Fragments and Memories
8.00pm, Aurha, 2369
Two temporal blackbird helicopter gunships flew over the empty wilderness, heading for Melbourne, a small Time Jumper base near the outskirts of Citadel Solitude. On board were three Time Jumpers from the past. The three were being placed in charge of the base temporally. As the base loomed, each one had a strange....
8.00am, 2010
Warren woke up from his sleep, snapped from the dream only this time he did not end up at Melbourne. He saw his father checking his equipment, and quickly began to get dressed.
"So Dad, where are we moving to this time?" asked Warren as he finished placing his samurai sword in its sheath.
"Well. A direct frontal assasult on Shadows of Intent."
Warren looked at dad with mixed expression, "That massive Temporal Dreadnought! are you mad?"
Stephen sighedn, and left the shelter, shortly followed by his son, who asked, "How do you expect us to get on board?"
Stephen shrugged, "Deal with that problem when it comes son."
They both climbed over the pile of rubble, and Warren asked, "What was it like Dad? in the past. I here -"
"The past is no longer relevant son," said Stephen swiftly, as he backed up to a wall and checked for danger. "Time has no meaning anymore."
"I wish i could believe. But something. This isn't right. This is wrong," said Warren shaking his head.
"Of course its WRONG!" shouted Stephen. "Sorry son." Stephen continued walking up the pavement and the Shadows of Intent loomed menacingly overhead, and in the outer atmosphere so did the Athena
1940
Grey's team rushed around, as casualties rolled in. Indeed the initial attack had surprised them. But he planned an immediate counterstrike. He approached the Syndrix's main console and began to run a scan of the Athena.
"Wow...." Grey's voice trailed.
James grabbed Em's hand and demanded she come aboard the Athena. 'It's not safe here. Please come with me. I promise no harm will come to you."

Connor looked over his shoulder at the Hider and Em, they were old, older than he remembered them. Then a realization hit him, *I'm old too arn't I?* he thought to himself. A lieutenant walked up to him, "Sir, we can't hold it in much longer, we need to do something....
4:30 AM October 14, 2314 West Point Military Academy-
Connor jumped out of bed and went into a fighting position putting all his weight on the balls of his feet and his eyes darting around. His sweat glistened in the light the moon cast into the room and he defiantly noticed something was alerting him, something was wrong. Then it hit him , " Em, Hider!" Looking around him for a moment Connor relaxed and fell down on his bed. " What the hell am I saying...." rubbing his eyes he looked at the clock, it read 4:30 AM October 14, 2314. Then Connor smiled, it was his promotion day, or rather, ceremony. He had been promoted to Captain a few days ago and was assigned to a new division , but it wasn't the same as your commanding officer in dress uniform pinning that new insignia onto your collar. Connor's smile went away instantly as he thought of the room a couple days ago where he was promoted.
3:00 AM October 8, 2314 Fort Detrick -
Lieutenant Connor Knight took a sharp right into the military base. His Humvee was the only car on the road at this time of night in a town as small as Red Rock and he was the only one in the car. He blinked as his the large hummer's headlights danced across the fences and trees that lined the perimeter of the base. Reaching a security gate he flashed his military ID and the man gave him a thumbs up then tapped a few buttons to lower the barrier. Finding a open spot to park Connor parked the hummer, letting the engine idle for a second before turning off the lights and the engine. Taking a small note on a piece of paper from his pocket Connor double checked the address and location where he would meet the recruiter before stepping out of the car.
LT. KNIGHT,
3:00 AM, FORT DETRICK,
ROOM 132
Stepping out of the car Connor jumped out and quickly walked across the gravel path to a doorway, the cold night air biting his cheeks. Swiping his ID to unlock the door Connor stepped inside and took a look around the hallway. " Just like high school...." Connor said out loud. Then walked to find Room 132.
3:15 AM, Room 132-
" Finally found it...." Connor spoke out loud, then gathering up his courage he knocked on the door. " Come in," a voice inside boomed. Inside Connor found a small unfurnished concrete room, the only furniture was a desk and a chair, both occupied by his apparent recruiter. Stepping forward and closing the metal door behind him Connor stepped up to the desk and went into Parade rest. " Second Lieutenant Connor Knight, United States Army, 4th Infantry, Alpha Company, sir!" Connor took on a blank stare and looked off into the distance at the wall behind the recruiting officer. " Yes I know Lieutenant. So, you want to be spec-ops eh?" Connor replied, " Yessir!" The recruiter stared at Connor for a few moments, " You know the risks, benifits, the responsibilities?" Connor replied again with a swift " Yessir!" then, " You applied for Tier One, correct?" Connor replied with yet another "Yessir!" the recruiter leaned onto the desk and clasped his hands, " Well sorry son, but you've been denied." Connor's heart sank as he heard those words, then the recruiter continued, " But, I have something better. What would you say to joining a new Spec-ops devision. Same responsibilities, same risks, same benifits, but you will cease to exist. You're records deleted, everywhere. You're family will be informed of your death, your friends will mourn and we will arrange your funeral while you train in your new MOS, temporal combat. If you accept, you're records will be transfered to their private database, you'll be promoted to captain and- " Connor stopped the recruiter, " I accept ,sir. When do i start." The recruiter smiled and shook his hand, " Welcome to Torchwood, son."
11:00 AM October 14, 2314 West Point Military Academy-
Connor stood in formation with the rest of the Torchwood recruits. The recruiter he saw a few days ago was on stage saying some speech that Connor wasn't really listening to. His parents were on in the bleachers across from him with the hundreds of other parents witnessing their sons and daughters officially being promoted and transferred to a special operations division that couldn't be named to civilians. His dad, a preeminent politician, mother and brother were in the middle of the crowd and trying to attract his attention. Then he heard the Recruiter start calling names, " Jones, Smith, Carlsson, Greene. Congratulations. Ibeh, Goodkind, Wright, Knight." Connor walked up to the stage and the Recruiter pinned on his new rank to the collar of his uniform. Connor couldn't help smiling as he saluted to the recruiter.
12:00PM October 14, 2314 West Point Military Academy-
Connor ran up to his parents, giving them hugs and kisses and telling them how much he had missed them trying to keep a blank face. This would be the last time they saw him, ever. His mother told him to stay safe, his father told him to succeed in whatever he was doing and Connor told his brother to make sure his parents were always safe. At 1:00 PM the parents were told they had to go, Connor hugged his family for the last time and told them that he would miss them so much. They told him to stay safe and kissed him goodbye. Connor watched them drive off. A few days later they would get a call that he was killed in an unfortunate training exercise involving explosives. They would give them a folded up American flag and send there apologies. There would be a funeral. Connor wouldn't be there, he would probably be on his way to some fort to get his new training.

