Pokémon – The Journey Begins!
"Huwaaah, it's so hot in Hoenn!"

Stretching lazily, Erin allowed for a small frown to pull her lips down. The Kalos-native had grown so accustomed to Laverre's usually mild temperature that a drastic increase was enough to deplete her of energy, especially since she was currently in Lavaridge, home of Hoenn's famous hot springs. Known for replenishing those who bathe in it, Erin avoided the attraction altogether in fear of fainting because of the high temperatures.

Regardless, she knew that lazing around in Hoenn would be no use; it'd taken lots of finances – and not to mention willpower – to squeeze into a crowded ship headed for Hoenn, and to laze around would be a waste.

And yet, the idea of lounging around in her hotel room proved to be so enticing–

"Ow!" Seeming to have noticed her trainer's current dilemma, Erin's Cleffa had headbutted the trainer and effectively jarred her out of her thoughts. "Cleffa, stop being such a troublemaker," Erin mumbled, picking up the soft pink blob of a Pokemon and allowing it to rest on her shoulder. "I get it. I'll stop standing around – we need to head out to Mount Chimney, anyway."

The idea of going to a volcano – which no doubt had skyrocketing temperatures – was enough to send shudders down Erin's spine, but pushing away the negative thoughts, the girl tried to calm down by taking a deep breath. She was here to see the Legendary Duo of Ho-Oh and Lugia, and because Ho-Oh was most recently spotted in the general area of Mount Chimney, she'd have to brave through hot temperatures to see the fiery bird.

And so, that was how Erin found herself trudging through the rocky routes leading to her destination, her Cleffa clinging onto her shoulder as Erin went. Despite it being early morning, trainers were already going the same way she was, most likely intent on reaching Mount Chimney to see if Ho-Oh was around – and perhaps that was what drove Erin to keep on going, because it almost felt like a competition as to who could catch sight of the Legendary bird first.

"...Haah, but why does Ho-Oh have to be a fire-type and linger around all the hot areas...? Hoenn's hot enough as is..!"

Isaac had been in Hoenn for two days now, and in those days the heat hadn't particularly bothered him. But the heat on Route 112 was something else. It wasn't too terrible and Isaac thankfully had the hat that Leah had made him to protect him from most of the sun's onslaught, but it was still hot, as being near a volcano will do. Isaac imagined it would only get worse from here, but he was ready to brave the heat for what might be at the top of the mountain.

Isaac could barely contain his excitement as he climbed the stairs leading to the cable car that would take him to the top of the mountain, something that Isaac would normally avoid entirely in favor of climbing the mountain himself if not for the possibility of Ho-oh awaiting him at the top. As he reached the top, Isaac found several other people lingering around the cable car building. As expected, Isaac wouldn't be the only one going up there.

A bark at his side tore Isaac's attention away from the gathering of people as he looked down at his Herdier, Blue. Following her line of sight, Isaac found a few trees that offered shade not far from the cable care building.

"Yeah, a quick break might be a good idea," Isaac responded, and he made his way over to one of them. They had been walking all morning, having left the comfort of the indoor city- Isaac still marveled at that- and air conditioned Mauville City after spending an entire day there. The walk through Route 111 would be nothing compared to what awaited them, though, but going to the hot springs in Lavaridge after climbing down Jagged Pass from Mt. Chimney would make it all worth it, even if there was no sign of Ho-oh.

Removing his pack and hat, Isaac sat down underneath one of the trees, Blue letting out a long sigh as she flopped down next to him. Smiling, Isaac dug through his pack and pulled out one of the half dozen bottles of water he had bought back in Mauville and opened it, lifting it and pouring a small amount of it on his face, thoroughly enjoying the coolness of the water. He then changed the direction of the bottle to Blue, earning a surprised yelp from the Herdier, but despite her initial reaction she clearly enjoyed it as much as Isaac had. However, that wasn't what she wanted, and Blue made this known by immediately shaking the water off, slinging water in all directions with a huff.

"Hey!" Isaac exclaimed through laughter. Her point made, Blue stopped shaking as she looked at Isaac expectantly.

"Alright, alright," Isaac chuckled, digging through the bag and pulling out a small bowl. Isaac then filled it with water and placed it in front of Blue, who began lapping it up almost instantly.

"You can always go into your Poke Ball, you know," Isaac said, earning an irritated growl from the Pokemon in response. Grinning, Isaac took another sip of water and leaned against the tree as he waited for Blue to finish, thinking about what they might find at the top of Mt. Chimney.

Solana hummed as she trekked through the upper regions of Jagged Pass, her Ninetales hopping along beside her and nudging her lightly when she stopped. Sighing, she patted the pokemon's head, turning to see all the foreign trainers trying to get up the slopes. She chuckled a bit, shaking her head before deciding to take a bit of a break, the heat of Mt. Chimney already beginning to reach her.

After a brief break, Solana began to limb once more, sighing in relief once the peak of the fiery volcano came into view. She brought out her Absol, so that she could have a bit of warning in case the volcano decided to erupt. Initially, she had planned to reach the mountain sooner than the others, but it seemed there were already a few trainers there, and nobody seemed to have spotted the bird. Shrugging, she plopped down on a rock, deciding to tell Professor Birch that she was unable to glimpse the legendary, allowing out Zubat and Sandslash for a bit of relaxation. She would have let out Milotic, Seviper and Gyarados as well, if she wasn't so afraid of their confrontational natures.

"Don't worry!" came the response on her PokeNav, "We can try again sometime."

She nodded, looking up and surveying the stream of incoming trainers, patting her Timid Zubat when he tried to hide in her hair.

It didn't take too long, Erin supposed, to – at the very least – reach the cable car building perched upon Mt. Chimney. It was obvious from the few trainers who were already making there way down that Ho-Oh was likely not on the volcano, but who knew? The Legendary bird could return at anytime, and Erin wasn't going to leave it up to chance. Besides, she'd already braved hot temperatures to reach the cable cars; why not go to Mt. Chimney's Peak to look around? She'd heard that some old lady there often sold Lava Cookies, and–

"Cleffa!"

Upon the sound of her Pokemon's cry, Erin's thoughts were quickly derailed and she shot her Pokemon a curious look. The Fairy-type Pokemon was usually quiet most of the time, so hearing her cry out was a change. "Cleffa?" Erin mused, "What's wro– urk!"

Erin was interrupted as there was a sudden, loud crack, almost as if if the sky had ripped open – but it's not the cracking sound that worried Erin the most, despite the fact that she instinctively covered herself in defense; it's the deafening roar that seemed to upset the Earth, subsequently causing tremors to rattle the stretch of land and instill a deathly sense of panic in the young trainer.

In any other area, Erin would be fine. Earthquakes were commonly experienced amongst many trainers, especially during Pokemon battles whenever someone used it – however, it's the fact that she was currently on a volcano that made Erin's stomach lurch. Earthquakes near a volcano usually meant one thing, and that was eruption. Mt. Chimney was erupting.

"Togekiss!" Erin cried sharply, hand digging into her bag to fish out the correct Poke Ball before throwing it into the air, "Come out!" The flash of red light that followed left the dual Flying and Fairy type in its wake, and Erin wasted no time in scrambling onto her Pokemon. If Mt. Chimney was erupting, there was no doubt going to be ash and lava everywhere, and Erin wasn't going to risk a tumble down the precarious terrain when she could instead fly down.

Yet, there was a moment's hesitation as Erin watched a few trainers themselves struggle to get down the mountain, and knowing she had another Flying-type, the girl sighed. What kind of person would she be if she just left them? "Altaria, you're coming out too!" Sending out the fluffy Pokemon, Erin gestured towards the trainers below. "Pick up as many people as you can see and meet us back in Lavaridge, yeah!? Stay safe!"

Too fearful to stay any longer in case she got caught up in the eruption, Erin leaned forward, an action which translated into 'go' for her Togekiss as the Pokemon followed suit and sped towards the town they'd been in prior to the trek to Mt. Chimney. All that walking, and she didn't even reach the peak!? Slight frustration boiled her nerves, but soon enough it dissipated into clear confusion upon seeing a brown blur (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Entei_(Pok%C3%A9mon)) dash down the erupting volcano.

There wasn't much time to ponder on what it even was, however, because Erin just wanted to avoid Mt. Chimney's eruption path, go back to Lavaridge and visit Mt. Chimney some other time. Yet, somehow even those options were unavailable to her, because Erin could smell the burning before her Togekiss stopped mid-flight on the edge of the town. The flames of the fire weren't too high yet, but they were definitely going to be if someone didn't stop them, yet in that moment, Erin just wanted to take a second to absorb the scene.

Lavaridge was currently on fire.

Blue abruptly stopped drinking her water and began looking around. Isaac instantly took notice of this and grew tense, as she usually only behaved like when she sensed something particularly nasty. The only warning Isaac had was one sharp bark from Blue before another loud noise overtook everything else, followed by the ground shaking violently. Luckily, Isaac was seated at the moment, but he hurriedly grabbed his things and began crawling away from the trees in case one of them fell, stuffing everything into his pack as he went. Isaac began looking around for the source, but he didn't need to look far, even with Blue desperately barking and trying to bring his attention to Mt. Chimney...which had just erupted.

"Oh, man," Isaac murmured as he took the sight in, but he didn't let it occupy his attention for long, hurriedly taking two Poke Balls from his belt and tossing them into the air.

"Kite! Sig!" he called as the two balls burst open, catching them as his Crobat and Riolu materialized before him.

"Sig, I need you to see if you can sense anyone around Mt Chimney," Isaac said to his Riolu. Isaac had only just caught Sig recently and was ordinarily a bit on the rebellious side, but his ability to sense aura allowed him to get an instant grasp on the situation, and now wasn't the time to argue. Instead, Sig only nodded and closed his eyes, reaching out towards the direction of Mt. Chimney in search of any sign of human life. Though its abilities weren't very strong at the moment, Sig found what he was looking for- a number of humans and Pokemon alike scattered around at various points of the mountain, many of which were consumed by fear, which was probably what led to Sig's extremely desperate bark of confirmation as his eyes snapped open.

