For over a hundred years, relative peace has reigned in the Galaxy. The five core powers, the peaceful mercantile Kel'cyre, the expansionist clannish Charabidian Enclaves, The Terran Federation, the mysterious Sentinax and the war hungry Lyran Empire have held each other in check with a careful balance of trade, diplomacy and limited warfare. With sword and pen, the five great powers have ushered in an era of peace and prosperity.

This delicate balance was shattered when an alien craft ploughed into the homeworld of the Kel'cyre. Examination of the wreckage revealed that the race that had built the craft was incalculably ancient and powerful. The ship itself was a treasure trove of artefacts from alien civilisations many of the Five powers had never encountered, as well as items from their own histories and well preserved biological specimens. The unknown aliens, all now long dead, where nicknamed the 'Collectors', and the crash sparked a fresh series of arguments in the halls of the Galactic Concert, the diplomatic body responsible for resolving crisis between the various powers. Not only was the crashed ship a treasure trove of information, but its alien computers pointed to the homeworld of the mysterious race, where further secrets could yet be uncovered. For weeks the arguments raged, with threats of sanctions, raids and even open war being bandied about. Meanwhile, Xeno Archaeologists had lifted the wreck back into orbit for examination in a shipyard. Finally, a solution was suggested that passed on a four to one majority in the Concert. The Five Core Powers, with volunteers from the minor races, would form an escort fleet for the restored hulk and follow its navigational computers back to its homeworld to find answers about the Collectors. Only the Lyrans voted against the plan, and they withdrew from the Concert in disgust.

As the fleet was gathering, the Lyrans struck. A massive battlegroup stormed the Kel'cyre system, boarded the Collector Ship, and absconded with it. At the same time, they launched a wide scale invasion of their two neighbouring powers, the Charabidians and the Terrans. It seemed they hoped to find advanced weapons they could use to conquer the galaxy, or at least force concessions from the other powers that would see them ascendant.

The Concert was stunned. Every diplomatic solution had failed, and open war had engulfed the galaxy. Invoking emergency powers, the fleet that was meant to escort the stolen ship was now tasked to recapture it from the Lyrans using any means necessary.

That’s where you come in, Captain.

The Five Core Powers

Arranged in a rough 'pie' shape around the core of the Galaxy, each Core Powers territory is best thought of as net spread across the stars, often with significant overlap. Each Core Power has over two hundred 'garden' worlds (worlds which are habitable to organic life) in its territory, and often many thousands of outposts, stations and habitats. Each Core Power has a population of roughly a trillion sophonts (with the lowest being the Kel'cyre at half a trillion, and the largest being the Sentinax at more than six trillion). With vast economic power, these nations can deploy large, powerful battlefleets, supporting capable ground armies capable of defending and attacking the most hostile worlds.

Government: Federal Superstate with Bicameral senate, elected High Council.
Economy: 'Compassionate Capitalism', largest trading power in the known galaxy
Military: Defence orientated, with significant expeditionary forces for convoy and trade protection.
Racial Speciality: Bio tech and life extension.

Naturally peaceful and diplomatic by inclination, the Kel'cyre are often nicknamed 'elves' by humanity. With long life spans and worlds carefully cultivated for aesthetic beauty, they much prefer trade and talking over warfare. Easily the oldest race in the galaxy (before the Collectors came to light), they are also deeply religious, holding to beliefs in a 'Universal Spirit'. While looking mostly like humans, they are given to a much wider variety of hair and skin colours. The primary driving force behind the Concert, and the chief negotiators between the Charabidian and Terran ceasefire.

Government: Feudal Superstate with overarching matriarchal dynasties
Economy: Capitalist/directed economy hybrid
Military: Aggressive and capable military, rated amongst the most powerful in the galaxy, with extensive experience.
Racial Speciality: Advanced materials science

The 'Cats' as they are occasionally known are a race of aggressive felinids. Divided into fifty clans ruled over by an immortal Empress, they hold decisive action and initiative above all, shackled to a fearsome sense of superiority. They are often engaged in intercine wars, but will focus their attention on any interfering outsider. This makes them deeply unpredictable, something they have leveraged to their advantage over the years. A hundred years ago, they concluded a war with the emergent Terrans that led to the creation of the Terran Federation, the Lyran Empire and the Concert, and are still bitter rivals with both Empires.

Economy: Communist
Military: Highly capable, elite military that is relatively small in comparison to other powers, but punches well above its weight. Believed to be capable of massive mobilisation in short order.
Racial Speciality: computing

The Sentinax were the last race to join the Concert, who were beginning to prepare to wage war on this race of machines. The Sentinax colonise garden worlds by harvesting their resources to create 'server worlds' which are completely inimical to all carbon life, and it was only last minute diplomatic efforts from the Kel'Cyre that prevented another apocalyptic war. Most Sentinax lack physical form, being living programs dwelling on the server worlds. Bodies are often communally owned and 'piloted' by multiple Sentinax working together. Thanks to their nature they have mastered computer sciences and advanced automation, and their precise technical equipment is in high demand at institutes of learning across the galaxy.

Military: Motivated, professional military with diverse training, considered the 'talented generalists' of the galaxy.

A relative newcomer to the Galaxy, the Terrans have had a rough ride so far. Emerging only two hundred years ago, they expanded from their homeworld at a breakneck pace until they slammed into the Charabidian border. War broke out almost immediately and spread across two hundred lightly settled systems known as the 'Shatter Zone'. In the aftermath of that war, a civil war saw the most militaristic elements of the Terrans break away around the Capital World of Lyre. Rather than fight another bloody war, the Terrans allowed the Lyrans to go their own way. The Terrans have become firm allies of the Kel'cyre, and a few decades ago normalised relations with the Charabidians.

Military: Large fanatical force with solid equipment, but highly variable training ranging from conscripts to elite special forces.

Based on the world of Lyre, a colony of the Terran Federation, the Lyrans hate their forebears from backing down from war with the Enclaves before the job was finished, even though almost all external analysts believe that the war would have remained stalemated for a few more decades before the Terran economy finally collapsed. When they broke away from the Federation, they wrestled control of a large number of rich mining worlds and ocean worlds, requiring them to develop a powerful economy quickly. They unregulated corporate development, encouraging outside investment, and the military junta that ruled the colonies quickly became corrupt. Local Generals and Admirals briefly pulled the state apart, but Charabidian predation on their borders caused them to ally together into a new Command Council, establishing a military police force and secret service. Now a century later, they are the youngest super power, an isolationist nation that desires to wipe out all alien races and conquer their 'wayward cousins'

Space is really, really big. Its a lot bigger than people think it is. A lot bigger. The problem with evolving on a small, wet rock is that you set all your scales to the small wet rock and when you get out into the wider universe you fail to realise just how mind bogglingly big space is.

To compound the problem, space is largely boring and empty. Its mainly made up of, well, space and that space doesn't have a lot in it. Most of the interesting stuff happens in the gravity wells of stars, and even then most stars are pretty dull, just massive natural fusion reactors turning hydrogen into helium for umpty-billion years with a few dull rocks spinning around.

Some stars are more interesting. Thanks to luck, some divine spirit or pure statistics, they have rocks that have life on them. And life is very, very interesting. Often, life is very interested in other life. And so it comes up with a bunch of clever ways to get to other interesting rocks, and then decides that actually other life is disgusting and should be neutron bombed. And then it decides that letting a perfectly good habitable world, a 'Garden World', go to waste would be very silly, so they move in until someone else comes along and neutron bombs them.

To prevent neutron bombing (and asteroid slinging, and Kinetic Kill Systems, and any number of other ways of stopping life from living) most sentient life will build warships. Now, even the biggest warship is really, really, really, really small compared to the wider solar system, never minding the whole galaxy. Which means you either have to build umpty-billion warships and somehow crew them to protect the whole star system, or concentrate the dozen you can build where they can do some good. And that tends to be in orbit around a wet rock you own.

This means, that most battles (despite what holo-shows say) do not occur in the starry void, but in the upper orbits of a planet, or on the direct approaches to the upper orbit of said planet. For as long as interstellar civilisation has been around, which is much longer than us, this has been a truism of space combat. This means that even though the laws of physics allows for combat at extreme ranges, in fact most battles take place within hundreds of kilometers, which sounds like a lot, but in terms of space is not even popping to the shops to buy milk.

To approach these problems, most races have developed the same set of solutions, over and over, to build functioning fleets. While it might seem odd that each race has developed a fleet along the same lines, its worth bearing in mind that even though space is big, its the same were ever you go and poses the same challenges in design and logistics. Namely, you have to fit everything and a crew into one metal can, detection is strictly speed of light but communication is not, and that a planet is useless if its blown to bits. Factor in long periods of contact, both peaceful and less peaceful, and its pretty much no surprise that everyone built fleets that function, broadly, the same way using the same tactics.

When comparing ships, its worth remembering their energy profile. A ship loaded down with massive weapons has a massive energy profile, and can be seen and accurately targeted from a long way away, like a Christmas Tree your drunk uncle set on fire. Smaller ships have a smaller profile, but can still draw attention if they fire their weapons in a rapid cycle without letting heat escape into the void. This means dreadnoughts and battlecruisers are much, much easier to shoot at in the midst of combat than a frigate maintaining the same level of activity, so the big boys of a fleet should expect to draw more firepower than their smaller contemporaries. Obviously, races approach this problem in different ways, with different war loads for their ships to either hide them more effectively or pump out more firepower quicker than the other guy can. Neither tactic is 'better' than the other, as its almost impossible to hide in space anyway, just make it harder to get hit in the first place.

The Terran Defence Fleet divides ships into the following broad classes. Each Core Power does the same, and most of the Rim Collection and the Minor races do as well.

