," she smiled, leaning against the doorway. Hearing that she was free to do as she pleased for... well just to be safe she'd only putter around till lunch and then begin work when it was time for the shift.

"I might take it easy from anything extra today, I'm still sore from training. I'll start getting to know ship life outside the kitchen tomorrow though unless anything crops up in the mean time," she assured, lifting off the wall and giving him a wave in return. "Alright, see ya tonight." Settling down on the bed, she unpacked her things and began organizing them onto her side of the room. The rest of the time she was down there, she remained in the room to rest and do a bit of light reading until it was about quarter to eleven. Since she was new to the back, she decided to head to the galley early and entered the kitchen, strutting ready and eager over to Kent when she had seen him working. "Heeeyy~" she gave the man a big wave and a friendly hug. "Masamoto's recruited me for kitchen duty. I wasn't really sure when I start, but if you guys need the help today, I'm ready."

The day went by fairly fast. Work went on shifts changed people went about there work, soon enough everyone's returning to their rooms. Masamoto had poked his head in and checked on Sion and then headed for bed.

Houki entered silently shortly after. She undid her hair and took off her face guard. She tossed her sandal like shoes aside undid her leg guards. She went about changing into her night clothes before seeing Sion. "Oh, so your the one that Masamoto has spent so much time on." Her voice is cold and icy. Sionnach dragged herself back to her room and yawned. It was early yet, but things had definitely been busy and she was eager to plop down on her bed and snuggle up in the blankets. Changing into her nightgown, she perked up and gave a weak but warm greeting to Masamoto when she saw him stop by and wished him goodnight. She was going to drift off early for bed, but had remembered when she saw the other bed and things she had a roommate and stayed up to draw in her sketchbook instead so she could greet them as well and perhaps talk a little to establish relations.

"..." Sionnach opened her mouth to say hello to Houki, but was non-verbally seemingly shot down by the complete ignorance of her presence there and patiently waited for them to finish before trying again. Only, before she could, the other had already acknowledged her suddenly in a bitter side comment that had the feistiness in the red-head come out. "Why yes, I am," Sionnach replied in a firm manner, narrowing her eyes slightly to the ninja. "I'm assuming you're Houki? I'm afraid Masamoto hasn't talked about you to me before so I can't retort with a cold reception of my own, but given we're now apparently going to be sharing this space for some time, perhaps brushing the chip off our shoulders would be in the best interest of us both?" She wasn't about to let her otherwise soft and sweet nature make her appear like a push over in first impressions on someone who appeared to be experienced and asocial, opting for a good offence to make peace quickly than a meek defense that would surely bite her back later.

Houki was a wise lady and she felt the way Masamoto felt. She had known he for some time and was protective over him. Hence the reason she'd left at the same time even though he had his men with him.

"I should warn you though, if you mess with me I'll make your life hell." Houki says and sets her book on the shelf before she settles down to sleep. "Don't wake me up either." Houki was sharp and straight forward about that part.

"What, don't trust his judgement?" she hissed, the corner of her lip twitching as she shifted a bit in discomfort on her bed. Some welcome; but she wasn't about to let the woman's sharp words cut her down. If anything, it gave her a reason to prove herself.

"Yes, your majesty," she mocked sarcastically, putting away her things and settling as well down under the covers to sleep, though with her face turned to the wall. She knew she had to be on her best behavior with the crew and this was only the first day and she would have to earn the respect of the crew as a fellow comrade, but this woman was already proving herself to be a catalyst for trouble. Sionnach had finished the breakfast rush and decided to take some time to putter around the galley as the last of the crew ate to get to know them a bit better when she noticed and heard Houki report to Masamoto. Perking up to it, she was curious to see what the commotion was about and went up deck with them, scanning quickly over the horizon until she saw the ship off in the distance. Tensing up a bit as this was her first ever encounter on a vessel with another, she rested her outstretched hands onto the side of the ship and watched.

The name Flechia was vaguely familiar, but she didn't know much about the people from there. Most of the people she served were relatively local with a scarce few from other nations-- their town wasn't exactly a prime destination for the rest of the world. By the sounds of it though, the Sea Demon was on at least tolerable terms with whoever the captain of the other ship was and she relaxed. 'Course who knows what was about to transpire, Houki was cold cut and didn't seem to favor many, the captain could have a heart of gold or one of iron and either way they could easily of been 'bitch' in Houki's eyes. "This is my first time addressing another captain and crew in such a manner as this and I'm not sure how to present myself, would it be best for relations if I returned below deck, Captain?" she asked, looking to Masamoto expectantly for guidance.

"We'll be fine. So just relax and stick around." The second half of this is spoken more carefree and easily not really worrying much about anything.

An Hour Later

It takes about an hour for the La Fawn to reach the Demon and then actually anchor along side it. The two captains are very kind and mushy when greeting one another. "Maria!" The captain is over joyed when one a younger one eyed lady steps over the planks. "Masamoto!" She cries out and they walk towards one another. Masamoto kneels down and kisses her out stretched left hand as is custom to her people. "I'm glad to see you still sail." They greet one another and chat before Maria notices the new face among the crew.

"Well hello there darling what is your name." She walks over and leans into Sions face in a flirty manner. "That's Sion, she's one of the mess staff she' a friend of mine." Maria stares at Sion a moment then just licks her lips. "Better keep a tight eye on her Masa or I might just Sweep her out from under you." Maria laughs good naturedly at Masa's angry face and offers a hand out to Sion. "A pleasure, captain Maria De Fonz of house De Fonz at your service." Masamoto snickers at this sight. "How knightly of you." He says and Houki stifles a laugh. "Oh hush now Masa, or I might just take this one in the night." She gives a flirty wink to the girl before turning to face Masamoto and Houki.

"Ah and Houki's here, lovely." She says and sighs then Houki's face gets a bit red. "You got a problem bitch." Masamoto looks at Houki and Maria just laughs. "Not really, mongrel." It was surprising, yet not for him to speak like that to her-- she imagined the ninja didn't exactly have a filter on her mouth but then again, neither did the fiery red head if you got her riled up enough; regardless of who she was speaking to. Waiting made her a bit antsy, wondering why the two crews were meeting. Whatever the reason, it wasn't something she needed to be censored from at the moment at least and such a thought had her hopeful the discussion would be little more of a meet and greet. When the other ship boarded their own and the captains greeted each other, Sionnach was more than a little off put by how vibrant the female captain was and how openly Masamoto received her in his welcoming. The way he had called the Le Fawn's captain's name had her a little irked, why she didn't know but she almost felt... defensive about it like she was jealous at how bright and upbeat he was as they conversed.

Respectfully averting her gaze from the joyous pair, she stared out towards the Le Fawn and watched as the crew on the vessel worked until her attention was suddenly arrested by the female captain; Maria was her name, apparently? Sionnach was taken completely off guard by the woman's advances and was stunned into silence, her cheeks flaring completely red as the female captain did little to keep their interest in her in her mind. She had no doubt the other probably even had an imagination to go with the voiced desires and she blushed harder at the thought of what scenarios the woman was playing in her head.

Regaining her composure, she took a deep breath and smiled, a glint of her own in her eyes as she fondly accepted the hand, shaking it firmly. Her time as tavern keeper was full of a rich but chaste flirtatious love life and it wasn't abnormal to have female admirers on top of the male ones, but it was more rare. Still, now that the shock wore off and she returned to normal, she found herself enjoying the other's company already. She couldn't help but laugh at the comment of 'being at her service' and tilted her head slightly. "Sionnach Björndóttir," she finally spoke, her accent rich and bright. "A pleasure to meet you, Maria De Fonz," she added, repeating the same formal gesture Masamoto had by kneeling and kissing the top of her hand-- even if it was the opposite one he had kissed. She didn't know if it mattered, but it was the thought that counted, right?

