Kane walked down the darken corridors in an unknown location somewhere deep within the Uroboros Headquarters, passing by saluting security guards. continuing onward, he sights one of his lieutenants waiting at the elevator, he was a large bald man of African descent, he wore a gray suit and carried with him a cane.

"What brings you here, Corbin?" Kane asked as he approached him.

"I came to accompany you in bringing the reports to Mr. Hemist, sir." he replied. "And to report to you that our forces are prepared to mobilize across the Neo City Market District, they await your word."

"Is that so?" he asked, as they both entered the elevator. "Good....after we deal with this, Ill send the order for the attack."

"However, General. was it wise to send one of the Blue Sirens?" cobrin asked. "She Wouldn't fare well against the Guardians....even that defective pet of hers would do no good..."

"No worries....and that Pet or Czar as the doctor calls him, is still in the experimental stages. Czar was created from her tissue, and I must say she is the finest among my blue sirens. Czar is to become a new generation of Dark Soldiers bred from the finest warriors."

"While I have no doubt of his strength, but with respect, sir. his intelligence is lacking.....the master did not fund our project just for an overgrown child."

"Ah details details, but that currently does not concern me. He'll soon become the first step towards the creation of the powerful army the world has ever seen...."

The soon a bing noise ringed in the elevator, as the doors slide open to a hallway leading to the President's room. "Shall we?" he asked his lieutenant.

Sky was pretending to doze sitting at a table for a outside seating cafe. His jacket was undone revealing the gray collared shirt underneath. His tie was loose and he had the appearance of an extremely tired overworked military agent. However the exact opposite could be said about him. He was fully alert and had all his emergency exits and escape routes memorized. He could escape from any sign of danger within seconds with his eyes closed. The reason behind his choice of appearance was it made him less noticeable by standing out. No one would suspect a man who appears to be out of it to be up to anything.

Sure he wasn't sure if he was up to anything, but he had learned to play it safe sometimes. According to his military files he was an ex-soldier with a disability, now working at a desk job. It was all fake, and he didn't even have a real file. The information about him was stored in the minds of those who assigned him his missions. So two or three people knew all his information. Anyone else who knew who he really was knew him by his code name, Angel. Of course the other guardians knew his real name, but anyone else including all the people in the assassinations department knew him as Angel.

His reason for being this close to the market district when he really wanted to be back in his room was simple. He had gotten tired of laying on his bed watching the ceiling. He wanted to be in the hustle and bustle of everyday life without actually being in it. Hearing the noises of the crowds and hearing his evil half tell him to kill pretty much every passerby was apart of him. If he wasn't near it something felt missing from his life. Plus the cafe had really good deserts and Sky had an enormous sweet tooth.

The president of Uroboros, the king cobra himself was sitting in his office. Incense and candles burned, filling the small room with soothing , though this ironically gave him the sense of fear back in his mind that they would be the cause of a fire one day or another. Other then those nicknacks it was almost drearily neat and stright forward, what one might epect from a former miltary man still thinking the eyes of a first sergent were upon him.

His fingers tapped rapidly on the table; he was accessing the Laplace Max v.4.0, the company's database, a genius of enginering if one were to ask his biased opinion, though a crude interface. "The nuero systems are too dangerous," He kept repeating."Still experimental!" They were, of course of relavtively low risk, but the few tragic mishaps with the technology in it's early stages meant that his fomrer partner, Yurige Mieles didn't exactly have a ball convincing him that they were a profitable product. Things were much better when Yurige was around, he thought.

None the less, Mr. Hemist had new partners nowadays. New partners, and a new buisness. A noble buisness, in his mind. But with so many expansions, it was much more difficult to keep track of it's going ons, which was what he trying to do now, as he was expecting a meeting any minute now rearding there newest plans for, um, expansion. Respect. Money. Power. Despite these, the thought of two partiuclar employess made him shiver. Quickly, he reached for his cup of panecea.

Even the bags under his eyes that just seemed to have been appearing more lately were no match for a mere bean. And for a time, all was good.

Ark had spent the day resourcefully, at a nearby Library. It was a rough three to four blocks from the Market District of Neo City. He spent the morning sipping a cup of coffee and reading articles from the Neo City Newspaper. Sometimes the best investigation tool in his arsenal. Ark took note of the reported bulglaries in the residential districts.

Within those reports Ark noted the amount of Small Arms reported stollen. From careful examination, over two hundred high caliber weapons were stollen. With enough amunition to lock down an entire grid. Ark's emeral eyes would scan through the reports passively. It had been four years going on five he'd been commisioned as a mid ranking officer.

Remembering when he was assigned duty as a Neo Guardian. Had surprised Ark as much as it did the others in the squad. However after a few demonstrations with his sharp shooting, and Kendo mastery. Ark proved himself capable of being a one man wrecking crew. Even amongst 'management' there was debate whether to allow Ark control over a squad.

But for the most part despite ongoing skirmishes with the Uroborous Army. Neo City remained under tight security under the watchful eye of the Guardians. Ark himself wondered if even Neo City was safe anymore. Considering that every attack had been around the region and globe. Thinking to himself on this matter Ark thought quietly inwardly.

"Despite all of the security and counter measures, I have to wonder. Are we really as safe here as the world is out there?"

Shaking his head, Ark lifted up his white cup and sipped the coffee from it. Folding the paper neatly together and tucking it under his right arm. Ark stood up and head toward the door. His standard issue 9mm pistol thumping against his chest while in the holster. He walked silently on foot, carefully placing his feet in quick but silent strides.

Opening the door from the right as more came in from the left. Ark walked to the sidewalk, the traffic of electric hybrid cars streaming from his left. Curiously Ark's emerald hues scanned over at the market district. He noted the crowds growing numbers, and shady looking individuals within that group. As he did Ark walked carefully up the street on foot.

As Ark walked by he was sure he could spot Sky observing the market district. Acknowledging Sky as his supperior, Ark kept his distance. His attention was drawn to the crowd almost like Ark could sense a pending disaster. Hoping in his heart that the people of Neo never had to experience the war here. Ark also acknowledged that in War, anywhere was fair game.

With a silent thought the dread of his gut instincts Ark hoped for the best.
If Sky looked over to Ark he might have notticed the sudden anguish on Arks face.

"Kami if it is in your will please don't let me be right. Not now for once.."

Sky noticed Ark and waved him over as his slice of chocolate cake arrived at the table. At least he wasn't alone at this part of the town. He may have liked being in the middle of a busy part of town, but his instincts were flaring up in thousands of directions. He hoped Ark would join him. He was in the mood for a good chat, or at least he was at the moment. His murderous side hadn't acted up in the past few hours. Usually it was urging him on to kill every person he met. He took a gulp of his coffee and picked up his fork to start eating his cake.

He was watching Ark closely, but discreetly. However he was doing it to the point where Ark would most likely notice he was watching. So even if Ark didn't get the message that he wanted him to come over, he would figure it out after seeing Sky watch him closely. Something was wrong, Sky had noticed the look on Ark's face. It meant that Ark was feeling a similar feeling to Sky. Not only that but the traffic in the market district began to pick up. It was usually packed, but it was becoming progressively heavier.

