No matter how far humanity may advance, there are things that should always remain a mystery to them. There were times so dark in the history of man, that no one was meant to remember.

During the dawn of man, there was a select few that became genetically different than the norm. They did this out of an act of desperation and a savage need to survive. Several select tribes at the dawn of man suffered from drought, famine, and disease. They were dying, withering away like leaves in the fall.

These tribes raided the other, more prosperous tribes; they killed them on the rocks, on the shores, in their homes, and on the plains. Those whom were not killed, became a source for food.

However, when the Spring returned and brought back the crops, the tribes that went savage refused to return to their old ways of life, finding themselves more than human. These predators had greater eyesight, incredible strength, impossible reflexes, and a thirst for Lifeblood. They became the first Vampires.

Down through out human history, Vampires have seeded themselves in every kind of society all across the globe. Using their superior intellect to gain power and wealth and land beyond imagining. They seemed to be invincible, except to silver, which is fatal if put through the head or the heart.

Ancient Greece, one of the most popular homes to Vampiric society, was the birthing ground of another race of legend. There was a Vapiric noble with very strange tastes, one of which was a sexual attraction to female animals, especially those of the canis family.
This sick individual, by some abnormality brought upon his body by Vampirism, allowed him to impregnate a she-wolf. That she wolf bore a litter of two. Romulus and Remus, the first two Lycanthropes.

Hisotry progressed and myths grew. Numbers expanded, though Vampires and Werewolves are still very rare compared to the mass of humanity that threatens to snuff them out.

Vampires
Vampires are beings that revolve around logic. They have genius intellect and the agility of a cat to boot. Not to mention their impressive strength. They are like a scalpel, sharp and quick, cutting swiftly and only needing to cut once. They prefer to use politics and business to get the job done. Hiring humans or sicking their Little Brothers and Sisters on the people causing trouble. Vampires have their longevity and supernatural gifts as long as they continue to feed on Lifeblood, the blood of humans. Animal blood can sustain them, but it turns them into ghoulish monstrosities that only need to be put down. Vampires are highly allergic to silver. If it remains in the bloodstream too long, it can be fatal. Beheading and removal of the heart as well as being bled dry are all fatal blows. Blood from a corpse is highly toxic to them if the corpse is over 24 hours old. It weakens them and makes them highly vulnerable.

Lycanthropes
Lycans, or werewolves, are the "Little Siblings" of the Vampires. Their species are highly similar, but so different at the same time. If Vampires are like a scalpel, Werewolves are like sledgehammers. Their world revolves around emotion. Lycanthropes are all about emotions. They are highly social creatures, needing to be part of a Pack to remain sane and wholesome. However, when they are alone, they can be more dangerous than a Pack all together, simply because the Lycan has everything to gain and nothing lose if it is alone. When a Werewolf changes, it is usually at night, for subtleties sake. Werewolves can only fully go through the change when they are going through puberty. Like the Vampires, Lycans have extremely long lives, but a short life expectancy. Why? Because they live on extreme emotions, there is no middle ground; it is love or hate.
When they change completely, they become a predator meant to kill and destroy. Doubling in size, they become a muscle that will gladly help their Elder Siblings.

Vampires and Werewolves are not at war with each other, per se. They are family. They are all part of the same core species. Both are weak to silver and both are strongest in the night. However, they do have the human element as a part of them.

There are Five Clans; each have claims all over the world. There has been conflict among the Clans since they existed. Wars for territory, resources, honor, revenge, you name it.

Every Vampire and Werewolf belongs to a Clan. These Clans are like the crime families of old New York. Just like them actually, since the mobs were tools of the Clans.

Packs:
Packs are gatherings of Lycanthropes. Usually as little as four or five to as many as twenty or thirty, maybe more. The most common version of Packs seen nowadays are in the form of Biker Gangs.

The Plot:
The Five Clans are at each other's throats. They have been living in a neutral peace ever since World War II. But now, the daughter of the Lord Elder fornicated and was impregnated without his consent. This, causing such outrage, has finally rekindled the ageless wildfire among the Clans.

He prefers to do his more up-close-and-personal kills with his bare hands, which have the strength to smash through cinderblock or crush a skull in his human form.

