I know I'm new here, but is there a set amount of time I have to wait until my thread shows up in the forum?

To my knowledge the only restriction that is placed on new people is their private messaging. I could be wrong but they should show up right away.

I posted my thread in the 1 x 1 recruitment section yesterday but it said I needed admin approval before it would show up? I still don't see it today.

Doe, it's probably because you're still classified as a new member. Once you reach 10 or 15 posts (sorry, I can't remember which) you'll be moved to the regular member usergroup, with full permissions like posting threads and viewing profiles. Just make a few posts around the forum, I recommend Downtown, and you'll be good to go in no time.
