Rikard

Rikard sat uncomfortable in the driver’s seat of the car, his mind kept getting sidetracked by Project Zero and what they had done to him in confinement they did everything imaginable to break his spirit. But it had left him calmer, distant, and secluded than before. He rarely uttered a word but even he had tolerances and right now he was getting distracted by Hacker sitting next to him.

Type. Type. Type. Type. Type. Type.

Rikard concentrated on the road ahead; he heard something overhead, a plane. Did planes really fly that low? He thought about it for a second then concentrated on the road. The Gifted Alliance house shared. He hated the idea of it. It was Hacker's idea. Rikard hated Hacker, maybe it was during the liberation of the other projects. The man seemed completely distant from them. Maybe it was because he was a telepath, Hacker saw himself as the outcast. Warren leant forward at that point, "Nearly there yet?"
Rikard sighed, "No.... now shut up!"
Hacker was still glued to his computer. Rikard briefly looked over, and saw the words 'confidential' and then thought 'he is damn good’ he turned left and as he drove down the street he noticed smoke curling up from the Vale Corporation sky scraper. Rikard hit the brakes. Hacker jolted a bit and looked at Rikard. Rikard simply pointed to the enormous building which towered over the city. He climbed out of the car and took a few steps forward. He saw a black object fly towards the building, and small light source powered into the skyscrapers side followed by a large explosion. It had been a missile. Hacker had appeared at Rikard’s side and folded his arms whilst saying, “And – here – we – Go!”
Rikard rolled his eyes and watched as plane flew in again. This time it just disappeared.

Doctor Danielle Yale and Adam Bayle

“I’m sorry for what we did to you Adam. Project Zero is something I regret. Now looked at the world,” said Yale. She looked at Adam, he had kindly offered dinner. She had no reason to decline plus it was strictly business nothing more.
“Apology noted Doctor. But I remember the looks you gave to the Gifted. You enjoyed it,” answered Adam.
Yale swallowed and said, “I was discovering new possibilities. I’m a scientist.”
“Was a scientist, you’re own people locked you away!” he said.
“But then you freed me.”
Adam looked out of the window, a fire engine whizzed past, he said softly “Wonder what the problem is?”
“Probably a cat stuck up a tree,” said Yale swiftly.
Then the glass shattered, causing both dive to the floor. Adam looked up only briefly to see an overturned police car come to rest, its body smoked and burned away. Gunfire ripped through air followed shortly by the screams of passersby. The Shifter’s had commenced their attack. Adam grabbed Yale by her arm and dragged towards the kitchen whilst saying hastily, “Let’s take the back way out.”
Adam ran past a knife rack, and pulled one out and before the chef could do anything, he and Yale had left. Standing the back alley Yale looked at him surprised and said, “You can become a snake. Why’d you need a knife?”
“It’s for you,” he forced the hilt into her hand.
Yale touched the blade’s edge and said, “Sharp....”
Adam looked at her and then made his way towards the street. Yale not far behind. When he reached the street he was greeted by smouldering metal.

Vale City Military Base, Outskirts of Vale City-

General Michael Simpson stepped into the operations room at the Vale City Military Base, an Army/Air Force joint base. From here the cities defenses were controlled, at any given time fighters could be scrambled, helicopters could be deployed, and the 2,500 resident soldiers and pilots were on standby at all times. " I want a SITREP people!" The moment the General stepped into the room he took command as was the norm. The soldier manning one of the many computers turned around on his swivel chair, " Sir, we have a unidentified object that just collided with the Vale Corporation Tower- "

Michael raised an eyebrow " Damage?"

" Yessir, fire crews have been deployed, police are an their way and we have a Natural Disaster Team on the way, however none are armed for a serious defense."

" Why would that be needed? What was the object?"

" Unknown, sir, however we have reports of a large black mass, like a missile. Possibly long range."

"Fuck... I want 3rd platoon in a heli, deploy 1st and 7th in Humvees. I want us there yesterday! Move it people we might have a major attack on our hands!"

"Yessir!" came the reply from everyone in the room, all of them went to work immediately.

Michael walked around to a few of the screens around the room assessing the situation, as far as he could tell there was a big chunk of the Tower taken out and there was some panic in the streets. Nothing major, right? Then his radio crackled to life, the Natural Disaster Team was radioing in," This is Mother One to OPS."

"Ops here, what is it Mother? "

" Were being pinned down by heavy gunfire, all we have are our pistols and they are running out of ammo fast. I repeat we are pinned down by heavy gunfire, limited ammo left."

" Roger that Mother one, helos on the way to support. ETA 6 mikes."

" Roger that, we should be able to hang on until then. Mother one over and out."

Michael sat down on a open swivle chair in the middle of the room and thought of his options. " Where are the Platoons?"

" 1st has been deployed sir, 7th is still mounting up. ETA 2 mikes."

" Tell them to wait for me, im going in to asses the situation myself. Colonel, you have control." One of the officers that had been doing his rounds around the room assesing the situation stood up and saluted. Michael ran out of the room towards the lot where 7th platoon was mounting up.

