A worldwide chemical attack has resulted in an epidemic that overwhelmed all efforts to contain it. Initial attempts to contain and control the pandemic have failed, with the military and law enforcement agencies meeting coordinated opposition that decimated their forces, leaving people to fend for themselves made more difficult by attacks by electromagnetic pulses that eliminated the power grids.

In a world where the dead rise, people must learn to survive. This means learning to become pragmatic individuals willing to fight for their lives. People had to learn new skills, and adapt old ones to suit their needs. Only the strong survive.

All standard RPA rules apply.

The starting point is Denver, Colorado. It’s been one week since the emergency response failed. That gives you enough time to procure equipment and begin to form a plan of action. The streets are overrun with the undead, and the survivors have to connect and organize themselves to find a way out. We are currently all holed up in a police precinct.

Your profession tells us what you’re best at, but feel free to have a variety of skills so long as you keep it balanced. I’m not going to ask you to list them. However, by this point you need to be capable of protecting yourself and others through violent action. Don’t have to be comfortable with it, or overly good at it, simply capable and willing to do so. A lot of emphasis will be put on doing so quietly, and preferably without wasting ammunition for firearms. There are no limits on weapons, but be aware of ammo availability and weight. Same goes for other supplies: medical, food, water, and other miscellaneous items.

Types of Zombies (This list will be updated over time as new mutations and strains are discovered. Keep in mind though that zombies are not the only dangers, as you will come across highwaymen, raiders, and other hostile survivors.)

Hunters- More common in Rural areas, hunters operate either alone or in packs usually no larger than a dozen. With preternatural senses, they can detect prey around them at a distance, track them by smell alone. Fast and agile, they are difficult to outrun, and have the endurance to pursue over long distances. They’re also highly aggressive, even being found to attack other zombies.

Walkers- More common and found more commonly in Urban environments, they are usually found in herds numbering between twenty and a hundred. Despite their name, they can move at a jogger’s pace, and even sprint short distances.

Screamers/Howlers- Usually on the fringe of any group or by themselves, Screamers and Howlers (Depending on whether they’re male or female) start screaming or howling at the top of their lungs when prey is sighted, alerting all nearby zombies of their presence.

Behemoth- Large and with preternatural strength, these muscle-bound zombies are even more aggressive, known to attack other zombies. Some carry large blunt objects that they use to attack with, while others are nearly impossible to stop. They are capable of breaking brick walls while sustaining minimal damage, and given enough time can break steel hinges. Usually solitary creatures.

Reapers- All information currently unknown.


Additional notes: mostly for personal amusement, your characters can belong to one of the Tom Clancy organizations (i.e. Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon, Division, 4th Echelon, ect). That being said, the tech utilized by those organizations will be limited. Also by scaled back military theme, we don't mean removal of military presence entirely, just reduced.

Background: Salem grew up a military brat from West Texas. With both of his parents in the military he was well disciplined and excelled in school. He joined the Army immediately after high school and served two tours before being selected by Colonel Scott Mitchell to become one of the Ghosts, a clandestine team conducting covert operations worldwide.

Since then he has conducted operations across the globe including the Ukraine, Bolivia, Somalia, Afghanistan, Peru, to name some in the most recent years. He led Wraith Team as a Captain, along with his teammates Amari Rhamani, Frank Castiglione, and Henry Johnson.

When the outbreak hit he was sent to assist with containment in Denver Colorado. Ultimately it failed, and instead he ended up having to take shelter in a precinct with other survivors. Since then he has went out and lead others to the station, hoping to find members of his team. So far the search has been unsuccessful.

Description: Miles is athletically built, with short black hair and brown eyes. He has some scars from his time in the service. He either has his old service uniform (brown t-shirt, desert camo BDU pants, combat boots, Mechanix gloves) or his work uniform (FD station shirt, turnout pants, and the same boots and gloves from his old service uniform).

Weapons: M416 carbine with suppressor and ACOG sight, M1911 .45 ACP with holosight. Combat knife.

Equipment: One large medic jumpbag, three smaller first aid kits, a fire extinguisher, five road flares. Bell 407 helicopter, life flight equipped, Denver FD livery.

