Character Guidelines:

The Wizarding World is an incredible place, with endless possibilities and wonderful oddities. With this is mind, we do not want to put too many limitations on you in regards to who you can be in this roleplay.

That being said, we do have a central plot planned out, and we also want to create an rp where everyone gets a chance to impact and be involved in the story. So we do ask that you consider the following when creating your character:

1. Animagus, Metamorphmagus, werewolves, vampires, veela, giants. They all exist in the HP universe, and we won't disallow them completely. However, be reasonable if applying one of these traits to your character - if you give us a first year who is an Animagus giant, you aren't going to be accepted.

1A: Full-blood Veela will not be allowed due to their ability to manipulate peoples' will, and the risk of this being used as a tool for godmodding.

2. Not everyone is a good guy. Hell, if they were, that would get kind of monotonous, wouldn't it?! We will allow 'bad guy' characters, however, if your character is going to impact the major plot, or other peoples' plots in a significant way the GM's will need to discuss it with you first.

3. Some people are just gifted; we get that! We will allow some characters to be more advanced than average, in terms of magic level and capabilities. (see the link above; Magic Rules) However this needs to be kept within reason - not every single student is going to be a prodigy (nor every adult.)

Was in some kind of accident when she was a child. She's been told it was a hit and run, but, has the distinct suspicion this is not the whole story. Put up for adoption, but never adopted. Spent early childhood jumping from foster home to foster home. Each claimed she was too much work. Too many health issues. This has left her convinced she is, and always will be, a burden. Unwanted. She keeps to herself in order to avoid bothering anyone.

I am actually really interested in joining this even though I haven't been too involved with Harry Potter for several years. This seems so well structured though that it's quite tempting...

Would it be a problem for me to not be as recently familiar with source material? I remember the basics, and having that handy list of spells is very helpful. Isn't there a thing about creating custom spells too? Like I recall Severus Snape creating Sectumsempra, the cutting curse thingy

Creating spells would be for someone high level in magic. Really talented. So, your average student wouldn't be able to.

Also, G, I was thinking, Maybe for miss Katrin, I make a secondary character (or someone else can) That can be the one who came to get her/tell her about being a wizard. Like Hagrid did for harry. Someone who would be able to help her around the castle and stuff? I dunno, i'm trying to figure out how to make the para work, cuz I really want it to! And, I think, maybe she'd have an aide assigned to her or something. lol, i'm open to ideas!

Name : Caryxander (Carry-zander) Cary Mordushku

Gender : Male

Pet: Cary has a pet Owl named 'Gritten'. Its feathers are pearl white and speckled in black patterning, whilst its eyes are shrewd and almost black when viewed from a distance. It isn't necessarily an unfriendly bird, but it trusts Cary and Cary alone and usually will not allow others to touch it. This is an old Mordushku practice of bird-keeping that keeps Mordushku secrets safe when travelling by Owl.

Appearance : Cary is a relatively tall and slender young boy for his age, cresting at the delicate height of 5'1 at his tender age of 11. Topped with a cropped and well maintained head of brown hair, Cary is every bit the image of the Mordushku family, not only maintaining the typical brackish Brown hair of the family, but also the startlingly green eyes that have run through the blood of the Mordushku's since the Medieval period. His lips - which remain purplish/bluish most of the time, another Mordushku trait - are tightly pursed at all times, and are crested with a straight, sharp yet not unattractive nose. Below his lips sits a well formed chin that ends his nicely rounded face with a not-too-sharp point.

Cary always wears his Hogwarts uniform smartly.

Personality : Cary is brought up in the Mordushku family, and shares many of their closeted traits, and some others that do not reflect the values of the family. Whilst he - along with the rest of the Mordushku line - are anti-muggle and anti-muggleborn, as many of the old Wizarding houses are, Cary holds a very closeted, yet very venomous view towards those born of the non-Wizarding world. In contrast to this however, he has the utmost respect for others of Pure-blood, and thinks - though he keeps it to himself, like much of his inner musings - that Wizards with close relation to the Muggle world ought to be taught elsewhere, instead of at Grand Wizarding Establishments like Hogwarts.

Beyond this anti-Muggle view - that is rarely physically shown by its holder - Cary is also relatively manipulative, and likes to find himself a circle of people he can trust and confide within through friendship and competition. He is always trying to better himself, a trait that has been largely cultivated by his stern father Agron Mordushku, which has led him to a better understanding of magic than his fellow first years - a trait that has also led to him being called 'The Prodigy of the House', as he popularly duelled and bested a Second Year relative when they came to visit from Albania.

Beyond these traits relative to others, Cary is strong, both in will and strength of mind. If he wishes to accomplish a task, he will set to it and do nothing but strive to accomplish it, using any means necessary - be this to gain power, to gain prestige or for more distasteful means. There is an air of nobility to the young boy, and he protects those he cares about, but if someone can be used as a tool, he holds little qualm in doing so.

Joining his want for strength, Cary spends a lot of his time reading, attempting to always get ahead of his peers, as he knows that if he is stronger than them, then he can place himself at the top of the pecking order.

However, disregarding these personality features, much like most First Years his mind is like a wet chunk of clay, waiting to be moulded by teachers and the experiences Hogwarts is likely to bring.

Virtues/Strengths : Strong Magical Potential for a First Year; Cares for Friends; Can be incredibly manipulative, which plays into his advantage; Of a well known heritage; Intelligent; Attractive.