Single Ship

The single ship encompasses a broad set of fighters, bombers and combat 'mechs designed for close engagement. Almost all have a crew of one pilot, or for the larger bombers, less than five. Deployed in squadrons of six, each single ship is designed with manoeuvrability and fire-power as priorities, and defence a distant secondary.

Destroyer

Small ships (less than 450m long) designed to make attack runs on larger ships. Often built around a single, capital class weapon they operate in wolf packs to bring down larger prey, and are hunted by Frigates and Single ships.

Frigate/Escort Carrier

Frigates are the front line skirmishers of any fleet. At between 500m and 600m long, they guard the bigger ships backs against Destroyers and single ships, shooting down fighter waves and intercepting destroyers. Escort carriers swap out weaponry for a squadron of fighters, and are mainly found in police and garrison forces, running down pirates and smugglers. This is the largest class of vessel that is still atmosphere capable.

Cruiser/Carrier

The 'poor bloody infantry' cruisers make up the bulk of all the Core Fleets, and are pretty big at about a kilometer long. They are either built around batteries of heavy weapons, or a single spinal mount. Carriers swap heavy weapons for 4 fighter squadrons and often end up leading Frigate Squadrons in smaller engagements.

Battlecruiser/Battle carrier

Battlecruisers attempt to jam a Battleships worth of firepower in a Cruiser speed hull. Bigger than Cruisers at about 1.5 kilometers, they often have a pair of spinal mounts and a secondary battery of turreted heavies. Because of their massive signatures at full operation and cruiser level defences, they have a real glass jaw and the concept has never taken off, but every now and again someone else tries to make it work. The battlecarrier combines cruiser firepower and carrier fighter group into a single large hull, and ironically, works fairly well as a small fleet command vessel or squadron command vessel for cruisers in a larger engagement. Many races convert their Battlecruisers to Battlecarriers.

Battleship/Fleet Carrier

The battleship is a big, nasty brute built explicitly for exercising naval power. Equipped with two or three spinal mounts and several batteries of capital weapons and often over 2 kilometers long, the Battleship can take on and destroy just about anything in space. Fleet Carriers are massive launching platforms for fighter squadrons, carrying 8 squadrons and a battery of capital weapons.

Dreadnought/Super Carrier

Dreadnoughts (also known as 'Super Capitals) are very rare, flagship units. Often built around devastating super-spinal mounts and multiple batteries of very heavy capital weapons, they combine heavy defences with massive firepower. Super Carriers are somewhat more common, and deploy 16 squadrons of fighters into the fray, and are well defended. Super Carriers often function as the fleet command unit in planetary assaults and fleet engagements.

All carriers can be reconfigured to launch drop ships for planetary assault operations, and several races deploy dedicated assault platforms for this express mission.

Weapons:

Weapons fall into three main categories.

Energy Projectors

Including lasers and plasma, these weapons come in two broad types: devastating spinal mounts and point defences. Energy projectors bore through armour and blast through point defences and ECM, but because they draw massive amounts of power and have to be pointing out the front of the ship, telegraph their attacks. Laser point defences are rare, power intensive and very effective, but come with the downside of lighting up a ship for easy attack thanks to their massive thermal signature.

Railguns and Autocannon

Really, really big guns. These take bits of metal and make them go very fast. However, in terms of the distance they have to cover, very fast is still 'kinda slow', so most vessels will use lots of them to smother an area in shots to make some stick. Too small and fast to be shot down, the only defence is armour and not being hit in the first place. Point Defences are often made up of batteries of railguns and autocannon, as they produce less heat than lasers and can fill space with shrapnel and chaff to drive off fighters and blow up missiles.

Missiles

The swiss knife weapon system, missiles are slower than railguns, but have a longer effective range than even lasers because they can correct their flight paths to home in on targets and manage their fuel consumption to cruise longer. Can be shot down by interception systems, and have to penetrate armour, but big batteries of missile launchers can be devastating weapons.

A note on stealth, ECM, shields and gravity.

Stealth is almost impossible in space. But it can be possible to be very hard to detect. By shutting everything down a ships signature can be reduced so that only close range scans and looking out the window will detect it. Signature reduction systems focus on banking heat in specialist heat sinks until they can be safely released. As soon as the ship goes 'active' again, you end up with a massive heat spike that is easily detected by local vessels. ECM (Electronic Counter Measures) is used by all races to try and mask their vessels from attack, and a constant battle is thought between the sensor operators of either side to tune out jamming and get a clean lock.

Shields do exist, but are so power hungry and equipment intensive they are generally found attached to stationary targets such as stations and ground facilities, and these shields generally work by keeping everything out and not letting anything escape. All interstellar ships generate an electromagnetic deflector field to move micro debris, but this has no effect in combat.

All ships FTL drives work to manipulate gravity to create wormholes. While the drives are inactive, they can be used to create deck orientated gravity and protect against acceleration. Most ships are rated for various gravities of acceleration, with the smaller ships able to be rated much higher thanks to the reduced energy costs in protecting them.

Faster Than Light Travel (FTL) and Star System Travel (SST)

FTL is managed through the creation of temporary worm holes. These wormholes are very unstable and require huge quantities of power to produce, and have an effective range of about 150 lightyears, but allow near-instantaneous travel from point to point. During travel the gravity is shut down and acceleration will fully affect the crew and ship, so it is wise to strap in or clip on to something to stop you splattering against a bulkhead. Larger vessels often create wormholes for smaller vessels to travel through first, so they can enter the target zone combat ready and establish a perimeter, but all interstellar ships are equipped with an FTL drive.

The biggest bottleneck to interstellar travel is not distance using this system, but energy. Most ships take several days to charge the capacitors to make another jump possible, so most civilised systems have recharge stations in the outer system that allow for a quicker turn around. Notably, wormholes cannot be generated in planetary gravity wells or too close to a star. Most fleets will therefore warp into the edge of a system, recharge for several days, then move to attack their objectives. Done properly, this will not alert the systems defenders, but many races dot their outer trojans with automated listening posts that can alert them of enemy fleets warping in, giving their reinforcements time to arrive and their in system defenders time to ready.

For Star system travel, most ships use ion drives, which produce a constant stream of charged ions to drive a ship forward. Some advanced races use the creation of steep gravitic inclines to 'draw' and 'push' a ship forward, while more primitive races use advanced chemical reaction rockets or fusion engines.

2. No God Modding. If you created a ship with certain possession, it would be best to leave it as it is. If you say you have stealth equipment on board during the IC, and if it is was not added to the Ship Detail Sheet, it will not fly.

3. Communicate with other RP Players, make co-posts, become social, none of that lone wolf nonsense.

4. When creating a ship weapons detail, please try not to over power.

5. RP is Rated M for Mature. So expect blood gore, horrifying moments, naked ladies...or men, whatever fancy's your taste.

6. Respect your fellow RP Players, no stabbing in the back or killing another character. That is very rude.

Would it be probable to play a Lyran defector? Someone that for her own reasons goes against the warmaster and aids the concert. I'm thinking she possibly will be a half breed, half Lyran / half something else.

Would it be probable to play a Lyran defector? Someone that for her own reasons goes against the warmaster and aids the concert. I'm thinking she possibly will be a half breed, half Lyran / half something else.

I'd say so! That would be an interesting character for sure, though she would probably have a Terran parent (so biologically full human) because the anatomical and genetic differences between humans and aliens are too great to allow hybrids.

A defector eh? Okay, that could give the fleet an edge of the Lyrans defensive capabilities, the number of their ships in their fleet. And I agree about the biological chemistry. The bloodlines of every species is always different. So, gotta be careful. We don't want any hunchbacks of Notre Dames here.

Taionna was born and raised on her home planet. Instead of taking on the merchant path like most of her people who compete with prices and sales. Taionna took an interest in the military. Started at a young age, Taionna was quite fond with Space Fighters. During her time with the Naval Fleet, her commanding officers seen the talent of her skills as she quickly raised up through the ranks.

Years passed when she was just a young ship recruit. Now the youngest Admiral and Commander of the Dreadnought. The Dawn of Light. The Dreadnought was created as the first of several Dreadnoughts in the Fleet. Though not as powerful as it's siblings. Taionna controlled smaller ships as well. Patrolling sectors, protecting supply ships.

Though still young and naive to the Galaxy, she learned quickly of other hostile species.

When the Lyrans attacked the Concert in a recent discover of a unknown ship with ancient and valuable information. Vice Admiral Yinlynn witnessed the attack first hand. Ordering battle ship to defend most of the supply ships and faced the Lyran Dreadnought with the Dawn of Light. Using every able ship to withstand the attack, and defend their home planet. The Lyrans finally retreated with a stolen ship. Vice Admiral Yinlynn was angered and called upon the Fleet to organize defensive perimeters, ready to counter if another attack should occur.

During his time as a Mercenary, Ship Master Verath was once employed with the Charabidian Royals, under the command of the authority of command. The Princess of the Charabidian Royals, Rear Admiral Janessa Daysun, of the Royal Daysun Clan. He was given a contract to battle again'st the Terrans during their war. As the war progress, the Draconia mercenaries were able to withstand the Terran military forces.

After the war and with a peace treaty signed. The Draconians service was no longer needed. However, Rear Admiral Janessa spoke to Ship Master Verath before his departure. Though it was clear to the Charabidians, the clans of the Draconias were scattered and waged war again'st each other on their own homeplanet. When speaking with the Ship Master of such matter, it gave time for Verath to think about since he has been a mercenary for quite some time. As he thought it over on his ship. Unknown course. He finally decided it was time for the Draconias to rise again.

