A Roleplay By The Undying:

As the title suggests, this is the incomplete timeline for an RP I'm developing.

/=/ SC.X-241 (2091) A.D.
The American Empire, the last remaining bastion of civilisation, disintegrates under ecological pressure. The massive population of Earth's desertified terrain is plunged into chaos as the arm of the law shrivels.

/=/ SC.X-213 (2119 A.D.)
The influence of an old Wild West culture takes hold once again. Lawbringers start to take dedicated responsibility for small communities, while Outlaws start to take dedicated responsibility for themselves. The technology of destruction is upheld by necessity as old weapon styles are fused with modern ingenuity, birthing such like the gauss revolver and the bolt-action rail carbine. These become the cultural norms for the entire world, though formerly national cultures also create unique 'cowboy' substyles.

/=/ SC.X+0 (2332 A.D.)
Railroad space is discovered and incorporated into a method of quantum FTL travel. The desperate human race is finally capable of leaving the confines of Earth. Railroad space 'trains' take countless people to the distant stars hoping to persevere, to find a new home on a new frontier, and to evacuate a dusted homeworld. The Solar System is completely abandoned for fear of continuing ecological catastrophes on other in-system planets, leaving behind only the eccentric and the banished.

/=/ SC.X+1801 (4133 A.D.)
Mankind's Texas-style societies exist in innumerable star systems, on countless worlds. Space raiders and interstellar outlaws ply the black sky, free to flit from planet to planet in the pursuit of freedom. Law, as ever, is restricted to the isolated 'Sheriffdoms' scattered around the galaxy. Nations do exist, but are depopulated and desperate.

In this dating system, SC stands for 'Standard Centon' (the equivelant of an Earth year) and X syllablically stands for 'Exodus', from which a date may be represented as years before or after this event.
