In the streets of New York City, a man wearing a black leather jacket, with a grey hoodie underneath. Blue jeans and black shoes. While wearing the hoodie, the strange man was walking rather fast as he kept looking over his shoulder as if he was been followed. He kept walking fast, he was actually breathing heavily after a certain distance.

He came around a corner and sees a tall man wearing a black suit, dark shades. His long black hair in a ponytail and has a goatee. He approached the bouncer and tried to walk past him. The Bouncer puts his hand on his chest and gives the man a push back. "Members only." The Bouncer said.

The man chuckled, "Oh come on." He said as he tried again, but instead gets pushed back again and hears the words. "Members only." Being repeated. The Bouncer folded his arms and stands in front of him. The man looked around and flashed money. "How much?" He asked. The Bouncer chuckled and raises his hand. "Members only."

"Okay...how about this?" He flashed a small bag of white material inside. "You like candy?" He asked with a smile. The Bouncer pulled his dark shades down a little and looked at the bag, he looked both ways of the streets and smiled. He takes the small bag from the man and pulls the door behind him. "Welcome back Mr. Doss." He says calmly. The man entered the building rather quickly.

Once he was inside, the Bouncer waited for a moment and reached for his phone. He was texting at the moment and puts his phone back in his suit. He looked behind a trash can and finds what look like a money bag. He used a key to open the bag and puts the small baggy inside and hides the pouch. He stood at the door again and looks around the street.

Once inside, the man could hear the bass beating off of the walls and music muffled in the hallway. The man opens a red door and the music became clear. It was loud, including the people who were dancing and cheering. Techno music blasted on the speakers and the DJ seemed to have a great time of his life as he played new tracks.

The man walked past by the party goers, but each one of them was looking at the man as he passes by. The man felt weird as he could feel so many eyes on him. Finding a way to the bar, the counter glowed like a night light. The man looked at the bartender and says one word. "Whiskey!" The bartender only smiled and pours the man a glass of whiskey. Seconds later, a woman stood by the man. "So...your the candy man." The woman said as she leans on the counter with her elbow on top. Her eyes glued on the face of the stranger who entered her building. "Maybe I am, why? You want some candy?" The man asked with a smirk as he takes a sip of his whiskey.

The woman smiled as she looked at the glass cup and to his neck. "Follow me." She steps away from the counter and slowly walked towards the back area of the building. The man wiped his chin and followed the strange woman. She lead him into a room that was very quiet. Like no music, no sound, except the clank of her heels as she took each step. She slowly sits on the couch and looked at the man. Inside the room, were two more men. Dressed as the same front the entrance. The man stood there in the middle of the room as he watched the woman sit on the couch.

"So...how much are you needing?" He asked, keeping his hands in his pockets. The woman stands back up and steps closer to the man. "All of it." Her hand reaches up and firmly grips on the man's jacket. "That's gonna cost you." He said nervously.

The woman chuckled as she leans closer, "Lady your a little bit too---" He grunted as he felt something pierce his neck. He groaned in pain, he tried pushing the woman off of him, but the woman was too strong. The man started to scream as he felt the woman shoved him down on the ground. The screams muffled out from the sound of music and the people cheering.

In minutes the woman walked out of the room, wiping her chin and holding a big bag of drugs. She looked at her assistant. A young man, slim body, slick hair, clean shaved. "Here, see what you can do about this." She handed the bag over.

“You wanted to see me captain?” Laurel said, walking into the office and sitting down in front of the desk of an old grizzled man who seemed to be buried behind a mountain of paperwork.

“Kingsley, yeah I was looking over your request to investigate the Midnight Club.” Captain Reed said, moving a stack of paperwork to a chair so he could see Laurel without craning his neck. “I'm denying it.”

“What? Come on Reed it's obvious something is going on there.” Laurel said, jumping to her feet without realizing.

“Yes, it is but I'm not letting you anywhere near that place with back up.” Reed said, taking a couple folders off the stack he just moved and handing them over to Laurel. “I want you to look these over.”

Laurel was still upset he wasn't approving the plan to investigate the Midnight Club. She looked through the top folder at first thinking it was another case that he wanted her to work on. She frowned seeing it was a personal file. “I rather work alone.” Laurel said, meaning to hand folders back but Reed wouldn't take them.

“And I don't care what you want. Last time I checked you work for me. I'm sick of assigning you a partner and hearing you bitch or getting transfer papers from whatever poor bastard that gets stuck with you. So pick your own damn partner.” Reed said, leaning back in his chair looking at the files she was still trying to hand back. “I mean it Kingsley or I'll have no choice but to bust you back down to patrol.”

“Sir, you can't be serious.” Laurel growled.

“I am serious, you need a partner.” Reed said, “Now go pick a partner and maybe I will let you investigate the Midnight Club.”

She looked at him and when he didn't back down she tucked the folders under her arm and stormed out of his office. At first she headed to her desk but stopped about half way there and walked to the door with the folders still under her arm. From there she went to her squad car getting in and driving across town stopping at Starbucks on the way for a coffee. She drove over near the Midnight Club and parking about a block away where she had a good view of the front door. She sipped on her coffee while looking over the folders. There were two transfers from other departments and three newly promoted detectives. Laurel had to admit she wasn't familiar with any of them so she started going over the folders hoping that one of them wasn't that bad. Every so often she would glance up from the folders to the front of the club but so far nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

The bouncers outside kept watched as they guarded the door and held on a list of certain people to be allowed inside. A few girls who seemed to be in the model business approached the two and exchanged words. One of the bouncers looked at his list and nodded. The second reaches for the door and opens it widely for the two females. The bouncers watched as the two entered and smiled at each other.

Inside, the building was still beating to the sounds of music and was getting louder and louder. After midnight, it seemed the building shook from the bass from the DJ set. Suko was in her office, still licking her teeth from the blood she drank. She looked up to see a few associates entered the office.

"Madam." The first one said, he was tall and average built. But his accent was almost Russian or Ukraine. Short black hair and a black scruffy beard. "We sold the drugs to the off site associate as requested. He tried to rip us off, but we managed to...persuade him to give a better rate."

Suko smiled and leans back in her chair. "Good, tell me...what was the payment?" She asked, looking at the two. The second associate was young, short and slim. Shaved head, no facial hair. "Nearly 4 grand." He simply said. His voice was light, but American.

"Kind of sounds like chump change. Oh well." With a heavy sigh, Suko stands up from her seat and looked out her window. Observing the dance floor and watched as her patrons danced to an endless list of music. She turned again, facing at a security camera's on the wall. A lot of them pointed at the entrances of the building and streets. She noticed a vehicle had approached and parked on the opposite street, but no one got out. She hummed to herself and looked at her associates.

"The doormen, what was the collect?" She asked smoothly.

"Nearly two and a half thousand." The young man said. "Mostly baggies though, and believe it or not. They're all pretty good stuff." He checked his list and examined the page. "Some of these were homemade, cheap crap. But the rest...looks like we been ripping off suppliers."

Another sigh in the room. "That doesn't surprise me." Suko folded her arms and continued examining the camera's. "If they show up at my door. By all means, let them in and we will have dinner supplies to last us a good while." She chuckled. Her eyes kept returning to the screen with the vehicle parked, she had a feeling. "I'm gonna go for a walk, I need to find a finishing touch after biting that stranger. I can still taste the bitterness of him." She walked to her desk and reached for her maroon jacket that fit her body well.

In minutes she was out the front door where the two bouncers had greeted her. "Keep bringing them in." She said while walking past the two and headed towards the opposite direction where the car had parked. Her heels clacked on the concrete as her movement was swift.

Looking over the files she hated having to choose a new partner. She was glad Daniel was happy with retirement and still had breakfast with him once a week. Replacing him wasn't going to be easy. The new detectives were out, Laurel didn't want to be a training detective showing a rookie the ropes. She knew she had been a pain in ass to Daniel and didn't have the patience that he did. Which left one of the transfers. One was a woman transferring from homicide and the other was a man from cyber crimes. She dropped the folder for the cyber crimes on the seat of the car, narcotics was totally different than cyber crimes and she didn't want a computer nerd at her back or rather having to baby sit them. The homicide detective was more likely, it took a special kind of person to work homicide. The question now was why were they leaving it? Laurel had thought about applying for it before being assigned to narcotics. Felicity Oliver, she had been with the NYPD for twelve years, the last eight of them with the homicide department. Oliver had a good record, no disciplinary actions against her and several accommodations. All and all she was the best choice if she was being forced to make one.

Laurel looked up noticing someone walking towards her, it was a woman she was very familiar with and the subject for her investigations. City records showed the Midnight Club belonged to Suko Kurosaki. A web search had shown very little about the woman. There was very little published about her. Laurel had even done a facial recognition search but had only come up with a number of historical photos that could have been Suko Kurosaki's doppelganger. She dropped the folder down on the seat and set her jacket over them before picking her phone up. She held the phone to her ear pretending to be a phone call, glad she was in a unmarked car with regular plates.

The woman walked rather fast as she made her way towards the vehicle. She noticed the occupant of the vehicle did a quick move by acting to be on a cell phone. She smirked as she continued to walk by and past the car. She continued to walk on the sidewalk to manage her own business. She stopped suddenly and looked up to see the moon barely shining in the city. Her eyes matched with it as she stood there, motionless. She relived her past for a moment.

She remembered walking in the night to her parent's home. She wanted to cook for them as her soon to be husband was away for his duties. She carried a basket filled with vegetables, preparations to make soup or roast pot. Wondering through the woods, but remained on the path. She felt a sudden feel as though she was being followed. Stopping for only a moment, there was a cold chill in the air. Her breath could be seen, and her body shivered.

About to returning on her trip, she gasped when a man appeared before her. A man who dressed oddly and his hair was slicked back in a ponytail. His skin pale and eyes seem as if he never had slept. He asked a question, but Suko couldn't understood a word he said. She replied only in her native tongue. The man chuckled and suddenly grabbed her by the throat. She gasped and choked on his grip. The man chuckled and said more words. She tried over and over for him to let go. But gasped when she felt a sharp pain in her neck and half of her life drained away.

Suko came close to death. But the death never came when the man stopped and looked to only see somebody chasing him away. Another man, only to hear Japanese. "Are you okay?!" Was the only words she could hear before becoming unconcsious.

Suko mind returned from her past. Turning her head to look over her shoulder, looking at the car. She smirked and continued walking.

She continued to pretend to talk on the phone as Suko walked past her. Laurel watched her from the mirrors of the car until Suko was a good distance from her then exited the car. She followed behind Suko wondering where she was heading. This was a stupid idea, she shouldn't be following Suko especially with no back up and not even authorized to be surveilling the club. It just Laurel knew there was something going on at the club and with its owner. She was determined to figure it out. Staying a good distance behind Suko she walked, using the camera on her phone she snapped a few photos. Where was Suko heading? This was New York so everything was still open at this late hour so it could be anything.

She noticed Suko turn down an alleyway, she was familiar with this part of the city and knew that alley let out to the next street over. When she reached the entrance she waited a few moments before looking down it. She didn't see Suko there so she thought the woman must have reached the other side. If she was going to continue following her she needed to make it to the other side and see which way she went. Still against her better judgment Laurel headed down the alley.

Suko walked in the dark alley for some time now. She was greeted by a shady character wearing a black hoodie. His face was hidden, she could barely identify the man. "Hey pretty lady." The man smiled as he looked around to see if she was followed or not. "I got that sugar candy."

Suko stopped and smiled at the man and stepped closer to him. "Sugar candy huh?" She spoke softly and acted shyly. "How much are we talking?" She asked another question in a soft manner.

The man inhales sharply as he rubbed his nose. "50 a gram." He flashed a small bag filled with white substance. "If you want a real party lady, 100 bucks for a something better."

The lady chuckled softly. "I think I like that."

The man nodded at the door behind him. Soon she followed. The man was looking inside of a duffle bag and pulled out a gun instead of drugs. "Hand over your money and you'll live bitch."

Suko only smiled and looked at the pistol. Her finger touched the barrel. "Bitch! I said hand over your fucking money!" His hand raised up and grabbed her by the throat. "The fuck?!" He said in shock as he felt his hand was cold by her skin.

She slapped the gun out of his hand and pushed the man again'st the wall. Her hand wrapped tightly on his neck. She smiled as she revealed her fangs. "Get the fuck off bitch!" The man was scared as he tried to get her grip off, but she was too strong.

Sniffing his neck, and sighs in arousement. "You'll do just fine." She said softly as she pierced his neck. The man screamed at first, Suko tightened her grip and stopped the man from screaming any longer. She was feeding for a while and pulls away. She sighs in relief.

The lifeless body fell on the ground and remained still. She wiped her lips from the blood and licked her fingers. She grabbed the drugs and money inside the bag. She even picked up the pistol and looked at closely. She scoffed as she unloaded the gun, kicked the clip and dis-assembled the weapon.

Walking out of the small room, she looked around and continued walking towards an open street where she could see numerous people walking around. She quickly walked with the crowd.

As she entered the alley Laurel hear a scream and it seemed to be cut off. She drew her service weapon and ran down the alley. It was dark and hard to see the other end where the scream had come from. The thing about these alleys they could be as long as a city block. When she finally reached where the scream had come from there was no one there except a drunk laying on the ground. He looked to have passed out some time ago. Moving further down the alley she kicked something on the ground. The sound of it sliding across the pavement didn't sound like normal debris in an alley. Reaching into her pocket she pulled out a flashlight shining it down on the ground. The light revealed a dissembled gun on the ground. “Damn it.” Laurel said, turning back to the drunk laying on the ground. She moved back to him passing her light over him. He was pale but more so than a normal drunk would be. She tucked her gun back into it's holster then leaned down pressing her fingers to his neck not feeling a pulse.

When she pulled her hand back she noticed blood on her finger tips. “Damn it.” Laurel said, finding a dead body tonight wasn't what she wanted to do tonight. Suko had just come through here and the body was still warm. This murder had just happened. Either Suko saw something or she caused this. Whatever this was. Laurel had no idea. Wiping her hands on a tissue from her coat pocket she pulled her phone out calling the station. “This is Detective Kingsley, badge number 24601. I am on the corner of 9th and Washington. I need units here for a suspected homicide.” Laurel hung up then looked down the alley still not seeing anyone and knew that her surveillance of Suko was over for the night and that Reed was going to have her ass when he found out why she was here.

The next morning...

Detective Walker of Homicide walked in wearing a black suit, his hair slicked and clean shave. He had paper work in one hand and a Starbucks coffee cup with his name written in cursive on it, and also a number. Assuming it was from a female receptionist. He takes a sip of his coffee as he walked up to see Detective Kingsley at her desk. Stepping up quietly and sighs softly. "Well, found a dead body last night?" He asked without even saying 'Good Morning.' He stood there with a smirk on his face. "Figured as much." He chuckled.

"Here." He extended out his arm with the paperwork. "Autopsy reports. Morgan said the man you found last night died from a major blood loss, and also there was a large bruise around his neck. His vocal was cut off and it looked like the neck was nearly ripped in half." He sighs and looked at Laurel. "What the hell did you find last night?" He asked again. "Oh and the examiners found no prints on that gun, it's like whoever dis-assembled the gun knew what they were doing. And as for the contents in the bag showed there was drugs, but since none was found...it can't be proven."

He looked at the Captain's office. He sees the man himself sitting on his desk and talking with someone on the phone. "Oh and the Captain was not happy when he found out you were near the club you wanted to investigate." He sighs in exhaustion. "Listen if you want to investigate the club, you'll need a partner. I can help...the guy they assigned me is dumb as a brick."

She sat at her desk looking over the report she had written last night on the body she had found. The Captain had just gotten done chewing her ass for disobeying him. Laurel had tried to explain she had just been doing surveillance when she literally stumbled across the body. Reed hadn’t been buying it, not even when she pointed out that she had been reviewing the files he had given her. He told her that her report better be perfect. As she looked over it right now it was far from perfect, being that she wrote it late last night it was no surprise. She had been half asleep by the time she left the station some three hours after her shift ended.

She looked up as a homicide detective walked in and started talking to her. His suit was nice, nicer than most of the detectives in the precinct and his hair slicked back. He had the look to him of someone who was very sure of himself. The delicate way his name was written on the cup accompanied by a phone number made Laurel think he thought he was a charmer as well. “I don’t have a clue what I found last night.” Laurel said, taking the report and going over it. She looked back up to him, “Isn’t that your job to figure out?”

She reached over to her own coffee, straight from the station coffee pot. Laurel refused to pay for over-priced coffee that wasn’t that good. Granted the station coffee was like drinking mud but it packed a punch hard enough to wake you up. Hers though had gone cold why she was getting yelled at by Reed. She made a bitter face at the taste of the cold coffee and then set her cup down. “No offense but don’t you have your hands tied with your own case?” She said, holding the autopsy report up. “I’m good by myself.” She didn’t want to be paired up with a pretty boy who thought he was god’s gift to women.

At just that moment as if he had been eavesdropping Reed popped out of the office. He had a large smirk on his face as he walked over to Laurel’s desk. “Kingsley good news you can work on the Midnight Club case.” He said, Laurel lit up wondering what had changed the Captain’s mind then it came, “Just got off the phone with the Chief, he think’s your case is linked to last night’s homicide and wants us to work with homicide to solve it. Ah Detective Walker you’re here already.” Reed said, holding his hand out to shake.

A coffin laid in the middle of a room. Sun light brightened the room clearly, wooden floor remain bare, walls clean and not covered with ornaments. Just a big black coffin. Inside, the woman was breathing laborly as she slept. Her arms crossed on her chest, mouth slightly open for her to breath. She was dreaming about her past but was disturbance as a sound of a muffled ring disturbed her.

She moaned softly when the ring sounded off again. She pressed her chest with her arms and stretched her body out. Her feet touching the end of the coffin. Her eyes still closed as her hands searched for something in the coffin that was with her. It was a small device that was connected with a mic to the door. She pressed a button, her voice was soft, but exhausted. "Hmm...hello?"

"Finally, and here I thought I would have to kick your door open." A voice replied, another female. "Listen love, open the door. We need to talk about your last night feeding."

Suko takes in a deep breath and exhales slowly and replied slowly. "Um..okay, hang on." She clicked another button which activated her curtains to drop and cover the sun. The room blacked out and the coffin slowly opened. Suko yawns as she finally pushed the coffin lid open. Inside of the black coffin, red interior revealed the woman wearing black panties and black bra. Her hair neatly in place, she yawned one more time before getting out of the coffin.

She walked around in her only clothing and finds the door. She quickly opens the door with her tired face staring at a woman who waited. Blonde hair, red lipstick, black shades. "About time." The woman said as she stepped forward. Suko walked away and yawns again. "Whatever." She replied quickly.

"Hmm, I see you didn't take the time to dress yourself." The woman examined her body from head to toe. "Still, I don't mind the view." There was a smile on her face.

Suko sighs in exhaustion and sits on a couch in her living room. "So...what is this about my last night feeding?" She asked the woman.

"Turns out your feeding brought some attention." The woman takes her shades off, her eyes were bright yellow. "The police found a body near your club. A officer must have been trailing you or the drug dealer you feed off of."

Suko sighs once again. "Yes, well. They should be awarding me for doing their work." The woman crossed her arms. "Is this soming I should be concerned about?"

"They also found the bodies at our dump sites. It's not pretty when they found all the drug dealers in one place." The woman walked in her kitchen and raided her refrigerator. Finding a bottle of blood with a wine label. "Charming." She examined the bottle. "And yes, you should be concern, because we're concern. The body you feed was linked to a much larger drug business man. And he is not happy about it." Her eyes met with hers.

A scoff replied. "So I feed from a local dealer who gets his supplies from a bigger dealer, big whoopie do." She stood up and stretched, "Does he know about our...kind?" She asked.

"Hmm, no. But that is not what worries me." She placed the bottle on the counter and searches her cabinets for glass cups. "They have a witness of you leaving the location." She opens a cabinet and finds the glass cups. "And we want you to find him and kill him before this becomes something serious." The woman pulled the cork and poured the cups with the blood. "Do whatever it takes, but do it quietly. She picked up the glass cups and walked over to the woman, handing over one. Suko only smiled. "As you wish." She takes a sip from her drink and sighs in relief.

Back at the station....

Walker smiled as he shook the Captain's hand and shook it firmly. "Sir." He looked at Laurel, "Ah yes, Midnight Club." He smiled, "I heard about it, but never been inside of it." He took the reports from Laurel and held it close to him. "I believe the bodies we found have all simliar deaths." He looked at the Captain. "Believe it or not, we actually found a large amount of bodies at several locations. The Dump site for one. Each body was found exactly how Laurel discovered the man from last night's murder."

Walker knew about the cases he had to investigate. And he also learned about Laurel's case linking to his, which was odd and yet fortunate for him as it was a step closer to finding who the murderer was. "Just like in this autospy report, each body was found with major blood loss, major damage to the neck area. Oh and several limbs and bones broken in pieces." He showed the report to the Captain. "Is...there a reason why you wanted to see me?...while I'm already here?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.

“Yes, Walker. I just got done speaking with the chief. He wants you and Kingsley working together. It seems you both may be chasing the same fish.” Reed said, shooting Laurel a look telling her not to argue. This order was coming from the chief and she better play nice. “Well I’ll leave you two be to compare notes.”

Reed then left the two of them alone heading back to his office. Laurel resisted the urge to groan aloud and picked up the autopsy report again noticing the other deaths were included as well. She wasn’t a homicide detective but she should have known the file was too thick to have been just one report. Flipping through it again she saw what Walker had meant there were a number of different reports each one with the same cause of death. Several of the remains found were quite hold and had taken longer to determine cause of death but it seemed the same. The department would have its hands full with death notifications. It was very likely that whoever was behind the murder last night was behind these as well. Laurel wondered what kind of weapon the killer was using, it seemed more like a wild animal had made these marks. “Do you guys have any idea what kind of tools the killer is using?”

Police HQ...

Walker shrugged as he set his coffee cup down on Laurel's table. He looked around and finds a nearby chair to sit on. Once he was down, he sighs and looked at Laurel. "That is the one puzzle we can't solve. Autospy reports show they all have something in common." He showed a picture of a dead male. "See the throat?" He asked as he looked at the picture as well." The bruising mark shows it was a hand, the thumb drove it hard and deep." He puts the picture down, "And a bunch of other medical stuff I didn't really understand." He chuckled a bit.

"We think it might be a really strong man. Or somebody with tremendous strength." He leans forward and grabs his coffee, takes a small sip and looked at Laurel. "But I do have something that might help us." He stood up and nodded, "Come on." He said as he walked away.

Police garage...

Walker approached a black 1969 Camaro. He reached for his keys and unlocked the door, once he was inside. He waited for his partner to get in. He turned the ignition and the engine started to purr. He smiled as he shifted gears and hit the gas. Speeding out of the garage. Once he was on the street, he pointed as the glove compartment.

"There is a file in there that shows us a possible witness. We crossed references of alias, family members and co-workers. We found a match of the dead man you found last night, turns out he lives with guy who is part of the 'Carnales.' gang. A local mexican bad ass group, but instead of turfs, they been fighting for drug deals. And the drug dealer was just a front for him. You know, sell 2/3 third of the deal, get a small cut. Maybe a little something something. Anyways. The apartment where these two guys live is just above where the murder took place. Easy enough for his friend to keep an eye out for him. We question him, get him to drop his guts, and we'll give him a slap on the wrist, IF he identifies the killer."

The car took a quick turn and came to a halt. He leans forward and smiled. "But first, I'm hungry. You hungry?" He asked as he opened the door. "My treat, as partners." He smiled and got out of the vehicle.

Roof top...

Suko was smoking a cigarette, though she can't taste the tobacco much. She only did it because it would make her look human. She was sitting on the edge of the roof, but was glad the sky was cloudy. Blocking the sun's rays. She looked at a file and pulled out pictures of a latino male, apartment number, and a large black bag. She sighs as she looked at the black bag, it looked familiar. She scofffed, tossing the cigarette aside and stood up.

Stretching for a moment, with soft grunts. She moved her neck around, sounds of bones cracking or popping. She started to run, making a quick dash towards the opposite edge. Leaping forward, she flew for 5 seconds before her body impacted through a window. She rolled and landed in a perfect matter.

"What the fuck?!" A man startled, stood up right away and reached for a pistol laying on the table.

"Let's play." The woman said as she rushed towards the man. Several fire shots, then suddenly the man screamed.

Ralph's Cafeteria...

As he took a bite of his sandwich, he moaned softly. "Ah man that's good." He said taking another bite. "Alright so." He swallowed his food with a soft beverage and looked at his partner. "Apparently, a lot of members of the Carnales are starting to dwindle down...like by a lot." He pointed at the files. "Most of those cases...are all Carnales members. Each one is either a dealer, or an escort." He takes a napkin and wiped his hands clean. "No one knows who's been killing them. We even took a fingerprint off of one of the dead guys, but nothing came up."

He was about to say another thing, then suddenly his radio flared up. "Attention units near 9th and Washington Street. We received a report of gun shots fired in an apartment complex, building number 2409. Possible wounded, medical units are enroute."

Detective Walker stood up and wiped his lips with a clean napkin. "That's our guy." He remarked and quickly grabbed his sandwich and drink, tossing both items in a nearby trash can and rushed to his car.

Washington Street...

The car sped fast with emergency lighs and siren wailing in the background. The car was first on the scene and Detective Walker got out quick after stopping in front of the building. He looked at his partner and reached for his side arm. "I'll take point." He said as he rushed inside.

When he entered the buidling, he noticed the other local residents were staring at a door, the only door that didnt' open like the others. Walker stood on one side of the door and waited for his partner. He raised his hand up and showed three fingers, then two, then one. He stood in front of the door, took a step back and lunged forward. Kicking the door wide open.