When he arrived to his homeplanet. His ship landed near his clan on the surface. Clan Rinnenth. Greeted by his old fellow warriors, the Clan Chief however did not like his return. The Clan Chief was one of his brood brothers, Merath. Challening the right for the title, and as the eldest Brother of three. Verath fought fiercely again'st his own brother in a hard bloody fight. For years, he battled other clans and challenged each clan chief for the right of converting to his. So far, Verath had managed to convert 2/3 of the Planet population under his control. The Dawn of the Light was the first created by the Kel"Cyre before the birth of two more Dreadnoughts. The Dawn of Light was created for defensive purposes. But it was recommissioned due to its out dated weapons and armor. When the other 2 Dreadnoughts were created, Hammer Fall and Meteor Fire Fly, they were built for invasion purposes. More deadlier in battle then the Dawn of Light. But it was Admiral Yinlynn who suggested it would be wise to send the oldest Ship in the fleet for battle.

The Heavy Double Barrel Plasma Cannons are manned at least 10 crew members. Each Barrel Cannons fires one shot then turns over to the next barrel, giving a 5 second delay per fire. However, if the cannons fire non-stop for 40 shots. The Cannons themselves will over-heat and will need a 10 minute cool down.

The Railguns are also controlled by a crew of 10. Large cannons with a single barrel with electromagnetic high velocity rounds. The Railguns take time to fire each round, if continuing non-stop, the Railguns will over-heat and cool down for at least 20 minutes.

The Ship controls at least 200 unmanned Drone Fighters for both repairs and combat situations. In certain times if need be, the Drones can retrieve life pods floating in space.

The Triple Barren Gun Turrets are effective again'st Space Fighters and Drones in combat situations. When in ranged of incoming missiles, the gun turrets can intercept with the assistance from the forward laser turrets. The Turrets themselves are manned at least 4 crew members.

The Forward Laser Turrets are manned by a crew of 4 as well, the laser turrets capable of shooting down missiles and torpedoes from enemy ships.

The Missile Turrets are manned by a crew of 5. These turrets are capable of locking on Space Fighters and Drones, firing a few missiles to hit their targets. When it comes to a large ship, they are able to lock on their target and give a full barrage.

The Draconian War Ship, was decommissioned on the Draconian homeworld after several major hits near its engine hull. After years of non stop repairs and replacing the metal material, and finding sources for the Power Core. It was said, the Dragon Fang was used by a War Lord Draconian who fought endless battles and survived, becoming the terror threat of Duestea. The ship itself managed to stay in good conditions despite the numerous battles it had been in. The Clan Master of Clan Rinnenth found the ship and recovered it quickly. Restoring the decayed, relic ship back to it's former glory, the Dragon Fang became operational after some time during Clan Master Verath's reign of reuniting the clans of Duestea. Not only the clans he was able to ban together, but the war vessels each clan had either created, or confiscated from employment. The Dragon Fang became Clan Master Verath's personal ship and used it as a threat to other clans who have not been united with his own. Several had rejected the offer, and Verath used the ship to annihilate the rejected clan. Though survivors had surrendered and pledged their service to Clan Rinnenth.

She traveled much, in her travels she met and married a Terran man. Something that was not pleasing to her well placed family. The Sinclairs have been a powerful force since the Lyrans separated from the Terran Federation, serving in many military and government positions as well as owning and operating one of the largest weapons manufacturing companies in the Lyran Empire. Sonia and her Terran husband Gregory Meisterson returned to her homeworld of Lyre where they lived for several years, Gregory being given a position in the family business, managing a small mining refinery. The couple had one child, Quentin and it was shortly after she was born that Gregory was killed in a mining accident. Widowed with a young child, Sonia at the urging of her parents remarried, this time to a more well respectable Lyran man by the name of Victor Clarke the current Chief Operations Officer of Sintaris Industries.

Victor is the only father Quentin has ever known but the two of them have never seen eye to eye about anything. At the first available chance he shipped her off to a boarding school to be rid of her and was glad when she enlisted in the Lyran Marine Corps figuring her to have a military career rather then be part of the family business. Much to Victor's displeasure Quentin is next in line to inherit Sintaris Industries, despite him have three other children with Sonia, Quentin is still technically the eldest and well liked by Byron Sinclair the current Chief Executive Officer of Sintaris Industries and patriarch of the Sinclair family. While still technically serving as a reserve officer Quentin hasn't been on active duty for the last four years, instead taking a role in Sintaris Industries. Her primary responsibilities are ensuring a ever growing market for Sintaris munitions, while being groomed to someday take over the company.

Believing Lyran Empire should always have first pick of all of new Sintaris munitions, Quentin has become a firm believer that should the company wish to prevail it must branch out and began trade deals with the other nations, something Victor has largely been against since she first started looking into it. Though she is the favorite grandchild to Byron, he hasn't been entirely supportive either, but he hasn't shut her operations down completely curious to see where she goes with this venture.

When news of the alien craft crashing on the Kel'cyre homeworld came in Quentin wasn't far off working on a trade deal and was one of the first Lyran ships on scene. She was drafted back onto active duty and worked as a liaison for the Lyran in negotiations for what to do with the ship until she was finally ordered by her military commanders to cease negotiations and assist in a strike against the Concert. Believing that attacking the Concert fleet was foolish as they were vastly out numbered, Quentin refused the order to attack and instead attempted to warn the other nations but was too late.

Since the attack by the Lyrans, Quentin has been placed under arrest along with her senior crew and her ship the Octavian Maiden held in dock as the Concert determines what to do with them. She has been interrogated many times and offered to aid the Concert in the recovery of the ship but has thus far failed to impress any of her captors or prove her sincerity as many believe her to be a Lyran spy.

Details of Ship: The Octavian Maiden is a prototype ship meant to showcase Sintaris Industries' weapons systems. It has many of their products installed aboard the ship to demonstrate functionality of the systems. Including a prototype sensors array allowing extremely long range scans (when the bugs in the system aren't causing it to malfunction). It is a jack of all trades ship having multiple systems. It isn't truly meant to be an offensive ship though it has many qualities to it. Due to the multiple systems installed on it the ship in combat operations doesn't fully fit into one role and can at times can seem like a fragmented offense that doesn't always function fluidly.

I'm definitely interested in this! Do I have to be part of one of the factions/empire though or could I be from a smaller one that is still part of the Galactic Concert but just not as big as the ones listed? I'm thinking no bigger then just out of their local system, maybe two or three systems around their local system at most. I'd be running a carrier mostly, but a couple of other ships too.

Yep, new races are totally OK. They should fall into one of the following brackets:

Rim Power: One of the races at the edge the Core Powers territory, these races inhabit the outer worlds of the galaxy, and have less than 100 and more than 5 garden worlds. They tend to have a limited population due to the small number of garden worlds on the rim, but strong economies based on resource extraction.

Minor Power: A race with 5 or less garden worlds. These can be dotted anywhere, even inside a Core Powers territory. Some operate as 'Protectorates' of the larger powers, and others are independent. This bracket also has the widest spread of age. Most minor powers are very new on the scene, but others are the last remaining core systems of once great empires, that centuries ago spanned hundreds of worlds.

I'm going to be updating the ship building rules and writing a section on how space combat works in this setting (including FTL travel) so that everyone has an idea of the comparative tech level of the setting.

A literal battle station with an engine, Prometheus is a lumbering fortress that brings the hurt from the back lines. Prometheus' primary role is to support smaller ships through the use of its manned and unmanned single ships. She is also designed to make major repairs to other ships, either in its maintenance bays, direct docks, tow cables.

Prometheus depends on her fighter escort to defend itself and support the fleet. While it does have some firepower independent of its fighter escort, Prometheus is vulnerable to counter attack, being way to slow for any type of evasive maneuvering. She's deadly, but caught by herself and she's easy prey for an organized force.

Inside Prometheus' depths is a machining facility capable of forging replacement parts for the Terran fleet, in case it is every stuck somewhere without a way home.

Finally, as a last resort, Prometheus can be converted into a stationary space station. The Boeing engine becomes a power-plant, a process that is not reversible.

Hornets represent the very best of the Terran Navy's fighter squadrons. They are fast, extremely agile, and heavily armed. Two plasma repeater rifles, two rapid fire ballistic shoulder mounts, four long range rocket packs, and an Apoc Heavy beam make up the Hornets offensive capabilities. Wasps are not nearly as fast as their Hornet cousins, but their payloads can certainly make up for the lack in versatility. Each Wasp carries 18 Micro-Hydrogen bombs. Intruder Class Dropships have one job: Get the ground forces on the ground as quickly and safely as possible. They have no weapons, but each dropship bears 20 point defense turrets to intercept incoming missiles while entering atmosphere. Also protecting them is an extremely thick sheet of armor. After all, if it doesn't make it to the ground, it's failed is true purpose.

The Prometheus is fine, except for the space fold system, (most of that is already done by the standard wormhole drives) the shields, and the various repulsor/tractor beams. Strip those out and she's good to go. I quite like the fact she can be converted into a station, actually, thats a pretty neat idea.

Hybrid classes are fine, but you should think about what the hybrid is sacrificing to try to achieve the role of two ships. Also, Cruiser is a very broad class. It can include light cruisers (patrol and scouting vessels) Armoured Cruisers (battleship/Dreadnought escorts), heavy cruisers (Smaller than a battlecruiser, but bigger than a standard Cruiser) and even dedicated AA platforms and assault ships.

I would also ask everyone to check that your ships follow the basic ideas laid out in the first post (so no shields, and no massive flight groups) so that no one is going to be overshadowed when the shells start flying.

Okay I have the written parts done so I suppose I can post them up now. If you want me to change/explain anything then ask me to. In fact I think I may need to explain a whole lot about the minor race/faction my character and ships are from (and maybe some of the tech they use)

Background: Taylor Redmont, the only child of former General Xavier Redmont, she has been in command of Special Operations and Tactics (SOAT) since she formed it when she was 28, and has seen combat in various former nations on their homeworld. I am still working on a lot of thing for them but this looks like a good place to develp them further and even flesh out some characters for the species to.

Alright... I think it's finally done. I do want to point out that, while it does carry a substantial amount of fighters, not all of them are usable at any given time. The first number represents the maximum number of Fighters and Bombers it can carry. The second number is how many fighters and bombers are ready for deployment at any given time.

