A Roleplay By AeRaShin:

"Geez!"

The sun had risen just an hour ago, and the air still had the morning chill to it. It was mid-Autumn and the winter was come fast. Haru was never one to complain, but she was very warm in her bed. She rubbed her arms, trying to warm them and huffed, watching the small ball of white rise in front of her. She was supposed to meet with her team for a mission or two, but she looked left and right and couldn't see a single soul. Haru tapped her foot impatiently and leaned against the railing. They were to meet at the bridge over the koi pond. The railings had lost almost all of their red paint, and she wasn't sure whether it was safe to lean against them or not. Supposedly, the bridge had been their since the sixth hokage.

Haru furrowed her eyebrows and sighed. She was always punctual, but she knew the time was right because her sensei said to be on time enough times that she wrote it on her arm to remind herself. She was thinking it could've been a joke, but even if it was, then shame on him and the other two. The only female, genin, and youngest shouldn't be sitting in the cold waiting for her teammates only to find out later that it was a joke. She hardly thought so, but it was worthwhile to suspect it. She didn't really know her team very well, and a lot of the girls at the academy would do something of the sort. They pretended to be her friend, asked her to wait somewhere, and they never showed up. They always had an excuse the next day, and Haru would let it pass. But after about the tenth time, she decided girls can't be friends with each other.

The genin pulled her hair back into her usualy ponytail, though it was keeping her warm. She could feel the goosebumps rise on the back of her neck, but nonetheless she did whatever she could to expose her skin without stripping. She figured if she got used to it then, she'll be prepared later if it decided to get even colder. While doing so she hummed a tune she once heard while she was being privately trained. The weight of her spear on her back felt heavier for some reason.

As soon as Haru began to hum her tune, a figure faintly appeared in the distance. At first, his appearance was difficult to determine from a distance. As he drew closer, however, Haru could easily tell that it was one of her teammates, Mitrian Hyuuga. As he reached the old bridge, his light-purplish eyes gave a glance to his teammate, before he closed them without saying even a hello. With a few steps, he leaned his back against the opposite railing, his closed gaze down at his feet. He wore his usual attire for most days, though his original kunai pack was missing, instead replaced with a deep black pack. With a sigh, he began to wait by Haru's side for the others...

"Moooorning" Souma said with a brief wave of his hand as he stepped on to the bridge. From head to foot Souma had short, flat, brown hair that was an even length around his head. The familiar green jacket awarded to those above Chuunin rank was around his chest. His arms were sleeveless however he was wearing a pair of black, fingerless gloves. His trousers were black and baggy with a black pack attached to his right leg and of course he wore a pair of black sandals on his feet. Most notably he had a row of three hooped earrings on each ear.
"You're late" Haru said to him
"Actually I was early..." Souma replied rubbing his chin, "but then I remembered that Sensei had said he was going to the Paradise House last night"
Souma didn't say it but inwardly he was cringing at the thought of his sensei sitting in a seedy bar sorrounded by escort girls trying to rob him of his cash. For all his fame their sensei truly was a pathetic man at times.
"So I took a shot in the dark and figured he was probably hungover and unlikely to get up in time" Souma finished explaining. Then he turned around and looked into the distance from where he came from. "Kyouichi-sensei! Come on!" he cried before muttering "lazy bum..." under his breath.

Slowly a taller and older man was walking down the bridge towards them. His head was hung low as he walked in a tired slouch, he lifted his hand to his mouth and inhaled from the cigarette resting between his fingers. He was dressed in dark blue trousers and sandals. He also wore a dark blue, long sleeved shirt but wore a baggy brown waist jacket over the top, an emblazoned lightning bolt on either shoulder. On his hands he wore appear of brown and gray, fingerless gloves that ended halfway between his wrist and his elbow. As he neared them he stopped in his tracks and slowly craned up his head, revealing a irritable scowl under his long, bushy, black hair which seemed to spike off to one side, held away from his eyes by a Konoha headband. He exhaled the smoke from the cigarette.
"Yo" he said simply. He then looked around and gave a wise yawn before shivering. "Whose idea was it to meet this early in the morning...it's freezing"
"Yours" Souma replied with an annoyed scowl
"Oh..." Kyouichi sighed, "Well you guys should know better than to listen to me...guys like me are unreliable"
Souma practically fell on the floor in shock as the words escaped the mouth of their sensei, the man they were supposed to rely on above all.
"Anyway enough of the chit-chat" Kyouichi began, suddenly all straight-to-business. He tenderly gripped the Katana attached to the right of his waist as he spoke. "We have a retrieval mission. Our destination is between the Wind Country and our Fire Country. In the River Country we will rendezvous with our client who has documents she wants to entrust with the Hokage. This is an open and shut mission, we shouldn't have any problems, got it?"

Haru was slightly annoyed by the fact that her sensei just said that he was unreliable. How childish of him. Haru wasn't one to keep her thoughts locked up inside of her, but since he started getting serious, she felt that she should at least let him finish. She tried not to breathe in the smoke from her sensei's cigarette, but failed. So instead, she tried to ignore it.

"Tsk, geez." she muttered. The young Itsuki hated the sort of missions. Not only were they almost always too simple, they had to ensure the saftey of a few pieces of paper. What a blast. Her thoughts dripped in sarcasm. She was one-hundred percent used to the cold at that moment, but the goosebumps had yet to disappear. Haru stood up straight, figuring the rails of the bridge were going to snap at any moment, and she gripped her spear casually.