Suko looked up suddenly when she saw the door busted opened. Her mouth bloody as she stared at the man pointing a gun at her. Her hands grabbed the male roughly and tossed the body at Walker, a shot was fired as Walker fell back and landed on the ground with the man on top of him. "Get her!" He shouted as he struggled to get the man off of him.

The asian woman took off in a quick matter through the same way she came in. Using the staircase, she moved fast climbing up.

Laurel let off several shots but the woman moved unnaturally fast. The bullets missed her imbedding in the wall. Briefly Laurel thought it was a good thing this building was made of brick and she didn't have to worry about a stray bullet hitting someone. She ran after the woman to the fire escape jumping out the window, knowing she shouldn't run off without her partner but she didn't want the woman to get away. She had only caught a quick glimpse of the woman but could tell she had blood all over the front of her and around her mouth. What she had been doing to the man, Laurel didn't have a clue. Though for a moment she thought she recognized the fleeing woman as the same woman she had been following last night, Suko Kurosaki.

Once on the fire escape she looked down first thinking she would run down to get away, but there was no one there. She looked above her seeing Suko running up a little surprised that she seemed not to make a sound. Laurel didn't know how that was humanly possible. Quickly she reversed her direction and ran upward. Suko was still moving unnaturally fast but somehow Laurel managed to stay not too far behind. Perhaps it was the four years of track that she did in high school and another four in college. Laurel had ran competitively while in college and her coaches had encouraged her to aim for the Olympics but a car accident where her foot was broken in four different places ended that. She still ran from time to time but wasn't able to run at the paces she did when she competed.

Suko got to the roof of the building before Laurel who was only a few seconds behind. She thought that she had her now, there was no where to go on the roof top. Laurel had her cornered. When she reached the top of the fire escape she looked up before jumping onto the roof to see if Suko would attack her but she was halfway across the roof already. She jumped up planted her feet in a good stance, taking aim at Suko. “NYPD you've got no where to go. Turn around and put your hands in the air.” Laurel shouted across the roof.

Suko stopped as she was halfway on the roof top. Her ears perked up when she heard a female telling her to stop. She didn't bother looking over her shoulder to know who it was. She chuckled softly when she heard the words, 'You've got no where to go.' She raised her voice for the officer to hear. "That's a understatement!" Her eyes looked ahead to see the building across the street.

"There is always somewhere to go!" Her left leg pushed off the pebbles and jolted in a quick rush. Running in a full speed, she jumped over the edge. Flying across the street into the next block, she crashes through a window and into some random stranger's apartment. The occupants screamed in shock and terror as they witness the woman in their apartment. Suko groaned as she stood back up and dusted the glass off of her leather jacket, including the blood as it sprayed on the carpet. She looked over her shoulder and grinned, taking off once again.

Walker arrived ontop of the roof and witnessed as the woman jumped over the edge. "Ah hell." He said as he ran quickly towards the edge, only to see the woman had made it across. He was shocked and was silent for a moment. "That's not possible." He said, finally breaking the silence. "Did you get a good look of her face?" He asked Laurel while holstering his gun.

When the woman stopped Laurel thought that she had her but the woman laughed then ran to the edge jumping over it with the ease of a long jumper. The next building was a good twenty or thirty feet over there is no way she should have been able to clear it. When Laurel had been a beat cop she had responded to a few jumper calls and the images of those bodies never left you. She really didn't want to have another in her mind. Still she ran to the side of the building next to Walker expecting to have to call a coroner but was amazed that the woman was able to clear the gap. “What the fuck” Laurel asked watching the woman crash into the building.

It took a moment for her realize Walker had asked her a question. “Yeah, Suko Kurosaki.” Laurel said, even more surprised to see Suko run out a side door of the building. She looked over the wall seeing another fire escape on this side of the building. She jumped over the wall and started down the fire escape knowing there was no way she could catch up with Suko but trying anyway.

The asian woman walked out of the door and started walking on the street, using a towel to wipe the blood off of her mouth, and chin. Including the blood on her jacket and tossed the towel on the ground. She stopped when she felt an odd feeling. Looking over her shoulder, she had seen the other woman running down the fire escape.

Suko quickly runs around the corner which led through another alley way. She could easily run through the alley way and disappear with the crowd. But she decided to hid herself behind a dumpster. She waited for a moment for the female officer to run past her. She waited, listening to the surrounding sounds. Her eyes closed as she could hear a shuffle feet moving rather quickly.

She did not expect a second fair of feet behind the first. She waited until she had seen the woman, then she had seen the man. Jumping out from behind the dumpster and grabbed Walker by the back of the collar and tossed his body towards the dumpster, knocking the man unconcsious.

Suko rushed quickly up the woman, grabbed her hand with the gun. Holding firmly and tight. Suko stared at the other woman, holding her position still, all she could was smile at the other. Pulling the woman's arm, Suko managed to get behind her and hold the woman in a arm lock, while still keeping the gun pointed in the direction of her partner.

"Whatever you seen...it would be best to forget it." She whispered in the woman's ear, her voice soothing and calm. "You don't want to get involved of what is going on." Suko reached for her gun and pulled it out of her hand and released her from the grip. Suko dismantled the weapon and dropped each piece on the ground. "Stay away." She warned with a just one finger waving back and forth. Walking away rather quickly, "You better check on your partner." Then started running away.

Walker however groaned as he started to come around. "What happened?" He asked.

Why she was running after the woman, Laurel didn't know despite being a college runner she didn't think she would be able to catch up with her due to the lead Suko had and how unnaturally fast she moved. When Suko ran into the alleyway she knew she was going to lose her. Looking behind her she was surprised to see that Walker was able to keep up with her though he looked a little winded. She entered the alley and just as she suspected she had lost Suko, she was no where to be seen. Coming to a stop she quickly turned around at the sound of a loud thunk against a dumpster. Walker was laying on the ground and judging by the dent in the dumpster he had been thrown against it. Before she had a chance to even react Suko was there with her hand gripped around her firearm. Laurel tried to pull away thinking that since she was a little taller than Suko and had more muscle mass she should be able to break free but Suko's grip was far stronger than expected. In a blink of an eye she was locked in an arm bar once again surprised at the other woman's strength.

As Suko spoke her lips were right against her ear and she could feel the other woman's body pressed against her own. Laurel couldn't help but notice a number of things the first being the way the other woman felt, where their skin met she felt that Suko was cold. Not ice cold but far lower than normal. When she spoke she noticed she didn't feel her breath on her neck but she was well aware of how close her lips were to her neck. Her words gave a warning but Laurel got the feeling like at any moment Suko would reach her tongue out and lick her neck. It sent a shiver down her spine and forced her to take a deep breath making her notice the last and probably most noticeable thing about Suko, her scent. The Asian woman smelled like a dark red wine, with a deep and rich smell to her that made Laurel's head swim as if it was intoxicating her. Suko held Laurel at a disadvantage but instead of feeling threaten she felt like she was in the embrace of a lover. She wanted to lean back into Suko and enjoy whatever wonders the woman could offer.

Then as quick as it had happened it was over. Laurel didn't realize she had been disarmed until she heard the pieces of her gun hit the ground. As Suko walked away wagging a finger at her she was dumbfounded and in a daze. Her hand reached up and brushed her neck where she should have felt Suko's breath but didn't. What had just happened? Laurel felt as helpless as the first time she had been kissed by another girl back in high school. Totally confused as to what just happened and amazed at how good it had felt.

She was drawn from her stupor by Walker's groan, it snapped her out of whatever haze she was in. Rushing to his side she knelt next to him to check if he was alright. She reached to her belt and pulled her radio out. “I need a bus at....” She said looking around to find the name of the street they were on. They had run a block or two from the building they had responded to. “Sixth and Jackson, officer down.”

Walker was sitting on the end of a medical unit. The Medical Personal checked his head and asked him several questions, mostly were simple for Walker to answer as he held an ice pack on the back of his head. Though there were a few scrapes on his forehead and one medic tried to swab the minor wound with a cotton wab, but Walker protested and insisted he was alright on his own. His eyes caught his partner.

"That was....something unexpected." He said disappointedly, pulling the ice pack from his head and hands it over to the medic. "I said I'm fine." He said as he saw the cotton wab reaching for his small cut. "So, we have a suspect. Suko Kurosaki." He said in a calm tone. "Once we get a search warrant signed by a judge, we'll have a team ready to move." With a relaxed sigh and leans back a little. "Suko must've used something to pull me by the neck when I hit that dumpster." He rubbed the back of his neck, massaging his aching muscles. "I never had a girl take me out like that before." Then he started to chuckle.

Suko managed to reach one of the safe houses for vampires. She had her own room, a more deluxe version. Standing in the bathroom, wiping the blood from her neck and her chest and listened to the sound of the faucet running.

Wearing only her black tight pants, and black sports bra with a old Jade necklace made from her country. She sighed as she finished clearing the blood off of her body. Walking into the living room, she sat on a couch and picked up a wallet on the small table, sitting next to the couch.

Unfolding the bill fold, she finds several cash bills, a credit card, a few pictures and a driver's license. "Laurel Kingsley." She read the name softly as she examined the card. "Detective Kingsley." Touching the surface of the ID Card, and noticed the shiny badge. She tapped the card on her lip a few times before standing up to dress herself and locate the home address. In her mind, she had to admit. She liked the smell of the woman's hair, and when her eyes had met with hers, she couldn't look away.

Suko had to meet the woman again. Though she waited for the sun to set as she felt the strange anomoly from her necklace had begun to fade away. The necklace only granted her safe passege from sunlight for a limited amount of time, but recharges during a full moon.

A coffin laid in the next room, it was big and comfy for Suko's standards. Walking over to the coffin and lays down, she pulled the lid over herself and shut herself inside. Falling asleep rather immediatly for it has been a long day for her.

“That is if we can get a warrant.” Laurel said, standing beside the medical unit. A medic had just got done questioning her if she had any injuries. It had taken a while to explain that Suko hadn't really attacked her given what she had done to Walker. “Right now we only have you and I identifying her. We need to find some witnesses that can ID her or better yet video footage.” Laurel said, looking over to her partner seeing a large knot on his head where the ice pack had been.

“Detective, I really must urge that you go to the hospital. You could have a concussion.” The medic said, looking over to Laurel for some help. At first she shrugged she barely knew Walker and didn't know if she would be able to talk him into it.

“He has a point.” Laurel said, “Best to go get your head looked at. I'll canvas around here and see if I can find any witnesses or video footage.” She didn't wait for a answer instead just walked away from the medical unit. She was still a little dazed from her encounter with Suko and found it hard to shrug off the other woman. There was just something about that woman other than her being able to leap across a city street or throw a grown man.

She made her way back to the building that Suko had jumped to and started looking around. The building didn't have any security cameras and there weren't a lot of people out. That wasn't uncommon in these neighborhoods people didn't like talking to the police. It would be difficult to find any witnesses. Her best bet was to look for cameras. Across the street she noticed a bodega with a couple cameras out front. One was pointing toward the door to the bodega while the other was point across the street. Laurel made her way across the street and stood under the camera trying to gauge what it saw. It looked to be just the right angle to catch the door Suko had exited out of.

Laurel entered the bodega looking around for a clerk, she found a young Hispanic girl at the counter looking to be just barely out of high school. She walked over to the counter and addressed the girl who was texting away on her cell phone, “I'm Detective Kingsley, is the manager here? I would like to see if I can get a look at the footage from one of your camera.” Laurel said, reaching into her pocket to show her badge but was surprised when it wasn't there.

The girl gave Laurel a dirty look barely looking up from her phone, “I'm not give you anything without a warrant. Hell, how do I know you are even a cop” The girl said.

Laurel thought this was a fine time to lose her wallet wondering if maybe it had fallen out in Walker's car or perhaps while she was running after Suko. If it was the latter it no doubt was gone. “I haven't got my badge on me. It's been a long day. If you call the precinct and give them my badge number 24601 they will confirm my identity.”

“Not going to waste my time. I ain't no snitch.” The girl said, looking back at her phone and ignoring Laurel.

Laurel let out a sigh thinking she wasn't going to get anywhere with this girl. Without a warrant like the girl said, she couldn't force her to give up the footage. All she could do was ask and when told no leave. Maybe she might be able to get a warrant but she doubted it. She started walking to the door when the back store room door opened and a middle age man walked out carrying several cases of beer. He set them down on the counter, “Maria go stock these in the cold case.” He said, then turned to Laurel. “Detective Kingsley?” He asked.

She stopped at the door when she heard her name but didn't recognize the voice. When she turned around she noticed it was a man she had met before. Eduardo Lopez, he had owned a bodega near the station and often helped provide information to her. With his help she had been able to take down a number of drug dealers. She hadn't seem him in a long time as almost a year ago his store had been vandalized and shut down. He must have moved over here after that. “Eduardo. It's good to see you.”

“Aye you too detective. Can I help you with anything?” He asked.

“I'm investigating a incident across the street and was wondering if your cameras caught anything.” Laurel said.

“Give me a minute and I'll make you a copy.” Eduardo said, disappearing into the back then coming out a few minutes later with a disk.

Laurel thanked him and then left the store taking the subway back to her apartment. She lived in a nice area of the borough in an apartment that cost far more that she should be able to afford on a detective's salary. Her mother refused to let her live in the ghetto and paid for the apartment. Laurel had argued with her at first that she was fine living in a place she could afford but she had also learned long ago there were just something not worth arguing over with her mother. On the way home Laurel had started calling her banks to cancel all her cards just in case she lost her wallet while chasing Suko. It would be a pain but it was better than having her accounts emptied. The worst part would be having to explain to her captain what happened to her badge and going to the DMV to get a new license.

Once she made it back to her apartment she walked inside dropping her coat and shoulder hostler on the table. There was a blinking light on her answering machine so she walked over to it hitting the button. “Laurel, hi honey it's mom. Just calling to see how my lovely daughter was. Oh and I wanted to see if you would be able to come to brunch tomorrow at the club. Lindsey's daughter is back from her studies in Europe. You remember Stacy right? Anyway I thought you two might hit it off.” The machine cut off thankfully since knowing her mother she would keep on rambling if it didn't. Laurel let out a groan, since coming out to her family after college they had been very excepting of it but her mother seemed to always be trying to hook her up. She had made the mistake of letting her mother set up a few blind dates that had all gone horribly wrong.

She really should call her mother back but after the day she had she really didn't feel like dealing with the would be match maker. Instead she sat down at her desk booting her computer up and sticking the disk Eduardo had given her into it. She spent several minutes queuing the video up to the right time that Suko had come out of the building. Eduardo had spent some money on the camera system, the images were nice and clear. She was even able to zoom in pretty far without distorting the image. Finally she had it at just the right time and slowed it down to watch. She could see the door to the building open but when the figure exited the building it was blurry. Laurel wound it back a few times to watch again but each time only the figure exiting the building was blurry. It didn't make any sense but then again most everything that happen today didn't.

Suko awoke as her alarm had set off. Pushing the lid up slowly as she moaned. Barely getting out of the coffin. She looked at the time. It was becoming night once more. Her tired eyes looked around and spotted the ID and many other items with the bill fold on a table top nearby. Rubbing her eye, she finally gets the courage to get up and move. Walking over to the table top, she picked up the ID and stared at the woman's face. A smile appeared on her own while gazing at the ID. Her hand moves to pick up the rest and place the items back in the bill fold. Tucking the wallet in her jacket, she moved her neck around and felt the bones popping.

It took her several hours to arrive to the detective's home. Finding an exquisite apartment that seemed to be more costy for a police officer. She examined the building to find an entrance. But her cell phone ringed and she answered it quickly. "Yeah?" Her usual answer.

"Please tell me, the cops didn't ID you and you managed to escape." A woman's voice answered. "I saw the news, you killed the eye witness, but the police reported they had seen a asian woman fleeing the scene."

"Don't worry, I got this under control." She said with a calm tone as she continued looking at the apartment. "I'll handle the police, you handle the PR as usual." Before the woman could say anything, Suko quickly pressed the hang up button and turning the volume to a silent.

Spotting a way in, Suko kneels down and jumps up from the ground below and clings on to the edge of the building and repeated the motion towards the roof. Once she was able to reach the top, she located a door and noticed it was propped open. She figured somebody must have been smoking outside instead of inside.

She looked at the ID again to find the apartment number. She quickly moves and quietly enters the buiilding.

She found the apartment room and looked around. She looked at the door knob and scoffed. Taking a pin out of her pocket and started picking the lock. The door clicks and opens slowly. She looked around inside and noticed a jacket and holster on a table nearbly. She takes the gun still holstered and takes it apart. She could hear someone in the next room, which had to be the officer.

Before making her entrance, she looked around the room and walked around. She touched underneath each table and felt something like a holster. Pulling another firearm and another and another. She smiled as she held the weapons in her hand. She also noticed the certificates hanging on the walls and pictures of families.

Looking in the direction of the room where the noise was coming from. She started walking slowly to an open door and noticed the woman staring at a screen. The screen showed a footage of her leaving the building. She entered the room quietly and leans again'st the wall and crossed her legs. "You know for a cop, you got a lot of guns." She said, breaking the silence. She waited for the woman to notice the guns in her hand as each one was taken apart.

She dropped the pieces on the ground and then folded her arms. "Still looking for me are ya?" She asked casually. Pulling the bill fold from her pocket and the badge, tossing the items to the woman. "Well...here I am."

She froze at the sound of Suko's voice, she hadn't even heard anyone enter the apartment. Laurel wished she hadn't taken her holster off but she hadn't expected to be blindsided in her own apartment. She turned to look at the other woman her eyes glancing to the sofa. There was another pistol wedged between the wall and sofa but she didn't think she would be able to reach it before the Asian woman. Especially since Suko seemed to move so fast. “Occupational hazard.” Laurel said, commenting about the guns that Suko had found, a little more unnerved that she had been able to move around and find them without being noticed.

When the wallet was tossed at her she caught it easily with one hand and chuckled a little. She shouldn't be impressed that Suko had been able to steal her wallet but she was. “You know I could charge you for larceny plus breaking and entering but I think that charge pales compared to murder.” Laurel stood from the desk dropping her wallet on it and letting the video continue to play on the computer, it was useless anyway. She walked toward Suko thinking she really should go for the gun but didn't. Not really knowing what was coming over her she walked closer until she was right in front of Suko staring at her face and thinking the other woman was truly beautiful. She had a sort of exotic beauty to her. In a move that surprised her as much as it must have surprised Suko she grabbed the other woman's wrists and pinned them to the wall beside her head. Laurel then pushed her own body against Suko's trapping her against the wall. She knew that Suko had the strength to throw her across the room she had seen her do that to Walker, but it didn't stop her. Leaning her head close into her neck and taking a deep breath she said her voice coming out a little sultry, “I'm going to have to place you under arrest.” Once again this close to Suko she could smell that wonderful rich wine like smell.

Suko watched the other woman slowly approached her as she stated about the murder scene. Smiling about the small threats, she continued watching her and allowed the woman to pin her on the wall. Suko felt a sudden feeling deep in her nerves, possibly fear? Though it wasn't that. She breathed heavily as the woman pushed her body again'st hers. Allowing the woman move closer and smell her neck. Suko smiled and leaned in closer to the woman as well. Her nose smelled the exotic blood flowing in her neck vein. Her fangs slowly revealed, and ready to pierce the skin. Suko controlled the urge and hid her fangs as she leans back.

"You want to arrest me?" She asked curiously and softly. Pulling her arms down and wrapped around the woman's waist. She lifted her up while staring at her beauty. "Then I guess your gonna have to." She carried the woman to her bedroom and shut the door behind her.

The next morning. Suko stood by the window wearing only her garments. Watching the sky as the clouds were covered in red. She had a window propped open as she smoked a cigarette and blow it out the window. She may be a killer, but she would like to think she was a polite one. Her hair in a neat knot, her make up still fixed. With one hand on the cigarette, and the other touching the medallion around her neck. She was thinking about her next step.

"There is a reason why I was there...when you saw me in that apartment." She spoke softly over her shoulder. "I was there making sure loose ends were no longer needed." Inhaling deeply and exhales slowly with the smoke blowing out the window. "There are several reasons actually why I was there, and most of them I can't share with you." Flicking the cigarette out of the window then folded her arms, "And coming here compromised that, but I don't care." She watched as the sun continued raising up slowly. Stepping aside from the window and into the dark shade. She sighs as the sun shined into the apartment. "Suppose you don't have an umberalla?" She asked with a smile still on her face.

She hadn't really remembered drifting off to sleep the night before, the last thing she had really recalled was cuddling with Suko. Laurel rolled over on the bed realizing that she was in it alone. She didn't open her eyes but sighed. It shouldn't have been a surprise to her that she would wake up alone. Suko was a wanted criminal. She wouldn't wait around in the apartment of a detective charged with arresting her, waiting for the passions of the night before to wear off and Laurel to come to her senses. She opened eyes feeling a breeze from the window. Laurel usually didn't sleep with the window open and had not remembered opening it last night.

It did surprised her to see Suko standing there in her undergarments smoking a cigarette. Laurel had picked up the habit in high school but had quit when she had started running in college. Daniel had smoked but he never did around her always kind enough to go somewhere else. Laurel had told him it didn't bother her but he still insisted. Strangely the first thought that popped in her head was that she had torn Suko's panties last night. A closer look told Laurel that Suko was wearing a pair of her panties. It would seem the other woman had gone through her drawers while she slept, making her wonder how long Suko had been awake. She looked amazing not a hair out of place and not a smudge in her make up. No one had the right to look that good in the morning. Laurel no doubt had the wild look people had after sex and sleep. “In the hall closet but the forecast doesn't call for rain.” Laurel said, pulling a sheet from the bed to her and covering up as she commented on Suko's request for an umbrella.

Suko talked so causally about killing a man, leading Laurel to believe it wasn't Suko's first time. Her initial thoughts led to Suko being part of some kind of organized crime syndicate. Given her Asian heritage she figured the Yakuza or Triad. Laurel didn't really know much about them, she had never really worked with the organized crime division. “Loose ends, things that had to be taken care of. What are you in the Yakuza or something?” Laurel asked, figuring the other woman wouldn't answer honestly but then again she had pretty much just admitted to committing murder. Suko was a puzzle of a woman that Laurel couldn't figure out. Everything about her just confused Laurel, she had to admit she had been attracted to her from the beginning but usually she had more common sense than to get involved in a suspect. But with Suko everything felt so right and last night had been amazing. “Why did you come here?”

Suko checked the closest the woman mentioned. Checking to find a blue colored umberalla sitting on a box. Picking up the box and examining the item. She smirked when she was asked if she was part of a mob. Asking if she was associated with Yakuza or Triads. Tapping the tip of the umbrella on her hand, she walked over to a nearby dresser. She chuckled as she picked up her jacket and sets it down on the dresser. Checking her inside pocket, she finds a small container and lifted the lid up.

Dipping two fingers in a white cream and tapped the cream on her face. Spreading the cream over her face, nose and lips. She continued spreading more of the cream on her neck and ears. "I'm not a mob boss." She said softly as she continued to spread the cream around her neck area. "I am a boss though." She looked over her shoulder. "Of a club." She picked up the lid and closed the container. Touching her skin, checking if she covered most of her neck and face.

Picking up her clothes and dressing herself. She looked at the woman. "I was curious about you." After putting her tight black pants on, she sits on the bed next to the woman. "Your interesting." She admitted with a smile on her face. She leans forward and pressed her lips on hers. Pulling back after kissing the woman. She kept that smile on her face as she put her jacket on and pushed her feet in her boots. "If you really want to know...what I am...come find me at the club." Reaching for the umbrella and headed for the door, she gives a small wave before leaving the apartment.

At the station, Walker sat in his chair. Suit still neat as he pressed a ice over his face. Moaning after his head still felt a sudden rush. "Can't believe a small woman tossed me like a fucking bean bag." He pulled the ice bag away from his face. "How the hell did she took your gun apart so fast?" He asked Laurel with a curious look.

Sitting at her desk Laurel stared at her computer checking her e-mail but she wasn't actually reading it. She had the same message up for the last twenty minutes and still had no idea what it said. This morning she had been late, after Suko left Laurel had lost track of time trying to figure everything out. By the time she realized what time it was she had been late. Laurel looked over to Walker seeing him with the ice pack. The doctors had cleared him for work but he still had a fair amount of bruising. She didn't hear his question at first still trying to work everything out. She should have reported that she met with Suko last night but she hadn't. How could she? Even if she omitted that they had slept together. What reasoning could she come up with for not arresting her?

“I don't know. There are so many strange things about that woman that don't make sense.” Laurel said, though she was thinking more about the feelings she had than how fast Suko moved or how strong she was. She tried to push the memories of Suko's lips on her skin from her mind and get back to the present and their assignment to arrest Suko. “Where do we go from here? Our only lead is dead and I wasn't able to find anything yesterday.”

"Well." He sits up and cleared his throat. Putting the ice bag aside on another desk next to him. He looked at the woman, studying her carefully. "I tried talking to the women in the apartment where Suko jumped into...somehow." He sighs slowly. "All I kept hearing was, 'El Diablo' and prayed every time I asked about her." He leans back in the chair. "We can go and find her at the Club and bring her in for questioning?" He looked at the folder that was placed on Laurel's desk.

"And nothing much to go on for the witness." He reached for the autospy report and showed the pictures of the victim. "Same thing as the others, blood drained extremely, two punctured marks on the neck." He tossed the report back on the desk and sighs rather roughly. "I think we should go in undercover at the Club." He eyes looked up, "Get Suko to talk about these death's." He tilted his head. "What do you think?" He asked.