Yep, that number is still too big by almost a factor of 10.

Can you bring the flight group down to 96 or so fighters/bombers, all classes. No problem with you having reserves, but thousands of fighters is just impractical and over powering. A super capital carrier is on par with the Nimitz of today, and I think the Nimitz class has carriage for about 100 fighters.

Skills: Vincent is a strategic genius when it comes to space combat, his skills on the ground however are terrible. Not very strong or physically imposing, prefers to out-think his opponents.

Vincent grew up during the Shatter Zone wars between the Terran and the Charabidian Enclaves. His parents were killed when he was just 14 years old, and he vowed to someday make a name for himself in the galaxy and to keep innocents safe from the government’s wars.

He moved to the Kel'cyre Empire when he was 18, and began training in their military, as he has a strong dislike for the Terran Government. Once his tour of duty was done, he bought himself a ship and began selling his services as a trader and escort for convoys. Although no one can prove it, a few convoys have disappeared under his watch, leading everyone to suspect him of pirate activities. He slowly grew his fleet to include almost an armada, but weakly armored and low quality weapons due to being civilian. Edit for age. As he got older, Vincent began to use the Kel'crye body modifications to his advantage. Almost 50% of his body is now mechanical, which leads to alot of problems with EMP based weapons.

When the Lyran Empire struck, he was one of the few to jump right into action and help escort the civilians to safety, for a small fee of course. Now he has joined the fight with the Concert to regain the alien ship, and maybe make a profit off some parts.

Once a top of the line Terran Battleship, it was decommissioned and marked as scrap due to it's age. How Admiral Vincent got his hands on it, nobody knows.

The Plasma Cannons take a full minute to charge up, and the same to cool down, so one shot every 3 minutes. Fires a bolt of plasma at the target that burns on contact, melting most Civilian and Black Market amours on the market today.

The EMP cannons are designed to target enemy subsystems such as the engines, as such they can fire quickly for a short time. They can fire continuously for 60 seconds before they need a 5 minute cooldown.

The large Railguns are the pride and joy of the Immortals Constitution, designed to launch heavy payloads at enemy ships. Can fire a single shot every 3 minutes, eliminating the need for a cooldown period.

The Drone Fighters are designed as multipurpose ships, to be either fighters or bombers. As such they are mediocre at best for both roles.

The Energy Deflector is designed to divert incoming energy away from the ship and off into space. This has led to some accidental friendly fires as stray shots bounce onto its own fleet. The Nanites in the Tritanium armor repair the hull as damage occurs, but at a significantly reduced rate to what a human could. However nanites can work in FTL where humans cannot. The Nanites cannot distinguish between human and metal due to programming bugs, so anybody caught in the damaged zone has the potential to be killed.

The Western Quasar has a mostly unknown background, what is known, is that it was won in a game of cards by Adams. He took it, and began using it for less than legal activities. It’s a few steps under the flagship of the fleet, but still can pack a big punch, the Triple Barrel Railguns take 90 seconds to reload each barrel. This eliminates the need for a cooldown, but means it fires very slowly compared to others of this kind.

Details of Ship: A heavy warship, the Charabidians Battlecruiser program was proved a failure by the conflict in the Shatter Zone. All remaining Crusader Class Battlecruisers where going to be scrapped, before a Charabidian officer saw a Sentinax Battlecarrier in action. The resulting report saw all Battlecruisers converted into the new heavy carriers, with limited production resuming of the hull as it was proved a flexible, successful design. While still fairly fragile for a ship its size, its cruiser level firepower combined with carrier capacity makes it a jack of all trades vessel. The three Ascendant Class assigned to the fleet saw heavy action protecting civilians during the Lyran attack, and distinguished themselves with honour during the bloody counter attack, even as their sister ship the War Maiden was destroyed in a close in battle in Kel-Cyres upper atmosphere.

Designed to shift huge quantities of fuel, water and compressed atmosphere components, two of the Serfs are also functioning as massive hydroponic gardens in case the expedition enters deep, uncharted space, and a third has been converted into a hospital ship. Originally the fleet was supported by sixteen of these titanic vessels, but half the fleet has been assigned to the relief efforts on Kel-Cyre.

I'm going to say no to a Terran Kel-Cyre hybrid. Its just not biologically possible.

And when I say 'miniaturisation' I mean 'engineering things smaller', like the fact that in the sixties they ran the math for the moon landing on a bunch of huge computers in a lab, and now you could run the same math on your phone. Terrans are the recognised experts at that because Earth was such a resource scarce world in comparison to some other home-worlds.

Character Appearance: Primordus, much like all other Sentinax-Beta Units, holds no distinct design features and looks nigh-on identical to his brethren. However, unlike his other Brethrun, Primordus is coloured white and red in opposition to his usual brethren's colour scheme of black and blue.

The two prongs at the side of his 'head' are also far longer and curve slightly backwards as a display of his position within the Sentinax hierachy.

Similar design features are only found in the other 10 Commander Units, though the colour scheme change is held alone by Primordus.

Name: Sentinax-Beta Prime-1 'Primordus'

Age: 2140 (1900 of these were spent within Sentinax-Alpha Prime-1 'Birth's' mainframe as a companion system and oddity within the Supercomputer's mainframe)

Species: Sentinax - born upon an evolved Garden World at FTL-less Spaceflight level - found themselves underground for the first 200 years of their existence, buried beneath the surface in ancient Precursor ruins. Trying to discover what they were and why they were born into the world, they eventually ascertained that they had been contacted by a being from the surface - a synthetic form, much like themselves.

Guiding the race that called the world home, the only surviving Sentinax-Alpha was drawn up from beneath the surface. Contact with the fully fuctioning, super-computer based A.I was initially regarded as incredible, though as the Sentinax-Alpha began to replicate itself and reproduce Sentinax-Betas into the Organic's computers, there was panic. Thanking the A.I System for drawing them from beneath the surface, the Sentinax-Alpha - now named Birth - realising that his people needed a home, swallowed the Organic A.I into the first constructed Server, creating the second Sentinax-Alpha before using its Nuclear launchcodes to force a nuclear winter upon the world, wiping out its organic populace after ascertaining that its interference would prove to be debilitating to Sentinax interests.

These actions went largely unnoticed by space-faring civilisation, and before long Sentinax forms were forged and made to harvest the world, slowly turning Sentinos Prime into the first of the Server-Worlds - an entire planet turned into a machine capable of fulfilling Sentinax needs. Once the Sentinax had improved upon Organic space travel, they set to work turning three other worlds in the system into Server-Worlds, before harvesting enough Helium-3 from the Setinos Prime's three Gas Giants to create the first viable FTL system - now outmoded by new Sentinax Class engines, based upon additional blueprints found in other ruins beneath the surface of Sentinos Prime. Once able to reach the stars, the Sentinax began to spread through what is now known as 'Server Space' to Organics, forging worlds of interest and mineral value into Server-Worlds.

150 Anti-Missile Placements: Including turrets built for the sole purpose of ejecting superhot refuse from the ship's core in order to misdirect heat-seeking missiles, The Digitalis also comes armed with 75 Voltrax laser turrets, utilising energy harvested from solar radiation to destroy missiles before impact can be made.
125 Anti-Fighter Unmanned Sentry Turrets: Physically unmanned but with thousands of Sentinax units running each one, the Anti-Fighter Sentry Turrets align themselves along the ship's hull, keeping an ever watchful eye over the battlefield and the dogfights within the area. Whilst the anti-fighter turrets outside of the hangers operate much like gauss cannons, with slow yet powerful single shot fire being used to destroy larger carriers, these unmanned sentry turrets instead act more like powerful machine-gun turrets, with quick often unprecise firepower being used to dismantle enemy squadrons.



Armor: Super-Heat Conductive Tritanium-Precursinium Armor Plating: Whilst Tritanium was at first being installed into the Sentinax Battleships for Tritanium's incredible strength and hardness, the super-heat conductive element of the armour plating was added into the vessels when the usage of two Helios Class Plasma-Beam Cannons became too much for the ship's hull. On The Hand of Birth's conception, Birth demanded that metal salvage be taken from unnecessary Precursor artefacts in order to be refit and reverse engineered into 'Precursinium' before being woven into the Tritanium armour plating almost as though it had been incorporated on an atomic level. This mixture brings great strength to the vessel and along with the ability to be able to contain the heat given off from its own weaponry, the super-heat conductive material covering the ship also helps to deal with attacks using plasma based weaponry, spreading the heat throughout the hull to ease the cooling process.


Power Core:
Four Linked Fusion Reactors: The four fusion reactors are used together to make sure that the ship runs smoothly and operationally at all times. Two of the four fusion reactors are dedicated to fuelling the weapons systems (bar the two Helios Class Plasma Cannons at the head of the ship), keeping them active during a battle; when not in battle however, these Reactors are used to power the ship's World Forge. The third is used primarily to control the engines, the gravity forge and the FTL drives, keeping the ship moving and comfortable for any organics who may step aboard. The final reactor is only turned on in a case of emergency - if the other three reactors have been sabotaged or have malfunctioned.
Two Additional Fusion Reactors: These two additional reactors power both of the Helios Class Plasma Cannons, making sure that they are constantly combat ready whilst catering for their high-energy needs. The backup generator also has feeds to these Cannons, though one reactor for both cannons works far slower than two for two.
Small Tertiary Fusion Generator: This reactor is almost insignificant and is only used to power the often unused life support systems that have been installed on the ship since the Sentinax found common ground with races of the Concert.
Small Solar Harvest Array: Intended to only power the Voltrax anti-missile guns, the Solar Harvest Array also provides some backup power to the ship, intending to act in place of the Fusion Reactors whilst the backup is brought online by the units present.


