It's been 18 years since the events that change the world of Olam as we know of. A band of new heroes about to start their quest to find their own future and destiny, and it all starts in a small forgotten island surrounded by the smell of fish.

I am excited as I write these lines. I'm gonna try the thing I was hoping not to do in my lifetime and actually write a sequal to my famous RP until kingdom come (https://role-player.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1594).

Unlike the previous story, this will be more story based, more focused. Most of us will start as heroes starting their advanture which will be shapped little by little as we go into it.

Talia is a tall young woman (about 165 cm) with ivory shiny skin and long wavy (almost curly) fire red hair that reaches down to her hips. She has a childish face and big blue eyes (The color of blue is very deep and almost unnatural). Despite her age, often when you look at her she seemed to be much older than her age, and her eyes seemed to be hidding a wisdom in them.

Weapons: She is skilled with fighting staff, and wishes at some point to learn to handle more weapons

Clothing: She likes to dress in red and white, and often wearing a summer dressses in such colors.

Accessories: N/N

Special Abilities: She is very persuasive and a born leader, and can often cause you to change your mind and do what she wants you to do. No one really sure how she does it. In addition to that she is harboring magical talent which she is unable to control. It often manifested as 'Fire' based spells.

Likes: Sweets, Summer, the ocean, VIR

Dislikes: Annoying people

Persona: Talia is a very hard person to get along with, as she will tell you what she thinks straight in your face. She often will find a way to get into trouble, and likes to push boundaries. She is however very loyal to her friends and will do anything for them.

Brief History: Talia appeared one day on the beach and was picked up by VIR and few local people that gave her a small hut to call a home. She knows nothing of her past, or why she has strange abilities. For some unknown reason VIR, the elemental warrior was becoming attached to the girl, and often found himself protecting her or saving her from the anger of her small village.

Because of her appearance (her red hair), her abilities, and her rebellious attitude she was treated a imp girl by the town people, looked down by man, adults and children alike.

At some point in her life she found a goblin who has also appeared to have lost his memory, and she took the small creature in, treating him as a pet.

Kin (family): VIR which she treats as an elder brother/ uncle.

Bio: The goblin washed ashore and was soon adopted by Talia as a pet. She treats him with respect and he has became attached to her, although he is not exactly obeying her and seems to be causing as much troubles as she does.

He remembers nothing of his past, but his love for shiny objects hadn't dimmed.

Age: Two weeks shy of eighteen.

Pale skin with gleaming feral golden eyes like her father, with the dark raven colored hair of her mother would be a fair description of the princess. Neither very tall or weighing much, Phaedra only stands at five feet and three inches and is a solid one hundred and four pounds of pure spit fire and determination.

Class: Druid

Weapons: Mainly daggers but is skilled with a sword. Because of her connection to nature she can control earth and wind as well as she seems to be able to communicate with some animals.

Clothing: Mainly leathers, often with fur skins.

Accessories: A silver medallion with the druid emblem for the Al’Andun clan carved with fine detail onto the face of it.

Special Abilities: StormCaller, The art of transformation into a raven is a process that she is still learning to control.

Likes: Animals and Nature

Dislikes: Fake people. Hot weather.

Persona: Like her father, she is a storm ever raging but she has her mother’s soft but strong demeanor.

Brief History: The daughter of the King and Queen Al’Andunn, Princess Phaedra was born with a natural wanderlust to explore the world beyond castle walls. Beginning her training at a tender age, she has mastered both the arts of healing and self defense.

Homeland: The capital of Burg, Aerosia

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Appearance: Jaylyn’s parents both had blond hair and green eyes, and of course, their daughter inherited those traits. Her light hair is faded to almost a platinum blond from her long days in the sun, which combined with her tan skin gives the perfect picture of summertime. Her easy smile is accented with rosy, dimpled cheeks, flushed lips, and straight, white teeth. She stands slightly shorter than what would be considered common, but still managed to grow taller than her mother. Jaylyn’s body is lean and is clearly used to its full, athletic potential on a daily basis, but she lacks (and secretly envies) the womanly curves that some of her friends have acquired.

Class: Healer in training

Weapons: Two flintlock pistols, a gift from her father, ride low on her hips. The girl also always keeps a dagger hidden in her leather boot, less for self defense, and more as an act of defiance as her mother refuses to allow Jaylyn to wear her other weapons inside the house.

Clothing: She usually chooses clothing for comfort rather than fashion, and the young girl never, ever chooses a skirt. Her usual outfits consist of fitted pants and a loose, flowing top. In colder weather, she prefers a man’s jacket to a cloak.

Accessories: As a surprising feminine touch, she does like wearing jewelry, and she often has jingling bracelets and a long necklace. Her hair is often tied into a high ponytail with ribbons of green and gold, or dotted with seashells that she collected on a nearby shore.

Special Abilities:
~Minor healing: the ability to heal minor cuts, bruises, and other wounds on her own power
~Minor cleansing: the ability to cleanse a body of non-life threatening poisons
~Knowledge of medicines: Jaylyn has been trained in creating and mixing potions and medicines from natural and manufactured ingredients. This includes an extensive knowledge of plants and their uses.
~Empathy: When using her healing powers, Jaylyn can feel what her patient is feeling. This can be a boon or a curse, as it can help her find the sources sickness, or can impede her abilities when having to work through the pain.

Likes: Open spaces, the smell of nature, new things, and the family dog.

Dislikes: Staying indoors, restrictions, when someone withholds information from her

Persona: Despite her minimal stature, Jaylyn is a spunky, excitable explorer. She knows the land around her home like the back of her hand, but still searches it thoroughly every day in hopes of finding something new. During the rare time she spends resting and relaxing, the girl revels in the smell of the nearby ocean, wondering what adventures lie beyond the waves. She has a friendly attitude, and a quick wit, but lacks patience. Everything about her is fast and in the moment.

Brief History: It took some time for her parents to decide on a permanent home, as both her parents had been wanderers in their youth. Eventually they settled on the quiet island of Aerosia, in the coastal town of Burg. Wren, a healer, easily found work in the city, and Raphael, formerly a pirate, still was able to sail the seas he loved as the captain of a merchant ship. While they had previously been adventurers, the couple wanted a more quiet, secure life for their only child as she grew. Jaylyn inherited her mother’s ease in learning the ways of healing, and Wren did her best to train the girl to follow her in that profession. But Jaylyn also inherited her father’s wanderlust, and training with her mother was not without complaint. She had trouble paying attention to her lessons, her eyes constantly roaming to a window and her mind drifting to imaginary adventures in far off lands.