Giggling at the shortened name Maria gave Masamoto, Sionnach blushed again at the captains words and wink and crossed her arms, averting her gaze shyly. This was turning out to be a very entertaining day, though she honestly couldn't help but wonder if there was any truth behind the voiced desires and if she was literally going to be stolen away, even if it was just in good fun for a night-- if not longer.

While the surprises seemed to be never ending, the way Maria and even Masamoto interacted with Houki was much less questionable in her mind. Clearly her continuous assumptions were correct in that the ninja was not exactly a good wingman for social occasions, and more than just a little hot headed as she stepped back when the woman tried to take a swing at the captain. Rolling her shoulders, she waited till Houki was gone to speak up again. "She's rather scrappy, isn't she? I hate to think the conversation we're going to have tonight when we both settle down for the night," the fiery red head laughed lightly. In her mind, she was already preparing for the string of remarks that was to come about how she was being swooned over by the woman that the ninja seemed to loath so incredibly much.

"So where did you meet this lovely gem of a women, it's rare you take much intreats in living lasses." He sighs at this line and gives her a stern look. "Can you please not making it sound like I fuck corpses." He frowns at her and she laughs. "Isn't that basically what goes on with them Vamps'?" She refers to the vampiric people.

This world was full of people of all shorts. Vampiric people were very rare it was a rare disease where once you get it your lust for blood can be near uncountable. he'd used his sexual charms once or twice to escape the feeding or well, being fed upon by them. It proved to be rather... tasteful... rummors about him quickly spread around. "No, it's different they're living dead so they're not corps." He says and she sighs. "That's the same fucking thing and you know it." He just shakes his head.

Sionnach looked puzzled at the word 'living', glancing between Maria and Masamoto. This was new... and something she wasn't sure she exactly wanted to hear as Masamoto butted in with his retort. Her face flared red as the conversation continued on, cluing in on what they were talking about that had her rather flustered and in an extremely awkward position. She had heard the rumors, many of which were elaborate and lewdly spoken, but never wished to make the captain uncomfortable so she kept inquiries into his personal life to herself and never did find out if there was any truth to the stories.

Swallowing thickly, she smiled hollowly as the color in her face lessened to a warm rose. "My sincere apologies, but I just remembered I have a few things to tend to today. I will leave you both to your... business." She spoke slowly, her exit as she left to go below deck was strained and stiff. Her impression from the conversation was that Masamoto had bedded quite a few lovers, finding freedom not just on the sea but also in the sheets to do as he would with the ladies. Not that she actually thought such of him, but there wasn't much right now having her think otherwise-- regardless of whether they were living or 'living dead'.

She wasn't exactly 'pure' herself, she had a couple consorts in her past years but they never lasted long when she decided to stop dating until she found the right man for her. Whether her best friend, pirate; captain was that 'one' or not, she didn't know but the tight ache in her chest as she strode purposefully to her room was definitely telling her something was there. Entering the room and shutting the door quietly behind, she turned almost deathly calm and level, sitting on her bed in silence and began to read one of her books. She bounced back relatively well and would be normal by tomorrow if left to her own devices, but for now her thoughts felt like they had tied themselves into a thousand knots, as did her stomach. Maybe later that night, or tomorrow she'd finally ask for him to explain what really happened that started the rumors, if he appeared willing to speak about it with her that is.

The two captains chat and a catch up for a long time before Maria finally tells him why she's there. He's not to shocked and they decide they'll sail to their destination together and then make up their minds about what to do. It's a good few hours before things get on the move again.

It's not until later at dinner, the last dinner rush that the captain sees his friend Sion again he says nothing mind deep in thought. It's easy to tell that he's got something on his mind. He sits alone and starts to eat all the while not saying a word.

Sionnach was dismissed early from the kitchen once things settled down, looking rather tired and down. She found the work distracting though and continued anyways until only a few dishes needed to be made and she quietly slipped out into the dining area of the galley, crossing stares with Masamoto; to which she looked away and settled by another crew member to eat. When they finished though, herself considerably slower tonight and left to go about their own business, Sionnach felt a bit flighty like the room suddenly became larger and more empty.

Several times, her eyes traveled subtly to Masamoto, feeling rather concerned for him the way he presented himself. No doubt it was her fault for his change in demeanor, Maria's visit was so upbeat, there couldn't be any other explanation unless the female captain was just that good at flipping her mood between joyful and serious like a switch. Why was she letting them both suffer like this? When she was nervous, she did tend to clam up and open again rather slowly, but this was a situation where communication was clearly necessary-- but her courage was fleeting and this was on her. A troublesome scenario.

Sighing exasperatedly, Sionnach finished a few more bites of food and drank them down before bringing the plate and tankard over to Masamoto and sat down near him. She stayed quiet for several moments picking at her bread before looking over to his own plate rather than his face as she spoke up. "Forgive me if I offended either Maria or yourself with my leave earlier today. I hope I didn't hurt any relations between you two by doing so." Falling quiet again, she started poking the food with her fork now as she slouched onto an arm on the table, looking around at the emptying room. She didn't feel like this was the best place for such sensitive conversation though, even if people were trickling out little by little.

Sitting straight again, she ran her hands along her thighs and turned her head just slightly to Masamoto. "Can I, um. Can I talk to you... about the conversation between Maria and yourself somewhere private?" There was apprehension in her voice, her body shivering faintly.

"Follow me." He stands and heads for his room once they reach it they enter and he sits on his bed and looks at her a blank face on. He sighs then speaks. "What do you want to know?" He ask slowly looking her over. He was trying to get a guess at what she wanted to know. He really wasn't sure and was already thinking of what he should and shouldn't tell her.

Sionnach swallowed uncomfortably again and quietly followed, uncaring for the occasional looks they got. Not many looked in their direction, but there was an air to at least herself that was rather downcast. When they came to Masamoto's room, she took the time to look around absentmindedly and leaned against a dresser, rubbing one of her arms as she tried to ease her nerves. She stared at the floor in thought, then slowly up to him and she pursed her lips before relaxing her features. "It's... a frivolous thought, but it's been bothering me since Maria went off about it and... A lot of rumors used to pass by me day by day and I never put much stock into them. Of course you; you were no exception to these stories, but I knew you to be much kinder and more restrained when it came to... their content."

Taking another moment to piece together her the next jumble of thoughts into proper sentences, she smiled weakly very briefly and rolled her shoulders, averting her gaze from hm. "Forgive me for any intrusion from my question, I know it's certainly not appropriate nor any of my business, and I understand if you refrain from answering or keep it without detail and short but..." She grazed her teeth along her bottom lip in discomfort, feeling like backing out while she still could but she had gone this far, there was little room to turn back.

"What... what has your love life been like? I-I mean, like; do you hold relationships and a sense of commitment to a single individual in high regard, or do you tend to favor the free-spirited approach to love and tend to see partners come and go?" Her voice was rather quiet but still audible. Keeping it low was all she could do to keep it from possibly breaking mid-way as she felt her emotions retract in fear and worry. Neither had expressed any sort of interest before-- least not that she could see or tell, and wondered if all her fretting was for naught. She wasn't even sure of herself and yet she was digging this pit between them, or that's what it felt like in her heart and mind over affairs she had no business butting her nose into.

"Eh, honestly love never really mattered that much to me. I want to find that 'one person' but until I do I might as well enjoy myself. If you're wondering about Maria and myself. We tend to have a go at it every now and then. Though so do myself and Houki. You must understand that in my line of work life can be rather short. Both my work as a pirate captain and an assassin or ninja as my people call us. We just try and find and enjoy life when we can. I mean if I found someone I could honestly say I love I'd stop the flings and settle down." He sits up now and looks at her measuring her face as he does.

