A Roleplay By Sigma:

Within our world lies another....one that co-exists with our world, yet cannot be seen by human eyes. It is known by legend as the Soul Realm. A world where spirits of the dead go, both good and evil.

It is also a world torn by two warring factions, the Soul Guardians, and the Death Apostles. The Soul Guardians, consisting of good spirits, fight to save both worlds from total destruction. While the Death Apostles, consisting of evil spirits, seek to destroy both worlds and create their own.

In order to achieve their goals, the Death Apostles search for someone they refer to as "The Child", or the Jewel of Life as they would call it. the jewel of life has the power needed to destroy both worlds and recreate a new plain of existence.

In amidst of a skirmish between Soul Guardians and Death Apostles in a city somewhere in japan. three humans with the strange power to see the dead will soon be caught in the crossfire of this secret war, and soon find out the jewel of life is among the three.

Terminology

Soul Guardians:
An Spirit Army consisting of Good and Light spirites. They are the protector's of the Soul Realm and the World of the Living. unlike the Death Apostles, most soul guardians appear more human. Their goal is to protect the Jewel of Life at all costs, prevent The Child to fall into the hands of the Death Apostles.

Death Apostles:
A Dark Army consisting of Evil and Vengeful Spirtes. Their goal is to create a new world using the Jewel of Life, destroying both worlds as sacrifice for their Dark Paradise. a major characteristic of the Death Apostles is each goes through a horrific transformation once they've been corrupted. losing their humanity. various apostles have different forms, as well as having the choice to appear more human.

Soulless:
Mindless soldiers under the Death Apostle's command. They are relatively weak, but still strong enough to take down a human, or a soul guardian in large numbers. they can be summoned at will be their Master.

Jewel of Life:
A child with mysterious power beyond both realms. The Death Apostles known this power can be used to bring about the end of both worlds.

Soul Machina:
A heavily armored form for spirits on both sides. when summoning enough spirital power. they are joined with their power to create a grand machine of destruction.

Familiar:
Companions of the Soul Guardians, good sprits, or even humans. they appear as various animals or creatures and serve their master with great loyality.

Personality: Brit is very enigmatic, but that guard has and can be dropped to show a very carefree lady. She can be overly protective about some things, which she says is only because she never had the opportunity to be a mother in life.

Bio: Brit's parents were rich so allowed her to pursue whatever she wanted in life. However the price was the chance to have a real family. She spent her childhood in different boarding schools pushing her intellect to the next level striving for some sort of acknowledgment from her parents. When she wasn't in school the maids and butlers of her parent's mansion were the ones that had to look after her.

She grew up only to resent her family and took off to university to follow the path of law. She excelled and joined a practice soon after she graduated. A few years later things changed. It was a cold fall evening when her life came to an end. It was no act of revenge from someone she persecuted or someone after her family's money. It was just a random act.

But that wasn't the end. She still often dreams of the night and the gunshot echoes in the recesses of her mind. This new 'life' has brought about more than she could have ever imagined. But being dead has its own problems as well.

With the factions Brit has chosen to not stand on one side or the other, but has rather decided that the Jewel of Life has its own benefits.

Personality: At first glance, he appears to be shy and anti-social, striving to be alone as he does his things and interests. When a person becomes his friend, however, he becomes talkative and more like a person they would want to be around. He has never truly been angry before, but remains cool and collected under heavy stress and pressure.
Bio: Kent grew up in a middle-class family, doing a small to fair share amount of work while he was young. For educational purposes, he was placed into schools well-known for their academic excellence performance. At the beginning, Kent typically resented school, since having to be around new people made him a bit uncomfortable. As he progressed through the years, though, he found it to be actually comforting and continued doing his best to excel.
Around his Junior year in High School, his mother and father, both loving and understanding parents, were caught in an accident, taking their lives away from him and his little sister. As such, Kent took ownership of their home and started a part-time job. Between taking care of his sister, working on his education, and dealing with the stresses of forced adulthood, he barely had enough time to do much else.
Before he graduated, Kent started to realize that he was able to see the dead. Though he couldn't explain how, he had been able to communicate with these spirits. The most life-affecting time was when he spoke to his dead parents, who suddenly showed up one day. From then on, his focus turned more to helping any spirits he could. Aside from this detour, though, his school and work performance remained the same.