Frustrated, and a bit worried that her daughter would run off on some perilous voyage the first chance she got, Wren consented to allow her husband to teach her how to use his firearms and the art of fencing. She also did her best to allow Jaylyn to burn off her nearly endless supply of energy by wandering the land around their home unsupervised. The doting mother fretted whenever her daughter was out of sight, and she always wished the girl would change her mind and choose a healer’s path. Raphael, on the other hand, took great pride in his little girl who could outrun most of the boys in town and brawl with the best of them.

Name: Cliven Crane

Homeland: Cliven forsook his homeland long ago
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Appearance: A tall man (200cm) Cliven Crane is weathered looking soul His hair is a dark brown and is grown as long as his ears. His face is adorned with stubble and his tanned to the point of being sun damaged. The rest of him hasn't faired much better with the hard life of the trail taking it's toll.
Cliven is muscular by necessity and bears his fair share of scars throughout his body. Though don't expect to see them.
Class: Roughrider
Weapons: A weathered Lever Action rifle and a Revolver. Both chambered for the same cartridge.
Rifle, with an approximate length of 38" this short "Carbine" can hold about six rounds before needing to reload.
Revolver: A run-of-the-mill Single Action Revolver, holds six rounds.
Bowie Knife, A tool more than a weapon. A good knife is always a welcome addition when you live out in the wilds.
Clothing: Hardy trousers and a shirt comprise the base layer of This weathered man's clothing. On his feet he wears sturdy leather boots fit for riding long distances. Over his shirt is first a no frills vest with small pockets and over that is a single bandolier holding cartridges of a pistol caliber. Over everything a leather duster is worn for protection from the sun and for warmth at night. Cliven wears a wide brimmed cowhide hat and leather gloves rounding out his rough appearance
Accessories: various beads and minor trophies. most importantly a single charm woven into his hair which he claims is for good luck.
Special Abilities: (ask me first)
Likes: A good tavern, strong coffee, Privacy, the occasional baked treat.
Dislikes: Crowded places, loud obnoxious people, Cheats, Overbearing rules and regulations
Persona: A man shrouded in mystery
Brief History:What is said about Cliven is mostly rumor. However what those rumors say does hit very close to fact.
Cliven was for the most part of his life a bandit of sorts. And a good one to, he and his gang had made a name for themselves hitting caravans as they made their way across Sigard. taking some wealth, ad leaving in a whirlwind. Usually everyone came out alive and the targets could recover, after all why just take everything. Better to leave them with enough to come back and get hit again.

Unfortunatly one heist went wrong. Several were killed and to make a long story short Cliven has to watch his back for both his former gang and the autorites. Left on his own Cliven eventually found himself near an outpost that he later discovered was dedicated to reserch with a goal of improving the odds of normal soldiers against magic users. Cliven snuck in and made his way what was apparently an assembly area where a firearm of the most unusual design. Alnog with it as apparently a revolving chamber pistol designed to work with the newly introduced metal cartidges. At that time the alarm was raised and Cliven, ever the oprtunist snagged both guns and bolted on a stolen horse he later named Avel.

Now with the autorites hot on his trail Cliven made the choice to leave Sigard, Cliven made his way to a port city and bought the cheapest ticket he could and threw his fate to the wind.

An early propellant used in muzzleloading firearms,
Known for its black cloud produced after it exposes.

It's effectively the precursor to what we know as gunpowder. Though not modern smokeless ball or rod powder used in centerfire cartridges.

Industry my friend.

Besides early smokeless powder still had some issues. Notably it was too strong for mist pistol cartridges which used gunpowder up until true centerfire cartridges were the norm.

I'm sorry, but I'm calling bull. Industry needs to snowball before you start getting that kind of rapid technological evolution. Going from high medieval to high industrial revolution (over three hundred years in our timeline) in less than 30 makes zero sense at all.

Black powder at most for softbore muzzle-loading firearms would be the most anyone could hope for, in my mind. Your character seems grossly out of place, being a wild west gunslinger in a medieval fantasy...

It's up to the GM, but a pepperbox musket at most would be my verdict...

So is this just a problem with my character or with the very idea of rapid development of technology.
Keep in mind that many archaic weapon systems coexisted with more advanced systems for centuries. Heck smoothbore muskets are still a popular hunting system.

Unless they experienced a kind of technological singularity, they wouldn't develop gunpowder, especially smokeless, in 18 years. I urge you to keep in mind that there wasn't even a cannon seen in the previous story, so having a Henry repeater show up without any lead-up makes zero sense. Not only is it imbalanced for the other players, but it just feels out of place and inappropriate for the world's current state.

I'll go so far as to redact my statement about a pepperbox. If there is going to be firearms, it should be old-school black powder, cast iron canister grenades, and the ye olde "handgonne" (http://www.hexapolis.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Amazing_Gunpowder_Weapons_History_Handgonne_1.jpg)

As it stands, its like trying to bring a Remington pump-action into Albion 20 years after Arthur bit the dust.

As for your character, he just feels like an excuse to have guns.

Name: Prince AnMar Al’Andunn

kingdom: Aerosia

Homeland: Norgard

Age: Eighteen years and eight months.

Gender: Male

An’Mar wears his long dark locks loose usually. Not one for crowns or headbands, he prefers the more natural look, choosing only to swipe the hair from his eyes when and if needed. Having inherited the royal genes, both parents can easily be seen in this tall handsome young man. He has the naturally dark skin of his mother along with the same piercing olive colored eyes. From his father he received his handsome features, and a husky, muscular frame.

Class: Druid

Weapons: AnMar prefers to rely on his more “natural” abilities when it comes to being able to protect himself, but as is the case with all of the members of his family he has also been well trained in the art of self defense. His ability to wield a sword is second only to his ability to control plants and vines

Clothing: Being from Norgard and having to weather the tough climate there, AnMar can often be seen wearing leathers, sometimes with furs just like his sister. But what he really prefers is to wear loose pants that draw shut at the waist with a belt worn under a loose tunic top that does little to hide the fact that for his age he has quite the physique being concealed by it.

