Well, I guess it's about time I made a new art thread here in RPA (new because I had one before the site change last year XD ). Plus I believe I've improved a lot since the last art thread, so I might as well stop my laziness and actually resurrect it.

Anyway...

Okay, to start things off, you guys have been practically eye-raped by the cuteness of my pervy Ark. Stare at it if you must-shot-

Also, just like before, I am open to requests! So just drop a comment down below on what you want if you have anything in mind. :)

And yes, for once, my artworks have color! 8D Those people out there who happen to still remember my last art thread would probably also remember that I mentioned back then that I didn't have Photoshop or the likes, which is why I was only limited to black and white pencil drawings. I still do those kinds of works, but it should be expected that I nowadays use my tablet and the Photoshop Elements program to draw and color in my artworks more often than I do with pencil and paper. I do once in a while though actually draw with pencil and then color in the drawing with Photoshop. Like for example~

This is Viseda. My character, Erina Lace's Paramorph for the roleplay "Paramorphs". Sadly, the roleplay died sometime ago, and I wasn't even able to reveal my character's paramorph before it did, which makes me sad because darn it this thing took me hours to make. XD

So far, it is the only drawing I've finished with both pencil and PSE. That doesn't mean I might not do this sometime later. Like right now, I'm working on one of my favorite pencil drawings using PSE so I could color it in. This drawing being this~

Oh yeah, please note I have weird problems when it comes to drawing girls... I have no idea why. I guess it has something to do with me being a bishounen supporter back in my preteen years. XD

This drawing of Retsu and now named "Jett" was made sometime 2008. Years later, I redrew them and even did a comparison meme with Retsu.

By now, my proportions have improved a lot, and I even had the decency to fix Retsu to stop making him look like a random Digimon... Oh wait, now he looks like Leomon... CRAP-

Jeez he looked horrible back then... In fact, that horrible version you see next to him was actually a sketch of the real horror I made years ago when I was 10.

This little image was a picture I took of the corner of a paper which I attempted to write the whole story of Ark's life on... FFFF- Dear jeez my writing was horrible back then (like as if I got better anyway. AHAHA).

His original story was about how 5 people with elemental powers had to stop the son of the grim reaper who goes by the name... Grim... (how predictable) from... you guessed it, taking over the world. But each time he is defeated, he is resurrected into the next generation and whatnot, and Ark happens to be the fire elemental user of the current generation. A lot was expected from them since this was the last time Grim would come back, yada yada, his parents were half angel-half human and half demon-half human which caused him to have his brothers' souls trapped inside of him, yada yada, his parents were killed when he was a baby, yada yada, gets hooked up with a random girl at one point in his life, yada yada, meets the other elemental guys and a bunch of demon people, yada yada, insert sue-fiction here, etc. etc., until he wins and his brothers end up getting their own bodies to live in, and he gets the girl. THE END.

...How I utterly despise that story now. DX Which is why I remade him into the character he is now, and I have to say, remaking him was the best thing I've done in a while. Seriously, taking advantage of the fact he's a flirt and a total perv is fun. XD

By now you guys would probably be annoyed with all the random spoilers in my thread, so I'll be doing you guys a favor and just give you the link of my deviantart so that you guys could take a look at my other works (and perhaps see how much one can improve in 3 years HURRHURR) if you want to.

Coming back here again, I felt it was that time again to update my art thread... When was the last time I touched this?

Anyway, to start things off, I had yet another character development meme posted in my gallery some time ago, and I really have to say now, that improvement meme seriously showed how much I've improved in drawing. And to think, many years ago, I was so proud of the original drawing.

One thing I must admit, I have a rather large amount of fanart appearing in my gallery, and lately the only character I have been drawing fanart of would be my favorite Darkstalker character, Jon Talbain or Gallon if you play the Japanese version.

The second one is actually a WIP, because I haven't placed in the background I intend on placing in sometime later.

The main reason why I was actually drawng JT a lot lately was because only recently I noticed that I was not the only JT fan who has been asking for his legitimate appearance in the fighting game aside from Darkstalkers itself. In fact, because of some places I found online, I was seriously surprised to see that the JT fanbase was actually a lot bigger than I thought it was, and now the fanbase is actually really pushing for JT's appearance for MVC3 for DLC. Out of dedication to the JT fans out there, I drew the second one specifically for them.

I've also done a couple of fanart of certain memes that have been roaming around nowadays, and through this next part, you can actually see I'm not just limited to computer art when it comes to fanart.

Well, unless you recognize the meme or the game I based the image from, then it's probably not as funny as it should be. Nevertheless, where these characters come from is actually a very fun game called "Tales of Vesperia," which I actually seriously enjoy playing. You guys should probably try it sometime. Jeez, I love the game so much, I've already cosplayed as two of the main characters in the game before. Though, I'm not going to post pictures of me cosplaying over here, cause lately I've been too embarrassed/shy to post that specific cosplay anywhere. LOL

Yes. This was in fact my wallpaper for a while. This only came about when my sister changed the nice family desktop background with some picture of a guy I don't even know or care about. I proceeded to edit the picture in order to show her how I felt about what she did through means of art.