Flaws/Weaknesses : His utter disdain for muggleborn Wizards; His thirst for strength.

History : Born to the incredibly Old Albanian-English House of Mordushku - a House that can trace its lineage from today back to the Principality of Arbanon - Cary found a fit right away within the family as a quiet baby who reflected all of the physical values of House Mordushku that had remained in their family since its creation in Medieval Albania. He was a praised child, being the first son of the head of the house 'Agron Mordushku', and family came from all across the world to celebrate his birth and the immaculate nature that Cary already represented the House - Brackish Brown Hair and Green Eyes filled with a seeming wisdom beyond his years.

Growing up, Agron was quick to throw Cary into schooling. Once the boy could walk and talk, his father had him reading books on magic and spellcrafting whilst teaching him the basics of wand control, using dummy wands to avoid confrontation with the Ministry of Magic - who House Mordushku had had confrontation with before, after the Ministry had reason to believe the House aided some members of He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named's servants during the First and Second Wizarding War. Very quickly, Cary began to pick up on the teachings of his father, who was impressed at his sons perceived ability, hailing him as the 'Prodigy of the House' and inviting his distant Cousin 'Driton Mordushku' and his son - who was previously considered the 'Prodigy of the House' for his top-mark grades during his first year at Durmstrangs Institute - to duel for the position (though illegal, Driton and Agron watched as the two Wizards used magic underage to fight). Though Driton believed that his son would easily dispatch this non-student 'prodigy', the two were fairly well matched, and Cary ended the duel with a violent double flick of his wand, both turning Driton's son's legs to jelly and making him vomit up a mess of tadpoles, forcing the young Durmstrang Second Year to retire.

Claiming the position of 'Prodigy of the House' - his use of magic being covered up by both Driton and Agron, who stated that they themselves had a duel, as was custom in the family - Cary waited 2 months before his letter of invitation to both Durmstrang (sent due to his Albanian heritage) and Hogwarts arrived. Coming from a Slytherin-Legacy family, Cary chose Hogwarts, excited to don the green that his father and those before his father had, and to mingle with those who shared the same views as he. However, this was not to be.

Upon arriving at Hogwarts, Cary found himself pushed towards Slytherin, like his family before him, by the Sorting Hat, much to his mother and father's silent approval - as they were worried he would be sorted into Ravenclaw for his bookishness. Finding his feet within the Slytherin First Years with ease, Cary shares his parents relief at not being sorted into any of the other house, believing his ambition to be only fitting of the house Salazar Slytherin spawned.

Pet: A Cat named Fritz, after Percival's Grandfather Fritz Eggingsbaum.

Appearance : Percival fits into the typical Nerd stereotype. He has a pair of taped-up glasses sitting upon his nose, a close cropped head of ashy-blonde hair and a pair of fat, bumbling blue eyes that look too small for his face without his glasses, and far too large with them. His nose is chunky and bulbous at its tip, and his lips - whilst keeping them pursed like his new friend Cary - seem to waiver and quiver when he holds them tight, as though the words within his voicebox are fighting their way out of its confinement. He breathes too heavily and almost always has a blocked up nose - a regular trait within the Eggingsbaum family (though the Family are incredibly new and are only just considered Pure-Blood, as Eggingsbaum has two pairs of Wizarding Grandparents) - which leaves him sniffing a lot. His Uniform is almost always a mess, though he is only rarely late for class, when running errands for Cary.

Personality : Percival is, at heart, a kind young boy. His American heritage shows through with a largely boisterous persona that is held reserved around his new friends. Whilst he holds the potential to be loud and zany, Percival is quiet and prefers to linger and watch as his new friends find their place within the schools (and the years) hierarchy, Percival preferring to go wherever his friends go. He all but idolises Cary, believing him to be good looking, a powerful spell-caster and a great friend (though often finds himself confused at the lapdog-to-owner like relationship that they hold), and he enjoys the time that he spends with him, though remains upset about how the Sorting Hat sorted him.

Due to the Eggingsbaum's background as a Muggleborn-family-turned-Pure-Blood by time, Percival holds no aversion to Muggleborn Wizards or Muggles in general, and has a favourable outlook on how resourceful and technologically adept the Nomagic peoples are. He gets along with most, and finds difficulty in understanding Cary's disdain for the Nomag's.

However, like all first years, his personality and thought processes could be expected to change due to his experiences and influences that he gains at Hogwarts.

Virtues/Strengths : Good person; Caring; A good listener; Polite; Easy to talk to

Flaws/Weaknesses : Poor spell-caster; Unattractive; Slightly dim-witted.

History : Being born to a fairly new Pure-Blood house (Percival being in the first generation to be considered Pure-Blood by outsiders), Percival found himself in what could only be described as an utterly warm household when he was growing up. Born to two Ilvermorny graduates, Percival moved with his two parents Benny and Shirley Eggingsbaum to England, as they liked to consider themselves 'slightly bohemian, but not madly so' and therefore liked to keep on the move, if only once.

Settling into English life well, young Percival Eggingsbaum made friends with his many Muggle neighbours, never having any incidents of non-wand magic usage (he highlights this as a telltale sign of his lack of spellcasting potential in his more self-depreciating moments) and otherwise behaving much like a normal young boy - if one were to ignore his in-home life, in which his mother spent much of time caring for her Mandrakes, and his father spent his time brewing potions. All in all, his family were caring and loving, and gave him the support that brought him into his kind persona now.

