Note that I'm being forced to make this thing against my will by a friend in order to store whatever sheets I end up making for his RPs. Blame him and not me if this ends up going dormant for months on end.

Kitanai
“Quote Here.”
http://safebooru.org//images/1300/1fbc6e1b10aab0b619c2fbbc3dbfb3dcee477be0.jpg?13536 97

Name
Kitanai Kagetsu (花月 污い, Kagetsu Kitanai), often called the Mud Man (泥男, Doro-otoko)

Age
33

Rank
Jonin

Archetype
Hopeless Fool

Chakra Nature
Earth, Water(?)

Focus & Skills
First and foremost of Kitanai's skills, according to those who fought both with him and against him during the days of the Third Shinobi World War is his mastery over Earth Release techniques related to the creation and manipulation of mud. While his abilities with his chakra nature are substantial, to the point of turning a battlefield into a massive mud-pool, Kitanai's true passion lies in the practice of medical ninjutsu, an art he has studied since his conscription into the Leaf Village's shinobi forces all those years ago.

Practically speaking, his years of study have rendered Kitanai an expert in a number of medical fields, with a particular talent for medical remedies, herbs, poultices, and the like. Surprising to no one, Kitanai specializes in remedies made with mud. Seeing as he's the son of a physician, he jovially exclaims that he must've been born into it.

After years fighting alongside a member of the Hyuga Clan's main branch in the Third Shinobi World War and dedicating himself to medical ninjutsu, Kitanai took his observations of both Tsugumi's application of her clan's trademark Gentle Fist style of Taijutsu and the teachings of medical ninjutsu to innovate his own style of fighting by drastically enhancing his physical capabilities with chakra.

His least practical skill in terms of combat comes in the form of his green thumb and natural gift for gardening. While the man himself is rarely clean, any location he stays in for any extended period of time will find itself full of blossoming flowers and newly planted saplings almost overnight. As one would expect, Kitanai grows a number of the ingredients he uses in medicine. He still claims the vegetables he grows are to die for.

Special Traits
Despite his origin as a common villager on the outskirts of the Land of Fire, many of Kitanai's contemporaries have taken notice of his considerable chakra pool and natural bullheadedness that has kept him going far longer than most others could conceivably stay standing. Outside of that, Kitanai does not come from a noteworthy bloodline of shinobi or retain any other unique genetic traits.

Equipment & Inventory
To be filled

Appearance
A taller than average man at 5'11", Kitanai has an almost blissfully casual look to him. His light brown hair always seems to be a mess, his clothes wrinkled, his beard scraggly, and his feet bare. Years of service in the Shinobi Forces have obviously left the man with a toned physique, but any amount of intimidation one could say he had is seemingly undone by the perpetual easy smile on his face at all times.

(Potentially more to be filled?)

Personality
More than half a lifetime of war would have an affect on even the most optimistic of minds, and while Kitanai certainly had his fair share of suffering during the war, at his heart, Kitanai remains a humble man who simply wants to help those in need in any way he can. This caused a large amount of inner turmoil for Kitanai during his years of service in the Third Shinobi World War. While his orders were continuously justified by his superiors as acts of necessity for the greater good, Kitanai couldn't help but wonder what it was all for. The young shinobi couldn't fathom abandoning others just for the sake of a mission or cutting people down for the sole crime of living in the wrong area of the world.

This resulted in his peers labeling him as hopelessly idealistic in a world of conflict

(More to be filled.)

Background
I imagine we need to hash out some stuff with this.

I know it's the guy from Haikyuu, but you try to find a decent image of a Genin aged character that looks vaguely normal.

Name
Katsurou Nakata (中田 勝郎, Nakata Katsurou)

Age
12

Rank
Genin

Archetype
Hopeless Fool

Chakra Nature
Unknown (Wind maybe?)

Focus & Skills
Strictly speaking, Katsurou is probably about as mundane of a newly graduated Genin as you'd be able to find. Unlike the vast majority of his fellow students, Katsurou had absolutely no prior experience with shinobi of any kind before his enrollment. He doesn't come from a long, distinguished line of ninja with some all powerful kekkei genkai, and he didn't endure a great tragedy early in life that caused him to dive headlong into training. He's simply a child from the Land of Fire's countryside who managed to convince his parents to let him become a ninja.

While certainly enthusiastic in class, Katsurou hovered at average to below average grades in every part of the curriculum. His relatively late start in training (enrolling at ten years old with the average graduation age being twelve was....something.) certainly didn't help matters.