Accessories: Royal bands that are worn around his biceps along with a royal leather head dress to be work on royal occasions or when representing the king and queen. He also carries a satchel that contains a mixed variety of different types of herbs to be used in medicine. Although not as learned in the art of healing as his sister Phaedra, he does know a thing or two about medicine.

Special Abilities: AnMar prides himself on the fact that like his uncle Epinala, he also can turn into a wolf at will. He learned of this ability at a very young age although admittedly he was almost seventeen before he managed to master the transformation at will part of it. While AnMar loves nothing more than he does his family, he does love the feeling of freedom that he feels when he is in wolf form. And not many would dare to take him on, in either human or wolf form.

Likes: His family and friends. Loyalty and bravery are traits that he likes.

Dislikes: Fake people and girls that are more interested in his royal title than they are in him.

Persona: Normally more quiet and reserved like his mother, An’Mar can become rather fierce when it comes to protecting his friends, family and family honor. He is intensely loyal. The prince also has a soft spot for his sister and for their childhood friend Jaylyn, daughter of their parents good friends, Raphael and Wren. If any one were to ever threaten a hair on either girls head, you would find An’Mar right there ready to defend them.

Brief History: Having grown up in the King and Queens court, AnMar being the quick study that he was learned early on the art of diplomacy from his mother. He also learned from his mother how to control the temper that he had inherited from his father, Arjak, the king.

One of the saving graces of having to be “royalty”, was the fact that his parents were and remained to be, very down to earth. Often the young couple would take their children to play with the daughter of their long time friends Raphael and Wren. Mini vacations spent at the royal summer cottages as they were called, offered breaks from the royal court, along with time for bonding with the other family who were clearly like family to the king and queen.

Reforged from the dagger he started with, Requiem has been empowered by his own studied enhancements to better suit his fighting style and to create a fail safe. Should the dagger ever be taken by someone unworthy of the blood line, the blade handle will produce very sharp needles to stab the holder with until they release the blade. Any attempt at undoing said fail safe will cause the needles to expend necrotic energy until its proper owner arrives to defuse said fail safes. The hilt has a pearl inside of it in the shape of a crescent moon...further showing his place among the Fangs.

This scimitar was gifted by Livata on the eve of the battle at Sigard. The sword was enchanted to be more compatible with Zelvad’s power. It is also lighter than his previous sword, allowing him to cut faster.

Clothing:
When on leisure, Zelvad wears anything comfortable usually in the colors of purple or brown. When on a job though, Zelvad wears a tightly tied full black tunic with a face and head wrap leaving only his eyes revealed.


Accessories: He wears a silver spider as a tie off for his hair. Said pendant also carries a hidden blade, though it's only used for slicing up fruit along with other miscellaneous tasks....thus leaving the blade very dull and very ineffective at combat.

The mask he carried with him all those years ago is still a very interesting part of Zelvad's life, for while he no longer needs it to fully access his power, he keeps it among his personal belonging as a reminder of where he came from, and what he lost to get there. Strangely enough, he keeps it hidden. Like it still has an important purpose to serve….

As per any assassin, Zelvad carries uncanny resistance to magic and any of its forms. Though with the awakening of his power, Zelvad has found many nifty new abilities.

One particularly useful trick is that by removing the hidden blade inside the silver spider, his magic can bring it to life and move it wherever he pleases by his will. Also by closing his eyes, he can see through the eyes of the spider, giving him an advantage in battle with a bird's eye view of the action as well as an ability to find weak points in guarded structures. Through further studies, Zelvad is now able to fully animate the the trinket, giving it a web sac fro long stake outs and even functioning fangs, for which he can grant his brands and marks through from a distance aside from the traditional means.

Next, through inspired experimentation in the heat of battle, if Zelvad seems to become disarmed he can will his blades back to his hands...given he's within a proper enough range of course, which has increased as his confidence in his power as increased.

Found from awakening to the power of the Ancients, Zelvad has all but mastered the properties of blood magic...which Zelvad has been fighting viciously in the years after the battle in Sigard and Helena’s disappearance to remove the stigma of said abilities. Also, through his own force of will Zelvad is able to channel his magic through his blood once wounded to do his bidding...though only for a limited time. However this time can be extended if he continues to shed the blood of others. Though it should be noted that all of his abilities save for this can be done without the cost of bloodshed for obvious reasons.

Over the last 18 years, Zelvad has come to gain greater control and understanding of his power, allowing him now to cast minor and greater illusions on those who come within eye contact of him and the ability to brand the loyal and mark his enemies depending on how the person is branded. His brand is placed on the right hand and gives the bearer greater agility, strength, and impressive magical resistances. Also Zelvad has found that his own longevity is increased by the number and potency of the ones branded. His mark, however, is placed on the left side of the neck and slowly saps the afflicted of their willpower, but it won’t kill the marked individual, nor does it benefit Zelvad in any way. The brand will only be removed when the brander feels the target has atoned for whatever wrong the target has caused or if the person dies, by his own hand or otherwise.

of disrespect for nature and it's animals, and people messing with his hair.

Persona:
Zelvad prefers to be awake around dusk...though he does sometimes experience the day though depending on when his erratic sleep will allow him the luxury. The weirdest thing about him that he notices is that he mostly keeps to himself, yet is very talkative when approached...mostly to help others understand the reasons for his pursuits, as well as trying to understand others motivations and reaching a middle ground. He also has what some would call a "unhealthy" love of spiders, which earned him his nickname. Zelvad doesn't see it that way though. He sees spiders as a example to show the pace that life likes to put people through. The webs he notes as a metaphor for how people get stuck in the smallest of problems which can quickly spiral out of control, consuming them and eventually lead to the end of life....as noted by the spider.

When he first came into his magic, the over surge of power created a thought-form in his mind that plagued his thoughts and dreams with violence and temptations. Zelvad’s response to using his powers afterwards became distant as he continued traveling with his comrades, deciding to only use them sparingly for fear that it would tear him apart if he pressed too hard in his discoveries as he interpreted the dreams and thoughts as warnings of what was to come should he abuse his powers. This attitude carried on well into the present, using knowledge obtained to press cautiously into his new found abilities, once he had the confidence to do so safely.

History:
Zelvad was born into a very sheltered existence, living amongst the woods and life of the wood itself. He especially loved any swampy areas he came across during walkabouts. Something about them seemed...gritty...yet refined and beautiful. It was here he came across his very first Spider and was fascinated by how something with so many legs, didn't trip over itself whenever it tried to move. He followed the spider all the way to its web where he then saw the spider suck the life from a freshly caught fly.