Background: Miles grew up in Boulder City, and went into the USMC to get an education, focusing on medic training, quickly becoming a parajumper and medic. When his 4 years were up he returned home and started his training, he would eventually move to Denver and join their FD, quickly proving his worth as a medic, and training in piloting the search and rescue helicopter, an old Huey helicopter to start with, and got his engineer training, learning to drive and operate the fire apparatus's. When zero hour occurred he was deployed with the rest of his station, Station 8, helping to quell fires and evac those who needed it. His station would be quickly over run, he would escape via the helicopter on the roof of the hospital they were at. He would later join the survivor group.

Description: Maisie is, as you would expect, almost a stereotype of a Scottish woman. Mostly thanks to her red, curly hair and green eyes. She is athletically built, but still slightly curvy. Usually she is seen wearing a black polo shirt, or a white buttoned shirt, jeans or slacks, combat boots, impact resistant sunglasses, and a cap from her time in the British army

Weapons: L86 LSW (holographic sight, extended quickdraw mag) and an AUG A3 SMG (same attachments), her sidearm is an FNX 45 Tactical pistol (suppressor, holographic sight). German Shepherd attack dog

Equipment: Basic plate carrier, military Molle pack filled with basic survival supplies and medical supplies.

Background: Maisie grew up in Perth, Scotland, with her parents, both of which were in the service of their country. Her father was a security officer for the Air Force as a K-9 handler, and her mother was an MI6 communications and intelligence officer. As such Maisie grew up in a fairly normal, middle-class upbringing. When she was 18 she joined the British Army and was quickly placed into the SAS where she excelled in supporting fire and weapons handling, as well as K-9 handling. After a few years she was brought into the Diplomatic service along with her parents, they were to be assigned to guard the UK Embassy in Washington DC. It was not long after this that Maisie was secretly trained by the Strategic Homeland Division. After the attack she, along with her parents, would do their best to help the survivors, The Division would be quickly disbanded after a loss of leadership. As they helped evac DC their positions would be over run, Maisie would lose her parents in the escape, taking her father's K-9 partner with her. She would make it there by sheer willpower, and her now armoured Chevy Tahoe she requisitioned from an abandoned SWAT position, lucky for her and her K-9, TK, it was a K-9 vehicle. She would eventually join the survivor group.

Background: Ash grew up with a love of technology. This would occasionally cause him trouble, but would lead him to his chosen career path. He barely graduated high school as his grades reflected his boredom with the course material. Ash got into Kenjutsu when he inherited a katana his grandfather took off a WWII Japanese officer who “had no further use for it.”

He applied and was accepted to MIT; This exposed him to a wider variety of both technology and trouble. He was among the first to join the fledgling drone movement, turning his long history of playing video games into something else. His interest in Kenjutsu lead to Ash learning Taido, and developing an interest in Parkour. Before graduation Ash drew the attention of the National Security Agency when he hacked into their recruitment server to stick his name on the list.

His career was dull and generally tedious. Ash’s only excitement came when he was selected to test pilot the new drones. To correct this Ash began training for a field position. Unfortunately he would never get that chance.

Ash had been looking forward to the day of the outbreak as he would be testing the newest surveillance drone. The test of the TR-4 was successful, until it abruptly ended. Ash thought the description of the event that ended the test was a joke, until he saw it through the drones eyes.

The 18 hours since the initial response was mostly a blur to Ash. He remembers the escort of the drone being attacked; He remembers a near escape with the drone; He remembers stumbling across the remains of a Secret Service Escort, which he scavenged weapons and ammunition from. Ash had made his way home and retrieved his camping gear. After ensuring the new drone was compatible with his charger he left his personal drone behind and set to familiarizing himself with the TR-4's capabilities.

The drone is controllable from Ash’s tablet as well as his laptop. It has a pair of cameras, one mounted atop, the other on the underside of the drone. The drone has a half hour long flight time on a full charge. It also has a range of a mile and a half.

Profession: Washed out U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander & Fighter Pilot. "Hydroponics" Expert. Cartel Pilot.