Jason Greene-

Jason flew over the city, something he did often now. His powers had evolved, simply hovering wasn't all he could do now,now he could fly. Spotting the car he was searching for Jason swooped down, almost hitting a missle as it streaked by. Landing heavily on the roof Jason jumped onto the hood of the car, making sure not to block Rikards view too much. His electricity sending sparks along the body of the car. Jason them made a motion to open one of the windows, he wanted to get in.

The Shifters and Raphael

Vale Corporation, 15th floor 9.10pm

The Shifter held the office worker tightly by the shoulder. He gave a twisted smile, and for a second made the man he held peer over the edge. The window itself had been blown apart, glass lay shattered on the floor, and pieces papers were being blowing about. A nervous sweat trickled down the office workers cheek. "It's a long way down," said the Shifter confidently.
The office worker nodded quickly. "You're fired!" shouted the Shifter as he through the man off the edge.
The Shifter Mcneil sighed and said,"Bring me another. One of them must know about the Catalyst."
The other Shifter began to drag another man towards to Mcneil, he then froze. "Sir...." he stuttered.
"What! is it man," boomed Mcneil as he turned around. It was the office worker he had chucked out of the window. "Just die please. Do i have too..." his voice seemed to squeak. He looked down the fist of office worker was now placed inside his stomach with the arm stretching out. Dark mist was curling and dancing around the arm. Mcneil's eyes turned black, and black blood began to trickle out. The office worker withdrew his hand and Mcneil collapsed like a sack of potatoes. The office worker then collapsed himself, as man stepped out of his body, and then metamorphed into Mcneil. The other Shifter looked shocked, afraid, and surprised. He transformed his left arm into a AK-47 and opened fire. The impersonator's body became mist as each bullet hit its spot. The impersonator tilted his head and then stepped forward placing his hand on the Shifter. The process repeated itself. The process of the draining the life force of another human being. But this time there was a scream followed by the dull sound of body hitting glass. The office worker stood paralysed. Then the impersonator became his true form. A small bald head man with wrinkly skin, withered hands, and eyes as dark as the night itself. He wore a black monks robe and no shoes. His feet began to bleed as stood on the glass shards. He took of the radio which was attached to the top of his black monk robe.
"The traitors are dead," he said blankly. He then looked out of the hole which had be carved only minutes ago by the initial attack and said, "It is indeed a very long way down." He then transformed back into Mcneil. The office worker stood bemused.

Rikard, Hacker, and Warren

'Chaos is not planned. Only achieved'- Hacker

Hacker took a few slow steps forward all the while drawing a small pistol out of his pocket, "Chaos is not planned. Only achieved."

Rikard spun around as he heard Jason Greene land on the car behind him and said whilst attempting a smile, "Jason Greene. It's been a long time,"
Hacker ignored Greene's arrival. "I'm not a man with a plan. I improvise," said Hacker slowly, he raised the gun and clicked the safety off and aimed it at Rikard.

Warren Young the former assassin for the Company, was still sat in the back seat, looking out the front window screen. Hacker's gun sent alarm bells ringing in his mind.

Rikard turned back to Hacker and said coldly, "Hacker."
Hacker smiled, "Shifters!" he yelled. "They bend their bodies around a mind. Me," he sighed. "I invade and control the mind much more fun. I can plant a seed, i can make it grow into insanity, fear, and confusion. In there darkest forms. I hope your following this Rikard."

Rikard stood emotionless although he had his arms folded.

"Good. Strong and silent type. I like that," continued Hacker. "But what happens when fear turns on you!" he yelled again then lowered the gun. He ran off into the night. For a small, plump man he was quite fast, and the lights the street lamps, building lights, as he ran past, they went off. "Timing," muttered Hacker as he left them.

Rikard looked around him, "Project Zero. All over again."

Standing tall, facing a group of geared-up soldiers, Sergent Joseph Carmine was striking. His black carapace armor stuck out against the standard issue urban camo the others were adorned in. Joseph ran his eyes along his squad, making sure everyone was in order. He had very little information on what was happening, so they needed to be prepared for the worst. Carmine hated being unprepared, but that wasn't about to stop him.

"Alright men, let's load up."

Sergent Carmine said as he settled his rifle strap on his shoulder, walking towards an idling hummer. His squad, grabbing some remaining gear, began loading into the back of the vehicles. Carmine climbed into the passenger seat, slamming the door behind him.

"What the hell are we waiting on, Homens?" Joseph spat at the driver.

"Sorry sir, I just got a call to hold for some full bird." The young man replied.

"Damnit. Just what I need, some brass encroaching on my orders..."

Sprinting out of the locker room, the General tightened the last straps on his MOLLE plate carrier. Michael was completely ignoring some of his own regulations and was deploying himself, one of the top ranking Generals, into a potential war zone. * Completely worth the risk....* he thought to himself and smiled as he reached the adrenaline fueled soldiers who were anxiously waiting to depart.

"Damnit. Just what I need, some brass encroaching on my orders..."