"Can we hurry this one up?" she blurted impatiently.

---

Kyousuke was sitting in the corner of the Akatsuki hideout. It was somewhere on the border of the Fire Country and some small insignificant country. They had occupied a mining cave that had long since been abandoned. The many labyrinths and trenches made it difficult to manuever through it unless you were a member of the Akatsuki, who knew shorcuts throughout the entire cave. However, Kyousuke in particular has a hard time remembering such shortcuts and usually ends up taking the long and difficult way through. It's extremely hard to believe that he helped revive the Akatsuki. He was shining his taller-than-him-broadsword, smiling to himself in the reflection.

His blonde hair was tousled and obviously not done in a presentable way, and his mossy green eyes were fixated on his sword. However, every once in a while, he would get distracted by the other members that were lounging about casually. It was about the twentieth time looked up when he realized that his partner and leader was not there. So he chose to ask (annoy) the closest person next to him, Simora.

"Na! Simora-baachan! Where's leader-tan, hmm?"

Mitrian opened his eyes as the team's sensei spoke about the mission. Another low rank mission... Still, the chance to gain experience, whatever the size amount, was enough to let him simply finish the mission specs. With a soft sigh, he straightened himself up, turning his blank half-eyed gaze to his sensei. With his gaze where it was, he waited for Kyouichi's command to head out.

Jaso Roaru was almost immediately behind Kyouichi. Kyouichi stopped his speech, and it might have been that he was practicing his chakra control, when he stepped from behind Kyouichi, the other Leaf ninja startled alittle bit.

"My name is Jaso of the Hidden Mist Village. Ya'll might've seen me around. I have been given the job of guiding ya'll in the hope that ya'll will make it to the River Country without to many bones broken, and I get some training along the way as "payment". Not like I need it from Leaf, but I am open to learning."

Jaso's contempt for this job ripped from his core.

I can't believe I got suckered into this job. I am going to have to baby them by the looks of this.

Haru watched as Mitrian stood with his half-eyed gaze. She always wondered what he was thinking since he wasn't open about it like she was. Though, she didn't like prying because she'd rather be on her team's good side rather than their bad side. She jumped a little when an unfamiliar voice spoke. She hadn't sensed anyone approaching them, and it was a bit surprising. She'd seen the older boy around before, though she never took him into consideration since there were lots of people in the village, not just him.

"What do you mean by not needing it from the Leaf?" she smiled, but she wasn't really smiling. It was one of those fake smiles girls do. She wasn't going to let him talk crap about her village, not that she officially lived there. "And what's this breaking bones stuff, huh? I think you should just worry about yourself because we don't need any help from you." Monotonous and straight to the point. She was usually the instigator so her team shouldn't be surprised of the way she talked back. Haru was taught to say whatever was on her mind. She was about to add that she would be fine on her own, but she didn't want to disrupt her trust with her team.

She placed her hands on her hips in a very feminine way and scowled at the other boy. Obviously she was not going to be able to get along with this Jaso boy, and she didn't want to. She finally held her head high and looked the other way, huffing.

"Can we please get this mission over with? Without the extra baggage."

Hayato slowly opened his eyes, it took him a few seconds to get used to the light, he stretched a bit and stood up. He had been meditating for two hours now, so the rest of the group should all be awake by now. As he walked out of the room his arm lashed out to the side, a small needle flew out and inserted itself in a small needle cushion "Good" he said with a small smile and walked out the door. The maze like tunnels inside the abandoned mine that he now called 'home' was no longer difficult to navigate through, he had already memorized all the passages except for a few unexplored ones, so it didn't take him long until he reached the main part of the hideout. Kyousuke and Simora was already there, but the leader was no where to be seen "Good morning" he said with a kind smile and bowed his head lightly towards the two fellow members.

"Enough" Kyouichi growled, his eyes slitted and grumpy, "You brats are giving me a headache...or was that the sake...?"
Kyouichi seemed to be off in a daze for a moment but then snapped back to reality and looked to his own student, Haru. "Whether anyone likes it or not he is signed to this mission and is part of our team. You will work together or I'll tie you to a tree and leave you there." Kyouichi had a way of making these threats seem extremely serious. It was usually hard to tell when he was being sarcastic or not. "and you" he continued as he turned to Jaso "I don't care how 'big' you think you are but i'm the leader of this group and if you try to stand taller than me i'll knock you back down a few inches. I'm not a patient man and I that superiority bullshit might fly with your own team but if it effects this mission I'll kill you myself, are we clear?"

Kyouichi waited but everyone seemed to be silent. He gave a silent "hmph!" and then began to walk away from the bridge and into the forest. As he walked off he called ack to the team.
"We'll take the main path as far as we can and then we'll split into the forest. Mitrian, if for any reason I become unable to give orders you are second in command. Let's move"

Mitrian stood silent as he listened to the 'guide' and his teammate's words. He partially understood her concern for not caring about this new guy, but he also partially understood the purpose for the guide's statement. As soon as Kyouichi growled for them to stop, Mitrian's attention went back to his sensei. For a moment, he almost smirked when the two were getting talked down, but he remained with his apathetic expression. When Kyouichi began to walk off and state his last sentence, Mitrian gave a silent nod. To be honest, Mitrian never enjoyed acting like a leader just because too much responsibility was needed for the task. Since this was supposed to be a simple mission, however, he made no objection on the matter. With a silent sigh, he began walking after his master, bypassing the guide Jaso without a single glance.