"Thanks, that's all I needed to know," Isaac said, returning Kite's Poke Ball to his belt and retrieving another one. "Alright, Blue, Sig, back in your Poke Balls," he commanded. Sig looked slightly irritated about being recalled so soon, but again took the situation into account and obeyed. Blue hesitated a bit longer, knowing full well what Isaac was about to do and more than a little concerned for his safety. In the end, though, she gave up and obeyed, but not before turning to Kite to give a knowing nod to before vanishing. Isaac's Crobat had been slightly shaken by the sudden change in atmosphere but had more or less recovered by that point and knew what Blue was thinking, having been thinking the same thing himself.

"Alright, Kite, let head out there and see if we can help anyone out," came Isaac's inevitable order. Knowing his Trainer would not be swayed and also knowing that there probably were a few people out there in need of help, Kite obeyed and quickly grabbed hold of Isaac's shoulders, shooting off to for Jagged Pass and Mt. Chimney once he had a firm grip.

As Isaac had expected, what he found was pure chaos. Trainers issuing orders to their Pokemon, a few hopping onto Flying Pokemon of their own and either helping others or fleeing as wild Pokemon ran around in a panic. Isaac didn't give any of these a second thought, though, and instead sought out people who looked like they might need help getting to safety. Isaac eventually spotted a woman who appeared to be a scientist of some sort who only had a Zubat. Still, Isaac didn't want to take any chances and ordered Kite to go low enough for him to be able to reasonable speak to the woman.

"Do you need any help?" Isaac asked.

Llewellyn had just been lazing about on Mount Chimney as things started to turn bad. He hadn't been in Hoenn long, he'd lurked about a few contests seeing his competition, but that was about it. He had decided to come here to see if he could get a glace at the pokemon Ho-oh but he didn't like his chances. Even if he did he encounter it and had any intentions of catching it, he didn't like his chances of catching it. He had three pokemon and none were strong against fire types. It'd be a waste if he even tried. Llewellyn actually only came up here to try and catch a decent fire type pokemon. At the moment he was having no luck. Maybe it would've been better if he had just pretended he hadn't gotten a pokemon before and took one from the professor. The only pokemon Llewellyn had bumped into are slugma, Llewellyn wasn't a huge fan of slugma.

Llewellyn grunted and turned over from where he was laying and pulled Eros closer to his chest. "I don't know what you want to evolve into yet buddy, but if you wanna be a flareon that'd help me out a lot." He mumbled. Llewelllyn obviously didn't mean the statement, he was going to allow his Eevee to choose what it wanted to be around the time he caught his fourth pokemon. He thought'd it would be nice for his Eevee to choose.

Llewellyn had decided today would be a nice easy day, no need to panic or rush about the place. There was no one imaginable this day could get any worse. Just a nice, normal, lazy day on a volcano. It was at that point Mount Chimney decided to erupt. Llewellyn's eyes shot open immediately. He was lucky he hadn't gone to sleep otherwise he may have slept through this. Which - as bad as it may sound - he has done before. If he slept through a freak storm he doubted a volcanic eruption would've woke him up unless he was on fire. Llewellyn looked at Caligo sadly. The Murkrow looked so eager to help carry his trainer down the mountain to safety, but he knew he wasn't strong enough for it. "It's okay, Caligo. I just need to make it to the cable cars. I'll be fine." Llewellyn said to his worried Murkrow.

He pulled out the pokeballs for all three of his pokemon. They'd only get in the way while he was trying to run. "Return, all of you. Quick." Neither of the three objected. Which was odd for Caligo and Eros. Usually they would resist and want to stay outside. Llewellyn didn't question his good luck and began to run towards the cable cars. They weren't too far away, but thanks to the huge number of people searching for Ho-oh there was a big line. At this point it'd be safer for him to run down the side of the mountain then wait there for the line to go down. Llewellyn grimaced but kept running until he was just outside the line. He gulped as he had no idea what to do. He was no help to anyone right now. All he wanted to do was get out of here and try not to get in the way.

Eventually Isaac moved on, scanning around for others who needed help. Wild Pokemon continued to scurry in panic, and Isaac felt a pang of guilt as he watched them as he simply couldn't help any of them. The number of people wandering around had quickly dwindled by this point, most having flown out or otherwise escaped to safety. Not finding anyone else in Jagged Pass, Isaac finally moved on to Mt. Chimney itself.

As Isaac had suspected, the heat was far worse on the mountain itself, and the eruption was definitely not doing it any favors. Kite was fast, so scaling the mountain didn't take long at all, but regardless Isaac was practically pouring sweat long before reaching the peak. Isaac did his best to ignore the heat, though, and continued on until Kite reached the top. It was even more of a disaster than it was at the bottom; numerous people panicking and desperately trying to get the next cable car down the mountain, yelling and even fighting amongst themselves as panic overrode their most basic senses. Thankfully a small portion of the people were allowed inside the building to load onto the cable car, and while this would put a brief hold on the chaos Isaac knew it wouldn't last.

"You alright, Kite?" Isaac asked his Crobat who was hovering beside him. Kite made a brief high pitched noise of confirmation, though Isaac knew the heat had to be getting to him by now since his evolutionary line tended to prefer damp, cold places and usually tried to avoid heat.

"Alright, hang in there for a little bit longer," he said as he approached the line, although he stopped once he noticed someone standing outside the line, a guy that looked to be around Isaac's age, maybe a bit older judging by his height. Noticing that he seemed to be particularly upset, Isaac decided to approach him first.

"If you want, my Crobat can take you down the mountain," Isaac said.

Llewellyn had been leaning against the wall. He wanted to wait for everyone else to go down the mountain before he did. There was a rather large line, and those at the front were starting to get impatient. A few people were starting to fight to be the next person to get a car down. It'd take a while to get everyone down from the mountain but Llewellyn wasn't in a rush. Llewellyn sighed and looked towards the peak of the mountain, he wondered if there was something causing this eruption and if he were to be the last to be up here he'd find out what it is.

But fear was playing on Llewellyn's mind and the dusk stone in his bag now seemed to weigh a hell of a lot more. He didn't want to evolve Caligo but if he needed to he would try to. Caligo in his current state wouldn't be able to carry anything bigger than him down the mountain. But a Honchkrow could easily carry a person. While he was in deep thought a boy about Llewellyn's age walked over with a Crobat by his side.

"If you want, my Crobat can take you down the mountain." He told Llewellyn.

Llewellyn shook his head. Despite the fact he wanted to get down the mountain as fast as possible he didn't want to leave anyone up here. It was bad enough to Llewellyn that the wild pokemon were on their own. As long as he could help it he would be the last person to leave the mountain. "Thank you for the offer, but I'd prefer to not go yet while there are other's ahead of me. It'd be much better if you took some of the other people here down first. I'm fine waiting, at least for now." Llewellyn replied and smiled at the boy.

Llewellyn knew he was stupid for turning down the offer, but his curiosity and kindness were getting the better of him. Llewellyn looked at the line as they opened the door and some more people rushed in to get on a car. This chaos was going to continue until every individual was off of Mount Chimney and Llewellyn was disgusted about how everyone's survival instinct was turning them into rapid animals only trying to save themselves.

"Vaporeon, come out!"

Her words were rather rushed and harsh as Erin more or less chucked her Poké Ball out into the open, her Vaporeon materializing from the red light as Erin scrambled to get off her Togekiss. "And you, Togekiss," Erin said as she held out the Pokémon's Poké Ball, "You have to return!"

Waiting until her Togekiss vanished into her capsule, Erin then wheeled back to her Water-type. It'd taken a while for her to finally register that yes, Lavaridge was on fire, and yes, Mt. Chimney was erupting, but never did she make any sort of back-up plan for this. "Use Water Pulse, Vaporeon, and if that's not enough, Hydro Pump," Erin commanded, pointing a finger towards the flames. "Cleffa, use Copycat and try to emulate Vaporeon!"

Springing off her position on her trainer's shoulder, the Cleffa bounced up to Vaporeon and instead perched herself on the Water-type's back. Bursts of water soon erupted from the Vaporeon's mouth, aimed at the particularly larger flames as the Cleffa performed a weaker copy the move to take out the smaller flames, leaving Erin to her own thoughts as she eyed the town and the trainers who were helping with the sudden fire as well.

What, really, would've caused the fire? Mt. Chimney had erupted, sure, but there was no lava in sight, therefore cancelling out the idea of the lava reaching Lavaridge. A common mishap could've done the trick, but it was doubtful that something like a kitchen fire could spread into a town-wide fire -- so what had done it? A wild Pokemon? A battle gone wrong? A--

"Did you see it?"

"See what?"

"The yellow flash (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Raikou_(Pok%C3%A9mon))! It ran through Lavaridge before the thunderbolt hit!"

Almost instantly Erin's train of thought was derailed upon overhearing snippets of a conversation, and deeming her Pokemon safe to leave alone as they worked to stop the fire, Erin approached the two Lavaridge citizens who'd been talking. "Sorry to intrude," Erin started off slowly, "But... what are you talking about?"

"Huh? Oh, we were just talking about the yellow flash," one of the citizens responded. "I wasn't here to witness it, but I heard they saw something yellow before a thunderbolt struck and set the town on fire."

"Ah. Thank you." Offering a smile to the two people, Erin quickly retreated to where her Pokemon were, this time a look of concentration set upon her face. A yellow flash? What in the world was that? A really fast Pikachu? At least now she knew the cause of the fire -- it was apparently a thunderbolt, and likely a powerful one at that, because no average thunderbolt could send a whole town into flames -- but a thunderbolt? There were no signs of thunderstorms, so that was definitely a surprise.

"Vaporeon, Cleffa, you can take it easy now," Erin finally muttered as the flames dimmed down, leaving behind the charred surfaces of the once clean buildings. "The fires aren't as big, so don't overexert yourself, alright?"

