I have a Golden Retriever Husky mix. She is the gold color of a golden retriever, has the curled tail of a Husky, and her ears dont know if they want to stand or flop. I know that's not a specific breed, but In a lover of Mutts.

If I had to choose a specific breed it would have to be either a Doberman or a German Shepard.

@ mfable: what I meant was that most of the chihuahuas I've observed are aggressively hostile to anyone but their owners. Chihuahua mixes don't lunge out at strangers like the purebreds I've seen though. I had a long friendship with a neighbor's husky even though she looked very fierce.

I know what you meant HoneyHeart, it just made me chuckle is all. I live in New Mexico, the land of Chihuahuas in the US. I know quite a few purebred Chihuahuas that are not aggressive.

Collie and Border Collie. As my mother likes to say, "Collies are the nannies of the dog world." Border Collies are a intelligent breed, and are very good at what they are bred to do. I must say that I prefer the typical rough coat collie over the smooth coat collie.

Shih Tzu's My family has had 2 as we were/are allergic to dogs and they have the funniest personalities.