Jaso shrugged off both of the Leaf ninja that actually spoke to or about him with an emotion bordering on arrogance. As the Leaf ninja team leader/sensei walked off towards the trees.

Jaso mumbled "Jackass" just out of hearing range.

"I am not one of your weaklings. There is a reason why my village has the nickname of 'Bloody Mist'. "

Simora's image phazed out a little bit when she giggled, one that did not show in her feral eyes. She enjoyed being with the strong, and the collection of people she is with ,for the moment, is.

"Morning, How goes the dank cave? Or plans for the Sea Country are coming along well, and the shrines on the nearby islands might be of some use to us."

Despite her outmost respect for Kyouichi, she was not going to cooperate with this Jaso guy, unless she absolutely had to. She pouted for a moment and stuck out her tongue behind Kyouichi's back. Haru didn't take her sensei's threats lightly, of course, but her body told her no way she was going to get along. She did smirk, however, when her sensei talked back to Jaso. Even though she got a miniture lecture, it made her happy that he was getting one too. Kyouichi gave the orders, and Haru became serious. She always did when it came to missions, no matter how simple. So without another word, she bgan to follow her team.

Haru sighed, and unwillingly mumbled, "Might as well hurry. Don't want to get left behind now, do you?" Her arrogance seeped through her voice, but she was otherwise calm. She wasn't going to let a single eye off of him. Even if her sensei and teammates were okay with it (which she highly doubted), she sure as hell wasn't. The autumn wind sent chill down her spine, and her spear felt even heavier.

---

Kyousuke nodded back to Hayato as he entered the dark cave. The few remaining crystals were illuminated, and in the far off distance, you could hear other members sparring. Kyousuke was one of the younger members, so it was strange for him to see older members, such as Hayato. The elderly are not common for his era. Still, he respected him since he was very formidable. He noticed Simora giggle from where she was, and he smiled widely at her. He liked her because she was one of those rare female members.

"Nah, Simora-baachan. Where's Leader-tan?" he asked again. Hopefully like the first time, she didn't notice him calling her grandma. He liked her, but yet he was too dense to do things right to be on good terms. What a shame. He always called people older than him baachan (grandma) or ojichan (grandpa). He thought that was the rules, of course.

As the group travelled through the vast forest regions of the Fire Country they had began to pick up the pace, having long left the pathways and ascended into the tree tops, hopping from branch to branch with expert precision and speed.

Kyouichi lead the group at the front. He had been silent throughout the journey which wasn't anything from the norm. The only time the Jounin had a tendency to run his mouth was when he had something to complain about, which was more often than not actually. However when traveling he was usually very quiet. Despite this only being a simple collection mission it was still ranked as B, simply because of the threat involved. It was possible that nothing would occur, but it was equally possible that enemy nations had caught wind of the transfer and would sent their own force to steal the documents. These were harsh times and as a Jounin he had heard the whispers of approaching war. Yet still this was not of his concern, his mind was on his team. They were skilled, even for their age, but their attitudes were the problem. Could they work together like they ought to? Only time would tell. For a long time Kyouichi had been an advanced Jounin who only took on difficult missions, this squad was the first team of students he had taken on. As for his own experience as a Genin it was a much simpler one.

"Yoshi-sensei! Can't we take a break, I'm tired!" A young Kyouichi whined as he walked at the back of the sigle file line the team had formed, his arms resting behind his head.
"We've only been walking for an hour" came the irritable voice from the young man with jet black hair, Uchiha Kaisuke, "You lazy ass, Kyouichi"
"Like you didn't already know Kai" Kyouichi replied, "What can I say? I'm a creature of comforts!"
"Ayaa" Sighed the young girl with blonde hair who was walking next to their Sensei, a silver haired man. "Don't you boys ever stop arguing?"
"Whatever Misaki, me and Kai are just shootin' a breeze! Can't a man talk smack with his buddy?"
"Can't a man walk 1 hour without whining about it?" Kai asked with the confident smirk that seemed to be customary to the Uchiha clan. Kyouichi glared at him for a moment and then laughed.

For all of their differences he and Kai had been best friends. Kyouichi was renowned for being one of the laziest ninjas back then. Kai on the other hand was a hard working prodigy of the Uchiha. A slacker and a soldier who became the closest of friends. To this day the only ninja Kyouichi feared fighting was Kai.
For a moment Kyouichi glanced back at his team. Did they feel the same? Would they look out for one another when it counts?

Souma looked ahead at his Sensei who had just looked back at them whilst they were on the move. No sooner had he turned his head back had a barrage of Kunai slammed into his side and knocked him from the branches, crashing along the floor in an unconscious heap.
"Kyouichi-sensei!!" Souma cried as he dipped down from the branch he landed on and descended to the ground. He dashed towards his sensei but before he could reach him a dark clothed figure had met the gap between them. Souma instinctively leapt into the air, his legs curved back before he span around upon reaching the figure.
"Konoha Senpuu!"
As he spun around his leg whipped out and his back leg connected with the raised arm of the figure who was grinning maliciously. Then with hidden strength the man forced him back, causing him to flip and land roughly on the ground, skidding back along the dirt on his feet.
"Haru! Mitrian!" He called, "Is this guy the only one!? are there more?"

------

Meanwhile at the Akatsuki hideout a dark skinned young man emerged from the shadows of the cavern wall he had been resting against, looking across at the other members who had congregated to chat.
"Keep it down!" He snapped irritably, a distinct growl at the end of his punctuation. As he stepped into the light they could see he was wearing a baggy red shirt with yellow markings and a wide collar. His shorts were black and mached the high top style sandals on his feet. Fingerless gloves covered his hands and his feral eyes were a bright shade of yellow.
"You guys are annoying!" Kiri said finally, showing a deep hatred even for his comrades.