At the Club...

Suko sat behind her desk, wearing a black dress, which revealed almost her entire body. Her hair done by the Club's private hair stylist. Watching the security camera's as she put a cigarette on her lips. Inhaling deeply and released slowly. She mostly kept her eyes on the entrance of the Club. The Bouncer and another stood there, watching the line and allowed people in for a certain time. Then she heard the door to her office open.

Turning her seat around, she smiled as the same woman she talked to before walked towards her. "Did you take care of those cops?" The blonde questioned. Suko only smiled at the question. "You didn't."

"Let's just say...I invited someone here." She smoked her cigarette and puffs out the smoke.

"You...invited...someone...here?" The blonde tilted her shades down, meeting her eye to eye. "Have you gone completely mad?" There was a silence. "You have." The blonde tossed a folder on Suko's desk. "We found him by the way." She took a seat and sat down. "He is...very hard to track."

Suko takes the folder while holding the cigarette in her mouth. Turning the seat around as she slowly opened the folder, but her eyes kept looking up to the screen. "It's always hard to find someone." Suko remarked.

“We don’t have enough to bring her in for questioning. Only the two of us saw her we have no witnesses that saw anything other than the devil. And do you really feel like being in the field?” Laurel said, thinking about Walker’s suggestions. He suggested going undercover in the club but Laurel had a feeling that wouldn’t really work. Suko might not have gotten a good look at Walker but she knew Laurel quite well after what they had done last night. “There is a chance she would recognize us too.” Laurel said.

She wanted to go check the club out but wasn’t sure about bringing Walker with her. When she met up with Suko, the other no doubt would mention what they had done last night and Laurel still hadn’t figured out how to tell her partner that she had slept with their prime suspect. She knew she couldn’t come up with a logical reason for doing that. Despite how amazing it had been Laurel knew she shouldn’t have done it. This was something that could easily ruin her career and she couldn’t think of a single thing to get her out of this mess. “Maybe we should case the apartment again, see if we can find someone that recognized her.”

They spent the day knocking on doors to see if anyone remembered seeing anything. There was a large Hispanic population in the building so they received quite a few stories about El Diablo. All and all they came up with nothing. At the end of the day they both went their separate ways with Laurel heading back to her apartment. She currently was sitting on her bed thinking about what to do. The sheets hadn’t been made up yet and the room had a lingering smell of Suko in it. On the floor was both of their torn garments. Laurel thought about Walker’s suggestions to go to the club which drew her back to Suko’s invitation. She knew she shouldn’t go alone but lately her better judgment had been ignored.

An hour and an half later Laurel was getting out of an Uber in front of the Midnight Club. She was wearing a white pants suit (https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/b9/35/32/b935322a04452447bc9fce2868b70bb2.jpg) that she had spent most of the hour and half picking out. In her bedroom half her closet was on the floor with each garment not being the right choice. Why she was trying so hard to impress Suko was a mystery to her. She felt like a teenage girl going out on her first date. Then again nothing she had been doing made any sense. It felt like ever since she had inhaled Suko’s scent in that alley she was in a drunk stupor. The white outfit was an interesting choice considering every time she had seen Suko she had been wearing all black, the white would stand in contrast to her. Laurel walked up to the front door seeing the large bouncer standing there blocking the door. As she neared she looked at him seeming unphased, “I believe Kurosaki is expecting me.” Laurel said.

The Bouncer stood there, looking up and down at her body before turning to his partner standing behind him. His partner was almost the same size as him, but a little smaller. The Bouncer checked the list, and then looked at his partner, giving him a nod. Stepping aside for the woman to enter, the second lead her.

Walking inside, and through the hallway, the music was muffled, but was getting louder and louder as they were getting closer. The Bouncer opened the door and the music became loud and clear. The people inside danced to the rave music, sweating but didn't care.

The Bouncer continued leading Laurel towards the backroom where he opened another door. Inside the room, was the VIP Member Access only. There were several people inside, all were drinking 'red wine' and enjoyed their moments with others. As the two walked inside, red eyes watched Laurel as she walked past them. One stood up, a young girl, very pretty. She spoke to the Bouncer in a language which Laurel wouldn't understand. The Bouncer shook his head, and replied back, with Kurosaki's name attached. The young girl expressing from smiling turned pale as she stepped away and sat back down with her friend.

The Bouncer lead Laurel to a black door with a guard standing by it. The man was tall, long black hair and a long goatee. His shades hid his eyes as he watched the two. He raised up his hand and spoke in the same language as before. The Bouncer replied again with Kurosaki's name attached. The guard sighs as his wrist reached to his mouth and spoke softly then touched his ear. After a moment, the guard nodded and opened the door. The Bouncer stepped aside and waited for the woman to enter.

The Blonde lady remained where she sit as Suko turned her seat around and smiled. "Maybe we'll talk about this later?" She folded the file and placed it inside of her desk.

The Blonde sighs and stands up and looked at the woman, returning her gaze back to Suko. "Later is it then." The Blonde puts her shades back on and walked towards the exit, her slowly walked past Laurel and gives her a glance and takes her leave.

Suko smiled as she leans back and looked at the woman standing there. "You look amazing in white." She commented about her clothing. She leans forward and pressed a button on her desk. "Tommy, can you bring me a glass of 'Red Wine' and a regular glass of red wine for our guest?"

"Yes ma'am." The voice replied.

Suko sighs and looked at her paper work before turning her eyes to Laurel. Standing up from her seat, she walked around her desk and leans in front of it. Looking at the woman. "So, you really did come." Keeping her hands on the desk for a better balance, she kept her eyes on the woman standing before her. "So...tell me." She licked her teeth from the inside and tilted her head. "Why did you come?"

As they walked Laurel took in the sights of the club, it was similar to other clubs she had been in. Aside from the strange language everyone was speaking. She couldn't place what language they were speaking, it was unlike anything she had heard before. Not that Laurel was knowledgeable in many languages, she had taken Spanish in high school and then German in college but that was it. When she was finally inside Suko's office she was passed by a blonde woman who seemed to be glaring at her. After she left Suko instructed someone on the other side of her phone to bring them wine. “I prefer white.” Laurel said, moving closer to Suko so close that she was pushed back against the desk.

She rested her hands on both sides of the the desk pinning Suko between them. “Why am I here? I believe the question should be why did you invite me here? We both know you killed that man and who knows how many more. It is only a matter of time before I have proof. So why bring me here to your lair where I may just find that proof? You aren't going to kill me, if you were going to you would have done that last night but that's not what happened now was it?”

She leaned in again and brushed her hand against Suko's cheek. “What is it then? Are we playing a game of cat and mouse? To be honest I am not sure which of us is the cat and which is the mouse. Everyone I have interviewed about you says you are El Diablo, the devil and warned me away from you. So tell me is it true am I dancing with the devil?”

Suko reached for the button once more while staring at the woman. "Tommy, change the regular red wine to regular white wine." The disconnects the call. "Interesting." She smiled at the touch of the woman as she caressed her cheek. "Your right, if I wanted to kill you...I would." She leans closer to the taller woman. "But I haven't, have I?" She leaned her head back and laughed. "'El Diablo.'" She mimic the words. "Funny, I am Japanese and yet I have been officially labeled as 'El Diablo' by a Hispanic group." She sighs then hears the door open.

It was her assistant with the beverages. Suko gently moved Laurel to the side and walked over to the man. Grabbing the drinks and then listened to her assistant in that strange language once more. "Her?" She looked over her shoulder and smiled, then turned her attention back to the man. "Don't worry about her, she is my guest." Giving a nod to dismiss him, the man walked out of the room without another word.

She walked back over to Laurel and gives her the glass of white wine. Taking a small sip of hers, and sighs softly at the beverage. "Do you believe in monsters?" She asked softly. "Monsters that lurk in the darkness and closest when your parent's tell you about the boogyman living underneath your bed?" She walked around her desk, "Human's created these tales just to keep their children tucked and safe in their beds when they really gave the children nightmares." She placed the glass on her desk and looked at the camera's on the walls. "Nightmares that eventually became real and soon became stories." Folding her arms, she watched the main entrance and noticed a man in a hoodie passed on a white bag to the Bouncer, whom allowed the man in.

Her phone went off and she answered. "Yeah?" She said and listened. "Bring him to the main office, I have something to show my guest." She turned and hangs up the phone and looked at Laurel. "You wonder why I invited you here. You have questions you want answers to." She smiled and walked around her desk to the woman. "Can I ask you another question." She wondered. "Do you fear death?" She stopped a few inches away from the woman, "Or do you fear immortality?"

She heard her door open and the same man entered the room. This man had a clean shave and curly hair. He was skinny and his clothing was odd. He had blue jeans, a brown jacket and a grey hoodie underneath and worn out white shoes. Tommy was behind the man with his hands folded. Suko walked around back to her desk and pulled the drawer and reached for the folder. "Tommy, can you be a dear and take this to my personal limo." She walked over to the entrance and handed the folder to Tommy, whom nodded and left the room. Suko smiled at the man and placed her hand on his shoulder and arm. "And you my new friend, I believe have a nice gift for me?" She asked casually and guided him to a nearby chair.

"Uh...gift?" He asked nervouslly and looked at Laurel. Suko looked at Laurel and pointed at her own chair behind the desk. Suggesting her to sit. "Yeah, you know. Drugs. Dope. Sugar." Suko turned her attention to the man.

The man laughed nervouslly and looked at Suko. "Uh, depends...whatcha want?"

Suko walked closer to the man and touched the side of his face. "So you do have something good?" She asked again.

"Hey...look lady, if you want the good stuff, I have it. But it'll cost you." The man leans back as he felt the cold touch. "The fuck?" His started to panic.

Suko turned her head, looking at Laurel. Her smile still on her face. "This is what monsters do." She said, revealing her fangs and quickly pierced the man's neck. The man screamed as he tried to push Suko off, but did not have the strenght. His feet squirmed as so did his body. But in seconds the man motion started to slow and cease. His breathing labored as his blood drained rather quickly. His arms laid out and his body lifeless. Suko pulled away, breathing heavily as she licked the blood off of her lips.

The doors opened and the guards entered with a servant behind. The servant carried a trey with two small hand towels and a bowl of water. The servant stood by the chairs and he waited for Suko. The guards however grabbed the man and dragged his body out of the office. "Make sure you grab the drugs and money from him before you throw him out." Suko said with her eyes rolled. "Last time you two didn't do that, we lost the good stuff." Walking over to the servant and reached for one of the small towels and dipped it in the water and started cleaning the blood off of her. "Hope I didn't scare you." Suko said softly as she started wiping the blood off.

Sipping on her drink Laurel was impressed she had spent enough time in country clubs and yacht clubs to know a good wine. Suko was sparing no expense for her. There was more of that strange language, Laurel would have to ask her about it when she got a chance but she doubted Suko would tell her the truth. “I believe in monsters I am an NYPD detective I am around the worse of the worse every day. As for things that go bump in the night. Ghost stories nothing more.” Laurel said, sipping her wine as she looked over to the video monitor seeing the exchange. She had been right about the drug activity here. Though now that she had seen it she wondered if Suko would let her leave.

Suko instructed her man to bring the drug dealer to the office, puzzling Laurel even more. She continued to talk about the supernatural, “I don’t fear death but I don’t welcome it either. As for immortality it doesn’t exist.” Laurel said, taking another drink of her wine. She shouldn’t be drinking it thinking it was best to keep a clear head while in Suko’s office, but once again she ignored her better judgment and kept drinking.

Laurel took the offered seat while waiting for the drug dealer, she was feeling a little light headed and wondered if they had put something in the wine or if she had just been drinking it too fast. Suko and the man talked about buying drugs right in front of her. She thought it funny if the man knew she was a cop he wouldn’t be this open with the deal. Laurel jumped to her feet sobering up quickly when Suko lunged at the man biting his neck. Was the woman nuts? She thought Suko had lost it but then saw the bright red blood spray from his neck some of it hitting her white suit. There was no way a human’s teeth could pierce deep enough to hit an artery. He struggled with her a while but eventually feel to the ground dead. “What the fuck?” Laurel shouted reaching into the back of her waistband pulling out her gun. It had shocked her that they didn’t search her coming into the club but she was glad they hadn’t.

She stood there with her gun aimed at Suko watching in shock as the bouncers removed the body seeming like this was a normal thing for them. Then again with all the reports Walker had shown her about the similar murders perhaps it was a normal thing for them. Suko turned back to Laurel wiping blood from her face and that was when Laurel finally came to her senses and open fire on Suko aiming two at the chest and one at the head. The first shot hit Suko right in the chest but it didn’t seem to slow the woman down.

Hearing gun fire shots in her officer, Suko felt the first bullet hit her chest, and then a second. But the third shot hit her head and forced her to fall on the floor. The servant remained still while holding the trey. Though he flinched, but didn't cower or hid. She laid there, motionless for a moment.

In seconds, she stood up and moaned in pain. "Ow." She hissed as she pulled the bullet betwen her forehead. Dropping the bullet on the ground, she picked the other two out. "I may be immortal, but I can still feel pain." She tossed the metal rounds on the ground and looked at Laurel. "Hey, it's okay." She raised her hands up. "I understand your frightened." Her fangs still hanged out, but Suko licked her teeth and her fangs disappeared. Walking slowly to Laurel with her hands still up. More shots fired and hit Suko. She continued walking towards the woman and her hand reaches over to the gun. Her hand holding onto the barrel and lowered her weapon. "Now I have your attention..." Taking the gun out of her hand and placed it on her desk. "...monsters do exist." She smiled. "I don't know about ghosts, I never ran into a ghost yet."

She turned around and stood behind her desk and checked her phone for any messages. There was one, but she didn't bother checking it. Her head looking over her shoulder, staring at the frightened woman. "Come, I like to show you something." She smiled and takes the gun, but handed over to the detective. The guards stood at the door and followed the two to a limo waiting in the back of the building. Getting inside, Suko told the driver to go. The limo then moved.

Suko sat on the left side and looked out the window through the tint. "I wasn't born a monster. I became one." She spoke softly. "I was born in 1203, to a simple family in Japan." She looked at Laurel and smiled, but faded. "I loved my family, and I was soon to be wed when I turned 17." She sighs and crossed her legs. "But that changed when I met a stranger on my way home one night. He wore odd clothing, and spoke in a odd manner. I didn't understood him at the time, but sometimes I think I know what he said." She touched the necklace around her neck. "He grabbed me by the neck and pierced his teeth into my flesh. I lost a lot of blood, but was saved by a fisherman. My family took me home, and I feel like I was dying. Burning on the inside, out of breath. I couldn't feel anything. I woke up several days later to see my father." She paused for a moment. "I remember grabbing him by arm, and ripped in his neck with my teeth. I did the same to my mother....and soon I did the same to the entire village." There was sadness in her face. "Everyone except for my sister." She sighs. "She was the one who stopped me somehow. Like I had my fill after slaughtering an entire village. I even killed the samurai who I was suppose to be married to."

Her eyes turned to the woman. "Before you ask. I'm over 800 years old." She smirked. "Don't even think about calling me an old lady." Her eyes switched to her gun in her hand. "It's okay, I am not going to kill you." She brushed her chest where the bullets had hit. "But you do owe me a new dress." She noticed a hole on her black dress and blood around it. "I liked this dress."

Laurel was in a state of shock and let Suko guide her where ever she wanted. She didn’t even realize it as they left office and the building. The car had been going for several miles before she noticed they were moving. Suko talked about being born in Japan over eight hundred years ago and being a monster. Laurel just sat there staring blankly ahead. She had no idea what was going on, she still felt dizzy from the wine. Looking down at her weapon, a Glock 26 (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/e2/Glock_26_%286971790359%29.jpg/800px-Glock_26_%286971790359%29.jpg) it wasn’t her normal duty weapon but one that was better for a concealed carry. It had worked too Suko’s guards hadn’t seen it or more likely they had and didn’t care. She had unloaded a full ten round magazine on Suko knowing at least five of them had made contact.

Yet somehow she was sitting next to the Asian woman who seemed unharmed. How was that possible? Anyone hit that many times at that distance would be dead. It was impossible for her to be fine. They must have drugged her drink. That was the only way this made sense. Suko couldn’t be an eight hundred year old immortal. The way she had ripped that man’s throat out with her teeth couldn’t have been real.

Laurel just shook her head then dropped the gun on the floor board of the vehicle not even sure if she had actually fired it or not despite slide being locked back after the last round was fired. “What did you drug me with?” Laurel asked, not believing anything Suko had told her or what she was seeing. She was under the influence of something that was the only explanation.

Suko looked at the gun on the floor, leaning forward and reached for the firearm. She picked it up and examined it. With a sigh as she pulled the slide and sees a empty shell jammed in the chamber. "You gotta keep your guns clean." She commented as she pressed the release button and pulled the clip out. She placed the clip on the refreshment stand. Examing the gun a little more and touched the surface. "And you really have a lot of guns." She chuckled.

She didn't smile when she was asked if she drugged Laurel or not. Looking at her with her eyes. Suko leans closer to Laurel. "Your not drugged." She replied. "Your just a very lightweight." She joked as she placed the gun on the stand and opens the fridge. Pulling out a bottle of champagne, she unwrapped the paper and pulled the cork with her hand. "Here." She reached for a glass cup and poured the beverage, handing the glass to Laurel.

After placing the bottle in a bucket of ice, and closing the fridge. She remained sitting with her legs crossed and then her eyes stared at her wrist. There was a scar over where her veins was. She thought for a moment about something. Looking at Laurel, she scoots over closer to the woman. "I'm not gonna hurt you." She remarked as she took her hand. "But tell me." Suko could tell Laurel was getting more intoxicated. She chuckled as she noticed. "You lightweights are something." She sighs. "Wish I can get drunk."

Why she took the handed glass of champagne Laurel didn't know. She already thought Suko was drugging her so why would she take another drink from her? Suko said she wasn't drugging her and she wouldn't hurt her, that it just was the affect of the alcohol on her. True Laurel wasn't much of a drinker. Her roommate in college always joked that Laurel was a cheap date as you really only had to buy her one drink. The immortal woman caught onto it as well and comment on her being a lightweight. Despite everything Laurel had seen tonight she really did believe that Suko didn't have any intentions of hurting her. She wasn't sure what it was she just felt like she could trust her.

After she took Laurel's hand she looked to the glass in her hand then quickly downed all of the drink making a odd face as champagne wasn't a drink that you drunk quickly. It was meant to be slowly sipped not chugged. Laurel could feel it hitting her right away her head swimming with the liquor. She set the empty glass on the table and threaded her fingers through Suko's fingers before she crawled into Suko's lap straddling her as she leaned in forward and pressed her lips to Suko's neck trailing it with kisses. Her recent actions let onto another little known fact about her when she was drunk, Laurel became very amorous. By now Laurel seemed to have completely lost control of everything, the combination of being drunk and witnessing the impossible more than she could handle so she just let go of everything. She should be terrified of Suko not sitting in her lap pressing kisses to her. Laurel had just watched her rip a man's throat out with her teeth. Yet she was beyond caring at this point wanting only to focus on the beautiful woman before her not what Suko had done. Or how she should be feeling right now.

The next morning. Suko was outside, sitting on a chair admiring the view from her yacht. She had 'Red Wine' in a glass sitting next to her and took upon reading the daily news. Reading about recent events, she sighs as she tossed the newspaper on the table. She looked up to the dark and cloudy skies. Thankfully which covered the sun from shedding any light upon her. A storm was coming. But it didn't matter to Suko as she touched her necklace. Looking up, she could feel the cool gentle breeze touching her skin. Her hair loose and waved in the air, wearing only a bathrobe and dark shades.

Her thoughts had lead elsewhere when she looked at the folder on the table. Reaching for it once more to examine the paperwork. She flipped through the pages set inside. Discovering numerous amount of information that had led to one person. Her next step of taking action had to treaded carefully.

She turned to look at the glass door where her bedroom was. Where Laurel was resting. She placed a couple of aspirin pills and a large glass of water on the nightstand next to the bed. She figured if Laurel wakes up, it would be a nasty hangover. But for Suko, she didn't feel a thing after Laurel let her feed on her when they were in the limo. Suko looked at the empty glass next to hers. Then looked at her wrist and sighs softly. Suko figured Laurel had questions for her, real questions that needed to be answered. She was ready.

Again she woke alone though this time it was in a very unfamiliar bed. Laurel wasn't really sure where she was and looked around. The room was luxurious and spacious. She had vague memories of the night before but everything was still a bit hazy and it had been so weird she wasn't sure what was real and what wasn't. Sitting up on the bed she felt a little dizzy the hung over catching up to her. She noticed a glass of water on the night stand along with a few aspirin. Thankful of them she picked the aspirin up and swallowed them with about half the glass of water. On the end of the bed she found a bath robe and changed into it. She didn't know where her clothes were but figured they had been thrown out as there was no way of getting that much blood out of them.

Which made her wonder what really happened last night and what was part of her drunken haze. She remembered Suko killing a drug dealer and shooting her several times but wasn't sure if that actually happened. They had sex in Suko's limo, Laurel was sure of that, she was still sore from it. Suko had claimed to be a vampire and Suko had fed on her. A quick look in the mirror confirmed that Suko had indeed bitten her, right on the edge of her neck were two round puncture marks.

Under the mirror was a small table where Laurel found her gun, holster and spare magazine. She should have picked the gun up and taken it with her not knowing how Suko would be but she left it there walking out what she thought was a balcony but soon found out it was a boat deck. Suko had said something last night about going to her yacht. The were sailing along the New York coastline a few miles from it. Laurel wasn't sure where they were exactly.

Suko was sitting with back to the door but the way she tensed a little made Laurel think she knew she was there. Last night she had told Suko that she was falling in love with her. Was she really? Laurel wasn't sure but she knew Suko had an affect on her unlike anything else. She knew the other woman was dangerous but somehow also knew she wouldn't hurt her. It was bizarre. Laurel walked up behind Suko seeing the newspaper, folder and empty glass. It was a little early for wine but then Laurel didn't think that was what was in the glass. The folder intrigued her as well, Suko had it last night as well.

She leaned down next to the other woman and pressed a kiss to her cheek before sitting down across the table from her. “Good morning.” She said, as one of Suko's men brought her a tray of drinks. On it there was some coffee, tea, orange, and apple juice. She guess they weren't sure what she would want and just brought a little of everything. She thanked the man and took the coffee putting a little milk in it before taking a sip. “So about last night...”

"Best...sex...ever." Suko finished Laurel's sentence and smiled. She reaches for her cigarettes and a lighter. Taking one stick and placing it in her mouth, then lights it up. She inhaled deeply and exhales the smoke out. "And yes, it is all real." She looked at the woman while taking her shades off and placed them on the table. "I did bit you, but it was just a sample." Her normal light brown eyes slowly turned red and her fangs revealed. "I do not want to turn you one unless you really want to be one." She closed her eyes and revealed them again, her eyes normal light brown. "But having this gift?...This....curse." There was a sincerely in her voice. "It had consequences. Bad consequences." She looked up to the sky and observed the dark clouds. "Right now...if the clouds were gone, I would be burning like Kentucky fried chicken." She chuckled.

Turning her eyes towards Laurel. "Immortality does exist." She leans forward and touched her hand. "But do you really want it?" Her hand reached for the empty glass and touched the surface. "I'll give you a sample." She looked at her wrist, the same mark. Her fang pierced her skin and oozed the blood into the empty glass cup. She watched as it filled nearly to the top. "Let the sun tuch you, you burn. Let the silver touch you, you burn." She spoke softly as the blood filled up. Once she filled it up, she quickly licked her wrist, and in seconds her wound healed. But left another scar over the first.

She placed the cup in the middle of the table. "Drink this, and you have the powers of a vampire. But you will have three days. Three days to change your mind. Either you wish to be a vampire, or remain human. If you wish to remain human, well." She looked at her own cup of blood. "You have to resist the urge to feed. But the third day will be a more... challenging wit." She takes a drink of her 'Red Wine' swallowed the contents and watched Laurel. "If you don't to drink it, I understand." She showed her neck, where old scars nearly faded. "I however, didn't had a choice." Then rubbed her own neck. "Two ways to be a vampire. One by bite, but only enough to make you feel dead. And the second." She sighs and looks at the glass. "Some say this is the safest way." She chuckled.

Looking at the glass in the middle of the table Laurel pulled it closer to her but didn't pick it up. Suko was offering a lot but to be honest Laurel didn't really know what she was offering. She still have many questions for the other woman. Tracing her finger around the rim of the glass Laurel looked at Suko seeing her eyes were red again. You would normally think red eyes would be scary or unsettling but Laurel thought they made Suko look beautiful. “You say that if the sun were out now it would burn you but I saw you two days ago when I chased you across that rooftop it was sunny. How were you able to do that?” Laurel asked.

It was her first question of many that were circling around in her head. Aside from her question about daylight Laurel wondered more, Suko had drunk from her last night but both this morning and last night she had drank a liquid that was too dark and thick to be wine. She figured it must be blood, did vampires not have to drink fresh blood? That wasn't the next question she asked though, instead she asked, “Why me?”

Laurel wanted to know what was special about her for Suko to offer her. There was an attraction between them, no denying that. Laurel felt much for the vampire even if she knew Suko was trouble. She was a murder, and Laurel was a police officer. It was her job to stop people like Suko not find them fascinating or to be attracted to them. That was another factor, sleeping with Suko had been one of the most amazing experiences she had ever had. She stopped tracing her finger around the rim of the glass and dipped her index finger into the blood. It was cold as expected, Suko was always so cool to the touch it made sense that her blood was too. Laurel raised her finger up looking at the red liquid coating her finger. “Why do you offer me this?”