"Well, I can be a bit more narrowed, I understand the idea of marriage but it really matters little to me. Loving a person isn't about rings and what not. It's about a man and a women, women and a women or even a man and a man loving one another. If they do they is no problem. Believe it or not some of the lads among the crew are married." He says slowly giving her further things to think about or ask about. He was going off on a tangent but is able to stop himself.

"Why worried someone will steal me from you?" He lets out a good hearted laugh at this. He short of shifts his weight a bit as he speaks this. He didn't quiet understand the uneasy feeling that was starting to creep into him but she was deep down making him think about how he felt. Not just about her but the way he's lived all this time.

Sionnach felt the words bittersweet, but she understood where he was coming from and didn't exactly mind that he was open to the idea of exploring until that 'one' came along. Given her own ways, it would be rather hypocritical actually if she found offense to how he once in a while indulged here and there in such desires. The thought of him and Houki together made her incredibly nervous though and she did her best to keep neutral, finding should she too ever pursue him, she would have the wrath of that woman come down upon her.

She pushed it out of her mind and took a deep breath as he continued on, finding his views on marriage and love quite admirable and it brought some comfort to her. It was nice to hear others with a similar mindset, though she did grow up with quite a bit of talk over getting married from her parents who pushed it often until they started needing her in the tavern working. Married life would of given her little time to help them out so they dropped it when she became a real asset to keeping the place afloat and complained only a little at her constant flirting with friend and stranger alike. It paid the bills and they weren't religious so it didn't go entirely against their grain of acceptance.

"You're a kind man, Masamoto," she spoke quietly, smiling with a slight warmth. Looking around the room, color flushed into her cheeks at the question of himself being stolen from her. From her. She laughed meekly at it, going along with the jest even though the feeling in her reacted rather differently to it. "N-No, I mean, that would be silly... right? What you do with yourself, with erm, others... that's your business, not mine," she fumbled through her hasty words, the blush darkening. "I care about you a lot... t-that's all." Twirling a long lock of hair around her finger, she looked back to the captain, the smile a bit warmer, though more shy. Bringing her gaze down to his feet, she chewed on her lip a little. "I um, guess I should probably go and let you get back to your business now. I'm sorry I pulled you away for this."

For my village you will tag along as a apprentice of me. Then for the second half of the trip Maria will be showing you some ways to defend yourself. I feel there is a dark tide ahead of us." With that he slides out and starts for the helm of his ship.

Sionnach smirked and closed her eyes, chuckling as well as he pat her head. She cracked an eye and raised her eyebrow as he walked to the door. Whatever words she was expecting, the ones he gave weren't exactly them, but it brought her mostly back to her old self with the accompanying gesture. "Good," she replied curtly, turning to follow him out and go about trying to figure out what to do with herself till she grew weary and ready for bed. "Home village?" she repeated curiously, perking up. This was new. She only just entered the 'Red Rain' order and now she was going to see where Masamoto had been raised. Born too maybe, she wasn't sure on that part-- the guy seemed secretive to her about his origins.

The more he talked, the wider her eyes got and she had to consciously keep her jaw closed. "E-Empress, capitol??" she yipped in surprise. She hadn't the faintest idea what might be descending upon them, nor the trip or its success through sea, village, and capitol; but she was thankful she would be getting combat lessons for ship life from someone so she would at least be prepared if they found themselves in dire straits. Deciding to follow him up deck, she tagged along while he barked orders, waiting for him to finish giving his crew tasks to do before speaking again. "By apprentice, what do you mean by that? I know about the Red Rain now and sure, I'm an official member, but that's about all I know and really am. I'm by far ill prepared to do your name and reputation justice and honor in your birth lands as apprentice. Brushing her hair behind her shoulders, she tilted it back and enjoyed a breeze that was flowing past. She didn't have an inkling that his words about a smooth sail from here on till the village was going to be quite the opposite. "Captain! Helfast ship on the skyline! They're alone, they are flagging us to stop." He tilts his head towards Maria's ship because she is only a bit of a way. "Maria, you up for this?" He looks over at her and she smiles. "Aye, let's go!" With that she launchs off some shots from her mortars.

"Lads, get the guns ready!" He calls out and looks at Sion. "Get below deck things are going to be a bit rough find Houki and stay with her." He says and spins the wheel from Maria's ship to make it harder to fire at them both.

Sionnach smiled cheerily at Masamoto and turned her gaze to look out on the ship from her vantage point, watching everyone work like ants-- though the thought was far from what that phrase was often used as, an insult. No, definitely not in that light did she think them as, but rather commending their hard working attitudes and ability to work as a united force like ants. She almost envied it, feeling like an extra cog in the machine with nowhere to go-- even if she did actually have a place keeping them fed three times a day. The dynamic between her and the kitchen was still new though and she was a bit slow yet trying to get into the rhythm of things with them.

Peering over to Maria's ship, she grinned when she saw the female captain and averted her gaze, looking around the open horizon when she saw another ship not entirely too far off as one of the crew members shouted out the discovery. Her hair stood on end when she heard the name 'Helfast' and knew this wasn't going to end well if they met each other instead of veering off past whatever waters they were restricted to-- if any. Immediately she could feel the thrill and energy in the air as both pirate ships readied themselves and she felt utterly lost to what she could to to aid them. She couldn't man a cannon, her footwork on a rocking ship would probably send her overboard, and her current skills probably paled against real soldiers.

"H-Houki?!" Sionnach yipped at the name. "Don't you need her up top!?" Grabbing hold of the rail as the ship suddenly began to turn sharply, she shook her head. "N-Nevermind, I'll go find her," she finished, working her way down the stairs onto the quarter deck and then below into the ships bowels to look for her. Whether his intentions was to stay with the ninja to keep herself safe, or if Houki simply didn't fight these kind of battles, she didn't exactly know but sought her out anyways; starting with their room first.

"I figured he'd send you down here to moment the shout went out." She pulls Sion in and closes the door. "For now try and rest. That's all we can do." Houki says sitting back on her bed. She wasn't really worried this should prove easily for Masamoto.

"Well considering both the Le Fawn and Sea Demon are opening fire on the Helfast ship out there, I'm not entirely surprised myself for being sent below deck," Sionnach replied a bit coldly, her demeanor completely changing upon the interaction. She was still startled by everything, but it almost seemed second hand now. Though, the lax disposition of the ninja did have her feel confident that this might be a quick fight in the pirate's favor-- unless Houki's emotions only ever consisted of different shades of indifferent and angry.

"Shouldn't you be up there, though?" he decided to ask, genuinely curious to why she was relaxing down here. "I mean, when Masamoto asked for me to find you, I assumed either he expected you to keep me safe or to have you come up top to fight." The thought of Houki actually giving a care for her well being beyond because that's what her captain wished almost had the corners of her lips twitch as she internally scoffed at herself. With not much for her to do till things blew over or hell broke loose in the ship, Sionnach sighed and sat down on her own bed, keeping an optimistic mind about the outcome of the struggle; pushing any thoughts of the men and women on board the Helfast ship buried deep so they wouldn't trouble her.

"Well the thing about our captain, no the thing about my childhood friend is that his ship wasn't named by him alone. I'm not sure if you know what his codename is but that's what they named the ship after. He's a terrible man when in battle he's no stranger to violence as you've seen. That however isn't what got him his nickname. His nickname is Archfiend. His family many years ago, they worshiped the seven." She refers to the seven Archfiends those whom once ruled over man and blessed those that followed and punished those who didn't for the most part their followers are dead, but rummors of a few living still remain.

"His family were killed by the clan because it was forbidden to practice worship of the seven. He was spared because he was only seven at the time. Later though, he showed signs of the seven having taken a shine to him..." She says trailing off remembering that day all those years ago. "The elders only noticed it once he was done with training and took to the seas. He fights like the devils themselves." Again she refers to the seven but by their common name. "The elders choice that he was to risky to live. They sent two of the five to end him. He killed them without mercy. One of the two was my father." She says and thinks if she should go any further. "Long story short, my father was the eldest of the five. So it was my choice as his eldest to chose the fate of Masamoto." She says and shudders at the thought of how hard that choice was.

