"Crossbow, check. Axes, check. Potion, check. All that's missing is your head."

Name: Alron

Age: 26

Gender: Male

Hair: Black and cropped short

Build: Toned and a bit lean

Height: 5'7" (170 cm)

Eyes: Hazel, though usually unseen

Distinctive features: He's missing his left middle finger and a chip off of his right ear.

Clothes: He's always wearing a white mask, featureless save for two eye slits. On his body he wears a dark brown vest with a red long-sleeved shirt underneath. His hands are concealed in a pair of black cloth gloves. His pants are white and, while not baggy, loose, and his shoes a pair of boots (like there's much else suitable to fight in). The mask itself is enchanted, being incredibly resistant to damage.

Weapons: A pair of hand axes and a repeating lever-action magazine-fed crossbow. Each magazine holds exactly ten bolts, and while there's no need to load each bolt, the crossbow suffers from having to be fired from the waist for stabilization. In one of his pockets, he carries a syringe filled with a stimulant, temporarily giving him full stamina, though it leaves him completely drained when it wears off, to the point where standing is a chore.

Abilities:

Rush Hour

-For up to six seconds, Alron can speed up his body and mind, making everything seem to be moving slowly while he remains unaffected. This can only be done once per day.

Lightning Rod

- After charging for five seconds, Alron can deliver an electric shock on par with a modern day taser for two seconds on touch. During charges, he is immobile.

Other Abilities/attributes: Alron is adept with his weapons and his fists. He's learned his axes and crossbow inside and out, to the point where he could make new one's blindfolded. Every curve, nick, and crevice was burned into his mind.

Aside from that, Alron is a quick thinker. Plans are made in the middle of a strike and executed immediately, if worth while.

Personality: Alron's personality consists of two sides: the child and the killer. Most of the time, it's the child, but when he really gets going, the killer takes hold. The child likes to make fights last, usually talking during it and wisecracking. The killer want the fight done and done yesterday.

Background: Compared to most, Alron doesn't have a very impressing story. His relatives weren't murdered, he was no high noble, his village was not ransacked by trolls, he has no crippling disabilities, and he has no vow of revenge.

Instead, Alron was born in a small farming community. He grew up tending cows and picking turnips, not adventuring and slaying dragons. Though one day, he got bored of his life and left with nothing but a handful of money. This marked his first steps into the world. Alron had only heard of magic in folk tales, but had seen magnificent displays in any and all large communities he visited. Buying low-end equipment, he started his new "career" in being an adventurer.

Fast forward a few years and now Alron has traded his farmer's clothes and cheap equipment for more urban clothing, a bit of magic tutoring, and efficient weapons.

Alron's adventures had turned him from an ignorant farmer boy to a bitter young man, spawning the killer and jading the child. "The world is only made of gold if you wear tinted optics," he says. Few things are new to him and he has no qualms about cutting people down, be they man, woman, or child.

Eventually, adventuring had gotten boring and Alron retired, living off of the money he made and the experience it gave him. He frequently enters arena fights so he stays sharp.

Name: Illan

Age: 36

Gender: Male

Hair: Brown and unkempt

Build: Thin

Height: 6'2" (183 cm)

Eyes: Brown.

Distinctive features: N/A

http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs42/f/2009/065/0/b/The_Black_Death__Plague_Doctor_by_JackyGilbertson. jpg There's supposed to be tinted glass/plastic lenses on the mask, but because I'm artistically impaired, beggars can't be choosers. Unless the red coloring is because of tinted lenses.

Weapons: A thin sword, his hiking stick, clawed gauntlets, and hallucinogenic smokebombs

Abilities: N/A

Other abilities/attributes: Due to his mask, he can ignore most breathable toxins. Other than that, he is also rather fast.

Personality: Illan chooses to be silent and foreboding, furthering his ablility to intimidate foes. He often speaks few-to-no words, even when responding.

Background: Illan was a hermit a ways from society. However, troublemakers and delinquents often tried to disturb him, breaking holes in the walls of his small hovel and taking what little he had. Eventually, he had had enough of it.

Illan tailored and donned the clothing of a plague doctor both day and night. Often just seeing him was enough to send away more cowardly people, but the braver ones needed to be persuaded. He started keeping watch at all times, sitting in trees above his home and dropping down on trespassers and screaming like a madman.

But even that didn't scare away some. Eventually, Illan developed a hallucinogen that, when inhaled, caused exaggerated images. His already frightening outfit became an outlandish horror. Bright lights became blinding, while shadows became impenetrable darkness. Wavy images became dizzying and spinning objects never seemed to stop.

Using these facts and several optical tricks, Illan managed to keep away unwanted company and even became an urban legend. But then came monster hunters. All of them wanted to get the head of the infamous (and unimaginatively-named) bird-man. Even with the gas and tricks, few of them fled.

So Illan learned to fight. He used his hiking stick as a weapon in the beginning, but scavenged a thin-bladed and agile sword from one of the hunters. Since then, he's had few problems.

"Colossus City. It was here I was born and raised; it is here that I will burn and die."

Name: Geos

Age: 28

Hair: Blond, dirty, uneven, and uncared for.

Build: Muscular

Height: 5' 10" (178 cm)

Eyes: Green

Distinctive features: Dirty and scarred.

Clothes: A patchwork of animal skins along with a bone necklace and a golden bracelet.

Weapons: A stone spear

Abilities: Geomancy - Power over nature

Other abilities/attributes: Can shape nature into whatever he wants, though he needs to hold back, lest he exhaust himself.

Personality: Seems cold and uncaring, but generally does not like civilians to be hurt in his conflicts. If his necklace or bracelet are damaged, however, he will fly into a rage and destroy whatever caused the damage, not bothering to restrain himself.

Background: Geos's real name is forgotten to him, being left behind in Colossus City when he left it. His powers had manifested at a young age, often being used to create crude artwork and jewelry.

When Geos turned nine, there was a knock on the door. His parents hid him in a closet, telling him not to leave it until they said so. As it turned out, the knocking came from an organized crime ring that wanted to use Geos as a soldier for them and had come to persuade his parents. When they refused any and all offers, they were killed.

Geos exploded into a rage at the killers and used his powers to kill them in turn. He tore water from the pipes and drowned them. He summoned vortexes to blow them away. He created vacuums to suffocate them. He cracked fissures into the earth beneath them. He brought forth vines to strangle and break their necks. In the end, everyone save for Geos was dead. Exhausted, Geos crawled over to his dead parents and cried.

The heroes of Colossus City arrived shortly after. They took a look at the brutal scene and realized that Geos was a super. They apologized for arriving too late and told Geos he could stop this from happening again if he joined the Hero Academy. Geos violently refused their offer. Seeing it as a sign that the boy was just too distraught to think clearly, the left. The next morning, Geos was gone from Colossus City.

The next twenty years of his life were spent traveling and living in the wilderness, training his powers. He eventually returned to Colossus City to both prevent what had happened that fateful night and to take his revenge on the so-called heroes that failed to save his parents. To remind him of this goal, he took his father's necklace and his mother's bracelet.