Suko showed the necklace to the woman, touching the Jade medallion encrypted with Japanese writing. "This amulet helped me on that day." She explained. "This little trinket has this power for me to walk during the day, but has a limit." She looked up to the sky. "It recharges during a full moon, which also means I have to wait." She lets go of the amulet and looked at Laurel.

When Laurel asked why her, she smiled again. "Because you caught my curiousity." She answered. "And...I got curious about you." She leans forward, "Then I felt something strange about you. Like you can help me, and I can help you." She leans back in her chair and sighs softly. "And I saw your past when I drank your blood last night." She added, "You reminded me of my old life." She chuckled softly. "Struggling to prove your worth."

She looked at her finger as it was covered in red. Her smile faded as she watched her finger. She couldn't think of an answer when she asked. It took her a moment to ponder a reply. "I only made this offer to one person when I discovered I can...give this gift...or curse, whatever you want to call it." Then her eyes diverted to Laurel's. "And...I don't want see you...old." She chuckled as she made the joke. She leans forward again and looked at the glass cup of her blood. "I offer you this because...I want to be with you...forever." She turned her eyes back to Laurel's. Thinking if she accepted this, she would be happy once more. "It's been a very long time since I met anyone like you Laurel." She said her name, first time in the past two days. She finally said her name to her.

“I wonder what they were thinking when you gave them this offer.” Laurel said, not sure if it had been a man or a woman. So far Suko had been very into her her but had never once mentioned that she was exclusively interested in women. Part of her wanted to know more about this person but at the same time she didn't want to know. It was a nice thought to think she had the woman all to her herself. She didn't want to hear about anyone else having Suko's heart. It would be naive to think think Suko hadn't been with anyone else given how old she was. Not to mention how experienced Suko was. Laurel certainly knew that she had been with her share of lovers and she was no where near as old as Suko.

She had to admit she was here mostly out of curiosity much like Suko was. Curiosity for the strange way Suko made her feel. Curiosity for why she felt like she couldn't get enough of her. Could they be soul mates? Laurel wasn't sure she even believed in that sort of thing, and did vampires even have souls? There was so much she didn't know about Suko. She wanted to know what the vampire had seen in her past. It was another hard thing to believe that the woman was able to do.

Here at her fingertips was the chance to experience what Suko lived with every day. Laurel's interest was definitely peaked. She brought her finger up to her lips her tongue slipping out to lick the digit. It twirled around the finger a few times licking all the blood off before sucking it in her mouth just to make sure she got it all. The blood tasted coppery, though she wasn't sure what was to be expected. It was blood. Did she think it would taste like something else? Also would just this small taste be enough? Suko wouldn't have filled an entire glass if only a drop was needed. She picked the glass up looking at it, “Three days to show me your world?” Laurel asked, as she swirled the liquid around like you did when tasting wine. “No promises.”

She then brought the glass to her lips and drank the entire thing in one swig.

Suko watched as the filled cup turned emtpy. She watched Laurel as she swallowed the red contents in one shot. Standing up from her seat, she reached for Laurel's hand and guided to the lower deck before the blood became effective. Once they were in the lower room, Suko guided Laurel to a small empty room. Which looked to be more like a cell instead of a closest. Door made from the strongest metal material with a latch that can be only locked from the outside.

"You'll have to endure the crucial pain, as you die." She said softly to the woman as she steps close to her. Giving her a kiss on the lips and pulled away. Her hand leaving hers as she closed the door, leaving Laurel in the room. The sounds of the latch locked and inside was dark.

Suko stood by the door, waiting. In seconds, she could hear screaming coming from the small isolated room. Her eyes closed as the screaming continued. She could see the faces of those she murdered when she first turned. Waking up to see the smile on her father's face, which grew into fear once her teeth sunk into his neck. And every other villager feared Suko as if she was a demon.

When the screaming had stopped. She looked at the door, wondering if she became unconscious. One of the servants came down stairs and approached Suko, handing her a phone. She took the call and answered. "Yeah?" Her usual answer.

"Suko, where the hell are you?!" The familiar voice filled her ears. With a soft sigh Suko looked at the door with a quick glance and walked a few steps away.

"I'm on the boat...or big boat." She answered, keeping quiet as possible. "Why?"

"The competition is getting out of hand, turned out the Carnales are working with the man you want so badly. He's a Ventrue."

Suko stopped moving as the name was said. Ventrue. Ventrue are regal vampires who value power and dominion to the point of obsession, self-styled "lords of the night" they represent vampirism as a metaphor for maddening power. Touching her lips as she continued listening to her friend.

"Listen Suko, you must be careful about this man. He is by far the oldest vampire who is still alive. Rumor has it he killed most of his own Clan members, which explains why a few of them exist. If he can wipe out the stronger vampires, he can destroy you as well." The voice sighs. "Suko, he's dangerous."

Suko replied with a few word. "So am I." And pressed the hang up button. She placed the phone on a nearby table and walked back to the door. Knocking on the door several times, she leans closer to listen any sound in the room.

“Die?” Laurel asked, as Suko stepped forward and kissed her. She then stepped out of the room leaving Laurel alone. Laurel rushed across the small room pounding on the door. She was only able to hit it a couple of times before a burning pain started deep inside of her. It forced her to drop to her knees a loud scream exiting her mouth. Her scream was so loud that it was a good thing they were on a ship out to sea. If they had been in the city they would have been swarmed by gods knows how many police wondering what kinds of horrors were happening. Her screams were nothing compared to the pain inside her. It started deep in her belly but then spread feeling like it was coursing through her blood until every inch of her was in pain.

It felt like hours that she was there screaming in pain until she finally fell completely to the ground unable to hold herself up anymore or to scream. She still hurt but just lacked the energy to express that pain. Why hadn't Suko warned her about this? It really did feel like she was dying until finally she passed out on the floor.

When she woke up who knows how much later the pain was gone. She felt cold, so cold more than she had ever felt before and she grew up in New York. She lay on the floor shivering and trying to warm up, her hands rubbed against her arms feeling that it wasn't the room she was in that was cold but her. It reminded her of the way Suko felt. That icy chill that she always had. The cold wasn't all that Laurel could feel, she was hungry. It was a hungry so strong, feeling like she hadn't eaten in weeks. No she wasn't hungry, that wasn't it she was thirsty.

Standing up Laurel was shaky on her feet at first but then found her footing. With each step she took it sounded like it was echoing. She paused and just listened, she could hear everything the engines of the boat, even the water lapping against the side of the boat. What she couldn't hear was her heart beating. She pushed her hand to her chest feeling nothing. It took a couple steps to reach the door where she knocked on the door, “Suko!” She said pausing as she caught the scent of wine. It was Suko's scent and it was so strong it smelt like it had when they were making love. So close and enveloping her. “I know you are there I can smell you. Open this door!”

Suko remained by the door, waiting for Laurel to awake soon. Her arms folded on her chest and her eyes closed as if she was sleeping while standing. She heard a knock on the door, looking at the door closely. She giggled about her scent. Standing straight and in front of the door, she grabbed the latched and twisted it. Opening the door, peeking her head inside to see the change in Laurel.

She no longer smelled like fresh meat. Her eyes still blue. Suko took a couple steps back for the woman to come out of the closest. No pun intended. Licking her teeth as she examined Laurel from head to toe. Her eyes met hers. "I'm sorry about sealing you inside." She apologized. "But sometimes when converting someone to vampirism, it is said the one who changes tend to get violent." She explained, her hand reaches up and touched her shoulder arm. "I'm glad that did not happened to you."

She remembered the first time she changed. After her little blood bath, she was scared when her senses had increased. Smell, noise, speed, and strength. But the thirst, it hungered every day since she was reborn.

"You been unconscious for quite a while." Suko reached for her hand and lead her outside. Clouds still covered the sun, but still Suko stood in the master bedroom. She opened the closest and revealed a massive amount of clothes hanging on hangers. She started picking her clothing for the day and examined each clothing, but passed after examination. "I think I have some in your size." She said to Laurel after grabbing a dress shirt. She grabbed her favorite black pants (https://i.pinimg.com/736x/6f/9d/9f/6f9d9f6a375ce8f55832690328ae0764--skinny-pants-outfits-black-skinny-pants.jpg) and a pair of black boots. Holding the pieces of clothing in her hands, she walked over to Laurel. "Now it's your turn." She smiled and walked past the woman. Setting her clothes on the bed, she took off the bathrobe and stood there in full nude. She almost forgot about panties and bra and turned back to the closest. "Come on!" She said in a happy tune and placed her hands on Laurel's back, giving her a gentle push.

She stumbled a little when Suko pushed her forward to the closet. Laurel turned to look at Suko thinking the woman was really a work of art. With a smile on her face she turned back to the closet reaching into a drawer and digging through it. She pulled out a pair of black lace panties and a matching bra (https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/06/a3/f5/06a3f5f2e42d4d77a655caba869f3030.jpg) then tossed them to Suko. “I think you forgot these.” She said, pulling out a very similar pair of her only in red (https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/36/58/37/365837f6b3ca3fa68d0262bd009d12f3.jpg). She put them on then went back to the closet looking through the clothes. Laurel was a little taller than Suko but they were about the same size. She picked out a pair of torn jeans (https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/c4/87/ab/c487abded5f608376d457a8928b00229.jpg), red and black shirt (https://i.pinimg.com/564x/35/5b/0d/355b0ddb1a5bc31287a848fa5f9451f6.jpg), a black jacket (https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/73/92/bd/7392bd5a94fa881a51a8453524b282f2.jpg) and a pair of converse shoes (https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/5b/b6/6a/5bb66a3b538e954497c6dc3e25ce2b46.jpg).

Once they had both changed Laurel walked back to the window of the bedroom looking out it. There was still some cloud cover but it was starting to break. Laurel thought that it was bright outside, much brighter than she remembered. The clouds parted some more and ray of sunlight hit Laurel's hand. She hissed and pulled back in pain. Her hand was burned where the sun had touched her. The skin was a dark black and blistered. But as she stared at the burnt skin it slowly started to reform itself until it wasn't even marred at all. She looked back to Suko, “How?” Laurel asked. Suko had said that sunlight would hurt them but she hadn't mentioned anything about being able to heal fast though she should have realized it when her wrist had healed up after filling a glass with blood.

Laurel's hunger grew again at the thought of blood, the desire for it growing even stronger. Suko had said she would only turn if she drank blood. She still wasn't sure if this was what she wanted but she didn't know how she would be able to make it three days with this need in her. She leaned into Suko letting the other woman wrap her arms around her as she rested her head on her shoulder. “Does anything make this hunger lessen other than drinking blood?” She asked.

After dressing herself. Suko watched Laurel as she stood there. Looking out through the window. Then she stepped closer as her hand burned from the sun's light. Taking her hand and gently rubbed the skin, then pulls her hand up and gives it a kiss. "We also inherit the ability to heal, but like I said." Looking at her own skin, "Gift." Then her eyes shifted towards the sun. "Curse." Suko remembered the first time she felt the sun burning her skin. Her body charred, but quickly healed once she found shelter. The pain was crucial and it gave her the shakes. Her sister watched as she hid herself from the sunlight. She was young, but started to understand. Covering most of the cracks and holes of their home, her sister did what she can to keep Suko alive. Even brought a goat inside for Suko to feed on. Suko was supposed to the oldest, and taking care of her little sister. That changed after a while.

With a soft sigh, Suko looked at Laurel when asked about the hunger. "Blood is our lifeline. It keeps us alive and well. Eating human food would only taste like ash in our mouths. If we don't get the blood we need." Looking at an old picture frame on the wall. The picture showed a young man posing as his image was painted carefully. "We become mutated." She shivered slightly at the thought. "Any blood will do though. Human, animal." She laughed at the list. "I once tried fish. Tasted bland."

"It's like I said, handle the three day trial. And you can become human once more, but if you even lick a small drop of blood. You'll be a vampire...forever."

There was a knock on the door. One of the servants. He entered as Suko gave him consent. "Ma'am, we're approaching the harbor, and we also have these ready." He showed a couple of containers much like the one she used at Laurel's place. "Thank you." She said, taking the containers from him as he left. Opening one and dipped her fingers in and lifted a large amount. "Modified sunblock." She explained. "It helps us from becoming a Bar-B-Q cookout. But they have only a limited of time before it wores off." She rubbed the cream almost every inch of her face, ears and neck area. She pushed the unopened container towards Laurel. "Hurry, I have something to show you." She smiled while looking at Laurel. "And no more surprises." She giggled. "The limo ride was a quite surprise to be honest."

Checking the areas to know if she got her skin covered. She sighs and looked behind her desk. Pulling two umberalla's, one black and one blue. "Which one?" She asked, showing her the colored rain covers.

She took the container of 'sunblock' and began putting the cream on. She listened to her comments about the hunger and drinking blood thinking about how hard it was right now. She didn't even want to think about how bad the cravings would be in three days. Three days if she could withstand them she would be back to normal but she wasn't sure that was what she wanted. A life with Suko seemed wonderful despite her having only known her a few days. She was in love with the woman, last night she had questioned it but the more time she spent with her the more she realized it was true.

Once all the cream was on she turned to Suko, the other woman making sure she had it completely rubbed into her skin. She wasn't fully sure how it worked but she trusted Suko. Smiling at her she reached for the blue umbrella, black was more of Suko's color. She then linked her arm in Suko's and walked to the deck of the boat. They both opened their umbrellas but Laurel paused at the threshold, afraid to go out at first recalling how the sun had burnt her skin. She had never before been scared to go outside before. It was a strange feeling. She looked at Suko seeing a warm smile on her face then stepped onto the deck, closing her eyes and hoping for the best.

Suko watched as Laurel closed her eyes and took a step forward. She did the same as she followed and walked by her side. The sun only gave her warmth, but didn't burn her skin. She quickly sets up the umberalla and covered herself from the sun. Blocking the rays as she walked with Laurel.

The two managed to get to the limo as the driver stood by the door. It was clear the driver was human and noticed the two approaching. He reaches for the door and opened it for the two to get in. Once inside, Suko gets in first and waited for Laurel to seat herself as she scooched to the other side. "You'll get use to it." She commented about the warm feeling when the sun had touched their skin.

The driver closed the door and walked around the limo to get in the driver seat. Driving off slowly, Suko moved to sit with Laurel and clenched her hand with Laurel's. Her head rested on her shoulder. Her other hand touched and poked Laurel's body. "Do you know what's fun about not having to breath with your lungs?" She asked looking up the woman. "Is there is no limit." She leans upward and kissed Laurel on the lips. Her tongue played with hers and softly moans. "You should try swimming with me before you make your decision." She smiled and bit the bottom of her lip. "It's exhilarating." She sits on the woman's lap and continued kissing her. "When it's gets dark...I'll show you what I mean."

What was it about limos and them? Laurel let Suko kiss her and climb into her lap. She rested hands on Suko's hips holding her there while exploring with her fingers. Laurel took in what she said, realizing for the first time that she had been breathing but it wasn't necessary. Trying to prove her point Laurel kissed Suko deeply well past the point where she should have been breaking away to gasp for air. But her lungs weren't screaming like they should have been. She pulled away and looked at Suko, she didn't breath but really had to think about not doing it. Breathing was something you didn't ever think about it was just something you did. Not breathing she found seemed to take a lot of conscious effort. She wondered that if as time went on that would change. How long would it take? More than three days?

Suko talked about the ups and the downs about being a vampire. She had already seen how sunlight could hurt her but also how quickly she healed. Not breathing could have its advantages for things like swimming as well as other things. Things that sprang to mind with this beautiful woman sitting in her lap. “I thought you didn't want any more surprises?” Laurel asked, while leaning forward and kissing her neck. “If I have to keep my hands to myself then so do you.”

Her actions didn't match her words though and she kissed feverishly at her neck with her hands exploring every inch of Suko's backside. The privacy window to the limo was still down and Laurel could see the driver head of them. All the windows in the limo were blacked out. Laurel hadn't really noticed this last night but then again that wasn't uncommon for limos. Though now knowing what she did about Suko it made sense, the blacked out windows weren't for privacy but to keep the light out. The limo could easily be parked in a garage where Suko entered, driven wherever then parked in another garage where she could safely get out.

“Where are we going love?” Laurel asked.

"Just one more." Suko noticed they had arrived at their location. Stepping out of the vehicle with Laurel, she smiled at her question and reached for her hand. "Something I was trying to show you instead, we got drunk." She giggled as guided her towards an entrance where two guards stood outside. Wearing formal black suits and tie with dark shades. Suko approached casually with a smile still on her face, then one of the guards reached for the door and opened it for Suko and Laurel to enter.

Walking inside, she led Laurel upstairs and through a hallway. At the end of the hall, she opened a door and held it open for Laurel to follow. Inside the room was an office filled several individuals. Two of them were Suko's associates. The Russian, and the Assistant. Suko walked over to the two, standing in front of the two, they noticed she wasn't alone. Looking at Laurel with curiuous eyes, Suko introduced the three.

"Fella's, this is Laurel." She gestured a hand towards Laurel, and did the same to the fella's. "Laurel, this are my fella's." She joked. The Russian chuckled softly and extended his arm out to Laurel. "Name is Chupov Artemiy Nikolayevich."

Suko rolled her eyes, "That is still quite a mouthful." She commented on his name. "We just call him 'Nikolai.'"

The short, shaved head smiled as he stepped forward. "My name is simple, John." He reached his hand out to shake as well.

Suko looked around and noticed the large glass windows. She walked over and observed the large empty building filled with workers. Large bins filled with water and workers filled with substances. There was multiple tables with vials and machinery, the workers face's were covered with masks and googles.

"John, tell miss Laurel what we do here." Suko said over her shoulder as she watched the worker's progress.

John cleared his throat while holding his hands. "We are creating a more safe and powerful drug for people to buy. But this is no ordinary drug, unlike the junkies and dealers we mostly rip off. Selling cheap home made crap that could kill people." He showed a hand to the window, walking over to the deck with Suko. "We actually studied and manage to take out the compounds that are lethal. Most of these drugs go over seas and sold to exclusive buyers."

Suko looked at John, "What is the total for our last sale?" She asked.

"About one hundred grand. And as usual thirty percent goes to the needy." John checked his pad and looked through several paper work. "Children hospitals, homeless shelters, animal shelters, and the orphanage just got their payments collected."

Suko looked at Laurel. "This is what I do." She smiled. "Still, we sell some small stuff at the Club just to keep appearances up." She sighs softly. "Stll want to arrest me?" She asked curiously while her head is lowered, but her eyes looking at Laurel.

“I blame getting drunk on you. The way you kept putting drinks in my hand.” Laurel said, stealing one last kiss as they walked inside. Laurel looked around taking in everything she saw trying to figure out where they were and why. Like most everything she had seen around Suko it was guarded by large men who she could tell weren't just for show. They stopped at a office where Laurel met two men. She shook both their hands as introductions were done.

Moving to the window overlooking the work floor below Laurel was impressed with the size of this drug operation. She had never imagined that Suko's empire was this large. She was equally amazed at the fact that something this large could be in her city and her not knowing about it. Suko explained that drugs weren't lethal and the profits were donated to charities. Laurel was puzzled she didn't expected that. There was the feeling from when she had first met Suko that she wasn't a bad person despite knowing for a fact the woman had done some very bad things. Suko made the joke about still wanting to if Laurel wanted to arrest her. Laurel didn't know to be honest. Her whole world had been turned upsidedown. She didn't know what was up or down. What was right or wrong.

“Why are you doing this? I thought vam...” Laurel said, pausing as she lowered her voice looking at the two men not knowing if they knew what Suko was. She figured that Suko didn't go around telling just anyone that she was a vampire. Yes, she had told Laurel which should have never happened. Laurel was a police detective hunting her. Suko shouldn't be telling her that she was a vampire or a drug dealer yet here they were. “Vampire. I thought vampires were evil.”

"Not all Vampires are evil sweetheart. Most of us want to protect humanity from being wiped out. After all, they are our only food source." Suko smiled when she heard her words spoken softly. Turning around and looking at the others, she pointed at her own eyes and turned around once more, but this time, her own eyes were red. As were the bodyguards and the associates eyes. Red eyes staring at the direction of Laurel as if it was a horror movie.

She takes in a deep breath, or so she felt. Taking a step forward, her eye color changed normal. "Most of us only want the bad people gone out of this world, but they are like cockroaches. Dealers, murderers, rapists, criminals...all of them." She folded her arms and looked at the floor beneath her feet. "We're trying to protect the weak the best we can." Her eyes looked up to meet Laurel's. She wasn't sure what the woman had felt, how should she be reacting to all of this. The thought of 'Why is she showing me this?' would be wondering in her mind. Suko wanted to show her this for several reasons which none she can explain.

She walked up to the woman and held out her hands to hold hers. With the smile still on her face and leans up to kiss her lips. After pulling away from kissing her for some time, she looked at the desk behind her and walked over to it. She finds the file sitting on the desk. She picked it up and leans again'st the desk once more. "This...is what an evil vampire is." She handed over the file to Laurel, inside the file was several paperwork about a certain vampire. Suko had 400 years, and she used that time to find this certain one. There was a picture (https://i.pinimg.com/736x/c5/5b/4d/c55b4d051df51c88eeaa5d1bc0273fcf--male-vampire-sexy-vampire.jpg) of man wearing a large hat and holding a cane. His hair long and black, nails never clipped. His facial hair groomed and short, and his eyes seem daring.

"I've been hunting him." Suko explained about the picture. "The man....who turned me into this, the man..who took away my life."

Hearing Suko explain why she did what she did made Laurel feel better about the other woman. She found herself linking her arm in hers. When Suko turned to the others in the room showing them her eyes Laurel felt her teeth grow longer and a warmth behind her eyes. She couldn't see her own eyes but had a feeling they had just gone red like the others. When Suko had shown her before none of the other bodyguard's had the change making her wonder if it was because she wasn't yet a vampire or if it was because she had drank Suko's blood. Was there some sort of link between them? If Laurel made the change she would be sired by Suko or at least that was what she had read in books and seen in movies. When Suko looked down Laurel could feel her teeth subside and the warmth lessen.

When Suko returned to her they kissed for a while and when they pulled apart Suko's men were gone no doubt giving them a little privacy. Next the Asian woman showed Laurel a file, it was much like the many ones she had on her desk. Inside it was a picture of a man that was eerily haunting to her. Just looking at the photo sent shivers down her spine. Yet it also sent a burning rage through her. This man had hurt Suko. It was hundreds of years ago yes, and it had made her what she is now but the fact was that she hurt Suko. She could feel that warmth behind her eyes once more and her teeth grow. Laurel wondered again if what she was feeling this way because of her own feelings or if there really was some sort of link between them.

She wrapped her arms protectively around Suko wanting to comfort and protect her. “Do you know where he is?” She asked.

Suko embraced the hug and held her in her arms. Resting her head on her chest and closed her eyes as she felt the comfort take place. It's been a long time since Suko had to feel this kind of comfort. Other then her sister who helped feed her with animals. Her sister didn't had the courage to bring a human and watch her kill a stranger. Feeling safe and secured, she looked at the other woman and smiled.

"We know where he is...but..." Her voice trailed off as she looked past Laurel, thinking about her next step. "He is a very dangerous vampire."

She pulled away from Laurel's grasp, but wanted to remain in her arms. She wanted to show more information about the man in the picture. "His name is Creighton, unknown birthdate, but he is known to be the oldest vampire and what is left of the Ventrue Clan." She looked at Laurel, she could tell she had the curious face going on. Suko started explaining. "The Ventrue Clan are a more dominant vampires, their true goal is dominance over humanity. You know, slavery." She looked through the file one more time before setting it down. "But apparently one of them became a blood thirsty bastard and destroyed his own Clan, killing every vampire that was stronger then him."

Turning around and touching the surface of her desk, she stared at the hard wood, a beatiful design. "I want to destroy him." She said in a low growl moment.

Who knew that there was such a subculture with vampires, clans and hierarchy? Certainly not Laurel, until a few days ago she didn't even know they were real. Standing behind Suko she rested her hands on her shoulders and massaging she moved behind her. “He has to have a weakness, everyone does. We only need to figure it out and when we do we will kill him.” Laurel said, still rubbing her shoulders before turning Suko around to sit on the desk and leaning forward into her kissing her neck. She was in love with Suko, it was love at first sight she knew that despite having never believed in it before. She wanted to do everything she could to protect her and avenge the harm this Creighton had caused Suko. “Tell me more about him.” Laurel asked, even though she had a feeling it wasn't something Suko liked to talk about.

Suko took moment as she relaxed in the woman's arms and enjoyed her kisses. Closing her eyes, releasing a soft sigh. Moans escaped as she felt the gentle lips touching her soft skin. Her arms over her shoulders and hands combing through her hair. When she opened her eyes when she heard the question. Suko touched Laurel's cheek and caressed her skin ever gently. "Vampires are given a special ability we can use, but we can only use it for a limited time." She explained as her fingers touched Laurel's lips, "And his is telekinesis." She had a look like she had lost a war, or a battle. "He can manipulate objects, and eve people." Her eyes returned to Laurel's. "I can control water." She looked at a cup of water next to a pitcher on a different table, she lifted her hand and watched as the liquid motion floated in the air. She brought the levitating water near the two and surrounding them in a ring.

Her eyes kept staring at Laurel as she used both hands to control the water around them. Then the ring of water dropped suddenly and Suko felt a little faint. "I can't use it for too long." She muttered as she leans closer to Laurel. Touching the side of her head and moans softly, "I get a little headache from that." She chuckled, but truly she was exhausted for not feeding. There was a bottle sealed tightly in a fridge, the bottle was filled with a dark red blood. Suko wanted to drink it, but she also didn't want to torment Laurel's need before her last day.