Description: Auburn hair and amber eyes. She has a curvy build made a little too thin by poor sleep habits and risky living. Her naturally fair skin is darkened by the sun and frequently sports sunburn across nose, shoulders, and ears. Despite her reckless living, a vegan and admittedly somewhat "hippie" lifestyle has helped to counter-act the self-abuse in which she otherwise immerses herself. A constellation of freckles is mapped across her body, obvious across her nose and fainter elsewhere. Her left arm is covered from fingers to shoulder in colourful and fantastical animals and monsters with small symbols with personal meaning hidden within the patterns. She usually wears white shirts in varying cuts under studded, distressed, or otherwise embellished black or blue denim jackets and pairs those with low-slung jeans. A silver chain with dog tags boasting someone else's name is always around her neck and often accompanied by a turquoise choker. For long-haul flights she often throws an oversized men's flight jacket over her regular clothing. Tawny coveralls are stashed in the drug operation's Cessna for use in loading, unloading, and mucking about more "rustic" locales, so sometimes she can be seen sporting those also. She prefers to go barefooted, but has fallen back on her big black military surplus boots currently.

Weapons: Through time involved with military training, a special ops sometimes-boyfriend, defending a grow operation, and moving product for the Cartel; there have been ample opportunities to hone her basic firearms skills. While far more comfortable in the air, she is a trusty shot with the SIG Sauer P228/M11 which she always carries and her more dated Smith & Wesson .38 Special that serves as a sort of "oh shit" emergency weapon. Her operation also owns or has access to AR-15, AK-47 and FN 5.7 through their affiliations with the Cartel (as well as a cache of items like fragmentation grenades, Beta-C magazines, PMAGs, assorted handguns, etc., that would be impossible for one person to carry), but she prefers and maintains a few M4 carbines personally. She managed to stuff a hiking pack full of ammunition, a little sustenance, and a few creature comforts before shuttering her operation and booking it from her residence.

Background: Known for her auburn hair often highlighted unnatural hues and her honeyed-amber eyes as much as the colourful tattoos that sleeve her left arm and shoulder, Becky earned her nickname from the Cartel members with whom she frequently serves as a transport pilot due to her laid back and whimsical nature. Her knowledge of both civilian and military flight patterns and procedures is an asset, as is her easy demeanour and frayed moral fiber. It is difficult to find her sober, whether it's drink or drugs, though she is uncannily functional despite this fact.

She was a bright and ambitious aerospace engineering student before she was a cocky naval fighter pilot with prodigious talent. A nasty incident resulting in two dead pilots and a dead ensign landed her in the cold with a dishonourable discharge headstoning her career like a scarlet letter. That was the best case scenario, unfortunately. After a few months deep dive into the seediest circles in Pensacola, she packed up her beat up clown-red Chevy Chevette and started a series of vehicular breakdowns that would eventually bring her to a little mechanic's shop in Denver, Colorado owned by a friend of the friend along for the road trip.

She had come for the skiing and her friend had come for the legalised Jane. After a few weeks slumming with the hydroponics enthusiasts to whom the mechanic had introduced them, she was convinced to step in for their regular transport pilot and from there her career took wing. It was the perfect way to wallow in her shame whilst taking the edge off with the goods. She was quick to learn the workings of the grow operation and eventually, after a couple of years, became a partner.

Flash forward to today, one week after Denver, Colorado collapsed into madness. Good news is: she's the only surviving partner. Bad news is: the world's gone to utter shit. With her grow operation shuttered for who knows how long and the city in crisis, she spent some time preparing herself to take off from the landing pad holding her recently-returned Piper M600. Unfortunately, though she was able to refuel, her boyfriend was missing in action and none of her scattered operations underlings had seen him in her place. In fact, none of them had shown up at her penthouse at the scheduled rendezvous time. She's made it to the police precinct fueled only by muscle memory, luck and cocaine after getting caught out in the streets hunting for her people in a badly hit part of the city. True to her usual good fortune, that was where a ragtag bunch of military and emergency services workers picked her up at just the right time. Fortunately, no one is asking too many questions these days about who has gotten their dirty little hands on which contraband.

Description: Andi is of average height, standing at 5'6" with a slender, athletic build--her legs well-muscled from years of jogging. Her eyes are a deep brown and typically have a hint of humor to them. Her hair is of the same color, with a streak of white running through it on the left side. Typically sporting a light tan from all the time she spends outdoors, her skin has a healthy glow which is adorned with multiple tattoos: flower chain around left wrist, bow on back of right thigh, butterfly on lower back, and a celestial design on her shoulder/chest area. The only make-up she wears is eye-liner and mascara.