Personality: No Bullshit. Cares for his Pack like they are family. They are family. Has a serious problem with authority. He does love big cigars, beautiful females, strong drink, and a good fucking [hunt]. But above all, he cares for his mate. She lights the fire under his ass that keeps him going, and he will love her always for that and so much more.

History: Lycanthropy became fully developed in Leon at a young age, seeing as how he hit puberty early. That was 1918 when that happened. Being part of a German borne pack, he and the rest of his Packmates had to constantly be on the move to avoid apprehension and experimentation by the Nazis. Many of his pack were lost, less than a dozen of them still live, and he constantly makes sure they are alright. He lost someone very dear to a silver bullet, his first love and the female he was going to mate with for life. She was killed by a Clan Sanguine soldier, starting his burning vendetta against them.
He found love again in the formof his current mate, Acacia Rios. He would do anything for her, more for her than the pack, and that is saying something. Their romantic life has waned and suffered somewhat under the light of recent events with the Clans, and that rips at his heart with claws of ice. More than anything, he wants to find a good, safe spot of territory in which his pack can settle and call home. He is their Leader, he needs to bear all of their burdens, orat least that is how he feels. Once they find their own Promised Land, his one yonder star is the promise of family.

Reason for Fighting: Revenge, the thrill of the kill, for his pack, but for his mate most of all.

When he got bitten at the age of thirty, thus making him immortal, he found that the thrill of stalking his prey in the night to give him a sick kind of pleasure that he indulged often. some other facts about Lycanthropy:
There are various forms one can take.
There is the Garou form, the massively destructive bipedal werewolf. The embodiment of raging hate, misery, inconsolable rage, and murderous intent.

There is the True Wolf. A wolf that is about the size of a small pony at the smallest. This form is brought about by lust, love, and sorrow.

Near-Wolf is a half-human half-wolf transformation. This happens whenever emotions are boiling and burning, but are being stifled.

All forms are also susceptible to the desire to mate and copulate. Whichever Form your character takes the most, that is the one they will resort to in these situations. Ye hath be warned, horn dogs.

Moon phases are like red flags to werewolves. The more the moon shows, the more inclined to change they are. Birth Moons allow the Lycan to change with Full Moon ferocity whenever their birth moon is. If their birth moon is a full moon, they will become a Feral Garou, a being simply meant to destroy.

Lycan females are subject to heat phases, thus they must be on guard whenever that is just in case a male get's too bold and drawn in by the scent of heat.

Vampires and Werewolves can couple and even breed, but it is usually avoided, seeing as how the abomination of mixing the species is either a stillborn or is so feral minded, it attacks the mother on the way out, often killing her in the process. There has only been a handful of sane Wilders, most of which have a short life expectancy. They usually do not live past their teenage years, since the mixed genes cause the first Change to kill them. Only one has lived past their teenage years and still lives today, though no one knows where this individual is except the Elders.

When a Lycan changes, everything doubles in size. Muscle, bone, organs, the whole shibang. To whit, when they change back, they will not miraculously have bits of cloth covering certain areas. It's a mature RP. Deal with it.

I am making this post for lycans because I have changed quite a lot about them while still staying true to their original legend.

Personality: She enjoys playing games but ensures everyone knows their place. She is highly protective over any pups in the pack and is wary, albeit curious, of Vampires or Lycanthropes she hasn’t met before. She only takes orders from her mate, Leon, but follows his word as best she can. They share a passionate relationship although their romantic feelings for each other have waned due to the stresses and strains faced as Alphas. It saddens her but she holds hope that they will pull through as a pair and she hopes to bear his pups one day. She is considered the most beautiful wolf of the pack but has also proved herself more capable in battle than most females – The reason for which she has remained the female Alpha of the pack.

History: Their pack has been travelling as of late and is looking for safe, resourceful place to mark their territory, in the hope of expanding their numbers. Although her and her mate hope to find such a location without bloodshed, they are both willing to fight for such a place.

Adriana stands at about five feet and seven inches tall, weighing approximately one hundred and fifty two pounds as a woman. She isn’t a thin girl – she can down a triple cheeseburger with the best of them (and won’t hesitate, too) – but a majority of her weight is in muscle. She has quite a pretty face when she isn’t wearing a scowl or bleeding and her body is all graceful curves framed by muscle to rival any of her Brother’s.