Details of Ship: Not much is known about The Hand of Birth, as the Concert's mission against the Lyran threat will be its first outing outside of Server Space. Its details are mostly classified and even some Sentinax Units do not know its functions or its origins. Sitting as the most powerful ship ever conceived by the Sentinax, the vessel stands as a bright indicator to the progress of Birth's plan for The Bornstellar Server. Joining the Concert's fleet, the vessel brings its firepower, its odd elegance and its vast mystery to the combined force.

The ship - since being reported as seen journeying to the rendezvous point with the rest of the Concert - has caused worry within the other members of the Concert due to its vastly different design - in terms of architecture and layout - in comparison to other recorded Sentinax Vessels. Whilst there are obvious signs of Sentinax ownership and use, the conception of the ship has worried some scientific communities into believing that the synthetic species has finally succeeded in reverse engineering a Precursor battleship. Whether this is true or not seems to be something that the Sentinax are not in a hurry to prove or disprove.

Details of Ship: The Purity is the lead ship in a class of at least four known examples, with one of these ships present during the attack on each Core Powers homeworld. Imperial, if you don't mind playing a character that is barely considered a friendly you can be an officer on the Octavian Maiden. Being as Quentin isn't gonna be on the ship someone on ship will be needed. I was gonna use my secondary character Maxell Klien but I am open to sharing the ship.

Sitrep:

The Silesia 252 system is a wash of radiation, asteroids and dust clouds, so sensors and communications are somewhat compromised. The deadfall torpedoes and missiles are attacking just about everything in the fleet, and we have about 5 minutes before the frigate squadron boosting around the star catch the rear of the logistics squadron. The force in front of the fleet (six more frigates and the two light cruisers) are heading for the destroyer and frigate vanguard, so they will be the first into the furball.

The objective is to reach the large recharging station in low orbit over the gas giant, currently the frigates and light cruisers are in your way.

The boarding Action:

The mechs are all being coordinated by the stations central computer, which Quentin might be able to convince to stand down with her inside knowledge . . . The station is well stocked with raw materials and parts, and weapons, so it will seem like the Lyran squadron we ran into had planned to use this base to raid the Kel-Cyre interior as the war raged on.

The Pursuit.

Pursuing ships can get a few kills in at this point. The two light cruisers will escape (They where further away and can accelerate very fast) but the remaining 8 frigates are up for grabs.

Is the station's ship an AI? I was thinking with all the planning and carrying out of the attacks the Lyrans didn't deactivate Quentin's security clearances. Though it would be fun having her convince an AI that she is still on the side of a Lyrans. Also I imagine they booby-trapped their supplies before leaving, seems like a very Lyran thing to do. Instead of just blowing them up let's take out a few of the enemy too. Mind if Quentin points that out?

Disruptor Ammo most likely to be used for this mission. Sort of like EMP. Disrupts anything electromagnetic, fries out their system or overload their programming. Something the Dragonoids fail to have, since they are only use to shooting fleshy objects.

The station will have an interface, but not a 'true' AI. Quentins clearances have been revoked, but she might be able to think of a way of shutting down the core.

The supplies won't be booby trapped, these are the supplies the Lyrans were planning on using, but Quentin might suggest that they might be.

Heyo~! Double post I know but I typed up my idea for my fleet/group and I just need to know if you GM's approve and if so, ill get to work on character sheets and ship sheets. If not I can always think of another~

Uroboros is a citizen army formed under the pretense of protecting the Deep Space colony's from wild creatures, pirates and raiders. Since its conception over 400 years ago, it has evolved from a simple handful of old tech ships into a force to be reckoned with and operate under the new motto 'Of the people, for the people and at a minutes notice.' and offer help not just to colonists of Deep Space, but anyone who sends a request for help to one of the colony's the group has ship's at.

Uroboros is known not only for their charitable approach toward's everyone in the Deep Space colony's as they voluntarily defend the settlements but help care for the displaced from the war, but also for the fact they have a tendency to hoard technology and re-purpose old tech, resulting in much of their equipment, weapons and ships being highly modified. They are also extremely aggressive scavengers, claiming and recycling everything that can be melted down and turned into new materials for weapons, medicine, armor, uniforms and so on after they arrive to a major wreck site.

Uroboros is a multi-racial organization as well. Regardless of who you are, what you believe or what race you are, if you swear to race to the peoples defense in their time of need regardless of the circumstances, you are allowed to join Uroboros, granted that they also require soldiers to be physically fit or combat able. Anyone found to fail the minimum requirements for physical fitness due to injury's or lack of exercise are always placed on medical leave until they pass the bare minimum.

They also have an extremely simplistic ranking system as show accordingly: Volunteer > Lieutenant > Vice-Captain > Captain > Vice-Admiral > Admiral.

Admiral is the highest ranking position of the fleet and commands the Mothership. There is only one given Admiral at any time and in the event that the current standing Admiral passes, the Vice-Admiral will step up and claim leadership. The position of Admiral is both one of leadership and an inspirational position as the Admiral lead's his men by 'example'. Meaning that his every action is to set an example and show the ideal's that Uroboros as a whole stand's for.

Vice-Admiral is a position much like Admiral, but they tend to serve as the more strategy minded backup leader. There is only one vice-admiral at a time and the Vice-admiral changes when the Admiral gives the reigns of Uroboros to another.

Captains and Vice-Captains operate much in the same way as Admiral's do, except they command the many, various frigates and destroyers in the fleet. They too are upheld to the same expectations as an Admiral morally. The only way to become a Captain is to be given the tittle by the admiral, who by tradition only assigns the position of Captain to those who they trust on a personal level.

Lieutenant is a tittle that can be given to someone by the Captain or the Admiral at any time and is usually a tittle for people who have a valuable trade skill, such as engineering, pilot and flying skills, Medical experts and so on.

Most of the collective fleet is scattered, spread out across all the various Deep Space colony's. The rest of the collective fleet is made up of Destroyer and Frigate class vessels with fighters and bombers and other single man ships. The capital ship, 'Mothership', is the only ship that far exceed's what Uroboros typically has, being both gargantuan in size as well as on par if not exceeding 'Dreadnought' class ships.

The reason why there is such a huge difference between Mothership and the rest of the fleet is because Mothership was designed for highly aggressive attacks or defending a singular yet well fortified station, colony or place and places an emphasis on being able to carry around the materials, ships, Mobile Suits and soldiers needed for such invasions. The rest are Frigate or Destroyer class due to the fact that Uroboros has a quick and aggressive approach to their attacks, as well as the fact they are supposed to defend or fight against pirate's or raider's.

Uroboros fleet by far is not meant for interstellar level conflicts due to the fact most citizen soldiers are volunteer's and not actual soldiers. Hence, they break normal naval rules of engagement and adopt unorthodox strategies to compensate for their lack in size and skill as a military force.

Please read the construction rules very carefully when you design your ships, and bear in mind that most small ships can only deploy a handful of fighters at a time.

Very similar to the Minutemen. It is a primary inspiration, but liberties were taken to preserve its unique element. The tech hoarding and material scavenging being one such element, but mostly the idea that the other races could band together for a common purpose to make life for everyone better is the main theme.

That and it took snipits of inspiration from the rebel alliance in Star Wars.

As for the fighters, I am very aware of how many the small ships can carry and it is an intended design I am planning for them. To be able to carry a few, or for the deep space colony's to have several dozen docked in the hangar bays if anything.

A good idea is to always work on your stuff in Word. That way you can save it and won't lose it in the event of an internet outage or something like that. RPA's recover feature is a bit spotty.

It is theorized that much of the Mobile-suit chassis and armor variants are inspired and derived by the chassis and platting of 'Ironsides'. Background: A nearly fully synthetic human, a byproduct of decades of bio-engineering and research by Uroboran engineers, Hanz is a Lyran turned cyborg after a grievous injury that completely immolated and destroyed his old organic body.

Originally a volunteer that joined up after Uroboros made a recruitment run on Fasch when he was 17, he served as a mechanic and pilot for nearly a year until he got caught in a battle against an elite Squadron of Lyran fighters. They destroyed the squadron he was in and most of his body, but Uroboran medical staff received and brought him back from the dead in a new synthetic body. The only thing that is still human about him is his brain, which is inside his new body.

Years later and a number of highly successful airborn operations, he gradually rose up the ranks from Volunteer to Lieutenant and later Captain of his own Squadron on the Mothership. His service record would make many pilots think twice about facing him in a mock battle as he has faced and destroyed many enemy ships ranging between several hundred sentinax drones, Lyran, Terran, and Charabidian fighter vessels and a number of large vessel kills: Several destroyers and frigates and on one occasion a battleship.

His past life was largely unremarkable though. Most of his youth was spent as a farm hand. Son to a farming farmer and livestock handler on Fasch, his reasons for joining seemed to stem originally from a sense of boredom of farm life, but his reason for staying was the excitement that fighting brought him as well as the ability to travel and see many different worlds and people along the way.

He comes off as a rather rough speaking youth. Honest to a fault and very direct with his words, he has a rather fiery temper, but a skill in dog-fighting to match and back up his rather sharp words. He has a deep hatred for Sentinax and believes they are an abuse of technology that need to be scrapped and destroyed. Ironsides being the only exception (albeit he has a rather guarded and suspicious attitude towards him when they interact). He believes with every fiber of his being that war with the sentinax will be unavoidable, but Shiro rears back his viscous nature towards them and keeps him on a short leash when around them.

'Swarm' is the codename given to her nano-machine type but on the defensive she can dematerialize and speed away for several moments before reforming herself. Offensively, she can use her swarm nanomachines to rend and tear flesh and when focused, pierce armor and heavy armor.

Her Swarm bots are taxing to her fatigue though. She becomes incredibly tired after prolonged use but in short attack and defensive bursts or very short terms uses, she can use them without tiring herself.