Michael laughed, he remembered saying the same thing at least a dozen times when he was a Lieutenant. " Careful what you say hotshot, look who your talkin to. " Michael then noticed the Sergeant was in the platoon leader's seat, checking the electronic roster, a newly installed component, Michael scrolled down to 2nd Lieutenant Patterson and read '1800 hours: Checked into infirmary- 1830 Infirmary report: Sick, unfit for duty.' then a flashing red line pointing to his second in command, Sergeant Carmine. Switching to his mic Michael started speaking, " Ok people, I've wasted enough of our little time already. Short and simple; Patterson is sick, I'm taking over. I want us at the site ASAP or this platoon's got kitchen duty, Hooah?" A swift and enthusiastic "Hooah!" came from the crowd of soldiers as Michael stepped into the passenger seat of the second car, as soon as he was in the sounds of 12 hummers roared to life and they set off.
-------------
Jason Greene-

" Who the fuck was that guy?" Jason landed on the roof of the car and sat down, " And more importantly what the fuck is goin on? I take a frickin vacation and I come back to this mess? Damn...." Jason then sat quietly, the mention of Project Zero brought back bad memories.

"Careful what you say hotshot, look who your talkin' to."

Joseph's stomach lurched as he heard the line. Not only was he stuck with desk jockey, it wasn't just a full bird, but a damned General. To put icing on the top, he was a comedian. Joseph threw a scowl over to Specialist Homens in the driver seat.

"Thought you said this guy was a Colonel?"

Homens shrugged and gave a grin. "My bad."

" Ok people, I've wasted enough of our little time already. Short and simple; Patterson is sick, I'm taking over. I want us at the site ASAP or this platoon's got kitchen duty, Hooah?"

With a grind of gears, Homens cranked the beast into drive and rolled out as the lead in the convoy. Joseph looked down at his helmet sitting in his lap. The full-faced mask stared at him blankly. The cold visor staring through him. Joseph wondered how it felt to have these dead, black orbs the last thing you see before you die. He might have to ask the next rebel bastard that very question. He bowed his head forward off the seat and slipped his helmet on. The automated systems creating a seal with his neck plate. From blackness, the inside of the vehicle came into sight again, but this time with information tags floating around his heads up display. He looked out to see the city lights beckoning him once again.

Ryn’s body felt tense, as she sat in the passenger seat of the vehicle. She always felt nervous before going on a mission. She knew that she could die at any time, and that was a scary thought. She fingered her sniper rifle, and her heart started to beat faster. It was even worse that Sergeant Carmine had called them all men, because there were also females on the team. She now felt angry and nervous. Great.

Ryn remembered when she had first joined the military, everyone she knew was against it. It wasn’t like she had a family to disappoint, but her friends were upset. They had cried to her about them not wanting her to die, as Ryn had tried to leave the house. She knew that she would do much more good in the military, then back at home.

In the months training in the military, they were one of the hardest she had experienced. She had been good at Phys Ed at school, but everything was different when she had come to the military. The sweat and muscle aches had all paid off in the end. Ryn was now extremely physically fit, and she could shoot pretty much anything. That was why she was in the position as sniper.

(here goes a yhopefull smooth late entryintot eh RP)
Bob
SomehowBob had been trying to get some sleep, but that all went to hell when he heard the explosions, shouts and screams.
"christ," he muttered. "are the blasted shifters back again for another attack! Christ!"

Bob snuck out of the Subway hoping he wouldn't be found by Hacker. While he liked Ricard, Hacker drove him nuts! Glancing around Bob saw that the Vail corporation headquarters had been seriously breached, and a mass of confusion as people ran hither and thither; Shielding his eyes to focus, Bob saw Ricard and slid up behind him.
"Project 0 all over again."

"how true, how true old pal except I was Project 7. How did we meet again?"
Bob knew he probably was catching Ricard offguard, but he was soo pumped to see him.

"Red hot"
Chucky glanced around when the chaos began. Oh how he loved chaos especially if Hacker was behind it. Glancing around he saw that the Vail Corporation was seriously damaged after what looked like a missile atack.
Great he thought. Those government snobs need to be taught a lesson anyway.
Chucky loved the fact that Vail was under attack again because it meant that perhaps he could finally escape this wretched city. Getting more and more thrilled at the prospect of facing governmental snobs, Chucky headed to survey the damage and grinned. There were people trying to escape
"awww, sorry to ruin your lifetoday." he muttered under his breath as he stepped arround the corner to shift into his female form. He loved shifting into this form because she was so easy during chaos. Play the sympathetic woman, get them hhelp, and kill them. Of course they never made it to their destination. The other option was the lost distraught girl who needed some help; Cry and beg for help, get it and head somewhere; then killing spree. Ohhhhhh baby the thought.

Finally, Chucky was ready to begin his killing spree. He met the humans trying to escape. She ran up to the crowd; Her hair was a mess, mascara runny as if she had been crying, and her clothes looked as if they had been burned.
"Oh can someone pleeeeeeeeze help me." She wailed in a high-pitched squeaky voice.