As a lycanthrope, her body type doesn’t change much – rock hard muscle, but not in massive amounts. She’s swift, strong, and most importantly extraordinarily deadly.

Personality: Like many of her kind, Adriana has a hot temper and snappish mouth when someone pushes the right buttons (of which there are many and tend to be hyper-sensitive to those outside her Pack), but she’s a faithful soul who is loyal to the end. Despite being know for her flirtatious nature and teasing, Adriana has had few mates and is definitely not an easy catch. Some men have described her as, “In love with love,” (mostly because, other than on nights of the Full Moon, when Changed, she can be found as a True Wolf) or “Needing to wear a ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign about her neck,” but her Pack knows her to be one of the more empathetic members and probably the easiest to talk to. Adriana also adores a good game of chase and romping, in the sheets or otherwise; it isn’t a secret that she enjoys all the wonderful bad things you aren’t supposed to do in life – one thing she’s rather strict about, however, is keeping her body and mind healthy, meaning no drugs or alcohol, often enjoying her, “Natural high on life,” she says.

Personality: He is calmed and relaxed, usually tending to be more of the quiet type. But even so he is not afraid to voice his opinion. He well do anything to protect the pact, and gives them the respect they deserve. This being said he also expects others to show him the resepct he deserves. Otherwise prepare for a fight. Due to the fact that he is smaller than most other male Lycanthropes he has also learned to use his head when in battle. As for mates he is still looking for his "Mate for life". He's not sure exatually what he is looking for, all he knows is he likes the company of beautiful women.

History: Was born in Scotland back in 1929. Due to his size Nicoli has had to fight many times for his position in the pack. Most believe that his size makes him weaker. Because of this he has to work hard and prove himself many times over just to gain his packs respect and to show them he is no weakling. As for positions in the pack Nicoli is satisfied with being the packs male Beta. He doesn’t have much of an interest for being the Alpha for he knows that Leon is doing a much better job than he ever could.

Weapons of Choice: - A pair of finely sharpened scalpels, usually hidden in his sleeves.
Personality: Authoritative or in a position of power or leadership. Feels that current difficulties are causing problems and he is unable to progress further. Determined and commanding he strives for his goals despite the obstacles he faces.

Demands to be noticed by others as an important individual, needs attention and recognition. His current situation is leaving him dissatisfied. He feels he needs to make friends with those who hold the same high standards he does. Wants to stand out as someone at the top of his class and be admired by others. He needs to feel in control which makes it difficult to give of himself to another person. He feels isolated and alone but refuses to appear weak and continues to be emotionally distant from others in order to keep his attitude of superiority.

Insists his hopes and ideas are realistic and achievable, but needs encouragement and support. His self-centeredness can cause him to take things too personally.

He feels life in general is handing him to many difficult and unpleasant things, but no one else seems to agree with him. He is resistant to joining in with others and want to be left alone.

Fear of being prevented from achieving the things he wants causes him to take advantage of all types of other experiences, but then denies any of them have value to him. His destructive behavior is his way of escaping and hiding the helplessness he feels.

Struggles with his need for respect and admiration from others; feels he needs to make a name for himself and stand out from the crowd. He acts out by insisting he be the center of attention, and refuses to step back, stand down, or take on a minor, insignificant role.


Rank: Was a doctor of sorts when he was still of the living, now works as a doctor in case any one in injured, more or less of his werewolf counterparts to remove bits and pieces of weapons.

Lilith stands at a slim, statuesque 5’9. She carries herself with a regal air, hauntingly beautiful in the classical sense. Deep blue eyes stand out against her pale skin and dark curls, and a sly smile often decorates her lips.

Area of Expertise: Flexible to her clan's needs, but her passion is espionage, assassination, and thievery. Some of the cruder arts maybe, but deception requires cunning, which is much more exciting than simple brute force in Lilith's opinion.

Weapons of Choice: A set or ornamental throwing daggers and a HK UPS (http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/4667/3611/320/hk_usp9.jpg) handgun. Although she prefers the knives for their elegance, a gun just seems to be a necessity in this day and age.