Personality: Ever vigilant and always looking for a fight. Very protective of his allies. Always willing to put his life on the line for them.

Bio: Syth is part of a special group of guardians known as the Ravens. Their leader is the Raven Queen. He fights in her name and fights the darkness. The Ravens initiation involve a one on five battle. If you win, you're in. Syth is known as the Right Hand of the Queen. Many of the Ravens look to him as a guide.

Syth's former name was Thomas Vale. He died when he was nineteen in a car accident. He was returning home from the local college he went to. Though death was not the end. The afterlife required his newfound abilities, and he joined the ranks of the Soul Guardians, soon after recruited by the Ravens.

Occupation: Playboy in the guise of Mortals, but he does his part in hunting the Jewel of Life.

Skills/Abilities: Lord Bigstar has the ability to manipulate Love in all it's forms. Those entranced by his hallowing Kiss fall mindlessly under his control, though the duration of the effects of Love depend on how strong-willed his victim is. He can also disperse energy in a harmful state towards his enemies in the Shape of Rays and beams.

Affection Aura: All around Lord Bigstar thoughts of Romance and Love blossom forth, decreasing his enemy's concentration with every passing moment. If an enemy spends more than 5 minutes within the Aura's area of effect that enemy blushes, causing them to Miss more often towards Lord Bigstar.

Kiss of Love: Lord Bigstar, at close range, embraces his enemy, rendering her immobile. He then kisses his victim for over 20 seconds, after which the enemy falls in love with him and follows his commands. During those 15 seconds he is completely vulnerable and the Affection Aura wears off. If the enemy he kisses in an RPC, the duration of the Kiss depends entirely on the Player controlling her. This skill cannot be used on Male Characters.

Love Beam: Lord Bigstar concentrates upon his palm condensed energy in the shape of a ball then fires the energy straight forward in a beam of pure energy. Has a very short set-up time, Deals Light Damage and has Decent Accuracy.

Dual Love Beam: After striking a Pose, Lord Bigstar concentrates not one, but two orbs of energy into his palms, releasing the two beams ahead of him. Has a short set-up time, deals Moderate Damage and has Decent Accuracy

Condense Energy: Though Lord Bigstar isn't very keen on doing things ahead of time, he is able to dampen the area around him with visible energy, usually in the form of a Rainbow-colored Haze. Affection Aura is voided when Energy is condensed and the energy around him will eventually dissipate. The abilities Remastered Spark and Love-colored Master Spark set-up times decrease from Long to Short.

Master Spark: Going out in Full Power, Lord Bigstar expends most of his available energy within his palms, creating a Large beam of Light that obliterates all in it's way. Maneuverable, though the turn-speed of Master is very slow. Deals Heavy Damage and has High Accuracy, but has a long Set-up time. This skill is interruptable only to his oponents.

Love-colored Master Spark: Blending Love and Energy, Lord Bigstar unleashes a flurry of Stars in front of him. Any enemy NPC hit by at least 25 stars falls in love with Lord Bigstar regardless of Sex. Characters must be hit by at least half of the stars generated to fall in love with Lord Bigstar. Fires around 200-1200 stars in a very wide cone all around him having very low accuracy and damage apiece. Regardless of number, Lord Bigstar fires all stars in no less than 10 seconds.

Weapon(s): With his energy-based weapons, even bare hands can overcome a weapon sharper than blades. But to be on the safe side and to get lucky in any date, Lord Bigstar always carries with him a rose that never wilts to offer to the next lady he meets...and would inevitably die.