However, worried that their son was at most a Squib - not due to worry that their son would be a muggle, but more so at the possible emotional backlash that their young son might experience if he discovered he would never be a Wizard - Percival's two parents were incredibly pleased when he received an invitation to Hogwarts, his magical ability having been picked up by the Ministry - though it was seemingly in need of being drawn out by careful tuition and practise. Hurrying him through Diagon Alley and to platform 9 and 3/4s, Percival's two parents waved him off as the train to Hogwarts left the station, leaving him in a cabin with a young boy named Cary - whose father was not present as he left for Hogwarts.

Quickly striking up conversation with the quiet young boy Cary, Percival quickly came to like him - as he quickly came to like most people - and decided that seeing as he only knew Cary, he would follow him around until he couldn't any longer, so as to keep himself from getting lonely in the school. After being sorted into Hufflepuff, Percival waited with abated breath as the Sorting Hat was placed upon Cary's head, but after much deliberation on the Hats part, Cary was placed in Slytherin, leaving Percival disappointed and worried about his future after the seeming loss of his new friend. However, Hufflepuff isn't known to be the most welcoming house for no reason, and Percival has found great comfort within their ranks, whilst still managing to maintain his loose friendship with Cary.

Awesome! I'm stoked for this! I was wondering, is there any chance there might be a revival of the Tri-Wizard tournament during our stays? ;oooo

We have discussed doing a House Tournament (would work better I think, since the majority of our students will be Hogwarts, and it allows more places for Hogwarts characters to participate)

We'll put up a little explanation on how time will progress, but essentially the way I've thought will work best with people creating multiple IC's is

RP will start at Term 1, September 2117 - since there's multiple IC's people can rp during any time frame in the first term. Same thing with the Wizarding World, anytime from September through December and up to the christmas holidays.

As the main plot progresses we'll move to Term 2, after Christmas break, and then people can make IC's for any time period within that term, until we announce we're in term 3.

Make sense? I'm not sure I explained it well XD

But basically how long it takes to move through the terms, will depend on the progression of the main plot. I'd say (this is an estimate and some terms might take more or less time) maybe a month per term?

You can also make older student characters, like that are already in 3rd year etc.

@ Korzan- regarding Cary- I really have to sort him into Slytherin, and here's why-

1. Disdain for muggleborns, muggles, and muggle lovers. This is a HUGE portion of the population, and... honestly, Hufflepuffs are traditionally friendly folks who accept most everyone, unless they themselves have had a problem with someone.

2. Prominent traits of a Slytherin are- resourcefulness, cunning, and ambition. All of which Cary possesses as primary traits, such that his ambition is a weakness/ flaw.

To me, those just don't seem like a good Hufflepuff-ish combination. What are your thoughts G? I like the bio itself, and approve it, I just don't agree with the house you chose... :/

As for Percival- No qualms whatsoever, fully accepted!

@ Katrin- now that G explained to me exactly what it was, I approve. I don't believe Patronus's specifically have to be that of an animal, and if so? Eh, I'm willing to let that slide :)

I get what you're saying about the choice of House. DK, do you wanna explain your reasoning for his house placement a bit more?

I think a patronus is what that person sees as protection. Or is something incredibly important to the person. For example, Harry's is a stag. It's his father.

For Katrin, she's got nothing. No one to protect her. Her escape has always been the crazy shows on TV. Especially a madman in a blue box. She's always prayed that one day, he'd come take her away. She's grown up watching him fight injustice and protect those who can't. It's shaped her.

So, in actuality, her patronus isn't the TARDIS itself. It's the doctor. But, the TARDIS is what represents him. If you remember the.... 50th episode I think, when Bad Wolf says something like "listen, that wheezing groaning sound, brings hope. No matter how lost." And that's what she needs most of all.

I also think that as she gets older and has more control of it, and learns to send messages via the patronus, like we saw in the seventh book, it won't be the TARDIS itself, but the war doctor sticking his head out and giving the message. But, that can be changed if need be. Lol.

Also, I'm not sure what house she's in. I just stuck her in Slytherin because that's my house. So, if anyone has a suggestion, then I'll take it. :)

I would personally think she'd be a better fit for Raven claw, quiet and bookish, but I can see her being in slytherin coz of the isolation and only really trusting herself.

In her first year, Winston had been a kitten of indistinct heritage she’d rescued from a Muggle shelter and for a while she thought he was a normal cat – but only because his breed is slow to grow into their full size. Specialties: Legilimens – natural born; has learned to control it but every now and then something, a strong thought or feeling, will slip through. She is also especially talented in charms and transfiguration and an affinity for magical creatures.

History: Astryd was born to the Kenmare Kestrels’ star Chaser, Cace Elkridge, and a muggle, Margie Hayworth, who he met in a pub after a winning match. She had a mixed upbringing – her mother wanted her to learn about the muggle world and her father had her on a broom almost as soon as she could walk. She was very interested about learning about both of her parent’s worlds, but the magic that ran in her father’s blood was strong. Incidents of accidental wandless magic as a child were aplenty, winding up with her parents explaining away (or her father Obliviating) the incidents to other parents, teachers, principals and a handful of classmates. It was almost a breath of relief for her parent’s when her Hogwarts letter came.
Her father was a Hufflepuff before her and a star quidditch player for the house team, and with Astryd being so much like her father, so it came as no surprise that she found her way into Hufflepuff as well. In her first year she was a reserve for the house quidditch team, but in her second she was starting and got to show her prowess for the sport. Now, she is the Hufflepuff quidditch team's star chaser.