Personality: Lilith’s upbringing as a mortal still has some impact on her personality. She values good breeding and good manners and prides herself on great control and poise. She has a quiet, yet powerful voice and a polite laugh. Upon meeting her, a stranger might think Lilith to be reserved, but if asked she will happily speak whatever is on her mind. And be wary, as there are times when her temper slips and all hell breaks loose. She loves learning new things, music, order and sense, and despises impulsive decisions.

Rank: Capo (in mafia speak) or captain. High enough in the ranks to have a say of what goes on, but low enough to still get her hands dirty.

History: Born to a mortal, well to do family in the Victorian era, Lilith had an upbringing second only to a princess at the time. She was never left wanting and was schooled in arts, music, manners, and all the subject that were expected of a proper young lady. But class cannot protect from the lure of the night. Shortly before her 21st birthday, Lilith was deceived by a vampire parading as a charming gentleman.

After her change, returning to her family was out of the question, and Lilith wasn’t sure she wanted to anyway. The world of the immortals provided so many new and exciting opportunities. Embracing her future, she dove headfirst into the vampire lifestyle, learning and completing whatever tasks she was assigned. This quickly proved that she was strong member of the clan.

Your Reason for Fighting: As Valintine has always prided itself as being the highest class of clans, at least in their own opinion, Lilith feels that an opportunity to side with Leon is a chance to advance their own status.

Personality: Morgan is quite the character. She can have quite the psychotic mood swings and is seen as just a crazy woman to most of the world with her hazey yellow eyes and her loopy mind set. She is like a wandering teen on an acid trip, or atleast looks like it. She stumbles around most times and twirls around as if frolicking in some kind of field of her own.

Even though this exterior of hers can make her seem like an easy target, as soon as she is completely focused on something, which can happen in mere milliseconds, she is deadly and precise. Her mind play is what gets her the best of her abilities since she can toy with the minds of those who think they can easily assault her.

It is easy to tell when she is upset or something is bothering her when her smile fades and her eyes stay concentrated on one thing and she is messing with her hands. This doesnt happen too often but when she is stuck on something it is hard to resolve what it is.

Tends to wander off at times, and gets lost. pretty knowledable about multiple things, and also has a reallly strong backbone. (gets really protective at times)

History: First official transformation was at the age of 18 when she was completely matured (body wise). She's just followed the pack around, helping out when needed during the time they've been together. Not much exciting history to note down.

Weapons of Choice: He forsakes the traditional easily concealed weapon for a silver edged katana. However, he tends to have a pair of spring loaded blades on his wrists for times when he is without his signature weapon. As a backup, he carries a .22 revolver with silver rounds for those "just in case" situations.

Personality: He's almost the stereotypical assassin. Calm, cold, and mostly quiet. Life's just wine, cigarettes, and killing. Oh, and the enjoyment of said things. He'll be quick to voice his dislike of something, and just as quick to turn it into chopped sushi. Likewise, he's as quick to pat another family member on the back for a job well done.
Rank: Lieutenant, though he was a Private in Russia 200 years ago.

History: While he was still human, he was a soldier in the Russian army. He'd enlisted in 1808 near the beginning of the brief war with the Turks. After the final rout of the enemy forces in 1812, he decided he wanted to travel. He got around on several boats and made it as far as China, and one way or another, he managed to pick a fight with a monk and got his ass soundly kicked by the little guy. So began his obsession with fighting. He decided to return to the motherland the long way, and began learning with every master he could find along the way.

He was a great student, taking everything his teachers hit him with and more. His training is actually what turned him into the disciplined and sophisticated assassin he is today. Otherwise he'd likely be the "SLAUGHER THEM ALL!!!!" kind of vampire.

But one way or another, it was his misfortune to find a vampire that was using it's superior speed and strength to pretend to be a master. He was soon fed upon and turned into a student of a different sort. He didn't take the vampirism as a curse like most would at the time. He found it was a blessing, and used his new power to the best of his ability. He's worked for the Sanguine clan since then, using his spare time over the last 180 something years to learn new ways to fight and improve his overall technique, even traveling to Japan when their ports finally reopened.

After years of being a Sire to a new generation of American Vampires. Raze moved home and joined the Sanguine. And became head of day to day operations in the clan. He lives alone respectively in his hovel just above his establishment pen named from the most famed vampires Arcady Dracul. And henceforth the Arcady bar and Inn became a Sanctum for Sanguine Operatives.