He would come by everyday and watch the same spider do the same thing everyday, enthralled by how quickly a life could end by not paying attention to everything around it. The saddest memory though is when the spider died, leaving an empty web. Upon that event he took it as a sign that to stay in the same place for too long led to stagnation and eventually his end. Zelvad then took it upon himself after that to leave his home to go make his own at the age of 16. Not only was it having to leave his family, it was leaving that little swamp that he adored so much. He bid farewell to his mother and father and left.

Upon reaching the main part of the city around nightfall, his innocent eyes caught a glimpse of a man in tight black clothes rush past him. He had never seen a man like this before, though it immediately reminded him of the spider from home. Given that thought, he quickly followed the man and peeked around a corner only to see the man with a knife against the throat of what looked of a mage of some sort, a look he only remembered for the fact that his father was a druid. The mage begged what he called the "assassin" for mercy, offered money, land, women. Before the mage could speak anymore, the man in black cut his throat wide open. Zelvad's Spider had come back from the dead, and it was till doing it's job proudly. His first reaction led to a gasp which made him discovered...then everything went black.

The next thing he knew he was in a house he did not recognize and securely tied to a chair. Looking up, his eyes locked onto the man in black...the assassin. The Spider had caught this fly, and for the first time Zelvad knew what it was like to be stuck in the web and he was afraid, paralyzed by what the Spider might do now that he was alone and powerless. This man however showed mercy to the fly in front of him. The Spider offered him the chance to never play the role of the helpless prey....a chance to become the Spider...an assassin.

Zelvad accepted without question, knowing full well what he was getting himself into. This led to 8 years of the most intensive, punishing training he'd ever experienced. The next year after led on with the man he'd come to know as "Master Livata" shadowing Zelvad during his first contracts. The master then let Zelvad go on his own at the age of 27 as a full member of the Lunar Fangs.

Only months after becoming an assassin and settling in Ascara, he became wrapped in a confilct that would change his life forever. The assassination attempt on the Elders in Ascara by Cronus would've been a complete success had it not been for Zelvad's interference. It was then that he came upon the Elder Roseabelle and after being informed of the task ahead, she released his power in her final moments.

Now with the power of the Ancients at his hands, he sought to bring understanding and change to a system that worked for centuries. For without this change, the evils asserting themselves would surely destroy anything and everything Zelvad held dear....

The two months after the battle at Star Sanctum didn't really bode well for Zelvad mentally. The voice that followed him since his awakening had all but driven him mad, and dreams of bloodshed and death in Chanclera, had all but made him abandon hope of a restful sleep...

That all changed again when the girl found him though.

When Bria was brought forth to Zelvad, she looked about as rough as Zelvad felt...and she drew the signs. Signs that only the Fangs knew. When she was asked of her journey and her knowledge of those symbols, she could only cry as she handed Zelvad her bag with the scrolls inside:

"Uncle Lot.....made me promise."

That's when it hit him. Cronus had finally completed what he set out to do. Lieroain was dead, and Zelvad is the only one left who could stop him…

And stop him he did. Though as he looked back on the events surrounding Sigard all those years ago, Zelvad began having regrets. He should have stayed and fought by Helena’s side. Maybe then she wouldn’t be gone to who knows where…

Though when he’s not pondering what could have been, Zelvad has been busy trying to retrain old blood and recruit new prospects for the Lunar Fangs. The conversion process has not been easy or peaceful obviously, but it’s a lesson that Zelvad has learned all to well: nothing worth having comes easy. Though he would be stupid to not allow some credit Bria. With her expert handling of some of the more delicate matters, as well as being officially adopted by Zelvad, she has the training that Zelvad promised her as a child, and works diligently to help advance his agenda.

Kin (family): Ziva & Ristel Risten(mother and father respectively) have been secreted away at Zelvad’s request for their own safety. Bria has been adopted into the family and currently serves as Zelvad’s right hand.

Clothing: Presently, Virgil no longer wears formal clothing as it reminds him of the bondage they were subjected to in Sigard, He regularly wears long black pants, a long sleeved white shirt and a black vest.

Accessories: One thing that will never change about VIR's outfit are the goggles around his neck. They have been in VIR's possession since he was found and enrolled into the project. They seem to hold some deep sentimental value to him since everyone who has tried to remove them from his person without his permission has not only failed, but has suffered some sort of physical or mental damage of varying degrees.

During his adventures, Virgil discovered that his goggles were actually enchanted to hold back his full potential. Studying the inscriptions showed Virgil that someone had the forethought to get these to him in childhood otherwise the power within would have killed him earlier in life if left unchecked. Virgil still wears the eyewear around his neck to this day, save for when he sleeps.

The hard leather sheathes for his swords are strapped to his thighs, it being the only place he could hold the weapons without feeling clunky or awkward.

VIR is especially good with magics involving the wind, air, and the like. He seems to have picked up some affinity for fire as well. Through recent studies and experiments, Virgil has been able to draw out more of his fire magics to use for more combat applicable purposes as well as for utilitiy sake. With this amazing progress woven together with already established techniques, subject VIR has truly become a force not to be taken lightly.

Wind's Whispers
Through further development of his abilities, VIR has grown the ability to "throw" his voice across air currents to where he pleases. Mostly used as a diversionary tactic when stealth is necessary, though VIR uses it to communicate across large areas either to someone far away, or to a large mass of people in order to make sure they hear him.

Wind's Freedom
Should long-range capabilities be needed, VIR can shoot/throw a maximum of five objects at once to meet his target from further away than normal by removing the air friction caused by solid masses moving through the air. On the downside, VIR has to be the one to throw it in order for the effect to occur. On the opposing spectrum, he can add friction to incoming projectiles, slowing their speed and in some cases alter their course. It will not stop the object completely though.
It seems he can also reduce the friction on his own person while moving, greatly increasing his maneuverability. Over the years, Virgil has been working to make himself combat ready regardless of where he is. This train of thought has led to making his own breath a tactical option in an attempt to further increase his power. The blasts themselves however are non-lethal, and are only meant to knock back his opponent, while he moves to find something more permanent.

