{This RP is rated for violence, language, suggestive content, etc and so forth}

Among the many servants and tools of judgment within the Imperium of Man, one of the greatest is the Inquisition. Able to call upon aid from any branch of Imperial government and military and operating fully autonomously makes the agents of the Inquisition feared throughout Imperial space.

The Inquisitional Ordo Hereticus is charged with protecting mankind from threats within itself. Among the Ordo’s hunters of traitors heretics is one Hieronymus Dalk, a radical of the Xanthist persuasion. Though his philosophy and use of warp-based weaponry had gained the usual ire from his more puritanical brethren, Dalk’s results have rarely been one’s of failure.

On a mid-summer day, a file found it’s way to Hieronymus’ desk. The file had been passed to him from his good friend Inquisitor Credo and held information regarding a growing situation on the desert world of Orotia. Specifically, the file spoke of rumors of a growing threat of militant rebels throughout Orotia and their possible impact if not looked into.

Seeing this as a great opportunity to test the abilities of some his newly acquired retinue, including his new Interrogator, Hieronymus gives them the task of looking into the activity on Orotia. The game is set and once the final pieces are chosen, it can begin.

---

I decided to go for a bit of a smaller scale with this Warhammer roleplay. So, incase it wasn’t obvious, we will be playing members of the team sent by Inquisitor Hieronymus to investigate Orotia. I, myself, will be playing the Interrogator and one other member of the team as well as playing the major baddies.

However, should you with to play a character from a place other than the team, feel free to discuss it with me over PM or IM. I’m sure we’ll be able to work something out.

---

The following is the character sheet. I will be abridging my own because I can.

Name: Kanewulf Mactre
Age: 29
Rank: Interrogator

Gear: Plasma pistol, force sword, compact autopistol(hidden on person)
Personality and Short History: An intelligent and capable man as well as a potent psyker, Kanewulf has served the Inquisition faithfully for several years. His sociable nature makes it sometimes easy for him to get people to open up to him on their own without resorting to using mental stimuli. His cunning intellect and ability to manipulate people quickly made him an asset to the Inquisitors he served with before Dalk. He came into the service of Inquisitor Dalk shortly after the untimely demise of his former patron, Inquisitor Fulburg.

Name: Orvulf Evin
Age: 26
Rank/Assignment: Psyker/Interrogator
Appearance: http://app.fantasyflightgames.com/dark-heresy/images/purge-previews/vorlin-big.jpg
Gear: Bolt Pistol, Chain Sword, Psyker Attacks
Personality and Short History: Orvulf is an angry and disruptive man, though one really can't blame him. He was born being connected to the warp, and he avoided the black ships for quite a while. Eventually, he was captured and ranked as a super high class psyker, capable of not only navigating a ship through the warp, but also turning the tide of battle with mear thought.

All your characters are pretty young, so I thought I'd go for a little older. I'm surprised no one's gone for a character above 100 years old!

Name: Tiberius Valens
Age: 58
Rank/Assignment: Captain/Fire support
Appearance: http://www.deviantart.com/download/109242609/Imperial_Guard_Stormtrooper_by_Robban_O.jpg
Gear: Refractor field, auspex, carapace armour, vox caster
Weapons: Hellgun, bolt pistol, krak grenades, power sword
Other: Various organs have been replaced by bionics due to prolonged "service" to the Imperium and to extend his lifespan
Personality: Loyal and experienced, he wants for nothing more than an honourable death in service. That being said, he won't hold back his tactical advice if he feels mistakes are being made. Generally upbeat even when in combat.
Short History: Captain Tiberius Valens is a veteran of many battles throughout the Imperium, rising from the ranks with his knack for survival and relying on his own initiative, although he never mentions which regiment he belonged to and considers it a closely guarded secret (if such a thing is possible in the company of Psykers). If there's an enemy that wants to rip your arms off, atomize you, corrupt your soul or even eat you, chances are Tiberius has encounted them at some point and escaped more or less in one piece. Saying that, his luck has limits, and more than often parts of him have needed replacing. Previously he had served for a short while under various Generals as part of their bodyguard retinues, promotion to this position dragging him away from the dangers of the battlefield into the relative safety and comfort of an Imperial Officer. Although he longed for a return to the frontlines, he continued to serve his new masters until one had been declared a heretic by the Inquisition and was summarily executed. After a lengthy investigation by the Inquisition, he was deemed uncorrupted and was offered the chance to serve under them. Initially rejecting this offer, Tiberius wished to return to his old regiment but was soon notified of its wholesome destruction several months prior. Seeing no other alternative, and at the very least a promise of an honourable death in the service of the Emperor, he accepted.

Inquisitor Dalk, the Magos, and Thermidor are over 100.

Anyway, both accepted.

Ah alright then and thanks :)

I'm really quite excited to see what other members of the retinue people come up with.

Name: Archarus

Age: 126

Rank/Assignment: Chirurgeon

Appearance: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Images/Product/DefaultFW/xlarge/techpreist.jpg
More available HERE (http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/TITAN-TECH-PRIEST.html)

Gear: Interchangeable servo-arm attachments including a flamer, a medical arm, and a standard manipulator claw. A bolt pistol-equipped servo-skull. A power-halberd, and various other small items.

Personality and Short History: Though Archarus may look like a tech-priest (lulz) this is only because of the extended period of time he has spent as a battlefield medic and his affinity for technology. As it stands both his arms have been replaced as well as one of his legs and his lower jaw and throat which were ripped off by a misfire from an ogryn's weapon as he was being healed. He came into the employ of Inquisitor Dalk after exhibiting a keen sense of just where to prick and press to extract pain and information from a subject.

hope he's alright... there are no good pics of a Chirurgeon-like character in robes with a backpack full of servo-arms.

For reference, the Rank/Assignment bit is meant to read Rank or Assignment. As far as I can tell, an Inquisitor generally has one Interrogator under his wing. However, this is the information of a single source and I will continue to pursue this as the person I asked is sometimes not the best source of information.

let me know if it needs changing, i've got no reservations on his profession at the moment.

who's to say he can't help out in interrogations anyway though xD

For all intents and purposes, everyone working under Dalk is an acolyte of some fashion. The Rank/Assignment bit is mainly for indicating if a character has a specialty, a rank outside the Inquisition (PM or IM me), etc and so forth.

So, for the moment at least, I'd like to ask Splicer and Higs to edit out the "interrogator" bit. Oh, and Splicer's character is accepted.

This looks like a great game. Why not submit it for Roleplay of the Week (http://www.role-player.net/forum/showthread.php?t=905) or put it in the Roleplaying Games Directory (http://www.role-player.net/forum/showthread.php?t=2304) or click here (http://www.role-player.net/forum/showthread.php?t=3975) to help attract players?