On a day to day basis Raze assigns operations to the old blood and new blood. Some say he even has a hand in the torturing of the Lycan. If that must be the price to pay to protect his kindred.

Area of expertise: Dice is well-spoken and highly-intelligent; a natural problem solver (even as a human), she’ll always manage to find her way through a tough situation. As a result of having traveled extensively around the world with her vampire teacher, Dice is streetwise and skilled in several areas; in particular (much to the cynic of the Sanguine clan), technology. Taking an instant liking to the constant creations in the field by humankind - from the nineties and particularly the 21st century - Dice couldn’t help but immediately immerse herself in the world of technology, coming up with some creations of her own; particularly a laptop chock-a-block full with several applications and software that she’s constantly modifying. At times, when working on her laptop, it’s as if the rest of the world doesn’t exist. Also, thanks again to the vampire who taught her, Dice is a talented swordfighter and manages the weapon with a deadly skill.
Weapon: Whilst having enough skill to act as a sniper if necessary, Dice generally uses her sword (which she’s holding her picture). An archaic, beautiful given to her by the teacher who taught her, she’s been well-trained in the art of using the weapon.

Personality: “Kill first, ask questions later”. It’s by this motto that Dice has lived most of her vampire life by; transformed into a supernatural creature on the brink of death, Dice’s teacher - a sarcastic male vampire by the name of Cube - was quick to teach her that in the vampire world, things were quite different. “Don’t trust anyone. Anyone. Even me. Never forget and never forgive,” he told her, “there’s no morality and definitely no mercy. Act before thinking; kill first, ask questions later.” Dice was quick to learn this herself as the pair embarked across the world; encountering a wide variety of people - from sickly mortals to conniving vampires and even, on rare occasions, lone werewolves.

As a result of her training, Dice is a thoughtful, intense and edgy character; despite having parted from Cube long ago, she stills holds much of his philosophy close to her heart. It had helped her in the past and she was more than sure it would help her in the future. Intelligent and curious, Dice is constantly attempting to solve problems and find new ways around things; particularly with technology (a field she found herself surprisingly comfortable with) or disputes between the Sanguine clan. As a member of the clan, Dice has always found herself in the centre of action, playing an almost Harley Quinn-like role to the leader’s Joker in brutal murders; however, despite acting her part efficiently and quietly, at times she can’t help but watch the others in an amused fascination, analysing their every move.

Once Dice has a goal in mind; there’s no stopping her. She’ll logically think through the path necessary to undertake and systematically undergo it. She won’t let anything get in her way; and if anyone attempts to, violence will ensue. Even as a Sanguine member, Dice rarely keeps her quiet and regularly reminds her fellow clan-members of their place with a tongue as sharp as the sword she wields.

History: Born in 1940, Shanghai, as Diane Chen, Diane lived a charmed life to a working-class family in middle-class China. She attended school and excelling in her fields, furthered her education into university; after much studying, she eventually qualified as a teacher and embarked upon a successful career. She enjoyed teaching and loved the constant questions brought to her by her students. For a while her life was pleasant and steady… and she was happy. However it was all to end too soon.

Mao Zedong brought upon the Communist movement in 1949; and eventually the revolution in 1966, throwing the entire country into turmoil. Diane watched sadly, yet helplessly, as her students neglected their studies and instead became brainwashed by the propaganda and politics of the era. However this sadness quickly turned into terror as Zedong became a figurehead of hope and power for much of the Chinese youth and they responded by forming ‘the Red Guards’; quickly targeting the cultural and the scholarly of Chinese society. Being an educator, Diane found herself a target of cruelty and malice by many of her students, their hatred for her quickly escalating into violence when they struck her down, stripped her of her dignity and tortured her - leaving her bleeding and dying in the classroom she had taught them in so many times. It was here, in such a moment of mortality, struggling for mortality, that she came into contact with a vampire - a mysterious man who went by the name ‘Cube’, who would soon become her teacher and companion - for the first time. For reasons he never got around to explaining to her, despite her constant pleading for him to do so, he turned her into a vampire and quickly fled with her far into the Himalayas. High in the mountain ranges she healed and got to know her saviour; as a vampire she found herself a completely different being - her senses had sharpened and even the way she viewed the world, looking upon the country she had grown up in, was far different. Well aware that the period of her life as an educator and a mortal was over, she decided to journey with Cube, leaving behind her family, her friends, her home country, her culture and even her name, when Cube went as far to rechristen her. “It’s a new life now,” he told her, “new life; new name.” Diane Chen died and Dice was born.