Personality: Simply put, Lord Bigstar believes he is too good for anyone. Another thing he holds to heart is that while he is rather handsome, he exaggerates his natural gift to an extent where he thinks he's a sure hit with any woman guaranteed. Rejecting him just means that she's playing hard to get and he would stop at nothing until they 'change their ways and love him'. But deep inside he plays this useless facade to hide the insurmountable brutality he harbors towards mortals, downplaying his need to kill with the false promise of finally being able to feel loved by anyone.

Bio: A disciple can never love. This question has alluded Lord Bigstar longer than the Jewel of Life has eluded him (This is the case because he's rarely interested in the Apostle's ordeals, doing only what he must, no more than that). Why do mortals love when only to die? Why do Mortals give up their lives for those who would inevitably forget them? Such mystery has drawn him to the Lives of the Mortals, though his confusion between true love and infatuation deluded him beyond the aeons he spent serving as a Death apostle.

Though he masquerades in a hopeless facade, Lord Bigstar knows the urge in him to slaughter needlessly. A deluded Apostle bearing the guise of a gentle-man in an endless quest to feel what every Human being wants to feel is what best summarizes Lord Bigstar.

Skills/Abilities: Axel is the typical Speed user: he takes advantage of speed to outwit and overpower his foes where raw power and intelligence fails him. However, Axel is nearly half as fast as any other Speed user despite being faster than ordinary humans at top speed, however. What Axel specializes in is 'acceleration':Upon making a sharp turn, Axel gains a tremendous speed boost for a short period of time, able to stack with repeated turning. Using the momentum gained he is able to smash at his enemies at blinding fast speeds.

Accel Turn: Compared to other speed users, Axel is slower by nearly 50%. However, upon making a turn he gains a speed boost, making him twice as fast as a Speed user on top speed for about 3 seconds. Every speed boost gained by each consecutive turn stacks nearly 3 times. Stopping immediately or preforming an attack sets his speed to 0 and slows him down for a second after he finishes the attack, adding another second for the amount of speed boosts he earned prior to attacking..

Accel Smash: Upon making a turn, Axel crashes his Air Guitar at his foes, dealing variable damage depending on how many consecutive turns he managed to stack within the last 3 seconds.

Accel Impact: Axel jumps high into the air, adding gravitational momentum to his current speed, allowing him to stomp with great force that could range from an earth-shaking step to a force that could sunder the earth and form craters. Deals moderate damage plus variable damage depending on how many consecutive turns he managed to stack within the last 3 second

Accel Z-Smash: A classic spin on a classic ability, Axel immediately makes a turn after making impact, then running headlong into the enemy for a follow-up attack without the slowdown from the initial strike. Deals half the damage the initial Accel Smash before this skill. Adds another Second slowdown for each Speed Boost stacked at the initial strike.

Bonk! Atomic Punch: Axel is no super-human; he too gets tired. So what does he do? He advertises a Power drink AND looks good while doing it to! Talk about killing two birds with one stone! Axel stops for about ten seconds, posing and talking in monologue about his power drink and all about the daily intake of Vitamin C in each drink. Surprisingly, the drink isn't all talk, because it gives Axel enough energy to do his more dangerous and daring abilities. Allows the use of the abilities 'Zangetsu' and Dual Shadow once per drink. User experiences an extreme lethargy, adding a base 3 second Slowdown added with the Attack penalty of the two skills respectively.

Zangetsu: Axel, upon realizing his moment of glory, takes a few seconds to say something very inspiring (But short!) words to his invisible audience, prompting the stage to change theme music to this epic song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WufHWSk4_kc). Then, he dashes forward and psyches the enemy with an immediate turn followed by an uppercut, sending his foe to the air. With the power of Bonk! Atomic Punch within his veins, Axel preforms an impressive and consecutive Accel Z-Smashes, equal to twice the amount of speed stacks he managed to earn within the last 6 seconds. For those who can't see themselves being thrashed by this attack, it looks alot like Ichigo's flashsteps when he's tearing apart an unimportant Story character in Bleach. Sheesh. Careful; it exhausts Axel to a degree that he would not be able to fight on for the rest of the battle: But it's not like any enemy can survive a thrashing that bad...right?