"We'd grown up togther and while I couldn't forgive him for killing my father, nor could I forgive my father for not talking to me. I promised to watch over him and make sure if and when the Archfiends offer him powers beyond human means that he won't take them and become the eight of the seven." She says and lets it sink in, no doubt hearing that their friend was being watched by the seven devils and could be the ancient lost 8th was a shock.

Above Deck

"Haha, send them to their fates!" Masamoto slowly runs and jumps over onto the ship as the sea devil sails by he's followed by few of his men, the gallon was shot to hell and couldn't move. Now he, Maria and their crews were going to make sure they didn't get away. Maria starts in and lets loose.

Masamoto even more so as he kicks a barrel down and sends it rolling towards a few of them, then rushes at another group trying to get a life boat into the water. "Where are you going?" His voice is filled with venom as he cuts one down and stabs another.

Sionnach's attention was at first not quite on Houki when she began, but as the conversation deepened, it wasn't long before she was fixed on the other woman. Resting against the headboard, she didn't look at the ninja beyond the occasional glance, but she was absorbing the information to the best of her ability. Again as with much of the most recent events she's come to experience and learn, she didn't entirely understand who the 'Archfiends' were as she hadn't been told the stories behind them, but it was a name she understood well enough that it had her unsettled.

It wasn't the only thing that had her trying to swallow a lump in her throat down however, but also what Masamoto went through in his childhood, unable to possibly fathom what kind of man he really was behind the kind and boisterous demeanor he had only ever shown her. To also learn that the two were childhood friends and that their past was both intimate according to the captain, and distraught with bloodshed by Houki's elaboration to the history between them, she felt confused to how and why they could of possibly become so close in that regard; but also now felt rather sympathetic to her. No doubt she had been hardened by loss and battle, as well as keeping eye on the pirate captain should he ever become an Archfiend himself.

Heaving a rather heavy sigh, Sionnach closed her eyes and remained silent for a time. Finally, with a faint voice, she spoke up with two rather simple, curt questions. "How do you intend to stop him when they propose their offer to him? Is there a way, perhaps if you would be willing to accept my aid in it, to prevent it from happening without ending his life?" Her heart went out to Masamoto at the thought, her mind heavy with the prospect that Houki would have no choice but to slay the man. She felt helpless right now regarding the ninja's duty, wanting already to help even though she didn't entirely understand the situation and what it would entail, and knowing full well it wasn't even her place to involve herself in such personal matters; but if she could do something to change the final outcome for the better, maybe that could be her goal and place on this ship and at the man's side.

"Simple actually." Houki perks up now happy to be able to tell this to someone. "The Archfiends can only give power that will corrupt if the person desires it. Even then there's a way to stop it. It's very simple. The key is," Houki leans over just a bit and in a whisper she smiles. "Friends." Houki lights up at it.

"While it might seem clichè the Archfiends have no greater a weakness then when mortals come togther to help one another. It's what sealed them in the first place. If you want to help, treasure Masamoto the way he treasures you and the rest of the crew." Houki is unsure if weather to keep going; but she does. "They know of his problem. They all care for him. He's their beloved captain and to him they are his precious crew." She slowly stands up and goes for the door. "After all it's only a matter of time before they make their offer. Helfast has sped that up." She says opening the door.

"He's more than likely finished up above so we can go join him." She says starting her way out and up. She wasn't sure what to find but she's sees him as he climbs back abored.

"Ah hello you two, I hope things went well on your end Houki." She nods at him. "Yup she's fine." Maria now slips around from behind Masamoto. "A pity your still alive." Houki flips off Maria and Masamoto laughs. Both girls look at him and smile. They seemed much more light hearted then before. "At any rate. Set course for Wu'mong!" He gives the order and people jump and begin to move.

Later, Wu'Mong

The rest of the trip goes by in a similar fashion more Helfast ships more Helfast die. Once or twice Sion sees the little bit of influence the events of his childhood sowed into him. When he fights it's easy to see the Archfiends fancy him. The way he just guts most foes so carefree. "So now we begin the trip up into the valley. First Houki got your lamp?" He ask pulling forth his.

"Yes right here." She pulls hers forth as well. They were for clearing the fog and the things that dwell within it. The village and way to it was always covered in it. The lamps at rest stops were far and few between also not always lit.

The village few mines were for Meltuima the singal rarest matiral on the planet. The mines in the village were huge and held a guessed 47% of it. The village burnt very little of it. They only need a 0000000.000000001 fraction of a 1 1/2 inch block to fuel the lamps. It was very potent.

"Good, so any questions before we enter? Sion? Maria?" Maria shakes her head it wasn't the first time she's been brought up this path. She knew what she needed to. So his eyes rest on Sion.

Sionnach was a little off put by how suddenly Houki perked up and that it was actually happy and not some sour remark or serious tone to their voice. At first though the way they were speaking, she was preparing for a mocking answer but was surprised to hear the single word 'friends'. That was it? Friends was the means to keep him from accepting the offer? She side eyed Houki in disbelief, ready to scoff it off, but the explanation made sense-- or at least as much sense as it could. Sighing lightly, the red haired woman warmed up to the ninja and smiled softly. "I already treasure him a great deal. Perhaps more than I can explain..." the last bit she muttered quietly, almost to herself as a light blush crossed her face.

She was happy when Houki stood up and went to the door, thankful that they wouldn't have time to linger on the moment and quickly rose to join the other in seeing the damage above deck. When she cleared the decks floor, Sionnach looked around and saw everything and everyone intact. Noticing Masamoto climbing back onto the ship, she had half a mind to ask what had prompted him to jump off but thought the better, not particularly keen to know what went on. Knowing that it was her the man was speaking about, she smiled fondly at him and gave a timid wave, slightly disconcerted by what she knew of him now and despite her best efforts, shy and a tad distant. Taking the moment when Maria popped up and the two other women greeted each other in their own ways, she cleared her throat and took shine to Maria again. "Glad to see you're both alright," she spoke sweetly, glancing between the two captains.

Staying with everyone else above deck, but keeping distance from the fighting, Sionnach regretted the decision when she saw the crews of the numerous ships, pirate and otherwise clash, but kept careful eye on Masamoto regardless. Stories of such battles were one thing, but her stomach twisted to see him fight in person and more than once she turned away to settle the unrest in her gut. When they had cleared the danger and began entering a fog, she reunited with everyone and listened curiously to what was happening next. Having absolutely no idea, as usual, to what was going on, she was quite attentive to learn... only to be merely asked if she bore any questions. With a flat look, she couldn't help but give him a stare like he was forgetting she hadn't the faintest clue to what was due to happen to them from here. "Uhm, yeah... considering I'm still quite new to all of this, I'm going to need another crash course before we go sailing or trudging off in uh, wherever we are right now," she answered plainly, placing her hands on her hips.

"We're going up this vally of fog to my home village. This fog kills if inhaled. But these lamps push it away much like a magnet in a compus to another magnet. The things in the fog are even worse. Stay within the circle and keep your eyes on me. You're in the middle with Maria, me at the front and Houki at the back." He speaks and starts forward let's go, I'd rather get there before nightfall." He calls as the fog starts to part around him.

Sionnach's mind was growing weary from always jumping up in surprise to things and events these past few days, but it seemed rest was not quite yet to be had. Hearing the fog was by what she assumed poisonous even though he didn't explain what made it lethal, she swallowed and looked on at the ominous veil before them. Possessing no lantern of her own, she was quite apprehensive about entering with the thought of lethal fog and god knows what somehow surviving and lurking in its mists. Obliging at a moments notice, already having full intention to practically cling to the experienced female captain, she fell into place with Maria and tentatively linked arms with the woman, walking rather close beside as if she would be safer that way. "I hope you, um... don't mind. I'm a little timid of this place after those sorta warnings," she said meekly to the other, smiling thinly at them.