'Time is fragmented Warren. To repair it you must - sacrifice your sanity' -Syndrix
Warren sighed, "Syndrix the last time i did that - I -"
"Hallucinated" finished the SYNDRIX
"Yes, and nearly brought two worlds together..." continued Warren nervously.
"To understand the problem, you must see it with your own eyes" replied the SYNDRIX.
"Is that why you er got me to make a fragmented timline stretching throughout this facility." Warren looked behind him, string with articles, paper and pictures were strung across many rooms in the Time Lab.
"It will help you prepare. I fear -" the SYNDRIX became distorted.
"Fear what?" questioned Warrren.
"The End."
Warren didn't like the sound of that. "What is the end?" he questioned.
"It is the First, and that it is all need to know. For Now." replied the SYNDRIX.
Warren rolled his eyes, and said, "You said something about Torchwood. Who are they?"
"A mystery. You must solve"
"I hate you SYNDRIX" sauid Warren as he made his way to stealth sector, he ducked under a low string. It was like navigating a maze. He was told a time jump anywhere could cause fragments to widen, so being here was no choice of his own. His fragment was out of sync. Not everything had seemingly changed. As he entered the stealth sector he, used the monitor to analyse certain fragments. Scans indicated just how damaged time was. Warren wondered what was between the gap. He brought up two other files on the databse. Josie and Joseph.
He whispered softly, "Jumper. Josie. I need you." a tear rolled down his cheek.
2010
A Time soldier patrol was heavy around the ship, how they expected tp get on board Warren had no idea.
'Josie... James is dangerous.' he heard a familar voice and ghost of him ran past following a quite attractive blonde women with her hair tied back. She giggled and said, "Danger is our speciality Warren."
Warren stopped in his track. He was hallucinating surely. Stephen spun around, "Come on Warren we haven't got all day!" He crouched behind a car and took aim with his desert eagle. Warren quickly did the same. They were aiming at two black corps soldiers. They had attached silencers before hand. Stephen and Warren fired at the same time. Dual head shots, the soldiers crumpled to the ground. Dead. It had been that easy. Stephen smiled and they continued moving.
Warren again saw the ghost the women. He felt he should know her but he didn't. Who was she? and why was she so important? Warren sighed he would find out someday. But not today. They were other things to do.

October 24, 2315 Space Shuttle New York-
"Eagle 3 to Station, do you copy?"
" This is Station, affirmative on that copy, how was the trip?"
The pilot chuckled, " You know better than to start chatter on a secure military frequency," the pilot paused, and chuckled once again," It was same old, same old. Requesting docking procedure, we have a transport of 100 men, Torchwood authorization One-Beta-One-Foxtrot. Request Landing pad Bravo."
" Copy that, you're cleared for 120 minuet dock at landing pad Bravo. Take approach on heading five-five point 4, one eighth speed."
Connor's eyes burst open and scanned his area for danger.
*Why woke me? We're arriving. Is there danger? No. Where am I? Torchwood space station. Here to escort package. Is it safe? Absolutely not, but that's the fun of it.* He thought to himself and for a split second a smile appeared on his face, then just as quickly, vanished. Looking around Connor saw the most of the men were still asleep, space travel did that to you, especially one not longer than a day, but normally longer than 12 hours. Connor unstrapped himself and walked to the front of the shuttle, waking up a few men on the way there. Finally reaching the front he looked through the cockpit window and observed the moon, it was brilliantly bright, with craters popping up, and down, everywhere. And just over the horizon he saw it, a giant building, or what appeared to be one, floating just above the surface of the moon, the Lunar Space Station. " Pilot, what's our situation?" Connor looked at the man in front of him, previously a Marine, currently in the NSA, Previously a Pilot, currently in Air Force Orbital Security. He had no rank, yet outranked, and was the subordinate of everyone. He was a interesting man with many secrets, and you could tell that, but not much more. " Calm yourself LT, were initiating docking procedures now, you'll be off this ship in 20 mins. Max." Connor nodded at the man and stepped out of the cockpit, signaling his sergeants to wake their squads up. They were home, or what they would be calling home for the next six months as they provided security for the Torchwood section of the Lunar Space Station. There were to be no mistakes, this was Connor's first real command since he left his career as a G.I.

Em grabbed onto her fathers hand and allowed him to pull her onto the ship. She trusted him. She had to he was her father.
2010
Em stood outside the Shadows of Intent her sniper trained on the two men who had just taken out two of their men. Firing a shot she got the older one in the arm. Sliding out of place she snuck around to get behind them and trained her weapon on the head of the younger male. He seemed about her age and strangely familiar. Em waved his away and continued to train her sniper on his head.
"Get up and place your hands on your head," she hissed her face covered by her mask, "both of you."

Warren just shrugged, 'Trust me'
'Why?' asked Stephen
'I'm a man with a plan.' continued Warren. He had dropped his sniper rifle, and standing up he placed his hand on his head along with his father. "Where too?" he asked the girl.

Em smirked at Stephen and nudged Warren on with the muzzle of her rifle. Cocked up? Who used that any more? Except for her old man ofcourse.
"Well normally I might take you to the Stealer and let him decide," she chuckled, "but he's given me free reign this time. Unfortunately for you two I also have command of a small lab in the Shadow. I do hope niether of you have loose tounges. That would just be boring."
Emily chuckled and led both men onto a lift that would take them into the ship. Quickly pulling out a couple of black bags she put them over their heads to block out their vision.
"Can't have you gents memorizing the layout," she giggled, "wouldn't want that."

Warren sighed, from beneath his bag and muttered something under his breath, he had an idea once they were on board, and he had quick reflexes he just had to hope they were walking down a long corridor at the time. Running is difficult after all when a bag is on your head.
Warren said, "So you soldier scientist. Type of girl.... cute."
Stephen just shook his head.

Grey Short powered up SYNDRIX temporal generator and inititated the temporal pull. 'Keep this fragment stable SYNDRIX!"

Warren felt dizzy suddenly, he seemed to sway a little from side to side, "What....?" he questioned as he was seemingly pulled through time and what he saw as he did enter vortex, was destruction, the time vortex was healing by exploding itself. Warren could see the cracks and something on the other side....
He then landed in the Time Lab of 1940, dazed, and bewildered.
Stephen unaware of his son's disappearance, said "You can't defeat the Time Jumpers, we will fight.... always."

Hive.... SYNDRIX.... future.... time... and space.... monument to your sins..... i am two sides of the same coin...... i am your truth.... but also your lies... i have seen this coming, and while you fight eachother... they will come through to our world, and the darkness shall reign forever and always. Emily whirled about in search of Warren when he disappeared. Where had he gone?! Was it some sort of temporal flux? Em frowned, and pushed Stephen on.
"You Time Jumpers are weak," Em said not letting Stephen know of his sons disappearance, "it doesn't matter if you keep coming back. Well just get rid of you like the pesky weed you are. Now shut up and keep walking."
Em looked behind then where Warren had disappeared and a tear slid down her cheek. Why did she feel so scared for a Time Jumper?

