You wake up, cold, burned with the unfamiliar sensation of ice. You look around to see nothing, but a ghostly forest full of the blackened tree corpses of what could be the only thing recognizable in this bleak land of ice. There is no mountains, the only land you see beyond that of what is right in front of you in snow. But then you hear voices, voices of sorrow, confusion and dread. The faces, the faces of mortal men and women. Where are you? And more importantly, can you escape?
Races
Humans
One of the most diverse and ambitious races to inhabit the Mortal Earth. Humans may not live as long as many other races, but indeed they have the potential to be the most powerful and more importantly dangerous.
Elves
Elves are the longest lived and wisest of the races to inhabiy the Mortal Earth. The elves may not have the numbers as many other races, but they compensate for it with their knowledge and acquired skills on the battlefield.
Dwarves
The dwarves are another widepsread race, they are the kings of the craft and skilled with smithing and forging. Dwarves are shorter than both humans and elves. Dwarves are generally considered stereotypically outgoing and low of tolerance.
Fenri
A race of brutal, beserking lupine-like folk that were native to the Realm of Hel, but broke into the Mortal Earth thousands of years ago. They largely live as mercenaries or hired assistance under dwarves or men. They resemble giant wolf-headed humanoids covered in mangy fur.
Goliaths
A race of giants, inhibiting the forests and deserted villages of other races. Ranging from seven to twelve feet tall. Considered rugged, savage and wild yet stunningly beautiful and below average in intelligence. Goliaths prefer to carry thick clubs and gigantic swords which are too big to be wielded by men or dwarves.
Mice
Mice are small creatures with bald tails, paws and ears. Despite popular belief by many races, mice do indeed speak and they are not particularly fond of cheese. The biggest misconception is that mice are not brave creatures, a single mouse has the willpower to defeat a dragon if properly encouraged to.