"Don't worry, Masa knows this path, oh yes that reminds me, when we get to the village you need to address him Archfiend. His name is forbidden to be spoken. It's the price he paid for being left alone." She says and speaks no more not wanting to dwell on it.

Several Hours Later

They reach the large gate that splits Tazu village from the fog. "Sister in light!" He calls out, it was always one of the light walkers who maned the gate. He could see it was a women from where he was. Lanterns burning Meltuima light the wall so it could be seen.

"Archfiend that you?" She shouts down to him. "No it's the Nightwalker come calling!" He laughs at this but the lady doesn't. "Actually, Archfiend go see elder sneering bull about that. We've got a problem." She says as the gate opens. Once inside the village they blow out their lateens. The walls were made of Meltuima kept the fog from the village. Well it was mixed with Iron. Meltuima was extremely potent and even more so if mixed with Iron.

"Archfiend, we'd best go see the elders." Houki says and Masamoto nods. "Maria to my home, we shall meet you there. Start lighting lanterns and set up the rooms." She nods and unhooks herself from Sion. "Go with Masa." She says giving her shove towards him as they walk towards a massive estate.

Sionnach agreed to the terms that she would have to abide by in reference to Masamoto and fell into silence for the rest of the trip, not particularly eager to sit on the topic either and having little else she cared to discuss. It didn't really seem like anyone else considering who the company consisted of would be exactly good chatting buddies besides Maria herself, but again Masamoto and Houki seemed to be the quiet types when on a mission as simple as trekking through the fog that surrounded them.

Too accustomed to ship life after the previous fortnight she had spent straight aboard the vessel, her legs were aching by the time they made it to the village and she breathed an exasperated sigh, half ready to crumple to the ground and settle down where she sat in exhaustion. If not for the intimidating walls, the danger of the mist, and the unseen threat lurking within, she surely would of in an instant when they stopped and 'Archfiend' spoke to the woman by the gate entrance.

Silence as her best friend in this strange place with their equally strange customs, Sionnach refrained from asking a string of questions as they entered the village and looked around curiously once inside. "W-Whah!" she yipped when Maria pushed her. Keeping on her feet by will alone, she pointed between Maria and Masamoto quizzically, unsure if she really should. Looking expectantly for further guidance from Maria, she resigned her protesting thoughts and hurried to Masamoto's side. "U-Um... Maria said I should go with you. I'm not sure if it's wise of me to if you're both going to see the elders, but I will if that's what you'd have of me." Her voice was quiet and directed to both the captain and Houki, desiring their judgement in the decision as well in case it was preferred if she was to stay out of whatever matters they were addressing.

"Yes it'd be best." He says as he pushes open the gate into the compound. He walks with a swift pace and is greeted by many of the villages best. "Welcome home Archfiend and Lady Houki!" The many men and women in their ninja garb or Kimonos bow as they walk past. This was normal. Houki had acutally given Masamoto a high status in the village he was what they called a black spot. He reported right to her. As they walk along it's silent aside from the swoosh of bows. As they go to the far back of compound Houki enters first. "Brothers, sister we've returned." She enters and is followed by Masamoto. "Now, what is this of the Nightwalker?" She ask not wasting a moment.

"Best?" Sionnach repeated. Was he trying to get her involved in whatever was afoot in the world? All the signs thus far pointed to yes and she wondered now if his intentions to bring her aboard were much more than just a helping hand around the ship. Mentally preparing herself for the ill news she was sure to be hearing, as well as any scrutiny and criticism for god knows what she was probably due to hear any minute now by the elders and any of their court... gathering, whoever was by their sides, she walked past the bowing people. Stepping into the building behind Masamoto, she took a deep breath and gathered her resolve to create an air about her that exuded both strength and respect in herself and for everyone around her. She would be polite, but she wouldn't allow herself to appear like a meek little lamb either; she was a Björndóttir! Daughter of the bear! Though this past while she certainly hadn't been showing much of that proud fierceness she was known at home for.

Masamoto nods at that and thinks for a moment. "Houki what you think we should do?" She looks to him and thinks for a moment.

"Well with our powers we should be able to kill it, I say we set a trap wait and then kill it." Masamoto nods and the elders seem okay by their plan. "Very well, know Archfiend whom is this guest you've brought back to us?" They look at him and he simply pushes her forwards hoping she'll understand and introduce herself.

Sionnach listened intently on the plans being made to catch whatever this... Nightwalker thing was. Her thoughts automatically assumed it to be a beast, but given this land was rather strange and ripe full of opportunities looking to prove her wrong, she didn't let the thought that it was something potentially supernatural or non-human but maybe bearing some degree of sentience flutter past her.

Perking up to now being the center of attention, she refrained from giving Masamoto a sour look she would of surely otherwise done for being pushed in front of such esteemed leaders. The primary reason being that he was clearly someone of high standing himself here. Giving a formal bow to the elders, Sionnach stood tall and spoke. "I am Sionnach Björndóttir, formerly a humble barkeeper and for a few years now, friend to Archfiend." She was unsure whether to mention the Red Rain organization as it was a secret gathering and thus refrained from such, leaving her introduction simple.

"Trouble with your people and in your land is not my intention. I will observe and respect both your culture and authority so trouble does not occur within your village and under your care." Turning around now, she eagerly left the building, feeling her legs turn weak from fatigue.

"I'm so tired I could probably fall asleep right on the ground in the middle of town if someone put a pillow and blanket down, and permission to do so," she groaned once they weren't in the presence of any other villagers. Knowing her luck they'd probably do so just because they could, though the elders probably wouldn't find it amusing, nor any carts with beasts of burden walking by.

"Sounds great," Sionnach chuckled lightly, noting that the captain was taking his shoes off at the door. Oh, hm? A curious but comfortable custom, she thought to herself when he told her to wear a pair of the nearby slippers. Back home, slippers and shoes were optional and both tended to be equally worn or not at all in her own home at least, much to the annoyance of her mother when dirt was tracked in. The memory made her giggle a little to herself.

Sleepily, she followed Masamoto to her room and she opened the door, standing in the doorway now. The room looked cozy and the bed quite welcoming, even if it was almost to the ground and more like a large cushion draped over wood than a mattress. She was thankful that she wouldn't be literally sleeping on the ground either way. "Bath?" she chirped up, reflexively checking herself out to find she wasn't exactly the best smelling or looking from the arduous journey. "I think I may need one of those in the morning," she joked with a bright laugh.

"Alright, night Ma-- Archfiend." She was about to use the same nickname 'Masa' that Maria had used before which she had found rather cute, especially considering he always called her 'Sion', but caught herself when she remembered he was Archfiend here. Waving to him, she entered her room and closed the door behind, undressing immediately and curling up in the soft bed. It was flat, but not uncomfortably so and it didn't take long for her to crash out as she expected of herself into sleep.

Masamoto slowly walks along the street followed by Houki. Maria and Sion had gone off to some where Maria was showing her around. She was a welcome person here. Most consider her Masamoto's wife or at least one of them. It was a joke, Masamoto had always been fairly lucky with the ladies. No doubt Maria was telling her about the many different women Masamoto's had come here with him.

"And then, just when Archfiend thought he had gotten away without any trouble, her highness's royal guard burst in. The empress however manged to wave them off and that's why as you've more then likely notice Archfiends a bit uneasy. The royal guard are always on higher alert when we dock here." She is telling the story of how Masamoto had ended up in bed with the empress. It wasn't the first time nor the last he'd take to bed with a royal. "Hey what's on your mind, you've been pretty quiet." She says looking over at Sion with worry.