Rikard and Warren
Rikard sighed, "You remember Hacker Greene. He was the one who cause the power cut in Project Zero. And he's done it again only on... slightly larger scale."
Warren Young, got out of the car, and noticed Bob's approach, "Project Seven you say, I thought they were all killed Hayburn's destruction."
Rikard remained emotionless, "Bob," he muttered quietly to himself. "We met... well you tell me."
Warren looked shrunk back a little, and said, "We can either stand he idly or we can fight the military... and the Shifter." he spat the word Shifters. In Project Zero one had attempted to kill him by taking on his form. In the end the real Warren won.

Hacker
Hacker shot discreetly a few civilians. "Fun," he whispered. "Now to break free the Catalyst," he said once again. 'He was supposed to be meeting a Shifter, where is he.... or she?'

Raphael
Raphael looked at the office worker. Then down below. He became mist and began a rabid descent to the ground. As he landed he choked, a few civillians before reforming. They fell to the ground squirming. He slowly walked forward, being dressed like a monk, he somewhat stood out. The night had only the just begun. When the light began to rise, the whole of Vale will never be the same. Two great cities falling in just over a few years of eachother. Scary. But even if the Shifters successfully held Vale. Terra was ruling government of the country and no doubt were preparing to defend to the death. Vale and Hayburn. Were just pawns. Terra and the city of Sera was the king in this game.

It surprised Raphael that it was the Vale military that were fighting and that the Terra government were not willing to provide support. By now though Sera would be heavily fortified. Hence why the strike of Vale was so affective and easy. The Terra government were protected by Sera's own defences. In this case they only cared for themselves

(The country Terra, and the city of Sera were names i just dreamt up now.)

Joseph looked up to see the Vail Corporate offices blackened with the flash of muzzles throughout the building. Police and Fire Fighters were gathered around the base of the building, attempting to keep people back from falling debris. The convoy rolled up and came to a stop, the squad pouring out of the vehicles, immediately moving into formation, taking cover behind the convoy line. Joseph carried his rifle in both hands and walked over to stand before his squad.

"Alright, there's reports that this terrorist attack is being lead by a group of psykers. You all know the drill; make sure those lab junkies are down. Don't take any chances. Crow, Homens, you're on me."

Specialist Homens stepped forward, carrying a rifle over his shoulder and a large machine on his back. Each squad was given a member with a Dampener. Rightly called, "Techs" these soldiers are normally adept in most things electronic, allowing them to use and repair the Dampener even under the stress of battle. The Dampener has little for offensive capability, however it creates an invisible field that significantly reduces the effectiveness of molecular modification or transmutation. This in turn forces increased stress on a psyker within the Dampener's short range whenever using their abilities. Within a few feet of the machine, the psyker is bombarded by a sort of psychic white-noise that can be extremely disorienting and even painful for the victim. Though this machine cannot subdue or even stop the enemy, it does give humans an extra edge.

"Alright, split into your fire teams and move. I need Team Bravo, Charlie and Delta to begin their climb through the front door. Team Echo, take the under-slung claw-launchers and ascend the building from a... relatively cold side."

Joseph looks to Homens and Crow through his helmet. Though she was knew to 7th platoon, he'd read her files. She proved herself in the academy with high marks and a level head under pressure. Her skill in multiple weapon types was a rarity and for her age, astonishing. Her success in minor missions was to be expected, but Joseph was ready to see how she'd do against full blown rebel psykers.

"Alright Crow, I'll need you to take point with the love-pump and Homens will pull up the rear. Watch our six, and let me know if anything pops on the Tech feed. You two ready?"

(as a heads-up, this will be my last post until I get back ... tonight at the latest.)

Chucky
People were immediately drawn to Tanya's distraction. She looked bad so was easy to help. As the people drew nearer, Tanya began to run. She had the feeling that reinforcement would arrive soon, so she wanted to get out of midtown. Finally after running for a couple of miles and approaching the subdivisions, Tanya collapsed and pretended to be winded. In actuality, she was waiting for the right moment to atack.
Closer and closer the people came. Finally they were close enough.Soon Tanya's right-and was turned into a RPG which she covered with her body. She had long since become practiced in attacking in different positions.
One , two three grenades went off as she launched them and then ran; this time aiming to meet Hacker. Tanya did not have time to enjoy the panic she had inspired. As he ran, she transformed her hand back to normal which was lucky as the military pulled up to the headquarters at that moment.

Swiftly she passed the convoy so they seemed to be a blur; a figment of a person's imagination which they never believed in. Then it was of to find hacker in earnest.

Bob
"why that's easy." Bob said. "We met right after Haborne was destroyed was destroyed. I was on my own, having been one of the few escapees, and I came across you when I noticed your ice trick. Then I melted the ice and we got in a friendly duel. Of course I won the duel.
Thsi brought a grin to his face with his teasing.
Then some other guy came up and questioned his pure existance.
"Well, I was one of the lucky ones to survive,"Bob replied"I got out when I could."
At the guy's suggestion to move, Bob smiled.
"probably a good idea," he said grimly. "and it looks like we have our targets approaching. What say you that we take out those punks for starters."
Bob was pointing at the convoy approaching the buildings.