Kane and Corbin stepped in the President's office side by side, stopping a few steps away from his desk. both bowed and kane spoke. "Sir, I've brought the plans as promised. I think you'll find our little project worth the money." he grinned, handing the chart towards the president. "With your funding, Project Homunculus will be a success."

Elsewhere in the Neo City Market District, a group of five men in coats were existing an alley, blending in the large crowds as they dispersed. "This is Cobra leader...." one of them whispered to a hidden comm-device. "Cobra team is standing by...awaiting orders."

"The General hasn't giving the green light yet. "A female voice responded. "Stand by until further notice."

"Understood.."

Acknowledging that discretion was the better part of valor. Ark nod silently almost and then looked over to Sky, or code name 'Angel'. He felt a certain affinity to the word for some reason. Ark looked back over to Sky and walked over toward him, and walked through an opening in the gate. Bypassing a waitress who asked him for reservations.

"May I join you Angel?"

Protocol was protocol of course, Ark really didn't care to break it. But at that he saw no reason to uphold it either. Though he never outright asked Sky if he gave a damn or not was beside the point. Pulling the nearest seat and sitting down quietly he put the newspaper out for Sky to peer at. He kept his face slightly turned looking over to the alleyway perpendicular to the market sector.

"Some interesting police beats in the paper today. Apparently retired ex-millitary have had guns raided from their lock boxes."

Even in Neo City stiff laws undermining the black market for laws stood. When he was briefed on the city's gun laws. He scoffed at having to keep the M40A1 Assault Rifle locked in a gun locker. But given the choice between that and not being able to carry his side arm. Ark even liked it less having to keep his Massamune mounted.

While one could tell at first glance, Ark concealed his kendo stick. Concealed tightly in his trenchcoats right back. Beside the 9mm the kendo stick was the most powerful weapon in his arsenal. Besides his Massamune, but perhaps there were some things yet to be discovered. Ark felt a certain kinship between himself and the other Guardians.

"Sky if you had to say so, would you think that Neo City is really safe from Uroboros? Considering the outer border conflicts that have devastated world trade from the start."

All in all it was a front, but maticulously crafted to throw off someone watching. But beside that Ark actually was speaking from the heart. As deceptively well thought out it was. The difference was, Ark wasn't afraid to tell someone whether they were appreciated or not.

Sky nodded as Ark joined him and read through the paper laying out with a trained eye. All the while eating his cake and keeping up appearances of meeting an old acquaintance from work. "Interesting question. I would have to say that that is really unknown. I mean yes our city is safe to a certain extent. With the new soldiers running around in the Uroboros we might not have a chance. Even though our own army has five of these soldiers, and are said to be a team of elite soldiers. Even with that it really depends on the competence of those five individuals themselves. If they fail then our city wont be able to stand up against the force Uroboros has put together."

It had been hard to communicate that in secret. That was something he had been worrying about as well lately. He knew Ark would understand, but he couldn't blow his cover so he had to make it harder. If Sky and his friends failed to fight the immense force that was Uroboros it would leave the whole city in peril.

Kill him Sky. You know you want to. Please let me kill him, it wont but take thirty seconds. Please?. Sky had been wondering when his sadistic nature would show up. Of course he wouldn't kill Ark, but that wouldn't mean nothing was going to happen. He couldn't completely control his murderous half. So now for the rest of the conversation he would have to listen to both Ark and the insidious comments flying through his head.

Sky mentally went over all his weapons making sure they were all present. Something still didn't feel right. He had his Browning 9x19mm Hi-Power stored in a secret pocket on the left side of his jacket. He had two concealed knives on both of his upper arms. Four more knives just above the waist line under his shirt. One hidden the a secret compartment on the bottom of both his shoes, and two on the outside of each of his thighs. That was all fourteen of his knives and his gun. He didn't have his sword today, because that would be an oddity to try and hide.

Meanwhile, deep within the Uroboros Headquarters, in an underground complex. A man wearing glasses walked down a dimly lilted grand hall of sorts, walking past slowly sliding doors leading to a laboratory. his clothing was a mixture of red, gold and black. he too carried a cane.

The lab was full with sorts of machines and busy scientists. out of the machines in the lab, the most noticeable were thirteen tubs set against the walls in rows of six, with the last out standing in between. within them was a green liquid of sorts, as well as eggs. As the man walked in, he was greeted by one of the scientists. "Commander Leonev! has the General gotten results from the president?"

"Not that I know of." he replied, soon changing the subject. "How goes the progress for the thirteen prototypes?"

"It's going well, sir." he replied. "The eggs have been fertilized and are growing as we speak." he paused, passing a chart to the commander. "We can expect them to reach maturity within five months. however...we may or may not experience compilations in their growth."

"As long they survive, that is all that needs to be done." Leonev said, handing the chart back to the scientist. "Once we receive the proper funding's and begin tests runs with the prototypes. We can breed an army of these creatrures."

The echoing of footsteps could be heard down the long corridors. Two figures strode in rhythm with one another as the passed door after door heading towards a destined location.

The rounded a corridor, their stride never breaking in it's rhythm, closely approaching their destination. The lights dimmed slightly as they two beings closed in on the President's office.

"General Kane, General Xielon here, are you in the President's office?" the figure spoke into a comm device. The other figure simply slowed it's pace and stood only feet away from the President's office door.

"Xielon, we should get going, we have a mission to accomplish," the figure spoke in a light tone.

"In a moment Avalon, I have to make sure that things are running smoothly," Xielon replied identifying his brother finally.

General Xielon waited for General Kane's response while Commander Avalon approached a staircase that led to the inner most bowels of the Uroboros Headquarters.

He quickly strode down the stairs, his pace quick and steady, soon he burst through a pair of doors, "Commander Leonav," Avalon spoke, giving recognition to both Commander Leonav and the Scientist, "Is everything going according to plan?" he added a raised eyebrow upon his face as he looked over the chart that another Scientist handed him.

General Xielon stood outside of the President's Office awaiting General Kane's response, he took a seat, not wanting to barge into the office.

For a moment Alfred thought he heard the door open. His eyes were glued to the display. He thought he heard a voice. His eyes were glued to the display. He was skimming though his master work, the heart of the current Uroboros mission plan.

Essentially its contents detailed that the quality of the results of their conquest would determine at what stage of the world's birth they would start at when they inevitably conquered it. Nigredo was the first, and was a fuedal government. Albedo, the second, was a church militant. The third, Rubedo, was a questionably stable libertarian socialist system. Eventually, the world would supposedly reach a even more questionably stable utopia tilted Panacea.

It took ruffling of the waving paper to snap the President back into reality. Good news, hard work needed celebration, and celebration needed booze. He sat up, sat the papers on the desk and began to reach under his desk into a mini fridge. Keeping a professional; appearance proved arduous while blindly getting the glasses and bottle or International Gargle Blaster, but the arrival of Xeilon gave him a second wind and a smile on his face.