Sionnach woke up rather uppity and early, equal parts worried that oversleeping would skew whatever plans there were for the day, but also because she was strangely excited to see this new 'world'. Being able to travel and see other places was what she wanted and now she finally had the chance to do so, regardless of the conditions and reasons. Finding the baths proved to be a little troublesome but she had done so and cleaned up, taking attention to her clothes which she cleaned the sweat-stained areas in particular and dried them furiously between the folds of a towel. She was hungry but pushed it down for the time being as she regrouped with everyone and took her leave to be escorted with Maria for some sight seeing around the village.

At first she was enjoying her time, observing the residents as they went about their daily lives. They were quite hospitable too and she took a moment to speak to one who had some cured fish, procuring some and a bowl of freshly prepared rice from them after trading a bit of coin in her pockets. It didn't take long for her to practically scarf down the food and she reminded herself to give the bowl and utensils back when they walked by the tiny little shop again. Her mood gradually declined and turned a bit awkward when Maria began to talk about Masamoto's love life, though she couldn't blame Maria for it, she seemed to be the kind of woman who would gossip about every nitty gritty detail about anything remotely juicy about someone. It was hard though for her to stay perky when for some reason the talk made her heart twist.

Coming out of her respite to the sudden shift in topic, Sionnach shook her head slightly and blinked, smiling thinly. "Well, mmm..." She wasn't sure if it was something she could trust to Maria, especially given she and Masamoto were potentially sort of on and off, if things had progressed any further than what probably started as a one night fling. The mutterings of the locals that she had picked up in little bits and pieces kept making her out to be involved with the man, which was most certainly not the case, but it didn't help things. Sighing defeatedly, the red-head licked her lips. "I'm not something I'm comfortable to discuss in public, but it's too frivolous to even bother with in the first place really. Just thoughts of a tired woman thrown from a rather ordinary life into one ripe with peril and fantasy. I probably just need rest and time to sort out the affairs to come-- my training and the like that I've learned I'm to receive from yourself, and the wealth of information I've come to obtain about Archfield such as the reasons behind that name to list one; it has been a trying few days on my body and emotions alike."

Shrugging lightly, Sionnach brushed her brooding out of her mind. "I should probably return this to that shopkeeper before I forget and it goes missing." Turning around, she dismissed herself from the conversation, though she knew this wouldn't be the end of it; but for the current moment she didn't want to pursue it further when anyone, including Houki and Masamoto, could eavesdrop on them and she walked back the way they came to try to find the shop again.

As if everyone had jumped in union to the same page, she perked up to hear Maria was setting sail for home and gaped a little. She didn't say anything on the matter as it was important that word got out, but she could feel a bond between the woman and herself that had her much more at ease than otherwise and was greatly saddened to know she wouldn't have that now. Perhaps it was for the best though, her words seemed to be more willing to dance on her tongue to her than she'd like.

Sighing resignedly, she smiled to the captain. "Take care of yourself, yeah? Archfiend's voted you up to be my swordsman trainer at some point in the near future. Guess he want's only the best teaching me," she mused, approaching her side and leaning in to whisper the last sentence so Masa and Houki wouldn't overhear the joke and take it the wrong way. Sionnach happily accepted duty as sentry, settling herself beside the comforting lantern, a literal beacon in a sea of poisonous mist that she had absolutely no intention of exploring even a few steps extra of in curiosity. Of which, truthfully, there was regarding a desire to see the Nightwalker first hand. High on alert, she scanned her surroundings time to time and waited patiently with not a sound from any direction that wasn't simple ambiance. When Masa and Houki returned, she followed them back and oddly soon after, they were already on their way further in to the Capital.

Ship life was normal and she became better adjusted as a member of the crew, gradually being welcomed by them as someone more than a fine vixen who served them drinks after long trips at sea. To a couple, she had also become close friends with them and spent much of her time when she wasn't working or resting in her room lending a hand around the ship conversing with them when they too were on breaks. It also wasn't long before the awful twisting in her chest subsided and she mellowed out, returning back to the way she was before it all began; but with the understanding now that she held a very strong fondness for Masa, and it was that which had her so terribly pained, though she didn't let those feelings get in the way of their friendship.

Reaching the Capital, it was both an exciting and harrowing time for her. Sionnach had never been to such a massive place before, or dealt with nobility of this caliber. Nothing she picked out from her things seemed formal enough, and settled instead for something comfortable but presentable. Following Masa and Houki now after a beeline trip through town, she gaped in awe at the structure before her, as well as its interior as they walked with purpose. Merely giving a nod to Masa when she was told to play along with things, she politely glanced to guards and smiled with a respectful nod as they made their rounds to cater to some business before meeting with the Empress herself.

The next morning was rather different, whatever spurred Houki to give her pointers, she wasn't sure but they began in the fighting form the ninja had learned in, practicing basic gestures. "What's chi again?" she asked as she tried to mimic the movements. Feeling a deep sense of nostalgia being home again, she reminisced over the place as if it had been years, not months since they had been here last. The place wasn't in the best condition, but after a little work from the townspeople rebuilding, it was at least in working order again. Back behind the bar like good old' times, she worked her magic serving up drinks and enjoyed a couple herself. Though it was good to be back in the old life again, she felt strangely distant towards it, like it wasn't her anymore. Her new life wrought with travel and danger, freedom and thrill was a dream come true and she rather enjoyed it.

"Well it's a nice sight to see that your slipping back into life fairly easily." Maasmoto enters the bar slowly. He'd been away sticking it to Helfast again. There was a fleet gathering in the harbor for a big hit on one of the Helfast cities not that far away from the island it was about thirty miles to the north of the island they were on. "So, anything new and big going on around here?" He ask sliding up to the bar joined by Kendrick and Maria Houki was off overseeing re-stocking and resupplying of the ship. "Also grab Me Ken and Maria our regulars." That mean a Whiskey for Ken, Black Wine for Maria and Masamotos Rum & Brandy on the rocks.

Sionnach greeted the three captains brightly when they came in, smiling warmly. "Well, when you've done the same thing in and out nearly everyday for most of your life, it's pretty easy to fall back into the routine again." Pulling out glasses and serving up their usuals as requested, she handed them over and leaned against the counter. "Aside from town trying to build itself back up and get some semblance or order again, not really. Life's almost the same as it was, the only difference being that it's a little worse for wear. We're hardy folk, takes a lot to keep us down and out. How 'bout you guys? Been a bit now since we went our separate ways."

"Mostly we're leading raids on Helfast. We've manged to push them out of occupied nations and city states. We're going to hit them in their own lands next. We are starting with that city that's to the north by thirty-five miles. You can tag along to help if you like?" Her ask slowly and Kendrick laughs. "Oh good lord, Maria is right you are sweet on her!" Kendrick begins to crack up. "Oh boy, little lass you've really caught a shark on a fishing line here." Kendrick laughs harder now. "I've only seen a few manage to get Masamoto to fall for em'!" He laughs and takes another sip of his drink Maria just laughs lightly.

Sionnach tilted her head with an audible 'hm?' sound, surprised to hear the request. She didn't manage to get any words in though before Kendrick butted in and went on about things she hadn't the faintest clue about. Masa hadn't ever shown such interest in her that Kendrick was being rather blatant about and she had moved on, focusing on trying to become independent and living on her own as she rebuilt her life just as the townsfolk rebuilt their own. Deciding not to further the conversation between Kendrick and herself and possibly making it more embarrassing-- if such was possible, for Masa, she merely smiled sweetly to the gruff man in a curt manner and made a respectful dip of her form to Masa in acknowledgement to his request.