Both Pokemon conveyed their understanding by significantly reducing the power behind their attacks, and exhaling a sigh, Erin stood by them as if to supervise the Pokemon -- though, in reality, she was too lost in thought to be actively doing something. A yellow flash? She'd seen a brown blur earlier, but decided to dismiss it as a chunk of Mt. Chimney that must've gotten dislodged during the eruption... yet, what could that possibly mean? Was this some type of ritual that was supposed to happen when Legendary Pokemon were nearby?

Whatever the case, there was an even more pressing matter, Erin realized. "My hotel! Ah, it must be ruined," Erin sighed. "I'll have to stay somewhere else..."

Nagi

"Haaah, this worked out well! A job well done, a job well done~ Nice, Celebi~!"

Standing at the very top of Mt. Chimney, a blond individual cheered as a fairy-like Pokemon (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Celebi_(Pok%C3%A9mon)) seemed to dance around him. "We should do this again, but maybe in another time! Your time-travelling skills are really handy, y'know," Nagi chuckled, though the laughter soon stopped as it instead faded into surprise. "Oh? ...but there are still some people standing around... why are they not running?"

Fumbling around with the belt of Poké Balls around his waist, the male managed to pluck one off, the design of the Dusk Ball glinting in the light of the day before he tossed it into the air. Following the toss was a burst of shadows as his Drifblim was released, and grinning up at the Pokemon, the trainer jumped up to grab onto one of its four arms.

"Off to the brave individuals who courageously stayed despite our chaos~!" Nagi sang, the Drifblim and Celebi soon following suit as it descended from their current position. Not too far from where they were stood two trainers, one seeming to wait around while another was kept in air by a Crobat -- and unable to contain himself, the blond launched himself from his Drifblim and onto the stranger's Crobat as well.

"Oooh, a Crobat! I've always wanted one!" Nagi cried out, gripping the Pokemon tightly in case it or the trainer panicked at the presence of a stranger. "How cool, how cool~ but even cooler is how you guys stayed! I was sure Entei could've scared you guys off with his eruption! I thought for sure everyone would be fighting over the cable cars~ but whatever!" Nagi chirped, "I like you two! And because of that... I'll give you a hint! For not being irrational enough as to fight for a trip down the volcano, you guys deserve one!"

Letting go of the Crobat, Nagi allowed his Drifblim to pick him up before waving. "Slateport's home to lots and lots of local markets 'n ships 'n stuff, right? Well -- Slateport's home to lots of answers, as well! That's where you'll find your answer! 'Til then~!"

And with one last grin, Nagi allowed the Celebi to grab a hold of his arm, the trainer and both Pokemon subsequently vanishing from sight.

Isaac nodded at the response, then turned to scan the group gathered around the building again as he tried to figure out the most organized and non-chaotic method to go about helping, but thankfully the rest were allowed inside at that moment.

"Well, since that's taken care of, I guess we may as well head back down ourselves. C'mon, Kite," Isaac said, his Crobat obediently grabbing hold of his shoulders and beginning to take flight, but they didn't get very far at all when suddenly something fell from the sky and grabbed hold of Kite.

"What the-?"

"Oooh, a Crobat! I've always wanted one!" came the cry from whoever had latched onto Kite. Kite, meanwhile, instantly began struggling, crying out in panic at first and then annoyance as he tried to shake off his assailant, though he couldn't move around too much for fear of dropping Isaac. Instead, Kite slowly lowered them all to a lower altitude as he tried to get free, his wings glowing in preparation for a Wing Attack if necessary.

"What do you think you're doing? Get off!" Isaac shouted, but the other boy didn't seem to be paying attention as he continued to fawn over Kite. It was his next comment that got Isaac's attention, though.

"What? Entei?" Isaac asked, his previous irritation being overtaken by confusion and curiosity. Kite still had his attack at the ready, still clearly not pleased by the sudden grabbing but holding off on attacking when Isaac took an interest in his words. Thankfully the boy let go, and Kite quickly took that opportunity to put Isaac back onto solid ground, his attack still at the ready as he waited for Isaac's order to attack.

"Slateport's home to lots and lots of local markets 'n ships 'n stuff, right? Well -- Slateport's home to lots of answers, as well! That's where you'll find your answer! 'Til then~!" the boy spoke as he drifted away on his Drifblim, but then another Pokemon that Isaac had never seen before grabbed onto his arm and the boy and both of his Pokemon suddenly...vanished. Seeing this, Kite relaxed and let his attack fade, but Isaac remained as he was, still staring up at where the boy had been, thoroughly confused before turning to the boy he had spoken too before.

"I'm, uh, not entirely sure what just happened, but we should probably get out of here," Isaac said, turning to look at the cable car building and finding the car gone. He then took Sig's Poke Ball from his belt and opened it, the Riolu once again appearing before him.

"Can you still sense any people nearby?" Isaac asked. Sig gave a small huff, still slightly annoyed by what had happened before, but he went to work anyway and eventually shook his head.

"Well, that settles that, then," Isaac said, turning to address the boy again, "It'll be awhile before the cable car gets back, but my Crobat should be able to get us both down the mountain. I'm probably going to go to...Lavaridge..." Isaac suddenly broke off, looking in the direction of the town he had mentioned. He had been so caught up in the current situation that he had never noticed the smoke rising up from the town, though judging by the smoke whatever had happened there likely hadn't been particularly bad.

"I don't suppose you can sense anything going on down there, can you, Sig?" Isaac asked his Riolu. Again Sig closed his eyes and reached out in the direction of Lavaridge, but unfortunately it was too far away for him to really sense anything. Riolu frowned and then shook his head again in confirmation.

"Well... I guess we'll need to see what the damage is, then," Isaac said, taking Sig's Poke Ball and recalling him. He then turned to the boy one more time to address him again.

"I'm going to go to Lavaridge and see what's going on. If you come along, we'll stop just outside town so you can go where you want from there."

Llewellyn's first reaction to seeing the boy who grabbed the Crobat was shock. Llewellyn stood there wide eyed, not really sure how to react. It wasn't exactly like he could do anything, he doubted punching the guy was a good idea. Instead Llewellyn bit his lip an watched the poor pokemon struggle in the guy's grip. After having watched people pick up pokemon who don't want to be held Llewellyn had to resist a lot of urges to slap the boy holding the other boy's Crobat.

Llewellyn watched quietly as both boy's had a conversation between them. It was pretty short, but one thing that the other boy said caught Llewellyn's attention. "Slateport's home to lots and lots of local markets 'n ships 'n stuff, right? Well -- Slateport's home to lots of answers, as well! That's where you'll find your answer! 'Til then~!" Then the boy and his Drifblim vanished as weirdly as they appeared.

"Entei, why would that pokemon be here? I swear that it's native to somewhere else." Llewellyn mumbled to himself. He was now making many mental notes in his head. The most important one he had was to go to Slateport. There was a Pokemon contest that was meant to be held there soon anyway. If it was on while he was there Llewellyn didn't see any harm in trying his hand at it. Whether or not he'd win was an entirely another story.

Llewellyn had been so lost in though he nearly didn't notice the boy talking to him. "It'll be awhile before the cable car gets back, but my Crobat should be able to get us both down the mountain. I'm probably going to go to...Lavaridge..." He then broke off. Llewellyn saw he was looking in the direction of the town. Llewellyn turned his head to follow the boy's line of sight. Llewellyn gulped a bit when he saw the smoke. The town had caught fire and he hadn't even noticed yet. But I guess trying to survive a volcanic eruption will make you a bit more concerned about yourself than others.

Llewellyn was so lost looking at the town that he nearly missed the boy talk to him again. If Llewellyn had been any more lost in thought he may have came off as ignorant. He turned his head just in time to catch the last of what he said. "- If you come along, we'll stop just outside town so you can go where you want from there."

"I want to check out the damage to Lavaridge then I'm heading to Slateport. If you're heading that way anyway would you mind me tagging along with you?" Llewellyn asked, trying his best not to sound like some desperate and bratty teenager who can't do anything on there own. Besides, he could only imagine the numbers of girl's who have probably decided to follow the first guy they saw in their home town. Then have the boy blindly lead them around the country only there to keep him company and give him moral support. He'd hate to sound like one of those.

Solana withdrew her pokemon quickly, looking around rapidly and quickly focusing on the two flaming points. Gripping her pokeball, she brought out Milotic and looked around, cursing slightly when she remembered Gyarados' only water-type move was Scald. "Go use Hydro Pump on anything burning," she shouted, the beautiful pokemon nodding and propelling itself down the mountain rapidly.

After Milotic took off, she looked around, gasping when Absol burst from her pokeball and shoved her trainer into the trees, hackles raised as a boy grabbed onto another trainer's crobat. Solana herself was getting riled at the boy's actions, but Absol shushed her and kept low, though a soft growl could be heard constantly from the white-furred pokemon.

Slowly, the two crept forward, Solana just barely catching the tail end of the conversation. Slateport? Well, admittedly, she didn't have very good memories there, having rescued her magikarp from the hands of an angry, abusive trainer at the beach, but she was definitely not opposed to going there if it would provide answers to the events on Mt. Chimney. Once the boy left, she and Absol stepped out of the trees, making their way to Lavaridge so she could pick up Milotic before heading to Slateport.

"Sure, that's fine with me," Isaac said after taking a moment the think about the request. "I hope you don't mind if we save introductions for later, though. The sooner we get off this mountain, the better."

Isaac then motioned for Kite to take hold of both him and their new traveling companion, which the Crobat did obediently.