Laurel was mesmerized by the water floating around them. She had been about to reach out and touch it right before it fell to the ground. Instead her arms wrapped around Suko when the other woman leaned into her. She held her close letting Suko use her for support. “You need practice. Without it you will never be able to control your powers to their fullest ability.” Laurel said, leading Suko to a chair at the desk. She sat her down and walked behind her again rubbing her shoulders. “I ran competitively in college but it wasn't as simple as going out on race day and running the race. I had to train daily. Each day pushing myself further.”

Laurel walked back to the other table picking up the pitcher and walking to a small kitchenette in the corner. She ran the pitcher under the faucet filling the pitcher back up before grabbing a glass from the table. Then she moved back to the desk setting it before Suko as she moved behind her rubbing her shoulders. “Practice and you will be able to master your powers.”

Suko chuckled as she looked at the pitcher of water. "It's not that." She stood up slowly and moaned softly. "It's..." She looked at the fridge one more time. "My feeding issue." She turned her gaze the woman. "My powers last longer if I feed." She took the chair and sat down again. "I haven't drank any blood since this morning." She groaned a bit. She looked at a door at the other end of the room, opening slowly, a woman from the club appeared. "Figured you be here." The woman said as she pulled her shades off. Her light yellow eyes stared at the two. "So...you converted her?" She asked when she had recongized Laurel.

"Just a trial." Suko smiled at the other, "Something for her to consider for her future." She placed her hand on Laurel's and squeezed firmly.

The blonde looked around the room and noticed the wet stains. "Guess you made a mess while your at it." She walked to the fridge and pulled out the bottle of the red liquid, grabbing three cups from a cabinet and walked back to the two. She set the cups down and popped the cork and poured two of the three glass cups. "Would you like a drink?" She asked Laurel, tempting her.

Suko looked at Laurel with a concern expression, "As I said before...three days to change your mind...or two and half days now, you been asleep for the most of today." Suko smiled as she reached for the glass cup. "But....I won't drink, if you won't." She pushed the cup back towards the blonde.

The blonde shocked as she looked at the cup, "Suko...you know what happens if you don't drink..."

Suko shrugged as she kept the smile on her face. "I know."

The woman that walked in Laurel had seen her before but had no idea who she was. Suko hadn't introduced her yet. She seemed to be close to her though, but Laurel didn't know what their relationship was. She retrieved a bottle from the fridge and several glasses. As the liquid poured Laurel could tell that it was blood but it didn't smell like blood. Instead of that coppery smell it had a wonderful aroma that was so inviting. Laurel wanted to try it. She craved it more than anything. The hunger burning inside her intensified to the point where she almost found herself reaching for the glass.

Laurel froze though hearing Suko mention it was a trail run. If she drank, her choice would be made and there was no going back. She wasn't sure if she was ready to make that choice yet. Part of her did but there was still so much she didn't know. Laurel reached forward wrapping her hand around Suko's and guiding her back to the glass. Using Suko's hand she pulled it back towards her until the glass was right before her. Laurel leaned down and kissed Suko on the cheek. “Drink you need your strength.” Laurel said, then stepped away from the table walking to the glass window and looking out at the floor below. She wasn't really interested in it but felt she couldn't look at Suko drinking blood and being tempted by it. She hoped that Suko drank the blood knowing it would give her strength. Without turning around to see if Suko drank or not Laurel asked, “Who are you? We haven't been properly introduced yet.”

Suko watched Laurel as she walked away, standing near the large window. With a low soft sigh, Suko grabbed the cup and drinks the cup of blood. The other woman however, she drink hers fast and did not waste a single drop. Feeling rather rejuvenated from the blood, Suko looked at the blonde who places the pair of dark shades back on.

The woman (https://i.pinimg.com/736x/2e/e9/2e/2ee92ebeb6ea3588b62820e41ea48880--hair-color-blondes-hot-blondes.jpg) looked at Laurel when she asked who she was. Pulling the shades down a little and stared at Laurel, eye to eye. "I'm someone who is concerned about you." She stated and looked back at Suko. "Which reminds me." She reaches inside of her brown coat and pulled out an envelope. "That man you wanted to keep tabs on?" She tossed the envelope on the ground. "He's been busy."

Suko reaches for the envelope and opens it only to find pictures. The pictures of the man was fuzzy, yet still could be identified as the one Suko was after. "And we know where he is."

Suko looked to the blonde. "Where?"

The blonde sighs softly. "He's at the Club."

“That still doesn't answer my question.” Laurel said, looking at the blonde woman. She didn't like not knowing who she was. Why it bothered her she wasn't fully sure but it did. There was just something about her. She obviously was close to Suko. She looked from the woman to the empty glass Suko had. The third cup still sat there empty next to the pitcher of blood. She could still smell the blood and craved it more than anything. Taking a deep breath that she realized she didn't need Laurel walked back to Suko resting her hands on her shoulders gently rubbing them. “What are you going to do?” Laurel asked about Suko's sire.

The woman looked at Laurel with a frown. "She can do something." She crossed her arms and switched her gaze to Suko. "Though she will be cast out if she does."

Suko looked up to the woman then back to the desk. "That's right." She closed her eyes for a moment and reached for Laurel's hand, grasping with her fingers. "Certain vampires are allowed to create a sanctuary for others, though no harm will come to them. The host must treat them with fair hospitality." She stood up from her seat and looked at the woman. "Thank you for reminding me." Suko turned around and faced Laurel, "We should head to the Club, I'm supposed to keep up appearances." She leans closer to the woman as she was holding her hands, her lips touching hers. "I need you to keep calm once we get there...okay?" Her eyes staring into hers, her smile shining.

Once the two walked outside of the room and Suko guided Laurel to the limo, she opened the door for Laurel and signaled the driver to drive away. She sits close to Laurel and sighs softly. "I can't believe Amelia had to remind me about that responsibility." She muttered, "Oh I also forgot, Amelia doesn't like to be introduced in front of others, she rather remain anonymous about that." She looked up to the woman, "Disrection reasons." Her hand reaches up and stroked her hair, fingers combing through while her lips touched hers.

The limo arrived to the Club, it was evening and safe for the two to part from the vehicle with no sun protection. Suko led Laurel to her main office from the back entrance. Going up through the stairs, and finding her office. She finds her associates already in the room.

"Ah, Suko." John acknowledged her presence. Nikolai simply turned before retuning his attention back to the window. The window that showed the dance floor and music can be heard faintly. Suko looked at the two before walking to her desk.

"I understood there is a High Vampire here." She said before sitting down.

"Yes ma'am." Nikolai gives a slight nod towards the VIP Section. "We had to treat him with his standard procedures."

"Like what?" Suko asked with a frown.

John sighs before answering. "He wanted to be the office before you arrive, but we reminded him about sanctuary rules. He is complying for now."

"Anything else?"

"He wants the expensive and rare blood to himself, he wanted the DJ to play certain music, and apparently, wanted the servers to dance for him."

Suko chuckled, "What does he think this place is, a brothel?" She got up from her seat and walked to the window to find Creighton. She spotted him right away, his clothing style gave it away. Black suit, long hair slicked back, over his shoulders, a walking cane, and of course long finger nails. Suko looked rather nervous to know the one who killed her was here. She looked over at Laurel, "If I try to kill him here...I would only seal my fate by death."

She walked over to the window and stood behind Suko gently rubbing her shoulders. She could tell that Suko was tense and uncomfortable. Being so close to the one that had caused so much damage to her and unable to do anything about it must have been hard on the other woman. Laurel searched the crowd until she finally noticed who Suko was looking at. The man seemed so familiar to her and not just because she had seen his photograph. There was something strange about him like she knew him. But she would no doubt remember if she ever met someone like him before. Was this the charm of a high vampire? Suko had her own irresistible charm to her it made sense that a high vampire's would be so much stronger.

Laurel jumped a little as the man they were watching turned and looked at them. She had been in enough clubs to know that offices that overlooked the club were common and that most of them had either tinted glass or a two way mirror preventing anyone from the floor from looking into the office. It seemed like Creighton was staring right at them. That he knew they were there. It sent a shiver down Laurel's spine but she couldn't look away her eyes seeming to make contact with his. She stood there for a moment her hands still resting on Suko's shoulders but she had stopped rubbing them, feeling almost frozen.

She finally managed to shake herself free when Creighton looked away to wave one of the servers over to him. The girl looked very uncomfortable and it seemed like she just wanted to get away from him. He whispered something to her and she nodded before quickly leaving the VIP area, look of relief on her face. A minute later there was a knock on the door, John answered it and the server that had just been with Creighton was standing there, “Mistress, your guest wanted me to inform you that your presence is requested.” The girl said, then looked past toward Laurel, “And that you are to bring the blonde woman with you.” At first the girl had been thinking the blonde was Suko's associate but seeing Laurel standing there confused her.

The woman stood there for a second until Suko finally had dismissed her. Looking through the glass once more to look at the elder vamire. Standing there with both hands touching each other and her eyes closed. She takes a moment to summon up enough courage to walk to the door, though before she does. Her eyes turned to Laurel and smiled, walking closer to her then then the door. She leans close to the woman and kissed her lips for a few seconds before pulling away.

In minutes the four had walked down to meet with Creighton as he enjoyed himself sitting on a exotic chair. He had a few of his own associates sitting behind him, a few standing up as if they were bodyguards. Suko was standing about 10 feet away from the group. Her hands behind her back, she leans her head up a little. "Mr. Creighton, I trust you are finding yourself relaxed in my humble establishment?" She asked curiously.

The pale man sat there with a female vampire sitting on his lap, the young girl looked more frightened then the other girl who had sent the message. A decorated glass cup with gold trimming filled with blood was in his hand while the other wrapped around the young girl's waist. He hummed for a second before leaning close to the girls' neck and inhaled deeply. He had a odd smile and finally took his gaze away from the girl to the other female.

"It is somewhat....not my taste." He smiled with his teeth showing, then finally looked at the blonde, "Who is your friend?" He asked soothly.

The man was even more daunting when he was right in front of her. Laurel wasn't the type to be easily intimidated but he was really unnerving her. She stood a couple of steps behind Suko and hadn't really expected Creighton to address her. Suko hated him but she wasn't at all sure how he felt about Suko. She didn't know how to respond, Suko had talked about rules that vampires had to adhere to. She stepped forward toward him and held her hand out to shake not wanting to show any sort of weakness. It surprised her a bit when Creighton reached around the girl on his lap and shook her hand. Laurel felt strange the moment she touched him. She staggered back closing her eyes.

When she opened them she wasn't in the club she was standing in a forest. It was late at night the moon was full and high in the sky. Looking down she noticed that she was wearing a long green dress. Not far from her stood a white horse. She didn't know where she was or what was going on. How did she get from the club to wherever here was? Looking around she noticed a basket of flowers on the ground next to her. Evening Primrose (https://www.eattheweeds.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/ob1.jpg), she thought not sure how she knew the name of it. She picked one of the blooms up and twirled it around in her hand. She had picked them recently, there was an old myth that primrose picked at midnight on a full moon had powers to protect from evil.

She needed these flowers to protect her from an evil that had been following her. Or at least that was what Laurel thought. She didn't know what was going on, how she knew all this. A chill wind blew on her freezing her in her tracks. She turned to see a man standing a short distance from her. She hadn't heard him approach but knew who he was. It was Creighton. “Those flowers won't help you Aoibheann.”

Laurel blinked and then opened her eyes, she was back in the club standing across from Creighton still holding his hand. “Aoibheann” Laurel said, the name stuck in her head. “Sorry I don't know why I said that. My name is Laurel.”

Aoibheann – pronounced Ay-veen

After holding her hand for some time, Creighton had felt something familiar with the woman. Like she was a piece of his past. He chuckled softly when she had mentioned Aoibheann. After releasing his grip on the woman, he smiled. "Aoibheann is a old name I have not heard in centuries." He turned his attention to Suko. "You walk with interesting company, perhaps you would accompany me to one of my warehouses, I have something I would like to propose about our...business."

Suko folded her arms, "You know the rules Creighton, discussing business is prohibited in sanctuary's. Especially in my club." Her associates took a step closer, and Creighton's goons did the same by standing up and stepped behind Creighton. "My my, I did not think you would be so hostile in this establishment."

"Not hostile, only enforcing the rules here." She smiled, "And I am the proprietor of this establishment. You stay here for as long as you like, but just remember to follow like the others. I hate to end your privileges here." She didn't tear her gaze away from the man, his scent was strong, his body was cold, colder then hers. She could sense something lingering onto this man, as if death followed him and became one with Creighton.

Creighton gives a small bow, "My apologies." He kept the smile on his face as he stood straight, and then looked to Laurel, not taking them off of hers. "Perhaps your friend would like to give a tour of your...fine establishment?"

Laurel had been on the force long enough to recognize a power struggle when she saw one. The give and pull followed by a show of force. At first she was tense thinking it would end badly, Laurel's hand fell to her hip where her gun normally was feeling nothing there and remembering she wasn't armed. The power struggle died down and Creighton turned a one eighty and put the charm back on. It didn't put Laurel as ease though in fact it unnerved her more. She took a step behind Suko, hating that she was showing this weakness but Creighton truly scared her. It wasn't just that he was a powerful vampire. It felt like there was a deep rooted fear in her soul. She didn't know what it was or why. Then there was the weird vision she had seen when she shook his hand. That name Aoibheann it was so foreign and familiar at the same time.

She wrapped her arms around Suko's waist wanting the comfort of her and to seem so weak. “I am merely a guest in this fine establishment much like yourself. It wouldn't be my place to intrude. That honor would go to our lovely hostess.” Laurel said, pressing a light kiss to Suko's neck feeling the blood under her skin. Without realizing it she bared her fangs and pressed them to the delicate skin. She held her teeth there a moment feeling the hunger in her. She could smell the blood from Creighton's cup and it was nearly intoxicating. Closing her eyes Laurel pulled herself together, she didn't know if she wanted to change yet. Laurel pulled her fangs back and pressed another kiss to Suko's neck hoping Creighton hadn't seen her struggle but feeling it was impossible to miss. Suko no doubt was well aware of it.

Suko placed her hands on the other as she wrapped herself on her waist. She smiled at first and gives a slight moment of an a exotic expression as she felt something near her neck. Was this Laurel's attempting to bite Suko? Though she would only seal her fate if she had done it. But she had already drank her blood to endure her test. She opened her eyes and looked at Creighton with a calm expression. "Mr. Creighton, do please relax yourself while you are here." She smiled before turning around and held onto Laurel's hand, guiding her away from the company of the higher vampire.

"Oh...I shall." Creighton grinned as he tipped his hat and stood there watching the group leave him to his own enjoyment.

It did not take long for the group to find themselves back at the office. Suko walked over to her desk and grabbed the front of it and lifted it up with her strength, flipping the desk in the air and crashed on the floor upside down. Important documents and accessories scattered all over, papers flying and glided in the room. She clenched her fists and lets out a growl of anger. "That bastard!" She shouted through her teeth. Then kicks the edge of the desk, which moved towards the wall and crashes once more.

She turned around with her hand on her head and sighs softly. Keeping a rather tight grip with her other hand on her hip. "I can not believe he does not remember me, after all these years of hunting him down. He does not recognize me." Her eyes looked around the room and started walking around slowly. "As much as I want to punch his face in and shattered his soul...I cannot just break the rules of the Inner Circle." She lets out another frustration sigh and clenched both hands this time into a fist.

As Suko destroyed the room Laurel watched at first then walked up behind her grabbing her around the waist. She was as much restraining her as holding her in comfort. Suko was furious at Creighton and Laurel knew how strong the vampire was after watching her throw Walker as if he was nothing. She needed to calm her down before she did something she regretted. Laurel didn't know much about the rules of the Inner Circle but breaking them seemed very serious. “Love he is toying with you.” Laurel said, brushing her hands along Suko's sides in what she hoped was a calming gesture. She rested her head on Suko's shoulder lightly kissing her neck. She could feel the desire to pierce her skin and drink her fill but right now was about Suko not her inner struggle.

Laurel didn't know if Creighton really was toying with Suko or not. It seemed like something he would do. How Laurel knew that she wasn't sure there was much about him that Laurel didn't understand. She wanted to ask Suko about the vision and how Creighton made her feel but now wasn't the time. Right now she needed to support Suko not put her own concerns on the agitated woman.

The angered vampire sighs softly as she felt the gentle hands of her lover touching her skin and hearing her voice had her calm for a moment. She lowered her head and let the woman wrap herself around her while she tried to gather her own thoughts. She could feel the light kisses touching pressing on the back of her neck, she tilted her head to the side and let the woman continue kissing, but then she felt something like Laurel wanted to do more then kissing, she could feel teeth nearing her flesh. After a slight moment of nothing coming near her again, she had to assume Laurel had regained her own conscious. "Now, now." Suko said softly, "You got two more days to think about your decision." She turned around slowly and held her own hands on Laurel's waists, "And also you have to drink human's blood to decide, drinking mine won't help much...my blood is dead, remember?" She tilted her head and smiled.

She takes a step back while holding Laurel's hands. "Nice try though." She smirked and looked at her associates. "Keep tabs on Creighton, find where he goes, learn about his routine."

The others nodded and left the room immediately. Suko looked at Laurel with a smile on her face. "I did promised something, did I not?" She asked curiously, she walked over to Laurel and touched her hand, holding firmly and lead the other woman out to the back area where the limo had been waiting.

An hour passed, Suko had kept quiet about where they were going, she mostly had held Laurel in her arms and kissed her most of the way. Once they arrived to the pier near the ocean, Suko noticed the night sky had finally fallen. Looking up to the dark sky, she could see the moon. "I love how dark it is out here, seeing the stars glitter in the sky...it feels like I am at peace." She looked over her shoulder at the woman, "But when I discovered this..." She lifted her leg up over the rail and stepped on the other side, "...I am more then at peace." She jumped and her body splashes in the water, Suko let herself sink towards the bottom. She turned around slowly and looked towards the surface and admired the view.

It surprised Laurel how Suko switched from being so upset to so calm so quickly. There was still so much about the vampire that she didn't know. Despite it feeling like Laurel had always known Suko that wasn't the truth. Suko led her back to the limo and they left the club. They fooled around in the limo but it didn't go past heavy petting. Not that Laurel was complaining. Though the longer she spent on her trail run vampire the more the hunger grew. She had almost gone a day now without feeding it was getting harder. She wanted to taste blood more than anything. To turn her though it had to be human blood, Laurel hadn't known that and had figured any blood would cement the change. That must have been why Suko hadn't stopped her from feeding. Suko had told her the choice would be hers and Laurel believed her. Even if Laurel reached a point that she wasn't fully in control Laurel knew Suko would make sure she really wanted it.

They stopped at a pier and Laurel followed her to the end where the vampire jumped off the edge still in her clothes. A breeze brushed past her making Laurel realize it was cold this evening. She wasn't actually cold the breeze had just made her aware that she should have been. Looking over the railing she watched Suko sink down thinking the water must be cold but it wasn't bothering her. Laurel climbed onto the railing where she paused for a moment then jumped, dropping into the water. She sunk down until she reached the same level as Suko until she was looking right at the other woman. The only sound she heard was the sound of the water pressing on her ears. It was very peaceful and Suko looked beautiful with her hair floating around her.

Her eyes watched the moon reflected into the ocean. How it sparked like a mirror, it caught her in a trance. But that changed when she had seen the woman's face coming closer to her. She smiled as she finally see's Laurel floating above her. She moved gently enough for her to move closer to Laurel. Her hand reached up, touching the side of her body and her other hand touching the smooth skin of her face. Her head leans forward and her lips touched with hers. Kissing her underwater was nothing she had experienced before. Bubbles floated to the top, Suko pulled her closer as she continued kissing her lover.

They were underwater for quite some time, and when they resurfaced to the top, the driver would wait with a couple of fresh clean dry towels. The two were sitting on the docks, Suko looked out to the ocean and admired the view. She leaned into Laurel's side, her head resting on her shoulder. Saying how she could feel the cold on her skin, on her clothes, but that would be a lie. Suko was not one for telling lies. She looked up to the sky and could see the stars, faintly from the city lights.

She moaned softly as she used the towel to dry her hair. After regaining her own composure, she looked to the woman. "I haven't decided if I should try and finish off Creighton." She said calmly, then looked out to the ocean once more. "I don't know if I am capable of killing such a stronger vampire." She sighs softly and held the dry towel closer to her mouth, her lips touching the soft fabric. "What to do." She mumbled.

Swimming in the bay with Suko was unlike anything Laurel had experienced before. The woman had a way of showing her so many new things. The feel of the water should have been freezing but it wasn’t. It was just there. When Suko pulled her close and kissed her everything else faded away. The deep blue of the water, the way it shimmered and the overall beauty of it. Only Suko was there with her lips pressed against hers and the water touching every inch of her skin. It felt like Suko was everywhere. Laurel was a little saddened when it ended and they floated to the surface. The driver gave them both towels to dry off with. They sat on the docks. Laurel had her towel wrapped around her but it wasn’t for warmth it was more out of habit. She wasn’t cold and knew Suko wasn’t either.

For several minutes they just sat there in silence. Suko looked like she was about to start some small talk but didn’t. The two of them were past that. It felt like they had known each other for years rather than the days that it was. Finally Suko spoke talking about her choices with what to do with Creighton. Laurel knew it deep inside that man was the most powerful darkness she had ever felt. What should Suko do? Laurel closed her eyes trying to think about what she would do. The cop inside her knew that Creighton had to be taken care of. That sort of evil couldn’t be left unchecked.

It was the first time in the last couple days she had remembered her life before all this. She was a cop and had just walked away from all that. She hadn’t even called in sick. Was the department looking for her? Walker no doubt would have gone to her apartment by now to check on her. She could imagine him convincing the building manager to let him in her apartment. The manager would refuse at first but after a few flashes of his badge the manger would let him in. What would he think of what he found? An empty apartment, seeming normal until he reached the bedroom. She hadn’t made the bed since Suko had shared it and clothes were thrown around everywhere. A detective like him might mistake that the room had been tossed with someone looking for something. Would he put an alert out for her? Laurel made a note to check in with the station. Explain that something came up. She would have to think of a good enough lie.

“Creighton is bad news. I have never felt that sort of darkness ever.” Laurel said, though the words didn’t sound right coming out of her mouth. The vision still haunted her. She knew Creighton deep down in her soul and it scared her.

Suko nodded in agreement. "Then it's settled, we will have to deal with Creighton one way or another. Otherwise he will plan to do the same." She takes the towel and dried off whatever felt wet on her skin or hair. "I can gather up some people who can help fight Creighton and his crew, but it'll be tough." Her eyes looked to Laurel's. "Killing another vampire will not be easy, especially removing the heart." She held her hand to her chest, "Once this is destroyed, we turn to ash and dust."

The thought about her heart being torn out had shaken her, last time she felt fear was when she first became a vampire. Having to not feel the sun warm her skin instead of burning her, the taste of food filling her mouth instead of a warm red liquid, and the feeling winter snow melting on her skin like her previous life.

She moved closer to Laurel, embracing with her lover. She felt peace.

"I will not make your choice for you if you wish to be a part of this." Her voice trembled, "But if you do not wish to fight, I understand." She slowly stood up on her feet and took the towel around her and dropped it on the ground. "You have a life to look forward too, you have two more days to consider, but once that sun raises up on the third morning...you will become human once more." Her eyes gazed on the surface of the sea. "I am sorry for troubling you with this..." She held her own arms and hugged herself.

Going to war with another vampire was very dangerous, even among humans. Vampires with special abilities can be gruesome to one another. Suko had fought other vampires before in her past time, she was not proud of those moments since the ones she had fought were most of her friends who turned their back on her. Suko had since then trusted nobody and watched her own back for quite some time.

Now waiting and preparing a final fight again'st the one who took her life away, Suko was ready to fight and die if necessary.

“Hmm so a stake to the heart isn’t enough?” Laurel asked, once again wondering how much she knew about vampires was true. Suko was going after Creighton, he was evil she could feel it right when she met him. Yet there was something more. She felt a personal bond to him and she didn’t like it. He frightened her more than what she would expect meeting a man like him should have. Laurel felt like she had known him for a long time, perhaps several lifetimes. Was that even possible? Reincarnation? God this new world she had been exposed to was so vast. It was good that Suko had other people who could help her but she wanted to help as well. But how much help could she bit if she wasn’t a full vampire. “You said, vampires have special powers like how you can control water. Can I access these powers without changing?” Laurel asked. She wanted to help not be a hindrance to Suko. She knew if she went into the battle with Crieghton without the ability to defend herself it would only be a distraction to Suko.

If Suko said, no then she wouldn’t allow herself to put Suko in that kind of danger. Every inch of her screamed to do something to stop Creighton. Yet she hadn’t made the choice yet.

"Our powers..." Suko thoughts to her for a second before speaking again. "...our powers are given when becoming a full fledge vampire." Then she turned her attention to Laurel. "Since your given a trail path...you were given a partial of our power." She took a step towards the ocean on the dock and looked to the view. "Speed, strength, heighten senses." She hummed for a second. "The ability not to die." She clenched her fist and examined it. "As for pain...we could still feel it." Then looked over her shoulder, "Well...barely."

Suko takes in a deep breath and closed her eyes. "It's settled." She said clearly. "I am going to war again'st Creighton." She turned around completely and looked at the bodyguard who stood nearby. "Call my advisors, call everyone and tell them to meet me at the club...tell them we're going to war."

The guard nodded and reached for inside his pocket and finds his cellphone.