Jason Greene

"Nice to meet you. Now shut the fuck up you're voice is starting to annoy me Bob..." Jason's body erupted in electricity as he became more annoyed. " Rikard, yea i remember that sonofabitch now..... his damn mind shit gave me headaches.... At least he helped us get out of that god forsaken place. Anyways what the fuck is goin on, anyone bother to tell me?" Jason looked around waiting for an answer.
------------

General Michael Simpson

" Carmine, I'm taking Alpha to secure the perimeter and establish a mobile command center. I don't want any civilian casualties from any of the men, make sure it doesn't happen." The General unstrapped his rifle from his back, although he doubted he would need it experience in the field many years ago told him otherwise. Slapping the side of his M16 he listened to the bolt slam home with a click-clack, it was a comforting sound to him and also one of great power that he didn't get to hear much anymore. Turning around to the fireteam he commandeered Michael looked in to each one's faces getting a feel of their personality, their strengths and weaknesses. A persons expression under stress can tell alot about them, a persons reaction can you tell even more but that wasn't what Michael could see right now. Looking into all of them he could see that they weren't experienced. Probably part of some reserve unit that had been cross leveled at the last second into 7th platoon. " Ok people, Sergeant Carmine will get the combat situation under control in the tower. As you heard reports are in that these are no normal terrorists, so were gonna move fast to get the situation under control. Jacobs and Wang take the crates out of the humvees. Tech, whose the tech, get on setting them up, skip the virus scan they were PMCSed before we deployed. And Jacobs i want you on the mounted M60. Hooah?" Michael looked around at the uncertain soldiers in front of him, all of them yelling "Hooah!" in unison. The soldiers were efficient and in a few minuets the crates were unloaded and the tech had set them up. The crates were each 4 feet long by 2 feet wide and the standard OD green. When opened and connected by a jumble of wires, as they were now, the formed a mobile command center, one of them even had a fold out swivel chair attached to it. Putting on the radio headset Michael sat down on the swivle chair and tuned into the HQ's frequency, " Simpson to HQ, where are the other platoons, I can't help but notice that they aren't around here. Over."

" Sir, the last report had it that they were pinned down about 4 blocks away from you, something about a local gang or a falling object. We've lost radio contact but we have their strobe on satellite. All of them are accounted for and no casualties. The team that was sent on heli's is back at base, they extracted Mother and returned to base. Over."

" Roger that, I need them redeployed. The situation here is serious, we have fires and mass chaos, not under control, i repeat situation is not under control. I want fighters scrambled also, wide patrol. We may have airborne terrorists. Over."

"Affirmative, pilots are deploying now, we have a new platoon coming in on the heli's. Both are estimated to leave in 7 mikes. Over."

" Roger that. I'm also requesting a satellite scan on the tower, I want to know what were up against. Relay all information directly into the HUD of the soldiers in the field. Over. "

" Roger that satellite scan coming in."

Michael cupped the microphone in his hands pushing it off to one side, and turned around to the idleing fireteam, " Tech - Jones, bring up Carmine's helmet cam on screen 2. Bring up the scan on screen 1. Rest of you secure the perimeter, 25 yards. Keep an eye out for the civilians, help anyone you can. "

( OOC : Magnan, can you please reply with information on the 'scan' of Vale Tower? And Unsated or magnan could you reply with info on Carmine's helmet cam, ( i assume he would be at least at the base of the tower by now. It should be about 10 minuets after Carmine leaves with the other fireteams. )

Joseph cringed inside his armor at the sound of the General barking orders on HIS men. He figured it'd be best to just stuff it down and move on with the mission.

"Foxtrot moving, sir." spat Joseph through the voice emitter.

Joseph pulled his rifle up to his shoulder and crouched down to move quickly through the open street. His rifle paced back and forth in front of him, ready to let out it's powerful roar to anyone who dared cross his path.

Ryn prowled the area. She felt uneasy, and her heart was jumping in her chest. As she looked at her surroundings she saw buildings on fire, and innocent people lying dead in the street. She felt the weight of responsibility fall harder on her shoulders, and for a few seconds she couldn’t breathe. Terror seized her, and she suddenly felt like running. Despite all her training, she didn’t know if she could kill, or save anyone’s life. She felt incredibly helpless, and wanted to push all her responsibility onto someone else, someone who could handle the pressure. But as she watched the fire spread, and heard the cries of the injured, she knew she couldn’t leave. Courage pulsed through her body as she remembered her dead family, and how she couldn’t save them. She now wished she could save every other person from the fate of losing someone important. She needed to kill the terrorists.

Ryn knew she would die soon anyway. Why not fight until the end? She kept walking, pushing herself forward with determination. She was ready to kill, or be killed.

Joseph and his squad burst into the building with deadly strength and precision. The lights in the main entry hall were out, leave the strobe of the emergency light. It's red glow left an eerie feel along the walls and a sense of dread within Joseph. As the squad moved down the hall, muffled screams and gunshots could be heard all around past the screech of the alarms.

Through his helmet mounted voice system, he sent a message directly to his squad's headsets and to the comm station outside.