Mitrian followed his team and sensei through the trees with the same level of quiet he had shown from the beginning of the day. At one point, he saw how Kyouichi looked back at the group, which caused Mitrian to look towards him. Almost immediately, his eyes widened a bit as he noticed several kunai appear from the seemingly nowhere and slam into their sensei's side. Souma had cried out Kyouichi's name, and had dropped to the ground level, which immediately Mitrian followed suit. Landing, he watched as Souma attempted to rescue their sensei, but was stopped by the ninja assumed to have thrown the kunais. Quickly, Mitrian opened up his own kunai bag, and pulled out his own specialized kunai. He then watched the enemies' movements before he began to calculate a plan.
"Haru! Mitrian! Is this guy the only one!? Are there more?"
Hearing Soumi request information, Mitrian closed his eyes for a single moment before opening them, activating his Byakugan. Scanning the area with his new vision, his teeth grit for a moment.
"We've got four enemies in total, Souma," he said as calm as he could. Heh... Finally he actually spoke. Ready to fight, Mitrian began to use his second-in-command privilege. "Souma, keep this guy occupied as much as you can!" Turning to Haru, he said calmly, "Follow me to sensei, and protect him." Looking to Jaso, he began to say something, and then stopped. Shaking his head, he simply stated, "Do what you will, Jaso." As he spoke, he ran towards his sensei, his kunai ready to deflect anything that came his direction.

Haru glanced up at Kyouichi the moment he did the same. It was a little weird, but because she didn't have the energy to say something she jammed her mouth shut. For some reason, she felt tired since early that morning. She knew she wasn't sick or something. Maybe it was stress. Yeah, that had to be it. Haru would have pondered on the subject a bit more, had several kunai just pierce her sensei's side.

Her onyx eyes widened when Kyouichi fell, and she followed Souma and Mitrian to the ground. As she descended, she could feel the murderous intent of an attacker behind her. She reached for her spear, whipping it out in time to block another kunai attack. It was difficult for her to manuever in mid-air. She heard Souma's question from down below her and snorted as she regained her footing on a nerby branch.

"Hell yes!" Her voice was a little irritated, but it was otherwise calm. She wasn't going to worry about them. The attackers had to be no more than chuunin. Rank doesn't mean anything when you're on a mission. As long as you're stronger, you'll be victorious. Or that's what her clan would tell her as a child.

Haru was about to activate her Ryuugan, but figured she wouldn't use it unless she had to. It used some of her chakra and she didn't want to tire out before they even got to the River Country. Besides, that Jaso guy would get cocky again. She glanced down to check to see if her team was okay, however while she did so, her attacker disappeared. Probably to regroup with his buddies. So instead of recklessly chasing after him, she followed Mitiran's orders and went to protect Kyouichi down below.

When her feet thouched the ground, she quickly ran toward her team. She noticed Jaso, but temporarily forgot about her disliking him. She was in a teamwork sort of mood, and she wasn't getting out of it until the enemy was completely taken out.

Jaso traveled behind the group of Leaf ninja. The pace set was a comfortable romp. His mind traveled about, and he noticed the death stares of dislike from Haru, but he just shut her off.

Sooner rather than later, Jaso is snapped out of his comfort zone when Kyouichi got hit in the side by a few kunai. Jaso was impressed with the speedy transition of leadership, the quick orders, but did not like the indecisiveness in not making him apart.
Aparently, he does not know what I can do or does not know what "leader" means.

The Leaf squad stopped in a protective circle around their sensei. Jaso stood on the edge, and snapped to an idea.

"Souma back up for a sec I am going to lay down some cover. Water style: Hidden Mist skill"

Jaso sags alittle bit as a large fog rolls across the forest.

"That was a little more difficult to do that I thought. I almost did not have enough water around."

Jaso grabbed a kunai knife from his pouch as the battleground quieted down alittle bit. There was a few projectiles flying near them, but they were either to wide from their target or easily dodged or deflected.

"So Mirtan, Mitrain, sorry what are we going to do. We can't just sit here. The fog is only good for so long"

Mitrian noted the effectiveness of his orders and, while he didn't give Jaso a specific command, he knew that the first command to allow him to note what kind of chakra user Jaso was. From his first move, Mitrian was able to gather that he was a Water jutsu user, though he expected there was more to him. Looking around calmly, he then said in a quiet tone, where only his teammates could hear him. "Listen... We're going to attempt to separate these enemies from one another. Souma, there's one to your immediate right on the tree limb. Haru, you've got your target straight ahead in the shrubbery. Josu, yours in hanging on the tree a bit to the left. When I give the signal... attack."
Upon his last sentence, Mitrian had reached his empty hand into his kunai pouch again, and pulled three more specialized kunai out. Standing in a diagonal spot, he quickly chunked all four in the cardinal directions rapidly, each one sticking either in the ground or tree close by the targets. Once he had thrown them, his hands quickly moved into a unique handsign of his onw. "... Erupt." Immediately, the forest filled with commotion as his kunai exploded. As dirt flew into the air, and tree bark and limbs began to fall, the four enemy ninja became visible in view, thinking that they were about to be hit by another explosive. "Now!" Mitrian said quickly, as he shot out of the mist towards his specific target. The ninja was distracted by the explosion, and thus didn't notice Mitrian's location until he was right on him. In a quick succession, Mitrian used his fighting style Juuken and got in five successful attacks before the enemy fell to the ground away from him.