Twister's Fury
When in mid range combat, VIR can unleash a powerful gale from his blade when his magic is channeled through it. The air pressure from this attack has destroyed any wooden target set against him and warped any iron or steel in his way. He needs mere seconds on one target, but will need at least five seconds time to fully charge his attack and hit all targets in his path with devastating accuracy and power.
With continued research on the language of the Ancients, Virgil has managed to knock the time for a full charge down to five seconds with with either blade, though his new blade can now safely overcharge his attack by charging to the original ten seconds by letting VIR create a phrase and repeat it like a mantra while focusing on his charge. Any basic use of this attack can trigger at VIR's will when he swings either sword.

Heat Strike
VIR has become more efficient in close quarters combat over the past couple years. His fire can be effortlessly channeled through his left arm, turning his fist into a fireball if the need arises. It can also be reduced to the size and intensity of an smoldering cherry while carrying the same heat as a bonfire. This mastery of his fire has also allowed him the ability to manipulate minor fires(such as torches, etc.) to enhance his abilities.

VIR’s original sword still has all of it’s modifications, including the heat-resistant barrel, a modification which came with the new blade as well, though now he has a lot more "ammo" for his projectiles now as he's come further into his power.

Likes: Virgil has grown particularly fond of open markets and crowded areas in general, especially after the putting the reconstruction efforts in Aerosia back into place. He also has a special attachment to the people he left Sigard with, as well as a new interest in Talia, a local troublemaker. Her resemblance is uncanny….

Dislikes: Failure is unacceptable to Virgil. Plus, Virgil has an extreme distaste for liars.

Persona:
Virgil has changed a lot since his time in Sigard. Since coming to Aerosia, he's always tried to make sure everyone that came with him from Sigard was looked after, even if he had to suffer personally for it.

Brief History:

Virgil's birth was pivotal as his mother's death was a grace to the project’s funding. Since a good portion of her families' guild's funds went into funding Sigard's scientific endeavors, death caused her guild to completely dedicate the guilds resources to funding research instead of disassociating themselves with the research "in her memory" as they said. With a boost in funding, the administrators pressed deeper into the "elemental warrior" project than they could have ever dreamed. Five years later, the guild approached the project with Virgil and informed the scientists that he showed magical potential and wanted their help to teach him how to use his power for the good of Sigard, and for the good of the project. Since then, Virgil loyally served the interests of his mother's guild and the project, if not Sigard as a whole. During his tutelage, his skills were especially exemplary in bladed combat and thrown weapons, all while honing his magical crafts as well.

Though all of that changed after the battle at Sigard. The elemental warriors that survived the battle, went missing and fled to Aerosia to help atone for the harm they had caused and proposed plans for the restoration of the continent. It took at least a decade, but the Aerosian people eventually came to enjoy and accept the newcomers after seeing them make good on their promises for peace and growth.

Then Virgil found Talia...and then Talia found the goblin...and then the world turned upside down. Not having, or remembering any parental figures, Talia was a regular hellion that always seem to drop trouble in Vergil’s lap, so he decided to keep tabs on her to make it easier to keep her out of trouble. The familial resemblance was uncanny as far as he saw, but sooner or later he would have to solidify those claims...

Appearance: A tall (6’ 4’’), portly fellow with a childish face. He takes after his mother in facial features (bright cheeks, full lips, small nose) but retains his father’s bright orange hair (which curls like his mother’s). He has dark skin and deep brown eyes and a jolly smile. When he’s out and about, he likes to wear bulky traveler’s clothes, including a bright red scarf and bulky jacket. Beneath his portly stomach and wide frame lies deep-seeded muscles that help him carry things at the bakery and go on long hikes. Overall, he’s much stronger than he likes to admit.

Class: Wizard (prefers to think of himself and introduce himself as a Witch)

Weapons: A Witch’s staff carved from an old oak tree (lovingly yet uncreatively nicknamed Oak). He gained this staff at a young age, and as he’s grown Oak has grown with him. Ro uses this gnarled piece of wood as a walking stick, but it also helps him channel his magic and whack bandits on the head (though he’s not a fan of this)

Clothing: Ro is a fan of all kinds of clothing, but he mostly feels comfortable wearing his bulky brown jacket and bright red scarf. His pants and shirt are usually simple and gray, but deep down he loves to wear bright colors when he has the chance. Ro is also a fan of making flower crowns, and if he’s out and about he’ll make one for himself as well as anyone who asks.

Accessories: Ro has an assortment of amulets and trinkets kept under his jacket and around his neck, mainly for good luck. He collects them from various people as gifts, and though they don’t really do anything they make him feel special.

Special Abilities: At the moment, Ro’s powers are focused on plant life and water. He has a way with speaking to the earth, helping plants grow and flourish by speaking to them or coercing them with the core of his being. He’s also quite good at making potions, recognizing different plants and ingredients without a second thought. He has the ability and knowledge to make poisons, but he would much rather make healing potions than anything else.

As Ro’s magic begins to grow, he may find himself to become a geomancer able to move large chunks of earth and rock. He’d have a stronger knack for this if he just gave it a shot, but Ro doesn’t see what need there is to do so when he has no reason to fight.

Some kind this off-putting, others charming, but no one can quite say they’re every seen him frown. This is because Ro likes to keep his personal problems locked away, dealing with them on his own terms. He likes to think of himself as a problem solver, but sometimes he’s so set on helpful someone he becomes overbearing. Often Ro will overexert himself trying to help everyone and making promises he can’t keep no matter how hard he tries.

Brief History: Ronan Hill has been helping his mother run her bakery for as long as he could remember. Once upon a time she was married to Baxter Fardale, but the man ran away and left her, pregnant and alone. Baxter’s family helped them stay above the poverty line out of guilt and obligation, but she started to turn the money down when she wanted to prove she could do well enough on her own. All in all, things worked out, but Ro has always been sensitive about the mention of his father. He loves and supports his mother one hundred percent, and he’d rather pretend that Baxter never existed.

As he grew older, Ro realized he loved nature more than anything else. When he wasn’t working, he’d be off in the fields by himself talking to flowers. Growing up talking to plants, the other children would frequently make fun of him in his youth. As such, he became quite a loner to start.

One day while out in a wooded area, he stumbled upon a Witch named Ephraeli, who’s house smelled like every beautiful flower under the sun. Ro made friends with the old woman who never seemed to age past the year of 80, and over time she taught him a lot about plants and making potions and everything in between. She even carved him his first and only staff, Oak, which grew with him as he did.