He layed down four glasses on the desk with one hand and the bottle with the other, as he proclaimed: "Today I can only offer you a drink, but when this is all finished you'll all have a drink of Panacea, your eternal place in history!" He dulled down his voice to a calm. ”Just keep up the good work.”

Meanwhile from a short distance of the Market District, a pair of strangers stood atop of an office building, one of them, a woman, laid on her stomach, and peered through a pair of binoculars from the building for a few minutes, she had a shade of plum hair, and golden eyes. And wore a blue jumpsuit with armored pads set through out the body. setting the binoculars down, the woman grabbed a small comm-device. "Are all units in position?" the woman spoke.

"Drone units....standing by.." a metallic voice droned a response,

"Cobra Team, standing by." a male's voice spoke.

"Viper company standing by." another male voice spoke.

"Proceed with the Operation...." She ordered, cutting off immediately, standing straight up, then turning to the other one.

"What's the Boss want us to do now?" the tall figure asked in a low, gruff tone as he grabbing the cloak, tossing it upward as the wind blew it away. revealing a well-built muscular man, his hair was a shade of medium purple. His eyes were an odd color combination, with a mixture of golden and jet black. he had tanned skin and the number "00" imprinted on his right shoulder, signifying he the first among of the homunculi prototypes released.

The large man then proceeded to grabbing a large cannon-like weapon that was set behind generators, aiming to the direction of the market. He mischievously grinned, "I gotta blow something up! please tell me the boss wants something blown up!!"

He sighed and withdrawn his weapon "Yes....Mama..."

"Good boy." She said, patting his cheek. "Remember, our mission is observe, report, and direct."

"Alright, mama." Czar as well replied. "But if they come, then I can fight?"

She sighed, and crossing her arms in annoyance. "Fine....just don't screw around..." soon a small holographic view screen materialized besides the woman. a redheaded girl appears on the screen. Explosions everywhere... People flailing, some being burned heavily from the explosions, others missing a limb. The blood seemed to flow around him as he watched the soldiers pour out from their vehicles. Sout looked around and kneeled next to the first person he saw as the soldier spoke. His hands glow a gentle white and slowly patch up the person that would have bled to death had he not stepped in. He moved back as the person got to his feet, seeming amazed at the fact that he was still alive.

One of the soldiers approach as Sout continues to the next person. He hadn't cared for a word the soldiers said - it was as if the Red was drawing his full attention, and one after another he was healing people. As a member of the medical squad, this was his specialty.

"Hey, you!" One of the soldiers cried out, pointing the weapon at Sout's back. Sout was currently kneeled over healing someone else.
"Don't ignore me!" The soldier jammed the gun into his spine, in an effort to get Sout to turn back. Sout waivered for but a second, but continued to heal the person.
"You..." Just as the soldier was getting ready to get serious, Sout stood up and turned around. The person he was helping seemed to slink off, but was alright.

"What is it?" Sout asked, adjusting his glasses that had managed to slide down his nose while he was hunched over.
"Get in line with everyone else, or die." He pointed the gun menacingly at Sout. Sout adjusted his glasses, looking at the weapon. He seemed pretty calm for a guy who had a gun in his face.
"Well, I'd think Uroburos would want all the people they could get... Guess you'd rather let the manpower die." Sout gave a shrug of his shoulders as he was ready to walk off. Maybe one of the superiors would stop him and allow him to get back to work. For now, this was his only choice. He wasn't able to fight this many people - his specialty was in support, and alone he would be a pretty easy target.

He now ignored the groans of people - the pain they were suffering, the blood they were losing. He started to step back towards the line instead of helping them with a rather content look on his face.

Sky vanished once the panic started to break out. Literally he had vanished into thin air. He was now standing on a rooftop a good ways up in the air. He pulled out a black jewel from his pocket and undid his collar just a bit more. Sitting around his neck hidden underneath his uniform was a chain necklace. The stone fit perfectly between two interlocking links and with that he tapped into his power. The process was painless, but it did make him stronger and a much more efficient warrior. From his briefcase he pulled out his assassination clothing. He changed quickly removing his jacket and shirt revealing a white undershirt. He also had to change out of his pants seeing as a stiff work uniform wasn't going to get him far in a fight. He had finished changing in under a minute, which he had practiced at to perfect. He transferred all of his weapons to their proper holsters and wished he had time to retrieve his sword.

Looking down he saw the Uroboros agents taking hostages. Finally Sky ripped off his eye patch and pulled his hood over his face masking it from view. Though his transformation changed his outward appearance it was just the physical embodiment of his murderous personality. So even if his hood was thrown away no one would recognize him, unless they of course were one of the other four super soldiers and of course their superior. Sky leaped off of the building and halfway through his free fall to Earth he teleported into a group of Uroboros soldiers. He managed to kill four before he became known.

He wished he could say the soldiers had a chance but he had only drawn two of his knives and none of them had managed to scratch him. There was at least ten dead bodies laying around him. Each time a soldier tried to fire their gun Sky would vanish on the spot and the bullets would either hit a wall or another soldier. He heard his codename muttered several times by the soldiers most right before they died. Even some of the innocent citizens were muttering his name though they were the ones who were awed and praising their good luck. They knew if all turned out right that the whole team that protected their lives would show up and save them from this evil.

Sky noticed one of his comrades Sout and smiled. This would turn out to be very good fortune for those who were hurt. Hopefully Sky's efforts would allow Sout the time needed to bring forth his own power and join the efforts even if it meant healing those who needed it. Sky's eye jerked to the left and got a flash of movement. Sky ducked and slammed his left hand into someones heart. The unlucky soldier had tried to get right behind Sky and kill him from a close range. It would have worked if Sky's eye couldn't process extremely fast movements and other such things and send them to his brain within seconds giving him much more time to react.

He vanished once again and appeared on the roof of one of the vehicles. "Come on Uroboros scum, lets play." Sky was starting to grow venomous as his murderous side relished the blood and gore. He crouched down and spun his knives in his hands now holding them backwards facing the street behind him. He would wait for the reaction of the soldiers and their first

As the blast flame roared from the market district.

Grabbing the table and overturning it from where it was. Ark rolled to the side of the table. Using the wood to deflect some of the flames. Upon that reflex his training and combat knowledge came into effect. Grabbing his Kendo Stick, a pulse of chakra would embue the sword with bichun energies. Rolling from beyond the table, he shook his head at all the dead and mortally wounded. Wishing he'd trained to apply his chakra to heal as well as attack.

Ark could take no pity on them, not now. The battle had come to the homefront and damned if he would be any soldier to stop them from destroying it.

"I promise your deaths will not be in vain."

Ark shifted into high gear heading down the street. A group of soldiers, as well as a strange creature. If memory served right, these were the rumoured humonculi projects. A faction within the human enhancement project. In each society on the planet, scholars and genome engineers worldwide. Have settled that humans infused with the natural magic of the planet.