January 27, 2318-
Connor looked out of his office at the now finished Torchwood 1, the engineers were doing their final tweaks and packing up their equipment. His mission had been a success, though it wasn't very hard to guard something no one knew about. The mission had lasted longer than expected, he was only supposed to be assigned to the station for 6 months, but due to many delays to remain discrete and updates on already installed equipment the mission had lasted 3 years.
" Team Alpha reporting in, all green. Over," Connor took a sip from the cup of water in his hands and pressed the com system on his desk, " Roger that Alpha, tight security , no one comes in unless over grade 9 security, even the regulars. Report anyone else to me,"
" Roger that, Team Alpha is a go, outer perimeter secured. Over and out."
Connor took another sip of his water, he wasn't going to take any chances today, no mess ups, especially not now. The General would be coming up today to check on things, as well as the Captain of Torchwood 1.
" Team Beta reporting in, all green, inner perimeter secured. Over."
"Roger that, I want you to report in everyone that goes in or out. No one is to go out unless grade 9 security or above. Radio in about everyone else."
" Roger that. Team Beta is a go. Over and out."
Connor drained the rest of his cup and set it on his large desk. Pressing a button on his desk he began talking, " Computer, authorization Lieutenant Knight, Connor. Transfer radio to mobile throat unit. Shut down security monitors in room 231."
The computer beeped two times to acknowledge the commands and Connor walked out of his office, the doors locked behind him.
" Knight to team Delta, sitrep."
Team delta was his squad of fighters, they were ex Air Force spec. ops and were using the same fighters used by the rest of the Lunar space station.
" Team Delta mounting up, ETA 5 minuets."
" Roger that, I want a standard patrol route. No one is to even see Torchwood 1. The General and Captain are to arrive in 4 hours, at that time I want a two fighter escort to Torchwood docking ring. "
" Roger that. Will report in when fighters deploy. Over."
" Roger that. Over."
Connor walked into the doors of the Lunar space station ATC room and flashed his military I.D. " I am Lieutenant Knight, Department of Defense special operation division. We have a VIP coming in, my department will be taking over operations. "
The man in charge of the ATC, a civilian stood up from his swivel chair with an angry expression on his face, " You can't just come in like this! Who do you think you are!? I want a proper I.D. and paperwork! Until then-"
A squad of Torchwood men walked in the room, all armed with assault rifles and took up strategic locations throughout the room and blankly stared off into the distance.
The man looked scared for a moment then plowed on, these men were obviously part of his government so they wouldn't hurt him, probably. Connor walked up to the man and layed down his pistol, his military I.D. and paperwork from the Pentagon. " Done, done, and done. There's my ID, " he said, pointing at his pistol with his military I.D. resting on top, " And paperwork," he pointed at the paperwork. The man backed down and sat on his swivel chair.
6 hours later-
Connor scanned his ID at the door leading into Torchwood 1's bridge, the light turned green and the door hissed open. " Welcome to Torchwood 1, sir." Connor said to the two officers just as an alarm went off and red lights began flashing. " DATABASE COMPROMISED, UNKNOWN COMMUNICATION PLAYING-" Connor ran to the operations panel of the bridge and disengaged the alarm, the red lights stopped flashing. " We have a communication coming through sir."
"To...rrrrchwood.... HELP me.... help them.... incursion... tempor... collapse.... E765........... Pha..... soooo.... mmmuch knowledge... infinite.... and forever........ my name.... my name is SSSSYNNDRI..... Listen.... Listen to me..... I am your salvation..."
The General winced, " How many crew members do we have aboard, what are are weapons capabilities and how many fighters are in the hanger?"
Connor pressed a few buttons and the information showed up, " Skeleton crew sir, 90 men. Full weapons capability. No fighters, but i can change that."
The General nodded and thought for a moment, " Get those fighters in, track that signal and get us there."
" Roger that, " Connor tapped a few commands into com that ordered Team Delta to dock into Torchwood 1's hanger and ordered team beta in also. Then Connor got up and walked to the Tactical station, this is the one he was really trained in and he would operate from here. They were going on a mission.

1940
The military consultant, Virgil, wasn't a man to be taken lightly. With a knowledge beyond humanity, he was also somewhat of a mystery. He had been sat in his tiny Torchwood office. Before the war, they had been given a rather large office just a few roads away from Park Lane, now however they were stuck in a tiny building iin the subway. It wasn't a station, but a maintenance building, inside the foundations of London. This had been the base they had been given when the second world war started. However, after Black Corps' invasion, Torchwood of the future arrived. Despite their ability to take Virgil back to his home time, he realised nothing he knew was there any-more.
He decided to help. He quickly took up a military consultant position, due to his experience in the matters, as a result of travelling with Iris. Unlike the famed Doctor, Iris wasn't as opposed to war as he was. In fact, they both seem particularly interested in the art of war, and thus they both studied all over the universe. Of course, they never got involved, not until now anyway.
The office wasn't the future Torchwood's headquarters, but it was a safe, hidden place during the invasion and had turned into Virgil's home. His team had vanished, possibly imprisoned upon the day of invasion. It wasn't clear where Virgil was at the time, but he wasn't with his team. Several gadgets sat on his desk, with him sat in the chair nearby. At this particular moment, Virgil wasn't sure about what to do. He just stood there, waiting for orders. A high tech communication device sat open on the desk. Next to it sat the Huon pistol and then next to that the Webley pistol. The door was locked, however, he could still hear the sounds of the city outside.
The office itself had several exits, one lead up and out into the street, an alley way, to be exact. Right now a delivery truck was parked on top, disguising the entrance. The delivery truck belonged to Torchwood, and had a hatch in the back, giving a way to get out, if necessary. In the back there was a blocked exit which lead into the gas pipes. It was terribly cramped inside and only served as a last resort. The main exit or entrance, lead out into the subway. People would pass it on the subway trains every day, however no one ever realised it was there. All in all, there wasn't a lot of technology in the base, mostly due to it being on the whole deactivated and in storage. Even with the lead coated walls, it was hard to hide large amounts of alien tech.
Having been sat there for a while, Virgil decided to get in contact with Torchwood. Pressing the button on the communication device, he spoke into the mouth piece, almost expecting a reply.
"Hello? Is anyone there, I'm kind of getting bored waiting for orders. Is there anything I can be doing, if there isn't anything of major importance?"