Even at the age of 27, Ro still lives out his simple life, visiting Ephraeli and learning from her while working at the bakery. He’s never been a fan of change, and as long as his mother is alive and her business is thriving, he doesn’t quite care if anything ever changes.

Appearance: The first thing you notice when you see brook is all the hair, he wears loose breeches and a rusty bear fur vest, but he is so hairy that you almost can't tell the difference between the vest and his chest which is bare to the world before him, the only gaps in the hair on his chest and arms seems to be deep battle scars mostly from creatures of nature it seems, a large wild rust colored beard is on his face with long wild hair the color of mud hanging from the rest of his head, behind the tangled hair and beard are intense eyes that have a terrifying intelligence behind them.
Class: Druid
Weapons: His bear paw sized hands
Clothing: Bear skin vest, a pair of thick hide breeches
Accessories: A necklace that has different sized canines it can only be assumed that he made it due to the uneven nature of the necklace and the teeth on it
Special Abilities: this is kind of hard to describe, Brook has willpower beyond anything a mortal should possess, he can move a boulder 15 times his own size, he has taken a bullet to the head at close range and not even flinch, but above anything else his willpower allows him to do things others would never conceive(that is the best i can come up with sorry)
Like: Drinking, fighting, sleeping, puzzles, crafting, and his friend Ragnar the wolverine
Dislikes: People in his face, Being told what he can and cannot do, Seeing people being abused or put down
Persona: Brook has an aggressive personality to go with his aggressive appearance, he seems quick to trust(in truth he doesn't mind the thought of death), he is not very approachable seeing as how he will come out the gate either yelling at you or ignoring you till you pique his interest or irritate him.
Brief history: Brook comes from the Valentine Orphanage, a secret facility for testing new combat weapons on civilians, Brook was one of the few to escape during a test that included magical mines, and other such secret projects, his attitude now is due to the way he was treated in the project, he does not fear death because nothing could be worse than dying there at least now he has his freedom.
Kin (Family): Jeoffrey Valentine (now a lunar fang member), And Ragnar whom he considers friend and family not a pet.
Who can play me when i am gone: I suppose i will leave that up to you as i do not know if i will lose internet or just plain not be on due to family.

Appearance: Age has not been very kind to No.Vii, making him look worse for wear. He stands at 5’5” from his hunched shoulders, and has lost more weight to come in at a light 112lbs, though it is pure muscle. His skin has drawn taut from age, and still has a pale squalor to it, despite years in the desert.

Despite the disease, he still has a rather fit body, his travels helping keep him strong. His torso is still wrapped in bandages, covering up to his elbows, which a simple leather vest is draped over for a bit of protection. His legs are strong and less gangly, covered with a brown breeches with a simple string knot, a worn pair of leather boots on his feet. He also has gone to wearing a hood, to help cut down on the wind and protect against the elements. His eyes still hold that vivid green, aem eerie look from under his hood with the chestnut red hair, now graying at the roots.

Class: merchant

Weapons: a simple dagger with a bone hilt, and his prized scythe Verkur

This scythe stands at 7ft tall total, the staff a good 5ft, leaving 2ft for the blade part alone. The staff is made of a hard packed wood that is sanded in a specific way to allow for no real comfortable grip, and to keep it from slipping when held regardless of any liquid it may have on it. Along with it, the bottom part detaches with a twist to reveal a length of chain, starting two feet up from the bottom of the staff, allowing for a two foot wooden section on the end of the chain. Both are inscribed with simple enchantments to prevent breaking or wear

The blade itself is what sets it apart from normal weapons. At a total length of 3ft, the blade is curved in a normal scythe fashion and is made of obsidian and inscribed with three sets of enchantments. The entirety of the blade is completely dull, giving it no cutting edge to speak of at all, making it more for blunt force than anything else, which brings it to the first of the enchantments inscribed upon the scythe.

Pain Drinker: this enchantment is designed to gather and focus negative energy given off by either the user or the opponent, giving it a slow cutting edge. This is shown by a purplish hue forming on both sides. The blade does not become truthfully dangerous until enough time has passed in the battle, or self-harm has been caused to fuel the blade itself. The enchantment does lose effectiveness rapidly, meaning he cannot pause in attack for long, or the scythe will quickly lose any cutting power it has. This does not count personal damage he does to himself as an increase of this weapons effect.

Blood drinker: The scythe can, at great cost of the user, create small bubbles of blood around the wielders body to act as shields, each taking a single blow that he cannot normally defend. Though, for this ability to be used, the wielder must use their own blood, and the more used, the more shields he can create. Though, this can only be used if he causes damage to himself with the blade.

Soul Drinker: While misleading, the scythe can drain small bits of magic from an opponent if they so have it, but it causes the edge to dull with each hit, making it a double edge weapon to deal with. Though, if enough negative energy has been built up, this can be used to guard against one magic spell, but both effects are completely cancelled.

Clothing: a simple leather vest and breeches, and a silk hood. He also wears worn leather boots.

Accessories:
He has a ring on his right finger that he calls white noise. White Noise
The ring was a token of his mentor, which had the capability to house items inside of it without taking on more weight. The ring does this by linking to something his master called a white space, which has a near unlimited holding space.

Special abilities: a Master of poison, No.Vii has gained a large collection of them.

Antidote- the drug used to keep him alive, this drug has a large cocktail of medicine mixed into it, almost a cure-all for most common poisons and illnesses.

Poison of youth: a strange one, this poison helps ease a large amount of pain, while also helping strengthen and relax his body. This allows him to fight for a much longer time and hit harder. Though when it wears off, his body becomes weaker than normal.

Poison of the wild: this poison turns No.Vii into a beast of the wild. He becomes more aggressive, while not ferocious in fights His senses sharpen, allowing him a better sense of smell, sight, and hearing. Upon this poison wearing down though, he becomes muddled and languish.

Poison of the dead: this poison deadens his nerves and slows his heart, allowing him to ignore pain and damage, along with slowing any open wounds. He can't stop moving while using this or he risks the threat of it stopping, unless he takes the poison to keep him alive.

Fever: while in a good fight, No.Vii becomes more eager and fun, making him less likely to ignore those who challenge him.

Grim reaper: when wounded enough, No.Vii enters a crazed state, making him more aggressive and violent, beginning super focused on his opponent. Those who have watched him fight call him the grim reaper for his crazed smile and deranged appearance, along with a more slouched appearance.