The pair journeyed the world; trawling through South-East Asia; Thailand and Malaysia and Vietnam and Cambodia, venturing through the continent and proceeding to the other six continents. As they made their way through Italy and Croatia and Greece and Estonia, Cube taught her about the ways of vampires and taught her in the art of swordfight-ing; bringing her to the level of skill that she is today. They began an almost weird sort of friendship; very comfortable in each others company… and Dice couldn’t help but relish in the vampire’s intelligence and experience. It was however, America that Dice took an instant liking to; the buzz of the cities and the people who lived there took her surprise and the two parted ways after she decided to stay there. Much time has passed since and much has changed, however Dice has stayed very much the same. Even as a member of the Sanguine, there is one goal in her mind that has stayed: to find the students who mistreated her; to torture them and leave them dying the same way they left her all those years ago.

Reason to fight: It seems like the smartest thing to do for the time being.

All of the really pertinent info is at the very beginning of the thread as far as bios and info goes. The IC actually just started and everyone is making their way to each other if I'm correct.

The code for spoilers had to be added because Vbulletin didn't have it so there is a chance that certain browsers won't show spoilers. We know that firefox and ie both work. I use firefox and some of the short cuts such as quick reply won't work on it, but it does on IE.

Lucius's appearance varies, and is fact difficult to place. He has worn many different hairstyles and colors, and takes advantage of color-changing contacts. His manner of dress is hardly set in stone either, and he takes advantage of fashion trends like any normal person. He is a "chameleon" by most descriptions, and his ever-changing appearance has led his true physical description to be something of a legendary myth, surrounded in hearsay and rumors.

He is fond of sunglasses, however, and if you were to run into him on the streets of some major city today, he might be sporting a clean, well-groomed ponytail, neatly tied back and resting a a few inches down his back. Tomorrow, who knows.

The rest will depend on where he is and what he is doing, but by most accounts his teeth are flawlessly white, and his face and skin are fair, pale color. He stands about 6 foot even, and sports an athletic, trim, yet toned figure that appears quite handsome by conventional standards. He likes to travel light, but will certainly dress for the occasion.

Clan: Vampire Elder Regent Lord of Clan Conzetta. His position is an unofficial one, as his existence is not a matter of record. He has never publically or officially come forward to announce his leadership of this Clan, but after a few bloody assassinations, most notably in the 18th and 19th centuries, the top members of Clan Conzetta decided instead to rule as a Council of Twelve, who are rumored to take mysterious orders from a Thirteenth Member. According to legend, this Thirteenth Member is Lucius himself, but he has never attended a meeting and his existence, let alone his appearance are completely uncertain. His unofficial title of "Regent" represents his leadership of a clan that is without a definitive Elder Lord.

Area of Expertise: Lucius is a master of strategy, manipulation, opportunity, deception, swordplay, languages, lore, history, the occult, literature, slight-of-hand, poisons, persuasion, diplomacy, politics, technology, smuggling, criminal organization, and the pleasuring of women.

Weapons of Choice: Lucius has a cane that he is often seen with that has a distinguishing feature: a silver creature resting on top. By all appearances, this creature has an amiable human face, with the body of lion, wings the flare out to the sides a few inches, and reptilian tail that is pointed with a stinger at the end like a scorpion's, spiralling down the shaft. The creature itself takes up the top 8 inches of the cane from head to tail. He also has a switchblade with his initials expertly inlaid in the handle in silver. He detests firearms, but is fond of a nickel-plated Beretta with a silencer, which he loads with a clip of specially crafted ammunition, which he will have on his person if he feels it is necessary.

But really, guns and combat are so uncivilized.