"Defensive positions."

Joseph dropped to a knee behind a corner, keeping his eyes trained down the poorly lit hall. He activated his optic sensors to increase light in take and filter out the excess red.

"Hold position. I'm running a diagnostic and uploading visual to comm."

Numbers ran along his HUD, while a three dimensional imaging of the building they were in slowly began to construct itself, along with movement readings.

The scan of Vale Tower

The Vale Corporation is a twenty story skyscraper. Mainly an office building, it has other purposes. One being the protection of a top secret government project Catalyst. Hence the initial attack. Like many buildings, the ground floor is a reception area, and the other floors are either offices or conference rooms. The scans show occupation of the roof, and nearly every floor. The Shifters are searching for an entrance.....

(I hope thats ok.)

Rikard, and Warren
"I - let him win."
Warren shrugged his shoulders, and got back into Rikard's car.
Rikard looked up again, more planes, and helicopters. They were Shifters while it seemed it was invasion force, it looked like they were running to regroup. Something else was on its way. "Bob..... you know what destroyed Hayburn, well its coming here," said Rikard with a sigh. As Riklard went to get into a driver seat, he heard gun shots behind him. Soldiers and Shifters engaged in combat. He smiled darkly. The ice spread like it had done in Project Zero. Unrelenting. The soldier was oblivious until the moment he was stuck. Living Ice. The Shifter was next. He seized the chance to impale the soldiers with a barrage of bullets. Before the ice reached him, he became a fighter jet and flew off towards the media center.

The Shifters
They held all the cards. They had a signifant advantage. But the tables are turning, new threat is arising. They had be quick in awakening the Catalyst. Or Ghost and Clone Army would lay waste to all of them.

Bob
"I see!" he growled . "then I ws wrongs there not punks, they're bastards."
Then he slid in to the passenger seat nad rolled down the window.. Noticing that the soldiers were slower, Bob decided that he would go after the shifters with his hot blasts. You can escape ice, but its harder to escape water. This was Bob's thinking. Bob explained the strategy to Ric and hoped he would agree.
Then glancing around he saw two or three shifters battling some soldiers and fired a jet of hot water. Two were able to escape, but hthe third one couldn't. That shifter was soon writhing in agony from being hit.
"see what I mean?" Bob said with a smile.

Tanya could hear the sounds of anarchy reigning. Shots, screams and helipads. She hoped that her companions could find a way into the Vale soon, so they could take over the city, country and world. Still she searched for Hacker.
Finally she came to a restaurant whereHe was waiting for her.
"S-sorry I'm late Sir," she panted trying to catchher breath. "was held up at ground zero."

General Michael Simpson stared into the screen as the rotating image of the tower drew itself. There was activity on all levels, except for reception who had all evacuated, as was expected on a major office building such as Vale Corporations Tower. Seeing the small icon on the lower right that showed him that the image was also broadcasting to 7th platoon Michael put the radio headset back on. " Carmine, as you can see there's activity on all floors except for the one you're on now. Activity is most at the upper levels, i want you to secure all floors on your way up. 6th platoon is deploying on Heli's and will insert on top floor and make their way down. With any luck you'll meet up at these coordinates," A flashing red dot appeared on the level where they were planned to rendezvous, Michael paused for a second then continued, " We're assuming the terrorists are there, the hole is there and the most activity is there, but they may be spreading through the building. Be advised, the government has a level 1 classified project in this building, probably what the terrorists are after. Over." Michael turned around on the swivel chair and motioned for the tech to change the image on the screen. The tech quickly scrolled through them until Michael gave him a thumbs up, it was a satellite image of 1st Platoon, it showed 37 flashing strobes, small patches of shiny material that shows up as a "strobe" on infrared or on the satellite imaging. * This is not good, only 37?* Michael thought to himself as 2 more strobes went out, the strobes were powered by the heat given off of a soldiers body and were very sensitive to change, when a strobe went out it meant A) the soldier's environment suddenly became cold, though this wasn't likely because the patch is connected to the soldiers skin, and body temperature does not change easily. The second option was that the soldiers were dying, when a body dies there is nothing left to heat it, will retain its body heat for a while but will start to cool or almost immediately. Michael could very clearly see 4 soldiers down, the rest seemed to be standing, but Michael couldn't see them very clearly, * Must be a glitch* he thought to himself as he waited for Carmine's answer. He didn't expect the sergeant to be happy about running all the way up to the upper floors, securing a whole level every time they passed through one.

Jason Greene

" You let him win? What. The. Fuck!" Jason went to from sitting on the hood of the car to a hover. Then seeing the ice, he grinned, and started firing electric bolts at it. The funny thing about electricity and water is that water is a conductor, and so is ice so when the electric bolt hit the ice it spread like fire, bringing down 4 soldiers until eventually dying out. setting back down behind Rikard, where there was no ice, Jason's expressions changed back to the normal blank trademark stare, " So what are we gonna do now, I figure you guys have some type of plan?

Joseph zoomed into his position on his mini-map then moved it down to the bottom right of his HUD, his arm moving in the air to adjust it.