The only area where Katsurou could be said to impress his fellow students would be in his admittedly considerable agility and natural reflexes. Though when your shuriken class consisted of other, significantly better coordinated young shinobi in training using you for a bit of target practice (the shuriken were dulled, of course.) you'd learn how to dodge and jump higher than most too.

Outside of that, Katsurou's got next to nothing when it comes to ninja skills. Your basic knowledge of just how in the hell Chakra works, how to pull off at least a halfway decent clone and transformation jutsu, and the wherewithal and hand to hand training to potentially not get murdered by an untrained street thug.

The only skill Katsurou picked up during his childhood in the countryside that might end up being applicable in Shinobi life would be rudimentary knowledge of plants and, more specifically, crops. That is to say, there's an outside chance that if he gets poisoned, he might just know what it is that's causing him to hallucinate giant cats. Though considering ninja probably have specifically manufactured poisons from rarer plants than what you'd find in the country, he'll probably end up doing more harm than good.

Special Traits
Zip. Nada. Zulch. Absolutely nothing.

Unless a GM who isn't me want to give him some kind of super secret potential to not get killed immediately or something.

Equipment & Inventory
For armament, Katsurou only retains whatever he was given by his teachers at the academy. Your stock amount of shuriken, kunai, explosive tags, and the like.

Name
Tensai Uchiha (うちは 天才, Uchiha Tensai)

Age
12 (Born May 12th.)

Rank
Genin

Archetype
Emo Uchiha Skilled Prodigy

Chakra Nature
Fire

Focus & Skills
Before his unpredictable fall from grace, there were many among the population of Konohagakure that thought of Tensai as the true genius of his generation. While the pedigree and history of his clan certainly didn't hurt the spread of such gossip, the claim was not without merit. Awakening the sharingan in only his third year at the Ninja Academy and conquering the Uchiha Clan's trademark Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique (http://naruto.wikia.com/wiki/Fire_Release:_Great_Fireball_Technique) soon after. While he scored near or at the top of his class in all physical curriculum at the academy, Tensai showed true potential in the realm of chakra control and manipulation, having been able to horizontally climb trees by only midway through his time at the academy.

This is not to say that Tensai's grades were perfect. He tended to suffer a drop off when it came to the less engaging classes such as history, mathematics, and geography, where Tensai lingered only slightly above the average. In the words of Tensai himself, if it didn't deal directly with the three main shinobi skills, he didn't pay as much attention as he could or should have. Math is boring even if it's ninja math.

It should come as a surprise to no one that Tensai mastered the few noteworthy techniques the academy taught its student body with little to no difficulty. Sadly, due to his unique predicament, the young genius of the Uchiha clan will almost assuredly have to rebuild his skills from the ground up.

Special Traits
As a descendant of the Uchiha Clan, the latent potential of Tensai awakening the Sharingan was always there. Nobody, however, expected him to awaken that potential before graduating from the Shinobi Academy. Why, at that rate, they said, he'd awaken the legendary Mangekyou Sharingan by the time he was twenty.

Equipment & Inventory
Tensai maintains a standard amount of shuriken, ninja wire and other tools in his possession at all times while on assignment.

Appearance
At the almost extraordinarily ordinary height of 4'10", (Blurp)

Scientific image (http://oi60.tinypic.com/2zqxv6s.jpg) of what Tensai will probably look like after puberty. Sadly Tensai's DNA was entered into the machine before he went blind so the image seems to think his eyes will be perfectly normal.

Personality
Despite the relatively high scrutiny that was placed on him by the Uchiha Clan in the first several years of his life, Tensai remained an unerringly grounded, kindhearted and carefree child, unburdened by the expectations and responsibilities of being a member of the Uchiha Clan. It could be said that this is due in no small part to his mother's influence. It was no secret that Narumi attempted to raise her son outside the cutthroat internal clan politics that divide the Uchiha, and as such, Tensai could usually be seen anywhere except the Uchiha Clan's compound.

Wandering the village streets, helping old ladies with groceries, shuriken target practice. Tensai did it all. To him, life was great. He had a loving mother, friends, and no true worries in life. That he excelled at the Ninja Academy and was showered with praise because of it only added to his happy and confident demeanor. Amongst those in charge of the Uchiha Clan and the Ninja Academy alike, it was often said that Tensai lacked the diligence needed to make full use of his inherent ability, seeing as he frequently cut more "boring" classes in order to play games or get in extra ninjutsu training. However, most save the most rigid of clan elders assumed that Tensai would grow into his abilities in time once he had been exposed to life as a full fledged Genin.