Souma cursed as he crouched in the layer of mist his makeshift teammate had created. Whether he had meant it or not the misttechnique was perfect for Souma's next strike. The crafty young ninja slapped his hands together performing seals for his next attack. He hoped it would work. If these guys could take down Kyouichi then there was no telling what they were capable of.

Alerted by the eruptions, Souma's opponent was on the move. Suddenly without warning Souma had emerged from the mist and dashed towards him angrily. The Ninja smirked, well prepared for such a hasty attack. As Souma lunged forwards the enemy ninja spun on his heel and stabbed Soumna in the side with a Kunai. As the blade pierced Souma the ninja's eyes lit up, as instead of cutting him his kunai simply phased through him. He looked up to see another copy of Souma He pushed his arm through the first copy and flipped back from the descending second one. He looked around, where was the real one? Fear began to envelop him as his shifty eyes began to notice that one by one, clones were emerging from the mist all around him.
"Oboro Bunshin No Jutsu" They all said in unison, "Which one is real...by the time you find out..."
The Souma clones all went at a sprint, each of them lunging and leaping at the ninja with a barrage of various attacks. Fearful that one would land the ninja tried to avoid them all but was overwhelmed by the numbers, each time he defended the offending clone became a shroud of mist until eventually he could not see past his own face.
"...You'll be too late, Konoha Shofuu!"
As the remaining mist clones disappeared the real Souma emerged at s sprint through the mist, crouched low as he became inches from his opponent, bringing his leg up in a swift and powerful, vertical kick to his chest, sending him flying back through the air. Souma was not done yet though, he'd make these guys pay for killing his sensei. His hands became a blur as he performed the neccesary seals.
"Katon: Hosenka no Jutsu!" he bellowed before a barrage of flames erupted from his mouth, swarming around the airbourne opponent. For a split second the flames illuminated the ninja, who was dressed in black gear with dark blue hair and a headband connected to the Hoshigakure ninja. The emblazoned star symbol was unmistakable. The light of the flames also revealed a confident grin on the man's face.
"Fuuton: Renkuudan!" The Ninja said as he performed seals midair. He heaved in a breath of air and expelled a powerful gust, spinning as he did to dispell the flames. He landed softly on the ground, unharmed and setting his eyes on Souma.
"Stupid kid!" He snapped, "Like you stand a chance against me!"
Suddenly the ninja laucnhed forward with lightning speed. Souma's eyes widened, he couldn't keep up with such speed. Before he knew it the ninja would be on him. He felt a breeze past him and then his vision was obstructed. He heard his opponent cough as he crashed back along the floor, cluthcing his stomach. Standing a few feet in front of Souma holding a sheathed katana in his hand, was Kyouichi. Alive and unharmed.
"S-sensei!? you're okay?" Souma gasped
"Kawarimi no Jutsu..." Kyouichi replied with a dull look on his face, "Don't forget the basics"
"You!" Cried the Star ninja, "You weak Leaf ninja! You'll regret leaving the sheath on your sword!"
"eh?" Kyouichi asked, his attention foccused on the Star Ninja again, "You say somethin'?"
"I said you better not underestimate me! Not drawing your blade will be the end of you!" The Star ninja cried
"Trash like you ain't worth cuttin'" Kyouichi spat as he held the katana resting on his shoulder, "You don't deserve to fight a blade as sharp as mine"
"Sensei..." Souma whispered
"Souma, go help the others, I'll take care of this trash" Kyouichi ordered. Souma nodded apprehensively before diving off into the trees, leaving Kyouichi alone with the Star Ninja.

Haru sighed when Jaso created the Kirigakure no jutsu. The fog would not only obscure the enemys' vision, but their own. Not like it matter much to her, it just didn't change the situation much. She was grateful though that Mitrian was still giving orders. Haru hoped her target would be the one who had attacked her earlier so that she could have her revenge. She wasn't going to be attacked and let the guy get away with it. Idiot.

Obviously if shinobi such as the guys fighting them were there, there would be even stronger ones lying in wait in the case that her team managed to kill the first set. Obviously, that was going to happen. Not only was she one hundred percent positive about her team, her sensei had easily escaped the kunai ambush. So they still had a kick-butt sensei on their side. She still didn't trust Jaso, but for now he was a part of her team. She had no choice but to cooperate with him for the moment.

The grip on her spear tightened as she lept in the air at Mitrian's signal. Her stupid opponent moved his head to watch her, but as he did so, Haru could see his position clearly. In fact, the only reason she knew where he was because Mitrian had told her. She grinned feminine-like and quickly performed hand seals and whispering, "Katon: Goukakyuu no Jutsu." She breathed out a ball of flames at her opponent, who easily dodged. At this point, she had already activated her Ryuugan. Her eyes seemed to glow bright orage, with three black dots circling her pupils. She could see every one of the enemy; she quickly found her own.

She assumed the Armelia stance. Her spear pointed towards the earth and she leaned back on her left leg, with the right relaxed in the front. She straightened her back and tilted her chin down, looking up to watch her opponents movements. Soon two projectiles were thrown at her and she easily dodged, but she let her gaurd down. Perhaps she forgot that even though rank didn't matter, they managed to attack them without being detected. Her enemy was behind her the moment she deflected the shuriken. She noticed him too late.

