(M) RWBY C2; Clash of Spears (OOC)

Rated M for Excessive Violence, Cursing, racism and whatever else along these lines will come up.

News channels covered the escape of the Ex-Hunter Theodore Blackflame, who had been incarcerated for the killing of multiple members of his old team, his wife, a young faunus (Heated debate over how criminal this act was at the time) and the abuse of his son Graxis Blackflame. During this new students of Beacon Academy were in-route to the school, dreading and looking forward to their future. The most notable of these students take the form of three teams, all who were plagued by a large amount of GRIMM.

THOR Led by Jack Thor. Jack pulled his team together after a surprise attack from a pack of Beowolves which left two of his members wounded.

Gallant (GLUT) Led by Gwen Jolas. Along with team Briar they took down a horde of GRIMM. Including a Nevermore and King Taititsu

BRIaR (BRIR) Led by Graxis Blackflame. Along with team Gallant took down a horde of GRIMM. Including a Deathstalker.

After initiation trouble plagued team Gallant. Two of its members, Julia Urquhart and Lowell Wolfgang, along with the teacher Kathryn Rosada are kidnapped by an unknown faction. Around this time several students are messaged to enter the school's practice arena alone at midnight. After school hours teachers Rafe Barune and Avus Revgan launch a search and rescue using Rafe's contacts. They run into a hired mercenary of the Kothar clan who is searching for Theodore Blackflame, the Monster of Beacon. The mercenary suspects that Theodore has had help escaping and that the kidnapped students are linked to his hiding place. Turning his away the teachers press on their search, while the assassin trails them.

At midnight Graxis and Gwen enter the Arena and meet Snow. An agent for an organization claiming to be developing a series of droids to negate the necessity of Hunters entirely. Snow explains that the ANGELs will make it so that criminals can be caught faster, and lives go unrisked when fighting GRIMM. He also explains that they have enemies who would rather see chaos rule if it meant they stayed rich and that his organization has been targeted for years. To protect them he offers new weapons, and masks to hide their identities.
Both Gwen and Graxis agree, taking the names Sorrow and Scourge respectively. The other two members of their team (LOSS) have yet to be discovered.

Iejir Kothar, a member of Briar, tries to spy on this meeting. Learning that the ANGELs are adaptable, and designed solely for combat. He is confronted by at first two of the robots, who take turns fighting him. The first is destroyed in a matter of moments, while the second lasted much longer after observing Iejir's fighting style. More ANGELs appeared, including 376, the only one with wings. Iejir claimed victory over his second opponent yet was trapped by the gathering of other ANGELs. Who had kept him in place until Snow's meeting was adorned Safeguarding Graxis and Gwen's new identities when doing work with the ANGELs. 376 quickly took the spear used by the fallen ANGEL Iejir defeated before departure.

Elsewhere Rafe and Avus break into the facility where the kidnapped students and teacher were taken. Before they could find Kathryn and Lowell they are met with Theodore, now Alpha, and his partner Theta. Locked in combat Lowell and Kathryn are moved from their cell by their warden Omega. Lowell is placed in a storage closet and Kathryn is transported to the infirmary on the top floor. Lowell takes it upon himself to escape after hearing the fighting and finds his way to Rafe and Avus.

In an attempt of betrayal Alpha taunts Rafe with how Omega is going to torture Kathryn, and promises that if he goes to save her at that exact moment instead of fighting him, Alpha wouldn't harm the boy. Before Rafe could make his final choice the assassin enters the fight and engages Alpha. Lowell and Rafe both rush to the top floor to free Kathryn. Lowell is stopped by Julia who's body and mind has been altered. Rafe manages to get to get to Kathryn who is being personally escorted to a Bullhead by Omega. Irritated that Rafe had ignored Julia completely against his original plans Omega improvises by freezing the hallway. Creating a wall of ice between him and Rafe. He then calls upon Epsilon who had kidnapped everyone in the first place, to break a hole to the roof so that they could be extracted quickly.

Out of spite Omega sets the facility on fire before ordering the Bullhead to circle around, and Alpha and Theta to retreat with Julia. When Alpha expressed difficulty in this Omega activated Julia's abandonment protocol. This program would force her to attempt to kill anyone associated with Beacon as an ally, and if she survives to destroy herself, starting from the strongest to weakest.
Julia starts first with the assassin, opening Alpha's escape. Theta is beaten into submission by Avus at this time, and arrested.
Julia's abandonment protocol is remotely deactivated, and her robotic systems start to reset. Alpha is ordered by an unknown man to escape with her at any cost. Angered and reluctant to leave Theta Alpha picks up Julia and rushes out of the facility and into the cover of what remains of the combat drones. Effectively escaping and giving Beacon affiliates a bittersweet draw. Having successfully capturing one of them, however still losing Kathryn and Julia. Two of the three they had set out to rescue.

Outside of Vale the Bullhead experiences a violent takeover. The man who had ordered Alpha threatened them to never abandon his precious ANGEL again. To enforce his point he deactivated Alpha's inhibitor, and activated Omega's.

His last orders were too have Julia fight more people. Vagrants, White Fang, Students. Anybody that has a weapon. He needs her strong for his vengeance.

On the rare occasions he reveals any part of himself Graxis's skin is covered in scars and old burn marks.

Personality: Quiet when he's resting. Aggressive when he's not. Graxis never liked the idea of teamwork, especially when it evolves someone having his back. Although he's only truly bothersome about it when it doesn't hurt their chances of survival. He doesn't trust a great deal of people, and refuses to hide his intense hatred of pure Dust users. Despite his bull-headed traits that deem him a brute. He's a sucker for a good book, and is very rather fond of animals, never losing his temper with either. Also despite not enjoying the prospect of teamwork, he's quick to put himself in harms way for his team or others.

Likes: Books, Fighting, alone time, animals.

Dislikes: Dust, having a team, bullying (Not his own) being talked too, being touched, being with people.

Semblance type: Pressure; Graxis is able to increase, and only increase the force of pressure surrounding him. This ranges from bullets, to swords, and air, to water. The affects fade over time. It should be noted that he can freely activate his semblance, he must concentrate to stop it.

Weapon: Frostbane- A decorated war cleaver that doubles as a flamethrower. Fairly heavy in weight, causing Graxis to be sluggish in a large brawl.

As Scourge: Claw and Cleave- These gauntlets come in two separate modes. 'Passive' and 'Aggressive.' While passive they're merely another part of his armor. Adding an extra amount of metal to his punches, and protecting his hands. Cleave, his left gauntlet, is much larger then Claw.

In their aggressive mode both gauntlets produce blades. Cleave produces a single, large blade. The blade is curved and designed to be fought as though Scourge was still only throwing punches. Claw on the other-hand (get it?(sarc)) produces two smaller blades, operating much on the same level as Cleave except that the blades are able to be launched at their intended target. New blades need to be reloaded into Claw before lethal use can be reachieved.

Background: Graxis comes from a rather abusive family. Which explains the scars and his usual mood rather greatly. He was found by his surrogate father at the age of fourteen and placed in Signal, where he trained to become something better then a common thug. While Graxis wasn't particularly keen on breaking his thuggish habits, there was a way his actions were kept in check. The man bribed him with books. It didn't matter what they were about, heroes, monsters. Talking animals, or romance, Graxis loved reading them. Eventually calming down his inner rage under Mr. Brill's guidance.