" Running final checks on all systems.... One second, we're all green." the woman sitting at ops tapped a few more commands into the touch screen console which authorized the ship to deploy. " She's all yours, sir," she nodded at the General who took a position in the XO's chair, the Captain, who was running final diagnostics from his own personal console located between the XO and Captain's chairs, was perched uneasily in the commanding chair in the center of the room, the honorary Captain's chair.
" Knight to teams Beta and Delta, sitrep. Over"
" Delta reporting in. We're all secured. Over."
" Beta reporting in. All aboard, airlocks secure, all green. Over."
" Roger that, stand-by for departure."
Connor nodded at the General from his seat next to the Security/Tactical console.
The man manning the communications console slowly turned around, his body facing the General and Captain, but his eyes fixed on the screen, " Sir, we just had someone radio in, the date index is 1940, its coming from the local Torchwood, circa 20-21st century,'s office. The Captain responded, " Play it."
"Hello? Is anyone there, I'm kind of getting bored waiting for orders. Is there anything I can be doing, if there isn't anything of major importance?"
" This is Captain George Johnston of Torchwood, please state your name and rank. Are you aware you're contacting the 24th century? This is a secure military channel, explain how you got onto it. " The Captain put the microphone on mute and without taking his eyes off of the central console he began talking, finding out information, " Do we know how he's contacting us? Where he is? Who he is? If he's a friendly?"
Connor brought up the file from his computer inquiry on the origin of the communication, " Sir, its coming from a Comm signal registered to a Virgil Christian, one of our field consultants. Previously a 1940s Torchwood member, hes in their local HQ, London. Full info is coming up on the main screen."
The Captain took his eyes off his console to look up at the large main screen at the front of the bridge. The helmsman motioned to the Captain, " Sir, we're ready to depart. On your mark sir." The Captain nodded and went on to read the rest of the information on the screen. " Companion to a Time Lady, eh... Love those people. Almost no regard to regulation, interfering with important events. Spontaneous, impulsive. The same with their companions. Lets see what he has to say about himself. While we're waiting helmsman bring us out of dry dock, 1/8 speed."
The Captain tapped a authorization code into his console and initiated the ship wide communication system, " This is the Captain speaking, we are departing from space dock in response to a unknown communication sent to us at 1700 hours. We have just received another communication from a military consultant of ours, we are to go and investigate. All hands, strap up and prepare for departure. Over and out."
The Captain tapped a few more things and spoke into the radio again, " Johnston to ATC, Over."
" 2nd Lieutenant Hames, overseeing ATC here, over."
" Hold all traffic, no one is to be within 500 miles, we're departing. Everyone within 100 miles is to rush here. Everyone else needs to turn around and head back to wherever they came from."
" Roger that. Over and out."
The Captain nodded at the General who seemed to be making sure everyone was doing their jobs but not much else. " Lets see what mr. Virgil Christian has to say for himself."

Stephen just smiled, "Weak. If we were so weak, so useless then you would have won by now. Don't you see. Black Corps won't.... no can't beat us. Unless, your leaders attention is focused elsewhere?"
He was blind, and he knew once on board the Shadows of Intent, he would been interrogated.
1940
Once Grey had given Warren the details, it suddenly dawned on him how this whole Time war had began between the Time Jumpers and Black Corps. 1940. Origins. Warren had adjusted temporally, and well Grey rushed him into the stealth sector were Sharp was modifying a stealth device, as Warren got closer he noticed it was his.
"I believe that is mine," he said with a sigh.
"Er just making adjustments sir, I read your background, you're in charge sir," she replied, she had a north eastern accent. Geordie. She did not taking her eyes off the device. She was intrigued, like a child at christmas, a child who takes apart their presents and then attempts to put them back together. Sharp was exceptional. In a second the device was now longer lasting and capable of cloaking weaponry. She then met his gaze, "Sir...."
Warren was bewildered, "In charge?"
"Oh yes sir. Did Grey not tell you," replied Sharp.
Warren leaned forward, "Tell me what?"
"Ah.... Damn it."
"What?"
"Other Timeline? Er complications. Big Incursion."
"Incursion."
"You were in the maelstrom apparently, your memories should be intact," she continued.
Warren still looked puzzled, "Memories...."
...
Tumbling, falling, as the bird fell into darkness, there was little Warren could do. He had too jump or risk death by time crush. Not pleasant. However, he was pulled in, too strong.... damn. Falling without a parachute. Into the past.
The Hider emerged from his time jump, and quickly began to check his equipment. He had been forced to do an Emergency Temporal Jump after the Temporal Dreadnought he had been on was destroyed.
Warren shook his head, "Sorry, what was that about memories?"
Sharp rolled her eyes, "Nevermind sir."
Grey Short, Weste, and two other Time Jumpers emerged on the steet fully equiped. The body count has risen, the corpse lay scattered. Mostly civilian. But there were time jumpers. They took caution. The enemy was everywhere but Grey needed to know his enemies tactics. But he also was searching for allies amongst london ruins. Weste had configured a radar of sorts. But it was struggling to detect anyone. She sighed. They continued walking, it was awfully quiet. Was it a siege. A full blown assault would have annihilated them. What was his brother plannning. He contemplated it for a second. And then they so something as they turned a corner. A delivery truck. Grey scanned it, and noticed some unusual readings.

Em had gotten the orders almost as soon as the Time Jumper's foot had entered the cell. She hadn't even had time to return his comment. Em could see the small group of Time Jumpers in front of her. Find Grey...and kill him. Those had been the orders. Her fathers orders. True Grey was her uncle, but she had learned to detatch herself. He'd just be another number in her kill record. As they neared a van she checked her cloaking devices. They had picked something up and she didn't want it to be her. Seeing that everything was performing correctly she drew a blade she had picked from a corpse and snuck up behind her uncle uncloaking herself and pressing the thin blade to his throat.
"Hello Uncle," she said quietly in his ear, "How pleasant to see you again. It's a shame father no longer wants you around. You always were more fun than he was."

"You have made your first mistake...." said Grey. Weste delivered a kick into the back of Em's knee and Grey stepped back. "See," he said swiftly. He then continued, "If you try anything else... i'll have you killed. But then i could never do that."
Emily was one part of this this puzzle. Her and Warren. Resurface the memories and well Jame's would be finished. Grey's ability see into the future, had showed things....
dark things.
Cracks in time are widening and something will come through. What?
Grey sighed, Weste and another time jumper grabbed Em's shoulder. "Emily. I have foreseen dark things. I will send you back to James with a message. The fabric of reality is being bled together. He'll know what it means. Send her back." ordered Grey.
"Sir?" asked Weste.
"Do it" he repeated.
Weste used her ability to jump Em aboard the Athena where James was waiting for her.
"Is this a good idea?" asked Weste.
"I can only hope...." Grey's voice trailed.
Weste hated how he kept secrets, important secrets. But then that was Grey. Liked to make life one big surprise.
Somewhere in fragmented Time Vortex
The SYNDRIX had been downloaded into the Space Grids computer and was now guiding the station through time. Which was hard enough as it is, the station was barely holding together. The Razerian attack had crippled it. Yet here she was taking them to safety. She had sent so many distress calls. But they were so distorted. But she didnt know that the messages, were being tampered with. If anyone had recieved her messages. She prayed they'd find them. The Space Grid was designed like a halo with corridors leading to its centre. At the centre was the bridge. On both sides of the station were towers used as barracks. In the statiion itself there was two laboratories, three Armouries, the barracks for guests, barracks for guards, Weapons control. However, the severity of the damage done had left are chunk in one tower, and the hull had gaps here and there. It buckled under the strain as time exploded around it. It shook violently as the station finally came out of the vortex. The year was 2318.
But crack remained open. They were coming.

Emily growled savagely and slammed her fists into the wall making a dent in the wall. Grabbing the shirt front of the nearest Black Corps member she began to scream orders.
"Go to the tech station and have them work on a jump lock," she snarled, "and if I find out you took more than twenty seconds to get there I'll have your head!"
Stomping over to her father she removed her helmet and bowed her head.
"Father I failed," she said a spark of venom in her voice, "they were expecting me I think. I was to cocky. Forgive me."