"Oh, just so you know- Kite can be a bit fast, so you may want to brace yourself," Isaac warned as the Crobat lifted them into the air, then shot off and began careening downwards towards Jagged Pass and the entrance to Lavaridge. Kite's normal speed was greatly hindered by having to carry two humans, but the descent was still a rather speedy but controlled one, and the passing of air currents did a lot to help cool not only Isaac, but Kite as well. Free from the added burden of heat, Kite gradually increased his speed and eventually reached the point where the ground below them which was growing ever closer as they descended was almost a blur. Isaac held back the excited whoop that was building up inside him, but he couldn't hide his grin. He'd flown with Kite many times, but it certainly wasn't every day that they got to do this off a mountain.

However, the ride was over fairly quickly, and before long Kite had safely placed both humans on the ground just in front of Lavaridge, continuing onwards for a moment and doing a quick midair spin before finally landing beside Isaac.

"Thanks, Kite. Get some rest," Isaac said, taking Kite's Poke Ball and recalling the Crobat.

"Alright, let's go see what's going on," Isaac said before taking off into town.

From the sounds of it, Isaac had assumed that they had most of the fires under control, and he had been correct. Some smaller fires still burned at various buildings in town, but most had Pokemon tending to them, a combination of a Vaporeon and what Isaac recognized as a Cleffa particularly capturing his attention due the latter's using of a Water type move. He didn't let that occupy his attention for long, though, as he took in the rest of the damage and burned buildings around him.

"Geez, what a mess..." Isaac said, "Did the eruption do all of this?"

Erin allowed herself just a few more moments of mourning -- "Next time I stay near the rumored location of a Legendary, I'll make sure it's not a Fire-type" -- before she placed a gentle hand atop her Cleffa's head, causing the pink Pokemon to stop in her actions and glance towards her trainer. "The fires are almost out, and others can take care of it," Erin said, watching as a beautiful Milotic glided down from the mountain. "You've done more than enough, you two. Thanks," Erin praised, petting both her Cleffa and Vaporeon briefly. "Vaporeon, you want to return to your Poke Ball?"

There was an affirmative cry from her Vaporeon as Erin chuckled, taking out the empty Poke Ball so her Vaporeon could return. "Take a well-deserved rest -- and Cleffa, c'mere." Reaching out and grabbing the little thing, Erin positioned her onto her shoulder with a sigh. "Say, where do we go now? I hear Pacifidlog spotted Lugia, but that was a while ago... Sootopolis, maybe? Wallace is there, and he's a pretty famous Contest Star on top of being a Gym Leader -- we could always meet him... ah, but both places are far away!"

As if sensing her trainer's distress, the Cleffa attempted to copy Erin's previous actions of petting, though Cleffa's version of 'petting' seemed to be 'repeatedly jabbing Erin's cheek' as the trainer winced. "Cleffa, that hurts!" Regardless, the Cleffa's purpose was still conveyed, causing Erin to smile. "Thank you, though," she laughed, "It's the thought that cou-oow! Okay, you can stop now--!"

Hastily gripping her Pokemon and holding her at arm's length, Erin pouted as her Cleffa could only make a sound that seemed to resemble laughing. "You're finding amusement in this? Cruel," she chuckled, placing the Cleffa back onto her shoulder once she was sure the Pokemon would stop. "But anyway..."

Reaching into her bag for her PokéNav, Erin tapped away until the map of Hoenn was displayed for her on the screen. "We're currently in Lavaridge, and Mauville's nearby... ah! But Slateport's pretty close too. Closer than Pacifidlog and Sootopolis, at least," Erin mumbled, "And they have the Contest Hall -- we could join a contest if they're running one. How's that sound, Cleffa?"

Turning to look at the Pokemon, Erin was greeted with the Cleffa crying out cheerily. "Alright! Slateport it is! First we gotta find Altaria, though -- I almost forgot I let her out on Mt. Chimney to help people." Looking around for the flying Pokemon, Erin's lips twisted into a pout when her efforts were in vain. With all the talk of some yellow flash and the whole eruption, Erin was slightly fearful about the welfare of her Pokemon, Altaria especially as she was still outside.

"Ah, hey!" Spotting a pair of trainers who'd seemed to have just landed -- Erin had caught sight of one of the trainer's Crobat from earlier -- the trainer waved at them before approaching. "Did you guys just come from Mt. Chimney? Did you see anything? Specifically an Altaria?"

Llewellyn was slightly shocked at how fast the boy's Crobat was going. The boy had decided to save introductions for later, which made Llewellyn a bit un-easy. But they were on an erupting volcano. Llewellyn doubted the boy's main priority was "Hey, by the way my name is-."

The ride to the ground was fairly quick, but the sight while they descended from the mountain was breath taking. Even if Mount Chimney had been erupting, the sight was beautiful. Llewellyn was watching the sight mesmerized. He now so desperately wished he had a fire type pokemon of his own so he could re-create the beauty he was witnessing. He pushed aside the thought of the pokemon that were in danger. They probably would've gotten away. It was their natural instinct to run from the danger.

When he was safely on the ground again Llewellyn smiled at the boy. "Thanks." Llewellyn said with a smile.

Llewellyn turned his head slightly and he finally saw the real damage that had been dealt to the town.

"Geez, what a mess..." The boy said, "Did the eruption do all of this?"

"I guess it did, but the damage that was done by eruption wasn't as bad as it could've been. I mean, there is still a Lavaridge." Lewellyn said, trying to look on the bright side. No matter how little the bright side may be.

"Ah, hey!" A female voice sent shock through Llewellyn's body. He quickly turned his head and saw a girl with a Cleffa near her. "Did you guys just come from Mt. Chimney? Did you see anything? Specifically an Altaria?"

Lewellyn quickly replayed the recent events in his head, searching for anything that could be linked to the girl's Altaria and a smile crept onto Llewellyn's face. "While we were flying down I think I saw something that looked like an Altaria. It was flying quite close to the moutain, but it was an Altaria. I'm thinking it may be yours." Llewellyn said, trying to be as positive as possible.

Isaac only nodded in response, his brow furrowed as he continued analyzing the situation. It was good that Lavaridge had sustained little damage, and yet...something still seemed off. A volcanic eruption seemed like it would do a lot more damage than just start a few fires. The earthquake it had caused might have had something to do with it, and yet the fires appeared to have been too widespread for that possibility, too.

Suddenly remembering that he still hadn't introduced himself, Isaac pushed those thoughts aside for the moment and turned to do that when a girl with a Cleffa- the same one Isaac had spotted earlier, by the looks of it- approached and spoke to them and asked about an Altaria.

"I...think I spotted one on my way up the mountain?" Isaac said, thinking back to the mass stampede of fleeing Pokemon from earlier.

"While we were flying down I think I saw something that looked like an Altaria. It was flying quite close to the mountain, but it was an Altaria. I'm thinking it may be yours," came the other boy's response.

"Yeah, that must have been it," Isaac said with an affirmative nod, "I doubt it was a wild one, at least. The base of a volcano doesn't seem like the type of place a Swablu or Altaria would normally hang around. Most of the people should be safely off the mountain by now, so if you sent it to help out then it should be back soon."

Isaac looked up at the sky and began looking around for it. As he did so, he naturally saw a glimpse of a burned building in the corner of his eye, and after scanning the sky for a moment a sudden question popped into his head.

"Oh! Say, you wouldn't happen to know what caused these fires, would you?" Isaac asked the girl.

Their words served to lessen Erin's anxiety over her Pokemon as she blew out a relieved sigh, happy to know that her Altaria had at least been spotted. "Alright, thanks. I wasn't thinking about the repercussions when I let out my Altaria by herself on an erupting mountain," Erin said, a sheepish chuckle escaping her lips. Regardless, she bowed her head slightly as if to say goodbye, prepared to send out her Togekiss to search for her Altaria before going to Slateport.

However, her actions were put to a stop upon one of the boys throwing a question her way. "What started the fire?" she repeated, as if repetition could somehow make her know the answer herself. "See, well -- that's a pretty hard question to answer. I personally have no clue," Erin admitted, exhaling a sigh that sounded more defeated than anything else. "I hear from witnesses that something yellow ran through Lavaridge before a thunderbolt struck, so... maybe a really fast Pikachu?" Just saying it made Erin cringe -- how in the world could a Pikachu cause this much damage? The state Lavaridge was in, charred buildings and all, would've needed quite an army of Pikachu to make it reasonable.

"Whatever the case-" and she reached into her bag to grab her Togekiss' Poke Ball, "-I won't be hanging around here for too long in case this happens again. Mauville and Slateport are pretty close by if you guys need somewhere to go," Erin pointed out, "But I'd recommend Slateport wholeheartedly! That's where I'm heading. It's a bit farther than Mauville, but they've got a Contest Hall."

A yellow flash? That didn't sound very volcano like. The girl's words confirmed Isaac suspicions that whatever had done this to Lavaridge likely didn't have anything to do with the volcano, and also got an amused chuckle and grin from Isaac at the 'really fast Pikachu' bit. This also really made Isaac wonder what he was getting himself into. First the volcano eruption that had apparently been caused by an Entei, then that boy and his disappearing act, and now this yellow flash... this was starting to look less like a fun adventure through a new region. Whatever was going on, it was part of something big.

And Isaac intended on being right there in the middle of it all.

Nearly bursting with excitement, Isaac was ready to take off towards Slateport right then and there...but then he remembered that Kite was probably way too tired to fly anywhere, not even Mauville. He also remembered that he had company, which temporarily brought Isaac back down to Earth as the girl mentioned that she was going to Slateport as well.

"Yeah, we were planning on going to Slateport ourselves," Isaac said, though he avoided telling her why. He doubted anyone would believe something like 'Some guy told us that an Entei made the volcano erupt and then told us that we'd find answers at Slateport before using some other Pokemon to disappear'. Heck, if Isaac hadn't witnessed all of that himself, he'd have a hard time believing it, even with all of the other crazy things going on in Hoenn.