Despite his improving attitude, Graxis was still aggressive to everyone. Quelled only for hours at a time by a couple hundred pages eventually his distrust for others came out full force. From training to merely walking down the hallway, no one cared for his attitude, and he never cared for them. Eventually this led to the creation of Frostbane. A wrathful blade as unwanted as it's bearer. He was accepted into Beacon this year and while he hoped to succeed, he's been having trouble adjusting to the idea of a team.

During his time at Beacon Graxis was approached by Snow. A man who claimed that the ANGELs, his companies adaptable Atleasian Knights, could reduce crime rate and capture convicts much faster. Even if it's indirect Graxis would love nothing more then to see his father back behind bars.

Extra: As Scourge Graxis' mask is still carried around in a lockbox. If anybody tries to open this box he will either force them to back off.. or kill them.

Name: 376...
Age: 10 months
Gender: Irrelevant.
Are you an ANGEL: Yes.
Appearance: 376 is a slender version of the Atleasian Knights. Although it bears wings and only has one arm, losing it in a fight against a Nevermore. Like all ANGELs. It carries a broken sword and a spear.

Personality: Watch. Experience. Adapt.

Weapons: Unlike most of it's kind 376 carries the sword it broke during it's encounter with the Nevermore, and a spear it's fallen comrade set aside in the fight against the ANGEL slayer.

History: 376 is the last of it's unit after a long and difficult battle against a Nevermore. After a series of trail and error 376 managed to slay the beast by slicing off the GRIMM's tail, effectively removing it's ability to control itself during flight. The ensuing battle on the ground is worthy of legend as 376 narrowly avoided destruction time and time again. Losing it's arm and half it's sword before finally landing the killing blow upon the beast. In a surprising act to the company 367 had analyzed the creature's body and requested hardware in likeness to the creature when it returned for repairs, prioritizing the upgrade before the actual arm and sword. 376 is currently the most combat trained ANGEL currently active, and even seems to command other ANGEL units despite it's programming never being upgraded to a higher rank.

Recently the company has noticed that 376 has become notably obsessed with Beacon students, specifically one it has dubbed ANGEL Slayer. It has been observing the students at Beacon since then, eying them from above. To the shock of the company 376 ignores recall, even to repair its arm and sword. Prioritizing it's learning program. What better place to learn how to fight GRIMM then Beacon after all?


Name: Julia Urquhart
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Julia stands at 5 feet and 7 inches with a good however not excellent posture and an incredibly well toned however not 'muscular' build in sense of raw size. Her features look similar to that of a White American appearance with influences from the Armadillo, including oval-shaped ears, an armored tail and armor plating running along the back and sides of her torso; her ears are often hidden away under her hair, however, only coming out when she's concentrating on hearing. She seemingly takes care of her appearance as her skin is generally clear and her hair groomed. Her hair is natural black and her eyes are a somewhat matching brown.

Along with her natural armor compliments to her Faunus heritage her entire left arm and leg have been infused with her old exoskeleton. Stripped of the Duel-Bolter as she used to call it the arm seems to be in a state of complete redesign. Her right arm and leg are only dotted with parts, again showing that whatever the original designs were are not yet finished. Her head is currently scarred, and both her eyes have been replaced by implants, which limits her free will and emotions.

Are you Faunus?: Yes. She has traits of an Armadillo.
Personality: After her 'rebirth' Julia has lost much of what made her who she was. Obedient towards her masters and violent to everyone else Julia expresses a guilty pleasure in causing pain.
Her emotions being suppressed rather then removed, Julia has difficulty facing her old teammates or Hunters in general. When this happens she begins to screech as she struggles to stop herself from hurting them. Her combat abilities, reasoning, and obedience suffers as a result.

Semblance: She lost her ability to use her Semblance after her original personality was suppressed. As Semblance is the manifestation of ones self.

Weapons: As far as combat goes, Julia is a tank and heavily blade-melee focused. To compliment this, her primary weapon is a high-frequency o-katana which transforms into a high-frequency spear-naginata pneumatically upon user request. As per majority of pneumatic equipment, it requires about one and a half seconds to suck in air before the transformation begins. The weapon transforms after a small button on the side of the handle is pressed. To transform from a sword to a spear-naginata, the multiple extra layers of the hilt move forward - pushing the hand guard along with them - until there is a single layer extending the length of a pole-arm. This does not overlap the blade at all. As this process goes on, the blade folds and renders multiple times to form the shape, thickness and broadness of the spearhead. To return to the sword, the handle folds and the blade unfolds. In a nutshell, one half folds and the other half unfolds.

A large red switch designed to be pressed by the V of the hand controls the high-frequency mode. A high frequency weapon is a blade reinforced by a powerful alternating current and resonates at extremely high frequencies. The resulting oscillation weakens the molecular bonds of anything it cuts, thoroughly increasing it's efficiency as result; it doesn't, however, make it able to cut through anything. Strong armor of any variation will be able to resist several upon several strikes from the blade however the structural integrity of the armor will lower each time hit. The oscillation is powered by dust crystals; in turn, the blade glows the color of the dust crystal powering it when high frequency mode is enabled.

The weapon is stored in sword mode in a sheath attached to a mechanical arm which attaches to Julia's back. The arm allows the sheath to be moved around, although it namely moves from her back to be carried to her side to be drawn. The sheath is fitted with a firing system that utilizes explosive small-arms ammunition to draw the weapon at explosive, pun thoroughly intended, speeds when need be. The hand-guard of the weapon is designed to take the impact. The sheath also contains a unique grindstone specifically made to help resonate the blade as it is drawn.

Julia's body is able to transform into a ball and rush forward, slamming against an opponent. While her ability to feel pain is suppressed she is still throwing herself against somebody. If met with heavy resistance Julia will be damaged. The attack is still in testing phase.

Background: Julia was once a student at Beacon until her Exoskeleton design caught the attention of 'The Puppeteer.' Who had her kidnapped and immediately undergo surgery to turn her into his 'precious ANGEL.' The experience was traumatic and shattered her ability to think properly, opening the way for the Puppeteer to alter her further.
Before her 'rebirth' as the puppeteer calls it, Julia remembers nothing beyond Beacon, and the events leading up to her Rebirth is fuzzy at best.
She knows that what she's doing is against who she was, however she can't remember how she was to begin with.
The puppeteer has ordered her to go out and fight, to enhance her abilities so he can exact revenge later.