"I do admit, I miss the sea more than the life of a barkeeper, and I would be willing to lend my blade to the cause if it meant bringing proper justice to those who would do the innocent harm; but I am not sure taking your offer would play in my favor unfortunately. In the short time you have been gone, I have been working on trying to get on my feet and things are still rather unsteady at the moment-- I can't afford to risk all I have gained in my time here if I was to return as I left." Not that the idea of returning to resume this drab life a third time was exactly appealing, but she didn't want to impose and ask to be a member of any of the three captains crew.

"Well we'll be leading the charge and this will be the last time more then likely we return for some time. You've till morning to decide if we wait any longer we'll lose our chance." He pushes his chair out and sets down a few dollars and they all saunter out leaving Sion, Masamoto is a bit slower to leave the bar. He looks back for a moment then walks out the door and towards the docks.

"Masamoto, you know this might be your last chance." Kendrick puts a hand on Masamoto's chest. "You should tell her, I don't think you'll get another chance." Maria says and no one could even begin to understand how he felt right now. His mind was a whirlwind weather or not he should actually tell her. They both walk off and Masamoto is left to thinkn.

"S-Sure, I'll think about it," Sionnach told Kendrick, taking the money and putting it away, placing everyone's glasses in the sink and wiping the ring marks away as the captains finished their drinks. She was rather somber now and dimly waved the three off as they trickled out, giving Masa a thin smile when he turned to look back, and moved on to help the few other customers that were around in the tavern. Sighing wistfully, she was quiet for the rest of her shift, turmoil whether to escape the monotony of town life or keep it to ensure stability of her livelihood filling her mind. Obviously stability came before adventure and staying behind was the logical answer as much as she hated it, but even with that knowledge, it was a hard decision to make.

Finishing her shift, it was late evening now and she still had a small abundance of energy, the bar having remained in a fluctuating few to half of its capacity with everyone too busy working to drink, nor possessing the money to spend so frivolously even if there was time for such a breather. With nothing to do and her parents, who had returned with her back to the town to settle once again in their quaint house knowing that she had taken to wandering town more often than not now on any given day, she did just that and meandered through the streets. For the most part, it was quiet with everyone beginning to return to their homes; but those without and others who were dedicated and long workers were still out doing errands, loitering about the streets, or fixing up parts of town. Overall the center of town where most of the town congregated was almost finished, the outer areas having taken the most hits from sea by the ships. She walked around for a couple hours to think with a clear mind and began heading back home so her parents wouldn't worry.

Next Day

"Sion come outside." Masamoto leans in the door way of the pub and waves his friend over. He'd chosen now and it was time. Even should he never see her after this he needed to tell her. Not just for himself but for Sions sake as well. Kendrick had spent the better half the night arguing with him over it. Kendrick was no love guru, but the man had suffered the loss of more loved ones then anyone should have to. His regrets, they are enough to sink entire fleets. So somehow Masamoto had gotten the coy safe to do what he needed to do.

Sionnach had kept the offer quiet and didn't tell anyone about it, knowing what her answer was as much as it pained her. She couldn't blame them for the sudden invitation which needed a quick response, war waited for no one and it sounded like Helfast was on the defensive which was good news for the outcome being in the majorities favor. Waking up a bit earlier than she usually did for work so she could pop down by the docks, she first decided to at least get the tavern open and wait for the pair of coworkers she usually spent mornings with before doing so and headed out after a quick breakfast.

Opening up and getting everything set up, she greeted the cook who came on time as he always did who headed to the back to begin prepping ingredients for the day, then the female barmaid who she worked the front with. They spoke a bit as she told the woman that she was going to have to run a quick errand and that she would be back soon; only, before she could finish, she perked up to see Masa in the door, requesting to speak to her in what she assumed was probably an attempt to convince her to come with them. The thought made her chest ache and she knew it was going to be hard to say no even though the man didn't usually press something once an answer had been given.

Telling the barmaid she would be back shortly, Sionnach exited the tavern with Masa and sighed exasperatedly, moving around out of sight of the windows and door so they could talk privately. Initiating conversation first, she took a moment to run a hand through her hair and collect her thoughts. "I was going to swing around the docks in a few moments to talk to you guys, but I guess you're all taking off earlier than I had expected, huh? I-I'm sorry Masa, but I can't accept your offer. I've been working hard trying to move out, live on my own and such-- what with the town in the condition it's in, I have a better shot at doing so now without saving up for years or being forced to marry some well off shopkeeper just so I can become independent."

Giving him a weak smile, she chuckled hollowly before becoming rather dim again. "I would love to sail again. After finally getting a taste of it, life here is just so drab and empty, unfulfilling. Unfortunately, it's all I know though that I can make a living off of, and the only thing I can get that's long term, if not permanent. I'm sorry," she apologized, shifting her weight to lean on a leg as she placed a hand on her hip and averted her gaze off him.

"Haha, if you thought I was coming to pester you about that your wrong my dear." He says and leans in slowly. "I just wanted to tell you, wait for me." With a quick stealing of a kiss and a sharp turning he starts off for the docks and then resizes he didn't tell her, he spins once more. "I love you." With that he's off again down towards the docks.

Sionnach raised an eyebrow and looked sceptically at Masa, wondering why he had come up to meet her then if not to get her answer so they could leave port. All she had was the briefest of moments-- which was all she needed for her mind and heart to jump in alarm between his request and the kiss. Stunned and dumbfounded for several moments, her cheeks flared bright red, her lips still tingling from the momentary kiss and her head span in confusion to what just happened. As out of the blue and strange as it was, it felt very right to her. It didn't take long however for her to snap out of it though and she furrowed her brow before running off after him.

"Oi, get back here!" she yelled out at him, catching up and quickly blocking his path. Most women would of probably swooned if such a man had done something like that to them, but she wasn't 'most women' and she wasn't about to let him do some kiss and run thing. "First rule about treating a woman right, never leave 'em hangin' like that, yeah?" she scolded him firmly. "Second, where the hell did that come from? For like what, two months we were sailing together, not once you drop a move. Now after this long absence you suddenly just come out and profess your love for me?" Glaring at him, she smirked and chuckled, changing her tone. "Third of all, that was a poor first kiss," she stated before pulling his face down to hers and kissing him deeply. She could feel a rising heat in her body, her cheeks reddening again as desire flowed through her. Breaking away, she smiled with eyes glittering.

She wasn't sure if she could say 'I love you' with the same weight as his own, but she was definitely incredibly fond of him in a romantic regard she found, now that the ice had been broken between them. "I'll wait, but don't dally, you hear?" she told him firmly, smirking again at him again. "Now go get 'em, and no foolin' around, got it?" she teased, though she really did hope he wouldn't have any after-battle celebrations of the intimate variety after this whole admission of emotion.

"I'll give em' hell alright." With that Masamoto slips off down towards the docks. Before he gets to far though he's greeted by Kendrick. "You've got some balls Masamoto that's for sure. I had 27 gold you wouldn't do it." He sighs at this. "You're terrible Ken." He says and they keep walking. Soon enough they are on there ships and setting off with the fleet to bound the Helfast.

Sionnach pranced rather happily back to the tavern, though to avoid poking and prodding from her coworkers, she masked the emotion and acted like all she had been doing was a little business and waving her friend off. During Masa's long absence, things didn't really change much in her personal life besides stopping her flirting and focusing more on herself and her life. Though she still lived at home with her parents, she had quite a sum of money made and with the town's repairs completed, all she was waiting for now before making any big decisions was to hear word of Masa's hopeful return. Her feelings had grown exponentially for him, and though she was a bit worried she wasn't his 'one' and that he would continue to move from woman to woman; she was semi-confident due to their long friendship that he knew she was much more restrained and dedicated to whoever she bore serious feelings to and desired the same from her significant other.

He smiles and hugs them both goodbye. "It's been fun but I think I'm going to settle my affairs and settle here." They aren't surprised they could see the signs.