Background: A bit of a health nut, Andi runs a minimum of 5 miles a day along the streets of Denver. She typically jogs alone, and for safety reasons, has a CCW permit and has taken several classes in self defense.

Academically, she's a science teacher and works full time, but she also enjoys taking short trips to the mountains to hike and camp. She knows the basics...starting a fire from scratch, identifying edible and poisonous plants, reading the stars, and putting up a shelter. Although she doesn’t consider herself to be a survivalist, she is pretty self-sufficient.

At the beginning of the outbreak, she made her way to the highschool, which was considered to be one of the fall back points for emergencies in the city. The school was overrun the following day, and Andi, along with several other teachers and students, fought their way out of the gymnasium and out onto the streets. The local police precinct was their destination this time, in hopes of procuring additional weapons and ammunition.

For several days they struggled through the carnage...running...killing...hiding...the group’s numbers dwindling at an alarming rate. By the time the precinct was reached, only Andi and one other teacher remained, the two fighting their way to the doors. Only she was allowed to enter, her companion bitten in their last fight, a bittersweet end for one of them in their struggle to survive.

Zeke is an extremely fit man 185 pounds of hard earned muscle and 5'8. When working the farm he's wearing old blue jeans, a white-tank-top, and when needed an old leather coat.

In his off time he's one of America's many Doomsday preppers. While not as crazy as most were his father and grandfather were adamant about being prepared for anything. This transferred down to Zeke his brother and their many cousins. The above is what Zeke looks like when out on family excursions and what he generally is running around in now that doomsday has come.




Weapons: While he can use a gun quite well, he prefers the modified long bow in the image above. He keeps it unwound and in a long protective case across his back along with nearly fifty sharp fiberglass arrows with interchangeable heads.

Now though he's fully kitted up gas mask, a large coil of rope, high-powered binoculars, three tin canteens extra batteries, twenty four more rounds for his colt, and arrow making and bow repair kits all held neatly in his old rucksack.


Clothes: Clothed as above thick tan pants, a warm field jacket with a hood, wool finger-less gloves, tac-vest, and heavy brown combat boots.

Background: Born on an old plantation a few miles south of Atlanta. While not originally belonging to his family the Edges having been tilling the soil there for four generations. Tobacco, cotton, and various kinds of animal meat were the primary exports coming off Edge plantation.

Zeke is the youngest of the family, his brother Ike was twenty-eight, but they've always been close. And being the only kids around for miles they were their own best friends. Hunting fishing, tearing around the woods and swamps near their home. This was life and it was a good one for many years. That was until Ike decided to follow in his Grandfather's footsteps and joined the Army. Zeke was too young to join so he got saddled with Ike's chores, it took him a bit of time, but he grew stronger each and everyday and business continued as usual.

Though as his brother completed his training and went off to war the mood changed. His father and grandfather always subscribed to the be prepared for anything philosophy, but the day Ike got shipped out they doubled-down on it turning the idea into an obsession. Building a fallout shelter, buying up stocks of ammo and supplies, and began training heavily in survival, woodcraft, and anything else they could think of. Zeke learned what he could, but when news came to the homestead that Ike had been killed in combat his family went nuts. They sold their crops and fields and turned the plantation house into a small fort.

They turned towards teaching other doomsday preppers for income, but Zeke was somewhat disenchanted with it. He was tired of living like the death of the human race was right around the corner. So on his 26th birthday he bought a one way ticket to Denver, Colorado, he had been talking with a friend up there who had a nice paying job at a shooting range for him. Even if he was trying to get away from the doomsayer life the habits traveled with him. He had his full bug-out bag and weapons stuffed in the back of his old jeep and arrived in Denver a full week before shit went south. Now it had been in the news that rumbling of war were rolling through the town, but Zeke never paid it much mind. That was until zero hour hit, the dead had arisen and the young man was almost caught in the first death toll. But all the training and preparation he'd been balking against for years saved his life and now he's making plans to get back to the old homestead and make a last stand with his family. But for now he's stuck in a Denver Police precinct with other lucky survivors of the zombie apocalypses.