Are you Faunus?: Yes. A snake to be exact.
Personality: Sneaky, and low. Omega is decidedly paranoid over the randomness of combat. Choosing to be over-prepared Omega has an answer for nearly anything.. except for the severally intelligent.. or stupid.. of plans. When not fighting Omega enjoys playing cards and working his own schemes to escape his debt to the puppeteer. Even if that means directly disobeying his boss.
Omega expresses an over-abundance of mistrust over anyone who isn't Theodore, which is mutual to his enemy. They will eventually go at one another after all. No games. No long term fuck yous. Just a good old fashioned showdown. And both plan to be the last one standing.
Likes: Other Faunus. Mindgames. Removing problems.
Dislikes: Losing. Theodore Blackflame. Gaining new problems.
Semblance type: To be revealed.
Weapon: Lucky's Edge- A pistol with an curved bayonet, capable of taking various type of ammo of the same caliber. Currently in Lowell Wolfgang's possession.
Lucky's tip- An elegant staff/Javelin designed to release dust in various ways dependent on its release.
Flatly slamming the tip onto a solid surface will generate a small burst of whatever dust type is inside at the moment. (Staff)
Stabbing with the tip will cause a wider release of whatever dust type is loaded. This will go in any direction and harm even the wielder. (Javelin)
Pressing a button will allow the dust type to seep outside of Lucky's Tip. Being faster in staff form and slower in Javelin Generally white dust is used to start freezing the surrounding area. Forris' favorite fighting condition. (Staff/Javelin)
Background: Forris was big into gambling during his young adult life, either winning at cards or swindling poor fools Forris didn't care how he got some more money. Building Lucky's edge to defend himself from would be muggers once he got rich enough. At some point his luck ran out and he lost money on his cards, so he took to killing. Whether he was hired for the job or just taking the earnings of high rollers Forris kept at it for five years. And on one fateful night, with a little too much to drink. Forris met the Puppeteer.
A baller with no end to the amount of cash in his wallet. Forris was tempted to take it by force until the man sat down at his card table. Determined Forris played cards until the night turned into day. Having the almighty royal flush Forris almost laughed when the man before him had bet all his money. Drunk and tired Forris believed the dealer when he had said that he needed to match the money. Forris wrote a check a little over his limit that night. And he was pleased with it too until he found out the man had a royal flush as well.. a suit higher according to the casino. It was only later that Forris realized that it was a set up. Indebted to a cheating asshole Forris began his life as Omega. Killing the puppeteers enemies, and protecting his property. His last hit was against Theodore Blackflame, his closest friend at the time. Or was supposed to be. After failing the first time, to kill Theodore and instead wiping out the man's team. Omega had found out that Theodore snapped the neck of his daughter. After a long drawn out battle Omega was called back by a furious Puppeteer, whose prized possession was stolen while Omega was busy failing. Much to Omega's attempts to persaude otherwise The puppeteer changed the contract. Now owing fourteen times the original amount, and the amount paid per job to less then a quarter. Omega now works for the puppeteer.. forever.
Seven years later, or four months ago. Omega was forced to free Theodore from prison and work with his enemy whom he hates nearly as much as the Puppeteer. However, all isn't too bad. Because the only one Theodore.. now alpha, hates more then Omega is the puppeteer himself for placing the hit on him in the first place. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" after all.

alright, i'll see about revising my two character's CS. plan to have Lowell keep Lucky Edge as an reminder(and back up weapon).

Personality: Generally aloof and good natured. Rafe hates being too serious in any setting that doesn't require it and will spend most of his time in a pub if he has his way.
Likes: Beer, meat, and a good tale.
Dislikes: Overly serious types, spoiled moods and pointless posturing.
Semblance type: perception, Rafe has trained himself to be aware of everything around him. Though he is by no means Omnipresent he is accutley aware to anything approaching or directly threatening him.
Weapon: Dustblade, a sword especially shaped for duels housing a rotating cylinder holding dust crystals to enchant the blade.
Background: One of the few Hunters to venture into the heart of the Grimms territory and return alive. Rafe spends most of his time in the company of other veterans and making lighthearted jokes about the younger generation and their youthful enthusiasm.

His class was one of the best Beacon produced, Rafe and his team were formidable and well balanced by all appearances however in truth he was surprised they ever pulled together. After becoming a Hunter, Rafe kept traveling only returning to a hold to rest or resupply while reporting and spreading exaggerated tales over a few pints. Though he prefers to keep traveling and exploring, he received a personal letter from Ozpin requesting him to teach the next group of Hunters and Huntresses at Beacon. Never having been rooted to one spot for so long Rafe considered declining, but felt he did owe a small amount of loyalty to Ozpin and so He returned to Beacon to help instruct the students in combat against the Grimm.

After the term started however he began to realize what a task teaching had become. His students were all able fighters and sharp strategists in their own minds and had little time to listen to his lectures. He found a few who learned more through experience and hands on training and even fewer who learned from others. But that wasn't the worst of it, His old teammate Kat was now kidnapped and despite hsi best effort he was unable to free her. Now he has the uneviable task of explaining what happened to her with the rest of his team.

a two handed Dustblade, designed to use Dust crystals to imbue the weapon with elemental properties.
Background: The Kothar Family doesn't exist, at least not in a traditional sense. The Kothar name is actually a type of clan. Raised in an orphanage Iejir was taught a basic curriculum that allowed for a lot of free time with the other kids. Being a typical child at that age he and the other boys often got into fights in the yard before being sent to their respective rooms.
However after he turned five Iejir was taken out of the orphanage to the Kothar compound. One of their scouts had witnessed one of his fights and had been impressed with his instinctual fighting ability.
It was there that Iejir learned about sword pay and fighting the Grimm, since the Kothar were an unofficial group however, Iejir was forced to enroll at Beacon to become a legally recognized hunter.

And barely a semester into his training Iejir began to question what he was doing there. His "team" barely even qualified for that definition. Their leader was an antisocial jerk with a sociopathic father, who for somereason seemed to have been adopted by a hyperactive spaz who was just as likely to throw glitter at you than say hello. The final team member seemed to at least be normal, even if she was quiet.
And then there was Hotaru, the last person from the Kothar clan he wanted to see, Hotaru was in Vale for a contract but made himself known to him and maybe even the staff. His secret could be out by now.

1. Her twirling baton( Sparkling Crystal):
which can carry up to 8 dust cylinders( 4 on each side) for equal weight. These cylinders are specially made to be thinner, so in reality, the baton actually only carries 4 cylinders.

This small knife is approximately 61/2 inches and the handles are 1 1/4 inches in diameter. The blades slide next to each other(when closed) and are approximately 3 1/4 inched long.

3. Her Rod and Streamer!( Sparkling Frippery):
This dance rod has been modified to have a thicker bottom that can hold 1 dust cylinder( similar to the ones in the baton.) that means, 1/2 a dust cylinder can only fit into this rod. The dust is then carried out with the special ribbon attached which changes color depending on the color of dust used. The ribbon is 12 feet long.

4. Her normally used weapon( Sparkling Solitaire):
This pole is 5 feet long and can be pulled apart to form two swords. The swords( like the knife) slide next to each other. The pole is approximately 1 1/2 inches in diameter and the blades are 3 feet long.

Instructions on how to change dust cylinders:

1. Screw off crystal at end of pole/rod/stick
2. The Crystals on the end are able to be screwed off and on
3. Insert the cylinders equally for each side for even balance
4. screw crystals back on

How to use dust:

1. choose any side with crystal ( doesn't matter as long as there's dust in it)
2. Rubb/scrape/slide the crystal along a firm surface
3. swing outward towards target/enemy
4. glass shards will come out due to how the dust reacts.
5. the crystal will still be intact
6. to do it again, the same scraping motion is needed( repeat steps 1-4)

5'7" in height and usually wearing her sweats, which are basically a set of white & blue windbreaker jacket and pants with a pair of sneakers. Though whenever she relaxing, Kathryn would wear plain blue jeans and a yellow or white t-shirt. Sometimes a black hoodie in case it cold and she need to get warm.