"My Crobat's pretty drained from flying around the volcano, though, and the Pokemon Center here is probably packed." He turned to address the other boy yet again. "So I guess we'll be walking to Mauville and using the Center there, maybe get some food while we're there, and then fly to Slateport from there, if that's okay with you...uh...oh. Right. Introductions," Isaac said sheepishly as he remembered that he'd opted to wait until they were in relative safety before any formalities were taken care of. "My name's Isaac, and I swear I'm not normally this rude, but with everything else going on I guess it slipped my mind."

Llewellyn watched the girl speak. He was slightly amused by her theory about what caused the eruption. 'A really fast Pickachu' probably wouldn't cause this much damage unless it was a REALLY fast Pickachu. He would've thought most people would logically think of a legendary. Llewellyn assumed he was talking to the minority. Well, Llewellyn's view might have been biased after being told that Entei may have caused the eruption.

Llewellyn looked around and sighed. Something was happening, something big. No events like this happen on their own, after Team Galactic a few years back Llewellyn knew that strange events usually had some conspiracy behind it. Llewellyn was un-certain of his part to play yet but, he would rather be in the middle of it all rather than sitting on the side lines and watching the possible end of the world un-fold.

As the idea stuck in his head a small amount of excitement burned inside Llewellyn. He then also took to the time to realised that he was now surrounded by new people. He gulped and mentally stepped back. The boy here had saved his life and he planned to travel with him to Slateport, maybe then continue to travel with him. The girl he didn't know at all. He looked at both of them slightly worried, but tried to force down his social anxiety and carry on talking.

The girl mentions something about the Contest Hall in Slateport. Llewellyn relaxed a bit, he was always comfortable talking about contests. "So I assume you're going to enter the contest down there soon as well." Llewellyn said with a mostly calm tone. A hint of worry did make it's way through as well. He wasn't the biggest fan of tough competition and this girl looked like the definition of it. He couldn't let himself get worried though, he hadn't even seen what the girl could do yet.

The boy started talking again and Llewellyn calmly listened. After the boy- Isaac - stopped talking Llewellyn realised how rude he had been. Throughout the entire experience he hadn't even introduced himself to the person who may or may not have saved his life. "Oh, don't worry about it Issac, I forgot to introduce myself as well. My name is Llewellyn, but because most people don't get how to say it they call me Louis for short. I'm also very sorry for being as impolite as you thought you were. Also walking to Mauvile sounds fine. Any excuse to possible bump into a fire type pokemon." Llewellyn smiled and looked at Isaac. "So I guess we'll get going whenever you are ready."

Solana only caught the tail end of their conversation, stealing glances from where she was tending to her Milotic when she was fairly sure none of them would notice. Eventually, she withdrew Milotic, burying her fingers in Absol's soft fur and inching her way closer to the group. She was hoping to approach the trainers subtly, which Absol didn't quite understand, leading her to headbutt one of the trainers, knocking them to the ground and causing Solana to sputter in shock.

"I'm so sorry!" she gasped, running over and helping them stand. "Absol doesn't usually do things like that; I honestly don't know what got into her. Are you alright?"

Erin felt a small burst of excitement when she heard their destination was Slateport as well, and the excitement only grows when one of the trainers asks if she was going to participate in the upcoming contest. "Yeah, I definitely plan on entering! You are too, right? I hear some trainer from Kanto has recently been doing well in Hoenn's contests – they've got an impressive Banette is what I've been told."

Regardless, Erin simply listened in as the two introduced themselves to each other, and it isn't until they finish does Erin find it appropriate to talk once again. They'd said they were going to walk to Mauville by foot before flying to Slateport, and she couldn't help but want to tag along; after all, with the things that were happening, Erin found the idea of running into something unpleasant – and alone, no less – to be rather unappealing.

"I don't mean to intrude— and I know we've just met, but— mind if I come along with you guys too?" Erin asked sheepishly, withdrawing the hand that'd been about to grab her Togekiss' Poke Ball. "I was about to just fly to Slateport, but… I'm kind of scared to go alone with what's been happening. I might find my Altaria too while we're walk– a-ah!"

The sentence fizzled before Erin could finish it, an unknown force having rammed into her and consequently knocking her onto the ground. Her Cleffa, clearly startled, simply clung onto her trainer as someone came to help, and gratefully accepting the assistance, Erin stood back up once again.

The culprit, it turned out, was an Absol, and her trainer was spluttering out an apology once Erin got back up. "No no, it's fine! Don't worry about it!" she said, laughing the matter off as a way to dismiss it. "But back to Slateport – if I could, ah, tag along with you guys… that'd be great!"

Isaac raised an eyebrow when the other boy said his name. Whatever it was, it certainly wasn't the kind of name you'd hear in Unova, but thankfully he provided an alternative.

"Loius it is, then," Isaac responded as he finally took Blue's Poke Ball and lazily tossed it in the air, causing it to pop open and allowed the Herdier to retake its proper place by Isaac's side. As he did that, he listened to Loius and the girl discuss Pokemon Contests, something Isaac had heard of but never really looked into. Making a mental note to look into it later, Isaac's full attention went back to the girl when she asked if she could travel with them, another grin spreading across his face as she spoke.

"Fine with me! Although, uh, I guess it's not entirely my choi- whoa!"

Blue had started barking about the time the Absol was there, crashing into the girl and sending her to the ground. Blue continued barking in response and placed herself protectively between Isaac and the Absol, growling at it as it stared the other Pokemon down and prepared herself to spring at it if it came to that.

"Blue, no!" Isaac snapped as a young adult woman that Isaac assumed to be the thing's Trainer approached and began apologizing. The girl didn't seem to be hurt and laughed the matter off and Isaac relaxed slightly, but while Blue stopped growling she never took her eyes off the Absol. Isaac took notice of this, but the girl began speaking again and prevented Isaac from further scolding his Pokemon, although he did notice that the woman seemed to have something else to say.

"Well, you have a point about traveling alone," Isaac replied to the girl with a nod, "It's okay with me if you come with us, but Loius's got a say in this, too."

As he listened to the rest of the discussion, Isaac snapped at his Herdier and finally brought her attention away from the Absol. Isaac made a small motion with his hand to indicate that Blue should move, which she did after taking another glance back at the Absol. Isaac smiled, knowing that she was only trying to protect him, but Isaac didn't want to further provoke the other Pokemon. Isaac reached down and lightly scratched Blue's head before turning his attention to the Absol's Trainer.

"Ah, sorry, but, uh...did you need something?" he asked.

Solana ushered Absol away from the trainer, gently stroking the tuft of fur that covered the Pokemon's left eye as the others spoke. As contests were brought up, she perked up, briefly wondering if she should partake. Eventually, she rationalized that she wouldn't be very good, instead deciding that she would simply allow her pokemon some downtime at the beach or some such attraction.

Come to think of it, hadn't it been Slateport where she'd traded a Seaking for her Magikarp? Yes, she remembered now. Its trainer had been kicking it around and yelling at it for being useless when she'd happened along, her Goldeen having just evolved at the time. She'd traded the trainer her Seaking, since it seemed he'd only wanted a good water-type Pokemon, but Magikarp had taken a long time to recover, only evolving during her recent work in Kalos. gripping the net ball hesitantly, she wondered if going back would set off another of its destructive rages...

Solana was pulled from her thoughts as one of the trainers asked her a question, if she needed anything. And what an odd thing it was for her to be asked that question, as the aide to almost all of the Pokemon professors in the world so far. She smiled a bit, tilting her head and pushing back a slight flush in her cheeks. "Oh, well, I couldn't help but overhear you all talking," she began, rocking back and forth on her feet. "And, well, since I'm a scientist, I have connections to most of the Pokemon Professors, no? So then I got to wondering if there was anything I could do for you."

"Well, I can't...hmm," Isaac began to reply to the woman but stopped as an idea came to him. If she was a knowledgeable as she seemed to be, then she might know something about what had started the fires in Lavaridge...

"Well, apparently some sort of Electric type Pokemon came through here and did all of this," Isaac said motioning around at the town and the dying flames, "With everything going on, I'm guessing it was probably a legendary." He paused for a moment to consider his next statement, hesitant to bring it up in case questions were asked, but in the end he decided to share anyway.

"Maybe something connected to Entei? I'm from Unova, so I'm not too familiar with the legends of other regions," Isaac said, throwing out the last bit to possibly deflect any questions that might come up as a result of him bringing Entei up all of a sudden.

Llewellyn laughed. It wasn't an oddity for people not to be able to say his name, it was no shock to him that Isaac couldn't. He would make a mental note to thank his parents once again for giving him such an awkward name. Llewellyn relaxed and smiled. Maybe it'd be nice to bring out Caligo. Most of the time Caligo liked meeting new pokemon. In this situation he figured it'd be nice to have him meet the pokemon he'd be travelling with for the next few days.

The girl asked if Llewellyn would be entering the pokemon contest. "I'm planning on doing it, although it will be my first one. But I've heard that rumor too! luckily while lurking I witnessed him win one. That Banette is something else. It's so powerful and graceful all in one. I'd hate to compete against it." Llewellyn admitted.

Just as Llewellyn reached for the pokeball containing Caligo an Absol charged in out of no where and knocked the girl with a missing Altaria to the floor. Isaac's Herdier started barking protectively over her trainer. Meanwhile Llewellyn had jumped backwards gripping Caligo's pokeball like a lethal weapon. After being bullied in school and outside of it he wasn't a fan of jump scares.

As Llewellyn walked back to where he originally stood he was growling almost as much as the Herdier - which was apprently named blue. Llewellyn didn't know if Isaac minded but he wanted to refer to Blue by her name now. I looked at the girl on the floor and smiled. "Of course you can come with us. I don't mind, you seem nice and I'm not the most social person."

Llewellyn then tuned into to the conversation between the woman with the very reckless Absol. She admitted to listening in on their conversation, which made Llewellyn feel uncomfortable. But she then offered them some assistance if they needed any. After saying she had links with the other professors Llewellyn's initial reaction was to ask if she knew of a way for him to get a fire type starter pokemon. But he bit his lip instead. He was far too shy to ask out of fear of being shot down. It had taken him this long to actually talk to people here in Hoenn. As well as get the guts to enter a pokemon contest, should there be one. He didn't feel like having all his confidence collapse after so much progress.