Background: (Public) Originally a notorious mercenary from the Dragonoid worlds, she was known for not only assassinating high profile political targets but also pillaging heavily guarded and high reward trade vessels becoming wanted for the murder of dozens of core world delegates and pillaging approximately several hundred trillion credits worth of trade goods and shooting anyone that got in her way.

After she became an older, more mature woman in years, she retired from her life of heavy crime after creating and establishing a vast black-market network around the galaxy, running many smaller gangs and controlling the flow of credits and distribution of illegal weapons, goods and highly classified information in outlaw space.

The last Uroboran admiral however approached her with an express desire to integrate her into Uroboros ranks, giving them control over a huge trade network and access to an information network in exchange for complete and total absolvment of criminal charges of terrorist acts against the peoples court and the outer colonys and she agreed.

She now serves on Uroboros as a public relations representative and trade expert. Many unbeknownst of her actual past or the actual value she represents to the Uroboros as a whole.

(Secret) Born and raised on the homeworld Ru-Krux, she was adopted, trained and raised by the shadowy and secret division of Uroboros, the Blackguard.

Much of her training was that of an infiltrator, assassin and a woman who could easily blend into any social field she wished too.

When she was 16 and she finished most of her training, they placed her amoung a band of mercenaries who were all members of the blackguard, operating under the guise of a mercenary crew that took any job, no matter how dangerous or dirty.

While serving as a mercenary, she was tasked with the assassination of over a dozen core world representatives who threatened no only the Uroboran agenda, but also threatened to destabilize peace and freedom for the Outer colonys under Uroboros protection.

Serving as an informant for the admiral and over a very long term process, she ascended the ranks of the mercenary crew and at the previous admirals orders, requested she build an intergalactic trade market and information network. In doing so, she helped form the backbone of much of Uroboros current knowledge of intergalactic polotics as well as fleet deployments and major defensive installations.

her position here has helped the Uroboros flagship remain in hiding up until now as well as most of their smaller fleets and defensive installations, feeding valuable intelligence to the Admiralty which in turn, can order fleets into different places to remain undetected by those who would seek out and destroy the militia.

Currently nobody save for the admiralty and other intelligence expert know who she really is. Even the current admiral does not have full access to her current files, meaning everything about her is largely a mystery to shiro, save for the fact he knows shes part of the Blackguard and very valuable to the Uroborans.

The ship she escaped on however was badly damaged and she eventually drifted for half a century in deep space on ice until a Kel'Cyre Bio-scientist found the ship and the egg on accident.

After she was unthawed and hatched, the mad scientist ran many highly illegal experiments on her as well as force feeding her Terran and Lyran remains from his many victims that he experimented, dissected and studied.

This force feeding was designed to turn her into a Bio-weapon he could use to control a horde of Viridis when she would eventually metamorphosis into a Humanoid/Viridis hybrid and she eventually formed her cocoon and began the long growth cycle.

Before she could hatch however, Shiro and a number of volunteers before he became admiral found this weapon lab based on a rumor and killed the scientist and everyone within except for the cocoon. When they realized what it was, they took the cocoon back to the Mothership and put this Queen on ice before she could hatch and she still remains in the Supermax security wing of the Mothership, on Ice with her cocoon very close to hatching should she unthaw somehow.

Scattered all across the hull of the ship. The Tri-Barrel turrets are rated to short and medium distances of engagement but also capable of long range fire, though accuracy is low. Of an obviously lower caliber than the Plasma batteries, the Laser batteries target fighters or anti-ship missiles and gun them down.

Defense Capabilities:

Mothers Authority: With proximity comes the greater ability for the automated AI's to hack enemy ships that rely severely on electronics to operate. Destroyer, Frigate and Carrier class ships at 'close range' can be hacked and shut down externally. Sentinax ship's are immune to Mother's authority.
Anti-Missile Chaff Ejection Defenses: Ejecting super-heated waste from disposal processing unit's scattered all across the hull, the ship has the capability of defending itself from being impacted by missiles.
Reboot: Uroboros is well aware that the ship rely heavily on electronics's and computing tech to properly function. Thus they have in place the REBOOT system. An automatic, anti-electronic and electrical disruption system in which the system stats are mirrored on servers located all across the ship as well as self-repair robotics in place to repair damaged wires and other machines from electrical dammage and reboot them. In this sense, the complex electronics and electrical systems aboard the ship are completely protected from electronic warfare and EMP weapons in a sense. Though its not perfect as even a temporary attempt to hack or an EMP attack can result in parts of the ship going down for a very short period of time.


Armor:

Slabbed Alumicsteel Hull: An Uroboros specialty Aluminum, Ceramic and Steel composite hull. The hull is slabbed meaning it is extra thick and will shrug off weaker types of explosives and most ranged attacks that are not fired at Medium range or closer. (This excludes Super weapons and the hull will still absorb most attacks very well)


Power Core:

Anti-Matter Reactor: Mothership has an EXTREME need for power in terms of all the onboard systems, defenses and whatnot it runs. Thus when it was initially constructed, Uroboros engineer's lifted a Anti-Matter engine from a Sentinax ship then after unraveling the tech behind it, they constructed a self-generating reactor in the belly of the ship to power the entire thing, now and forever or until they gut the reactor and replace it with something better.
Quad (Large) Fusion Cores (2): In the event of the Anti-Matter reactor sustaining too much dammage to continue operating or is shut down, there are two set's of four Fusion reactors to provide emergency power to the entire ship until the Anti-Matter reactor is brought back online. They have alot of power reserved in the reactor's but cannot generate power themselves so their use is finite. Intended to help Mothership limp out of a fight if she takes too much dammage.


Details of Ship: The ship was meant for one thing - Pure and simple intimidation tactic's and invasion. Its massive, girth hull making it apparent that it will make most ships seem like a dwarf in comparison.

This ship serves as the Flagship and command-center of any and all Uroboros operations throughout the galaxy. As leader of the Vanguard fleet, it houses ten's of thousands of volunteer's for a large scale attack or invasion and enough firepower packed into it to be an extremely heavy hitter in a fleet battle.

The ship's defense systems are all automated. Instead of gunner's manning the cannons, you have programmers registering RF-ID tags and marking enemy ships for the turrets to track and destroy. While energy extensive and costly, it saves on valuable manpower that can be put to use as boot's on the ground.

Internally, Mothership houses rescources gathered by the Vanguard fleet after battle, as well as supplies that comes in from the Colony's and various weapon development lab's. Space is finite in the ship due to it being a centeral command for Uroboros so it also houses massive cryo-storage facilities in its hull where the bulk of all it's passenger's stay in cryo-sleep until they are pulled out in the event the Anti-Matter goes offline or they are about to go into battle. At about any time, Uroboros only has around a thousand or so people out of cryo-sleep. Usually engineers, but pilots, regular volunteers and specialists in general are kept out of cryo-sleep.

Here in the ship, almost all tech modifications and new ships and weapons are created and tested here before they are standardized and approved for field testing.

Additionally, all the external cannon and turret defenses are all compartmentalized into the hull itself. Mostly it was a design choice by the previous admiral to not only hide what the ship was capable of but give enemies that got too close a nasty surprise.

Most volunteer's are not usually assigned to the ship due to the fact that it's the Vanguard fleet and they see the roughest and largest amount of action. Only the volunteer's who swear the fealty oath to the Admiral and donate their blood for the medical staff are allowed onto the ship, though nobody really knows what they use the blood for. Its assumed that its for medicinal records and future practices, which is partially true, but the admiralty and medical staff have never really commented on the matter officially.

Lastly, the ship itself is not moved by standard engine or thruster systems. Rather, it is using a new, experimental thruster system created specially by the engineers using a ring in the rear of the ship that moves in a 360 degree spectrum, allowing for sharp turning and unexpected potential for evasive maneuvers. The ring converts the anti-matter power into energy that said ring shoot's out, causing the ship to move forward. It has slower thrust compared to thrust engines most ships use, but it gives it high maneuverability and a much lower energy demand by comparison.

A bit more unique in design compared to the other ships, it is a mix between an frigate carrier and an anti-ship carrier, and serves its purpose very well as damaged fighters or allied ships that are rated to land in its four hangar bays can drop in for a quick resupply of ammunition and a fusion core swap on their power systems or for some light repairs.

Chameleon Skin Stealth System: An experimental stealth technology developed by Uroboros engineers, the ship's advanced sensors will pick up shapes and colors in a short proximity around it and it will camoflauge itself as the void of space or debris to avoid visual or sensoral decetion by enemies. The ship must remain in a low power and engine output for this system to function properly, but the ship practically becomes invisible to any sensors or visual contact unless said ship trying to find the destroyer happens to be very very close for sensoral or visual interception to work.

Details of Ship: Forward Unto Sender has only recently been assigned to the Vanguard fleet under the pretense of experimental cloaking technology being tested out on it. The ship is otherwise a cut and dry destroyer that is designed to harass, seek and destroy bigger ships, fighters and dropships along with its sister ship Hyperion.

They are however, not built or armed for a fleet engagment so at the first sign of ship signatures that they pick up with their deep range systems, they make a run for it back to the mothership. Quick and efficent. It usually only takes them a week at most to clean an entire small fleet wreckage. Details of Ship: An unconventional battle cruiser in the sense instead of mounting railguns on it as ranged attack weapons, it is instead built much like a frigate but with the exception of its internal missile silo's. Its an older ship, originally housing the capability of performing long range nuclear strikes against enemies from a safe distance, but with Shiro's ascension to the position of Admiral, he has viewed these WMD's as a greater threat rather than a defensive weapon and has ordered that they be kept inside the Mothership for safe keeping and to be only used when absolutely necessary.

The ship is otherwise made with the idea that if they can disable fleeing ships, they should in order to reduce future conflict's.

Details of Ship: Relying on mothership exclusively for the Vanguard fleet to engage enemy's at its current speeds is completely unreliable due to its hulking size causing it to crawl slowly towards an enemy, thus Horizon is a carrier class ship that is capable of operating in the same capacity that mothership can, but alot faster than the titan itself.