Personality: Kathyrn has a mix personality, that is basically somewhat joyful child-like or immature behavior. Sometime even lazy, which Corinna can strongly agree. Though she can also be quite stubborn about things, especially when it comes to wearing any fancy clothing. She is also very strict when it came to training and never being able to hold back, fortunately she spar without fully using Lyn Spir. And now that she became Beacon's newest teacher, Kathyrn is going to be quite strict with her teaching. At lest she in a good enough mood to have a relaxing time instead of hard training courses.

Lyn Spir, "Lightning Spire" in Norwegian. Is a giant sword, about as big as her...plus the hilt. Its functions triggered through pressure switches built into the pommel, when press up toward the hilt. Lyn Spir is capable of either sending blasts of electrical energy or create a stable beam to increase it reach.

Both functions are powered by yellow Dust that are kept in two canisters within the guard, the blade opens by two halves to reveal it cannon kept inside the hilt that extend afterwards. That then generate electricity for Kathryn's "Thunder Blast", which she proudly named. Along with her "Lightning Blade" that is formed by Lyn Spir expeanding the blade instead, allowing electrical energy to shoot out as it forms a sparking yellow blade.

Note: Katyrn could also use other Dust to powered Lyn Spir, claiming the change of Dust as "Modes". So far, they're only three she had named, excluding the default "Lightning" Mode.

Backgrounds: Kathryn's life started out like everyone else, if you're a daughter of an Huntsman that is. Kathryn is the youngest in her family, what left of it at least as her mother died giving birth to her. Leaving her father, Arthur, to take care of his two daughters. Kathryn and her older sister Corinna, though it was mostly Corinna who took care of them and Arthur's sister. Who come over to watch the two whenever he goes out for Huntsman business, despite how his sister feels about it. Arthur's girls didn't mind it as they find it amazing of what he does. Kathryn especially as she once declare that she'll be best Huntress, which appear to be possible as she attended at Signal Academy with Corinna. Though she didn't do well with the educational stuff without Corinna's help, but was best combatant in the school. Especially when she discovered her Semblance of being extremely strong.

When the day came for the two sister of graduating, they were approuch by a huntsman a hour from the ceremony. Who told them of their father's unforunate fate. Telling them that their father was found dead with a Death Stalker, which was also found dead as well. It was discovered that Arthur died from being stung by it and thus was poisoned by the Grimm, only to finish the Grimm before finally succumbing to the poison. After being told of this, things changed for the two. Kathryn became determine to fulfill her promise in becoming a Huntress, while Corinna strongly refuse. Deciding to work on becoming one of Signal Academy's teachers instead, after being convince by one of her favorite teachers.

After burying their father in Beacon Academy's graveyard, Kathryn stayed behind as she made her farewells with Corinna. Then took on the initiation, finishing with killing a Death Stalker. Proventing it from killing someone, who soon became her teammate. After completing the initiation. Kathryn became the leader of team KZDR (CruSaDeR), which strangely consisted of mostly boys beside her. Two of them having no problem being led by her, except for one who ended up being put to his place after beating him in hand to hand combat...with one hand tied behind her back too. Since then, Kathryn did her best to be a good leader. While ignoring any of Samuel's sad pick-up lines, stating she not one for relationship. Mainly because she once had a boyfriend who broke her heart during her years back at Signal Academy, though she got some payback by breaking his nose. which was fortunate for him as she been working on self-control with her Semblance.

The four of them did their best to work together, watching each other backs and so forth. Somepoint in time they grew close, enough to make Kathryn see the three boys as brothers. Even giving them nicknames to tease or mess with them, such as Smarty-Pants for Derek and Fathands for Zane.

Long after graduating from Beacon Academy, Kathyrn and her friends went out to stop a Beowolves attack on a small town. Where she discovered a young Faunus boy being chased by one of them, and after saving him, she found out that his family were gone. Killed by some of the Grimms, feeling sorry for the boy, who she soon learn his name was Lowell. Took him to her sister, Corinna, remembering how depress Corinna was after finding out her child was a still born. Along with the divorce with her husband, who had a restraining order on Kathryn after breaking his arm before the divorce was final. Corinna was both a mix of gratitude and sadness, mainly for the boy's lost. Since the adobtion was final with Kathryn as his guardian, even helping out with things as she take him along while Corinna was teaching at Signal Academy. And now she heading to Beacon Academy with her "nephew" and soon-to-be student, along with everyone else. After agreeing to Ozbin's offer of having her teach there for combat/strategic.

Kathyrn was captured by an unknown group, who had assisted Theodore Blackflame in his escape, along with her nephew. After this was learned, Rafe and Avus attempted to save both of them. Only to partially fail after Omega managed to keep Kathyrn as their captive, leaving her would-be rescuers and Lowell with a burning building. Now she currently still an prisoner too whomever is in charge of Omega and his associates, who appear to be quite controlling over them.

Fortunately and unknown to Kathyrn, the other two members of her old team KZDR. Zane Samuel and Derek Crider. Had also heard of her kidnapping and made haste too Vale, Zane being the first to arrive as he assisted his old teamate Rafe and the others out of the burning warehouse.

Lowell wears silver color plates over his white long-sleeve shirt, along with a few more strapped onto his right forearm and thighs over his blue-ish grey jeans. Lowell wears a gauntlet on his left hand, which he use the plated cylinder (2 and half inch thick, despite being hollow inside) over his forearm as a improvise sheild and to store his chains (Gleipnir) which allow him to fire it with a special launching mechanism fitted into it. He also wear lightly plated black boots with three small spikes on the toe, which give off the appearance of claws(or nails). The metal is light and strong, allowing Lowell to be quick and agile while still getting protection.

Personality: Lowell is a bit of the quiet type, rarely speaks at lest spoken too. Rarely smile even. However, he'll always shout out warnings and such during fights. Since he doesn't want anyone getting hurt, at lest they're the bad guys. Who he wouldn't care if they get hurt. Although, if ever the chance he has someone he could considered a friend(s), he'll most likely be comfortable enough to be social. Despite those, Lowell will be protective of others, doing his best to help someone in need as he'll never stand such hostility being done too another. However, during combat he'll sometime be rather "cold" too Grimms he may encounter. This might be due too what had happen to him in the past. Lowell would quickly end them the best he could in the most brutal way possible, though that slowly changed as he slowly cease killing them like that. Especially when he fighting along with others and have to work with them.

Likes: Doing maintence on his gear, whittling small blocks of wood, playing chess.

Dislikes: Grimms and people being put into harms way.

Semblance type: Channeling, a form of ability that allow someone to form semi-solid objects out of energy or other possible methods through the help of Dust. While also allow a person to channle their Aura into their limbs, mainly arms and legs, making the muscle much stronger for a brief moment as it be a great strain too their muscle of that limb. This process would make a person be stronger or faster through either their arms or legs, though would not make them "harden" so a knife could still pierce into the person's arm.

Lowell uses this ability to generate bolts for Fenrir's amunition, as well as generating a surge of energy along its blade. Giving it a extra "kick" to his strikes, such as making the blade be engulf with fire or become cover in frost and producing white vapors(or whatever) from the conflicting temperture.

During the escape from the warehouse, Lowell somehow manage to learn the ability to conjure and launch blast of energy from his hand. Similar to how Lowell create his bolts and the blasts from Fenrir blade. Only he create energy blasts that are shaped like his own fist, sadly he haven't gotten the full grasp of it. Along with it still acquiring the use of his own Aura, unlike the bolts that used both Dust and Lowell's Aura.