As could be expected after the tragedy of his mother's death, Tensai has suffered a drastic shift in perspective and demeanor, becoming generally more distracted and distant, to the point where his reputation could be considered well-deserved. While still respectful and uniformly kind to his peers and superiors, Tensai has effectively put a wall between his emotions and his everyday life, though this can arguably be just a phase of the grieving process, and while pieces of Tensai's former personality are still locked away within him, it will take him some time for him, and his friends, to pull him back to his feet.

Background
A story not dissimilar to some of his classmates at the hidden leaf's ninja academy, Tensai was born near the tail end of the recent Shinobi World War to an Uchiha kunoichi by the name of Narumi and a man who's name Tensai never learned or heard of. One thing he wasn't allowed not to know about his father, however, was that the man clearly wasn't what the Elders of the Uchiha clan would call a worthy suitor for one of the Uchiha's brightest kunoichi.

Though Tensai was permitted to bare the name Uchiha, Narumi was all but cast out by her clan and forced to raise Tensai as a single mother. Despite this, Tensai has shown no ill will towards his situation or his clanmates. Too young to understand the implications of such things, Narumi instead chose to raise Tensai as a normal child of the Leaf Village, and the Uchiha Clan was content to let her do so. That is, until Tensai enrolled in the village's Ninja Academy at the normal age of eight.

Once he began his formal shinobi training, Tensai emerged as an almost effortlessly gifted practitioner of the ninja arts. Initially, the development was simply dismissed due to Tensai's being an Uchiha. After all, Uchiha were expected to be better than most, if not all, of their contemporaries. But Tensai had no such formal training at the hand of his clanmates like everyone seemed to assume, which only added to his steadily growing reputation. However, within a year, the conjecture only seemed to grow. Tensai was already capable of walking up the side of a tree. It wouldn't be long until he was spewing fireballs from his mouth like the other shinobi of his clan. These were the sort accolades the more knowledgeable in their implications gave to Tensai, and without a doubt, Tensai lived up to them in every area save written grades.

All said, this time of Tensai's life was the closest thing to euphoric he'd probably ever get. Praised by his peers and superiors alike, the center of attention in pretty much any class he was in, and a blissfully happy home life? What more could a young shinobi in training ask for? (Something about awakening the Sharingan here? I have to think about how that happened outside of it being stupidly mundane.) All that was left was the formality of the graduation exam and Tensai would be on his way to becoming a hero like those in the stories his mother always told him about.

Some months later, Tensai aced the graduation exam with top marks in all fields, and to celebrate, Narumi took him on a trip to the Land of Fire's countryside. He'd finally done it. All the hard work had payed off. He could start living life like everyone else. Well, living life like every other shinobi. Tensai doesn't quite remember how it started or who the attackers were, rogue shinobi, bandits, barbarians, it didn't matter. The one sight still fresh in Tensai's mind is that of a tanto shoved cleanly through his mother's gut. The next minute or so was a blur, a man approaching him with his weapon drawn, a blink, the feel of blood running down his eye, the scream of a man writhing on the ground, set ablaze by the black flames of the Amaterasu, and then nothing. Absolutely nothing.

The sheer amount of chakra output and pain required to activate his mangekyou sharingan was too much on Tensai's young body, and the action effectively destroyed his optic nerves, rendering him blind. The boy was found by a pair of travelers some time later and returned to Konoha, where he has slowly begun the process of grieving his mother and moving forward. Despite his predicament, Tensai maintains his desire to become a shinobi, seeing it as a way to honor his mother and ensure he doesn't spend the rest of his life in mourning.

As the death of Narumi and Tensai's subsequent blindness occurred very recently, Tensai has not been seen since, and the graduation ceremony will be the first time in several days that any of his classmates have laid eyes on him.

Notes
I promise he's not totally emo.

Name: Nereus

Gender: Male

Age: Est. 4,000,000,000+

Appearance: The Falling has not been kind to the Lord of Oceans. Where once the King of the Seas stood well over six foot tall and possessed the physique one might expect to be sculpted into the iconography of mortal civilizations, Nereus now stands at a lowly five foot five, his face gaunt, and his complexion pale. A true shadow of his former self, Nereus no longer even possesses the scales that made him so easily identifiable. Nereus hypothesizes that this is due in no small part not only due to the loss of his godly power, but the pollution of the Seas by mankind in relatively recent years, for when the Seas suffer, so too, does Nereus.

The one identifier Nereus has managed to retain following the loss of his godly powers are his inhumanly blue, piercing eyes that seem to reflect everything from a calm lull in the sea to a raging whirlpool or gnashing tsunami. If it were not for the eyes that so vividly display the emotions of the Lord of Oceans, his fellow Gods would be hard pressed to actually realize who it was that stood before them.