The dark side of these pet projects of those contemptuous mad scientists. Are the humonculi, the black sheep of humanity. Rushing down the corridors Ark suddenly flipped over a security fence. Landing on his feet he could see and hear commotion of nearby Uroborous soldiers. In fact he witnessed civilians being carted into black vans.

Ark's deep green eyes flashed with anger. Running from the alleyway from against from nearby mortar wall. Gripping his kendo stick, with a calmed mind. Ark would compress chakra to the kendo stick. Ark quickly exerted a chakra pulse slashing forward with aforesaid kendo stick.

That would initially manifest a chakra shockwave. The blast flew at the soldier at an astounding 120 miles per hour. With a heavy amount of P.S.I Energy. So much so the soldier was knocked into a heavy brick wall and fell unconscious. As two more soldiers opened fire Ark rolled forward. Leapt to his feet and sending two more shock waves that rocked the soldiers with their comrade.

Running to the edge of the alleyway, Ark shouldered the wall tightly to conceal himself, from view. Holding the kendo stick down and listening behind his position. He heard two more soldiers and the humonculi. Though at the same time he heard Sky, and Sout.

Initially when he crafted what happened at first glance. Ark came to the conclusion that they had been spotted and identified. The blast was awfully close to Ark and Sky. It was either determined to incite panic and terror in civilians. Or to clear the two of them from the skirmish. In this war scenario the enemy lay in the enemy capitol. A dangerous scenario to play out, consider the Guardians had the advantage of home turf. They wanted to raid and ambush, leaving the enemy to essentially perform guerrilla manuevers.

With a coy smirk on his face Ark opened his mouth to taunt the enemy.

"The Uroboros is either ballsy or completely retarded to send you freaks here."

Ark would slink against the wall, his flat feet carrying him beyond the wall. As he would backtrack through the alleyway to throw off the enemy advance. Launching another Seiken Shockwave at the wall. He cut the soldiers off from following him temporarily. He head inside of a warehouse breaking the door with a shockwave.

Inside mechanical pieces and gasoline filled the machine shop. Not an ideal place to hold into, but it suited him just fine. Picking up some gas cans and rolling a canister filled with methane to the door. Remembering the standard code of old millitary morse code. Ark opened a gas can and dripped the liquid on the ground. From behind an old car chasis, when he reached the door. There were two very distinct knocks. Hopefully to be heard by Sout and Sky.

Anyone in Neo city was briefed the two knock message meant "get down"
As Ark ducked behind the steel chasis of the car. He flicked his fingers gathering flame together magically. When he would spread it to the gas, Ark ducked down and kept his head down. He hoped that Sky and Sout could react quick enough before the explosion ensued.

Sky heard the sound and registered it as one of the signals he was trained to recognize. He smiled at the bird creature. "No matter what you are I'll take you on and kill you." Energy began to wrap around Sky and his body vanished from the outer most parts in. The last thing to disappear was his robotic eye.

Sky was using his second ability to warp energy around himself to make himself utterly invisible. It also deleted any odor or tracking device that was placed on him. The energy acted as a shield that prevented anything except for sound from escaping, and Sky was skilled enough to move around without making a sound.

The first thing he did was throw himself from the car and take shelter behind a already broken wall. He heard the explosion Ark created and counted off in his head how long it the after effects were likely to last. He just hoped that both Sout and the bird creature survived. Sky really wanted to feel the blood of that enemy splash on his blade.

Of course, the stupidity of humans is what makes them human. He decided to reserve that thought for later. Perhaps he could make use of it later in the war.

Xi stood completely still, neither leaning against and object nor growing tired, and awaited the next move.

Sky moved forward making no sound. He examined his prey and smiled. A dark soldier made by science that could use magic. It was a formidable opponent, but one that could be matched by a guardian. Sky had knowledge of all the forms of magic, though had no talent to use many of them. He figured if he had applied himself he could have learned more than the art of teleporting and invisibility. Though he was happy just being a master of the two skills. Not many could do the things he did with the two arts.

One of the Uroboro's vans was still mostly intact, so it would serve the purpose of a preliminary attack. The explosion was a good way of seeing if the dark soldier was skilled enough to survive. This would press the creature to not only survive, but to use creativity and knowledge of magic to escape. Sky ran at the vehicle not bothering to mask his footsteps, because he was close enough to cover the distance in seconds. When he was within inches of the vehicle and could touch hit he threw out his hands and jump started his teleportation ability. It was difficult to teleport a large object and several laws applied to it. By using his energy from running at it and instantly initiating the teleport he minimized the total output of energy required to move the unmoving heavy vehicle. It still took a good bit of skill and strength, but no where near as much as if Sky had done it standing still.

Sky and the van appeared roughly five feet over the creature and gravity pulled the object down with great force. Sky spun in the air and felt the pull of teleportation take him back to where he wanted to go. Teleporting wasn't painful, but it was uncomfortable. He didn't know what to compare it too, but if he had to pick he would say it was the same as being condensed into a tiny airless space.

Sky watched from his previous position of where the van used to be letting his invisibility fade away his body becoming once more visible. If the creature was going to die he was going to let it see his smiling face. Though Sky really doubted that it would die from a preliminary strike to test its abilities.

And what was more, he had a good idea of how to use it. Direct intervention? Xi quietly sent that thought away for now. He would intervene if necessary. That was the only condition. It would be stupidity to attack for any other reason. He would not risk his own life for the simple life of a mundanely upgraded soldier that looked to be simply a mutated parakeet.
Xi once again stood still, emptying his mind and watching what was to happen next.

Ark knew his ability to support Sky in the offensive was important. However out of pure comradery he would only attack and support to draw attention. He wouldn't nescessarily go in line to make a direct kill. A calm breath was exuded from his mouth as Ark sat low in the carbon monoxide. He collected chakra from around him manifesting it to the blade. All of a sudden a green aura collected around Ark in a sphere. Thus Ark launched forward from the flames. A flicker in his eyes would come as he launched the kendo stick forward and sliced twice.

All of a sudden the freakish bird mutant would come under fire from three chakra shockwaves. Moving at a speed of over 120 M.P.H with an incredible 1000 P.S.I Ark would merely gauge the ark of the crimson barrier. This would not only give him the weak points in the structure. But in tandem give Sky a look at the weakpoint.

"You don't look like a soldier freak, you look like an over-muscled turkey."

Darting south from an engagement with his weapon Ark drew his side arm as he crossed south. Aiming the 9 mm silenced pistol, he judged the distance. And fired two round at the creature. To see if small arms were effective against it.
Ark would finish by hopping upon a dumpster. And thus flip onto the roof with skillfull ninjutsu training. The secret of his power lay in the power chakra manipulation.

Ark said through his wireless microphone on his coat. "He's all yours Angel, I think were being gauged by someone. Going to investigate 10-4."
The Uroborous were unaware of the R & D of the Guardians HQ. And thus they had a distinct edge in fighting together.