Weapon(s): Lowell wields a set of equipment, two of them are Fenrir and Gleipnir, which are a custom-made sword and a specially forge chain. Along with a gauntlet that he use as a shield-like vambrace and to carry Gleipnir within itself. Each three items all depict from the Norse mythology of Fenrir, that Corinna tends to tell him during the early years after losing his home.

Now Lowell carries an additional weapon, an gun name Lucky Edge. Which he had kept after the Escape, planning to keep it as an reminder for what he failed to do.


A blade curving to form three points, one being the tip as it gleam from the full moon's light shinning onto it. The sword makes metallic clicks as the blade open, shooting out as it rolls with the faint sounds of gears and wheels turning. Before locking in place as it give the shape of a crossbow, resting onto a armored hand. It wielder angle it, aiming his weapon as it began to emit a cyan-color glow. That soon become flying from the crossbow's maw, cutting through the air as it soars downward. Leaving a dissipating dusty cyan tail, almost appearing to be leaving behind snowflakes as it descend. Only to stop as it struck a unfortunate Beowolf, causing it to howl in pain as its burst into a icy blooming flower. Along with a soft shower of snowflakes, mildly covering the grassy ground with a thin layer of snow. Sparkling from the moonlight shinning onto it, along with the icy flower that took the Beowolf place.

A special-made sword he created while attending at Signal, that can be considered as The DESC (Dust-Empowered Sword Crossbow). Fenrir is capable of spliting apart it blade and position them into being the crossbow's split limb, while the base/foregrip open up to give the appearance of a foregrip. That holds a cylinder-shaped cartridge, which can hold three different types of Dust in three separate chambers. That Lowell can changed through a trigger placed on the foregrip. He usually uses red, cyan, and yellow color Dust primarily. During it transformation, the hilt open up to form the stock with a special grip allowing Lowell too use his semblence of Channeling, along with it being a form of trigger for firing.

Thus creating magically form bolts for Fenrir while in its crossbow mode, each bolt display a faint glow of chosen color of Dust. That give off the elemental attribute of that color, which is ice, fire, and lightning (from what i've read on rwby's wiki). Lowell can also still be able to rotate the cylinder without being in the second mode, which is done by pressing down on a trigger at the guard. Allowing him to choose which Dust to use and then began generating in the same form of energy into the blade and that gives off a similar effect when he stabbed or slashed someone. Although, Lowell only does that when fighting a Grimm as it would cause serious harm to a person. This process also allow Lowell to preform sword-based attacks, since the energy will discharged once the blade had struck someone/something(like the ground or floor).

Note: Fenrir can be set to be more or less and axe, which is mainly having the bladed arms to close in a little to give Lowell melee capablity if an foe gets to close. The joints being more sturdy and capable of taking the stress of recieving blows without breaking them, but it doesn't hurt to be careful though as it only for desperate measures.


A special forge chain, that stretch out too at least 10 meters long. Like the myth, the chain was made to be very strong and durable. Thus making it nearly impossible to break them, without having the strength that best a Ursa's. It also give off a silver-like color, while appearing a little thin than a average linked chains. Which made it hard to believe it really that strong, but Fenrir thought the 'real' Gleipnir wasn't strong too, now he regretting it for letting the gods to use it on him.

Lowell keep it stored inside the cylinder-shaped vambrace of his gauntlet, which he named Hand of Tyr. Inside it is an special spool, that automatically unwound whenever he triggered it too fired the metal ball. About 2 and half inch diameter. Beside being incredibly strong and almost unbreakable, it doesn't have any other specialty. Besides being useful for combating a Grimm or someone else.

A gauntlet with a cylinder-shape vambrace, which double as a carrier for Gleipnir within it spool. The vambrace is layered with triangular plates that start from a rhombus-shape top plate, each pointing toward his hand and his elbow. Each plate is mildly decorated with a fancy Norse theme design. Underneath the hand part of the gauntlet, is a hole that Gleipnir goes in and out from. A shiny silver color ball is the part that visible till it is launched and the chain it attached too become seeable. The hand portion, which is a armored black leather glove, has similar color plates fitted onto the top part of the glove. That would give anyone a nice bruise if struck by that hand from Lowell.


An gun Lowell had decided to keep after being kidnapped, using it more as an reminder of what he had faced and failed to do. Saving his aunt and his teammate Julia.

It basically a pistol with an curved bayonete, capable of taking various type of ammo of the same caliber. Though Lowell rebuilt it to be compactable and stored away on his persons, making it more an backup sidearm.

Bio: Lowell was living a normal life, at least for a Faunus, as him and his family kept themselves isolated from a nearby small town. Though the townspeople aren't that discriminating toward them, which is likely due too how friendly they are too them and maybe how far off they are from town. However, on Lowell's 12th Birthday. Things went down hill for both Lowell's family and the townsfolk as a large pack of Beowolf came rushing out of the forest. Attacking Lowell home first as it was closer too the forest, after they had dealt with the house. The pack attacked the town and nearly destroyed it before a few Huntsmen and a Huntress manage to arrive in time to stop them. The Huntress that was with the group also saved Lowell from one of them as he had been chased from his home by one of the Beowolves, then left him too the hands of her sister Corinna Rosada as she been wanting a child to take care of. She also happen to be one of Signal's teachers, and had also helped Lowell fit in during his years in Signal Academy. Especially when he became somewhat of a mute, likely due to what he had seen during the Beowolves attack.

Since then he been a loner, never getting close too the kids. Especially when their parents would get angry with them for doing so, thus they kept their distant from Lowell. Which made him grew close to Corinna, who he will always call Miss Rosada, as she wasn't his real mother and she in turn accepted that fact. Though he didn't have a choice with Corinna's sister, Kathryn, who made sure Lowell address her as his aunt. When things gotten settled for the two, Lowell began attending at Signal. Wanting closure and the chance to prevent what he had to go through from happening too others. During his time attending at Signal Academy, Lowell had a hard time fitting in due to his heritage of being a Faunus. Especially when most of the students were quite discriminating toward him, along with a few of the teachers. Except for his "foster parent" Corinna Rosada, who had took the time too give extra training and education. Even a few of the more equally-minded teachers help out as well for him. Lowell even got more comfortable and started being social, at least enough that he'll sometime speak a few words and answer questions.

Some point during his training courses, Lowell discovered his ability or Semblance. Discovering that he could channel his aura, from what he was told, into either his limbs for a brief moment or create a form of semi-solid energy through the help of Dust. Like his bolts for Fenrir's Crossbow mode or generate a small surge of energy to make his strikes more powerful. This ability was worked on during the remaining years of being in the Academy, along with private sessions with his aunt Kathryn. Which were quite brutal as she never hold back, at least enough to not use her sword full potential. Granted it might've destroy Corinna's house if she had, then she'll be facing her sister's wrath. So now Lowell boarded the Air Ship that'll take him and every other potential students too Beacon Academy.
During the start of being a student at Beacon, Lowell became captured along with his aunt. Finding himself a prisoner to some group of people, one of them being Theodore Blackflame. Though Lowell doesn't care much for him as the man that goes by as Omega, gain Lowell attention after suffering a bit of his torture by an shock collar by him.