Haru whipped around to counter or defend herself, but because her spear was feeling heavier than usual, she was too slow to do either. He punched upward into her stomach causing her to spit up whatever saliva was in her mouth. The force of the punch sent her back, but as she was being propelled backwards, she used her spear to slow her down. She stabbed it into the earth and used it like a brake. The Itsuki clenched her stomach and sheathed her spear to the sheath attached her her back. She didn't have to approach her enemy because he was already in her face, but she was ready that time. She first blocked all of his attacks, which were in fact, quite fast. Both of their arms were a blur. But when they both tired out, Haru quickly summoned her chakra to her right fist and whispered while smiling, "Gouken." And with that, she thrusted her chakra filled fist into her enemy's face, feeling his nose break under her knuckles. He writhed on the ground in pain and she took out her spear and stabbed him, not bothering to show any mercy.

As Mitrian stared at his opponent, he contemplated on the successful diversion. Just a moment ago, when he had activated his Byakugan, he knew from the get go that Kyouichi's body had been a fake. Assuming that their sensei was attempting to create a plan, Mitrian quickly gave out the commands to make it seem like their group had truly lost a member. Overall, most likely not the best commands he could have used, but it got the job done for the group. However it had worked, Mitrian knew he would hear about the performance value from Kyouichi when the fight was over.
Seeing his opponent stand up, Mitrian quickly dropped into his Juuken stance again to prepare for the ensuing battle. At a quick speed, the ninja had charged for Mitrian, at a speed similar to the other ninja's. As such, Mitrian almost could barely move out of the way at the ninja's punch strike. Once he had dodged, however, Mitrian was able to adjust his movement's accordingly to the opponent's strike, managing to dodge or parry each of the attacks. The opponent seemed curious, however, as he noticed Mitrian was not attacking on his own. Assuming that he was low of chakra already, the ninja jumped back and began to make handsigns. As he ended, he paused for a moment before realizing something was wrong.
"What the?... Why can't I-!"
Before he could figure out what had occurred, Mitrian had charged forward with another of his kunai in his hand. In a quick step, he slashed horizontally, cutting deep into his opponent's neck. "You must not have realized who you were dealing with," Mitrian spoke as he turned his gaze to his opponent. The ninja, upon seeing his eyes, realized all too late about him being a Hyuuga, and dropped to his knees as he held his bleeding neck. "Since I'm not much of a talkative type," Mitrian shortly explained, "in short, while you were trying to hit me as hard as you could, I was systemically sealing off your chakra points around your hand and arms." Unlike Haru, Mitrian was more merciful to his opponents, and thus said, "If you manage to stop the bleeding before you pass out, leave and never attack us again. Otherwise, I will have to kill you." He then calmly walked back towards the remaining fight, feeling that his comrades wouldn't truly need his help with Kyouichi back in play.

Jaso launched through the fog on time. The explosion from the kunai hid his opponent for a moment. Jaso was through the smoke and swung at the air where his opponent used to be.

"Shit!"

Jaso covered himself barely in time as the Star Ninja kicked him the abodemen and sent him into a tree further away from the group; his body smashed into the trunk and made an imprint of his body in the wood, bounced from recoil, and landed on his knees.

"Motherfucker, Why am I fighting the Taijutsu user?"

Jaso spat some blood from his mouth and got to his feet as the Star ninja got to him.

"Speed of the Body"

"5-star: Rocket Punch"

The Star ninja aimed for Jaso's head, but thanks to Jaso's Body Enhancement jutsu:Speed of the Body, he ducked to the right and avoided the punch and most of the blast radius from the shockwave. If Jaso had not, then his face would become tree paint. Jaso's ear was ringing from the shockwave and would have gotten buffeted off if he had not used the chakra points in his feet to stay on the tree.

"You are strong. I am sorry that I have to kill you"

"Strength of the Body"

Jaso struck the Star ninja with a hard left to the abodmen. The punch crushed the Star ninja's ribcage, and the bones pierced the lungs.

As the blood bubbled from the dieing ninja, he drew a paper bomb.

"Death to Konoha"

The paper bomb ignited, and sent Jaso crashing through the tree limbs on the way down to a hard landing on the ground.

Simora's shadowed illusion form glared at Kyousuke "Don't call me your baa-chan again, or I will drown you slowly in your own blood. The only reason you are alive right now is that our gracious leader sees a purpose for you. I would have killed you by now."

Simora scanned the gathered group.

"Who has decided to skip this missing, so I can kill them? This was supposed to be the big reveal especially why the fuck I am wallowing around in this backwater of a sespit called the Sea Country training them, and why I am even bothering to snoop around Nagi and O'uzu Islands."

Kirijoji, the hot head of the group, had stepped out of the shadows "Ah, Kirijoji, I didn't see you over there" Hayato said with a fake smile "We are just making conversation, if you do not like it you can always go back to your room, and I'll make sure to tell you you when the Leader arrives" Hayato had already made eye contact with Kirijoji and was ready to stop him if he were to lash out.

Kyousuke chuckled in response to Simora's threat. It wasn't that he didn't think she could probably do it, but he thought it was too boring if she hadn't threatened him in some sick way. It pleasured him to see the stressed expressioned on the others' faces. The blonde pulled down the cloth headband that held his bangs back from his face. It was still in good shape considering the extreme events it went through. It was a little hot and making him sweat, so he opted to pull it off. His eyes widened a little from the sudden shouting. Kirijoji. It was definately Kirijoji.