"Haha, don't worry Masamoto we'll meet once more." Kendrick says slowly and returns his hug. "Either in this life or whatever comes after." He smiles and slowly spins to walk back to his ship. Then Maria is next she smiles and kiss his cheek. "Don't worry Masa' if you can learn to settle down you'll make a good husband." With that she also turns and goes.

The last is Houki who walks up. "Masa me and the crew are good to sail whenever you want. We're ready to settle down but not shy of being a local work ship." Houki says slaps his shoulder and then wanders off towards her favorite pub. Finally Masamoto slowly wanders up the hill and slips into the bar. He wanders up behind Sion and places his hands over her eyes. "Guess who." He leans in and kisses her neck sweetly.

Sionnach was occupied cleaning tables when Mass walked in, the bar having become much more busy now that people were finally returning to normal and now she was working both bar and tables depending on how busy things were at any given time.

At the moment, it was quiet due to being in the midst of a work day, but she was tidying up the place due to the other barmaid she was working with taking their break. She didn't hear Masa slip in and the front was empty, the most recent patrons having just left shortly before as they came off their own breaks. The sudden gesture, her vision blinded by a pair of hands startled her and she yipped in surprise, but stopped herself from elbowing the individual she at first perceived as a threat in the gut when they spoke, the kiss sending shivers through her.

Heart beating quickly for several reasons, she felt the tightness in her chest change from fear to joy and relief. Relaxing, she smiled wide and chuckled, bringing her hands up to grasp his and bring them down to her lips, kissing both. "You scared me, dammit," she chuckled, turning around to look at him. Her face was soft, her eyes studying his face fondly.

"It's been a while, but I held dearly to hope for this day." Hugging him tightly, she buried her face in his chest and willed the tears at the corners of her eyes down. "I missed you, Masa. I love you," she mumbled softly, clinging to him tightly.

"Yes and I love you, and this time there's no war to run off and win..." He says smiling at her then kissing her lips and smiling. He was happy and for the first time in many years he felt human again and home.

2 Year Time Skip

Maria whom had played a pivotal role in the siege of Helfast capital was offered a royal pardon by her lands crown. As well as a post as the new head trainer of her nations royal gaurd. Maria happy to finally have a place in her nation again accepted both the pardon and position.

Kendrick after returning home to his birth nation Ikedurr was also a pardon never being one to settle he rejected the pardon. He contuined to rob and loot ships until he found the remains of a Helfast Naval fleet in which he and his crew gave their lives to destroy. He was honored with a grave in Ikedurr's royal gardens own graveyard. His tombstone only had these words on it 'here lies a man even death didn't cross' Kendrick had gone down fighting like he always said he would.

Houki after traveling the world with Masamoto was more then ready to contuine at his side even as his marriage to Sion drew closer. She contuined to support him until he gave her and the crew one last order 'go home' it had proved to be the hardest order to follow. None the less she did and when she did she started to clear Masamoto's family name.

Present Day

Masamoto waits at the end of the isle a bit nervous. It was finally their wedding day and he was losing his mind. Normally he wasn't this out of it but this was a big deal. Both to Sion and him. Masamoto had stopped messing around with other girls after he'd returned. Then he'd purposed. Now it was time. He wishes his friends could be here. Some are and some aren't. His new friends many of his 'fans', students, beer & card buddies as well as members of the order are here. But he misses Maria, Houki, The Crew and hardest of all. He misses Kendrick, his old friend. None the less he foucses on the now. He hears the music start. She's coming.

Sionnach was a bundle of frayed nerves, anxiety from excitement twisting her stomach into knots and making her light headed. The past two years had been more than she could of ever imagined, she had everything she wanted and truly felt like she had found purpose in the world. Being with Masa made life much more enjoyable and her parents while at first protested, had eventually warmed to their relationship and gave them their blessings when Masa had proposed to her.

She was dressed simply in a floor length white gown with a ruffled collar and shoulders, her wild hair tamed into an extravagant bun and ponytail combination. In her hands she had a beautiful spring bouquet of red tulips, white roses, yellow daffodils; and purple irises. On her head she had the iconic thin white veil covering her face. At hernside she had her father, her mother waiting anxiously in the audience gathered in the main room where the ceremony was to take place.

It took her some time to level her breathing, taking deep breaths to calm her, though her father looked more like he was going to pass out than she was. Her parents weren't really her parents, she had been bought by them via the slave trade when she was incredibly young, but they treated her like family, saving her from that terrible life and even though they weren't related, she couldn't of asked for better. Father and daughter gave each other assuring glances before he began to escort her to and down the isle.

Everyone watched her, her friends, mother, and adopted family watched her; some tearing up, but all were happy. Sionnach glanced around at the faces, but for the most part her gaze was on Masa, a wide smile she strained to keep in check so it wouldn't make her cheeks ache on her face. Reaching the end of thenisle, she hugged her father and they kissed cheeks before he sat down beside her mother, giving Masa an approving nod. Shuffling on the spot, facing Masa at the altar with the priest, she tried to remain still as the ceremony began, praying her voice wouldn't crack at all through the vows and oaths they pledged to each other.

Finally after all the vowes, I dos and such the wedding breaks into the easier ceremonial parts. Just dancing and such the large feast was offered by men whom had been at the siege of Helfast. As Masamoto wanders though the crowd getting congratulated Sion next to him he's a bit taken back to see not just Maria, Houki, Hana but despite all odds... he saw Kendrick.

Though now supporting an eye patch where his left was. "Kendrick! Everyone thought you were dead!" He chuckles, smiles and puts up a hand. "Almost was, but for now lets celebrate your wedding. Sion take good care of Masa." Ken gives her a small nod of approval weather to her dress, the couple or both only he knows.

"Masamoto, dom't go fooling around now though!" Houki speaks and gives a light chuckle and smile to Masa. "Yes, Houki is right, you've got a nice girl. Don't fuck it up." Maria says leaning on Houki. It seems they resvoled their issues. "Yes, Masa treat her right." Hana adds smiling at them.

"Alright ladies and gentlemen clear the dance floor it's time for the couples dance." The bands head says in between the music played by its 36 members. "Sion my dear, shall we?" Masa gets down and offers his new wife his hand for the dance.

Sionnach beamed as she walked around and greeted everyone, linking arms with Masa. She had a sneaking feeling Maria and Houki were somewhere around here, but was shocked when she finally spied them to see Hana as well, Kendrick's appearance only just surpassing the surprise to see the queen present. Through Masa, she had learned of Kendrick's 'final' encounter, though it clearly wasn't as final as originally thought. Grinning wide, she chuckled internally to herself, the infamous phrase tied to him resonating through her mind.

Letting Masa go, she greeted the other captains and ninja, smiling sweetly and giggling as she brushed a few strands of hair out of her face to Kendrick's words. "Don't you worry, I'll take very good care of him," she responded to the towering man, wrapping her hands and arms around Masa's arm again and leaning against him. Their firm, but caring advice amused her, though she was quite thankful that they cared about the both Masa and herself, and the union to be diligent in ensuring they treated each other right. Sionnach knew though that Masa would be good to her, he already has and she had no reason to think otherwise.

When the announcement was made that they were to dance, Sionnach blushed and withdrew her hands from Masa, placing the fingers of one over her mouth as she shyly looked around and then to Masa. She loved to dance and was quite decent at it, but it was a strange feeling that they would be the only ones on the floor for the first song as everyone watched. Then again though, this entire day was strange and surreal, but delightfully exciting. Taking his hand firmly, she nodded to him, ready to let him lead her to the floor and take the lead. "I would love to, babe," she replied happily to him.

He kisses her and it feels and sounds of fireworks. Though in the background fireworks are going off. That must have something to do with it. Though he doesn't care he is just happy.