Thankfully, it wasn't for long as Rafe and Avus came to their rescue. At least that was the plan, Lowell escaped with a little help by someone name Fyyre. Who had somehow placed an pistol and ammo for Lowell to use. Which he did after getting through his guards and then through more security robots to reach the Beacon Teachers. Only to run off in attempt of rescuing his aunt, unfortunately, Lowell became face to face with an cyborg-like Julia. Who had became another person Lowell wanted to saved, but sadly, things didn't go well with that plan after Omega set the warehouse on fire. Forcing them to retreat with some of Zane assistant.

Now Lowell seeks revenge and justice for what Omega, and whoever else with him, to pay for taking another family member and his teammate.

Personality: He's actually a good guy if you get to know him, but it's hard to get close to a torn introvert of his caliber. However, he is not passive, like many assume.

Semblance type: Lightning - causes a small increase in agility and speed, but not like ninja agile or Ruby fast. Mainly his lightning semblance is from electrostatic electricity which he ONLY activates while running. The charge doesn't exceed 50 volts, unless he finds a way to amplify the output to inflict a higher voltage. The charge does wear off if he doesn't run for a long time. Another thing is that when he discharges the electricity, he receives a negative feedback by getting a small jolt and burning on his wrist or other part of his body covered by his armor. Two ways of discharge: by sword contact or fist/foot contact.

Background: Rick lived in the kingdom of Atlas which is where the armor he wears came from. There he lived in their beautiful countryside to get away from the bustling city. His parents taught him the fundamentals of basic learning that schools would generally teach to him. It wasn't until he was 7 that he went to an actual school to learn more and get a good education to support himself in life.
Rick had a well life till he was 10, when one day from coming home from school, he found his house in ruins. His parents were slaughtered by Grimm who came into the area several nights before. He was orphan and lived in the capitol from there on out. When he became older, he enrolled himself into Atlas' Hunter Academy to help him gain the skills necessary to kill the Grimm and avenge his parents.

Try to keep everything at least feasable. While its true that a scythe/rifle combination can't literally exists, Monty and RT at least made it seem possible. So use their weapons as a base or any other reference with transforming weapons.

2) Well, in about a maximum of a one foot radius, surfaces can become more or less slippery. If you want the science: There are miniscule "pits and hills" in the atomic level. By altering the ridges in a way with more of these "pits and hills", there is more friction, therefore less skidding occurs. The "pits and hills" can smooth out to decrease friction, making the surface more slippery.

While in battle, he wears the bandana shown in the picture. His armor is made up of a metal made by the Kingdom of Atlas. He received his armor as a token of gratitude from one of the scientists that had worked on the strange metal, as a thanks for saving him from a group of rival-company-sent assassins. Personality:
Avus is a strong willed man, dead set in his beliefs. Most of them are widely respected and socially approved of, and some of them, while practical, are considered very... radical. Apart from this, he is very knowledgeable in his subject, that being History. He enjoys the subject greatly, and will often times be seen talking to an eager student after class.

While he can be considered a "retired" Hunter, he is still in his prime, and is more than happy to assist in teaching a student a few fighting tactics. Not only that, but he can on occasion be seen in the Emerald Forest attacking Grimm, something he likes to consider his "alone time". He will almost always come here when he is in a bad mood, since it helps him clear his mind and focus on a problem.

Likes: History, reading, writing, helping his students
Dislikes: Annoying students, students who don't pay attention, bullies, losing, illiteracy
Semblance type: Speed/Agility. Simply put, Avus' semblance allows him to move at incredible speeds and perform incredible feats of agility and acrobatics.

While the blades themselves seem simple, they actually have a form of smart metal inside of them that in essence, allow him to make the two swords smaller so that he can carry them around more easily. The blades themselves seem to "melt" into the handle, and become the size of a dagger.
Apart from this, the blades themselves are incredibly light, but incredibly durable.

Background:
Avus was born in Vale, and actually showcased magnificent skill with a blade very early on. In school, he made excellent use of training swords, and almost never lost to another student, save for when he got a tad bit too cocky.

He eventually went to Beacon Academy, and was deemed leader of his own team. During his time in his team, he and his teammates managed to successfully be in the top ranking teams of the school consistently. When they graduated and eventually parted ways, Avus eventually found himself in Atlas, where he spent a good few years of his life. He spent a good few years moving around, eventually finding his passion for history.

When he was 30, he returned to Vale, since he never truly felt at home in any of the other Kingdoms. Once Ozpin was aware of his return and his new found interest in History, he offered him a position at Beacon, due to an open position since the previous teacher had a slight accident involving a Nevermore.

Since then, he has taught History to the new students of Beacon, and occasionally sparred with them if they requested it.

Extra:
Avus is highly adept with a sword, and due to his nature of using two swords, is ambidextrous. He prefers to use his speed and agility to his advantage. Even with some of the students' semblance to slow down their perception of time, he is still quick in their eyes, simply because they are still in their learning phases of their Semblance, and he has mastered his.

@Iejir Katana's too thin but maybe a bastard sword would work if he's using the blade itself. Otherwise in this world he's perfectly capable of having the sheath do the majority of transformation.

Another part of foldable frames is that it seems to materialize parts at will. "The weapons are all but impossible to make in real life." Hence why a hangbag turns into a machine gun. (I looked. A lot..... I like machine guns... and mortors. Ooooh I should have a mortor pop into the chapter at some point! :D)

Gwen's staff is a form of a foldable frame weapon (I know I don't have her sheet up yet, I have finals to be studying for) Since it can go from a staff to a Gatling Gun to a sort of rocket lancher.

As for her semblance of dust activation, it can go to her desire to use power to protect people close to her, no matter the cost. In this case it's a cost of the controling patterns of glyphs to activate dust in glyph spell like manners (that said if she has a glyph traced out or something she can force a glyph to activate with enough Dust)

Semblance: Dust manipulation - The ability to manipulate the power of dust without having to use glyphs. While it is easier to use Glyphs, manipulating dust directly has a more powerful effect.

Personality:
She still suffers from PTSD over losing her team mates. She's afraid to get close to anyone now, fearing she'd lose them as well. Before all this happened she was your happy and bubbly student at Beacon, living without a care. Now she wanders just a shell of her former self, her interactions with others usually a facade.

Weapon of choice: A large staff, a defensive weapon, that can transform into one of two guns. It can become a mini gun or a rocket launcher. She prefers to keep it in staff form to manipulate Dust most effectively. If she has to use a gun she'll use the mini gun because it doesn't use use as much dust as the rocket launcher. The rocket launcher is rarely used because each shot uses up a lot of dust in her weapon.

Bio:
Gwen has had a hard life. Being a faunus has left her discriminated against. She was a member of the White Fang when it was a peaceful protest movement, but when the leader switched leaders and became violent she decided to leave the group. Soon she decided that she'd follow the path of a huntress to rise above the discrimination of her people and prove they are not to be stepped upon like trash.

Her first year at beacon ended prematurely. She had the luck to get a group who's initials spelled out MIRG, Mirage. However when you turned it backwards you got GRIM, and people associated their group with the monsters they faced because of Gwen being a faunus. Midway through her first year her team fell upon tragedy in a field exercise against the Grimm. Gwen was the only survivor and even then she had to be hospitalized for the rest of the year. Not just because of her physical injuries, but the mental ones as well. She had watched her teammates get butchered by the Grimm one by one and it affected her hard. It was questionable if she would recover till one day, she got up out of bed on her own. She grabbed a heirloom from each of her former teammates and put them on before saying she was returning to school.