I shall now proceed to quote myself from the old deviation you could find the WIP from.
"For our art class, we were given a sculpture/statue project with Modern Art as the main theme, and we could pick what type/style of Modern Art to use. In my case, I decided to go for modern pop art, and what's more modern and popular than the ever famous PEDOBEAR? XD"

The funny thing was, I got that statue put on display in my school...
Did I forget to mention I go to an all-girl school filled with minors? AHAHAHAAHAH

Oh, and on a random note, no guides were used making that. I in fact made that sculpture completely out of memory. XD

Oddly though, my fanart nowadays isn't entirely limited to meme or VG fanart. In fact, I've done fanart of books I've read... Okay, maybe it's not exactly fanart since I had to do it or fail the group. LOL

This was made based on what my classmates wanted me to draw, and it was meant to be the cover of our movie soundtrack project we were given. Now that I look at it again, I'm starting to get a little Legend from the Crypt Keeper vibe looking at his old man form. XD

Now, when I made this, I decided to approach the art differently for once, which is why the art style is pretty different from the other stuff I have posted here. I'm personally proud of this honestly. Just wish the picture format didn't mess up the picture quality. DX

Oh, the irony of this post.

Anyway, considering how it's been how long since my last update, and I'd say I improved since the last post, I'm going to go ahead and update this thread after all this time of in activity.

So here we go. Post number 3.

Something I have to admit is that I have not given up on rp'ing since my inactivity. In fact, as of late all my rp'ing was done over at deviantArt, specifically among the dA rp groups there. I guess being able to draw and roleplay for points at the same time caught my fancy very much. In fact, most of my recent art on dA are works dedicated to group activity, so this post will be mainly filled with my rp group artworks.

Since I noticed my past posts had an improvement portion in them and one of those characters in the improvement portions happened to be Kein Royles, I decided that for this post, I'll continue the improvement portion of said character.

Sometime after I posted Kein over here, there was eventually a group on dA that caught my attention, and I ended up choosing Kein as my character for the group. Seeing how very fantasy based the RP was, Kein had to go through a slight redesign so that he would fit the type of fantasy the group had as he looked a little too modern for their tastes. Eventually though thanks to things that happened to the character and etc, he ended up going through a lot more changes than I expected. The funny thing is, the more he changed, the better my coloring style became notably.

Speaking of coloring style, I have also been practicing my coloring and shading as the two were never really my forte to begin with. After some several tutorials and an introduction to Paint Tool SAI thanks to some friends, I have some tests posted in my gallery. Used my characters as subjects once again.

One of the rp'ies I got into recently became some sort of roller coaster ride in terms of emotions for my character a while back; so much that it even got me emotional. I also learned a new coloring style at the time, so you can imagine what was the first thing I wanted to draw and test the coloring on. It didn't help the music I was listening to while drawing this was emotional beyond all reason as well.

This picture remains to be one of my favorites despite the obvious anatomy mistake in it simply because of how I was able to grasp the sadness the two had during this point in time.

This is the first time I tried coloring something and removed the lineart for a sort of realistic effect. I think I still need to work on the realistic skill first as there are so much things that disappeared due to having no lines and I think there are some obvious lighting mistakes here.

The intention behind this picture is just me trying to show a sort of evil coming from one of my characters. He unfortunately happens to be an incubus, so naturally the easiest way to show this dark side was to draw him in this way.

More or less a reply to the last picture since this is me trying to show evil again, but just with another character. Sadly I failed to notice that I already used a tongue in the last picture, so now I feel like I just repeated the last picture with just a different character. Whoops.

Tried to go for a serial killer face more or less, though kinda ruined it with failing on the position of his eyes/irises. OTL;;;

And on a random note, I mentioned somewhere I just got into college, and the course I am in fact taking up is a Bachelor of Arts in Animation. So naturally, I'll have to make animations at one point.

o_O I absolutely love this post *0* So amazing. I wish I could draw like you, in the cartoonish sort've way... I'm only decent with realistic sort've art. I've tried drawing cartoon for a while and it's devistating that I've been drawing ever since I was like 7 and I can't draw cartoon art. Anime is probably my weakest spot but you're really good at it. :D I love the incubus especially for obvious reasons.

Mmmkay, so I want to boost up my activity over here in RPA, and my first natural inclination to do is post a new reply to my pretty old art thread. Definitely from the last time I was here, I improved a lot in my art, though I have to admit I think because of drawing too much, my writing side of things has been deteriorating, though that's besides the point here. xDDD

Anyway, here we go. Post number 4~

Some moments ago, I went to check my old Art Thread from the first site, when I noticed this post with my OC Rolento Charlot (here is the post in question- [link] (http://w11.zetaboards.com/Roleplay_Adventures/single/?p=8347958&t=7160057) ). Now, it's been more than 3 years since he was first created, though actually until now I do in fact use him, though he goes by his nickname more than his first name nowadays.

Like mentioned in that post, he was first a D.Gray Man OC turned Sci-fi character. Though until a couple years back (around 2), I joined a group and decided to make him go back to his D.Gray Man routes of being an exorcist. He has in fact went through a couple of changes since then.

Specifically, Roland was given an image update for the group and kept only some concepts from his original design when I brought him in at the time, and yeah, you may recognize him from my last post with the over emotional image. XD

Below is pretty much the change he has went through, and the last image is his current appearance. Notably his newest design follows the original concept he had more than the updates before it.

Moving on, yeah, I'm going to bring up Kein into this post as well since speaking of updates, he went through a couple of them again. xD Well, technically two, but it's still a lot to me. xD

Personally, this update would have to be my favorite because it definitely resembles the first app picture I made for him in a lot of ways though at the same time shows how much I have improved since then. Also his dragoon armor touches the feel I've been trying to achieve from the start best out of all the updates.

On the note of character art, here's a couple of that were submitted a while back into groups around dA. As to why I'm posting these here... Well, these characters were actually RPA intended characters. 8'D

I love the semi realistic style, so it was no surprise I decided to try it out on Kein a while back. xD I'm proud of this picture on many levels simply because it got me knowing that my coloring and art is really going somewhere now.