"And you thought killing my older brother would be easy?" James took of his tinted glasses, folded them and put them in the top pocket of his black coat.
"Grey may have known...." he continued stepping past Em.
"Or he knows something i don't," he said folding his arms. "Speaking if which, time travel is becoming. Dangerous. We need to stabilize time. Or i might lose you daughter. Its happened before. Time Jumpers. Black Corps. Have just dissappeared," said James and then he turned around, "Black Watch. I sent a squad into 1940, Al Khali. Too recover samples of element 765."
He looked at his daughter, "Have you heard of Element 765, Emily."
Black Watch

Recovering samples of Element 765
Gun fire ripped through the creatures, the Black Watch squad where the best of Black Corps. They had been on some crazy missions, but this topped the lot. The squad leader made his way down the corridor followed shortly by the others, they turned left, and forced open a door. The laboratory, was stained with blood. And there were bodies.
"Come to me. My children. Come and Embrace me!"The Black Watch looked at eachother, and then at the infected as they began to rise. More gunfire. The infected were blown apart. But they could still here the growls. They were being hunted. They continued further. Two choices. Down a stairwell. Or left towards the holding cells.
"If you seek the truth. Then come to me!"
Almost instinctively they went down the stairs. They emerged from the vents out if the soldiers, the man to the squad leaders left fell and was eaten. The others fired on the infected as they pushed further towards the voice.
"Was there any wonder why i would make things simple. I want you to find me."
True, it had been easy. The creatures had been holding back and now they all understand why.
I am the Hivemind Oracle. You children, are blind to whats coming.
"Blind," answered the squad leader,
"Yes blinded by hate...." it voice was deep and ancient, and as they got further into chamber, they could see how massive the Hivemind was. It covered the walls, it was one massive thing. It had bulges around it. And skin was orange and thick. Hardened. They were standing looking down to it. The most powerful being in the universe.
But as the cracks widen, the power balance shifts. - Grey Short

Virgil laughed a little, almost in disbelief. He hadn't expected the device to reach into the future. He sat thinking for a moment, wondering how to reply. He looked around a little in thought and then turned back to the device.
"My name is Virgil Christian, sir. I have no rank, but I am that of a military adviser. As for contacting well..." He thought for several moments. Should he really trust them? They were from a Torchwood in the future, capable of receiving communication from the past. He had no idea how much their organisation had changed beyond that of the brief meetings with the Torchwood that had just arrived. He rubbed his unshaven chin and then nodded. He didn't really have a choice. "Well, I'm using technology given to be by a Time Lady. Although I don't think it's Gallifreyan of origin, by the looks of it, it's probably stolen from the old offices of the Shadow Proclamation. It looks all official like that. I should know, I spent a while in their cells." He laughed at the memory but then went back.
He had a few questions, so he was going to ask them. "I don't know if you're aware... But we have quite the problem here. Although I'm confident in my abilities, I'm not sure I can liberate the planet by myself. When is back-up arriving? Also, who's in charge there now? Is it that uhh... What's his name now... Jay... John... JACK, that guy Jack, is he still in charge? If so, I would like you to get in contact with him. I have a problem with my Huon Pistol... If I remember rightly he'll be able to help me fix it." Not that Virgil realised it, but the chances of Jack being able to fix his pistol was slim. The pistol was created with ancient Gallifreyan technology. The tools to fix the gun didn't exist any-more.

2010: the Athena
"Hivemind,"
This statement had slipped from Emily's lips to low for anyone to hear. Looking her father in the eye she contorled her emotions to a blank attentiveness.
"Never heard of it," she said quietly, "should I know? Oh and Uncle Grey gave me a message. He said:*The fabric of reality is being bled together. He said you'd know what he meant.... What does he mean father?"
Emily suppressed an apprehensive shiver. Something big was happening. Things were about to get really crazy and Grey knew what it was....
I am the Hivemind ........ You...... are blind to what's coming....
Blind.....? I'm blind....? Grey I need to talk to Grey....... I'm sorry....... father.......

James looked nervous, "It means.... it means someone.... no" his voice trailed off. "It means something is bleeding through Em. Into our reality. It means the end of all creation," said James darkly.
He approached the console, and began examining the timeline.
"Temporal breaches everywhere. 2318. 2369. 2571. 3021. 1940.... 1990. 2010.2012.2345. 2444.... What have I done? Those are just a few. Time is like glass. Fragile. It’s cracking everywhere. Some small, others growing by the second. What the hell does my brother know? He can see the future. Did he see this?"
A voice over the intercom said, "Captain where receiving a distress single. 2318. Its been sent through cracks. Attempting to compensate sir. The original was heavily distorted. Still is...."
"Just play it!" commanded James.
This.... is ... ONYX.... Grid.... just a couple of hours ago. I... We witnessed the fall of planet Onyx. To an alien race.... I know all to well. They were brutal, ruthless, and unrelenting. The planet's barely.... we escaped.... we were.... g *static* thro... a crack.. we are in. Where are we? 2318. My name is Wa*static* and i have with me two survivors a Razerian and former Commander Belsock..... SYNDRIX? what is it?........................................... Oh my god. No. NO! they followed us. Razier manually control this stations weapons. Don't give me excuses just do it. If these spores hit, then *static* assi*static* Belsock *static* core.....
James looked at Em, "End of creation. Belsock. That name is familar. I swear i made him betray the british space corporation. He was serving in prison on Onyx. I might need him. As for you Em. I have stabilized 1940's crack. But it will not last forever. Get what information you can from Grey then return to me. Dismissed..... and Em. I'm sorry."
2318, OSG (ONYX SPACE GRID), The Space Stations Core
"What are you doing again?" asked Belsock.
"Repairing the SYNDRIX, she's part of this ships core which is, heavily damaged. How long do we have Commander?" said Warren looking up Belsock who was watching the door.
"With that razerian on the guns. 20 minutes. Maybe less."
"I am going to have bypass the com system, it means we will be observing radio silence. But it cuts time off repairs by a hour," replied Corporal Warren fusing together to wires using his temporal ability.
"How long will this take Corporal?"
"An hour."
"So we are fucked," answered Belsock.
"Putting it blunt yes we are." Warren began to merge the core with SYNDRIX that way the ships defence system would slowly repair, and the SYNDRIX could also repair the core. Quicker than Warren. But even then time was not on there side.
Something shook the station.
On the bridge the Razierian Razier was grunting and growling. He had taken out ten manually but more just kept coming. The crack had stopped growing. But the spores like heat seeking missiles continued toward there target.
"After this...." he hissed. "I need a vacation!"

Emily listened nervously to her father as he spoke. She had never seen him so frightened before. Whatever Grey knew would be vital. Nodding at his command she began to walk away. When he said he was sorry she stopped.
"No father," she said softly, "it's not your fault. Time was already cracked. We just happened to help those cracks widen. It's not your fault."
Emily turned around again and pressed the controls on her wrist band sending her to 1940.

Emily stumbled into 1940 a few minutes after she had left. Sighting Grey she ran over to him completely uncloaked.
"Grey," she called, "Uncle Grey! Wait! Uncle Grey!"
catching up with his team she stumbled and caught the back of his shirt.
"Uncle Grey," she panted, "wait. I....need to....I need to talk to you.....what's going on?"
Emily looked up at her uncle, fear and confusion the only emotions visible in her eyes. She needed his help and she'd do anything for it.