Sorrow is Gwen's codename as a part of team LOSS.

As Sorrow she hides her face behind a near expressionless mask with spiral glyphs etched into it, a relatively unknown form of glyph use right now.

When out as Sorrow, she trades her staff Roulette for a darker looking blade staff she has dubbed Despair. It is made from dark metals and like Roulette it has glyphs etched into it, however these glyphs cannot be shuffled around for different effects. Each glyph in Despair has it's purpose. It is loaded with various kinds of Dust in it's refined state, but the blade itself is made out of various Dust crystals.

The blade of the staff can be fired off, connected to the staff by a chain. Otherwise the blade staff can shift into a rifle form, the blade sinking into the staff and spliting in two to provide an opening for the barrel to fire out it's ammunition.

while sheathed the sword becomes a rifle, a red stripe along the top and an orange stripe along the bottom. the triggers are the same but the uses different. the red dust becomes explosive projectiles fired from a small barrel the end of the sheath connected to the red line, the orange is the same but has a more close range shotgun like blast from another barrel under the red one. the sheath can also be fired off with a surprising amount of force and like the blade the main part of it is black.

Tiy carries two canisters, one inside Todomé's hilt and the second in a specially designed pouch on his thigh. the pouch has a small supply of reserve dust that automatically refills the canisters once they're placed into the pouch slot. there is enough spare dust to refill both canisters once and each canister holds 12 shots (rifle) and 15 seconds (sword) of both dusts.

Background: coming from a family of hunters Jack is a third generation hunter with hunters and huntresses on both sides of his family. his family started training him while he was still young, pushing him hard to live upto the family name by punishing him any time filed to meet their high expectations, the somewhat harsh upbringing leaving him emotionally unstable and with a difficulty dealing with negative emotions, taught that they were something he shouldn’t feel.
he has since discovered both a love for the work of a hunter and a love for the uniqueness of peoples weapons, believing that they are a type of gateway into the persons soul. He graduated from signal with relative ease, pushing himself to get into beacon until he was accepted, subconsciously fearing his family’s wrath if he failed to be accepted.

I fixed some of my spelling issues which I found (due to my complete majority of usage on a phone). Though there is the matter of me finding the grammatical errors in it. Here's the big thing I want to know:
What does his Semblance do?

What his semblance does is give him control over electrostatic electricity and is able to discharge it. You can see the static everytime he runs in which arcs of electricity can be seen flowing on his boots. When he comes to a stop, you don't see that anymore. Originally the idea was to have the rifle be an semblance-ammo gun, in which his semblance gives the gun its ammo to fire, but that wouldn't be possible.

He can discharge the electricity by two means, the sword or his fists. It doesn't do a strong amount of damage to where you be shocked by at least 80 volts. The charge on the electricity he gives off can only go up to 50 volts or less; it cannot go any higher than that even if he wants it to, unless there's a way to amplify the output.

You need some kind of limit. It wouldn't be happening all the time, because that would be a bit OP. And you also need a toll that it would take on you, at least at the moment while you're still working on developing the semblance to mastery.

And then add that to your sheet.

Originally the idea was that it would give him a slight speed boost, but you wouldn't have liked it because you would think I was trying to copy Ruby a bit.

Tell me if this is ok, everytime he discharges it, he gets a slight jolt due to feedback. As for limit, it's pretty obvious to how that would be. The charge only be accumulated while running, but he'll lose the charge the more time he's not running.

It'd more even if it was while running than whenever. He may not be running all the time in battle due to him being pinned down, or taking up a defensive position. Plus like all charges, they gradually increase over time. So by having him run instead, the period would be slightly (not entirely) short and sporadic. I would say 5 mins tops or more would make him reach his maximum limit. Plus the energy would go away when not in use like those wind-up battery flashlights.

The energy would be lost quicker than it would take him to charge it up.

it's not all that unrealistic that he wouldn't be able to get the yellow dust. if the person has a lot of bad luck then only being able to get to the store when they're either out or he the price is to high wouldn't be all that uncommon especially if people use more of that type in the area. it would mean that the character would have bad luck throughout the rp but it's not all that unlikely

Punished, your semblance requires your character to Run or be generally an active sort. A depressed teen going through the motions of life wouldn't fit this semblance very well, it's totally left field.

Think not of your semblance being there to cover your weakness. Think of it as being your strength.

If your character is a (boring) constant depressed emo for no real reason (Gwen lost her entire team before her eyes just a year before) other than to be depressed then something like pushing weight down upon someone or to make one's actions sluggish would be fitting. You don't care for yourself so your semblance wouldn't really be something directly affect yourself.

A person with a protective personality would absorb or reflect away attacks.

A hyperactive person would be fast, hard to catch.

A constant;y happy/annoying person would be a bright beacon, maybe even blinding.

Remember to take such into account when making your semblance: How does it reflect your(character's) personality?

That could work Snake, Lacking direction is a leading cause of depression, not knowing what to do with himself until at some event the lightbuld went off, I'd still steer clear of "Depression" since at that young an age the mindset to get depressed hasn't been established. A young child I'd say is more confused or lost than depressed.

Personality: Marigold is somewhat hot headed, more of a "shoot first, ask later" kinda gal. She's a bit of a loud mouth as well, not at all afraid to call you a, "fucking idiot who needs to go back to grade school." But she's funny about it, and it'll be obvious when she's actually upset or angry at you. Otherwise, she's just a bundle of silliness that's surprisingly caring about her friends.

Likes: Fighting, the wilderness, action movies, learning battle strategies
Dislikes: Complete boredom, chick flicks, sitting still for more than ten minutes if it's not necessary, losing

Semblance type: Eye of the Tiger: If Marigold gets frustrated enough, she'll fall into a slightly more primal sense of fighting, her fighting getting faster and looser in terms of attacks, but all the stronger. Her physical abilities get heightened considerably, but not absurdly. A solid defense can allow for less harm taken by her attacks, but an incredible fighter would be needed to block or dodge all of her Primal Attacks.

Weapon: She wears two metal bands around her upper arms and gloves on her hands that, when in battle, extend to cover the entirety of her arms and her hands (the gloves and bands extend their metals to meet and "meld" together.) The metal itself is made of Tungsten and Steel, with each of the fingers each having a small reservoir of various kinds of Dust.
Outside of battle, the bands simply retreat back and look like simple bands of metal, and the gloves can become finger-less until another battle.

Background: Marigold knew at a very young age that she wanted to be a Huntress. Reading all the books about their adventures and heroic acts, coupled with her vivacious and aggressive attitude, she was perfect for the job.

In school she would constantly get in fights which resulted in her getting sent home a lot of the time, but once she was able to get into a proper school where she was supposed to fight, she excelled, created her weapons herself and was soon given a spot at Beacon Academy. There, she was eventually paired with Avus, Byrne and Rosyna, making up the team known as AMBR. Together, they were very, very well known in Beacon, often coming out on top when it came to Team Battles.
Once they graduated, she, along with Bryne and Rosyna, began travelling, offering their help where it was needed, constantly checking in on Avus, who had gone off on his own to pursue his wild historical addiction.