Personality: Rumor has it that Lucius is a very patient, calculating genius. Anyone who has ever claimed to meet him can only agree that he hides his true thoughts and feelings on almost everything and that it's just about impossible to get to know the bastard--and that's part of his game. It is the commonly held belief that if Lucius was to play a game of poker, he would win every time. And some claim he has entered grand tournaments and done just that.

However, among the various other adjectives that have been used to describe him are the following: arrogant, cold, charming, refined, passionate, treacherous, and intimidatingly true to his word.

History: Where to begin? He was born in 1549 in the city of Florence. He was involved in the politics there, as Italy has always been a hothouse of civil in-fighting and political treachery. In the earliest years of his life, he became accustomed to warfare among the Italian states, and then learned from then on that what you were born as didn't confer any sort of inherent power, and under Habsburg Spain, and then Napoleonic France, he had learned that art, education, and learning were more important tools on the path to power and freedom than one's birthright. Even so, he was turned in his mid-20's after he went abroad and north to England during the reign of James I of England, who endorsed the practice of witchcraft and the occult under his rule. In a secret meeting one night in London, he was in the presence of such luminaries as Francis Bacon, Christopher Marlowe, Shakespeare, and others, who he discovered were in actuality, vampires. Alas, James's rule came to an end, Charles took the throne, and the whole business of civil war, to which Lucius was very accustomed, blazed anew in England, ending with the bloody decapitation of that king, at which point Lucius made his way to France and back to Italy, because he simply couldn't stomach Cromwell. It was then that he gathered together some ambitious young lads and formed together Clan Conzetta, with their lair in the heart of Sicily. It was stated from the start that the Clan would be involved in the supply and demand of criminal organization, revolutionary armies, and civil upheavel, to make a profit off of the constant discord of Humanity.

The Puritans had sailed to America by the time Charles II came into power, and following him there was a real need for arms and warfare between the colonies and Napoleon, as Lucius watched the British Empire fend off threats from the continent and colonies at the same time. Of course, he felt that it was a bit too hot to be noble and French at the same time and so he departed to see the "frontier" life of America, and found himself settling down in the city known as New York. It was like a brand new start, and Americans slowly felt their way around politics, intrigue, corruption, gangs, and other saucy pursuits, and Lucius found himself right at home in this melting pot of cultures, thriving in the days of Tammany Hall, Bill "The Butcher" Cutting, Walter "Monk" McGinn, and the American Civil War. And how they fought! Oh the bloodshed, political corruption, and infighting reminded him all those years ago in England, France, and Italy. The Americans were following the European forefathers like young sons taking on the roles--and sins--of their fathers, even if they did swear by their naive little souls that they were distinct in every way. Conzetta had established a firm financial foothold in the City that Never Sleeps by the time Tweed was ousted like the pig he was, and used that monetary base of power to further their presence in the growing United States.

Then came the first World War and the Great Depression that followed. When gun-running wasn't any good, you switched to booze, and gave people the drinks they needed while they wallowed in the shattered pieces of their livelihoods, fresh from the Great Crash of 1929. Lucius remembered fondly when Capone consulted him about "dealing" with Bugs Moran. Those men came in their finest clothes, and died in their finest clothes; seven in all, just as though each and every one represented a deadly sin. How artful that was, and today they still don't have it entirely figured out! Ha. After that, it was easy to return guns with the advent of World War II and the military industrial complex. The hits just kept on coming and soon it was time to cash in on America's thirst for gambling; so Las Vegas, known as "Sin City", was built with investment capital from Conzetta, who own a piece of every ass in that town.

Then of course there was Korea, Kennedy (ha!), Vietnam (what a mess that was!), and then the glorious Cold War. Those were the days; everybody needed weapons. Finally, the Russian mob came to power after that damn wall came down in Germany and the Russians couldn't get their silly heads around the concept of capitalism and democracy. But Lucius hedged his bets, offering black ops deals with private military corporations for the War in Iraq and Afghanistan, and helped smuggle in drugs for suppliers in South and Central America, and has even helped supply the local American population with the weapons everyone seemed to want after Obama got elected. Silly mortals, but you had to give the public what it wanted!

Lucius's whereabouts are (as always) officially unknown, but he is currently residing in the US, after insuring that the bailout money for the latest financial debacle on Wall Street came to Goldman Sachs and other financial firms and banks where he had people installed. Thanks to insider trading, political bribery, and a press blitz on the horrific reality that America faced if the administration didn't do something, that cash vault was opened, trillions of greenbacks were printed, and life... was... good.