"Oh! Hi Kiri-ji!" Kyousuke waved to him and pretended as if he had never know he was there. He smiled michievously and listned to Simora's complaints. The leader had wanted to strengthen the Sea Country in return for a few 'errands'. Simora was to train them, and apparently, she wasn't happy about it. It wasn't her choice though. Then he remembered Hayato was there.

"Hey, Ojii-chan. Perhaps we should go and patrol the border around the Fire Country. If Leader should need us, then he knows how to contact us." Kyousuke suggested to Hayato. He hadn't been given any specific orders yet, and he knew Hayato hadn't either. Besides, he was supremely bored.

[Curse you double posts!]

Haru spat and lifted her black kimono top, revealing her pale stomach. Her skin was utterly flawless, not including the large welting bruise in the center. She growled, but she did not show disrespect to her enemy. It wasn't in her nature to disrespect the dead, even if they were her enemy. However, she wasn't as respectful as she would have been since he had damaged her skin. She used her flawless looks to spy and decive enemies, and now she can't because nobody wants a girl with a nasty battle scar. Even though it was just a bruise and it wasn't going to scar, it was sore. Very sore. She let her shirt fall back into place and retied the sash around her abdomen.

"Just what was that about? Maybe their siding with Kumogakure." Haru sighed. Her glowing orange irises faded back to their original onyx color. She breathed in and out hard. "And do you believe what that bastard did to my stomach?! It left a huge mark, and it's smack-dab in the middle! Nah, Mitrian, can you at least make it less painful?" Haru was not usually injured in such a way. Every time she twisted or moved her stomach muscles would ache.

Once she asked her question, is was up to Mitrian to decide whether it was safe to casually start healing. Haru was only a genin in refrence to experience and missions, and she had thought Jaso to be completely reliable since he had such a cocky attitude. However, when the star shinobi lit the paper bomb, she fell back and landed on the ground. She saw Jaso had been thrown back, and he was closest to the explosion, so she feared he was either dead or severly injured. Her small bruise would be nothing compared to-

Wait...

She feared for him? What the hell?

Regardless, he was still a part of her team, and she would get an earful if she just ignored him. Haru quickly rose to her feet and rushed to where Jaso was lying on the ground. She kneeled down and lifted his head on her lap. She tapped his cheek with the palm of her hand, not hard but slightly so. "Nah, Jaso? You still with us?"

As Mitrian drew closer to the rest of his team, he could hear Haru's complaining about a simple bruise. Sighing at the thought of wasting chakra on something so low-level, he raised his hand up as he said, "Yeah, yeah..."
Suddenly, he saw an explosion to his side and raised his arms up to shield his face from the dust and debris. Letting the dust settle before lowering his arms, he saw Haru next to Jaso's seemingly unconscious body. Quickly, he made his way up to the down ninja and examined his chakra and body condition. Chakra... not too messed up. Body... Battered from the explosion and tree collisions. Placing his hands over the more damaged part of his body, he then began to use his chakra to heal Jaso's damages.
It didn't take very long to heal him up to about 85% efficiency, but that was the best Mitrian could do on his own. When he was finished, he then turned to Haru and placed one hand right above the spot where the bruise was. Using a bit of his chakra, he completely removed the pain of the bruise and managed to drop its size a bit. When this was all finished, he stood up straight and turned to watch their sensei's battle.

With a quick flash the remaining Star ninja re-appeared next to Kyouichi, throwing a powerful kick to his side. The irritable jounin lazily flicked his sheathed katana to his side and gripped it tightly, the sheath taking the force of the blow effortlessly.
"Baka!" Kyouichi snarled as he forced the ninja backwards and sprinted forward on the offensive, "Taking a Taijutsu specialist in close quarter combat? My Genin know better than that!"
Kyouichi's single handed swipe slammed into the Star nin's stomach with brutal force. The ninja gasped loudly however before he could finish his image disappeared in a cloud of smoke. Suddenly wires seemed to spin around Kyouichi from all directions, raising and twirling before tightening around him. At first it seemed as if Kyouichi was trapped, however, at the last moment he seemed to duck lazily, leaping from his fight and diving through the thin gaps between the wires.
"How!?" The Star ninja cursed as he descended from above, hurling shuriken and Kyouichi.
"You still haven't noticed?" Kyouichi asked as he gracefully avoided the shuriken before finally drawing his blade from it's sheath. The star ninja landed but immediately he saw that he had lost sight of Kyouichi. Something flicked in front of him and then he felt a clean pain shoot through him from behind. He looked down to see a bloody blade impaled through his chest. Behind him, standing back to back with him, was Kyouichi, holding the katana so that the blade had went through the star ninja's chest.
"Yukkuritori no Jutsu" Kyouichi explained with a solemn expression, "the stance is designed to fool the opponent into underestimating you. It fakes a very lazy and unguarded stance whilst also using unorthodox movements to create the illusions of being clumsy. The moment you thought your shuriken had killed me this battle was over..."
Kyouichi suddenly pulled the blade from the ninja, who fell to his knees with a helpless look on his face.
"...I.." He stammered
"I don't like killing..." Kyouichi interupted, "I hope that nobody else from your village decides to get in our way, because rest assured, I will cut them down"
Finally the ninja dropped to the floor dead and Kyouichi swiped his katana through the air, the blood flying from the blade, before sheathing it once more with a gentle and yet precise "thud".

Souma was watching in awe. Their master's strength was far more advanced than the three of them combined. He felt foolish for thinking him dead so soon.