I have no qualms about him being resorted, I'll change his bio around a bit but it makes no difference to the overall character. I mainly thought Hufflepuff would be interesting becauseeee =

Hufflepuff is the most inclusive among the four houses; valuing

Hard work: Cary has always put as much work into his endeavors as he possibly can. He wants to become the strongest Wizard he knows; perhaps the strongest Wizard to ever grace his family's line. When he wants to learn, he studies hard; when he wants to fight, he fights hard. The same goes into his work - Cary is the epitome of a hard worker.

Dedication: Along with working hard, Cary is dedicated to his pursuit of strength, leading him to reach a year 2's level of expertise before becoming a First Year. His constant training by his father has only fuelled his inner thirst for more.

Patience: Cary is patient in his search for power. Whilst he works hard and is incredibly dedicated, he knows that there are some spells that he won't be able to learn until he grows older and more experienced. Whilst he can bolster this with training, he knows when some things are simply out of reach.

Loyalty: He is unquestionably loyal to those he cares about.

Fair play: This is maybe the only thing he does not align with. He plays to win, whether fair or not.


But again, totally fine with changing to Slytherin xD

See, I keep thinking Draco Malfoy and his crew when I look at hard work, dedication and loyalty. Not necessarily dedication and hard-work for Crabbe and Goyle, but certainly Malfoy. He was a pureblood, and he had to work hard. He was dedicated to the cause under the right pressure, and his companions were fiercely loyal to him. Loyalty is a Hufflepuff trait indeed, but not solely a Hufflepuff trait. Given his disdain for so many people and his pure ambition, I could easily see the sorting hat placing him in Slytherin.

Also, remember Bellatrix Lestrange. Fiercely loyal to Voldemort.

I think the main thing for those traits is they're mostly about himself - sure they might come in to play if there's something he wants for someone he's loyal to and he'd turn those trains to work for their goals as well, but that's the key to the Slytherin aspect - he'd probably be more into what he wants for that person than the person even is.

A prioroty list would kind of go like this:
What Cary wants
What Cary wants for others
What others want for Cary
What others want for themselves

Does that make sense?

Where as a Hufflepuff would probably be (using Astryd):

That's a fair point. I've changed him to Slytherin already and altered his and Percival's backstory accordingly, but it's good to get some other opinions on those traits and I can definitely agree with them! :)

Yea I saw that I just thought it might bring to light what we were seeing verses what you may have meant! It's a blurry line what makes a person slytherin and too many take it as an insult. My mom's Slytherin and she doesn't even know it, and I love her to death (I'm also a Hufflepuff, too, soooo...)

Most students will describe her as soft spoken. This directly seems to contradict her passion for defense against the dark arts. Though, anyone who's participated in dueling club will tell you it's a mistake to limit her to this one attribute. She is incredibly fierce when needed. Not afraid to stand up for herself, or anyone who needs it. Her teaching style is best described as hands on. Learn by experience. Often letting students learn mistakes the hard way. Though, she will be proud to tell you none have ever suffered fatal or truly serious injuries.
Strong, coragious. Fast thinker. She'll stand up to anyone. Fearless.
Fearless. She doesn't always know when to back down. Stubborn.
She grew up with her muggle mother. Who had no idea that her husband had been a Wizard. He was killed long before he could tell. Hael never knew him. Still, she grew up in a loving home. Her mother never remarried. The day the letter came for her had been quite a shock. Still, she was eager to go to the school. To learn everything she could about her father.

Appearance: Lunafreya is a moderately pale female. With generally ebony hair, tints of navy blue could be sporadically be seen when any type of light shines upon it, as for the length of her hair it is almost as long as an Asian Rapunzel (cue drum here for bad pun). Her hair goes just after her behind, so she rarely has her hair down. She keeps the majority of her hair tied in a ponytail with ornaments from her home inserted as well. She is not a giant nor is she a troll. She is of decent height which 5'3. Personality : Lunafreya is a gentle, and kind girl, yet she is quite a mysterious one. She is polite and well-mannered. She is not the one to normally talk to people, for she prefers talking to nature and creatures. Due to her preferring not to talk to humans, when she does have to be in a social context with a human being she is shy, and timid. When she is upset; however, one does not want to be near her. She has an explosive anger problem. It is rare to see Lunaria upset. She is somewhat like an onion where the person would have to peel back one layer at a time before Luna finally trusts the person and begins to talk to him/her.

Virtues/Strengths: One of her virtues is to spread love and kindness despite the fact knowing not all beings will respond back with the response she desires. Intelligent, has wisdom beyond her years, cares for all living creatures and things whether it be grass or salamanders, understands many languages such as the Merpeople language, or how to converse with owls. Very knowledgeable in the subjects of Caring for Magical Creatures, and living things, musically gifted, a very strong potential for a witch her age.