Having alternatives during a zombie/plague pandemic is probably not the worst idea. -approval- I thought about it also, but decided to wait and float one later if it seemed like a good time/necessary. The video game references are fairly well lost on me, though, for the most part.

Here's the thing; I said I'd allow Tom Clancy style things because most of it has some basis in reality- Ghost Recon being based loosely on Delta, 4th Echelon story wise being a part of the NSA, and same for The Division supposed to be a part of Homeland Security. That being said, I have said nothing about utilizing the tech from those games; my character won't be using cross-coms glasses, cloaking system, or anything like that. Fox isn't using the hive ball, the automated turret, or anything like that. This decision was made solely for the amusement of being able to use our own characters from that universe in a different setting. And I also stated that despite the decision to include those organizations, the tech would be limited.

That being said, if you want to make another character feel free to do so. Exo suit might be a bit much though. I know there's some in development that were being tested but I haven't kept up to date on them in a while.

@KRCmdrSheppard You do understand that in this setting there has been a major targeted emp attacks worldwide, meaning most of the city networks that you utilize in watchdogs would be unavailable, right? That was mentioned in the last sentence of the first paragraph. There will still be certain buildings and facilities we'll come across that are still functional due to being properly protected, and those facilities will have security systems that you might be able to access, but it won't be as commonly used as it is in Watchdogs.

Also, I know that tone can be difficult to convey over text but understand none of what I've said has been meant to be negative. If the inclusion of these things is going to detract from the experience, it can be rectified.

Also, for clarification we'll likely be split into two teams so you can have two characters. If you have a preference for pairing up characters let us know and we'll try to accommodate that. One team will be primarily in a support role; providing security, overwatch, and extraction among other things.

This way both teams still can be involved and those few who are less combat oriented aren't necessarily at the forefront of the action, though they will still see some of their own.

And this is a reminder that this is rated mature. There will be gory scenes written in detail, extreme violence, and some other mature scenes, though still within the rules of RPA. This is a horror genre setting. You all seem well aware of that and I don't think any of this will be a problem, but I still feel like stating a disclaimer.

There will be periods of time between missions, during which time it is encouraged to establish and build relationships, work on skills, do some character progression. And in terms of survivability, I tend approach it that so long as you're not doing something monumentally stupid, breaking the rp, or just consistently making bad decisions, you're probably not gonna die unless you want to.

Also, any concerns regarding the plot or story, scenes, and so forth I would prefer if you send me a pm. I do not take offense easily, and I don't mind constructive criticism in the least because it would be much harder to improve without it, but I've found when posted publicly it can cause some disagreements with others that ruin the vibe. There may be times we do things that aren't 100% realistic or logical if we think it can make for a cool scene or to create a situation that we can utilize for the story progression, and we withhold the right to take these creative liberties. After all, we're dealing with a world where zombies roam.

Sorry it took so long. Also, I didn't realize I hadn't added my own character to the roster. I'll be compiling the approved characters into a list and update the OP. Also, a few details I should note and will be adding to the OP as well:

These are not your classic "rose from the dead" zombies. They are not dead or decayed. They are people who were infected with a rapidly mutating bio-engineered parasite that releases chemicals that alters the brain and bodily function by putting them in a more aggressive primal state. It severely dulls the pain sensory and pumps a high amount of adrenaline to their system, giving them near-inhuman capabilities. Their blood also tends to coagulate quicker, making them less likely to bleed out. Meaning that body shots can kill them, but it's likely to take multiple. Headshots are still the most effective way to take them out. Obviously there are various types of infected, with some being more resistant to damage.

Weapons: As a career military man, Reggie had a long experience of martial training in addition to his duties as a seasoned combat engineer. He has explosive ordnance and driver/mechanic experience. Additionally, he was a crack shot with a rifle as a child and young man hunting with his father and brother; and translated that into a hobby of competing in U.S. Army and Interservice competitions. An expert marksman and habitual tinkerer, he still keeps his first childhood rifle, his service rifle, and a handful of others won over the years in his workshop; and uses them to practice a few times a month at least when he can get out of the city. He trades some light maintenance and a cup of joe to the the guard at a firing range for free access to use the facility.

