Stephanie is not afraid to call someone out, or get herself involved when no one will step in. However, she is loyal to the end, and is an excellent friend. She's there to listen and help them out, and will do whatever it takes to defend said friend or stand up for them.

b i o :: A single child living alone with her mother, Stephanie's rich father left her family at a young age. He left not even a penny to their name, forcing Ms. van Durst to seek out multiple jobs in order to keep a somewhat sustained life. Stephanie was often left alone, whenever not at school. She knew her mother was struggling, and did what she could to help. That ranged from beating up punks at the playground for their money, or sneaking some money off of the teacher. Countless times, Stephanie had gotten in trouble, and having ADHD was of no help. As she got older, her "behavioral problems" only worsened. Now, Stephanie was mugging petty thieves and criminals for all their money as a sort of "repentance." Needless to say, though the extra money helped somewhat, it got Stephanie into more trouble than it was worth.

p e r s o n a l i t y :: A reserved person when it comes to dealing with other people. Can smile, laugh and joke with those she is comfortable with, yet can become quieter when around strangers. Her true feelings seem to flow much better when she is molding clay or drawing her feelings away. In fact, it isn't a good sign if her daily canvas is mess of color with angry spat-like strokes as her frustration is blocking any creative ideas that come to mind. That is a flaw that she has never really managed to get over, that she bottles up negative emotions until she can't handle them anymore and it results in either word vomit or angry paintings.
b i o : The canvas has always been her safe space ever since her mother handed her a paintbrush and a small set of colored paints. It was preferable to her coloring on the walls like any curious toddler would do much to the joy of her parents. Her childhood was relatively peaceful with her parents making enough money to put them stoutly in middle class, yet it was almost too peaceful. Art was her outlet to the normal world as anything she could think of ended up on a canvas. In fact it became a reliable tool for friends and family to take a peek at Lynn's mood just through the drawings alone. Yet, boredom seemed to stifle her passion as nothing really changed as she grew even after moving out of her parents house and into a small studio apartment of her own. It wasn't that the she was unhappy with her life, but being stuck in a rut wasn't perfect either. What she desires now is a change in her life..but what?

Oh, another side note, all the characters know each other for the sake of the roleplay (they'll be a group of college friends to keep things simple). It'll be better if they can all interact with each other rather than simply being stuck with their partners all the time.
It will be harder for the humans to interact with the souls that weren't their best friends, but since they still had some sort of connection they can still see and interact with the souls on some basic level. Make sense? I hope so, I feel like I'm making this too confusing. ;w;

p e r s o n a l i t y :: Quiet, outspoken, and shy. More often than not is she tearing up at something little that makes her happy or sad or angry. However, she is very motherly and will do whatever she can to make someone feel better, whether that be baking cookies or going so far as to move in with them for a while. Very selfless, she'll always put someone else's needs before hers. Unfortunately, she gets attached to things--and people--too easily, and gets walked over more than she should. A horrible liar, she has a very expressive face and can't say "no" or lie to save her life.

b i o :: When she was only six years old, Mary-Anne was diagnosed with arrhythmia. Her heart had an irregular heart beat, and made her susceptible to several heart and overall health problems. Many a time did she spend her elementary days at home, gazing out the window at all of the other children playing. To pass the slow, unbearable time, Mary-Anne began to draw. She dedicated herself to sketching and painting, taking out all of her angers and frustrations through paintbrush and paint. However, having heart problems was, to her mother, no reason for being unable to study. For the most part, Mrs. Louis homeschooled Mary, teaching her everything she needed to know. Of course, her mother was much stricter than her father, and pushed her to understand and practice everything until she could solve equations and write essays in her sleep. The pressure her mother put on her to maintain good grades was too much, and she fell back to painting as a way to calm herself down before her heart got too exhausted. Her father supported her endeavors, saying it was a good "release" for her stress and a way for her to relax. At thirteen years old, she began middle school, and had a baby brother to liven things up at home. Her mother became engrossed with taking care of her new son, Damien, but still pressured Mary to do well in school. Every day, Mary devoured books on every subject and studied to no end, maintaining straight-A's all throughout high school. However, the pressure to stay a perfect honors student began to take its toll on her. At fifteen, she began to develop anxiety and often found herself having panic attacks. In order to calm herself down, she would again look to art as an outlet, further improving her artistic ability. She submitted several pieces to galleries and entered competitions, and placed in the top three for all of them. As a result, she was awarded plenty of money and scholarships. Though her anxiety never went away, she was able to graduate high school and go to the college of her dreams for a degree in art. Her mother was not happy, but Mary did her best to pretend that she didn't have to listen to her mother anymore.