Flaws/Weaknesses: Cares too much about the safety of all things that she tends to over exert herself time to time, does not speak to humans or any similar being, distant

History: Being abandoned by her own birth parents when she was just a wee baby was just the start of Lunafreya's misfortune events. She was placed into one of the most decrepit orphanages, and in that orphanage was mistreated severely. As time passed by, Lunafreya did not bother to converse with the other children in this orphanage and instead pass her time by walking to a local library and reading about magic, so that one day she too can become a witch. When the library closes Lunafreya did everything in her power not to go back inside the orphanage, so she has found a local shop that sells instruments to pass away her troubles. An old man that was the owner happily allowed Lunaria to stay and play as he enjoyed listening to her. Whenever this old man was feeling a bit under the weather, or any negative things Lunaria would play music and it will uplift this man into very high spirits. This old man was somewhat of a grandfather figure to her; however, one day the old man of the shop never showed. Lunaria would continue to go to the shop everyday after her library reading routine, but the same scenario happened. The shop was dark and closed. It was not until the following blast of warmer weather season that she was notified by one of the relatives of the old man that he had passed on. Lunaria felt as if her heart was torn in two, for this old man was the only human being she had enjoyed interacting with, and to her surprise this old man enjoyed her presence so much as he wrote in his will to give her all the instruments that was being sold in the shop.

As time passed by, more and more children of her orphanage home was being adopted. This made Lunafreya feel happy yet depressed at the same time. Happy due to the fact that there would be less kids bullying her around, and depressed due to the fact that the thought of Why am I not good enough for being adopted? occurred. It was not until a rainy day, that a man dressed in all white and red knocked on the door asking to see the available children that are up for adoption. As one by one each child was lined up, the man was walking by each one and judging inside his head. This man was not white-skinned like the orphanage mother, rather he was similar to her skin tone.

"I choose her." He pointed to Luna.

Luna blinked as she did not believe what she was hearing. The orphanage mother gave an uncertain smile, "Sir, we have far more choices..."

The man held his hand up to silence the woman, "No. Master will love her." The man then lowered himself so he can be the height of the girl, "Hey there little one. I am going to take you to your father. He is living in Mahoutokoro palace." Luna just nodded, not knowing what to say.

The orphanage mother just sighed and gave pieces of paper to the man, and as quickly as she gave the papers the man returned it with that same speed. "All done right?" the man asked. The orphanage mother just nodded in silence and went inside the corridors. The man turned his attention towards the little girl, "My name is Lui. I serve the family that resides in Mahoutokoro palace." He gently took her hand and began to walk out of the orphanage. Never did Luna ever expect, for her luck to be turned the polar opposite.

As she was adopted into the family that resided in the Mahoutokoro palace, she soon was properly educated by her father. Her father made her read books about magic, made her read books about the history of Mahoutokoro, and so on. Her father knew that as soon as Lunaria was old enough he was going to admit her to the school of Mahoutokoro. The school is located at the topmost point of Minami Iwo Jima, a volcanic island in the southern topical region of Japan. Described as an ornate and exquisite building , it resembles a pagoda or a shiro made of Nephrite, or "mutton-fat jade", a translucent white stone. Both island and palace are thought to be uninhabited by Muggles. He will not have a child of Mahoutokoro not attend the most prestigious wizardry school.
And what would be even better than attending one of the most prestigious wizardry school? Having a prestigious creature as a pet, the Griffin. He would only have the best for his only child. Her father indeed had many other child, but these children lived away from him and he wished to have a child that lived with him.

It was reported to him that there was an incident in school, on Luna when she was splashed by water she would no longer be able to walk, and soon her legs would vanish and be replaced by a beautiful tail instead. Her father would remain silent for he trusted Lui, and his decisions. He knew that Lui has chosen an unique child for him.

- Mer-people are already quite clearly defined in the Harry Potter universe, they are not human and it's not a transformation that can occur, they're a separate species. So it just doesn't work for her to be a mer-hybrid.

- If you read the other accepted characters, we already have two orphans... it's not very likely that there would be three orphans in such a small school, however if the other things on the sheet are fixed I suppose I could accept that.

- You state she is attending a prestigious Japanese school of magic.... this roleplay is based around Hogwarts school, in the UK.

- In her skills, you've listed being able to commune with owls, as well as merfolk. Merfolk, as stated above, are very clearly defined in terms of what they are in the Harry Potter universe; anyone can understand them if they are underwater. Being able to speak bird-language, especially as an 11 year old, is also just not realistic. Who taught it to her? Why? How did they know it?

- Is her name Lunaria, or Lunafreya? It'll be pretty confusing if you're switching between two different names, I'd prefer if you just stuck to one.

Well, I agree she wouldn't be exposed to it if she grew up in a wizard family. But, is it a thing? It could be. Patronuses don't have to be animals. They are simply what makes a person feel safe, or is important to them. Katrin's is a blue police box from Doctor who. As for if it'll be around.... Well, even if it's not like a big thing any more, it'd still bee available even if it's obscure. Katrin is a fan of all the "old" TV sci Fi shows. (Doctor who, supernatural, star wars, so on.)

However I don't mind Katrin's, I think it works that the place she'd found solace throughout her difficult childhood would be embodied as her protector - aside from which, casting a Patronus is advanced magic and not something most students would master till about their fifth year.

I suppose the Auto-Restore did not fully restore everything in the bio I have posted. My apologies I will fix it right away. I written in the history of Luna saying that even though she did attend the School of Magic in Japan she soon was transferred over to Hogwarts.

Appearance: Dawn has a face full of freckles framed by shoulder length, wavy, brown hair. Her skin is lightly tanned from working in the sun. She has 1 bright marble gray eye and 1 milky white eye. Lichtenberg Scarring takes up most of the left half of her face, running down under part of her chin, down her neck, past her shoulders nearly reaching her hips and curving slightly around her back.
Personality : Dawn a very easy going and very approachable character. She's couldn't care less what others thought of her but tries to be aware of other's comforts and discomfort (specifically knowing that her scaring can put people off). She's full of positive energy, especially around people she considered friends. She's a willing learner and a hard worker in any subject but easily gets lost in lessons or work when it comes to creatures.