After declaring such action, Suko walked up to Laurel. "It'll take a day for my call to be answered, not everyone is on my side...but they owe me favors." Her eyes turned to the city that glowed with lights. "I have numerous people who will fight alongside me, you already met three of them, might as well introduce you to the rest." She smiled and gestured her hand to the limo. "Come, we'll get out of these wet clothes and dress more appropriately for the right people."

Hours had passed, it was the next night. Suko and Laurel were at the Yacht preparing for their meeting.

Suko woke up with Laurel in her arms. She did not want to tear away from her, but still she needed to get out of bed. Once she was up, she went into the bathroom to shower up, she was in there for a while and finally got out with her hair completely dry and a towel wrapped around her body. "Morning." She said once she noticed Laurel was awake, but when she said 'Morning' it was more of a joke due to the dark night.

She sat on a chair in front of a mirror, there were a couple of files on the table in front of her. "Here." She said handing each one over. "These are files of those who are coming." Profiles of head vampires, from different groups. There were at least 8 files on the table. "Sera, Mikal, Josev, Dutch, Anderson, Amy, Isabel, and Mark." She named each one, "Three of them are head bosses much like myself...but I saved their hide more than twice...as for the other five...well...they owe me for their debts." She started putting on her make up, and fixed her hair. "Only one I will need to keep in check is probably Anderson, he is vicious as they come and can kill almost anything." She scoffed for a second, "He tried to kill me once, but I ended up tossing him in the ocean and spared his life."

She got up and walked over to Laurel and touched her hand, "Don't let him intimidate you." She spoke cautiously.

Waking back up on the yacht Laurel could heard the running water of the shower. She thought about joining Suko but stayed in bed for a a few more minutes. It was dark again and someone had opened the blinds letting the moonlight in. Waking up so late was unusual for her. Laurel stood up and walked to the end table noticing her phone was there and plugged in. Next it was also her hand gun looking to have been cleaned along with her wallet, her badge sitting nicely on top freshly shined. Everything was there ready for her to leave if she chose to. Laurel picked up the phone walking back to the bed and laying down. When she turned her phone on there were a number of text messages and missed calls. The majority of them were from her mother but not far behind were messages from Walker and the chief. She sent a quick message to Walker and the chief saying she was okay and needed to take some time to figure things out.

A text message wouldn't be enough to satisfy her mother. She called up her voicemail listening to the most recent message from her mother. “Laurel, where the hell are you and why aren't to answering my calls. I called your chief and he doesn't know where you are either. Says you have been to work for days. I swear I am inches away from calling your father's investig...” The message said cutting off. Before Laurel could queue up the next message her phone started ringing. She looked at the caller id seeing it was her mother. It rang two more times before she answered. “Oh thank god you are alive!” Her mother said.

“Yes, mother I am alive. Sorry I had to go out of town unexpectedly.” Laurel said, at first thinking of saying for work but her mother had already talked to her chief. So she decided to skip over the why and hope that would work. “My phone died and I didn't have a charger. I was just barely able to find one.”

“You are sorry? I have been worried sick, first you missed brunch and then you disappeared. Laurel this isn't like you. God I wish you had just joined your father's firm. I hate that you put yourself in danger all the time.” Her mother said.

“Mom, I am okay. I swear but I am going to be away a few more days.” Laurel said, hearing the shower turn off. “Please just don't contact dad's investigator looking for me. I promise I will text you in the morning. I have to go.” She hung up the phone seeing that Walker had text her back but she didn't read the message, dropping the phone on the bed and looked over to Suko. She took the files Suko handed her and began flipping through the. They were better organized that most dossiers she saw at work. She reached the one on Anderson looking through it. “You should know by now I am not easily intimidated.” She said, even though Creighton terrified her.

Suko smiled after she finally fixed her hair in place and stood up from the seat. "I learned that when I first came to your apartment that night." She looked at Laurel, her hand reached out to take the files from her. "Still, they won't be here for a few hours. We still have some things to finish until they arrive anyways. Like how to keep non-vamps out of the club, we can always tell who is who by their smell." She takes in a deep breath. "Which reminds me, why is that moron still on this boat?" She looked up towards the ceiling. His scent was strong, other than the body cologne, even that was too strong.

"Doesn't matter, he'll be gone in a few." She sighs softly and takes the towel of showing her exposed body to the woman in front of her. "Speaking of a few hours." She smiled slightly. "Need anything from home?...or any where else?" She asked curiously with a smile attached.

Laurel watched Suko from the bed her eyes following every move of the vampire. Watching every curve of her body not at all ashamed to be leering at her with a enticing smile on her face. She could hear the man above them moving around the ship a little surprised as he wasn't making a lot of noise. It was the enhanced vampiric hearing that let her hear him. Taking in a deep breath she could smell him as well. She hadn't realized that humans had a different and easily recognizable smell to them. It was interesting. Suko asked her if she needed anything from home and she really couldn't think of anything. Suko didn't seem to have a problem sharing her clothes so that wasn't an issue. Not taking her eyes off of Suko thought of her gun sitting on the table. It was her back up gun she would rather have one of her other weapons yet somehow she felt that the battle coming up wasn't going to be fought with guns. She had shot an entire magazine at Suko and it had done nothing. No she didn't need to get anything from her apartment. Besides Walker or the Chief might have people watching it, looking for her. She didn't want to have to deal with it.”No, I think I am fine.” Laurel said.

Suko had looked at the gun on the table, with a fresh magazine at the side. She smiled and walked over to the table with the gun laying on the surface. She reached for the magazine and looked at the rounds. "Silver can be so expensive now days." She said softly and shows the magazine to Laurel. "And it can kill us easily." She scoffed. "I had some of my guys made this special ammo...for you." She looked over his shoulder. "I know you like to use your firearm more than anything." She picked up the gun and pushes the magazine in.

Turning around and looked at Laurel, handing over the weapon to her. "Use it...when you need it the most." She smiled. "Just...don't miss." There was concern in her voice, something she would usually worry about with silver around.

When the two arrived at the Club once more. She was greeted with her fellow associates once more. She smiled and hugged each one. "Have they arrived?" She asked.

"Of course, they are waiting in the guest room."

Suko looked down the alley way, and then the other end. Wearing (https://orig00.deviantart.net/152e/f/2013/336/b/2/red_leather_gothic_punk_trench_coat_for_women_by_d evilnightuk-d6wghqn.jpg) something different felt relaxing, and something easier to fight in as well. She nodded and let her associates guide her and Laurel to the guest room. Where they find the leaders and those who sworn debts had waited.

She walked to the first three that were conversing together. "Sera, Josev, Mark." She greeted each of them and gently shook their hands and hugged them as well. "Good to see you once more my old friends." They smiled and chuckled. "This is Laurel." She introduced her lover. The three smiled and noticed what she was about. Mark leans forwards a little, "So...have you set your mind of what you want to be?" He asked curiously. "Immortality has it's perks." Sera however, taps on his shoulder.

"Now now, she is a lady of her own choice. Let her decide of what she wants to do." Sera smiled, "Don't mind him, it's been a while since he had seen someone who took the trial version."

"Hmm, indeed." Josev said with his accent. "None of us had seen a human took it willingly. Most would usually become frightened and run away at first sight."

"Until you hunt them down and drink their last pint of blood." A familiar voice filled the room. The blonde woman entered the room, taking her shades off and looked around. "A pleasure to see you all again." Then turned her gaze on Suko with a hard glare. "Especially you." She walked over and grabbed both Suko and Laurel by their hands. Taking them to a private room.

Once inside, she tossed a newspaper at Suko. "I told you not to get involved with the police." She said clearly and harsh. The title had read, "Police Officer Missing." It described Laurel's apartment and her appearance. "Evidence found the Detective's apartment of dismantled weapons which led to believe the female officer had been abducted. "No one has heard or seen this woman for two days."

She looked at the blonde and sighs softly. "Duh..she's right here!" She waved her arms at Laurel.

The blonde sighs with a struggle look. "You got to go back." Her hard stare turned towards Laurel. "We can't have you meddle in our affairs."

Suko shakes her head. "She already agreed to help us, she is willing to fight along with us."

"Hmm, how about she unwilling and disagrees to help?" Her hand slams on the table, the wood surface cracked and the items on top shook off and fell on the ground. "Because once the police catches a whiff of your appearance in this little haystick...no doubt they try and raid this place, shutting it down." She looked at both Suko and Laurel. "No more club...no more sanctuary...especially in this area."

Suko realized that as well. Most of this majority area was filled with other vampires. And their only sanctuary was the club. Anywhere else they would have to go further. Much like Suko had to do. She stepped forward and places her palms on the cracked table. "When that time comes...we will deal with it." She looked at the table, "But for now...we have someone to fight."

“And what do I say when I get back? Oh sorry to worry you but I trashed my own apartment and went on a two day bender? Ah but the most importantly I got one more day to decide whether or not I want to be a vampire. Yep, they are real.” Laurel said, looking over to Amelia and the paper reading the headline. Great did she have her mother or the department to thank for this? It didn't matter though they had more important things to worry about. Suko was about to start a war and Laurel felt it was her place to be there. She couldn't leave Suko alone. But how much help she would be Laurel wasn't really sure. “As Suko said we have other things to worry about right now. We need to take care of Creighton. Which is why we have a war council out there.”

Suko sighs as she heard Laurel's words spoken like a warrior. Her eyes watched her friend as she crossed her arms with that look of frustration still on her face. "Fine, I'll let you deal with that later." Then she rested her palms on the table. "So...how are you gonna deal with Creighton?" She asked.

Suko smiled. "Just let me handle that."

Just as she said that, there was a knock on the door. A man entered the room, more like one of Suko's bodyguards. "Ma'am, we got a situation."

Suko's nose filled with a sudden scent, a scent she did not recognized. "Creighton."

++++++

At the entrance, the two bouncers allowed several females inside. But they did not noticed when several other vampires arrived and killed the two. There were more than a dozen men standing outside the facility. And just like that, they charged inside the club. Attacking other vampires and pulling out their hearts. The crowd screamed as both vampires and humans became frightened of the situation. Guards and other patrons tried stopping the attackers, but was overwhelmed.

Suko walked to her observation window and watched of what was happening. "Creighton sent his crew after us." She spoke, "But I didn't think he would be dumb enough to attack a sanctuary." She growled as she watched patrons and guards falling one by one. "Let's take care of these assholes."

Suko punched through the window and jumped through the as the glass was falling to the ground. She landed on the ground and the first attacker tried to take her down. Suko however moved swiftly and managed to break his neck first before ripping into his chest and pulled out his heart and squeezed it until it turned into smush.

She watched as Suko effortlessly broke the window and jumped through it. How she was able to do that still amazed Laurel. It was at least a twenty foot jump to the ground. Not to mention the strength it took to punch through a window. When she had still been working a beat Laurel had to break a couple windows with a glass breaker, mostly to get a trapped toddler out when the keys were accidentally locked inside. It had been hard to do even with the tool. Suko made it look so easy. She watched as Amelia jumped down as well. Through the window she could see the attacking crew as well as Suko’s crew running down the stairs. “Well hell.” She said, stepping to jump out the window but paused remembering her gun. She pulled it out and stood at the window shooting at the attackers below. She managed to hit six of them but the other four shots she had missed. Suko had only given her one magazine of the silver bullets. She didn’t think normal ones would do much against the vampires. So she moved to jump again but before she did she noticed a sword hanging on the wall. Laurel pulled it from the wall and removed the scabbard. It was sharp very sharp, not just a decorative piece. From the look of it the sword (https://i.pinimg.com/564x/8a/cd/ee/8acdee53c055414221d0bd511bc67845.jpg) was old with a Asian look to it, she couldn't help but notice the blade was stained with blood.

Laurel went to the broken window again and looked over it briefly before just going for it. She jumped through it and managed to somehow not let out a scream. The ground quickly came to her and landed with one knee and one hand on the ground to keep her balance with the sword behind her. Coming to her feet she grabbed the sword with both hand then swung it around somehow managing to cut into one of Creighton's men. She had never used a sword like this, not that she had used many swords. In fact the only one she had ever used was a fencing sword. Her mother had been on the fencing team in college and had wanted her to join the team. She had but it wasn't her thing and she had only taken one semester before she found track. Another vampire took the first's place and Laurel barely had time to react. She was moving fast than she ever had surprising herself as she was able to hold her own.

Just as she run the man through she felt someone grab her from behind. She tried to struggle against whoever had her but they were strong. As one hand held her around the waist the other grabbed her wrist with the sword in it. They clamped their around her hand forcing the sword to her own neck. It was then that Laurel felt the deep chill that she always did around Creighton. She froze in place and it wasn't just because of the hold he had on her. Creighton released his other hand, the sword and her fear holding her in place. He traced his finger down the blade of the sword across the stained blood, “I'm surprised you still have this. I wouldn't think you could bare to look at it.” He said, not to Laurel but to Suko as she fought across the room. His voice carried causing Suko to turn. As he spoke all of his men stopped fighting and moved to his side of the room flanking him.

Once he was sure he had Suko's attention he focused back on Laurel pulling the sword closer to her throat and lightly cutting it. He wiped his hand through the blood dripping from her throat then onto the sword across the existing blood stain before leaning down and licking it. “Aoibheann I never thought I would see you take up a weapon. I thought it was against your nature. But then again that was a life time ago, several perhaps. I see my child has taken you as a pet, though you haven't fully changed. But she seems to have forgotten one thing. Everything she has is mine.” He said, pulling her closer to him and looking to Suko. “Take this as a reminder of knowing your place. Your pet, now is mine.” He continued to pull Laurel back with the sword pressed firmly to her throat. It wouldn't take much for him to pull it back and cut her head off. As they moved back his men moved in front of them creating a wall, blocking Suko from them. There were too many to fight through and he held Laurel hostage.

Her head slowly turned to the voice who spoke, her eyes widen when she sees the sword touching the neck of her lover and her mouth gasped at the sight of her lover's wet blood touching the dried stain on the metal. She finished off her opponent whom she held in her grip by ripping out his throat. Then punched through his chest and yanked out his heart. Tossing the heart aside like a bean bag, she kept her gaze on Creighton and Laurel. Her own heart felt a sudden pain when she sees Laurel's blood touching her sword, and his words filled her head.

When she first turned into a vampire, she slaughtered her entire village. She was standing there, taking heavy breathes and muttered more. Across from her, was her fiance. "Kaito." She whispered his name. He begged for her to stop. He begged for her to surrender. But she didn't listen, she walked towards him slowly. Licking her lips and breathes slowly while inhaling his scent. Kaito backed away slowly at her pace with only his sword to defend himself. His hands trembled and his body shaken at the sight of his fiance covered in blood.

He lunges forward and strikes a few times on Suko's body. Cut marks shown, but then suddenly healed as she continued walking forward. Her mind was gone and suddenly she finds herself wrapped around Kaito's body. Her lips on his neck, teeth buried deep. When she pulled away, she gasped of what she done. Then she heard a small step nearby. She looked up quickly to see her little sister standing there with a doll in her hands. She wasn't afraid of Suko, nor didn't bother to shed a tear of what happened.

For Suko, she was weeping of what she had done. She took up her fiance's sword and stabbed his heart. At the time, she did not know about how to kill a vampire. But stabbing the heart felt right at the time. She kept the sword with her as a reminder and did not bother to clean the blade because she can still smell the blood on the sword. She promised herself and sworn to protect the next person she fell in love with, whomever that may be.

She growled as the two disappeared back into the hallway. Taking quick steps forward, she attacked the thugs who guarded Creighton's escape. She fought hard, but her lover's scent started to move further away. "Creighton!!!" She screamed his name in the Club.

He pulled her back through the hallway and to a back door. Creighton's grip on her hand loosen, she hadn't realized how tight he had been holding her hand. It had gone numb and when he released her the sword fell to the ground with a clatter. He pulled her through the door and into the alleyway. There were several town cars parked there. Creighton's men filed into the cars as one of them stopped to open the door to one of them. He shoved Laurel into the car entering behind her. The car door had barely closed before the engine hummed to live and they drove down the alleyway. Laurel wasn't sure how long they drove, she lost all track of time staring out the window without really looking at anything. All she could think about was Creighton sitting next to her with his hand resting on her leg. If he spoke she didn't hear the words.

When they arrived wherever they were she was ushered out of the car by Creighton, his arm around her waist guiding her. They were outside a large industrial building but when they walked inside it was anything but. The interior was beautiful looking more like an upscale penthouse, everything inside was luxurious. Laurel barely took it in still only focused on Creighton's hand on the small of her back. He stopped before a pair of woman, (https://i.pinimg.com/564x/bc/9d/54/bc9d5486313c974ac84bb6fb02e0ca09.jpg) they looked like the could be twins but one seemed older than the other. Though not by much and they both looked young maybe nineteen years old at least in appearance. They definitely were sisters at the least and the pale gleam of their skin betrayed their nature as vampires. “Madison, Mckenzie get my pet cleaned up.” Creighton said, and when Laurel didn't move he shoved her to the two women.

With barely a word between them they led Laurel up a set of stairs to a large bed room. Laurel didn't feel like it was Creighton's despite it having that gothic flare that seemed to be his style. Something about it didn't feel like him. She figured it was one of many like it in the building. She was still in a shock like state and didn't resist when Madison and Mckenzie stripped her of her clothes, throwing them in a trash can. They were covered in blood, mostly of the soldiers she had killed and some of her own from when Creighton had cut her neck. As if remembering it she reached up to her neck feeling where the cut had been but it was gone now. Completely healed. Near them was a full length mirror and in it she could see that it wasn't just her clothes covered in blood. She was as well. The girls guided her into the bathroom where there was a large tub and a walk in shower. Mckenzie walked to the tub and began filling it with water and bubble bath while Madison turned the shower on. Or was it the other way around? She waited until the temperature was right then gently pushed Laurel into the shower.

The warm water poured down on Laurel and a moment later both the sisters stepped into the shower just as nude as her. They each grabbed a cloth and began washing Laurel. It was a strange feeling, Laurel had not been washed by someone who wasn't a lover since she was a child. Yet here she was being bathed by two strange woman in the home of a dangerous vampire. Once all the blood and grime was washed off of her she was ushered out of the shower and into the tub. They let her soak in the tub while one of them washed her hair. She wasn't sure which sister it was, they looked so similar and Creighton hadn't indicated which was which. While one washed her hair the other left the room briefly before returning with a long white dress. It was maybe and hour after arriving when Laurel was out of the tub and wearing the dress. The dress (https://i.pinimg.com/564x/7e/da/21/7eda210468fba6185a9ce4bc3a5904c9.jpg) was unlike anything else she had ever worn and seemed out of place in this modern world. It would have fit in more a millennia ago. She was guided into another room by the now dressed sisters. This room seeming twice as large as the last. It was equally extravagant and felt like Creighton, without a doubt she knew this was his room. “Ah Aoibheann, much better. So much like I remember. Though it was thrilling to see you covered in blood with the pose of a warrior.” Creighton said, standing from a chair and walking to her. The sisters stepped back and let him circle around him waiting to be dismissed.

“That isn't my name. It's Laurel and frankly I've never met you before a couple of days ago.” Laurel said, crossing her arms before her, not liking how Creighton looked at her like she was someone else. She recalled the vision she had and how he was there and called her Aoibheann but still didn't know what it meant.

The final thug was killed by Amelia. She watched the body burn to ash on the ground. The man who died squirmed in pain by the fire. Though she didn't pity him since he decided to aid Creighton in the attack on the Sanctuary. She looked around and noticed others conversing with each other right away. Immediately looking for a plan of action to take. But her main attention on her mind was Suko. She looked around the club of dead humans with blood stains everywhere and ash piles laying around. Her eyes finally spots her where Creighton had taken Laurel. Kneeling next to the sword with fresh blood covering the stain.

Walking over slowly. She cautiously approached Suko. "What's our plan?" She asked smoothly over her shoulder. Wondering what was going through Suko. Would she act enraged and tempt fate by attacking head on with Creighton? Will she forget about her? She doesn't know everything about Suko despite the years she had been with her.

A long silence filled the air. Distant talking of others was muffled. Her eyes blurred as she looked at the sword. The metal covered with both stain and fresh blood. The hilt where it felt warm to the touch but cold. Her eyes hard and stern as she kept her gaze on the blood. She could barely hear what Amelia had said. She figured she asked what to do.

Her hand reached out for the hilt. Fingers touching the soft surface of silk covering the metal grip. Her mind raced as she picked up the sword and brought it closer to examine. She could still smell Laurel's blood along with Kaito's. She thought she felt her heart thumped for a moment of reminiscence. Memories gathered quickly of both faces.

Standing on her feet and finally turned slightly to see Amelia standing there. Her expression was empty and confused at the same time. How does she do those expressions she wondered? Licking her lips as she raised up the sword. "We're gonna find him...we're gonna find Laurel...and we're gonna kill Creighton."

She started walking with the sword by her side. She walked past Amelia and the others. "Gather what's left of your men...we'll sneak inside of Creightons warehouse...we know where he is." She looked up to where her office was. The window broken and shattered glass at the bottom. "I'm coming my love." She said quietly to herself.

“Oh you do know me. Only you don't remember. In time it will return to you.” Creighton said, flicking his hand to the sisters causing both of them to retreat to a wall on the far side of the room. He moved her to toward the other chair in the room. Laurel was like a doll being moved around, she wasn't acting on her own. Wherever Creighton lead her she went. She didn't know if it was his vampire abilities or her fear, which was new to her. Laurel wouldn't say she was fearless, a fearless cop was a stupid cop and a dead cop. It took a fair amount of fear to keep you alive. That being said though Laurel was braver most people but right now she was numb with fear from Creighton. It felt like a old fear that had been around for many years. “For now I will grant your request to call you by this incarnation's name. Laurel Kingsley, it is quite fitting for you somehow.”

“Well I am glad you approve.” Laurel said, sarcastically finding a bit of courage. Though being a smart ass was a bit easier than resisting Creighton. She didn't recall ever telling him her last name, wondering a bit how he knew her name then her eyes drifted to a small table between them where a newspaper lay on the table the article about her folded neatly on top.

“Kingsley, meaning the king's meadow. Ironic as your clan lived in the meadows nears the river Dovern and your father the chieftain, a king in his own right.” Creighton said, puzzling Laurel as images of a rolling meadow in the lowlands of Scotland appeared in her mind. She had visited Great Britain before but hadn't traveled into Scotland so she didn't know where the images came from. Creighton picked up an unmarked wine bottle and a pair of glasses which he expertly held with one hand while he filled them. The liquid coming out was a dark red liquid. Darker than most red wines she had seen. It was much thicker as well not pouring like normal wine. Once the glasses were full Creighton set the bottle down and moved one of the glasses to his other hand. He swirled the liquid around in the glass then handed it to Laurel before taking a drink of his own. “It's fresh my dear.”

Laurel without really thinking brought the glass to her lips meaning to drink it until a coppery smell hit her nose. It wasn't wine but blood. She paused with the rim of the glass against her lips, Suko had said that she had to drink human blood to complete the transformation but Laurel didn't know if she had to drink from the vein or not. She didn't want to chance it and threw the glass away from her, it shattering when it hit the ground. Sending shards of glass and splashes of blood around the area, staining the hem of her white dress. The sisters were there in a blink of an eye sweeping up the glass and cleaning the floor. One of them looked to the blood on the dress then to Creighton as if seeking instruction. He glared at her then waved his hand both of them retreating again as the mess was cleaned.

She was on her boat that was out near the ware house buildings near the industrial site. Carefully inserting magazines into her Glock and placed in a holster on her side. Picking up a automatic rifle and carefully inserting another magazine as well. "Silver and UV rounds are a pain in the ass aren't they?" A voice asked Suko.

"It'll be worth it by taking down Creighton." She replied as she pulled the slide and hears a click. "How far are the others?" She asked looking at her crew.

"Amelia and the others arrived at the location and are waiting for orders."

She nodded and looked out through her window to see the building lights shined brightly. The clouds streaked with bolts of lighting and in seconds rain started pouring heavily. Looking over her shoulder and see the sword on her back. Remembering faces as they flashed in her mind. "Once we're ashore, signal the others to attack as a distraction while we sneak through the back doors."

Walking outside to the deck she was covered quickly with rain drops. Hair wet as it sag on her shoulders. Her eyes gazing as the buildings. As she stood one of the crew members walked next to her and asked her one question. "How do you know they are here?" He asked.

"I can sense it." She admitted. "It's a lover thing." She smiled and takes a step forward allowing her body to dive into the ocean with a splash that followed. Others followed her lead and found themselves swimming towards the buildings. It took minutes when they arrived and climbed up the docks. She reached for her radio and clicked to see if it was working properly. A light appeared in the corner and she clicked gently. "Amelia?" She asked softly.

"About time." A voice replied. "We're here and we been waiting for hours and trust me this rain issue is not one of my strong suits."

"Deal with it." Suko growled. "We're ready here. Start your attack."

"Fine." In seconds there was shooting echoing in the distance then an explosion.

Suko reached for her radio. "I said a distraction not World War 3!"

"Hey you try not get shot at while near a gas tank."

Suko shooked her head and moved quickly while keeping her rifle up.

Creighton appeared to be about to say something when the sound of gunfire echoed by. Some people could mistake a car backfiring for gunfire but Laurel had been around guns enough to know the difference. It was followed with the sound of an explosion which rocked the room. Laurel's training kicked in and she reached for her gun finding nothing there. She was grabbed by the arm and dragged from the room by Creighton. They moved from room to room being met by several of his guards until they reached set of stairs and went down into a basement. The basement walls were lined with weapons ranging from daggers to swords and guns. She saw weapons starting at a stiletto and going all the way to a rocket launcher.