Torchwood 1-
The helmsman turned around on his chair to face the Captain and the General, " Sirs, We've just cleared spacedock, 5 minuets and we'll have enough space between us and spacedock to initiate a Time Jump." The Captain and General both nodded, letting the helmsman know that he was heard.
"My name is Virgil Christian, sir. I have no rank, but I am that of a military adviser."
The Captain muted the com system, " Option's people? We need to do something soon, what do we do with this guy?" Connor tapped a few buttons on his console, bringing up even more text to the main screen, " This guy's an expert on warfare it seems, he could be useful on the mission."
The Captain glanced at the General for a brief moment then spoke, " We'll lets pick him up then. " he said, tapping a button on his console to unmute the Console , " Well Mr.Christian, I have your records in my database, I'm looking at them right now. I've just made arrangements to pick you up, we'll discuss anything specific face to face. Any objections?"

"Any objections?" Virgil asked rather amused by the thought. "Of course, not, but hey, as long as you're quick and you don't shove a gun in my face as soon as you arrive, go right ahead."
Virgil then place the communication device on mute, however left it on, as to help the future Torchwood to lock onto his signal. The advisor sat for several moments, wondering why they hadn't answered his question about Jack. Perhaps he was gone, or perhaps he was just too busy to help him. Virgil personally didn't know the man, so he couldn't make any judgement. However, it looked like he would have to put up with the faulty huon pistol for a while to come.
"No good just sitting here." Virgil said, rising to his feet. He grabbed up the jacket, and soon placed it on. He walked over to the cabinet and pulled out the gun belt from the hook. "I guess I'll be leaving soon..." He took one last look around. This had been his home for a long time, and this would possibly be the last time he ever saw it. He knew he would miss it, but he had a job to do.

Grey looked at Em's distress and turned to face her. Weste looked bewildered, "We hould kill her!"

Spores just kept on coming. Razier just began to wonder if there really was any hope. He heard hissing, a vent was kicked off and it dropped down. How had it got aboard. He drew his plasma rifle, and fried it. He watched as E-765 consumed the view screen.
Warren Young, and Belsock continued down the corridor, as the station violently shook from bombardement. He began to wish he had died on Aurha. But then fate always seemed to play with him and yet he never understood why?
He heard muttering ahead. Phage were on board. It was time to repel borders. Belsock raised his rifle as Warre drew his desert eagles and they waited for the phage to turn the corner.

Emily glared warily at the other jumpers. She knew she could trust him, but they might still try to harm her. Standing carefully she edged toward her uncle.
"I don't know what's going on Grey," Emily said, "father didn't tell me anything he only mentioned some sort of element. Um....765 I think..... Uncle Grey is there something wrong with me? I.....I keep hearing things in my head. I'm not crazy....it's just.... I hear something and it sounds like it's something old...something powerful. It calls itself something......it's called.....Hivemind. That's what it said. What's going on Grey? I'm...I'm scared."
This last part was said in a whisper to low for the others to hear. Looking up at Grey she seemed more like the innocent child she had been, albeit terrified and confused. What was happening? Why did she feel so out of place?

'Her mind is in torment. She knows, and yet she refuses to accept it. A Hivemind yes. 765 is far more than a parasite'
Grey felt her fear, "Yes the hivemind is very much real. You have alternate memories. You have seen it. In all its majesty. Now relax what im about to show you is a... possible future. My future."
The acidic air made him feel nauseous. It burnt his throat and his nostrils. To make matters worse he could barely see in the haze. It was incredibly thick. He could make out somethings a tower in the distance. Skyscraper. It looked out of place? this world seemed so alien yet familar. He heard hissing, around him. Phage. Why hadn't they attacked? he thought. Unless he wasn't deemed a threat. Yet. He continued forward, his feet dragged along the grimy concrete. He rested up against a wall. It felt sticky, dirty, alien. The hissing grew louder around him. Finally they knew who he was. He reach for his T-Thompson.....
Grey looked at Em, "Our future cannot be denied. When the parasite comes. We'll be brushed aside."

Warren blasted a phages head, but more kept coming. Belsock pulled him back down the corridor. The hull buckled. Another spore hit them.
'This is the end!' a large Phage Juggernaut appeared. It w3as abotu seven foot tall, has tendrils hands from its arms, claws, and tentacles hanging from its mouth. The creature advanced slowly, the floor buckling under every step. Its skins was dirty brown, hardened. Inpenetrable. Warren swallowed nervously. Then it charged. Belsock pushed Warren aside as he took the brunt of it. His shoulders shattered, he felt himself fall and land. Blood trickling from his cheek. Warren drew his sword. As the Juggernaut turned around and roared.
Razier felt the gun overheat with each fire. The Phage had him cornered. He could feel deaths cold dance. Hit him.

Emily stared at her uncle as if he were a stranger for a moment. When the light of recognization returned it was accompanied by unsurpassed fear as well as a level calm. Instead of breaking down like she sorely wanted to she closed her eyes and took a few refreshing breaths. Looking back at her uncle she asked a question that had entered her mind.
"Where's Warren?"
She had no idea who Warren was just that she would need his help for whatever was to come. Who he was and how she knew him were unimportant. She needed him to stop hivemind.

'That was the truth. Humanity were doomed. The Hivemind sweeps enexorably through space, never stopping. As I think now, i see them dieing. The wave of death sweeps the universe. "Only if we allow it to be," she said, "you know I've never allowed fate to rule me. Why would I start now? We will do what we can to keep it from happening and salvage what we can if it does happen. Fate will not rule us. Earth will be safe again, and everything will be as it should be."
Emily realized with a shudder how in saying that she had thought of her father. She had always fought on his side. Was that really how things should be? Should he really be in control of all of mankind? Was that really what she believed? Perhaps she had, but she wasn't quite sure anymore. looking at her uncle once more she sighed.
"Take me to Warren," she said, "I think we'll both regain our memories faster if we're around eachother.....was I......?"
Emily bit her lip and blushed. She hated the "L" word. It made you weak. Fragile. Incompetent. It messed with our head and drove you made. She would never say it. Never have it. She didn't want to be that close. To be so weak. To be helpless.

The Captain nodded, muting the communication once again. " Helmsman, distance to checkpoint Charlie?"
The helmsman tapped a few buttons, bringing up the forward camera on the main screen, one dot was showing slightly to the right of the center of the screen, " 5,300 meters, sir,"
The Captain nodded, " Knight, get down to the teleportation room, escort our visitor to guest quarters and have him settle in- wait no scratch that. Get down there and escort him to the bridge. Answer any questions that you can that, pretend he has a level 6 security clearance."
Connor nodded, logging out of his bridge console and stepping into the turbolift (elevator), once the turbolift started moving he brought out his comm device, " Johnston, Smith, meet me in the teleportation room. We have a guest coming. Have all secure areas locked down, I don't want any possible security breaches. The subject is a friendly, i repeat a friendly. Don't scare him, Over."