Virtues/Strengths: Patient, Easy going, Full of positive energy, Hard working, Magical/Non-magical creatures/beasts,
Flaws/Weaknesses: She'll stand up for others but not herself, not the strongest spell caster, slightly clumsy, She tends to get lost in her tasks specially if its anything to do with animals, She's not always afraid when she should be.

History: Dawn was once an orphan to a small Country side Orphanage and while it was apparent that she was different and strange, Strange things didn't really start accruing until after the accident. Dawn loved the outdoors, specifically when it rained and smelled of earth. During one such rain storm she and the other children went to play in the rain and mud when the lightning started. They ran back to the house but Dawn lagged behind, not quite as afraid as the adults and the other children. This happened to be a bad idea, a dash of lightning struck the ground near the girl. Leaving her temporarily blinded and in incredible pain on the left side of her face. By the time the adults were able to bring her to safety Lichtenberg Scarring was visible.

Strange things started to accrue shortly after this as she was bed ridden for sometime, the reception by the other kids was mixed. younger children seemed to enjoy it when she got things to float, and older children found it scary. The adults weren't sure what to call it and had done much in their power to find a 'cure' calling Pasters and pops and the like.. Nothing worked of coarse and the adults were becoming more and more afraid and isolating her more and more. Despite this Dawn never let herself lose her positive energy or smile.

Eventually these strange things reached the ears of the Scamander family, An older couple who couldn't have children of their own but had done much in the way of giving Orphaned witches and wizards a home where they could nurture their magical talents as well as learn hard work. The couple used the same story they always did, they were professionals that could help a child like this. And so they took Dawn away to their little farm. Dawn instantly fell in love with the quaint little place on the outside that house horses, cows, pigs, chicken, ducks. She learned to care and work with each and every one. And when the couple felt she was ready they introduced her to the hidden side of their farm. A hidden away farm, the entrance hidden in one of their many sheds, full of magical creatures. Dawn fell even more in love, if that was at all possible.

Once she herself was old enough she was given an invitation to go it the magical school of Ilvamorny where she attend her first two years. She loved the school and knew it well, even learning that she was not the best with spells, though she did have some luck with charms and transfiguration. She could defend herself well but attacking was another matter she could never quite put her heart into it even if it was only a mock battle. She fawned over the magical creatures there, thoroughly enjoying her time there. Her plan had always been to take over her adoptive parents farm and run it as they had.

Unfortunately due some circumstances that her father could not tell them, Ministry of magic business, They were forced to move to the English branch so he would be closer to whatever work they were having him do. The only non magical animal they were able to bring was a little duck that Dawn had raised from an egg. She was sad to say good bye to Ilvamorny but knowing that she would be going to hogwarts, the very school she was Equally as excited. She promised to keep in contact with some of her friends by letter, mostly.

We don't have any children animagus (Hael is a teacher) - it's complicated magic that a child would not be able to achieve. A werewolf character might be permissable, although if you're thinking of making a student werewolf, it would need to be a situation that was managed, like Lupin with his monthly potion. A were-child running around willy nilly biting everyone every full moon would be pretty disruptive to everyone else's plots.


edit: And we don't have many Gryffindor - Hufflepuff and Slytherin have been the most popular choices, could definitely use some more Gryffindors' and Ravenclaws. :)

Personality : Fira, true to her name is a hot-blooded, fiery tempered girl. She seems like a pretty angry girl and she is but she's working on coming to terms with her own inner wrath. Her short fuse is quite ridicules and often lands her in a lot of trouble. She's rough and hot around the edge, She seems like the type that would be hard to get along with but once you get past her hard exterior, You'll find a loyal, perhaps Brash friend who wont hesitate to fight or put herself in harms way for her friends. Forget magic she'd rather take you on in a regular old brawl, its not her strong suit anyways. She's not the smartest but she's not entirely made for brawns either. Though the quickest way to earn her respect is to beat her in a fist fight.
Virtues/Strengths: She's extreamly loyal to her friends, She's not afraid to get dirty, She not afraid to put herself in harms way for someone else's safty, She's pretty strong for a 12 year old.
Flaws/Weaknesses: Short fuse, Brash, Magic is not her strong suit even dueling, She's not on good terms with her wand right now, she's got quite the loathing for Slytherin, She's not a morning person, Also animals don't seem to like her...

History: Fira was raised by both her loving witch mother and her loving muggle father, both of whom took great pride in their growing daughter. Her mother who had been a werewolf before her, often the outcast had found great love in her muggle father who fell in love as soon as he found a women who could bet him in an arm wrestling match, Being in the military he both spoiled his child and made sure that she was strong enough to defend herself. Her mother was of a much more graceful attitude but Fira could never seem to pick it up.

Fira was always the type who liked going out with her father, and getting dirty. Though Grace (her mother) always seemed to be a little annoyed when they came home covered in mud she didn't complain to much at their bond. Her mother taught her many things about magic, as well as home keeping whenever she was spared from her fathers attention. Fira learned hard work and how to keep things picked up and clean, even if she's not completely organized she's not a slob.