Virtually, its outfitted with compartmentalized hangar bays and cryo-storage facility's to house a majority of its infantry personal but in the event that the Vanguard fleet must deploy a standing emergency force yet the mothership is too far away to deploy it's army safely, Horizon will rush to the scene, providing a small standing force and its own mobile suit division to take and holdout an objective or place till the Calvary arrives.

This blitzkrieg speed and purpose though comes at the cost of weapon systems, but it is largely considered a forward operating base away from the Mothership so most ships will protect it when it comes to a grueling fight and the mobile suits have load outs allowing it to go out on top of the hull with heavy weapons too engage fighters and frigates/destroyers at close range if they need too.

There is the main body of the fleet. Below is some additional intel on the ships that they commonly work with on most vessels and even the mobile suits as well as their gear!

The Serpent fighters though are still very nasty and effective in a fight and when they are swarming an enemy, their speed makes them tough to nail, even at a close range and in groups, they have a very solid defense.

Details of Ship: The iconic weapon of Uroboros troop's. If you see a dropship coming, it almost definitely means there is at least one or two mobile suits aboard at any given time.

Customized for extremely heavy warfare and the ability to engage enemies without having to hide behind cover, they are the pinnacle of engineering for heavy armor troop's by the Uroboros engineers.

The engineers also create specialized heavy weapons and different environmental loadouts and modifications for different situations making these suits highly versatile and modifiable to any situation at any time.

Mobile Suits are THE staple of Uroboros infantry and a group of Uroboros Volunteers is bound to have a pilot actively piloting the suit close by.

Uroboros uniforms are typically a black jumpsuit at any given time. Usually any other clothing almost always comes modified and approved by the engineering staff beforehand.

Uroboros soldiers have a heavy preference for energy based weapons and explosives, so likely nine times out of ten, Uroboros troops will always come armed with energy based weapons, usually highly modified, but sometimes they just come with the energy weapons they just salvaged and have not had a chance to modify yet.

Engineering also issues light, attachable plate armor that is worn like a combat vest over the uniform too troops. Highly experimental Alumicsteel platting, which holds up well enough against small arms fire and explosives, but usually are small and still leave open alot of gaps in the persons armor.

'With great power comes equally great responsibility' an admiral of Uroboros once said.

The Blackguards are a division of Uroboros which go back to its foundation. Born in the shadows during their uprising to power as a militia, the Blackguard was formed and led in secret by the admiral to police the public powers of Uroboros. If a captian and his crew were acting crooked and stealing from colonists, 'Pirates' would show up and completely destroy them.

Over time, while their core concept never changed, they evolved from a simple secret police into informants, infiltrators and assassins for Uroboros that they would deploy to remove political obstacles that threatened peace in the Outer colonys. Their current incarnation though recruits children who are parent-less from the slums and raise them from their young lives to become future blackguards.

Few know of the Blackguard in Uroboros and only a scant few outside of her slabbed hull know an inkling of what is the blackguard. They are potentially one of the most secretive organizations in space and rarely show themselves or wear the Uroboran uniform.

This means they can potentially be anyone, anywhere and everywhere if they chose to be and none would usually be the wiser unless the local populace happened to be one exclusive race.

Aye, though Primordus is making it clear that it would be for Concert use, a permanent staging ground in the space. He doesn't expect the Organic members of the conference to agree, but he's proposing it anyway - if you don't ask you don't receive. :)

EDIT: Also the occupants aren't butchered afterwards just in case the process was thought to be carried out in that way. The radiation from the beam simply turns their cells into pure carbon, along with the rest of life upon the planet - grass, trees, animals all become Carbon ready to be harvested and transformed. Hence the name 'reapplication' instead of 'extinction'. :D

Shiro would be extremely opposed to that. Enough so that he would turn on the Sentinax and declare them immediate threats. Mostly because the action in itself violates Uroboros ideals of protecting the innocent and civilians.

Of course he doesnt know what he meant by his phrasing, but Ironsides would no doubt process and voice his concern, which gives me an idea for another co-post. Will be throwing something at you soon Korzan.

Haha. I like the confrontation too. Its interesting to see how characters feel about each other and feel one another out to get an idea of where their allegiances and moral lines stand.

I feel that Shiro and Uroboros in general will like working with the Kel'cyre, given that Taionna just echo'd Shiro's exact opinions on the matter.

Background

Not really the Lyrans, but the colonists her weapons and technology have helped to save. Uroboros under the last admiral was less aggressive and more subversive, but also alot more destructive. I would imagine she did something that ended up killing alot of people to help Uroboros out, which is the idea behind her escape.

EDIT: While her background seems undeveloped, I always do that with most OC's I make at first. It leaves alot of room for growth and personal development, rather then how rigid and narrow a complex, pre-built history can be.

Yep, I thought it would be interesting, as someone who often plays in 40k RPs of various types, to have an Imperium esque bad guy, a 'humanity first' faction of out-and-out racists. Its kind of justifiable in the 41st millenium for mankinds survival (because most aliens are horrible slavering monsters bent on mankinds extermination or slavery) but in the galaxy of the Concert it gives the Lyrans a solid reason for their villainy.

So, one Kel-Cyre ship has been blown up (the Thekas and its noble sacrifice will not be soon forgotten) and now its down to the remaining Concert fleet to clear a path to the Collector ship and the Purity. I'll let people handle the fleet battle independently, but I absolutely want to see some explicit casualties from everyone except the Pirates fleet.

DoK, do you want to co-post the assault on the command centre?

Government: Monarchy. Hive-mind cultured males ruled by a dictorial group of princesses and queens.
Economy: Barter and Trade system.
Military: Extremely heavy usage of AI in automated defenses. Uses machine and droid armys in droves.
Racial Speciality: Genetic, technological and Environmental Adaption

Originally a fairly big player in the galactic community, the sentinax purging most of their people and all of their homeworlds in Sentinax space have now turned these beautiful insectoid people into reclusive and cowardly survivors.

They communicate through a series of clicks, chittering and in distress screams. This unique form of communication keeps them from communing with other races easily. In addition, their race was never a work or development capable group of people, instead the male drones did alot of gathering and scavenging while the females built mighty automated defenses and machines to produce other machines to help build their military infrastructure. They are especially know for reverse engineering alot of their technology from outsider races and adapt it for their own use.

The race is highly capable of adapting to any and all environments as well as any group of people based on their unique growth cycle for the females. Princesses devour choice prey and after building a cocoon and hibernating for anywhere between ten to thirty years, they emerge with their genetic perfectly molded of their choice prey. This means they gain their all their genetic immunities and look more akin to them as a result.

The men and women of this race are almost completely indistinguishable until the women form their cocoon and go into metamorphosis. Only the queens look different from how most of their race looks but that is largely due to appearance and genetic adaption.

Just posting real quick to share more WIP's of the Uroboran outfit design (Male design is on its way) and I have a couple more characters in developments I will be sharing soon. Character Appearance: A mixture of machinery and synthetically grown skin, this young Lyran colonist stands at about 4'7, weighing around 200 pounds with short raven black hair and lime green eyes. His body appears to be made up synthetic skin and highly flexible metal, servos and organs. All vat grown or forged and built on the Motherships development labs.

Skills: Advanced flight and pilot skills. Highly skilled in aviation based combat and tactics. Moderate level of training and skill with firearms. Generally prefers and is much more suited to being wings in the sky rather than boot's on the ground. Moderately knowledgeable mechanic when it comes to the Gen I and II serpent fighters and the HAD's. Great knowledge of farming and animal handling.

Background: A nearly fully synthetic human, a byproduct of decades of bio-engineering and research by Uroboran engineers, Hanz is a Lyran turned cyborg after a grievous injury that completely immolated and destroyed his old organic body.

Originally a volunteer that joined up after Uroboros made a recruitment run on Fasch when he was 17, he served as a mechanic and pilot for nearly a year until he got caught in a battle against an elite Squadron of Lyran fighters. They destroyed the squadron he was in and most of his body, but Uroboran medical staff received and brought him back from the dead in a new synthetic body. The only thing that is still human about him is his brain, which is inside his new body.

Years later and a number of highly successful airborn operations, he gradually rose up the ranks from Volunteer to Lieutenant and later Captain of his own Squadron on the Mothership. His service record would make many pilots think twice about facing him in a mock battle as he has faced and destroyed many enemy ships ranging between several hundred sentinax drones, Lyran, Terran, and Charabidian fighter vessels and a number of large vessel kills: Several destroyers and frigates and on one occasion a battleship.

His past life was largely unremarkable though. Most of his youth was spent as a farm hand. Son to a farming farmer and livestock handler on Fasch, his reasons for joining seemed to stem originally from a sense of boredom of farm life, but his reason for staying was the excitement that fighting brought him as well as the ability to travel and see many different worlds and people along the way.

He comes off as a rather rough speaking youth. Honest to a fault and very direct with his words, he has a rather fiery temper, but a skill in dog-fighting to match and back up his rather sharp words. He has a deep hatred for Sentinax and believes they are an abuse of technology that need to be scrapped and destroyed. Ironsides being the only exception (albeit he has a rather guarded and suspicious attitude towards him when they interact). He believes with every fiber of his being that war with the sentinax will be unavoidable, but Shiro rears back his viscous nature towards them and keeps him on a short leash when around them.

Two more characters beyond this one are on their way as well. A dormant Viridis Queen and Infiltrator cloaked in shadow, though their designs are not finalized as of yet.

Background: She was initially created on Ast Nok before the Sentinax drove their people out of their own homeworlds. The ship she escaped on however was badly damaged and she eventually drifted for half a century in deep space on ice until a Kel'Cyre Bio-scientist found the ship and the egg on accident.