Ark had managed to scale from roof to roof in Neo City. Clutching his kendo stick in his right hand, and his 9mm pistol in the left. Ark jumped from the nearest roof where his eyes met to that of an enemy combatant who spot he and Sky. Curling his mouth into a rueful smile at the Uroborous Soldier. A quick draw of Chakra to his kendo stick compressed into a chakra shockwave. The wave flew at its full speed of 120 miles per hour with 2000 P.S.I

As his feet made to the air as he was about to leap to the roof of the building. The shockwave had sheared the roof with massive force. That sent ruble and shrapnel crossing into his opponents path. Knowing his opponent only had one way of escape. He fired the 9mm with perfect accuracy three times. One on the onset of the shockwave. The other to the left and to the right of the shockwave. At least one of these was sure to impact, Ark seemingly thought.

Landing on the roof another shockwave was launched forward. While he pushed the power of chakra down to allow him a flighting second. While suspended slightly in the air. Another shockwave was launched at his opponents feet. Ark seemed quite sure there was no way anyone could outrun this barrage.
But then again Ark was not entirely briefed on the full capability of the Uroboros Soldiers.

Suddenly, a bullet flew straight towards his head. By pure reflex, Xi raised a katana and deflected the bullet just in time.
Moments after the first shockwave had passed, another flew towards him, this one lower. Xi sheathed his katanas and braced himself, counting the milliseconds he had before he needed to act. This would need to be perfect. As the milliseconds flew by, they finally met their mark and Xi jumped high into the air, watching as the shockwave ran beneath him, inches away from his feet.

Ark had been astonished to find out that Xi had managed to evade his chakra waves. Although it was easy to tell on his face, he wouldn't let that stop him from finding a weakness. As soon as Xi had used his Telekinetic powers to deflect the chakra shockwave. Ark knew that there was very little he could do to eliminate Xi as a combatant.

Pushing chakra energy beneath him to give his body more energy. He took to the air and launched three more chakra shockwaves. One aimed for Xi's feet, one for his katana arm, and another in a wide arc to knock Xi off balance. Knowing he only had two more rounds in the chamber. Ark chose not to waste the ammunition just now. Thus at nearly point blank range as Ark climbed to Xi's height he fired a round at point blank range. On the inside of the length of Xi's katana.

"My compliments to your obvious skills there, my enemy I hope the rest of your comrades are as sporting in the war. You have a lot of nerve hitting us in our backyard. I am willing to bet that you planned this skirmish."

Whether or not Xi survived the onslaught of chakra, was unknown. However Ark still had his guard up ready to strike his opponent down. As his feet landed on the ground chakra was used to cushion his landing. As if he felt that another attack was pending, more chakra was infused to the blade. That Katana was a problem for him.

"I wish I had the Massamune, this might've been an interesting sword duel."
Ark silently contemplated but at the same time he wasn't convinced Xi was the only lurking Uroborus Soldier lingering in silence.

The air was not the best place to maneuver in. Xi needed to reach the ground quickly in order to win, especially when his opponent could stay aloft and move through the air much more quickly and easily than he could.

The next wave shot straight at his legs, impossible to avoid. All he could do was draw his legs in and let the wave shoot him backwards, quickly orienting himself in the air once more as soon as the wave had passed by. He had been fired across the street and was near landing on a building. Xi brought his legs out and landed hard on the roof, knocking loose bits of brick and concrete. He tried his best to minimize the impact it had on his body, using his telekinesis and physical form as well as he could. It had worked, easily enough. His control over his body and his ability to transfer the force of impact into other things than his body had reduced the impact well enough for him not to sustain any major damage to his legs. They still worked, if a bit sore.

The next wave came straight for his right arm, which he managed to split well enough that his arm could stand the force that pushed at it.
Just as suddenly as the last wave had come, another came behind it, cutting across his entire body. It blasted him back into the side of the building behind the one he had been standing on, collapsing the upper half of the building around him and leaving only his telekinesis to prevent debris from hitting him.

Xi quickly jumped up, using each of the walls of the two buildings he had fallen in between until he reached the roof of his initial perch.
There stood his opponent, who shot another wave directly at his katanas, which Xi held firmly in each hand.

Acting quickly, Xi held his katanas together in front of him and split the wave barely enough to allow him to keep his footing on the roof. The building behind the building on which he stood crumbled even more than before.

"My compliments to your obvious skills there, my enemy. I hope the rest of your comrades are as sporting in the war. You have a lot of nerve hitting us in our backyard. I am willing to bet that you planned this skirmish." His opponent smirked.

Xi's face remained unreadable, though a bead of sweat dripped at his brow. "I need not plan anything. Remember that. I have a mind power hundreds of times greater than your own and a discipline to control it with. No one will defeat me. You will join the others who have fallen before me."

Behind his enemy, Xi used his telekinesis to slowly raise a brick, holding it steadily for a moment and then thrusting it hard directly toward the back of his opponent's head.

For a second, Ark was barely aware that a brick was sent his way. Turning in an about face the brick was inches to his face. As he went into a fall lifting his Kendo Stick up. While pushing a chakra spike to the tip of the blade. The brick slamned into the chakra collection, and broke into pieces.

"Darn it!"

As pieces of the brick broke apart in Ark's fall one piece slamned into his head. While at the onset of the attack Ark fell on his back painfully. Feeling the brick slice a gash into his forehead. Feeling a concussion building as his head hit stone. A groan of pain escaped his lips.

While it was lucky his skull wasn't cracked open, the pain of the cuncussion. Seemed to push something into Ark that lay dormant. Feeling woozy and pain in his mind. His own power kicked in to an extent, at the condition of his mind. Thus a wild power stroke came into effect. Rolling to his feet his own energy increased. By a small increment of potential immediatly.

Ark ran toward the end of the rooftop, and launched the kendo stick forward. A percussion wave of curved energy launched for Xi. It was compressed with Chakra and a tiny bit of Aethereal Energy. As the cascade moved toward Xi it suddenly mixed with the Chakra inexplicably. All of a sudden an exothermic reaction occured. And a pillar of Aether and Chakra occured.

The blast resulted in a spire of energy mushroom clouding over the roof. The roof rattled and shaked, as the spire grew it seemed to touch the lower stratosphere. Feeling exhausted from the blow, Ark felt drowsy and drained. He slumped against his kendo stick, and quickly fell on the roof. The damage to the building was immense, the roof was all but gone. "Are we almost there?"
Prixus lit a cigar calmly, sighing. "No, kid. We've got... A few more minutes. Which are going to seem like hours if you keep this up. Here. Take a smoke. It might be the last thing you ever taste." He held out a cigar, which he had taken from his lockbox just before leaving the barracks.
Archos leaned away from it slightly. "Are you sure if I should?"
Prixus choked a bit on the smoke that came from his cigar as he began laughing. "You serious? Of course you should." He ripped the wooden tip off of the cigar and shoved it in Archos's mouth, lighting it quickly before he could get it out.
Archos coughed on the fumes, which caused Prixus to laugh more, as the entire transport vehicle erupted into laughter. Prixus slapped Archos on the back. "Good stuff, ain't it?"
Archos coughed and nodded, unable to see or think through the stream of tears coming from his eyes. The smoke invaded his lungs just as Prixus leaned in close and whispered, "You aren't supposed to breathe in the smoke, kid. Taste, then exhale. They're not cigarettes."
Archos coughed and spluttered for a while longer until he caught on to the strategy. The cigar tasted.. Terrible. As the vehicle stopped and the back door opened, he dropped the cigar to the ground. There wasn't a single taste in his mouth other than that of smoke and ash.
He pulled his sub-machine gun up to his shoulder and sprinted off, following the back of Prixus down the street.
"Where are we going?"
Prixus turned and put a finger to his lips fiercely. He then pointed off to a building, seemingly deserted to Archos.
"That ratty place? Why?"
Prixus began to raise his finger to his lips, but decided against it. "Shut up. We're in a danger zone. That's where we're going to watch out for the rest of the group and scope out the area. If any Uroboros show up, we put bullets in them."