Background: Raised in the backwoods of West Virginia, Reggie had a happy childhood with a traditional and happy family. He got on well with his brother and was a fairly average student and child. It was pleasant and he took the wide-eyed country boy of his youth into military service when he was old enough as most men in his family did. He came back home on leave whenever possible and fell deeply in love with his childhood sweetheart, Geraldine. They were married in a big ceremony under the tree that bore their initials and his happy life only seemed sunnier. His military service was enjoyable, but he was too gentle and easy a spirit to want to make a career of it. It was only something he did to honour the traditions of his family and see a bit of the world.

A few months before his conscription expired, he received word of an accident at home. Geraldine had been at her family's farm when a fire broke out. While they all rushed to put out the fire, a section of the stables had collapsed and she perished. The leave that sent him home all seemed like a blur and the gentle boy from the backwoods died along with her. That was 21. He said farewell to his parents when his time was up and went back to promptly extend his service.

Though he still returned home to see his family on holidays and leave time to go turkey hunting with his father and brother, he was never quite the same. He served as a U.S. Army Combat Engineer until the age of 40. He had been forcefully promoted to Sergeant, though he had no interest in promotion and declined a further promotion to remain in the service at a desk job. He spent those many years expanding his knowledge across all of the niche areas of engineering, content to quietly and efficiently do his duty.

When he retired from active service, he roughed it for several months, torn between returning home and simply walking off the grid now that his useful years were behind him and he had no desire to be a burden on his family. News of his father's illness drew him home, where he cleaned up and took care of his mother while his younger sibling, who had foregone military service, lent him a hand with managing the farm in addition to his own little adjoining operation.

His father passed and he had spent years recapturing something like happiness with his remaining family. His mother passed peacefully in her sleep when he was 53, and his younger brother passed not long after at only 45 of a massive heart attack. Heavy-hearted, he moved his brother's widow onto the main farm and signed over the land in trust to their children. No longer able to bear the streams and woodlands where he had known so much happiness and so much pain, he decided to follow an old childhood friend to Denver, Colorado where he served as an independent exterminator and handyman alongside him.

The pair shared a small house on the outskirts of the city and took jobs all over and around Denver. They were a bit of an odd couple, but both benefitted from the companionship even if Reggie only did about a tenth of the actual talking. When the outbreak hit Denver and the EMP took out the power, the two had fallen back on their old training and habits, collecting their gear and hoofing it for their vans.

Background: Kade Van Fossen carries a line of history in exploring the unknown and finding treasures wherever they seek. His family was loving and caring but the world wasn't, because he was unique. This uniqueness was called autism, he saw things in a unique way with shapes and patterns, sounds and rhythm, he found new ways of viewing things and it excelled him in engineering and research. Though this illness had a consequence to it. No matter how much he tried to stay calm when a minor problem occurred he would explode in a rage. At age 14 his family was forced to put him in a dispensary correction camp where he was punished every waking moment there. If he dared looked toward his Superior he was sent to a gas chamber and had no food for the day. He met his best friend their a few years after, his name was Jack Caten. He was the only polite one there, at least to him that is. Jack would always sit with him at lunch and talk to him. He taught him how to stay calm or at least hide the anger away and when to release it. He taught him how to Look and act normal, and how to deal with situations. He told him stories about his past and fairytales and shared his with him, they did drills together and taught each other new things. He was an ideal friend to him. He would take a bullet for him and Jack would do the same. They were inseparable. A year later on Kades 17th birthday it was time for him to leave. He was ready for the world now because of Jack, yet he wasn't ready to leave his best friend behind.

"Go" Jack said, "Your ready to live your life, you don't need me to help you anymore. I'll see you on the flipside Biscuit."

That was the last thing he said to him after he left that camp. And they haven't seen each other since then.

Neeko is 6’6'' and about 240 lbs. In no way is he a small man. His exact equipment is an ACHHC combat helmet with Sordin hearing assistance, Anti-Frag goggles to protect his eyes, and a class IV plate carrier with space for 8 magazines and a personal aid kit. On his back is a mid-sized backpack with a week or so’s worth of MRE’s and water, as well as a spare change of clothes, a winter jacket, foil blanket, and a few boxes of 9mm hollow points. Also in the bag is a couple logs of Copenhagen snuff. Neeko can’t live without it. He always wears some sort of face covering, a result of his accident while in the military.