When she turned 11 her mother was excited that she received a letter to Hogwarts, and though her father was proud he was already missing her as she packed. Before she even got to the school she was making trouble by getting into fights with pompous pure bloods. on the train she managed to bloody a nose in the deafens of a muggleborn kid. She was lectured on this and of coarse a letter sent home to address her mother and father. Of coarse she argued back, though it didn't get her anywhere other then more trouble.

She didn't make friends easy with her rough attitude and brash ways. She was seen by the nurses at least every other day, but more so for a forced apology to the other kids then needing treatment herself. Though her father had taught her much about discipline and following rules and she followed most of them pretty well, Her temper always got the better of her when it came to people looking down their noses at her and the rest, particularly Slytherin scum bags. It made her a pretty big outcast, she was known to get into fights and cause trouble, often getting points deducted from her house.

Half way through the year she had had enough one day and left the school, despite having been warned she made it to the only place she knew would be privately her's and away from prying ears. Running was a specialty of hers, as was any physical activity. It didn't take her long to get herself lost with in the woods where she could nosily take her frustration out on the forest around her.

By the time they had found her she'd been through all sorts of trouble, most notably a werewolf attack. It was due to this accident that she missed the last half of the school year which not only frustrated her more but the event scared her. A lot of time and effort was put into working with her new condition and rehabilitating her, mostly by her parents. She learned what was required to keep her new side at bay, It was common knowledge at the ministry by now that she and her mother were both werewolves which didn't seem to help matters as much as they should have.

Her frustration grew but she tried very hard to keep from being as brash as she had before. She made a promise that now she was bound to the magic world she'd do her best to get through the next year with a much better plan. She's done some self study on the other world to find a nitch for her to slip into, something useful she can do, something she could put all her furious energy into, She aims to try being a Beater this year for the Gryffindor house. Before she left this year her father gave her her own Dog tags as a good luck charm.

Aaron was born in a magical family. His parents had a job with various magical items. His mother worked as a librarian in Diagon Alley where she often sold and rented out books to others. High times being when the school year started where she would help new comers gather their needed books for the year. Aaron's father, worked with The Daily Prophet where he would assist in writing up stories to be read in the paper. When he wasn't assisting with the stories he was often working on getting them delivered to their locations.

His upcoming years were often spent with both parents, but more closely his mother as he found a fascination with books, from the point he learned to read from his mother, he quickly dove head first into reading various books. All the way from children's books and soon enough as his mind widened he moved into larger books. His favorite book was Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them by Newt Scamander. He loved reading of dragons and other creatures.

As the years went by, he waited for his 11th birthday where he could be brought into the wonderful world of wizardry himself. When he turned 11, he gained the letter from Hogwarts to become a student. While he was thrilled to be in the school, his first year went to a bust as he was expelled half way through after being found in the Restricted section, not once but twice. He was found reading the various books not meant for the regular student to see.

When the next School Year began, Aaron was given permission to rejoin the students as a new year student. Given the condition he stays away from the restricted section and never steps foot in there again. While he listened, he found various ways to sneak a peak at different books even while learning his own spell where he could read a book much quicker. This giving him access to skim through and learn more at a quicker pace.

Finishing his first year at top of the his class, he scored the highest grades on the written exam and only just made it with the magic exams. Yet in his second year, he has vowed to become greater at the use of spells.

Appearance: Meaghan stands a trifle tall at 5'9" with a light peach complexion and short, very light brown hair kept in a tidy coif atop her slender noggin. She is slender of build, small of bust, with a rather hawkish nose but an off-putting kind smile to a face that, if not for the smile, would look rather permanently upset. Her stern features are quite incongruous to her personality though, as Meaghan lives by the Ravenclaw motto "Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure." Her eyes are an iridescent light blue with a conspiratorial twinkle.

Personality : Meaghan understands that learning needs to be a fun experience as well as a knowledgeable one. Being one of the youngest professors at Hogwarts, she is in a unique position to connect with the students while still being a prime authority figure in their development. She also realizes that teaching is in itself a learning experience, where she knows it would be rather Slytherin-ly arrogant of her to assume that she can know all the answers to everything. Unfortunately for her, she does have a long-standing rivalry with Slytherin purely from a competitive standpoint. She attends every Quidditch match she can, sporting copious amounts of blue and purple, to cheer on her own house against the green and silver (and the other houses as well, but none more vigorously does she cheer against than Slytherin).

Virtues/Strengths: Wisdom, Counsel/understanding, Industrious, Patient, penchant for wordless spellcasting and occlumency (preferring to not give away as much of her strategy away to a potential opponent verbally as much as possible).

Flaws/Weaknesses: Too patient and overly strategic. If she devises a plan and it fails, she can struggle to improvise. Too willing to see the good in people, easily drawn in by elaborate, drawn out deception (like a student planning something malicious long-term) rather than whether little Johnny just lied about not chewing on a chocolate frog during class when he wasn't supposed to be. The older the student, the harder time she has getting through to them if they have a bad attitude (she blames her young age for this).

History: From the instant Meaghan got her letter, she was ready to be out of the Muggle world. She loved her average parents, but she just knew she didn't quite fit in with the Muggles and their way of life on a day-to-day basis. The second she had gotten to Diagon Alley, owls took an instant liking to her, although she didn't know why and didn't really reciprocate their affection. Later she realized, as she arrived at Hogwarts, that Ravenclaw was destined to be her house. A fact she proved to the Sorting Hat with logical explanations for why she should go into Ravenclaw. The Hat chuckled at the eleven-year-old's ability to combine logic and humor so flawlessly, putting the witty young one in her preferred house. Not to mention that purple was and still is her favorite color by far.