Connor walked over to a console in front of the teleportation pad and tapped a few buttons, then brought his Comm device back out, " Knight to bridge, We're all ready and secure down here. Over."
" Roger that, brace for time jump. " The Captain replied, giving a few brief seconds before the ship jolted into a Time Jump, reaching their destination, just inside the Teleporter's range of teleporting the man to the ship. Connor tapped a few buttons, the machine whirred to life, a man appeared on the Teleportation pad. " Welcome to Torchwood 1," Connor said, standing at attention for the man and giving him a salute.

"Torchwood one." Virgil repeated. He looked around and blinked. "I thought it was destroyed... Battle of Canary Wharf, at least that's what I remember from that text book I remember reading at the University of Mars."
Virgil trailed off. Had he read wrong? Or was this another version of Torchwood. Maybe it was a parallel future. With that in mind, Virgil began to get worried. If this was a parallel future, what was keeping him alive, let alone in existence. "The year, what is the year?" Virgil quickly asked. His question was sharp, and sounded more like a demand than a question.
It was then Virgil responded to the salute. "Saluting to me, why? I have a feeling you have a higher rank than I could ever get." Virgil then stepped off the teleporting pad and looked back at it. "Very... Trekkie, Please tell me you aren't all star trek fans... Wait, I thought teleportation was banned." Virgil's eyes raised. "Wait, that's in the year five billion CE. I'm gonna hazard a guess we're not that far forward, correct? Probably not, you'd need all a teleportation device the size of Hong Kong to grab me from the forties if that was the case." Virgil trailed off remembering his experiences. He blinked and then came back to the room. "So, how can I help?"

"I don't intend to mess with fate," she sighed, "just avoid it. Everything is avoidable. You just have to know how to avoid it. Then you have more time to figure out how to stop it or change it. I fully intend to change it. You'll see."

"Yes, but with -"
"No. Time is cracked, without control. You can land anywhere!" interupted Warren.
"If you travel fast enough it won't happen," answered Sharp.
Grey had emerged in the door way with Emily. He looked at Warren and was impressd.
When Warren heard his name, he looked at saw her, "You. You kidnapped me and my father, you took him aboard the shadows of Intent. You better.... Grey why is she here?" demanded Warren
"You two, have a history together. Its time you discovered it."

Suddenly Emily didn't want to discover that history. Shaking her head she began to back away and turned fleeing down the corridors of the time lab. When she finally stopped running she slid down the wall and sat there crying fearfully. Why did she feel so ashamed to be in his presence now? She had wanted it earlier. She had yearned for it. Why had that changed so suddenly? Emily truely wished she didn't have to do this. That none of what Grey said would ever happen. She wished she was back with her father living in their old house. Living simply as Emily and James short. She wanted to go to those parties she always hated and listen to all those annoying boys who would flirt with her trying to gain her attention. She wanted that back, but she would never get it. Never again.
Emily wiped away the last of her tears and looked around realizing she was now hopelessly lost. Sighing she relaxed against the wall and waited for someone to come looking for her. Hopefully it wouldn't be Warren. She wasn't entirely ready to be alone with him just yet.

"Well that's good news. Not so far in my future to not recognise Star Trek... Unless that programme does last that long..." He laughed a little, but nodded to the Captain, and started to follow him. Virgil then grinned. "Oh I'm sure the USS Enterprise D is a reality in some parallel world... Heck, me and Iris once had trouble with an alien who was kidnapping people and putting them inside a television set, terrible business, I got stuck inside an old Vampire b movie, then again, at least it wasn't inside that atrocity with the sparkling kind..." Virgil shuddered at the thought and looked around.
"Haven't been in a ship like this in a while. Brings back a lot of memories... What's the ship's name?" Virgil looked curious, more like a child, than a man nearly in his fifties. Though having been living in the nineteen-forties, who would blame him? Stuck with technology that was so advanced it needed to be retro-engineered to even work in such a time and would then just cease to work. It was hardly surprising he was excitable over a time-ship. It was rather more spacious than the one he was used to. Iris' ship was smaller on the inside than the outside, and as a result only had one two rooms, it being stuck in the form of a London double-decker bus. It was nevertheless cramped, unlike this.

Warren looked at Grey, but Grey turned away. It didn't take long for Grey to fine Emily, she was cowering, he sighed and knelt down next to her.
"Warren on this timeline is nothing compared to alternate self. Head of Stealth for the time jumpers. An assassin. But then he met you. Something inside him changed. He was still a killer. But his determination to search for redemption was the reason, he wanted to live. Why he cared so much. He had witnessed the fall of the Time Jumpers. His friends had been amongst the dead. He was alone. You and him, are part of this. If you don't put aside your Time Jumper and Black Corps differences then i fear we may as well welcome the end..." Grey then pulled a stopwatch resembling one on the alternate timeline. He opened it. The cracked glass had the date 23rd June 1940. Thats today. Today the cracks open. Today we willl.... i dont know." said Grey swiftly.
Then Grey continued, "Me and Brother weren't always feuding. Time dragged us apart. It manipulated us. It destroyed my family. I dont want to see it destroy creation."

"Uncle why did this all have to happen," she asked leaning against him like she had as a child, "why couldn't things have stayed the way they were before. I miss the times we used to have together. I miss the way father used to look at me. The way he'd praise me when I'd draw something nice. He used to spend time with me then. Now I have to kill for his attention....I hate killing. I always feel so dirty afterwards. Oh....no...now I feel even worse I left Warren's dad on the Shadows of Intent. Crap. Why am I such a bad person Grey? I was never like this. Face it I'm evil."
Emily closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around her uncle. He had always been a comfort when she was a child. If James was in a bad mood, or even if she was, she would go to Grey's house and talk to him about it. He had always been there for her. Almost like a second father....

Grey nodded with understanding, "You are not evil. Emily, no one is born that way. They can be manipulated too kill. Or too hate btu there is always their conscious without it humanity would be extinct. Why things are like this is because the government used me and James. It was enough to drag us apart."
The Mind is wonderful, not matter how hard it tries... it never forgets!
Warren blinked a couple of times, suddenly he saw someone walk in; She was very familar. Josie. She began to talk about thing she had planned. Rewire temporal matrix. Yes that was it. Your memories Hider. Remember your memories!
What memories. I had so many. He left the stealth sector. Why was there an acidic taste. The Time Lab was flooded with a gas. He blinked again, stumbled, as the gas burned his lungs. She was you...
And I was her. We were the same. Em. Emily Short. We both had parents who knew many ways on how to kill. Our paths weren't much different. Yet I have no memory. Try harder!
The Hider. Was that my alias. Hider. Interesting. The Time Lab. Wait who are you?I am Hivemind Requiem. Time Jumper. Torchwood. Black Corps. All Must die!" hissed deep ancient voice.
Hider stumbled and collapsed whispering... "I Remember now. I love.. you Emily."

