Far from Earth, far from the Milky Way....somewhere off the edge of the Universe, the Lifewave Galaxy has plunged into all-out war. As the Centian Empire, the dominant power in the galaxy has come under threat by it's enemies. in the outer rim regions of lifewave, several regional powers and few corporations had come together to form the Sakari Consortium and challenge the Empire for the right to rule the galaxy.
With the aid of new bio-mechanical technology to outfit their armies, the Consortium has become a threat the Empire can no longer ignore and mobilizes for war.

Races
Centian
Centians are the galaxy's most numerous and politically dominant sentient species with millions of colonies galaxywide. 70% of Centians are centered within the Empire, while the other 30% are scattered throughout many unaffiliated systems, even some have joined the Consortium.
The Centians have the standard appearance of humans with the exception of vastly exotic hair colors and styles, along with elfen-like ears. a small minority of albino centians exist and are considered of high respect, and are usually of noble blood.
Ignisato

The ignisato are a species of sulfate-reducing creatures, internally resembling mammals and externally similar to reptiles. Having evolved in a harsh environment, their scaly hides are tough and can take a beating. However, they require breathing apparatus to survive in oxygen-rich atmospheres. along with a short lifespan of a few decades.
This limitation has not stopped them from spreading across the stars and their aggressively capitalist nature has assured them dominance in almost every locale they've adopted. The hegemony hasn't quite reached this corner of the galaxy as of yet, but a few vanguards are probing the waters.
Kitsuni
A race of near-centian humanoids. the kitsuni mostly resemble centians, however, there are obvious differences, such as their canine ears, tails, agility and sharp fangs. they are loyal citizens of the Empire and have few colonies outside Imperial Space.
Ra'kwa

Ra'kwa are a tall race of bipedal insectoids inhabiting the fringe regions of the Empire. they possess clawed mandibles, antennae, and segmented exoskeleton plating which requires armor penetrating rounds to crack the exoskeleton.
Ra'kwa are divided into two castes, Drones and Leaders. drones are no smarter then your average sentient creature, while leaders are highly intelligent and make excellent commanders on the battlefield.
Khil

The Khil are warm-blooded, hairless humanoids with grayish skin and a wide variation in height. Their mouths are their most distinctive features: instead of jaws, Khil had many fleshy tendrils hanging from their lower face and neck.
They are among the first races to come into contact with the early Centians and have spread to countless worlds throughout the galaxy by the time the War. They are enthusiastic supporters of the Centian Empire. Khil are involved at all levels of the Empire's society, acting as soldiers, scientists, musicians, entrepreneurs, and politicians.
Neimoidian

Neimoidians are humanoids with smooth green-blue skin skin, red eyes, lipless mouths, and long thin noseless faces.
They have a reputation for greed, ruthlessness and yet cowardice. Neimoidians place tremendous value on wealth, and would go to great lengths to gain money and power. They are known for running NeiCorp, a massive corporate entity and are as well the founders of the Consortium.
They also are the sole providers and manufacturers of Bio-Mechanical suits designed to enhance combat effectiveness of their own soldiers, as well as those of their allies.
Vorcha

Known for their unique biology and aggressive behavior, the vorcha are a primitive race that live among the galaxy's darker and more dangerous locations. Many vorcha are taken and trained by a member of the Consortium, the Shi'ari Confederation as foot soldiers due to their savage nature and adaptability to different environments. The rest of galactic civilization regards them as pests and scavengers, and their presence is generally seen as a blight.
Shi'ari

The Shi'ari are the lifelong enemies of the Empire, engaging them in several battles and a war long before the current one. the Shi'ari are lean humanoids with bizarrely shaped heads, three fingers and three toes.
The Shi'ari Confederation was among the regional governments in the formation of the Consortium, lend all military forces to the cause.
Xenrathi

The Xenrathi take on the appearance of avian-reptilian humanoids that closely resemble the Ancient Pterosaurs. the Xenrathi are the newcomers in the outer rim regions in terms of political power, their government, the Xenrathi Star Kingdom, was formed just five years ago after a long and bloody war with resulted in the victory of the monarchist faction with the aid and support of NeiCorp.
In exchange for unlimited supplement of weapons and tech, the Xenrathi have swore to join the new Consortium.
Kasara

Kasara are a large near-centian race. They have bronze-hued, gray and pale skin, white hair, pointed ears, horns and vivid eyes with colors like violet, red, or yellow. some are even born with horns, like albinos to Centians, are considered a valuable part of society. Kasara are considered physically more robust than Centians.
The Kasara Dominion, like the shi'ari, are common enemies of the Empire, known to attack their territory more then once. they gladly joined the Consortium in it's beginnings.
Thrax

The Thrax are a warrior race conquered by the Kasara Dominion. they are quick, agile and extremely aggressive. And with the help of NeiCorp, the thrax were bio-engineered for optimal battlefield survivability and performance, making them the main offensive weapon of the Dominion military and the Consortium.
Though highly motivated and used in great numbers, the average Thrax Soldier lacks the initiative and intelligence for independent tactical decision making, relying on lieutenants for direction and coordination.