From the instant she met her kindly head of house and two amazing, studious prefects, Meaghan knew she loved Ravenclaw house and wanted to give back to not just her Housemates, but also the school as a whole. She did that by getting good grades, participating in the school newspaper, initially wanting to work for the Daily Prophet, and then wanting to be an Auror. When it came down to it, though, post-puberty, she realized that she was better with defending rather than attacking, and preferred the quill to magical duels, so she chose to take four NEWTs rather than the minimum five required to be an Auror. She ended up not taking Transfiguration as a fifth NEWT due to the professor at the time having a restriction of an EE grade or higher on her students' Transfiguration OWL exams. Meaghan had only gotten an A in that subject, so out the window went her the only subject she wanted a fifth NEWT in.

A few years after she graduated from Hogwarts, she decided to try applying for the Daily Prophet. They at DP decided they preferred someone whose writing was not quite so full of witticisms and flowery language. She ended up volunteering as a tutor to students who had failed out of Hogwarts, choosing to see the good in them. Eventually, Hogwarts noticed her efforts at reforming students, and - when she finally decided to apply for a professorship in either of her two favorite subjects, Muggle Studies and DADA, she was offered her choice of either the potions or Muggle Studies positions. While Meaghan had a knack for potions, receiving high marks on both her OWL and NEWT for the subject, she wanted to teach something that had a more profound impact on a wider variety of students' minds, thereby she chose Muggle Studies as her class, and immediately sought after the open Ravenclaw Head-of-House position like a bird seeking her nest.

Magic Level : 8 in all respects aside from her unusual proficiency in occlumency (and her ability to teach the skill to others). Debatable about whether she's a 9 due to her penchant for wordless spellcasting, but I didn't say she had a 100% spellcasting success rate with said wordless spellcasting.

Wand: Her wand is 9 3/4 inches, made of alder wood, with a dragon heartstring core.

*: Her Muggle Studies professor at the time gave her an EE instead of an O purely out of bias. Professor and Meaghan disagreed on some key controversial issues regarding how wizards should approach or back away from ever-evolving Muggle technology. Meaghan was for embracing Muggle technology in conjunction with wizardry, while her pureblood professor took a more traditionalist wizardly view on the subject, viewing Muggles as inferior in every way no matter what.

Appearance: Katerina, or Katie as she prefers to be called, is very pale of complexion. Her stature is so tiny with such a hunched posture that she constantly looks, and feels, like she wants to go invisible. She has piercing emerald green eyes framed with pretty long black lashes and long, tousled black hair that she doesn't bother to cut. She is tiny, and her family has a history of being short-statured and non-athletic, so sports are one of the furthest things from her mind as it's usually one more opportunity for her to be teased.

Personality : She doesn't think she's very good at being a Slytherin. She wishes she had gotten any other House. Her fellow Housemates tease her constantly for being such a shut-in bookworm. She doesn't even read academically, she just reads fantasy novels (both magical and Muggle) as well as comic books for fun. She prefers the company of animals, namely hippogriffs, horses, etc. to people, because the vast majority of people tease her for her height, for being socially awkward, for any number of things really. As a result, her favorite classes have become CoMC and Herbology, and she's taken to hiding out with Moaning Myrtle while reading a good book. The ghost sometimes offers Katie advice on how to deal with bullies, although the advice is often far too gory for Katie's liking. Katie is resolved at attempting be a "nice" Slytherin who is nice to all people, proving the Sorting Hat wrong. She often wonders what kind of ambition or greed or intelligence the Sorting Hat saw in her to put her in what she considers to be a wretched House.

Virtues/Strengths: Emotional endurance, a strong moral compass, compassion for animals, decently intelligent.

Flaws/Weaknesses: Physically weak, frail (prone to asthma and has to use a specially pre-approved spell to clear her airways), quite lazy when it comes to studying versus reading for personal pleasure (she's a last minuter), and is depressed due to being socially awkward with very few friends so far.

History: Her parents were both wizards, her mother a Hufflepuff and her father a Ravenclaw. Her mother was a stay-at-home mom, taking care of her and her six other sisters (all older and all graduated from Hogwarts). Her six sisters, all born a year apart, all work in the wizarding fashion or arithmantic industries. Despite her mother's protests to the contrary, Katie worries that she was just "the accident child" never meant to happen, as her mother was thirty-nine when Katie was conceived, and forty when Katie entered the world. Her father never admitted to it, but Katie thought he seemed disappointed or even bitter at never bearing a son.

With that cheery background in mind, Katie was both excited for and dreading (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGSB98RskJM) her letter from Hogwarts when it arrived. She wanted to be a Gryffindor, show her dad that she had courage and could be as tough as a son might be for him. She wasn't cut out for being a tomboy, but she would have tried for him. Katie is nothing if not loyal to people she loves. To her, she still cares about her family, even if as the youngest child, she is quite low on the totem pole of her parents' affection especially due to her slacker tendencies in the world of academia.

As she enters Hogwarts, her favorite hangouts to get away from her depressingly dark, dank, dungeon dormitory, are the library, Moaning Myrtle's bathroom, and the Care of Magical Creatures areas.

Wand: Her wand is a short 7 1/2 inches in length, made of hazel wood, with a unicorn hair core.

Patronus : Not learned yet, but I have a pretty good idea of what it will be.