Solana blinked, tilting her head. "Entei?" she repeated, furrowing her brow. "Well, Entei is connected to eruptions and that... If it was connected to Entei and a legendary, I'd have to say probably Raikou? Ah, but those Pokemon almost never appear, so it was more likely something like a powerful Emolga, or perhaps a Pachirisu. Besides, I don't think those Pokemon would want to venture far from their home region."

She noticed the other boy seemed to have something to say as well, and she smiled a bit. "If there's something you need to say, don't be shy," she chirped, straightening her (albeit somewhat dirty) white lab coat. "I'll answer any questions to the best of my ability, and if there's something you need found out, I can find it."

Llewellyn bit his lip. He didn't want to admit that he wanted to ask for a fire type starter pokemon. Even an egg would do for him. He tried to think of the correct way to phrase it, so he didn't sound rude or lazy. But at the same time he felt like he was being both rude an lazy. "Well, I was going to ask if possible it would be okay if you got one of the professor's you know to send over one sfire type started pokemon from one of the other regions. Preferably a Fennekin, Chimchar, or Cyndaquil. I don't mind which it is, or even if it's an egg. I've raised eggs before. I'm just having a terribly hard time finding a fire type pokemon I want to catch. I don't feel as if any of the ones I've seen suit me." Llewellyn addmitted sheepishly.

Llewellyn then looked at Isaac and the other girl with them, praying that they weren't judging him for his decision. He would prefer it if his potential new friends didn't judge him for is desperation to get his hands on a fire type pokemon. The only reason Llewellyn even mentioned eggs was because he knew he was great a raising pokemon from eggs and most of the time they get starter pokemon from farms. He would be more than willing to go and collect one as long as he actually got one.

A bright smile was quick to pull at Erin's lips once they agreed to let her tag along, and it soon morphed into pleasant surprise when the newcomer admitted to having connections with many professors. Erin personally admired the professors greatly, especially Sycamore from her own region; it was under his guidance that she caught her Cleffa and therefore began her Pokemon journey.

Regardless, Erin simply listened as they threw out possible theories; an Entei, a Raikou… both names were vaguely familiar as Erin had a friend in Kanto who talked about them every now and then. She couldn't help but grin when the lady threw out the idea of a strong Emolga or Pachirisu, however. "I had the same idea! I thought it was a really fast Pikachu… which I guess is kinda outlandish, but what else is yellow? …A really fast Pichu, maybe…?"

The girl let the thought sit in her mind for a bit as one of the boys began asking the lady for a possible Fire-type starter, and Erin couldn't help but chuckle. If she was honest, it wasn't surprising that he didn't like some of the Fire-types he'd encountered; she personally had encountered mainly Slugmas so far, and just saying their name made Erin want to groan as this point.

"If a professor is able to deliver a Fire-type Pokemon, you could receive it via a Pokemon Center! It'll all work out since we're heading to one in Mauville," Erin pointed out, "And miss, you can come with us as well? To make sure he gets his delivery if it happens… and I think it'd be cool to have someone who's worked with professors to talk with. If it's okay with these guys," and she gestured to her two, potentially new friends, "We can all travel together! And maybe even participate in Slateport's upcoming contest, if you guys want! The more the merrier, they say."

Isaac nodded, but otherwise remained silent to the woman's reply, not wanting to talk about the matter more than necessary. Thankfully, neither the woman nor the girl pushed further and instead fell back to the really fast, small Electric rodent theory. Isaac offered a small smile in response, but he didn't buy into it; he was now thoroughly convinced that whatever had been here had been a Raikou, if what that boy from before said was true- it certainly couldn't be a coincidence.

He had been so focused on his own thoughts that he hadn't really been paying attention to the rest of the conversation or anything else going on around him, but the girl asking the woman if she wanted to travel with them and the talk of Contests brought him back to the present.

"Oh, I'm definitely planning on trying the Contest! And I'm fine with one more person tagging along...assuming, of course, there wont be any problems?" Isaac asked as he looked down at Blue, who had been eyeing the Absol warily throughout the conversation. Blue looked up at her Trainer and then huffed, turning away slightly as she did so. Isaac chuckled and reached down and began petting her, eventually bringing a playful bark from the Pokemon.

"Always a sucker for the petting," Isaac said with another chuckle before returning his attention to the others. "Anyway, I guess we need more introductions. My name's Isaac, and this is...um," Isaac stopped, having turned to introduce Loius to speed things along, but he hit a wall once he realized that saying his full name was a task of its own.

"On second thought, I'll let him handle his own introduction," he said sheepishly. He began to take off his pack to retrieve his hat, only to be interrupted by a short, impatient bark and an equally impatient look from Blue.

"Oh, right, this is Blue," Isaac said with a grin. Blue barked in confirmation as Isaac finally removed his pack and paused to lightly scratch behind Blue's ear before he began digging through his pack, eventually pulling out his leaf hat.

"Aw, man," Isaac said with a sigh as he took the hat out. The sudden shoving into the bag had damaged some of the leaves, but was still held together by the silk that bound it. Despite the wear and tear it was thankfully still wearable, so Isaac gently placed it on his head, deciding to have Leah look at it once they were a good distance away from Lavaridge.

"Oh, I have a few bottles of water in here if anyone wants any," Isaac spoke to the group, pulling out his own bottle from the bag and one extra in case anyone else wanted one.

Solana nodded to the boy, smiling brightly. "I'll see what I can do," she hummed. "I'm currently working with both Professor Birch and Professor Sycamore, so I'll speak with them about it. Ah, but if they don't happen to have any, perhaps I could arrange for a quick trip to Mt. Pyre for you? Vulpix is a rather good Fire-type, or I could see if an Eevee is available? I seem to remember that I have a good deal of fire stones in storage, so it wouldn't be a hassle."

She noticed they began introducing themselves then, beginning with Isaac. Once the stage was clear, she beamed and buried her fingers in Absol's fur again. "Ah, I'm Solana."

Llewellyn got very excited at the idea of getting a fire type pokemon. "Thank you so much! You have no idea how long I've waited for a good fire type!" Llewellyn cheered joyfully. After so many Slugmas and Numels it was such a relief for Llewellyn to hear that he may get a good fire type pokemon. "Also I don't have to make my Eevee evolve Flareon. I can let Eros choose again!" He was ecstatic that this was still possible.

Llewellyn giggled as Isaac tried to introduce Llewellyn but couldn't pronounce his full name. Llewellyn looked at the boy an acknowledged how cute he looked in that moment then violently shook his head. 'No, you can't think like that Louis. It's never good when you think like that.' Llewellyn grinned slightly at the thought though. "My name is Llewellyn, but by the look of it Isaac over here can't say it. So, just call me Louis. Almost no one can say my name. Blame my parents."

Llewellyn looked at Isaac. "Hey could I have one of those bottles of water? I didn't notice how thirsty I was until just now." Llewellyn actually was shocked at how he had gone so long without asking for a drink. He hadn't noticed how hot it was.

"Also, I think we better start to get moving, unless you all fancy travelling at night." Llewellyn explained and grabbed the pokeball containing Caligo and tossed it into the air. The Murkrow came out and perched himself on Llewellyn's shoulder. "Caligo here is the result of the one time I travelled at night. It wasn't fun to say the least. But he's the first pokemon I caught so not everything that came out of that was bad." Llewellyn explained. Caligo then squawked in agreement.

As the two conversed about Fire-type Pokemon, Erin came to slowly realize that all of them had introduced themselves but her; thus, after their conversation was finished, a sheepish chuckle left Erin's mouth. "I just realized I haven't introduced myself yet! I'm Erin, and this pink blob-" and she gestured to the Cleffa on her shoulder, "-is my partner, Cleffa. It's nice to meet you all."

With introductions done and over with, Erin politely declined Isaac's offer of a water bottle -- her stomach still remained rather queasy with all the events and she didn't want to risk making it worse -- so instead, she listened as Llewellyn suggested they start moving, releasing a Murkrow in the process.

"That's cool!" Erin chimed, "Last time I traveled at night, I nearly--"

"Celebi!"

It's the sudden, high-pitched cry that cut Erin off as she jumped a bit, surprised to hear the sound. It was rather distant, and whatever it was, she couldn't recognize it; regardless, her head instinctively whipped around to see what it was, her eyes only managing to catch a glimpse of green (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Celebi_(Pok%C3%A9mon)) before it disappeared.

"Y... You guys, um... heard that, right?" Erin said tentatively, eyeing the area where she'd spotted the flash of green with a look of caution. "Was that a Pokemon? I've never heard that kind of cry around here before," Erin mused, and for a second, the idea of investigating it didn't seem too bad. It sounded nearby, and it could almost be like an adventure trying to find out what it was... "Should we check it out?"

Isaac handed the spare bottle of water he had in his other hand to Loius, then put the pack back on and stood, opening his own bottle and taking a sip as the others talked. At the sound of the sudden cry, Isaac and Blue simultaneously turned to look in the direction it had come from just in time to see the flash of green before whatever it was disappeared.

"I definitely heard that," was Isaac's reply to the girl who was apparently named Erin, "I also saw that green thing, whatever it was...wait," Isaac paused, suddenly remembering the green Pokemon the boy from before had had with him. Isaac turned to look at Loius to see if he'd had the same thought that he had, but he didn't stay to talk about it.

"C'mon," Isaac said as he shot off in the direction the cry had come from, Blue barking after him in caution before giving an irritated huff and following her Trainer.

Llewellyn took the bottle of water of Isaac. The entire time he couldn't stop smiling like a goofball. After the bottle was in his hand Llewellyn scalded himself for acting so stupid. He opened the bottle and took a swig of it. "Thanks, I needed that." He told Isaac as he then took another swig of the water. He drunk about a quarter of what had been in the bottle.