"Alright, the elevators look like they're down do to the power outage. We'll use the shaft to climb to the next level and get the drop on them. Homens, I need you to watch our back while Crow and I climb. Make sure no one comes wandering down the hall."

Homens nodded and patted his rifle.

"Move on me Crow."

Joseph, in a tactical crouch with his rifle against his shoulder, eye down the sight, moved down the hallway. The icon on his HUD mini-map moved with him. He braced himself up against the wall where the hallway cut-off to the elevator doors. His HUD showed no movement, but Joseph had learned to never fully rely on his tech. Joseph looked back to Crow and spoke through his helmet-mic to her headset.

"Looks cold."

Rikard

"Or I could have killed him. I pretended his water affected me. I could have easily frozen him there and then."
Rikard cooled the air around him, allowing the ice to spread from feet. Even if the inevitable happened the city would be frozen in place. Rikard watched as glass too his left shattered as his ice quickly consumed it. The car itself began to freeze.
Rikard clenched his fist, the doors cracked and fell off, allowing Bob and Warren to get out. Satisfied Rikard advanced forward. A Shifter in front of his him was nearly frozen over, soon he would be a statue. Eventually the face was covered, fear had finished off the Shifter. It was something Rikard's gift could take full advantage of. Rikard's fist was still clenched he brought it down on the statue. It shattered into pieces. Rikard looked back at Greene.
"To war Greene. The Gifted are mobilizing its time to join the fight. The corporation should be our primary target. But we can take the media center too," said Rikard coldly

Warren Young
"I can see Bobby and Rik trying to outdo eachother," said Warren looking angrily at his car, now completely covered in ice. "You owe me a car Rikard!" he shouted.

Hacker
"I don't mind. I'm glad you are here Tanya. The Catalyst is many levels underground.. i want the Shifters to get me there. If we don't get there before Ghost. Vale will be wasted," Hacker folded his arms.

Ghost

The storm gradually approached Vale very soon. Blood would rain down from the skies, and Vale would burn.

General Michael Simpson sat down and relaxed for a few moments, this was his battlefield and he was in command. He wouldn't let anything get past him if the terrorists decided to flee. It was going to end today, at least this is what he was telling himself as he apprehensively stared into the screen showing the helmet cam on Sergeant Carmine's helmet. Then the radio crackled to life, the General instinctively leaned forward, hoping for the best but expecting the worst.

" Ops to General, The heli's have been deployed. ETA 14 mikes, we have some strong winds interfering with the heli's flight. I've ordered the 15 mile radius around Vale Tower a no-fly zone except for our choppers and fighters. Over."

The General relaxed, it was just HQ reporting in, " Roger that, anything else to report? Do we have anything else on scope that we need to worry about? Over."

" No, sir. Skies are clear, no reports from out fighters, the outskirts of the city are not reporting anything unusual and the highways are just slightly more congested that normal. All the action seems to be happening around a 10 block radius around the Vale Tower. Over."

The General sighed, there the situation was better than he thought , but still bad, " Roger that, Simpson over and out. "
--------------
Jason Greene looked off into the distance, relaxing his muscles and letting his feet hang down. Taking a few deep breaths of the cold air before talking Jason closed his eyes, " War..... That word has many meanings, elaborate. How many are we, who are our targets and what are we up against. If its just these clowns," Jason shot a bolt of electricity from his palm facing the pinned down soldiers , taking another 3 down in the process to make a point, " then what are we waiting for? The few of us here right now could take out an army of these guys. Hell just me and you could take out an army of these guys. You freeze the ground and i hook up to a generator and shoot the ground with massive amounts of electricity. Then we have a Soldier steak, cooked medium rare for the vultures, huh? So what are we waiting for?" Jason opened his eyes and looked around. The last couple years had changed him, being solitary for that long does weird things to people and Jason had spent the last two years living in a Chernobyl, the radiation didn't effect him.
-----------

Sergeant Jesse Smith crouched down, pressing a button on the side of his Kevlar helmet. The tinted ballistic quality plastic that covered the front half of his helmet and stopping right below the nose to allow him to look down the sights of his M16 lit up with the HUD. He wanted to know what the sergeant was talking about and that was almost impossible when the sergeant insisted on utilizing these new HUDs. It didn't help that the man was wearing a different system that of the standard issue, though, in Jesse's opinion, the standard issue was far superior and less expensive. Pressing a few more buttons on the side of his helmet with his gloved hands Jesse rearranged the configuration on his HUD to show the Map as a minimap on the lower left corner and his ammo count on the right sidebar. He also adjusted the amount of light let in so he could see better in the light conditions they would have to be working in for the mission on hand. Today Jesse was in charge of fireteam Charlie which consisted of just three other men and no techs. " Sir, what about us, I don't think all of us can safely make it up the shaft. One of em throws a grenade or shoots a RPG down through it and our families will have that folded-up-into-a-triangle-flag in no time." Jesse had a MOS in security and was just doing what he was trained to do, consider the options the person in charge gave him and try to prove him wrong due to safety reasons. Basically Jesse had a MOS of being a pussy, but when being a pussy involved guns and blowing shit up and making sure people didn't blow up Jesse figured he would opt to being a pussy instead of being a truck driver or bulldozer operator for the military. Jesse checked his ammo level and count as he waited for the Sergeant to reply. The status showed Green for both.