He's more than willing to fight Grimm, but otherwise, he'll sit back and just enjoy life. He's rarely angry or sad, and his personality is energizing and calming to many.

Likes: Fun, relaxing, being with friends, brainstorming
Dislikes: Angry people, unneeded fighting, sad people

Semblance type: Byrne's semblance allows him to energize and rejuvenate a teammate in battle, allowing them to have increased stamina and make an exhausted person feel alert and ready to battle. He can also reverse this effect, but only to the point it feels as though an enemy has been doing something for hours with little to no break. Someone with an excellent amount of stamina can easily shrug off this feeling, as well as someone with a strong will to keep going.

Weapon: Byrne carries a staff that is capable of splitting in two. The staff pieces are capable of becoming electrified, but not overtly charged. If the two pieces make up the entire staff, the staff carries both charges, making it capable of stunning enemies for a short second if they're of weak fortitude.
He can also direct the energy, so if he can push someone against the wall with the end of it, he can send a wave of electricity down the staff.
In order to counteract it from working on him, he has gloves that negate the energy from affecting him. His jacket is also made of the same material.

Background: Byrne was always a bundle of joy and energy. He rarely cried when he was a child and even those that didn't like children seemed to find him enjoyable to have around. He was immensely popular in school, but never really let it get to him. He always had a dream to go travel around the world and help people, and he felt the best way to do that was become a Huntsman. He was superb in battle, and was well known in his school for being an amazing staff user. When he was offered a place at Beacon, he was put in a team with Avus, Marigold and Rosyna. And the rest is history.

Extra: Byrne isn't afraid of battle. He's just a peaceful person who'd like nothing more than for violence to end. But don't underestimate his ability to get upset. It takes a lot, but when he gets angry, he, like the rest of his team, are brutal in battle.

That outfit is not at all what she wears. Rosyna is very casual when it comes to clothing, typically being seen wearing a t-shirt and jeans. However, she's also confident about her body and most of her shirts show a tad bit of cleavage and her jeans are form fitting. When she dresses fancy, she will dress more promiscuously, more so out of self-confidence than to tease men. She also wears a black jacket and when it's cold, a dark grey scarf.

So often times, she can be seen flirting with men in order to get information, and even when just out and about, inadvertently flirts with men. She's just a natural flirt. She's a girl that doesn't like taking no for an answer, and because of that is somewhat stubborn, more so than her teammates.

Dislikes: Being in restricting clothing, long skirts, turtlenecks, math, the word "no" (within reason, of course. She's not an idiot)

As a result of her personality and her physicality, she's got an affinity for heat. She's capable of transferring heat around her body to make it seem as though she's on fire, which is helpful for enemies that use hand to hand combat. She can somewhat transfer the heat onto her weapon to make it searingly painful.

Weapon: Rosyna's weapon is made of the same material as Avus'. However, instead of it being able to miniaturize, it is capable of morphing into three different forms. One being a battle axe, another being a short sword and another being a small rifle. The way it works is by this: the metal melds into the desired form through a small button on the hilt of the weapon. Depending on the desired form, it will distribute the metal where it needs to be, and will act as the weapon. Specifically for the rifle form, it is fed a clip of bullets via the butt of the hilt. So, it can always be loaded, but unable to fire unless the weapon is in rifle form. When she's not using it, she will most always have it in its short sword form, since it's the most convenient shape, and it's easy to buy a sheath for it. Included, the rifle's effective range isn't very far, on average about half a mile, and if the weather is good, 3/4ths of a mile.

Background: Rosyna was always a troublesome child. Always seemed to be in the wrong crowd, although she never got into the trouble they did, and had a lot of boyfriends when she hit the equivalent of middle school. She, like her teammates, was offered a spot at Beacon Academy due to her exceptional fighting style with a short sword. Her dream of becoming a fighter was quickly becoming true.

There, she was teamed with Avus, Marigold and Byrne, and they quickly took Beacon by storm. Setting records and coming out the top team, they were the perfect team.

During her time at Beacon, she was... rather touchy feely with many of the students, but very few got farther than some personal touches. There was one person she always had an eye for, however. That person being Avus. It drove her crazy that he seemed to see her only as a friend, at least until the night of the dance. That was the first time they hooked up, and while they've never exactly been in a proper relationship, they care very, very deeply for one another. There's an unspoken agreement that when they retire, they'll actually start dating for real, and see what happens.

Extra: Avus and Rosyna have never officially dated, much to the chagrin of their teammates, but one day they intend to actually be in a proper relationship with one another.

While in battle, he wears the bandana shown in the picture. His armor is made up of a metal made by the Kingdom of Atlas. He received his armor as a token of gratitude from one of the scientists that had worked on the strange metal, as a thanks for saving him from a group of rival-company-sent assassins. Personality:
Avus is a strong willed man, dead set in his beliefs. Most of them are widely respected and socially approved of, and some of them, while practical, are considered very... radical. Apart from this, he is very knowledgeable in his subject, that being History. He enjoys the subject greatly, and will often times be seen talking to an eager student after class.

While he can be considered a "retired" Hunter, he is still in his prime, and is more than happy to assist in teaching a student a few fighting tactics. Not only that, but he can on occasion be seen in the Emerald Forest attacking Grimm, something he likes to consider his "alone time". He will almost always come here when he is in a bad mood, since it helps him clear his mind and focus on a problem.

Likes: History, reading, writing, helping his students
Dislikes: Annoying students, students who don't pay attention, bullies, losing, illiteracy
Semblance type: Speed/Agility. Simply put, Avus' semblance allows him to move at incredible speeds and perform incredible feats of agility and acrobatics.

While the blades themselves seem simple, they actually have a form of smart metal inside of them that in essence, allow him to make the two swords smaller so that he can carry them around more easily. The blades themselves seem to "melt" into the handle, and become the size of a dagger.
Apart from this, the blades themselves are incredibly light, but incredibly durable.

Background:
Avus was born in Vale, and actually showcased magnificent skill with a blade very early on. In school, he made excellent use of training swords, and almost never lost to another student, save for when he got a tad bit too cocky.

He eventually went to Beacon Academy, and was deemed leader of his own team. During his time in his team, he and his teammates managed to successfully be in the top ranking teams of the school consistently. When they graduated and eventually parted ways, Avus eventually found himself in Atlas, where he spent a good few years of his life. He spent a good few years moving around, eventually finding his passion for history.

When he was 30, he returned to Vale, since he never truly felt at home in any of the other Kingdoms. Once Ozpin was aware of his return and his new found interest in History, he offered him a position at Beacon, due to an open position since the previous teacher had a slight accident involving a Nevermore.

Since then, he has taught History to the new students of Beacon, and occasionally sparred with them if they requested it.

Avus is highly adept with a sword, and due to his nature of using two swords, is ambidextrous. He prefers to use his speed and agility to his advantage. Even with some of the students' semblance to slow down their perception of time, he is still quick in their eyes, simply because they are still in their learning phases of their Semblance, and he has mastered his.

@Chief Team LOSS is the team consisting of "poached" Hunters in training created to keep the ANGELs I revealed in chapter 1 both a secret.. and safe. So if you know Red vs Blue imagine that team LOSS are a bunch of recovery agents.... Without the healthcare benefits. Or pay.