Llewellyn placed the lid back on the bottle and went to speak again when a cry cut him off. "You two heard it as well then." Llewellyn said quietly. "I wonder what-" Llewellyn's mind immediately went to the boy from the top of the mountain. He quickly looked at Isaac to check they were thinking the same thing. By the looks of it he had thought the same thing as Isaac.

"C'mon" Isaac said before shooting off in the direction the green flash had been seen.

"Well, looks like someone here is a bit reckless." Llewellyn said while laughing slightly. He took off in a run to follow Isaac. Caligo jumped off from Llewellyn shoulder and flew just to the side of his Trainer.

Solana had barely processed everything that had happened when a blur of green whirled by, a high-pitched cry sounding. Instinctively, she and Absol both dashed off in hot pursuit, Pokedex at the ready in hopes of registering it. "That was a pokemon," she muttered. "I'm sure of it. Ah, but where did it go?"

Pretty soon, the boys caught up to her, and she sighed. "It came this way, I'm sure of it...."

It was startling how quickly the three trainers ran off, leaving Erin to stare at the place they once stood before laughing. "We can't let them go adventuring without us, right Cleffa?" the girl remarked playfully, earning a cry from her Pokemon. Making sure her Pokemon sat securely on her shoulder, Erin began to scramble after them. "Wait up, guys!"

Running quickly, her speed began to diminish once she saw their figures in the distance, and it didn't take long for her to finally catch up. Disappointingly enough, however, Erin couldn't see anything that might have caused the sound -- nothing matched the shade of green she'd seen earlier, meaning it must have escaped. "I don't see-- g-gah!"

It wasn't until a small, fairy-like creature zipped across her line of sight did Erin realize she was wrong; however, what caught her attention most was the Poke Ball clutched tightly in its hands. Since when did wild Pokemon carry Poke Balls? Was this perhaps a new trend in Hoenn?

Whatever reason it could have been, Erin didn't have much time to ponder before the Pokemon chucked it onto the ground. Such an action resulted in releasing the Pokemon from its Poke Ball, And Erin staggered backwards when a big purple balloon appeared.

No -- she actually knew what it was. "A Drifblim!? Hey, wait!" Reaching out her hand to the small green Pokemon that'd thrown the Poke Ball, Erin's face twisted into a look of confusion. "Where did you get this Poke Ball!?"

"Celebi!" Rewarded with simply a cry of its name, Erin could only watch as it vanished into thin air. Teleport? Perhaps it was a Psychic-type? Whatever the case, Erin was now more focused on the Drifblim than the green Pokemon that vaguely reminded her of an onion.

"Did... Did, uh..." Having to swallow before continuing, Erin slowly backed away from the Drifblim in case it went rampant. "...Did any of you guys lose a Drifblim?"

Isaac silently looked around as he tried to spot any sign of the Pokemon they were after, but came up with nothing. Blue was also rapidly looking around, but like her Trainer was unable to find anything.

"Yeah, it definitely went this way," Isaac replied to Solana, keeping his voice low to keep from potentially startling the thing if it was hiding nearby. Isaac started to speak again when Erin suddenly gasped. Isaac whirled around and spotted the green Pokemon, which turned out to be the very same one from before. Further cementing Isaac's theory, the thing suddenly threw a Poke Ball and a familiar Drifblim materialized before the group as it popped open.

"I knew it!" Isaac exclaimed, and he began scanning the skies for any sign of the Trainer from before.

"Celebi!" The green Pokemon cried in response to Erin shortly before disappearing again. Isaac, having never heard of a Celebi before, turned his focus onto the Drifblim.

"It definitely isn't mine, but I have a pretty good idea of who both it and that other Pokemon belong to," Isaac replied to Erin. "No idea if any of them are friendly." Isaac then took a cautious step forward then turned to Blue.

"Be ready for anything," Isaac said. Blue nodded, her focus never leaving the Drifblim as she let out a long and low growl. That done, Isaac turned back to the Drifblim.

"What do you want? Where's your Trainer?" Isaac finally asked the Pokemon.

Llewellyn looked around the woods silently. He wasn't sure exactly what he was looking for, he had only caught a small bit of the pokemon. It was green and small. He guessed it would look like a small green fairy. To Llewellyn it seemed logical to suspect it would look like a small, green, fairy. Caligo was trying his best, but even from the trees the pokemon was un-seeable. The pokemon returned to his trainers shoulder and let out a sheepish "Murkrow."

Llewellyn sighed and looked at the others. "I swear it came this way but there's no sign of it." Llewellyn was about to send Caligo out to search again when he heard Erin gasp. Llewellyn spun around and saw a small green pokemon holding a pokeball. It reminded him of the one he had saw before. "But wait, where's the-"

Just as Llewellyn asked the question he wished he hadn't. The green pokemon threw a pokeball to the floor. Then, almost as if it was meant to be The Drifblim appeared. Caligo suddenly turned aggressive and flew next to his trainer to protect him. Llewellyn looked around for the pokemon's trainer.

"Isaac, I'm not going mad am I? These seem like exactly the same pokemon from before. Do you think their trainer is with them?" Llewellyn asked his eyes still searching his surroundings for the trainer.

Solana blinked as the Pokemon dashed by, her wrist flicking in an attempt to capture enough of a glimpse that she could get its name. Briefly, she stared in awe at what it registered, nearly dropping the device. "That's..." She nearly dropped to her knees in shock, though absol supported her. "That's not possible..." Celebi? As in, the Legendary Pokemon, Celebi? It couldn't be possible. It went against everything she knew; Celebi wasn't supposed to even be native to Hoenn!

Her attention was called back to the present, however, when a large purple pokemon appeared from a pokeball, which she soon recognized as a Drifblim. "Drifblim, Drifblim," she mumbled. There were lots of scary stories of Drifblim, of how they carried people and other pokemon off at night. "Well, this one doesn't look to be too upset, so I do believe it's safe..." She smiled then, slowly approaching the pokemon and placing a hand on one of its four arms. "See? It doesn't seem angry at all, really."

The events were too much to process -- it wasn't everyday Erin had the pleasure of seeing a volcano erupt, and this was the first time a strange Pokemon had casually sent out another Pokemon before disappearing. Yet, for whatever reason, Isaac and Llewellyn reacted strangely; perhaps they recognized it? The closer Erin looked at it, the more she felt a spark of recognition as well.

Regardless, what caught her attention most was Solana. The female would've collapsed to the ground had her Absol not supported her, obvious surprise in her expression. She must've known what that green thing was, and making a mental note to consult her later, Erin watched as she approached the Drifblim.

In response to her touching one of his arms, the Drifblim made a happy sound before moving to pat her head -- the tense situation that'd come up after his appearance intimidated the Pokemon, so the show of friendliness was easily welcomed. "Drifblim!" And in that moment, Erin swore the Pokemon was familiar.

"No way-- Drifloon?" Erin choked out, earning another happy cry from the Pokemon. "Granted, you're not a Drifloon anymore, but-- is that you? You've evolved!" There was no doubt about it -- she remembered meeting the Pokemon back in his first stage evolution, and even back then the Drifloon often patted people's heads with his gangly arms. "I, uh, think I might actually know who this Pokemon belongs to!" Erin said sheepishly, "The trainer's a strange fellow, so it's no surprise his Drifblim appeared out of no where. Nagi always loses his Pokemon."

Moving forward to grab the now empty Poke Ball from the ground, Erin held it up. "Should we send the Drifblim back into his Poke Ball? We're heading off to the Pokemon Center, and considering Nagi, he's probably looking for his Drifblim right now. We might run into him at the Pokemon Center or something."

"Yeah, these are definitely those same Pokemon," Isaac said, "But I don't see their Trainer anywhere..."

Whatever the Celebi thing was, Solana seemed surprised to see it. Isaac would have asked her about it, but before he could she regained her composure and made her way over to the Drifblim. Isaac grew tense as she began examining it, although she had a point- it didn't seem upset or even remotely hostile. This wasn't enough for Blue, though, and the Herdier got ready to pounce even as the Drifblim started acting friendly.

"No way-- Drifloon?" Erin suddenly spoke up, but that wasn't what got Isaac's attention. What made Isaac riase an eyebrow was when the thing responded to her, almost as if it recognized her.

"I, uh, think I might actually know who this Pokemon belongs to! The trainer's a strange fellow, so it's no surprise his Drifblim appeared out of no where. Nagi always loses his Pokemon."

"I...see...," Isaac responded, confusion clear on both his face and in his voice. Blue also seemed to ease up, looking to Isaac for further direction, although Isaac was clueless about whatever was going on at the moment and he had nothing for her just yet. Isaac remained silent as Erin picked up Drifblim's Poke Ball and asked if they should try to find him so they could return Drifblim to him.

"I, uh...you know what? Sure, yeah, let's do it," Isaac finally responded, "If this Nagi is the same guy that we ran into before, then he owes us some answers anyway. And an apology for the way he treated my Crobat." Isaac hesitated to say anymore- after all, he could be wrong. It wasn't like there was only one Drifblim out there. And yet...

"What about that Celebi thing? Any chance of that being his, too?" Isaac asked.

Llewellyn watched the events un-fold silently. In his mind he was making up a bunch on theories. One was that this boy was a time traveler and used this Celebi thing to do it. But that seemed crazy. No way would someone be able to use a Pokemon for time travel. Besides to his knowledge only Diagal could control time anyway.

After Isaac confirmed that the Drifblim looked like the one we encountered before Llewellyn let out a sigh. Since the Pokemon wasn't acting hostile Llewellyn could only assume that it was an accident that the boy left it behind. If it had been a trap they'd already be fighting.

Ignoring the sight of Solana nearly fainting at the sight of Celebi, Llewellyn began examining the Drifblim for any sign of being hostile. The Drifblim seemed harmless, maybe even confused. Caligo noticed it as well and the Murkrow returned to his trainer's shoulder. "Well it seems harmless enough..." Llewellyn mumbled as Erin walked towards the Drifblim.