Kiri seemed to twitch irritably at Kyousuke, a particular member who knew how to push his buttons. Not to mention he did so deliberately. The childish member of Akatsuki was more than enough to make his blood boil.
"Kyousuke!" Kiri snarled, ignoring the threatening glares he was receiving from Hayato, "...Will there be fighting? I'll come with you if it means I get to snap some necks"
He did not admit to what he was truly thinking at that point. The neck he wanted to snap at that point was actually Kyousuke's. His murderous ambition would have lead him to attempt killing everyone in the room. Only the Leader seemed to be able to control Kiri, and with him being absent Kiri could already feel his bloodthirsty attitude beginning to boil. Unlike most of Akatsuki he had no grand motive for being there. He wanted to kill. Akatsuki provided him with such an indulgence.

"No, don't even joke like that. Compared to him, I am a newborn and that disgusts me. I will kill him one day, but I must get stronger."

"With the strength of this country you made strong. You will."

Haru's (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qVMJrMiV4U) eyes widened when she saw Jaso coming to. She smiled and sighed, relieved that he wasn't killed so early on into the mission. She was happy that he was okay, but her smile quickly turned sour. She felt hands groping her chest and saw the idiotic look on Jaso face. Haru continued to smile, though it wasn't as genuine as he smile before, and her face was bright red. She felt her cheeks and ears get hot, but she wasn't sure if she was embarrassed or angry. She started chuckled in her throat, giving off a low tone. It sort of added to her dark aura around her that promised an early death.

The kunoichi quickly stiffened her hand so that it would act as an axe, and she raised it up in the air. She brought it down hard and fast, but Jaso had rolled away too fast. When he hit a root that was sticking out of the earth, she stood up in a way that sent shivers down your back. She cracked her neck and her knuckles and her grin spread across her face. Haru reached out her hand to him, but it seemed to be clawing at him instead of reaching.

"I. Will. Kill. You..." Her face was still red, but the air around her was dark. Too dark for any normal person not to be scared. She started to back off a little when he called out in pain. At that point, she kneeled down next to him waving towards Mitrian. "You're an idiot." She said, bluntly.

Watching him blankly, Mitrian nearly gained a soft smirk on his face when Jaso crashed into a tree root. Of course, when Haru called him over to help the ninja out, Mitrian gave a sigh before he joined the two again.

Souma folded his arms as he lay back against the tree he was near, his head bowed in thought. He knew, as they likely all did, that there Sensei was avoiding the important questions buzzing through their heads. This was a simple mission and yet they had been attacked by a group of ninja without provoking them. The Star Village had no large scale discrepancies with Konoha. Were they contracted by someone else? If so how many more ninja were out there looking for them.
"Kyouichi-sensei" Souma finally spoke, "I understand that we need to keep moving but...give us all the facts"
Kyouchi thought for a moment, rubbing his chin. Then he simply shook his head.
"Nope" he said bluntly
"Guh!?" Souma gasped, his eye twitching, "Wha-why not!?"
"Because you guys are brats" Kyouichi replied, his voice almost sounding amused by it all, "All this time together...and never once...have any of you..." Kyouichi's eyes darted firecely towards Jaso. "...Even attemped to cop a feel of Haru's breasts!"
Kyouichi spun around, his head held high as he went to walk off. "At least this mist ninja had the stones! granted he needs to work on his stealth mind you..."
Souma's face had already melted into a look of dispair and disapointment that he had not shown since they were at the bridge in Konoha.
"Sensei was right...we can't depend on him" He sighed.

Souma began to walk to catch up with Kyouichi. He hadn't said it, but he knew that Kyouichi's actions were a distraction. He had changed the subject. Souma was know expert but he knew that could mean only one thing. This mission had become far more dangerous.

He wasn't frightened at all, instead he was shaking with excitement. He thrusted his sword in the air and shouted, "Let's go!"

Of course he was happy to leave that dark, tension-filled cave, however, the leader was trying to contact him, and he had a killer headache. He followed after Hayato and kept his guard up in case Kiri decided to take a swing at him. Though as he was doing so, he was concentrating on whatever the leader was trying to get across to him. However, the message wasn't clear. Something about the border, and he felt proud of himself for foreseeing an issue they'd have to deal with anyway. He ignored anything else the leader said. He assumed that the leader just wanted them to stop whoever was trying to cross the border. Now, where was it again? The river country?

---

Haru rose to her feet and followed her team, who were continuing on with the mission. However much she wanted to slit Jaso's throat, that would have to wait until after the mission was successfully completed. Haru was quite the perfectionist at times, so it had to be completely done before she could strangle the mist shinobi.

Haru let out a heavy sigh; she almost felt out of breath for some reason. It was still cold, but everyone else seemed to be fine with it. Maybe she was getting sick. She did, afterall, train and get sweaty and then stand outside, waiting for an hour with bare amrs and legs without taking a hot shower or anything. And she was quite sensitive, however, it didn't really concern her much. She got over illnesses quite easily. Never once was she sick for more than a day. Maybe that's why she could feel her face was still red.

"Nah, sensei? Do you suppose those star ninja were with Kumogakure? They never held any grudges against us before right?" Haru was very confused as to why such a friendly country would go against them. Perhaps they were against the war, but if that were so, why would they kill? Wouldn't that only feed the flames of war and make it stronger? Again, Haru was very puzzled. She also figured that there were to be even stronger opponents farther down the road, so she felt the need to pick it up a bit. She let her chakra flow freely, instead of concentrating it to one point to save herself some energy.
