Is anyone else having issues typing either in the forum themselves or in messages when quoting someone?

I'll be trying to reply, say for instance, to Namingtoohard--and whenever I try to respond and it's pre-quoted the text (no matter how many quotes are there, whether it's one or two+) I have to hit enter five or six times to be able to space out my words. Otherwise I'm typinglikethis and going back and fixing it later. It's REALLY troublesome. >> Driving me crazy.

My keyboard's fine. I've tried it on an external bluetooth, external mechanical that has a usb plugin, my actual laptop keyboard, and I get the same thing everytime--it makes me hit enter a ton of times to get spaces between my words.

After a quick thought on this-- Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing is what I was using as my editing box. I just switched to... not the basic text box, but the other one. I'm not having issues... So guessing it was with the Enhanced Interface.

This was intentional - the home page was temporarily turned off for a lil maintenance - it's back now! Rep etc. looks fine to me too, anyone still having issues with the stars?

That'd be a Javascript bug. Most browsers have some kinda Javascript console (it's Ctrl-Shift-J in most things, Ctrl-Shift-K in Firefox, and I think IE shoves it somewhere weird that you'll have to Google for 'cause I don't remember it). If you open up the console, refresh, and try quoting someone, it should give some useful diagnostics! Make sure to include what browser you're using, incidentally.

Well I don't need to remove them just yet but once we get up to 5 or 6 the top area of the screen might start to get a bit cluttered. Historically that's the point where I usually do a clean-up.

I have a reputation comment notification that has been there for years and will not go away. I go and click all my rep comments and nothing happens. It simply stays at "Notifications: 1 reputation comment". Kind of annoying.

Try to turn notification on and off, see if it works?

I am not sure I can turn reputation comment notifications off on the website. It's not emailing me or anything. Just at the top of the page. I looked at general settings and I can only edit notifications for PMs and visitor messages.

Edit: OMG It just got fixed because someone gave me rep for this post! THANK YOU OMAC. That reset it.

That's a setting that is chosen by us when posting each announcement, not a glitch. :)

Hey Iain - just to ensure the problem isn't on your end, could you please do the following and let me know if you're still having issues;

- Ensure your browser is updated to the latest version.
- If you're using Internet Explorer, try a different browser ( and thank me later coz IE sucks :P )
- Clear your cache and cookies (let me know if you're not sure how to do this and I'll PM you :) )

Lately I've found the embedded Youtube doesn't seem to work in IE. It seems to work ok on other sites I've used recently but for some reason not this one.

Internet Explorer is the least compatible with the site (and a bunch of other sites.) I'd recommend switching to a different browser, IE sucks.

Yeh I've wanted to switch for a while it's just an inertia thing, mainly the pain to try and re-order the 100+ sites on my favourites list after I import them. But anyway the video problem now seems to have fixed itself.

Hi literally every time I try and view the blog index my whole screen just freezes up and won't move. I believe it is from the post by rabbit. I already tried messaging her but she seems to have gone offline. (I do admittedly have a fairly slow machine but normally it handles the forum without any issue.)

I just had a notification of a rep comment but when I click on the settings page there's nothing there. tried refreshing the browser, reopening the tab etc.. but it still doesn't seem to show up.

Because it was from me for reporting Spam, which has been recycled.
The Rep system works on Posts and if you can't see the post, you can't see the Rep.
However Staff can always tell you what the rep was for :)

There seems to be an current issue with some of the badges not displaying. Something about the photobucket account that stores them not having the authorization for 3rd party hosting.

So every day about 1.30am GMT the forum freezes for several minutes and won't load any pages. seems like it's the exact same time every day and it's been doing it for quite a few weeks now.

Any site that supports https should be fine - if you're unsure, copy the url of the image into a new tab and, if it's a http image, just add the s in manually - if the picture still shows up fine it should be fine here. :)

I'm gonna guess it's being caused by a picture hosted on another site. Just a reminder to anyone reading this, please try not to post pictures that are hosted on sites that might trigger your antivirus. I get you may not mind and allow your device to access the site(I know I've done it) but it does have a potential to cause bigger problems due to it causing RPA to be flagged by Google.

I got the warning when trying to get to the main page coming from another site. I didn't try any other page before whitelisting. And I doubt you guys put images on your front page that aren't hosted via safe sites.
If it's just me though who had this isse, maybe my antivirus is just being overly cautious because why not.

If you get rep but can't see the message, it's because a staffer has repped you on a post you don't have permission to view; usually when you've reported spam. (Which was the case here)

When I tried to log on an hour earlier firefox was blocking the site due to 'invalid security certificate' or something. I don't know if that might be the same to other people. Obviously though as I already know the site & know its not malicious I just told it to create an exception.

My notifications show that I have an unread visitor's message. I can not get the notification to go away. It started when a VM I received was deleted by the sender on 8/23. I am not able to delete the message (it just states it was deleted by sender). Is there any way to solve this problem?