Prixus crouched down next to him, along with the third team mate. "What do we do now?" Archos asked as bullets flew over their heads and thundered against the wall behind them.
"Explosives are truly a miracle, kid." Prixus pulled a grenade from his hip belt and pulled out the pin, pausing for a second. "Just watch." He tossed the grenade out the window and down into the street.

Archos pressed his back to the wall and then stumbled forward to the window and began firing again. A pain jabbed at his chest. Archos groaned.
"What's up, kid?" Prixus shouted over the gunfire.
Archos groaned again. "I think I've broken a rib."
Prixus nodded a little. "Get down, don't move much. I'll take care of you after we finish up with these 'boros."
The group of Uroboros slimmed until two were left. Suddenly, one of the final soldiers fired up into the window, the bullet flying straight through the air and punching into their teammate's skull.
He crumpled to the ground, lifeless. Prixus looked down to his comrade, then out at the two soldiers, and yelled. He gave a war cry that thundered out into the streets and he hefted his gun to his shoulder and fired down at the enemies and they fell.

The other remaining members of Cobra team hide themselves from the soldiers, falling back knowing the battle is a loss.

Treal gritted hear teeth at the arrival of WDB reinforcements. she then sent a message to the generals through the comm-link. "Generals, I'm afraid the mission is a failure. We're pulling out." she then turned to Czar, "We're leaving. things are getting too hot for us to handle." he simply nodded, complying with her orders.

Within moments, energy wings ignited from bracelet-like devices around her wrists and legs, and lifted up to the air and sped off. Czar followed in suit by making large leaps as they exited the city.

--------

Back with the three guardians, all their communication devices begun beeping. as they looked who it was, the Commander's voice came up. "Congratulations Team. you've been able to repel the enemy long enough to prevent any lasting damage. now return to base and get some rest, the troops sent will deal with the rest."

The commander then cut off afterwards.

--------

As the General and corbin entered the elevator, he received the news of Uroboros forces falling back. "Damnit!" Kane cursed as he punched the wall of the elevator. "Another failed raid." Corbin said.

Kane calmed himself down, clearing his throat. "It does not matter....there will be many other chances." he then made an evil grin. "For soon the guardians will meet their match...."

Neo Guardians!
Episode 2

Three months have passed since the Uroboros attack on the Market District. since then uroboros activities have been less rampant, but frequent. Dark Soldier attacks are reported at least once or twice a every week. and their numbers seem to shrink, which poses a threat to Uroboros.

However, at the same time, mass disappearances have been reported. military personnel in outposts and bases, and civilians across the world have gone missing, most suspect it's the work of Uroboros.

----------

Neo City, Metropolitan area

In the dead of night, the city is bustling with life. it's citizens unaware of most of the dangers currently lurking in the dark corners of the city.

From high above, atop of the towering buildings, a pale, manta-like dark soldier leaped from building to building, attempting to escape a pursuing WDB gunship. he turned back to see the ship still following him. he soon landed on the next building, ready to attack.

From inside the gunship, the neo guardians held on to the bars as the sliding hatch opened. "Target in sight!" the pilot shouted, looking back. "Get ready to drop before he gets away!"

Archos walked down the street, watching as the people on the street seemed to part to open way for him. It was a simple patrol mission. Suddenly, a helicopter came roaring into hearing range. "What's going on?" Archos shouted, resting his assault rifle against his shoulder as the platoon marched down the street. High above, the sounds of helicopter blades muffled any other noises within 5 city blocks.
"Up there!" Prixus pointed his gun barrel up at the rooftops, watching as a shape jumped all the way over the four-lane street to the building on the other side.
The platoon opened fire at the shape as it reached the building and crouched, waiting for the helicopter to come within range. Suddenly, the pedestrians on the street began screaming, and the drivers of vehicles got out to look overhead.
"We need to clear out the area. We can't have this kind of collateral damage." Prixus pointed to several soldiers in the platoon, motioning to them. "Get the civilians out of the area," he then motioned to Archos, "We need to get to the roof and give that chopper some support." Archos nodded and the two ran to the building across the street from the Dark Soldier and made their way to the rooftop.
As they reached the door to the rooftop, Prixus muttered softly to himself. "I hope everything works out." He turned the door handle and pushed the door open.

Sout let go of the bar slowly, using his sheer force of balance to keep himself held perfectly upright as he rested his hands behind his back. He looked over to the soldier with a slight smirk.

"My, you guys sure do like to give loud wake-up calls to the city, don't you?"

He gave a sarcastic statement as he looked out over at the target. His rapier dangled at his side lightly, seeming ready to be grabbed and taken into battle. Sout had already started to analyze his enemy - he started to wonder if that somewhat aerodynamic build would prove to become a problem during the course of the fight.

With a simple step of his feet, he allowed himself to slowly leave the helicopter. Falling gracefully, he landed a rooftop away from the target, already having his weapon drawn. He wasn't a combat specialist - but his blade and light arts made him as formidable an enemy as any for the one standing before him.

His eyes never left the target, as he quickly started to approach with his weapon drawn. He wanted to see the first attack the monster would do - the first action it would take in response to his presence.

Avalon and Xielon stood atop a taller building overlooking that battle that would soon come. The aerodynamically designed dark soldier would prove to be more of a pest than they Guardians hoped for.

A smirk crossed Xielon's face as he watched, perched atop the sharp point of the building tip that would impale any normal human. Avalon was standing atop a equally pointy tip as he too watched.

"This ought to be interesting," Avalon said as he crossed his arms and waited.

"Did you think it would be that easy to make a snack out of a Guardian?"

"My, my, what a voracious freak of nature you are."

Ark had come down right behind Sout on the roof of the building. This time his battle gear and weaponry were on him. The shine of the moon off his personal Massamune gave off a baleful incandescent light. While shouldered to his person was an M40A1 Assault Rifle. With a Spectre 40x Nightvision Scope. Compliments of the WDB R & R division.

"You've just been denied your meal, now prepare to bleed 'boros."

Suddenly the rifles muzzle lit up like a roman candle. Shooting deadly Incindeary rounds from half the distance on the rooftop. Capable of melting the strongest armors like a heated knife through butter. In the time since the first attack Ark had trained since then in the command battle simulator.