Likes: travel, sweets, a good fight.
Dislikes: alchemists, cowards,

Persona: No.Vii had learned patience over the years, his anger tempered and his blood lust calmed. While far from what people would call a bad guy, he would never be considered a good guy. He still craves a powerful fight, wanting to prove that he is the strongest and that his will to live is the strongest.

No.Vii has also learned that he hates cowards, wanting those who start a fight or job to finish it, knowing that running from anything will only haunt you in the end.

History: No.Vii’s earliest memory was being captured at the age of 6 from his home. He spent 7 years under the heavy hand of a mad alchemist searching for immortality. His body was tortured and poisoned more times than he can remember, eventually to the point that his blood now produces his own poison.

At the age of 13 though, before he would hit puberty, he was scheduled to die, being the last of his batch and still yet not having gotten the result that the man wanted. I'm anger, No.Vii killed the man with his own blade and ran into the desert, before getting picked up by a roving band of men. Finding him nearly starved yet still strong, they took him in and eventually got him inducted into the Elemental warrior project.

Years went by with him serving the group, including a mission to Norgard, where they met and captured the missing warrior Vir, taking him back to their group.

During the time there, No.Vii encountered a true battle in the form of the lie and truth, having been soundly defeated and yet still alive, giving him hope of having found a real fight. With the fall of the elemental warriors, No.Vii went off on his own, following the plans to take down any more hidden labs and research of the men, all in the guise to hunt down the embodiment of truth and take him down. He even got false papers to travel under the heading of a merchant to easily pass through towns without drawing attention to himself yet.

Over time he gave up his hunt for the demon, having found something better than the fight, a cause. If he couldn't find his fight, he would make others strong enough to be his real fight.

Hey all. This weekend, lemme tell you. I don't even know where to begin. Clothing: Tobias’s coat is made from a smooth cut of white cloth, while the rest of his clothing is and mixture of chain and leather. The chain covers the more vital areas while everything else is leather that was dyed white to match the cloak itself


Accessories: Tobias wears a bracelet (http://g02.a.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1cVk1JVXXXXcAXXXXq6xXFXXXL/hot-sale-New-fashion-bracelet-new-popular-font-b-Hematite-b-font-font-b-Jewelry-b.jpg) which is also inscribed so that he can summon and dispel his instrument at will. Concentrated effort can trigger his bracelet and transforming it into his grimoire (http://orig06.deviantart.net/7c17/f/2010/005/c/c/grimoire_spell_book_by_moxylyn.jpg), giving him access to some of his more stronger spells.


Special Abilities: Tobias has the unique ability of channeling his magic through sound and music, whether it be vocal or otherwise. With enough force and power, Tobias can make sound tangible, shaping it and direct all sound affected in this manner by his own force of will. Basic uses involve changing pitches or muting the source of the sound altogether. More advanced forms allow him to create multiple sources.


Likes: preserving arcane lore and learning new magic and musical styles


Dislikes: necromancy, oathbreakers, disturbing magical remains, poorly written musical compositions


Persona: Tobias is a very goal oriented individual. Once he makes his mind up about something, he will seek it to completion...for better or worse. Tobias decides against living in the past, preferring to try and make the best out of the situation he is in.


Brief History:


As a child, Tobias never really wanted for much. The Markouth family was one of the noble families that pushed the ideals that set the stage for Queen Glissher’s appointment to the throne. As a family of magic sympathizers, the Markouth family was excited when Tobias began showing at fifteen, especially given the circumstances of his blessing. During a stint of social and financial stress for the family, Tobias figured that he would try and lighten spirits by playing the violin that he had been practicing with since he was ten for his parents.


After a few minutes, rainbow colored ribbons began emerging from both the strings and tobias as they were being played. The colors blended into a warm yellow glow that felt as serene as the sunrise. The peace that came afterwards allowed his parents to look at the troubles at a new angle, steadily making the family’s troubles be dealt with over the next couple of months.


As happy as they were that Tobias had acquired his gift, they knew that if he was without proper training, he would draw the attention of the wrong people. So the search for a tutor began. The teacher they introduced Tobias to on his 16th birthday to learn and understand his abilities seemed a little on the fringe at times, but he was legit. After making a promise to make sure that entrusting this task to him wouldn’t come back against them, the mage that went by the name ‘Corvus Serendis’ soon became his mentor.


The next few months were spent not only cultivating his power through his musical talents by learning musical theory and how to harness his emotions to channel them properly, but in also preparing him for when his spells would not be fast enough to save him if he should come into unexpected conflict. To that end, he also gained moderate training in bladed combat. He was primarily taught to cut and run, learning the non lethal areas to cut at to disable and slow pursuers, being taught that killing was only an absolute last resort.


Once the two areas were satisfactorily trained, and with his parents consent, Corvus gifted Tobias his bracelet and knives and sent from his home to make a walkabout of the rest of the world to gain real world experience in both life and his abilities.

Appearance: Standing around 5’7” and at 149 lbs, he is not an imposing sight. He is not muscular, yet he is also not without a muscle tone that one might associate with a lot of repetitive work. Weapons: An ornately hilted sword and scabbard that rests below the naval sword and scabbard from when he was on the merchants ship, plain small daggers at either side of his lower back.
Clothing: Leather strapped wrist guards that leave free movement from the wrist to the fingers. A light cloak of a dark purple hue, hooded and rides from his shoulders to just below his knees with a bronze clasp emblazoned with a raven under the moon. A tight fitting, no sleeved black tunic with bronze buttons. Pants that are flexible and held tight with leather, without impeding mobility, black in color as well. Traveling boots of a typical brown. (individual climates may alter look). When very casual, wears a few different loose long sleeved tunics, brown trousers and his boots.
Accessories: Mostly broken blade naval sword with a plain brass hilt (finding a picture), Double sheath for his daggers also serves to hold several pouches for ingredients to typical spells he casts.
bring the recently dead back to life as "puppets." use their spiritual energy that was released to view their thoughts and visions of their last few moments. to a very limited extent, steer a creature’s fate toward an end that I determine. summon spirits to distract and scare opponents. manipulate a person’s willpower by suppressing their inner light to reduce their resolve, causing a reduction in physical strength, alertness, and overall will to succeed. This can be expanded to larger areas, but the overall effect will always cumulatively be of the same effect. where those caught in a large, black sphere are bound in darkness, unseeing, blinding those that can see even in the smallest of light. Tarrik is able to move about the Abyss as though in black and white as he is connected to it and anything it touches. Tarrik is able to pull from another’s light and give himself strength and renewed vigor. allows Tarrik to carefully channel the energy of life into decay. This makes Tarrik very vulnerable as there is a lot of concentration involved in separating himself from the decay at the same time. He must be in contact with the item he's affecting and it must have been of a living organism at some point. The amount of decay caused has an exponential correlation to the amount of energy it takes Tarrik to cast this spell. with great concentration, allows for the channeling of the darkness of death into a weapon or object for a single attempted attack, dealing additional damage to a person through the poisonous effect of death on one’s soul. Regardless of the success of the attempt, Tarrik becomes weak after the attack. It is more effective at night, or in the dark, but it’s not a permanent damage. It does take additional time to rejuvenate the soul after this damage, though the healing effects of the sun greatly reduce this time. a buckler sized shield forms and is able to deflect minor magic attacks by removing them from the realm of the living and transferring them into the darkness beyond.