Sphere of Influence: The Seas, Oceans, and Aquatic Life

Faction: Balance

Powers: (I'm assuming his powers come from saltwater rather than just water in general. Do tell me if I'm wrong and also if I gave him too much and all that. Just how powerful and how much he can do outside of water is up to the GMs because I'm an idiot who can't decide on such things.)

As the personification of the Earth's Seas and Oceans, it comes as a surprise to no one that Nereus' powers stem from his unmatched control over the element of water and his absolute authority over the Seas themselves and the creatures that call his waters their home. Sadly, however, like every other God, Nereus' abilities have been drastically curtailed by the events of The Falling, and he retains only a fraction of his awesome power during the previous millennia.

- Modified Physiology: For how weakened he is, the God of the Seas is still fearsome when he finds himself in his element. Nereus' mortal form still has the full capability of breathing underwater and, as such, is immune to drowning. Along with this, Nereus' body is well adjusted to the extreme pressure felt on the Ocean floor, being capable of walking there with his only inconvenience being lack of light whereas most mortals would find themselves dead.

- Marine Communication: Nereus is still fully capable of communicating telepathically or otherwise with the creatures of the sea and commandeering them into his service. Only rather than being able to summon any and all inhabitants of the Oceans from across the globe, he is only capable of communicating with those in his direct vicinity due to his weakened state.

- Strength of the Sea: When he is capable of being at least (x amount) submerged in water, Nereus' strength, speed, reflexes, and senses all drastically improve comparatively to those of a baseline human. (Need to figure this out.)

- Riffle Rejuvenation: In the rare scenario that Nereus finds himself mortally wounded, if he can manage to drag himself into the open ocean and fully submerge whatever body part the wound is located on, depending on the severity of the injury, Nereus will find himself healed either within moments, or, in drastic cases, several hours. No wound cannot be healed in longer than a day, and outside of removing an eyeball or cutting off an extremity, no wound cannot be healed this way.

- Aquatic Awareness: The Oceans cover the majority of the Earth, and their protector must be able to find any who enters his domain. If any creature, aquatic or otherwise, finds themselves at least knee deep in a source of water connected to the open ocean, Nereus can locate them effectively instantly. Or rather, he could. In his mortal form Nereus has all but lost this power, with only the location of his amphibious children and other creatures within (x distance) reaching him subconsciously, and only if he himself happens to be submerged.

- Elemental Affinity: While the days of Nereus shifting his form to that of saltwater itself and bending the entirety of the Atlantic to his will for use as a massive tidal wave are gone, the weakened God still possesses a moderate amount of control over his elemental force of nature. With or without his Trident, Nereus is capable of using an open source of water for his whims. This usually entails either a continuous jet of water for blunt trauma or, more delicately, forcing the stuff down the throat of a target to induce drowning. The extent of this power relies heavily on just how much water is available for use.

- Shape shifting: As progenitor of almost all aquatic life on Earth, Nereus is more than comfortable shifting forms to those of sharks, whales, crabs and koi. While Nereus was previously capable of using the forms of any number of aquatic creatures as he wished at the same time and on a much larger scale, from the teeth of a shark to the pincers of a crab, he is now only able to take the full, regularly scaled form of any given sea creature at a time, and only while in water.

Equipment: The only piece of Godly regalia Nereus has been able to reclaim since The Falling is his ornate trident (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=1848612&d=1382482403), which he has never been seen without. (Forgive me if they're supposed to have more mundane stuff.)

Personality: Nereus has been called a rather moody and temperamental God by his peers, and this claim certainly isn't without merit. In his billions of years of existence, Nereus has wavered dramatically between either enthusiastically collaborating with his contemporaries to all but isolating himself at the bottom of the world's oceans in the face of what many would call minor slights.

This is not, however, to say Nereus is brash or short sighted. On the contrary, Nereus has steadily built a reputation for his deep thinking and ability to see the big picture. One does not rise to as high a position as Nereus has by acting purely on impulse. Nereus is obviously a capable administrator, and if not for the fact that his emotions seem to shift into the realm of the extreme at the flip of a switch, Nereus believes he'd probably be far more well liked.

The only position Nereus has held firm to for millennia is his staunch defense of the Seas and every manner of aquatic life, from the titanic blue whale to the microscopic zooplankton. While Nereus is certainly capable of a raging storm of anger, his true ire is only gained when one threatens those precious to him and the sanctity of his domain. To a much less primal degree, Nereus has been considered a pillar of Selrina's faction of Balance, often harboring fellow members of the faction under a facade of annoyance.