Background: Growing up, Neeko’s life was usual. However, his father became a raging alcoholic shortly after Neeko’s mother passed. From the age of 11 to 18 he had a tough life, basically raising himself. Come 18, Neeko enlisted in the Army to get away from his father and see the world. Everything went well, with him excelling in boot camp and eventually becoming a Ranger. After 7 tours and plenty of combat, Neeko was in a devastating accident. After that day, he left the US Army. Life outside of the military didn’t suit him though, so he became a Private Military Contractor. He did any job he was offered, assuming the money was good enough. Much has been done that he is not proud of, but money talks.

When he got a call and heard the word “Zombies”, he knew money didn’t matter anymore. The deal became ammunition and supplies, and thus he headed to Denver.

Description: about 5' 11", this guy as rather skinny for a country man, but don't let that fool you. His high metabolism keeps him rather slim. His long brown hair almost reaches down to his mouth, but is tied back with a red bandanna. His face is messy from weeks of focusing on survival rather than hygiene, his hazel eyes almost look haunted by the things he has seen and had to do to survive. he has another bloody blue bandanna tied off around his left arm to cover a wound from an earlier fight.
he wears a red short sleeved and a grey hoodie with a bloody police plate carrier he got from a dead cop, baggy cargo pants, and some good boots.

Campus wasn't too far, and neither was the local gun store.
He dealt with a bit at both school and work, since there was always someone who wanted to get under your skin for whatever reason.
He spent some of his free time down at the range when he had nothing else to do.

It was in the middle of his work shift that disaster struck and he was forced into the precinct by local authorities. His car had a few things in it, which he was lucky enough to get before having to leave.

You know the original plan about heading south? simply because there is A group doesn't mean it doesn't still make sense to scout those originally planned areas. If for no other reason than to eliminate them as the source of the attacks. After all when you know where they're coming from you have the advantage. And when you know where their not you can better locate them.

So again I ask why wasn't the original plan followed through on?

Because that group has taken over all the bases. And we were outnumbered and outgunned. I mean if you want Ash to go off by himself and scout a base then go ahead.

But if they never followed through on the plan how can they know the bases were taken over? Do you see the confusion yet? If the plan was never followed through on, than certain knowledge is missing. And if they want intel on this other group than the plan should have been followed through upon if only for intel; Wouldn't even need to land if its obvious enough. So was the plan followed through on? Or was it brushed off and the civilains they were "protecting" abandoned like so much fodder?

It's part of a future plot point. Yes originally the plan was we go to the base with two helicopters (Becky mentioned having one nearby), we lose Becky's heli at NORAD, Miles' heli barely manages to refuel and escape Peterson, we all link back up and get back to Denver. But plans change. We had to change how we revealed the militant group. IC right now, none of us know exactly how bad it is, we just have rumours. Me and Rayne know OOC of course because we've discussed it in vague terms.

Okay so the two locations we're looking at, the amusement park and the unknown one, will reveal something about a zombie type only mentioned here in the OOC in the OP. And yes we will eventually find out how bad it is IC, but if we told you know it wouldn't be as much of a surprise. Where's the fun in the story if we all know how it ends? hell even me and Rayne don't know how this ends, we just know some vague plot points we discussed. So there's some transparency, we don't have an ending for this.

On a serious note, though, I'll roll with whatever the majority wants. Sounds like unknown is the option of choice so far!



Also, if it doesn't interfere with the plot and Dnafein wants to do, we could co-post a flyover of the base in her chopper before having them meet up with everyone at the point of the time skip? We could report to Maisie & Miles the day before the conversation about the unknown signal?

Since Becky was punched in the face and dealing with an unruly civ, maybe she missed the other survivors leaving. If Ash was still inside, then they could've become an unlikely duo. Kitty can die en route to the chopper on the high rise due to [insert classic horror film blunder here], leaving Ash and Becky to make it back to the group. Or something like that, just floating an idea~ Or would the flyover reveal too much about the surprise/future bits of the plot?