Bob
Okay, it was time to rock and roll.
There was ice, hot water, and electricity. These SOB's didn't stand a chance. As if to prove a point, Bob cheered when Green and Ricard teamed up to obliterate a few soldiers.
"Nice work!" he said. Then the air cooled, and the doors fell off the car. Bob hopped out and started spraying randoms soldiers. The effect was kind of interesting. Soldiers would try ot avoid the ice/electricity and get nailed by the water. They tried to avoid the steam, and they got killed by the ice/electricity. Soon the numbers of dead soldiers seemed to rack up quickly.
"keep this up, and we'll have them all dead!" Bob crowed.
Tanya
Tanya/Randy was glad to here that Hacker didn't mind her lateness. Then he mentioned that he wanted the shifters to get to the Vale corporation and find the cattylyst ASAP.
"right you are, sir," she said. "I will break through the front. Shall you break through the back of the line"?
She didn't wait to hear the answer. Tanya was off, racing back towards the chaos of the city. As she went, she concentrated on her hands for a second, and a M-4 and a RPG launcher Then she transformed into the black for, and continued. soon replaced them. Then He made it back to the scene of chaos, and saw that soldiers and shifters were engaged in combat.
"Gifted and soldiers shall die!" he cried as he sprayed some bullets and grenades. As people looked around in confusion, he sent a signal to the shifters to follow her; then she bolted for the building.

The Catalyst and doctor Jamie Enfield

Vale Corporation, below ground, 9.35pm

The building shook violently, and the lower levels of the corporation had nearly collapsed, but the steel supports held firm. The lower levels hold yet another government secret, the Catalyst. An experiment which held the key for both gifted and shifter alike. A corridor leading from an elevator leads to a circular shaped room. In the centre is a glass tube held in place by metal pipes which are pumping in oxygen. In the tube contained a human, the first experiment in genetic manipulation, his main ability being able to enhance the gifts of others making them almost unstoppable. Watching the experiment and making sure know one finds a way to the lower levels is Jamie Enfield, another scientist originally at Project Zero. Moved prior to experiments escape. He held clip board in one hand a pen in the other; he had short blonde hair, and wore a white shirt, black trousers, and a long white lab coat with his name tag on. He stared intrigued and wrote down any significant changes in the Catalyst who also seemed to stare back. He also seemed to be contemplating something.
“The Shifters want you, Gifted to want to destroy you, and we have the honour of protecting you!” he shouted
“You had the choice,” responded the Catalyst telepathically.
“Interesting, you have gained telepathy,” said Enfield as he carried on making notes
“I simply realised my potential. I just wish I could say the same for my kind. Fuelled by anger and hate,” replied the Catalyst telepathically.
Jamie Enfield folded his arms and said, “If you have been confined for year’s revenge would be the first thing on any man’s mind.”
“I – have been confined for years!” shouted the Catalyst telepathically.

Doctor Yale and Adam Bayle

Yale pulled a panel off the wall; they had gotten into the Media Center by going around the back way, Bayle had used his lizard/snake form to eliminate gifted guards. Something he particular enjoyed. They were there because the Center had confidential information built into walls themselves, Yale was accessing the database. Bayle stood guard. She eventually found the chip and pulled it out. She smiled and placed it in her pocket
“Done now- “she looked at two gifted who had emerged at the corner. Bayle looked at her, the face told her to run.
Bayle transformed into his snake form. His red tongue licked the air around him. His green eyes ablaze. His arms became scaly and had been enlarged; he was the snake human definition of a tank. He charged forward, a fireball ripped through his scaly skin, blood trailed down his arm, his face was twisted. The gifted thrown into the wall, debris and rubble crumbled down on top of him. The other gifted attempted to a rabid run, and ended up being greeted by Bayle’s fist. With both enemies disabled, he transformed into his human self. He heard screams, and shattering of windows. As he arrived at the front of the building, the glass windows had been blown apart and Yale had been taken. He sighed. “Bitch...” his voice trailed.

Hacker and Raphael

Unlike Tanya’s explosive attack, Hacker simply walked to the building, any weak minded soldier soon ended up firing on his own team. A distraction which worked perfectly. Hacker smiled, but wondered how long it would be before his Zero’s caught them up. The Shifters were fighting an easy fight so far, and the City was falling almost as quickly as Hayburn. The Zero’s however, were by far the most formidable gifted bolstered by Rikard’s ice and Greene’s lightening it would be a difficult fight. He broke into a run, and remembered his magnum, he managed to take down a couple soldiers, and the sheer force of the bullet killed them instantly.

Vale Corporation
Raphael had made the descent to intercept soldiers occupying the tower. He was using his mist, and travelling by using the air vents. He could easily flood the rooms with gas, and choke them there and then but instead he opted to watch their progress. Joseph and his fire teams were unaware of imminent danger.