Persona: He is very level headed. When given time to work out a situation, that is exactly what he will do. That is not to say he can't think fast. His intelligence exceeds that of most people, and his control of body and mind is remarkable. He rarely looks uncomfortable, distressed, or anxious. He believes those emotions are signs of a lack of control, and so he dissects and suppresses them. He has not been without joy though. Being on the open seas grew on him and it is something that he gets a strong feeling about. The smell of salt water brings him to a much simpler time, though difficult. He longs for the feel of his mother’s embrace and his father’s strong hands, the family he has long since seen.
Brief History: Tarrik had been young when the wars were ending. His father was involved in the fight, but as an engineer working to create tools of destruction. His mother met his father while she was a barmaid in a town that was a waypoint for the troops defending their land. After the fighting was over, he came back to find that she had given birth to his son. A man of strong resolve, they married not 1 month after he came back to her.
Moving to times more relevant, Tarrik came to Aerosia​ thinking it would be a place more accepting of his skill. It is a fine line he stands between life and death. That is the fate of a Necromancer. Tarrik learned from a young age that he had magical abilities. His ability to manipulate the fate of small animals around him by concentrating was how he first began toying with his powers. He could get a cat to listlessly walk into a crowded street and thus get run over by a horse and cart. And then he would feel the energy released from the cat upon it’s demise. He could manipulate it, read it and discover more about the cat before he intervened. Sometimes, if others weren’t looking, he could even imbue that power back into the cat and it would again move about, but rather dumbly, like it was simply a cask for his bidding. He kept his practices in secret, knowing that this may be the powers many associated with necromancy. To him, it was more a manipulation of a souls restless energy after it passed. Most of the time, he was not a fan of death. He merely took it as a part of life. Birds ate mice, cats ate birds, people at cats. At least some people did. But he had the power to really know them. However, when people began to get suspicious of his powers, he had to tell his parents everything.
He was 13 when he was sent away to keep him safe. His father, Grojan, was a tinkerer who could fix anything that was brought into the shop. His dexterity and broad skills kept him very busy, and so he was unable to travel with Tarrik. His mother, Jessibel was an artist. She painted beautiful landscapes that were sought after by many merchants to sell, with her only getting a pittance compared to what they would make overseas. She was constantly busy on the next one just to keep up with the demand of the merchants, or they would surely go elsewhere, as the always threatened. And as his only sibling, his sister, Lillucia, of 5 years old, was much too young, he had to set out on his own. His mother was able to get him on a merchant ship to an area where he may be able to find someone to further train his skills, but the Captain, Captain Harral Banks, ended up breaking that deal and kept Tarrik on as a deckhand for several years. The Captain knew of his abilities, and though he didn’t see fit to have the boy use them often using them mainly as a threat to keep him from leaving, he did find him to be a strong and agile hand on the ship. He could scrub a deck and climb the ropes as good as any of the others, after being shown the process. And after studying the ship’s rigging, He was able to make some suggestions that allowed the ship to raise sails a whole minute faster, and allowed for better agility when trying to adjust and turn the ship. It would seem he had some of his father’s skill in tinkering. Being on the ship taught him a lot of things, including how to defend himself. He still carries the rather plain, damaged down to the hilt, naval sword with him as a reminder that he sets his own path.

His teacher was strict, and a little crazy, but Tarrik was stronger for it all. And his skills as both a fighter and a necromancer magician were trained to the utmost ability of his mentor. Mostly what he learned was control of himself and the light in him and others. There were not many specific abilities taught, or spells per se, but Tarrik has a strong control over the makings of a strong Necromancer and is able to improvise types of spells at times.Now, he sets out on his own mission to find his family and show the world that Necromancers are not evil, bloodthirsty demons that they are so readily believed to be. And hopefully one day, he can return to his family, even briefly just to see them again.
As far as his time with the Mother Matron, he has been there for the last 2 years. Her tutelage has been partially a mutual benefit for them. Tarrik was seeking somewhere to learn more of the ways of the holy goddess of fire. His belief is that by understanding the flame of life, he can understand the darkness that is death. The Mother Matron was seeking to better understand the magic of a Necromancer, and Tarrik is a reasonably competent body guard. At least competent enough to thwart any attempts against the Mother Matron. Their relationship has steadily grown to a very strong relationship were Tarrik has been able to grow attached to her, confiding in her as he would his own mother, if he were still in contact with her.
As such, he has grown close to Shani as well. Though she is aware of his skills as a necromancer, she is accepting of who he is. They are good friends, and on occasion he has traveled with her at the Mother Matron’s request to aid in her protection. Mostly, they are just able to rely on each other for personal conversation and as someone to have their back.
Kin (family): Distanced and has not seen them for 11 years.
Father(48): Grojan-war engineer turned tinkerer
Mother(41): Jessibel-Artist
Sister(16): Lillucia-Tarrik is not sure how she grew up, but he is sure she is a beautiful young woman by now, like his mother.

Captain Harral Banks: Essentially his captor for 4 years of his formative life, but he was good enough to Tarrik that he grew into a strong, well trained sailor and swordsman.
Necromancer Mentor: They have split paths so Tarrik could discover his own way, but he trained under her for about 4 years.
Mother Matron: He has served as a friend and bodyguard to her for 2 years, though their relationship has turn to her being a maternal figure in his life.
Shani: A close friend of his, he often finds the time to enjoy her company while she is in Kail.