Laurel was thrust into another chair as each of the guards started arming themselves, Creighton as well. As they moved around no one was really paying attention to Laurel. She stood up and walked to a wall full of bladed weapons. The others were focusing mostly on the gun and a set of video monitors, so no one noticed when she grabbed a sword. On the monitors Laurel could see the outside of the building being attacked and even caught a quick glance of Amelia running by. She started backing up to the stairs without any paying attention to her.

At the top of the stairs she found the twins each of them standing at the door with a sword in their hands. They were focused at anything coming toward the stairs not from the stairs. Laurel was able to get the drop on them and struck one across the back of the head knocking her to the ground. The other spun around crossing swords with her.

While the fight took place in the front of the area. Suko done her best to stay hidden while moving quickly as she could. She spotted a few others with guns rushing to help and fight. She manage to take them out with the rifle she held. Each shot she fired was suppressed. Her targets were hit with the bullets and suddenly burst into flames and ash. She growled softly as she continued moving on her own while the others continued searching in other areas.

She reached for her mic and gently pressed it. "Amelia?" She said softly. "How's the front lines?" She asked curiously.

Amelia replied with gunfire in the back ground. "Beautiful!" She shouted. "Find your girlfriend and get the hell out of here!"

She smiled slightly and continued searching her way through the building. She moved inside shooting a couple more guards. Watching their bodies turn to ash was amusing and wanted to see more. She stopped when she heard something like metal clanking. She followed the noise and soon her nose smelled a familiar scent. Gasping in surprise she quickly move to find the source. Her nose lead her to a stairway area and followed it down. The noise of metal clanking grew louder as she was getting closer. Once she was at the bottom of the stairs she finds Laurel fighting a girl with a sword. She watched while keeping the barrel of her gun pointed at her foe. She looked at the one on the ground and realized she was only wound. Suko aimed the gun at her head and pulled the trigger and finished her off by shooting the heart. The girl screamed and body turned into fire and ash.

Fighting with the twin must have been a sight for anyone watching it. With the dress she was wearing and the sword fight it had to look like something out of a Peter Jackson film aside from the sound of gunfire and explosions in the background. Another shot rang out this one sounding much closer than the others. Laurel's first thought was someone was shooting at her which was surprising with how important Creighton seemed to think she was. He wouldn't allow one of his men to shoot at her. Then a loud shriek from the twin she was fighting told her whoever was shooting wasn't aiming for her. “Madison!” She heard Mckenzie scream and looked over to the knocked out twin just in time to see her explode into a cloud of dust.

Laurel wanted to look around and see where the shot had come from but Mckenzie seemed to recover from the loss of her sister going into a rage charging at Laurel. She was just barely able to dodge a angry slash at her. Laurel brought her sword up blocking another blow. Mckenzie was using so much force that her hands shook from the vibration, it took everything in her not to drop the blade. The two women moved around in a circle trading blows until Laurel's back was to Suko blocking any chance of a shot the vampire had. Mckenzie was moving so fast it was becoming quite difficult for Laurel to keep up and she had already earned a few cuts on her arms, one on her thigh and another on her side. It this rate it wasn't looking good for Laurel she was already out matched in her sword skills. The one semester of fencing wasn't comparable to whatever training Mckenzie had. Add in that Mckenzie was in a frenzy at her sister's death and Laurel was in trouble.

After killing the girl on the ground, she aimed her weapon at the second whom was sword fighting with Laurel. Her face expression scrunched each time her shot was block and couldn't fire off a round. She tossed the weapon aside and reached for the sword on her back. Slowly pulling it out of it's sheath she waited for a opportunity to strike. She sees Laurel was in trouble and couldn't keep up with the other. Once she was able to see a opening, she took it.

Pushing Laurel aside and block the fatal strike that could have ended Laurel. Suko moved quickly and fast like the other. Blocking attacks mostly feeling the hard strikes again'st her own. Her eyes kept watch at her every movement. Thinking where to strike to maim but every blow was fast and didn't leave a second for a counter attack. Instead she used herself as the bait while Laurel catch her breath and wait for the next moment to strike. 'I can move faster than you...but you need to finish her off!' She spoke in her mind as though she was speaking out loud to Laurel.

She felt herself pushed out of the way and that was when she realized how tired she was. Laurel found herself barely able to stand finally realizing how much the fight was taking out of her. She may have vampiric abilities but Mckenzie was a full vampire while Laurel was basically on a trial run. Standing there panting for a while she watched Suko fight until she heard her voice in her mind. It was enough to kick her into gear and she charged at Mckenzie. She struck from behind and caught the remaining twin off guard. It was a dirty move but Laurel didn't care at this point. Mckenzie was one of Creighton's minions and not a good person. The vampire turned to dust leaving both the woman standing there with swords in hand.

There was a brief pause then Laurel was in Suko's arms kissing her and ignoring the sounds of battle around them. Amelia was still outside blowing things up. How the sounds of the battle hadn't drawn in the National Guard was a mystery to Laurel. This place should have been swarming with cops and soldiers. But nothing else mattered to Laurel right now except being in Suko's arms. Hearing her voice in her head had allowed Laurel to ignore everything along with the feeling of their bodies pressed together.

She lowered her guard down and sighs softly as she sees the sword piercing through her foe's chest. The screams echoed in the room as the young girl turned into ash and dust. Once she turned into powder, her eyes see her lover behind the pile of ash. Standing there, calmly breathing as she opened her arms and hugged the woman close and her lips pressing again'st hers. The two stood there while the fighting outside continued on. Her ear ringed from the headphone she was wearing.

"Did you find her yet?!" Amelia asked on the other line.

Suko laughed softly and smiled. Leaning back a little and pressed a button on her headset. "I found her." She replied. "What's the situation outside?"

"Fantastic." Amelia sarcastically said. "Creighton was out here and now he's gone. I had that bastard in my sight too." There was a low growl. "We got company, I guess the local police department are bringing in a army. Heavy SWAT teams and helicopters. But it will be a while before they try and charge in."

Suko looked to Laurel. "We gotta move and get you out of here." She said softly. "Creighton is on the move...I can't let that asshole escape from me again." She gripped on her sword and sighs softly. "Listen...once the sun rises...you'll be back to being a human." She turned to face towards the window and sees the sun climbing over slowly. "I'd say an hour or less." She handed over her rifle which was loaded with UV Rounds and a few extra magazines she carried. "Your no good with a sword." She smiled and takes her weapon. "But I am...and no not because I'm Japanese." She chuckled softly. "Because I had over hundreds of years of training for this kind of weapon." She placed the second sword on her back and strapped it tight. "And also for your safety too." She gives a little nod. "You ready?"

Laurel nodded to what Suko said then they both ran outside. It really was a war zone out here, making Laurel wonder what Amelia did before being turned. She imagined her as some sort of warrior princess excited to see the advances in modern warfare. Something kinda like Xena meets Rambo. Bombs were going off everywhere as both sides fought with everything from knives to rocket launchers. As they ran dodging bullets, blades and bombs Laurel felt herself growing tired. Suko said the trial run would wear off soon and she felt herself growing weak. She had been running twice as fast as she had ever ran in track. She fell behind Suko feeling weaker by the second. Out of breath she stopped to try to catch it. She knew stopping here was a bad idea but she was exhausted. It proved to indeed be a bad idea as someone grabbed her from behind.

The moment that arm was around her neck Laurel felt that icy chill she always felt around Creighton. There was no need to struggle to look behind her, she knew who had grabbed her. “Where are you going my dear?” Creighton asked. Laurel finally regained her wits and tried to break free of his grip but barely moved. “Are you even trying?” Creighton said, leaning in and smelling Laurel, “Or has my child's little experiment wore off? Much better as now you will be mine.”

A scream escaped her lips as she felt his teeth plunged into her neck. It was painful not at all like when Suko and her had fed on each other. Before it had been pleasurable, erotic even. Fear, pain and hopelessness coursed through her as she could feel the blood draining from her. Everything was getting blurry it was hard to see and to stand. She barely felt it as something was pressed to her mouth, a warm coppery liquid dripping onto her tongue and down her throat. It tasted strange, she knew it was blood but it didn't taste like Suko's blood. This was bitter. Then everything stopped, the liquid in her mouth, the arm around her neck, everything. She stood there for a moment on her own then fell to the ground. Just as everything was getting dark she could see a figure running away from her. Another figure was running toward her along with a group of green blurs that were closure to her than the other lone figure. She felt several pairs of hands grab her and muffled sounds of orders being shouted. From there Laurel didn't know what happened as everything went black.

The sounds of gunfire echoed in the background and fire flashed from explosion. A man in heavy armored gear with a rifle by his side was giving out orders to other officers who wore the same thing. Walker was among the crew as he strapped a vest on and grabbed a few extra magazines for his side arm but grabbed a rifle as well. "It's a war zone down there." Walker said to the Sergeant who was checking his equipment. "We are going to need more men soon."

The Sergeant chuckled with a smile. "This is everybody." He waved a finger around. "We have at least a hundred men ready." He looked at Walker with a grin. "Relax, the Captain said to get the situation under control as fast as possible." There was another explosion. "And we better get down there. The usual engagement rules. Only fire when fired upon."

Walker shook his head, "Self Defense has come a long way." He walked to his car and followed the convoy to the war zone area. In minutes the armored trucks were being shot at from every direction and his radio was going off from the chatter. "Target west side!" and "Multiple hostiles on the roofs!!" He stopped the car when someone yelled, "RPG!" And his car flipped over. He survived somehow and managed to get out of the flipped over car. Gun fire shooting from all sides. He fired his weapon several times when he sees a target and sees them go down quick. His ears ringing from the explosions around him and he walked his own path to take cover and secure the area.

Mean while Amelia and her crew was searching for Suko and Laurel and when she came around a corner and spotted Creighton biting on the woman's neck she growled and moved towards the two. Suko however was a little busy stabbing her enemies and when she turned to witness what Creighton had done. She screamed and charged with sword at the side. Though when Creighton had run she stopped and kneels next to Laurel. Checking her wound and bite mark she could tell she would change but it would be very painful. Amelia ordered several of her men to pick her up and take to them to the boats while she fired off more rounds where Creighton had run off.

Once they were on the docks and Amelia was the last yet behind the group. She stopped when she heard feet running from behind her. She quickly turned to see Walker pointing his gun at her and vice versa. There was a silent moment between the two. "You know how much fucking paper work I have to fill out now?" He questioned Amelia with an anger tone.

Amelia shook her head. "Don't be a bitch about it then...little brother." And smiled.

Suko was next to Laurel. Checking her situation and looked at some of the areas of where she could see black blood flowing through. "I can try and extract it...but it be even more painful if I tried." She looked at the unconscious woman. "And also hurt me if I do." She takes in a deep breath and looked to the others. "Put a bullet in me if I become something else." She grabbed Laurel's hand and sees the black blood flowing in her vein. She bites into her lover's flesh and begun extracting. Her mouth felt a burning sensation and was only getting worse as she continued.

Laurel partially woke up but not enough to fully grasp what was going on. She felt someone pick her up and was jarred around as whoever was carrying her was running. Everything around her was a blur and her head was spinning. She wasn't sure how long she was carried before she could smell salt on the air. A moment later she was on the rocking deck of a boat. They must have been on one of Suko's yachts. She was placed on a soft surface and could see someone leaning over her. Her eyes were too clouded to make out who it was but she had a feeling it was Suko. The other woman picked up her wrist, bringing it up to her lips and bit into sucking the blood from her vein. It burned not feeling anything like when Suko had fed on her before. It wasn't pleasurable, instead hurting more than she ever had before.

Laurel's body sat up trying to jerk away from Suko but she was held tight by the vampire. A loud scream came from her lips and it was a good thing they were heading out to sea. The scream didn't sound human and sounded like a death cry. That was more than she could take and soon Laurel passed out again, not sure if she would ever wake up again or what she would be if she did wake up. She knew she had been bitten by Creighton and forced to drink his blood. Would she survive the changing process? She didn't know. Hell Laurel didn't even know if she wanted to change. She hadn't been able to make up her mind during Suko's test run.

Her mouth burned from the blood. The taste has gone dull and her body started to ache with pain. She continued sucking out the black blood until there was none left. Forcing her eyes to open to see her lover. The darkness that ran through her body was gone. She started to taste Laurel's own blood and pulled away as quick as she can. Her body arched up and her mouth covered in black. Growling with pain and screams she laid on her back and felt every inch of her body purging with a burning feeling. The other watched in horror of what was happening.

Amelia arrived in time with her brother to see the woman on the ground. She kneel's next to Suko and held her in place. She held her down to prevent her from moving anywhere further. Her eyes darted up to see Laurel's condition returning to normal. And by normal, her trial run was nearly ending.

"Look." She said while holding Suko down. "She's gonna turn into something that is far more dangerous than you and I." Suko wiggled around like something was more painful then a burn. She even screamed loudly among her own lungs. "If we don't kill Creighton as soon as possible, she become something you will have to kill." She looked at Laurel's fair skin and then her eyes as they slowly changed. "If you want to save her...you know what must be done." Her attention moved to Walker. "Well baby brother." She grunted from holding Suko. "Now is your chance to get bitten by a deadly woman."

Walker chuckled as he walked over to Laurel and kneels down while pushing his sleeves up and revealed his whole arm. "What a fantasy you have sister." He looked to Laurel. "It's okay, just....don't drink my blood entirely or she will have a hussy fit about resurrecting me like them."

Waking up Laurel was groggy, her head was clouded and she was having a hard time recalling what happened. The night of the battle at Creighton's mansion was a blur. Laurel could barely remember it. She vaguely recalled Walker in front asking to be bit but she didn't know if she did it or not. She stood up from the bed she was sleeping in. Looking down she was wearing a pair of dark red silk pajamas. She didn't remember putting them on or where she was. She walked over to the door of the room meaning to explore around and find out where she was but when she grabbed the handle to turn it nothing happened. She couldn't turn it. The door was locked. A burning sensation coursed through her body, it wasn't painful but rather it was like a rage. She was furious that the door wouldn't open and she wanted to rip it off the hinges. Laurel's hand tightened around the door handle and she puled with all her strength. The door creaked and groaned but it didn't budge. Looking at it the door was made completely of steel. Laurel let go of the handle and slammed her fists against the door but still nothing happened.

After several minutes of pounding on the door she gave up with a growl and walked away from the door. Her hands were red but not bleeding, with how hard she was hitting that door her hands should have been bleeding. She also should have been hot and sweating up a storm but she was perfectly fine not the least bit frazzled. Laurel looked around the room it was nicely furnished with a bed, a lounge chair, a desk and a dresser. Everything was nice but had a real homey feel to it. This wasn't furniture you would find in a New York penthouse, the was furniture your grandma would have in her home. Laurel walked over to the window looking out. Everything was dark there wasn't a single light source around. Well in the far distance she could see little specs of light but whatever it was it was pretty far away. She stood there staring out the window a while when everything in front of her lit up as a beam of light rolled across her view. Looking up she noticed the beam was above her and slowly moving around. The light lit up everything in front of her and she could see she was at least ten stories up and was on an island. There was water in front of her as far as she could see. A light house, she was in a light house. She had recalled being on a boat this is where they must have taken her.

Moving away from the window she looked around the room again seeing a ice bucket sitting on the desk with what looked like a wine bottle in it. Laurel picked the bottle up realizing she was parched. She pushed the cork out meaning to pick up a glass that had been sitting on the desk but a coppery smell hit her nose and it was the most pleasant thing she had ever smelled. Not bothering with the glass she brought the bottle to her lips and started taking a drink. It started out as just a sip but before she knew it she was chugging from the bottle getting just as much on her shirt as she was in her mouth. A moment later the bottle was empty and she looked down noticing the spilled drink was the same blood red color as the shirt she was wearing. Wiping a little off her neck she looked at the red stain on her finger smelling it. “Blood.” She said, aloud still looking at it. She had just drank a whole bottle of blood. It hadn't tasted like when she had drank Suko's blood during the test run. This was sweeter and somehow fresher. Without having anything to compare it to she somehow knew that it was human blood.

There was a knock on the door and a click sounded off. The door creaked open and slowly. The creaking made a weary awe sound. The door came to a full open and a Male figure stood at the doorway. "About time you woke up." The man said with his eyes bright as hers. He walked out of the shadows and revealed himself. Laurel's partner. He had a smile on his face gives a soft chuckle. "You been out for a while now." He gives a nod towards the door. "Let's go. Amelia wants to speak with you about Suko's condition.

He walked out of the room and guided the woman. "You were really something when you took a good bite out of me." He said while he showed his arm pulling up his sleeve. Revealing two bite marks near his wrist. "You wouldn't let go and nearly killed me. But thanks to Amelia she somehow got you off. Although you was blood thirsty at the time." He moved through the hallway towards a staircase and headed up. "When we got here you was still frantic so we had no choice to lock you up in that room. So far it's the strongest room of this place." Once they arrived to the top there was several guards at the door way playing cards.

"This is it." He said as he side stepped but reached to her first. "Just a heads up. Her condition is bad. So be brief with Amelia and Suko. Once we find Creighton's hide out we smoke him out. Got it?" He let's go and opened the door for her.

In the room. Suko was laying on a bed with multiple cords that were attached to her. Flowing with fresh blood and something else. A blue color liquid slowly entering her body. Her body covered with black veins and pale skin. Her eyes looked like she had been up for days and lips cracked like she hadn't drink water for years. Her bed in the middle of the room while doctors around her worked the clock to keep her alive for as long as possible. And Amelia was at one of the computers checking her vitals. "Finally your awake. We can get this show on the road now." She didn't bother to turn and look. "As still breathing...so to speak. But she has only hours left and we're trying to prolong that time extension but its clocking down fast." She takes her glasses off and walked over to Suko. "Our spies are doing their best to find Creighton. But I have a hunch about something and if you are willing to do it. We can find him quicker."

"You want me to track him." Laurel said, closing her eyes. Since she had woken up aside from the rage she had felt something pulling her. Drinking the blood had helped calm the rage but there still was that pull. With eyes still closed she turned in a circle making a full rotation the going about a quarter turn more. She knew without a doubt that was the direction Crieghton was in. When she opened her eyes she could see out the window just as the lamp from the lighthouse was illuminating the sea, she was facing the mainland. Laurel turned away from the window and looked to the bed Suko looked so frail. She actually looked like the undead creature she was and not the beautiful temptress Laurel had fallen in love with.

"She didn't get all of his poison out of me." Laurel said it like a fact. It wasn't a question, she knew it to be true. She sat down on the edge of the bed brushing her hand through Suko's hair. It had lost that shine to it and felt coarse. "It's going to kill her and it wasn't even enough. I'm still bound to him." She paused then stood walking to the window looking out it. "What he did to me wasn't natural." With this statement it sounded more like a question like Laurel was unsure. "I'm not like you or her." Laurel said gesturing to Amelia and Suko, "There is something dark inside of me, a corruption. If I kill him will it go away or will I always be like this?" She asked, even though she wasn't sure Amelia had the answers.

"Usually if the source is killed. Everything will go back to normal." She said as she walked over to the window and looked outside. You already have the taste for human blood so your an official Vampire. Still a new born although that is always a good thing. New Borns are the strongest." She takes a look at Laurel before turning her attention back to the outside world. "As for what Creighton had done to you?" She was quiet for a moment.

"Your lucky you have Suko do that for you." She placed her arms behind her back. "Otherwise if she hadn't you would have been a slave to Creighton. A Vampire with no mind of her own. Doing whatever bidding Creighton gives you." She looked at her watch and back to Laurel. "So...I have one question for you." She walked over to where Suko was laying and examined her. "Are you gonna stand around and watch her die?" Then shifted her attention to her brother. "Or are you gonna help Laurel find and kill Creighton?" Asked while staring at him whom only smirked.

"There is a armory depot just below the building. UV rounds, garlic smoke grenades, silver bombs and bullet proof vests. The guns are all military. A gift from Japan." He chuckled. "And also there is a helipad just east of the coastline. Either we can go by air or by sea. He can see us coming from both ways."

It didn't matter if they went by air or sea if Creighton was going to see them coming. But then again he had to know they were going to come after him. Suko and his feud had reached its peak. For years it was a cold war poking back and forth, though now it was a raging fire. That and Laurel had a feeling her wouldn't be letting her go. No he wouldn't be letting Aoibheann go. It was the first time she had thought of her past life since turning and it felt clearer than it had ever felt before. She could remember Aoibheann's life. Laurel thought of asking Amelia about it but Aoibheann felt so personal. She wanted to ask Suko but to do that they had to stop Creighton. How though? They had attacked with an army before and failed. Laurel was thinking a smaller more direct assault force might do better. They would need the element of surprise. But how?

Laurel started pacing in the room as she thought trying to figure out the best way to get there. The room was lit by a series of small lamps around the room making it very poorly lit. As she walked around moving in and out of the light. She took a step into a dark corner but when she stepped out of the shadow she wasn't in Suko's room anymore. She now was back in the room she had woken up in. It didn't make any sense. How had this happened. Briefly thinking back she recalled how Suko had been able to control water. Each vampire had a special power. Was this hers? What was it. She didn't know how she had been able to teleport to the room. She thought hard about teleporting back to Suko's room but nothing happened. A few curses left her mouth after each failed attempt. Her hand balled up then shot out and punched the thing closest to her, which happened to be a lamp. It exploded into pieces and sent the room into darkness. Another curse escaped her mouth. Laurel walked to where she remembered the door was. She took two steps and walked into some light realizing she wasn't in the room anymore.

The room was small and there were boxes stacked up against the walls. It looked like some kind of store room. “What the hell?” Laurel said, then stepped back into the shadow. When she stepped out of it she wasn't in the store room but in the kitchen. “Okay, but how do I go where I want?” Laurel said, thinking about the armory as she stepped into the shadow. She stepped out into a room full of weapons lining the walls. Laurel walked to a wall covered with swords. She picked a curved saber like sword and strapped it onto her hip. The she walked to the shadow and out into Suko's room. The others were arguing where she had went. “I think there may be another way.” Laurel said, to Amelia and Walker's back the two yelling at each other.

Amelia was about to explain some entry points they could try and locate. But when she turned to look at Laurel; she was gone. "Where did she go?" She asked aloud and curiously looked around the room. "Walker?!"

Her brother had done the same and looked around. "How the hell should I know?" He replied as he was confused as Amelia.

Her ears perked up when she had seen Laurel again but this time with a sword. She smirked and looked at Laurel with a bit of a surprise look on her face.

"So you finally discovered your power?" She gives a slight nod. "Impressive." Then turned her attention to Walker. "He discovered his not long after you bit him."

Walker smirked and looked at Laurel. "Apparently I can go invisible."

Amelia walked over to Laurel and stood so close, Amelia could smell Creighton off of her. "This is your call. We can cause a diversion like last time. And you find Creighton and kill him while we fight off his guards." She reached behind and pulled a gun out of her holster. "And you put one silver round to his heart and one to his head. "We'll move on your go." She looked over to Suko. "And we don't have much time. Take us to Creighton. The Specialists are with you."

Walker had lead Laurel back to the armory and there was a small team that was put together whom were ready to fight. They were checking their weapons and restocked their ammo pouches. One of them approached Laurel and hand her a vest. "Here." He said and also handed a glock pistol. "Ammo box is over there." He pointed and gives a nod. "So we been told you can teleport through shadows?" He asked. "A rare feat for a vampire. Very rare. And now we can move twice as fast then before." He walked over to a.table that had boxes of ammo. "All we have to do is hold on to you and we'll be there. My men are ready and also here." He handed over a war piece radio. "Just in case we get separated."

Walker stood beside Laurel. "Nervous?" He asked.

She took the vest and the gun from the soldier looking at it, she had worn a vest like this before so it wasn't unfamiliar to her but it didn't feel right. None of this felt right. It sounded like Amelia had a good solid plan but not right. They had attacked Creighton in a large group the last time. It ended in Laurel being bitten and Suko on her death bed from trying to pull the poisoned blood from her. “This isn't going work.” Laurel said, setting the gun and the vest down on the table. She found herself pacing the room again as she thought but this time she didn't disappear in the shadows. “I need to go alone. We go in guns blazing and he will surround himself with guards. None of us will be able to get anywhere near him.”

Laurel looked to Amelia having a feeling that she was going to protest and she wouldn't be wrong. Laurel didn't know how she would react to Creighton. Suko had tried to break the bond but she hadn't been able to completely do it. Whether or not she would be able to kill Creighton she didn't know.

Amelia had folded her arms and there was a scowl on her face. An expression of disapproval. She looked to her brother and the men who prepared for a fight. Though she had to admit. What Laurel had said was true. They had attacked in a large group in an attempt to kill Creighton but failed. Although they were successful in saving Laurel from a certain fate but were still on edge. She looked to window and noticed it had begun to rain again. The sounds of thunder was distant but was moving closer.

"Fine." She said. "But I still rather have someone go with you to help fight. If I don't send someone." She unfolded her arms and placed one hand on her hip. "I'll never hear the end of it from Suko." Her eyes turned to her brother Walker. "You stay here." She walked over to the table and picked up the vest and pistol. She also reached for a suppressor for the pistol and attached it. "I'll go with you. That asshole took something from us as well." She faced Laurel and stood close to her. "And I want a little payback for that bastard." She turned her attention to Walker. "Keep an eye on Suko." She walked towards the shadow and waited. "Well come on." She said softly. Checking her vest and pulled the slide of the gun. "He'll smell you coming...you know that right?" She asked while looking at the dark wall. "But he won't smell me. I'm someone's else."