"No way-- Drifloon?" Erin said while approaching the Drifblim. Llewellyn nearly fell over thin air while standing still. 'Erin knew this pokemon?' Llewellyn thought to himself. When the Pokemon responded to her Llewellyn shook his head. Erin probably knew the boy, at least enough for his Pokemon to be friendly towards her. He knew that this was the most likely possibility, whether or not Erin admitted it was another matter.

"I, uh, think I might actually know who this Pokemon belongs to! The trainer's a strange fellow, so it's no surprise his Drifblim appeared out of no where. Nagi always loses his Pokemon."

'Well, at least she didn't deny knowing it.' Llewellyn thought as he smiled, trying to look relaxed. "Wait, you know this pokemon - as well as his trainer? I don't mean to sound rude, and we have just met and all. But would you mind answering for me how you know Drifblim's trainer?" Llewellyn was just thankful that this was being straight-forward. He didn't need any sort of confusing plot to deal with. So far he'd established what the trainer's name was and that he was a bit of a cluts. Also at least he name was easy to say!

Erin then asks us if we want to find Nagi and return his Drifblim to him. Llewellyn glanced at Isaac, waiting for his response. He didn't want to disagree with him. "I, uh...you know what? Sure, yeah, let's do it. If this Nagi is the same guy that we ran into before, then he owes us some answers anyway. And an apology for the way he treated my Crobat." Llewellyn let out a sigh. "Sure, let's go. I'm with Isaac, he does owe us both some answers." Since Isaac's Crobat wasn't Llewellyn's pokemon he decided not to make a comment on that situation. Or that he found Nagi's passion to get justice for his pokemon kinda cute. But the fact that this 'Nagi' could just be a harmless guy nagged in the back of Llewellyn's mind. He seemed strange and all but he also could just a few screws loose and we're all going on a wild goose chase after him.

"What about that Celebi thing? Any chance of that being his, too?" Llewellyn nodded in agreement. "Good point."

Llewellyn didn't know what to think. After a rather eventful day Llewellyn wanted to clear his head and not think anymore. When he finally got somewhere he could rest he either wanted to find a battle or find a place to practice Caligo's moves. He was heading towards a Pokemon contest anyway. It'd be nice to get a bit of extra practice in. Besides with all this going on making up a performance seemed easy. At least that was straight forwards.

Erin blinked at the sudden questions about Nagi -- did they know him too? Nagi was a weird trainer -- well, perhaps quirky was a better word -- so most people typically steered clear from the blond.

"Wait, you know this pokemon - as well as his trainer? I don't mean to sound rude, and we have just met and all. But would you mind answering for me how you know Drifblim's trainer?"

"No, I don't mind at all!" Erin said in response to Llewellyn. "Nagi, the Drifblim's trainer, is... well, I guess you could call him my rival? I first met him during a contest. We both didn't win, but I made it farther than him and he got annoyed at that, so he's been trying to beat me at everything ever since. He's really competitive."

By now it was apparent that both trainers had already encountered Nagi, as this time, Isaac piped up with a question that made Erin arch an eyebrow. "If this Nagi is the same guy that we ran into before, then he owes us some answers anyway. And an apology for the way he treated my Crobat."

"Did he do something weird to your Crobat? Nagi's been afraid of the Zubat evolution line for as long as I can remember, so if he screamed and, I dunno... tried to battle it, then I'm sorry. He's pretty impulsive," Erin explained, only to go into further confusion at Isaac's follow-up question. "And that Celebi thing... I dunno. Last time I met him, Nagi only had a Drifloon and a Furret. He might've caught the Celebi after that? He's from Kanto, so maybe those Celebi Pokemon are common in that region -- I've never seen them in Kalos."

Throwing the Poke Ball in the Drifblim's direction, Erin watched as he disappeared into it before picking the Poke Ball up with a sigh. "Whatever the case, I guess you guys met Nagi before! He was blond, right? Pink eyes? Kinda short? He might've grown in the time we haven't seen each other, but anyway..." Pointing a finger down the route, Erin gestured for them to keep moving. "If Nagi lost his Drifblim here, he'll probably be running around this route looking for it. Let's just keep walking -- we'll most likely run into him, and seeing as you guys seem to be curious about him, you can ask as many questions as you want once Nagi shows up. He's pretty easy-going."

"No, he didn't do anything like that..." Isaac barely managed to get out, Erin's words only further confusing him. Afraid of the Zubat line? Then what was that about always wanting a Crobat and it being so cool? The guy's behavior gave no indication that he was afraid of Kite at all.

"Yeah, that sounds like him alright," Isaac replied when Erin described Nagi, "We ran into him at the top of Mt. Chimney..." Isaac hesitated before going on, but decided that Erin probably deserved a bit of explanation if she knew the guy.

"He explicitly mentioned Entei being the cause of the eruption and said something about finding answers in Slateport. He also wasn't afraid of Kite-er, that's my Crobat- at all. In fact, he seemed more excited by it, and judging by the way he just launched himself onto it and was going on about how cool it was I'd say he must have gotten over his fear since you last saw him if not for him mentioning how he'd always wanted one. After all of that he disappeared along with his Drifblim and Celebi, so I'm guessing the Celebi used Teleport or something."

The more he spoke, the more confused Isaac grew. None of this was making any sense, and he felt the beginnings of a headache coming on, though he wasn't sure if it was from the confusing situation, the heat, or a combination of both. Regardless, Isaac took a quick drink of water before continuing.

"Anyway, I agree- the sooner we find him, the faster we get answers and maybe even get out of this heat."

Solana was still in shock. Celebi was here, in Hoenn, as well as rumours of other legendaries? Something was starting, that was for sure, and this mass exodus of legendaries was surely only the beginning. Upon hearing that a trainer had supposedly captured Celebi, she whipped around, her jaw dropping. She walked over to the group, listening to their conversation, eventually nodding when they decided to move on. "Agreed. We should move quickly, however; we don't know what caused all this for sure, and the wild Pokemon in these parts seem to be on edge. I wouldn't test them."

Llewellyn nodded along. But one thing was certain. Erin knew this Nagi character. It was nice that they were all both trying to connect the dots but there was nothing for Llewellyn to say unless he wanted to repeat everything Isaac said. Instead he sighed and looked at the group. "Whatever we are doing we better get on with it. Our goal hasn't changed and I kind of want to get on with it. The pokemon here are going to be a bit on edge and I'd prefer to avoid fighting them."

Llewellyn stretched his arm out and Caligo flew off his shoulder and started flying by his trainers head. The Murkrow looked alert which meant that there were probably pokemon who may be hostile near by. Llewellyn looked at his pokemon and nodded. "So, are we going now?" He asked.

The explanation Isaac offered served to throw Erin in for a loop. Entei? She'd heard the name before -- wasn't it associated with Legendaries? She was only familiar with her native region's Legendaries, such as Xerneas and Yveltal; anything else was only vaguely familiar at best.

Regardless, she took it in stride; Nagi was likely somewhere nearby, and the faster they met up with him, the faster she could actually understand what they meant by saying Nagi being involved with an Entei and somehow having a fascination for Isaac's Crobat.

"Yeah -- let's just get going now," Erin said, blowing out a sigh as she readjusted her Cleffa to a more comfortable position. "Everything that's happening has gotten me so confused, and if Nagi has some answers, I'd love to hear."

And with that, she set off down the route, cautious of any wild Pokemon lurking nearby. Like Solana and Llewellyn had mentioned, the Pokemon were more riled up than before, a result of the weird turn of events -- and honestly, Erin wasn't in the mood for battling, not when her mind was clouded with confusion and her Altaria still missing somewhere.

She had maybe walked for a few minutes, ears perked and eyes wide in case anything happened, and a pair of pink eyes flashed in amusement from a small distance away. They belonged to none other than Nagi as he eyed the group carefully; he'd run into two of the guys on Mt. Chimney, and Erin was someone he knew beforehand. With them was an older woman who he'd yet to be acquainted with, but for now--

"Haaah, it's youuuu!"

His wail was awfully loud as Nagi sprinted from his spot, pouncing and consequently crashing into the boy with the Crobat. "You're the one with the Crobat I met earlier! That Pokemon really freaks me out, you know!?" Nagi exclaimed, the lie making him smile internally in amusement. Glancing over at Erin, he then faked a look of surprise as he sprang back up into a standing position. "Ah, Erin!? You're here too?"

"Um... yeah? Nagi, you shouldn't jump on people like that. It was okay when we were kids but I don't think it's okay now," Erin said slowly, Nagi's sudden appearance having startled her. "Uh, but I guess you know these guys, then? They're my new friends, Isaac, Llewellyn and Solana. Isaac and Llewellyn say they've met you before."

Nagi could only nod, shooting a smug look at the two he'd run into. "Yup, met 'em on Mt. Chimney. Haah, his Crobat-" and he jutted a thumb towards Isaac, "Nearly gave me a heart attack, so I impulsively tried to challenge it! Sorry, I'm silly~"

"Really? But apparently I heard you actually tried to grab the Cro-"

"Anyway!" Effectively cutting Erin off, Nagi continued to speak. "I'm in a bit of a rush! Have any of you guys seen my Drifblim? I really really need him back! Cele- ...I mean... I might've dropped Drifblim's Poke Ball somewhere around here, whoops~!"

Solana's first indication of the boy was a loud cry, at which point absol released itself from its pokeball to stand between her and the mystery person. Mostly, she elected to stand by and watch things unfold, picking up every detail. When Nagi mentioned his Drifblim, Solana's eyes widened a bit. He'd started to say Celebi, hadn't he?

"I think I know where your Drifblim might have gone," she said, placing her hand soothingly on Absol's fur. "Perhaps I could take you there? You all can go ahead to Slateport; I'll meet you there." She smiled sweetly then, pinching Absol so that she lost the hostile look, the pokemon then deciding to yawn and sit at her side.