And in that time he had perfected a new technique whom no one had seen.
Hidding behind the dark urban colored optic camouflage. Ark seemed to blend in with the surrounding cityscape. Through a collection of well placed mirrors, some that bent light, and other that refracted it a favorable angle.

Were it not for him firing his rounds into the soldier. Ark would've had the advantage of stealth. However his anxiousness to fight since the Marketplace Incident, proved his undoing.

Ark had little time to react as usual as energy volts were launched. From the newest 'boros soldier, using a diving roll to escape the oncoming onslaught. He fired the rifle in his hands a couple times aiming for the beasts neck. In an attempt to silence it. Firing off three or four rounds of high impact incindeary rounds. Ark would note if one of the shots had hit home. Seems that the boros were still taking for granted that Neo City was open season.

"Sky this one's a little tricky, can you dot out his eyes friend?"

Somehow Ark knew that they weren't alone once more. In any case he suspected that more 'boros soldiers were prepairing to attack them at any time.

He like Ark felt as if there was someone else nearby so his usual paranoid self was checking. His eye would continue to check and relay the messages, this skill proved invaluable in fights.

Sky decided he would test the creatures sensory skills and reflexes. He put away his knife and pulled his sword of his back. He spun around moving towards the left to dodge another incoming missile, while simultaneously activating his power and transporting his body to the space directly above the creatures head. He swung his sword the instant his body was completely materialized and aimed his blade at the creatures red orb. The orb was likely to be well defended, which meant the creature was likely to have an amazing sensitive awareness if something came near it. This attack was likely to fail and mainly to test its defenses.

After watching his initial volley stopped by an energy barrier. Ark scoffed knowing they weren't alone now. He shook his head with a heated expression on his face. Channeling chakra through the rifle he wielded, a harmonic oscilation occured at the tip of the barrel. Energy was being pulled in from around the lifeforce of Neo City.

The real danger of this technique was if the barrel was compressed with energy. It ran the chance of exploding the amunition within the barrel. Knowing when to stop, to keep the rifle working was paramount. As Ark fused the energy to the bullet a quick glance was given after Sky was out of the way.

A grin came to Ark's face as the beast had no idea where he was. But now the rifle was shouldered and aimed at the beast from across the threshold of the roof. All of a sudden the trigger was pulled and a faster then sound pop occured. As the bullet trailed with the energy of the chakra. The amount of energy was extreme so much so Ark nearly dropped the gun. From the shear heat of the blast.

Setting down the gun in front of him. Ark resorted to clutching the handle of the Massamune. As he slid the sword from its sheath a loud cling of metal announced its arrival.

Ark hated seeing an innocent civilian being killed but knew that sometimes war made no one safe. A sigh came as he clenched the Massamune in his right hand.

"Uroboros is dispicable, they all deserve to be restrained above a tank filled with man eating sharks."

Shaking a head a body bag was rolled out of Arks napsack. And was hence put inside. Ark was one of the more sensible of the group. His master taught him sometimes there was no choice but to kill a friend. But at the same time he wished it weren't so.

Although something was odd to him. For a second Ark almost seemed to feel a hole in the the planets chakra field. Looking up to a rooftop paralel to the Guardians. Ark sensed a hole where energy seemed drained.

"You know Sky if I didn't know better I swear a feel a hole in the chakra around here."

Ark would turn around and face the building looking to the top. A quick thought came to mind as he gripped the Massamune walking outside the alleyway. Energy tendrils of chakra gripped the blade of the Massamune. Contorting, twisting, and manifesting to it. A great deal of it flowed from the corpse of the civilian.

Ark couldn't believe the amount of energy he drew from the innocent. As he released the energy it flew faster then before. And the energy arc was massive to boot. Flying at the roof at a range and speed of over 300 M.P.H Ever since the Market District Assault. Ark's powers seemed to increase when surviving death.

The shockwave slamned into an a black aura. And spun around it until both the energy and anti energy canceled each other out. Anything in that energy to energy cascade would be in trouble as the two would annihalate one another. Ark had a feeling like Sky and Sout that they weren't alone once again. Avalon laughed, "do they actually think they can break it," he thought as he slid a calm eye towards Xielon who seemed quite unscathed by the action that just unfolded before them. His eyes where locked on his target, the chakra user. His hands fell to the side of his body and he opened his mouth as energy began to form in his mouth.

"Xielon are you sure about this?" Avalon questioned, but without warning Xielon released the built up energy that traveled greater that the speed of the chakra users attack. The massive beam collided with the building that supported the Guardians for the time being.

Avalon followed suit, "should be fun," he added as a dark mass of energy formed around his hands. He pointing an open yet arched hand towards something. The dark energy wrapped around one of the industry sized air conditioning units atop an adjacent building and flung towards Sky, knowing that the Guardian would most likely vanish and appear somewhere else.

After the assault on the anti energy pocket Ark had already found there location. Of course now the building foundation was about to collapse. Ark looked over to Sky after the building began to shake. Grabbing his rifle Ark looked over to Sky and smiled.

"I'll paint the target for you Sky, I already saw them. One of them looks familiar from the Market District, he owes me a rematch."

Putting the strap of his rifle to his back. Ark gripped the Massamune with both hands. Drawing more chakra to the blade itself this time. However that wasn't the only thing that fueled the Massamune this time. From coming into near death experiences. Ark had begun to understand the near invisible force of Aether.

His master had trained him to know that it was both a blessing and a curse. Aether itself being the material that gave birth to matter and anti matter. The thing that seperates it and bonds it at the same time. Using a process to harmoniciall oscilate the substance. Ark found a way to compress chakra to Aether. But remain neutral, until exposed to another source.

After pulling forth the energy together in a compact point upon the blade. Ark quickly launched the shockwave of Aether and Chakra. The Aether was narrowly a sub micron thick, while compressed to the chakra. Rather then annihalating the anti energy field. The Aether acted as a veil, the energy swirled together. In this case the aether binded the anti energy to close in on the Uroboros. While the Chakra became heavier as more chakra pulled into it.

The meaning of this would basically keep them inside and isolated. If they broke the anti energy field. The Aether would be pushed by the Chakra, even touching Aether was a surefire way to have your atomic structure annihalated, if un trained.

Ark seriously doubt that these men had the knowhow to manipulate Aether. But to be sure he kept his stance and watched them to see what they would do.

"Sky, as long as you teleport inside the viel of aether, it won't effect you. It's caught in a state of flux"

"They can have it," Xielon replied quite emotionless as he vanished into a wisp of smoke, Avalon following suite transporting Xi as well. The veil imploded and sent out a shock-wave of energy that was sure to annihilate the building it was perched on.

Xielon, Avalon and Xi appeared atop another building still locked on their targets.

"Should we advance Xielon?" Avalon questioned as his hands still glowed the eerie dark energy, "not yet, more long ranged attacks first just to get a feel for things," Xielon replied as he looked up at the sky. Avalon smiled and began gathering energy with the circle he had created with his hands. The energy grew larger and larger until it seemed nearly impossible to contain it much longer.

