Games like Age of Empires?

Its one of the best strategy games out there. Ive played the hell out of these games as a young punk, so Im wondering, how else am I to crush the enemies with stockpiles of resources and massive armies?

I remember this one game where they had a fictional king who makes these zombies and castle walls, and other units unique to their army type.

Crap, I cant remember the name of it. :'(

Age of kings is okay...
Age of mythology was pretty dang good though.
still miss Age of empires one T_T

Also there was this caged demon, really cool stuff from the late 90s early 2k.
