Best Cliffhanger You Never Got To Write?

This is the page to name all those cliffhangers you had in mind for projects of yours that you never got to write.

For me one of my best was the Easton the Vision Cliffhanger season two finale. Basically the whole main cast were trapped in their high school that has been teleported to the shadow realm. Only their souls were here, their bodies were back in the natural realm. Still, if something happened to them now they wouldn't be able to return. The school broke into two and one of the characters was trapped in the middle, Declan, and then it ripped his soul into two! ;king14; Most of the other characters got pulled into the darkness, but Easton was able to find the exit. He escaped and is about to jump into the girl of his dreams arms when he's pulled back into the darkness. I never got this far in the story, but I had fun planning this part.

So what is a cliffhanger you never got to write? Or even, one you did get to write?

Well I once made it look like my character was dead only to have him wake up in the next post.

I'd have to say For Blood or Money with Jinn, who disappeared from RPA suddenly.

It was a syfy story about an assassin and the special forces officer sent to bring her in. Just when the story hit it's stride and the action was getting good, he was gone.

For me, it's really hard to leave a story hanging. I could finish them off on my own; but, it's just not as much fun as having a writing partner to work with. Plus, it's so much more interesting to NOT know what's coming next in the posts. It's even worse to never what might have happened next to the characters.

For me, it was a RP I did on Visionary Tales. Basically the plot was that anthros ruled the world and humans were subjected to being pets. My character bought her character and they have been going at it from day one because he's lonely and he can do whatever he wants because he's the last living dragon (he was frozen for 700 years and the rest of the dragons died out in an all out war). So then he got her pregnant with triplets and they're preparing for their arrival. His best friend was throwing a party for them and my character went to answer the door and... the RP ended abruptly. I really liked that RP too. I hope to do something like that again or where an alien species almost went extinct from a plague and they're kidnapping humans to repopulate (this was another RP I did that ended suddenly).

I remember a scene I wrote where my two main characters - who were madly in love with each other - were out and about and an attack occurred and one was killed. I wrote it as a dream sequence instead. CHILLING! For the longest time, I couldn't read it start to finish. It was strong stuff.