Dual Shadow: Well the title is a bit inaccurate: it's not usually limited to Two shadows, but whatever the case, it sure is confusing as hell. With the power of two nuclear reactors coursing within his veins thanks to Bonk! Atomic Punch, Axel moves so fast that people swear they are seeing two of him (Sadly, there is no overall increase in speed). However, he strikes so hard and fast that his beat-up victims claim there were two people wailing at them. After each successful Accel Turn he makes, a clone tailgates him, vanishing only after connecting with a successful strike or by being idle for more than 2 seconds. Axel can only have a maximum of 3 clones at one strike. Axel must actually hit his foe, otherwise his clones miss. Adds two second slowdown for each clone if he misses an attack. Each attack done within the influence of Dual Shadow becomes increasingly inaccurate if done within the last 2 seconds. Lasts for 6 seconds. Any clone that lasts with him after the time limit is up adds another 1 second Slowdown per clone.

Weapon(s): His Air Guitar isn't for all looks. This sleek, Ivory white model, complete with Fire side burn designs, is actually signed by the 18th best Guitar Player in this World! Well, other than the fact it's rigged with spikes all around and is durable enough to be swung like a mace, it's best if you stay away from it. Seriously.

Personality: He tends to try and steal people's spotlights. Flamboyant and a bit naive about the true nature of people, he sees the world in a basic 'Good Versus Evil' ultra Brawl where the Good Guys inevitably win. Right. Nonetheless, his beliefs drive him forward to the fight, undeterred by the words people say. He will protect the Jewel of Life, even if it costs him his life! (Corny yes, just like Axel.)

Bio: Alex had always been a good soul. Naive in the inside, strong and bold in the outside. So was it any wonder why he died bleeding in the streets trying to fend off a mugging? Not really. Though he was given a choice: to either rest in Heaven or to fight by the Guardian's side. Naturally, taking the usual side 'in the name of Justice'.

But it turns out, Justice is boring. Everytime he interrupts a fight the Death Apostles always flee. Why? Because his epic entrances always announces the possibility of being outnumbers. Refusing to see through this simple explanation Axel remains vigilant and willing to pull off his ultra-secret-super-awesome Entrance.

Personality: Caught in the crossfire between his two oldest brothers, Tyvarus is confused. He tries to be perceptive about this entire thing but is having trouble. Tyvarus when not worried about his brothers, is calm cool and collected. He has an outward personality, very open minded.
Bio: The youngest brother of three, Tyvarus has always had to prove himself. When his brothers chose different sides, he was torn in between and now hopes to find some way of ending this war without casualties.

Personality: Xavier is quite demented, set only on destruction. Xavier will do anything it takes to find "the child" and use his/her power to defeat the Soul Guardians and bring about a new world ruled by Death Apostles.
Bio: Xavier, the eldest of three, has chosen the side of Death Apostles and fights the Soul Guardians. His decision was based off his own wants and desires. He dislikes his brother Zuriell and considers Tyvarus weak. He wants to destroy, he wants to find the jewel and bring about the END.

Zuriell hopes to protect the jewel and keep it out of the hands of the Death Apostles, hoping to stop the war once and for all.

Bio:He seems to be a poor boy, his parents died shortly after his birth, but he was taken onboard by Zuriell, who trained him to controll his powers, and is he only other soul to know about his gift. he looks up to him, and wishes to be exactly like him when he is able too.

Bio:He was a lonely child, by choice, he liked to torture insects, he would bask in others pain. He would often be the fittest one in his classes, and would not turn down an oppertunity to flex his muscles, and show he is better than others, where his showwy-offy attititude comes from, And He LOVED to cut things, Paper, toys, plasticine, plants, People whatever, the idea of slicing through another and causing one thing to split or break into two delights him.