“It's likely we'll walk right into a fight. I'm still figuring this out I don't know where he is so I am going to focus on our bond and walk us there. I'll try to get us a ways from him but I am not sure it will work.” Laurel said, she didn't want to think of the pull she had to Creighton let alone focus on it. Laurel drew her sword then walked over to Amelia took her hand guiding them into the shadow. She expected to step into whatever room Creighton was hiding in but instead she was in a white room. No it wasn't a room at all. It was just a vast open white space. She was alone, Amelia had not jumped with her to wherever this was. Laurel glanced around trying to figure out where she was when she heard footsteps behind. She quickly spun around her knuckles white on the hilt of the sword. She was shocked at what she saw. There walking toward her was herself, wearing a long flowing white robe. “Aoibheann.” She said, putting the sword away not feeling threatened anymore.

“I'm not Aoibheann.” The woman said, coming to a stop just before Laurel.

“Who are you then?” Laurel asked confused about this, where was she and who was this woman before her. Nothing anymore seemed to make sense. She was starting to wish she never staked out that night club several weeks ago.

“I'm you.” The woman said, pausing a moment and smiling at Laurel. “Or rather you are me.”

“Is this supposed to make any sense to me? Because frankly it's not.” Laurel said, she was getting real tired of all this cryptic bullshit.

“I would imagine it would be difficult for a mortal to understand.” The woman said.

“Look lady you got five seconds to start explaining or I am out of here.” Laurel said, meaning to walk off though she had not idea where she would go in this nothingness. “Start with who you are. Give me your name at least.”

“I've had many names all of them forgotten to time.” The woman said, pacing around Laurel seeming to examine her. “Who am I? The better question is who was I. Long ago in a civilization also forgotten to time I was their goddess. I was courted by another of our gods I refuted him though he didn't accept my rejection.”

“Creighton.” Laurel said, feeling this story was familiar. Though she didn't know how. She was a future life of Aoibheann could they both be a future life of this woman?

“Yes, I do believe that is a name associated with the god. But Creighton isn't fully this god just as you aren't fully me.” The woman said, stopping and looking to Laurel. “I've confused you again. Allow me to continue and perhaps it will make more sense. The god started a war in the heavens and on the earth, vowing only to stop if I submitted to him. I couldn't give into him. He wanted more than just me, he wanted to bond with me to inherit my powers. If I submitted to him then he would be unstoppable. I could not allow him that power. A god can die but it isn't easy. The most common death of a god is when people stop believing in them. But they can be killed. It takes a great deal of power. That is what I tried to do. I feigned giving into him and then I attacked. I was successful but at the cost of my own life. What I didn't expect was for our essence to be poured into the mortal life force. Over the years both he and I have been reborn many times. Aoibheann and you are two of those rebirths. His turning into a vampire gave him more power just as yours grants you more. If he were to get your power he would be unstoppable.”

“So what you want me to stop him?” Laurel said, trying to process this. “How if you a god couldn't stop him.”

“No I couldn't stop him as a god but you can as he is mortal now. You need the right tools.” The woman said, a knife appearing in her hand. “This is a soul blade. With it you can kill Creighton and destroy the essence of the god.” Laurel held out her hand thinking the woman would hand it to her but she didn't. “This isn't the actual knife only a image of it. Fortunately for us Creighton owns the real blade though he doesn't know what it is. Find it in his home and kill him but it must be with the knife or he will only be reborn.” The woman waved her hand and a blackness appeared before them. “Walk through this and you will appear where you intended.”

Laurel nodded, drawing her sword again then stepped through the darkness. When she stepped out she was holding Amelia's hand and the woman seemed to have no idea of what happened. She looked around the room they were in, it was a study and Creighton sat in a lounge chair. He was alone and at he sight of them he jumped to his feet. The chair he had been was knocked over drawing the attention of the guards outside. Amelia quickly engaged with them shouting to Laurel, “Do it!”

She moved toward Creighton pressing her sword to his chest but she didn't move to stab him nor did he move away from her. “Yes, dear do it. Or can you?” Creighton said, looking at her ignoring the sword.

Laurel held the sword the words of the woman in her mind. She had to find this knife. To do that she had to get Creighton to let his guard down. Amelia grew quiet and Laurel looked over to see the other woman had taken out the guards. She aimed her gun at Creighton but before she could shoot Laurel spun toward her with her sword. She pierced it into Amelia's chest just above her heart. It would hurt but it would not kill her. Laurel pushed Amelia back and into a large unlit fireplace. As Laurel pulled the blade out she pushed Amelia into the shadow thinking of Suko's rooms. Amelia disappeared and Laurel kicked up the dust. From Creighton's view it would look as if Laurel had killed Amelia. She dropped the sword then turned to Creighton.

Amelia landed on the ground hard but in a different room where she felt was familiar. Suko was still laying on the bed and slowly sat up to see what the commotion was. When she had seen who it was she lets out a soft gasp. "What happened?" She asked with her raspy voice.

"I don't know but I don't like it." Amelia said as she stood on her feet, dusting off the dirt on her clothes. "But I had a feeling she was gonna do something like this." She walked over to Suko's bed and stood there looking at her. "I placed a tracker on her before we left. There is a helicopter enroute to their location now, my brother is on it and he'll keep us updated of situation."

Suko leans up again but felt more pain as she tried to do so. She stopped halfway when she felt a hand on her shoulder. "Then we better get moving. I won't lay on a bed and do nothing." She growled as she slowly pushed the hand away. Pulling the IV's out of her body and slowly walking towards the door. "I need a Fixer." She said aloud.

Amelia looked to one of the doctors and nodded. She was given a syringe filled with a drug known as Fixer to vampires. It helped it more ways then blood ever could. Giving the vampire an adrenaline to boost their speed, strength and healing capabilities. But the only catch is the addiction they have to fight off. It stays in their system for so long it will force the vampire to take another hit to feel calm and be normal.

A hour later, Suko's helicopter arrived to the coordinates where Laurel's last location was known. Once the helicopter has landed, the scout team that arrived first had already taken care some of the guards on patrol. One of the scouts greeted Suko and Amelia. "Ma'am they are now infiltrating the building and we might have found Creighton and Laurel. Something weird is going on in there."

Suko looked to the building. It was dark, the storm continued to rain and burst with lighting. Flashing the building for a moment or two. She nodded and looked to Amelia, reaching out her hand for the syringe. Amelia had a pause before giving her the drug. Handing it over, Suko jabs the needle into her skin and pushed down the drug into her system. Once it was done, she pulled out the needle and dropped it. Her body suddenly felt energized and was moving suddenly. She could hear the gunfire coming from one side of the building.

"This is shadow six, we breached the main hall where Laurel is located. Taking multiple firing and ahhh!!" The radio cuts off. She rushed inside the building and started sniffing for Laurel's scent. "I"m coming my love." She said softly and followed the trail.

“Well done my pet.” Creighton said, reaching out and stroking Laurel's cheek. She took a step closer to him and hated herself for what she did next, leaned into his hand. A devilish smirk crossed his face as he continued to cup her cheek. Laurel needed to get him to let down his guard, to distract him so she could look for the knife. Raising her hands up she brushed her hands across his chest, he was wearing a button up shirt though it hung open on his chest. He wasn't what you would call muscular but he was toned. She traced her fingers around his chest then pushed the shirt off his shoulders before leaning in an kissing him. The kiss felt so wrong and not just that Laurel wasn't into men, the only lips she wanted to kiss was Suko's lips. The fact it was Creighton felt so dirty. He seemed to enjoy it, returning the kiss as his own hands wandered all over her body undoing the buttons on her shirt and dropping it to the floor with his own, neither of them noticing the small round tracker on the back of the shirt. “Come my pet, lets go somewhere more appropriate.” He said.

“Yes master.” Laurel said, that word 'master' bringing yet another devilish smile to his face. Creighton was enjoying his conquering of Aoibheann. He lead her from the study to a bedroom. There were display cases all over the room, many of them containing knives. He pressed her to the bed much to fast for Laurel to be able to tell if anyone of them was the knife the goddess had shown her. She wouldn't be able to look now she needed to bid her time and push through what was happening. Laurel closed her eyes and tried to think of Suko as he explored her body.

-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-

Close to an hour later Laurel lay with her head on Creighton's chest, he had finished twenty minutes ago and she was just waiting for him to fall asleep. Laurel felt so sick and dirty with what happened. She wanted nothing more than to shower and then fall into Suko's arms begging for her forgiveness and crying into her true love's shoulders. She had a feeling he was asleep but hadn't moved just yet not wanting to move too soon and wake him. Laurel brushed her fingers across his chest and when he didn't move she slid out of the bed walking to a chair where one of Creighton's shirts was lying. She slipped it on then moved to the display cases looking through them trying to find the one that the goddess had shown her. There on the top shelf in the center was the knife. She reached for the handle and pulled but it was locked. Breaking the glass would wake up Creighton, she had to find the key. It was hard with the lights off but she could see better than before becoming a vampire. Scanning the room the best she could Laurel looked around spotting a cup of keys on a desk. There had to be at least twenty keys in the cup and she stood their trying them all looking back to Creighton every so often to make sure he was still asleep. Then finally with only a few keys left she found the one that worked.

Laurel picked up the knife and felt a jolt of energy shoot through her. That made her think this definitely was the right knife. She moved back to the bed stopping right on the edge of the bed. Carefully she knelt over Creighton and held the knife up ready to stab him in the chest but before she could plunge it down the house was rocked with an explosion and the sound of gunfire. It woke Creighton up who saw her hovering above her with the knife. “Traitorous bitch!” Creighton said, throwing Laurel from him and to the floor.

In the main hall of the mansion building. There were two sides that exchanged gun fire. Hiding behind pillars and continued firing at each other. Some of the men yelled orders and others would ignore and continued shooting. One of Amelia's men was shot in the arm, he took cover quickly and groaned in pain from the UV Bullet. He was grazed. Instead of treating his wound, he removed the empty clip from his weapon and grabbed another from his vest and loaded his weapon. He was about to pull the slide back until he saw Suko coming to the hall quick. She was moving fast as though she was on a mission.

She moved faster then before and jumped over the stairs that led to the main hall. She had a sword in her hand and once she landed on the other side, she started slicing through her opponents like butter. Each died stabbed and sliced turned into ash. The sword was made from pure silver and apparently costed a lot of money to create it.

After clearing out Creighton's goons she stopped and sniffed the air several times. She followed Laurel's scent that led towards another staircase. She moved once again with quick haste. The men that were behind recovered quickly and dealt with another wave that was the reinforcements.

She reached to the top and noticed a door. She rushed towards it and kicks the door open, shattering the wooden doors apart. She stopped and looked around and noticed Laurel and Creighton were not wearing any kind of clothing. It did not take long for she knew what happened. The view of this only made her angry and clouded her judgement. "I am gonna rip you apart Creighton." She growled and walked slowly towards him.

He chuckled and smiled with a large grin. "You can try." He said with a devilish smile.

She swings her sword very quick. Creighton did not see it coming. There was a huge slice mark from his stomach up to his chest and across his face. His head leans back like he was slapped in the face. He stood there and slowly stood straight with a smile on his face. The wound started to heal slowly, very slowly. Then he could feel the burn. "Aaaargh!!! What the hell is that?!" He shouted as he looked at the sword and covered his wound.

"I waited a long time for this." She said. Her attention looked to Laurel and pointed the sword at her. "You got some explaining to do later, but for now...let's just kill this son of bitch." She looked back at Creighton, raised her sword and yelled while charging at him with a full swing.

As if the explosion wasn't enough the door to the room splintered open sending wood chips every where. Laurel was sitting on the floor in a bit of a daze. The fog cleared from her mind seeing Suko standing there with a sword in her hand. She attacked at Creighton and Laurel was so in shock at seeing the other woman standing there as the last time she saw her Suko was barely holding onto life. A bit of Creighton's blood splattered onto Laurel's face snapping her out of it. She couldn't let Suko kill Creighton with that sword. His soul would be reborn and twenty years from now they would be back in the same place. She grabbed the knife from the ground and jumped to her feet moving between Suko and Creighton. She held the knife up blocking Suko's attack, “No!” She shouted, the force of Suko's strike pushing her back into Creighton.

“You are a confusing one aren't you my pet?” Creighton said, having the nerve to reach around and stroke his hand down the front of her chest stopping at the button on his borrowed shirt.

“You don't know the half of it.” Laurel said, pushing Suko back at first finding she didn't have the strength to. Suko wasn't the frail weak woman she had seen several hours ago. There was a brief battle of strength which it took a moment but Laurel won pushing Suko back. Once she wasn't fighting off a attack she flipped the knife around and stabbed it under her arm left into Creighton's chest. It landed just south of his heart but still a bright light shot out from the wound. Creighton let out an inhuman scream and pulled back covering the wound with his hands though it did little to stop the blood or light.

“What the fuck kind of witch magic have you done to me?” Creighton hissed, obviously in pain.

Laurel didn't answer with words because honestly she had no idea what kind of magic it was. She was only doing what the goddess had told her to do. She jumped back onto him and thrust the knife in and out of his chest. The knife plugged into his chest over and over again until the spray of light and blood was blinding. Laurel gave into her blood lust hardly noticing her fangs had descended and her eyes had turned red. She must have hit him at least twenty times before one of the strikes landed on his heart and he exploded into a burst of light. The light lingered for several minutes and Laurel didn't realized Creighton was gone plunging the knife down into the bed over and over again as she was covered in blood and ash.

She kept her grip on the sword. When Laurel had stopped her, she had to admit. She felt sudden of being weak. Were the drugs wearing off? She does not know. Instead she allowed herself to be pushed back but still with a scowl face. She waited until what was happening. She was caught surprised of what she did. Killing Creighton.

She stood there watching her plunging the knife into the bed. After the body had burst into light and ashes. Suko felt her body renewing. She looked at her veins and noticed the darkness had gone. She felt more alive then being dead.

She hurried over to Laurel and held to her. Holding her in her arms and whispered in her ear. "It's okay, he's gone now." She says soothingly. She reached for the knife in her hand and takes it away. "You've did it." She says again.

Lost in her rage she was surprised by a slender pair of arms wrapping around her. She didn't resist the arms being familiar with them along with the smell of her lover. Suko took the knife from her and dropped it away from them on the bed. Laurel leaned back into Suko now lost in the embrace. She turned to look at Suko seeing that she wasn't weak or energized liked she had seen when she burst in. To her Suko looked like an angel. An angel who wasn't furious at her or at least she wasn't showing it. Laurel didn't know where to begin. So much had happened since she had turned. Laurel rested her head on Suko's chest and just let it all out. She started to cry and clutched to Suko, “I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I didn't see any other options. I had to kill him but I couldn't use just any weapon. She said it had to be the knife but I didn't know where it was. I needed time to look. He would never let me wonder around looking for it. I slept with him only to distract him. Please Suko forgive me.” Laurel said, knowing she was rambling and probably not making any sense.

She pulled back looking at Suko not seeing the other woman react. She leaned and kissed her because she didn't know what else to do. When Suko didn't pull away the she intensified the kiss, losing herself in the kiss. It felt great like it was washing away everything she had done with Creighton. When she closed her it was like nothing had happened with him. How long they sat there kissing she didn't know but she would have stayed like that forever, until she heard someone rush into the room. “Suko, Laurel!” Walker said, standing in the doorway looking at the carnage. Laurel must have been a sight sitting on the bed covered in blood and the sheets soaked in blood. “Creighton?” He asked.

“Dead.” Laurel said, pulling away from Suko though she didn't want to. She stood up and looked to the bed then to Walker it finally sinking in that she had killed him. Technically she hadn't known Creighton long in this lifetime but if what the goddess had said was true she had been battling him for longer than she could possibly know. She was finally free of him.

“I think we managed to get all his lackey's though one ore two might have gotten away. I doubt they will be any problem without their leader.” Walker said, still taking in the sight of the room.

Laurel nodded and looked to Suko then to the knife. She picked it up feeling the handle was hot. She held onto despite the heat. Then she looked down at it realizing the ivory (https://i.pinimg.com/564x/df/95/26/df95268c7cdf0f3e5194d5bbfe44eba2.jpg) on the handle was now a red color. “We shouldn't leave this here.” Laurel said, handing the blade to Walker, he took it not seeming to feel the heat she did. She looked down at her hands seeing a brand on her palms in the shape of an X. Laurel stared at it a moment then looked back to Suko not wanting to deal with whatever this was. She reached out and took Suko's hand pulling her from the bed and to her feet. She walked then toward the closet and inside of the darkness.

When they stepped out they were in Suko's bedroom in the lighthouse. Laurel brushed her hand across Suko's cheek and a soft smile was on her face she hadn't lost the other woman. Taking her hand again she walked them to the bathroom. Laurel hadn't been in here before it was huge and had the most luxurious shower (https://i.pinimg.com/564x/33/d0/6b/33d06b9dd9a23f3cc7035d7c2cdd5cd2.jpg) she had seen. It had a rainfall shower head that Laurel wanted nothing more than to be until right now. She reached in and turned the water on then unbuttoned the bloody shirt and dropped it to the ground then moved onto removing Suko's clothes. She wanted a shower but she didn't want to be alone. Once they were undressed she pulled Suko into the shower and let the water fall on them. The water felt amazing on her, the best feeling in the world but it wasn't enough she pulled Suko to her and resumed their kissing from earlier.

When they arrived back at one of her hideout areas. Suko was a little both surprised and shocked when she entered the closest and found herself in one the luxury rooms. She looked around and back at the closest door. She opened and closed them several times and looked at Laurel. Her love must have figured out how to control her powers and what they were capable of. When she was lead into the shower room, she started to undress herself along with some help. She stood there, kissing her lover in her arms. Thinking about the moment they killed Creighton and free she felt from his grasp. How she was able to move kill him with one weapon and how she explained it. Suko stood there and thought about something. An old legend about Creighton's love history. But it was archived in another country where she couldn't retrieve it.

While standing there in the shower with Laurel. Suko used her power to control the way the flow of the water and made it slowly twirl around them. She didn't let go, but the power she was using lasted longer then usual. And she remembered the drug was still active in her system. Guess not everything could be taken away.

When they were done with the shower and a very intense moment. Suko was in the bedroom in a bathrobe and her hair was loose. She was sitting on a chair in front of a mirror brushing down her wet hair. "Fixer is a hell of a drug addiction to try and kick it off but it ain't nothing like humans become addicted to cocaine or anything stronger. I'll be going on edge soon and when I do...I'll be craving for another shot." She sighs and places her arms down. "I can try and kick it off but no vampire have ever been able to remove the addiction."

She gets up and looked around the room. "What happened with you and Creighton...I can understand and I forgive you." She walked over to the bed and kissed Laurel. "I love you and your my life mate. I'll always love you."

After their shower Laurel lay on the bed also wearing a bathroom. Her own hair was wrapped up in a towel as she relaxed on the bed. She watched her lover brush her hair thinking she could watch the other woman all day. A frown crossed her face listening to Suko talk about the addiction of the fixer. She had worked in narcotics long enough to know how much addition could ruin a life. She stood and walked over to Suko still amazed at how quietly she moved. There were many things that would take some time to get used to and it surprised her that it wasn't the big things like drinking blood or killing without remorse that was hard to adapt to. No instead it was the little things like moving without a sound or not needing to breath. She took the brush from Suko and finished stroking it through her hair. Then she set it down and rested on her shoulders. “Those other vampires didn't have me by their side. Suko whatever happens we will face it together.”

She took Suko's hand and guided her to the bed laying down before pulling Suko with her. She wrapped her hands around Suko holding her from behind brushing her hands through her hair while she pressed kisses to her neck over and over again. “So what do we do now? We are free of that bastard and can do whatever we want.” Laurel said, holding tight to her. The last couple weeks had been a whirlwind feeling much longer than it really was. “Honestly I think I could use a vacation.”

She chuckles softly as she reaches for the night stand drawer. Opening it and reaches for a pack of cigarettes with a lighter attached. She moves on the bed to where she is laying on her back and takes one of the cigarettes. Placing the butt on her lip and lights it. She inhales and releases slowly. "After what....I think it's time to show you where I'm from." She smiled and looked at Laurel. She leans forward and kisses her forehead. "I think my old village is still there." She hasn't been home for almost a thousand years or so. She left for her own reasons and thinking about heading back made her nervous. She looked to the window and sees the sun glimpsing over the edge. "Time for some sleep." She says. Reaching for a remote on the night stand and presses a button. The shades slowly descended and blocked out the sun. She continued smoking until she and her lover finally fell asleep.

Hours ago. In a unknown area. There was a mansion. So big it would take anyone 10 minutes to get in the backyard. Guards at every location and windows covered with tint. And inside so many rooms, a huge clan could live here. Though there was nobody inside. Except a very discreet room. A room filled with Elder Vampires that were millions of years old. Five men and five females. There enjoying their late dinner and meeting together before retiring for the day.

"Did you feel it?" One Elder asked.

"Of course I did. You have to be a complete imbecile to not feel it." Another answered.

"Then one of our own is truly dead. But whom?"

"Creighton is not among us. But why would he be? He has not shown his face for some time now."

"Well...he has been absent of late. But he is still consider one of us."

"After what he did to Marqual. He was more desperate for a seat on the council than anyone of us."

"He did challenge Marqual to a duel for a seat. And yet Marqual failed to abide by our rules and tradition. Creighton earned his place."

"Speaking of the devil himself."

There was a man who entered the room. He stood there and gives a light bow. "Milords. I have a man outside saying he was with Creighton."

"Allow him in." A Elder woman said.

The guard turned and escorted the survivor in the room. "Council." He said as he left the man alone.

"You say you was with Creighton. Where is he?" The woman asked.

"Dead." He simply said.

"Well of course, he's a vampire." The council chuckled at the jest. But the man did not laughed and remained silent.

"Oh....I see. By whom's hand?" She asked.

"There was a attack on the estate. Some woman named Laurel was there. She did something to Creighton to turn his heart burn with flame. Like they were meant to be together."

One of the Elders moved in his seat with unease attention and was noticed by another.

"Something to say?" The woman asked.

"Creighton did talked about a woman for a very long time. And the way he described it....must have been her."

"Ah, interesting. I want to meet this woman and hear her story."

"I concur." One agreed. "Who attacked Creighton's estate?" He asked.

"A Asian woman. She was followed by a blonde woman and..."

"A tactical group men." One of the Elders looked around. "Suko, a Club Manager for one of our safe havens. I know who he is talking about."

"Tell us about her."

"One of Creightons acolytes. Must have been on her own path instead of following him."

"Or a mistake by letting her live."

"Or a survivor."

"We must have the answers to these inquiries." The woman interrupted and looked at the others. "Find them, send a Emissary and give them a message. We demand their presence. If they wish to defy us. They will be killed."

One of the Elders nodded his head. He gives a gesture with his hand and a man appeared out of the dark. Black suit, black shoes and black sunglasses. "You have your orders." He said as he passes on a icon identifying who sent him. The man nodded and walked back in the darkness.

The day passed and the night awoke. Suko moans as she opened her eyes and sees someone sitting in one of the chairs. She quickly reaches for one of the hidden guns and finds nothing.

"Looking for this?" The man asked with the pistol twirled around his finger. "I want to talk....peacefully." He showed the icon to the two women.

“Ever heard of a telephone? Or at least knocking.” Laurel said, sitting up from behind Suko. Both of them were still nude from their activities the night before. Laurel didn't like how whoever this was could get this close to them unseen. Especially since they were on a private island with its own security force. The fact he had made it to the bedroom unseen was even more unnerving. Normally she would have reached for her gun but she didn't feel the need for it, instead she was craving the knife. The room was dark the only light coming from a cigar he was smoking and the bit of moonlight the tint on the windows allow in. Laurel tried not to show surprise when something hard formed in her hand causing the mark on her palm to grow warm. She didn't have to look at it to know she was holding the soul blade. The man said, he only wanted to talk so Laurel kept the knife out of sight for now. Something about him seemed off. Laurel looked at the card which seemed to have a symbol that resembled a cross between a rune and a Asian character. “Just what they hell does that mean?” Laurel asked, the symbol not at all familiar.

"The Council of the Western Continent had sent me to find you and to be quite honest it was not that hard. You have a nice security detail here." He looked at Suko then back at Laurel. "I represent on behalf of the Council as both a Emissary and Seeker. They give me a name and face and I track them to no end." He puffed the cigar several times before releasing its fumes. "The Council learned of your traitorous act and demand your presence to answer your crimes." He leans back in his seat. "Or if you choose to defy us. We will send the best hunters to track you down and bring your ashes back." He slowly gets up and places the card on the bed. "Suko Kurosaki....you know where the Council is located." He looked at Laurel. "You have a nice day." He opened the door and walked out of the room closing the door behind him.

Suko said nothing. Only looking at the card on the bed. "The Council ain't gonna let us leave if we do show." She says. "Once you been called by the Council....you are never seen again." She leans back slowly feeling Laurel behind her. "We aren't safe here." She gets up and started to dress herself. "I think it's time to call in that Vacation trip we talked about." She rushed into the closest and finds a duffel bag and started filling it with clothes. "I better call Amelia." She finds a cell phone in the closest and dials out.

Less then a minute. There was an answer. "Suko you better be out of the fucking country." There was a gun shot in the background. "We just got hit by a fucking hitman and I lost half of my men here." Another gunshot heard in the background. "Walker! Get the fuck out of here now!" Amelia shouted.

"Not leaving you here sis."

"Fucking idiot. Suko, get Laurel and the get out of town. I'm gonna try and find some way to-" The line disconnected.

"Fuck!" She threw the phone so hard it got stuck in the wall and looked at Laurel. "I know a place where they won't be able to touch us..." She looked at a painting on the wall of a old village. "Home."