He hoped they were ok, however his priorities were unclear for the moment. He felt compelled to stay and search for his comrades after letting his eye try and locate the enemy. Even if he had found the enemy he wouldn't be of much help in a fight. Teleportation exhausted him and he didn't figure he had more than two or three left in him. Plus he could feel his guardian form starting to resist his hold. His insanity would overwhelm him soon enough if he didn't switch back to his normal self. He decided he would wait it out see if his comrades appeared. If not he would get himself to his quarters and organize an immediate search party.

Ark was on the ground although close to the building. Quickly throwing up an Aetheral Force Wedge he couldn't see Sky or Sout but knew the shield would stop the debree cloud. As Ark's willpower began to visibly manifest itself, once emerald green eyes. Now became laced with a crimson mobious pattern.

The debris was split in half as the cloud of destruction became brightened. As the Dragon and Lepard united with a malevolent energy attack. The Aether burned on the surface as the wedge blew it over Ark's head. As he rolled into a kneal to avoid the flames. His will beckoned to sustain the shield, suddenly Ark's hand gripped the Massamune.

"Pae'Ril Ahren, evigrof ym snoissergsnart"

As the words he spoke in a kind of devotion chant. The massamune colided in the middle chest cavity and out his back. Blood oozed from his back, and the pain gripped him as he slumped forward. But the second that happened two ivory wings pierced through his back. Both began to exude a powerful energy. An X of black and alabaster rings appeared on his forehead. The Massamune was pulled out of his chest. A strange exotic particle known as Proto-Aether bubbled and refilled the chest cavity.

The Massamune blade turned white with power and heat combining. As the two beasts combined an energy attack against him. With a gallop the Massamune was lifted as the moonlight suddenly struck the Massamune. The blade was thrust down the middle of the energy resoundingly cutting the two attacks off. The energy wedged Ark into a moving slash gripping the Massamune with a mastery unforseen for millenia.

As Ark ran he suddenly jumped holding the Massamune cutting to the ends of the energy. Then while holding the Massamune in front of him with his minds eye. Ark let go of the blade and moved his white glowing hands to each the Dragon and Leopard. His voice suddenly screamed with pure unadulturated wrath.

"SEIKEN HA!!!"

All with the will and power combined into one glorious compressed zenith. A prismatic blue white flame exploded without warning while the creatures between Ark's grip. The two pillars of blue white flame scattered to the stratosphere. Where they quickly enveloped into two mounting pillars of deadly meta-matter bursts.

The entire city of Neo was alite with the power of the ancient planar's. The light would be seen for hundreds of miles. Before it would go out after a minute. When the Guardians would find Ark he would be found slumped over, while in his now realized winged guardian form. The Massamune still glowing with pure white flame.

The Camera Drone hovering above the sight was blown away in the blast. and came crashing down an alley way. from General Kain's Command Center, the screen blinked off as it was destroyed. "Ah, phase one complete..." he said. "by dawn, phase two begins..."

"Come in guard.....ins...co----in----I--re----com--in---" said the Helicopter pilot through the comm-link. the transmission was weak afterwards and he could barely get through.

Meanwhile, the World Defense Brigade's Mobile Air Base loomed over the Guardian's location. several choppers left the hanger and moved down the area.

From the Captain's Quarters. Commander Richards watched from his personal screen in front of his desk at the blast sight. seeing no sign of the guardians. he soon heard the doors slide open as Annia entered in. "Ah, Annia. you've come just in time. could you provide assistance in retrieving your teammates. we need to make sure no ones been severally wounded."

Sky heard the noise of the search and rescue team overhead. His human eye was still smarting from the brilliant flash of light. He was almost at the epicenter of the blast or whatever it had been. He stumbled the last thirty feet or so and found his teammate Ark, apparently unconscious. Sky noticed the new form, but he didn't bother worrying about it too much. Things like that had been predicted when the Guardian program started. They had been told their form could possibly change, though most likely only upon discovery of their inner strength. At least that was what they hypothesized.

Sky didn't have the strength to must a teleportation for him and Ark. He barely had enough for himself, he was using his last bursts of energy to keep himself locked in his guardian form. He located his battered com-link. He pressed the power button and synchronized it with the commander's private line. He sent up a distress signal the search team would be able to pick up and pinpoint, then he pressed the connect button. He waited patiently for the commander to receive the communication signal.

The dust and debris had cleared the two beasts sent at them by the 'boros were not even to be considered dust at this point. Ark's eyes slowly opened as he took in the area around him. Looking upon the two immense craters he had fallen between he pushed himself up. Looking down at the two white wings that adorned his back. A sigh came as he looked around there was dust extending around him. He couldn't even see Sky at this point.

"Sky I am here! What happened to me?!?!"

Slowly Ark pushed himself to his feet as he looked around with those emerald hues. He shook his head as he could make out a transport ship above him. In this form he felt lighter then air and a whole lot stronger. He took to the air with a great leap as his wings would carry him to the transport ship.

Sheathing the massamune in its scabbard he flew to an access door and entered inside. As he'd make his way to the bridge, all around soldiers and personal eyed him like he was from heaven itself. He came to the bridge containing a confused expression.

"Did you get that? I mean what happened to me. It's all blank to me. How did I get these wings?"

Of course he came to the conclusion this must be a form he had been repressing. But the confusion involved in his mind was most upsetting. It merely brought painfully to bear that he didn't know where he came from at all.

The XO of the Bridge, Captain Anderson. a man in his late twenties, he wore a uniform not of most WDB personnel, but of the Empire of Kralandi, one of the regional powers of the north. he approached the guardian shaking his head.

"I'm afraid the explosion was too bright and dangerous for the ship to approach." he replied. "However....those wings may be your long awaited guardian form. and as for your team mates, I received reports from the rescue teams that they've been brought aboard safely." he turned his attention to the crew. "Prepare to take us upward." he ordered. "We're done here for now." Anderson turned back to face Ark. "Report back to the Commander on the current events. he'll want know."

Ark reported to the Commanders quarters, he still couldn't dismiss those wings. Just as well, Ark could feel the energy and strength burning through him everpresently. Many people blinked or turned a cheeck just to look at those wings. Many shook there heads having no idea what to fathom or say. One soldier's jaw dropped in front of Ark.

"Dear Kami I knew we needed help but sending an Angel has to be a bit much."

Ark dismissed it wholly and continued on his way toward the Commanders quarters. He pressed on the button by the automated doors. And awaited for authorization to enter the room. As Ark came inside he watched the back of the commanders chair. He knew the surveilance area as that of the Neo City Oil Refinery. What he saw was a battle of Uroboros army fighting the WDB Forces.

In Ark's surprise he thought he could even see Uroboros Commander. Then when he watched as the Brigade was captured, he shook his head. Knowing that once again he would have to kill innocents. What hurt the most was that these were his allies. They were on the same side, without knowing what the Uroboros would do to them. It left a sour feeling in his gut, he didn't want to kill them. But knew he'd have to.

"Sir, there's something I think you need to look at for yourself. I can't really describe it."