There always seems to be another opportunity waiting just around the corner, and it came to the attention of the Council of Twelve that someone had gotten his tarse up the petticoat of an Elder Lord's daughter, taken her virginity, and gotten her pregnant! As this news came to him by word of a little bird, Lucius couldn't help but smirk and think of the start of that ancient Homeric epic about the Trojan War...

Oh History, how you love to repeat yourself. So now we'll all fight over Helen... how quaint.

Yes. The Sanguine Clan is the culprit behind the cause of the whole new conflict. The Valentine and Bravado are old comrades, so they are on less-violent terms. Bravado has a major Vendetta against the Sanguine, Leon most of all. The other two Clans, since they have no leaders playing yet, they are taking a neutral stance in the matter. Preferring to watch their rivals rip eachother apart at then enter the fight once both are weakened and wounded.

Does each clan have a set of beliefs, and why did the Sanguine do this?

The Sanguine are one of the oldest Clans, not to mention the most rich and one of the most powerful. They feel that they should forego tradition and have all of the other Clans subservant to them. Furthermore, Joseph, the Sanguine Elder, is kind of crazy.

The Bravado are the noble warrior types, thus why the Bravado Clan in mostly Lycans. Valentine are efficient and objective oriented, like the Sanguine, but they are not keen on taking life unless it is needed.

The other two Clans are more flexible to what the player wants, since the others are less populated.

Surrounding the plantation was nothing but swamp and bayou country, but the nice slab of land was a great piece of real estate. Isolated for most of his childhood due to their off-the-grid location, he never made any friends besides the numerous amounts of cats and dogs they had. Developed a love for nature and a sense of exploration due to not being able to avoid it.

After leaving his family’s plantation, he decided to explore the rest of the country; starting up the Eastern coast and then out into the midwest. Befriended Theodore Roosevelt in the Oregon badlands, and travelled with him for several months. With him he learned much more about birds and species of animals rather than which ones tasted like what and how to gut them. Adopted Teddy’s own personal philosophy “walk softly and carry a big stick”. After nearly a decade of exploration, he was invited to join the Rough Riders by Theodore himself after the Spanish attacked and sank the USS Maine.

The Rough Riders were one of three groups to actually see action in the Spanish-American war, in the vital and tactical charge at the Battle of San Juan Hill. Hector was one of the minor wounded, but he was able to hold out until the hill was captured, and had the privilege of being in the famous picture taken of the volunteer group after the battle. Received a single purple heart and a single silver star. This only cemented his friendship with Roosevelt, making him receive numerous invitations from him to explore other regions of the world.
Came along with Roosevelt on an African safari, though he could not manage to kill anything himself. It was here that he was originally bitten by another Lycan that attacked the entire group, causing him to contract the disease and become one himself. The beast was cut down by the other hunters near instantly. His trip was cut short and he traveled back to the United States for rest, promising to join his on his next trip. While on his passenger boat, he realized just what had happened to him from the symptoms he had. Spots began to show up on his arms and his eyes were diluted to a yellow tint. Not wanting this secret divulged, he refused medical treatment and spent the next week in solitary pain.

Sought solitude with others of his kind, eventually finding a branch of the Valentine clan from Louisiana willing to take him in.


Reason for Fighting: Did not have anywhere else to go, having lived a ruin lifestyle due to his expanded lifespan and his shame for being a Lycan.

But it took me about five minutes to google the Ritz, and about 3 minutes to discover the restaurant name, and considering I spend on average about an hour or two on a post, I don't really consider that a big deal.

But yes, you got me; whenever possible, I try to "research" at least a bit about the place if it's a real one.

I blame years of roleplaying with people who do things like race cars through the streets of New York City when...

... well, if you've ever *been* to the City, you'd know, that's pretty much impossible.

It's just a personal thing; I don't expect anyone else to do it--I just can't live with myself if I don't do it. Helps add something to the roleplaying, IMHO.

One day you could actually be there and say something like "Hey! I roleplayed one of my characters at that place once on RPA!"

And then anyone else with you would probably give you a funny look...
