Leslie Syrrix
And her pegasus, Serraile (http://i826.photobucket.com/albums/zz181/wooddragon9/pegasus/842c.jpg)

Half-Elf (Half-Human)
Age: 26
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 142 lbs
Occupation: Platinum Talon (see history)

History: Born into the church as it was, and raised by her father with little knowledge of her mother at all, Leslie grew up as a particularly loud young lady, whom her father believed would find a home in the clergy, and tried tirelessly to see such a wish become reality. Instead, though her best friend turned out to be a priestess of entirely prodigal standards, she ultimately rejected the call to prayerful service and instead worked to train, focusing on an entirely separate means of service (though still loyal to the church of Bahamut, all the same).
At the age of 17, Leslie was dubbed worthy of entrance as a squire in the Platinum Talons; an elite division of Bahamut's most gifted followers bent on acting as the "hand of [their] god". Though many of her fellow knights in the Talons had adapted their own style, Leslie elected to forego personalized regimes in favor of something so unsubtle that even her trainers were left appalled by how blunt her course of action in a fight tended to be.
Trained as a lancewoman both on the ground and mounted, Leslie was given a pegasus that had been magically-adapted to better suit her for what trials would no doubt lie ahead of her. In turn, she began training on flight-back following her approval to join the Platinum Order to begin with, and over the next two years mastered martial combat both on the ground and aloft on horseback. As such, she began carrying two weapons; a thrusting lance affixed to her pegasus' side (when not in use) which itself was forged attached to a locked gauntlet; and a glaive, clamped onto her back.
As part of her induction in the Platinum Order, Leslie was given a sigil that bears the spirit of an ancient dragon named Sur'Ridis Nareden'Shiia. Acting as her guide through her more gruelling trials, Sur'Ridis cannot take form, having been long-dead in reality and left to serve as a guide only. Leslie wears her sigil just inside of her left shoulder, visible above her armor and marking her clearly as a Platinum Talon to anyone who might see.

Abilities: Though Leslie is a tenacious and outright fearsome opponent on pegasus-back, she is no slouch on the ground, either. In flight, she has mastered the hit-and-run approach, training through an empathic connection with her pegasus to perfect a flight pattern that would land her within striking distance of her target only long enough for her to drive it down with her lance, and in nearly no time at all take off straight back up, ensuring at all times she is beyond reasonable striking distance. Though this may leave her vulnerable to what opponents can still reach her from dozens of yards in the air, the sheer brutality of her attacks in such a diving manner have been known to outright crush numerous opponents reportedly "not to be trifled with".
On the ground, Leslie prefers her glaive - and frankly has difficulty effectively wielding her longer lance through its locked gauntlet. While her best defense in the air is to simply remain out of reach or to direct her pegasus away from oncoming assaults, on the ground she takes to a more evasive approach. Her aggressive maneuvers tend to be more limited, often slipping just outside of the reach of one attack only to return with a sweep of her weapon to match. As she is not limited to the mobility of her pegasus, however, she can be much more evasive, often dancing around a skilled opponent's weapons for many minutes on end before putting them down, allowing her to take advantage of every available opportunity - though nearly at the expense of all else.
Her prowess in magic is minimal; aside from a blessing imparted by Bahamut himself on those who serve (which, frankly acts as a bestowment of healing, be it on herself or another), she has no real capacity to invoke magic of any caliber, instead allowing her sheer skill and martial prowess to speak for her when threatened.

Personality: Leslie embodies two traits she believes to be definitive virtues present in the Platinum Talons; Freedom and Service. Though she takes her assignments seriously to a tantalizing degree, she also holds to a code of honor that strictly forbids conforming as much as it forbids malevolence - in other words, she is a benevolent soldier, but she soldiers her own way. Though she does have the capacity to have more deep and meaningful conversations, particularly with any companions she might find herself among, these are ultimately infrequent, but often she works to know others long before opening up to anyone else.