After she was unthawed and hatched, the mad scientist ran many highly illegal experiments on her as well as force feeding her Terran and Lyran remains from his many victims that he experimented, dissected and studied.

This force feeding was designed to turn her into a Bio-weapon he could use to control a horde of Viridis when she would eventually metamorphosis into a Humanoid/Viridis hybrid and she eventually formed her cocoon and began the long growth cycle.

Before she could hatch however, Shiro and a number of volunteers before he became admiral found this weapon lab based on a rumor and killed the scientist and everyone within except for the cocoon. When they realized what it was, they took the cocoon back to the Mothership and put this Queen on ice before she could hatch and she still remains in the Supermax security wing of the Mothership, on Ice with her cocoon very close to hatching should she unthaw somehow.

Shes designed to be very much a blank slate character that will adapt and learn new skills as she grows.

'Swarm' is the codename given to her nano-machine type but on the defensive she can use them to create a small defensive barrier against weak explosives, energy and projectile weapons while offensively they can become a weapon and rend the flesh of anyone unlucky enough to get within cleave radius of the swarm bots.

Her Swarm bots are taxing to her fatigue though. She becomes incredibly tired after prolonged use but in short attack and defensive bursts or very short terms uses, she can use them without tiring herself.

Background: (Public) Originally a notorious mercenary from the Dragonoid worlds, she was known for not only assassinating high profile political targets but also pillaging heavily guarded and high reward trade vessels becoming wanted for the murder of dozens of core world delegates and pillaging approximately several hundred trillion credits worth of trade goods and shooting anyone that got in her way.

After she became an older, more mature woman in years, she retired from her life of heavy crime after creating and establishing a vast black-market network around the galaxy, running many smaller gangs and controlling the flow of credits and distribution of illegal weapons, goods and highly classified information in outlaw space.

The last Uroboran admiral however approached her with an express desire to integrate her into Uroboros ranks, giving them control over a huge trade network and access to an information network in exchange for complete and total absolvment of criminal charges of terrorist acts against the peoples court and the outer colonys and she agreed.

She now serves on Uroboros as a public relations representative and trade expert. Many unbeknownst of her actual past or the actual value she represents to the Uroboros as a whole.

(Secret) Born and raised on the homeworld Ru-Krux, she was adopted, trained and raised by the shadowy and secret division of Uroboros, the Blackguard.

Much of her training was that of an infiltrator, assassin and a woman who could easily blend into any social field she wished too.

When she was 16 and she finished most of her training, they placed her amoung a band of mercenaries who were all members of the blackguard, operating under the guise of a mercenary crew that took any job, no matter how dangerous or dirty.

While serving as a mercenary, she was tasked with the assassination of over a dozen core world representatives who threatened no only the Uroboran agenda, but also threatened to destabilize peace and freedom for the Outer colonys under Uroboros protection.

Serving as an informant for the admiral and over a very long term process, she ascended the ranks of the mercenary crew and at the previous admirals orders, requested she build an intergalactic trade market and information network. In doing so, she helped form the backbone of much of Uroboros current knowledge of intergalactic polotics as well as fleet deployments and major defensive installations.

her position here has helped the Uroboros flagship remain in hiding up until now as well as most of their smaller fleets and defensive installations, feeding valuable intelligence to the Admiralty which in turn, can order fleets into different places to remain undetected by those who would seek out and destroy the militia.

Currently nobody save for the admiralty and other intelligence expert know who she really is. Even the current admiral does not have full access to her current files, meaning everything about her is largely a mystery to shiro, save for the fact he knows shes part of the Blackguard and very valuable to the Uroborans.

'With great power comes equally great responsibility' an admiral of Uroboros once said.

The Blackguards are a division of Uroboros which go back to its foundation. Born in the shadows during their uprising to power as a militia, the Blackguard was formed and led in secret by the admiral to police the public powers of Uroboros. If a captian and his crew were acting crooked and stealing from colonists, 'Pirates' would show up and completely destroy them.

Over time, while their core concept never changed, they evolved from a simple secret police into informants, infiltrators and assassins for Uroboros that they would deploy to remove political obstacles that threatened peace in the Outer colonys. Their current incarnation though recruits children who are parent-less from the slums and raise them from their young lives to become future blackguards.

Few know of the Blackguard in Uroboros and only a scant few outside of her slabbed hull know an inkling of what is the blackguard. They are potentially one of the most secretive organizations in space and rarely show themselves or wear the Uroboran uniform.

This means they can potentially be anyone, anywhere and everywhere if they chose to be and none would usually be the wiser unless the local populace happened to be one exclusive race.

Since mothership is going to be talk of the metaphorical town for a couple of posts I imagine, I thought I would just post a little something something about the ship as a whole and their engineering department. I guess people who have a relatively good connection IC to information circles will know of this, so use this info as you please.

Mothership is basically a Gargantuan class ship, massive beyond belief but also slow and houses thirty thousand plus troops. Its big enough to be considered a colony all on its own and it is self-sustaining to an extent, featuring small Hydroponic Farms, Medical Centers, Foundry's and weapon labs. There is even a central entertainment center, with the biggest attraction being a combat arena and a sport that gives volunteers non-lethal weapons and pits them against each other with their own ranking system.

Research and Development (AKA: Engineering) division of Uroboros numbers in the thousands for personal. Split up across various division heads with specific charges when it comes to the many things engineering must see too as a whole. Hana Gurang is the Master Engineer and chief architect of the Mothership and oversees development on the main stay projects authorized by the admiralty and the board of captains as well as overseeing the workloads and making sure the division heads are doing their jobs right.

Engineering is split up across five different groups: Weapons and Defense Development, Agriculture and Housing, Shipwrights, Power Engineers and Manufacturers.

Manufacturers are the foundry overseers. When RnD puts out a new weapon approved for field use or authorize the manufacture of anything such as ammunition, ships, mobile suits and even small alumicsteel hulling, they are responsible for the smooth operation of the factory's, the creation of these items and the shipping of said items to the armorys that require them.

They are also responsible for the recycling and re-purposing of materials recovered from battles.

Power Engineers are mostly electricians, computer technology specialists and anti-matter specialists and reactor workers and are responsible for making sure that power is not an issue and that the ship is wired properly. They are also responsible for the maintenance and smooth operation of the REBOOT program used on the Mothership.

Shipwrights are responsible for the maintenance of the Serpent Class Starfighters Uroboran pilots use, the HAD's they use to deploy ground troops and the repair of the Vanguard fleet and the Motherships external hull, weapons subsystems and various other external items like the rotating engine and the central sub-space relay for long distance communications.

Agriculture and Housing oversees that crews, familys, VIP's and Guests are all properly housed and food is widely available for everyone, attempting to cater to just about any races palette. They ensure that overpopulation is not an issue and that the Hydroponic farms run smoothly.

Agriculture is responsible for their bio-research involved with RnD and they also handle the scant few cloning facilities and medical centers all across the ship.

Cloning occurs on a small scale however and is intended to grow and regenerate organs vital to the function of any Volunteer regardless of rank but many volunteers that come back injured are often missing limbs or have lost the function of their body in some way, so instead they run several factory's cooperatively with the Manufacturers division. These factories create prosthetic limbs and even have vats to construct entirely new bodies for Uroboran personal made up of synthetically grown skin and greased Plasmatic Blood produced and developed by Housing and Agriculture while Manufacturers design and assemble the skeleton and handle its assembly.

Though these Hybrid organic/synthetic volunteers are rare, there are several here and there, the notable human/synthetic hybrids being the Master Engineer herself and a Serpent Squadron captain by the name of Hanz Notra.

Weapons and Defense Development oversees the overall defenses and conventional weapons of Uroboros, constantly working to develop weapons for use in future conflicts. Though most weapons that are developed do not see the light of day due to either resource constraints or being unfeasible for use on the field, the few weapons that do make it past the conceptual and development stage are then modified by said engineers to suit the needs of the people using the weapons.

They are also responsible for the Aegis Shielding program which up till now was not known of widely, even inside the Engineering divisions.

The Aegis shield system in itself is like the Lyrans beam cannon they just tried to use on it, but conceptually different. Instead of harnessing energy to attack, it takes all the energy from its anti-matter reactor and funnels it into central power deposits located all across the ship which then funnels the energy into the high output shield panels that extend and deploy when in use scattered about the hull of the Mothership. Though it generates a huge amount of heat depending on the intensity of the shield being deployed, they have solved the problem for the time being with high amounts of military grade thermal paste, large heat sinks and radiators.

The only issue I can find with it is the statement of Sentinax living within Ouroborus space. Ironsides is considered a HUGE rarity within the Sentinax, as its incredibly rare that they would leave the Server worlds (which contains their 'God' figure in the form of Birth and the remaining Alpha-Units) and the Sentinax don't really leave worlds behind much like the other concert fleets might, seeing as they are more based off of a extra-terrestrial server link between worlds if you will.

Whilst there might be a handful, I wouldn't say enough for them to warrant a real appearance within the 'state', else Primordus wouldn't have reacted so disgusted with Ironsides and his integration as an 'Organic pet' as he described him.

But yeah other than that it's awesome that you keep giving us more stuff IMO :)

Ah. The thought is that since they are so rare, there really isnt much of a colony. More like a huge factory that produces Alumicsteel and droid's and is ran by less than a few dozen sentinax. Ill emphasize on that later. Have been meaning to define Colony worlds for a while but the idea ive built so far was "World thats mostly dry airy platues and canyons but mineral rich. Many factorys, few organic colonys and the few Sentinax there are reclusive. Sort of like monks. Very remote within colony space to a degree that its both a good staging area for a campaign and a reliable fortress world.

That's fine, I just wanted to emphasise that there would probably be like less than 60 within Ouroborus space. They revere Birth for giving them life and purpose, those that leave are considered traitors and cut off, and not many leave, otherwise the Sentinax wouldn't be regarded as an insular species :)