Emily sighed and snuggled up closer to Grey.
"It shouldn't be this way uncle," she said quietly, "you and father used to get along so well. Maybe it was all just so I wouldn't be worried, but it was better than this. Whoever said ignorance is bliss was right. I want that back uncle. I miss it. All of it."
Emily sighed and stood up. Smiling sadly over her shoulder she shrugged.
"What can we do now but press on," she sighed, "there's no going back. I have to go to Warren. We'll figure something out. I won't let the whole
of humanity be destroyed if I can help it. Or atleast I'll save who I can. I promise."
Emily went back through the halls confident that she was going the right way. Finally reaching the weapons room she walked straight in and grabbed Warren's collar preshing her lips passionately to his.
"Remember me," she asked breathlessly as they separated, "cause I sure as hell remember you."

Grey smiled, and said to himself, "I can only hope that its not too late...."
He watched Em leave, and he returned to the SYNDRIX.
"How's she holding...."
"Not too good."
"Damn"
Then the SYNDRIX died.
Grey stepped back and nervously placed his hand on the T-thompson.
Warren felt someone passionately kiss him, he looked up at Em and smiled, "Someone's looking beautiful today.... but sadly this emotional reunion can wait. The 765 is coming. I'm going to die....."
Warren sensed it. The silencing blow as his future self on board the station Onyx Space Grid gets mauled.
"We need...."
He coughed as a thick acidic fog rose from the ground.
"The Hivemind was right all along....."

There was a crack. It had broke Warrens neck will barely any effort. It turned on belsock. Who fired wildy only to be silenced also. Meanwhile Razier sent the signal one last time, as a second wave hit. He rushed for an escape pod, whilst all around him the 765 siezed control of the station.

Emily frowned and shook her head. She couldn't let him die! They had just been reunited! There was no way she'd let him die.
"No," she said defiantly, "you are not going to die! The Hivemind-"
Here Emily began to cough too and grabbed Warren's sleeve pulling him out of the room hoping to find a place where the fog hadn't reached. Finding that the whole place was covered in it she went to Grey.
"Grey," she called still coughing a bit, "what's happening? We need to get out."

Grey didn't respond. He placed from hand on his Thompson. The bulb above Grey died. The room was dark. White light poured through the cracks and as it fell upon Grey he seemed to explode.
Warren looked at Em, "I think...." the acdidic gas was consuming the Time Lab. A crack in time formed in front of Torchwood 1 and began to pull it in.
(Im sorry this is short, but i need to keep this rp alive.)

When Grey seemed to expolde Em grabbed onto Warren's arm desprate to stay with him and a small scream escaped her mouth. Clinging to Warren she tried to get away from the acidic gas, but it was everywhere.
"Warren," she said, "what...."
Torchwood 1 shuddered violently as it began to be pulled into the crack and Em felt herself begin to fall...
(Its ok I understand mine's kind of short too. Hope you don't mind)

Knight looked at Vergil as the Torchwood 1 as drawn in to the crack. Knight was shouting orders over chaos, but nothing changed, the ship descended in darkness falling... falling.
(Jonas you can post a reaction now, im sorry for my lack of involving you and sorry for you Sool, i never wanted to control to character, but im left with little choice hence why this post is short)

Virgil watched as Knight began to lead, however, due to the panicking nature of his team, he easily lost control. Virgil just quietly watched, and then turned to the controls to see what he could do. He examined the key panel for quite a while. "Earth workmanship, sometimes makes me ashamed to be from here, but I will give it a go. Pilot get out of that seat, I will sort this out."
Knight continued to bark his orders out, until he noticed the helmsman get out of his seat to allow the military advisor to take control.
"After all ths time, Iris' teaching style is never forgotten. Her Tardis was an old thing, older than a type forty, though I have no idea why that was important." Virgil shrugged and tapped at the controls a little. Virgil assumed the ship had temporal stabilizers. "Powering down all none-essential systems, boosting the temporal stabilizers, oh wait, you have a TMS, that'll be handy." Virgil tapped more on the controls, the strength of the temporal stabilizers doubling. The engines began to hum, however it almost sounded as if the ship was attempting to go into reverse. "Come on you worthless piece of-" Virgil bounced in the seat as he hammered the controls and attempted to control the ship. Their decent began to slow and as the power from the engines rose, it got slower.
"Any-more damn power and I'll open a spatio-temporal hyper-link. Which I wouldn't mind doing on a usual day, but as we're already close to a temporal anomaly, it may produce the effect you get when you plug a camera into a TV and aim it at the TV. That could cause time to uh... Collapse inward, and we could have an even worse problem. Though, at the same time, it could force the crack to close and I'd be all for that, but it could possibly mean that this ship would be ripped apart in the process..." As soon as the ship was falling at a considerably slow speed, Virgil having used the temporal stabilizers to create a temporal field, keeping the two points apart. It was sort of relative to the effect when you put two of the same poles together on two magnets. Of course, it wouldn't be long before that would fail, the ship didn't have access to unlimited power, and it wasn't a TARDIS, so it didn't have access to the power of the time vortex. Virgil cursed a little to himself. He'd slowed their decent but their decent was inevitable.
"Any ideas?" He asked the crew.

The view screen crackled, an image became displayed.
"Torchwood 1, can you hear me? damn it dimension gate stay open!"
"As yes, you having a spot of trouble... it seems im too late." the man on the other end sighed.
"I can't save you but I can..." something banged behind him.
"Crap, they bled into my dimension. SYNDRIX.... lets have some music.... anyways before I run for my life, and generally try to escape I warn you the 765 are the most dangerous thing in the universe... an im sorry."
Meanwhile in the TimeLab of this dimension, the crack drew to Warren, and in a flash of light, he two disappeared... leaving just Em. But it concentrated on her, like it was mocking her. Mocking the world.

Emily reached her hands out and seemed to force the tear to take her as well, but it wasn't right. As she emerged on the other side she saw Warren and reached out for him. Her hand passed through. Lifting her hands infront of her face they were translucent. Emily grew desperate. Reaching for Warren again she tried to cling to the present time and force herself into existance.
"Warren! I can't st....I'm not.....I'm scared.....I love you.....don't forg....and.....n't die. I'll wait for you."
Emily had just laid a solid hand on Warren's cheek when the vortex pulled her in again and she seemed to disolve into dust. When she reformed again she was outside. Or it seemed. Everything was gone though. There were no land marks, no plants, no buildings, nothing. Emily stood up from where she had ended on her knees. As she stood she heard a light klinking sound nearby. Looking down she saw a small strip of metal and a few pebbles. Reaching down she lifted the metal piece up and brushed the dirt off of it's face. What she saw made Em let out a strangled sob. The metal read as follows:
S.Y.N.D.R.I.X.

Gunfire tore through air, followed by disgruntled screams of the dying, thw fountain in what had been an ascender city was about to become their grave. One of Elite 765 marched too the fountain, as movement grabbed his attention, he unleashed a barrage if bullets. Satisfied he left. Warren lay under a body, blood dripping onto his parched lips, lifting the body aside, he got too his knees and looked out of the fountain, despite an alien landscape it had essences of familiarity, and some of the buildings gave him a distinct impression that thi was once a civilisation, but all sentient life share one thing. His eyeline was restricted a thick acidic fog clouded him. He briefly wondered about Em, Grey and for some reason a man called Knight.
The ability to destroy there greatest creations
