You are going about your buisness in the world of rpa doing what things it is on the forum you normally do be it checking the blogging area, visiting downtown or visiting the roleplay section when suddenly and unexpectedly you feel and strange tingling sensation, next thing you are suddenly hit by an intense wave of brightness that overwhelms you.. Once you come to again you find yourself lying in a grassy clearing surrounded by trees. Sitting up you notice other members lying in the grass around you. In the distance you hear the squalk of some type of bird or monkey and looking up you see a couple of green quetzal-like birds fluttering about above the treetops. You find yourself wondering what just happened and where the heck you are.

Still feeling dazed you get to your feet. It is then you notice the figure standing on on a rock in front of you. You see he, for it is a he, has pale skin and lanky black hair. In terms of attire he is wearing a long robe of gold and green over a green leather vest while in his hand he holds a long golden staff topped with silver prongs and a blue crystal. To some of you the appearance alone makes him recognisable. On his face is a playful smirk.

"Greetings" he says. "For those who don't know me my name is Loki, who some call god of mishief. I once made an appearance in one of the roleplays you people seem so fond of however a glitch in reality allowed me to become self-aware and break out. This setting you see around you once belonged to an unfinished roleplay that got abandoned and I've brought you all here to have a little fun. Behind me right in the distance you may notice a mountain peak. On the plateau below it is a small temple. I'd say it's roughly a day's walk from here. If you can make it there by sunset I shall return you all to your own world. If not then I'm afraid you will all be stuck here forever."

Having delivered those final words he offers a mocking bow then disappears in a puff of smoke. Ahead of you lies what is apparently a jungle, if you are to somehow get out of this place it seems that the only way is forward. Will you make it through? Will you ever get out of this place? That is what we are about to discover...

Welcome to Trials and Tribulations. This is a member roleplay event part-inspired the RPAlandia-hammer game created by Kris though in this instance probably a bit less complex. For the main part this game will be a lot more linear with only one path you are able to follow though hopefully it will still enjoyable. Rather than choosing to travel one direction or another the story will have more focus on the element of overcoming obstacles that lie in your path. Like the game done by Kris the basic premise is that you are playing as yourself but in the form of your forum avatar.

Joining the game:

In order to join you simply need to post a character sheet with 2 pieces of information which are your name and appearance, the name can be either your exact username or how you are commonly called while appearance is based on your avatar. Once you have posted your sheet you are free to post in the IC.

If all goes as intended the game will last 5 weeks. Each week I will update on sunday. Each turn you can post as many times as you like (within reason) but are expected to post at least once. As it's an event you can also claim a badge for completing it but I don't have all the details on that yet.

The deadline for signups is next sunday (the 24th) when I post the first update to the IC, after that registration will be closed.

Few details: Normally he has perfect control of his butter magic, but in this world things don't seem to go according to plan. Things don't go right. That's if you want him to have his butter magic? Normally when he's taken to a new world he still has it, but has to relearn how to use it properly and it has it's limits.

Edit: I found the IC. If everyone's weapons are missing then it makes sense for his butter powers to not work as well. Okay, that's why I asked. I will write it that way then. I can have Omac without butter magic, don't worry. I don't think I used any in the 10k event!

No that's ok there is pretty much only 1 direction you can go in this (ie. toward the mountain) so unless someone says otherwise I'll just assume everyone is taking that path. you can set off walking now if you wish to but I will automatically move everyone along when I do the update.

It's not about it working it's just the fact it'd get stuck in the trees or underbush. really if you wanted a vehicle to help you in this you'd need to find an aeroplane or a very enormous tank. XD

Hey Omac the code you need is actually [roll]2d6[/roll ] (without the space) so you had it right before. however it doesn't work if you edit it after you posted which I am guesing is what you did. So basically if you mess it up when typing you can't go back and edit you have to start again in a new post.
