She held his hand as they walked, looking around for David. She spotted him sitting by the entrance to the food court, and waved at him. He smiled and waved back, getting up.
"Hey! Are you feeling better?"
"Yes. Thank you. How are you?"
"I'm great. I've been walking around for a bit, and the things you see here... it's incredible."
-
"Yeah. We've found ourselves a little slice of paradise. Hopefully it's as peaceful." He said. He squeezed Maeva's hand. "Let's get some food. We can talk while we eat."
-
David nodded and walked inside the food court, grabbing himself a plate.
-
He kissed Maeva's cheek before grabbing a plate. He loaded his plate up with food and sat down at the table where Maeva and him sat for lunch. He kept a close eye on Maeva. Even though she said she was feeling better, he still worried.
-
Maeva noticed him looking at her, and squeezed his hand to let him know she was really okay.
-
He blushed a bit when he was caught. "Sorry..." He murmured. "I just worry. You know this."
-
She nodded and kissed his cheek. "I know. I love you."
-
He smiled and started to eat. "You're amazing."
-
"You too." David joined them at the table with a bowl filled to the brim with food. Maeva chuckled.
"Bon appetit, David."
"Thanks," he said with a grin. He looked at her tray, which only had a salad on it.
"Don't you want to eat more?" She shook her head.
"I was feeling nauseous earlier. I just want to play it safe."
-
Roger had a burger and fries on his plate. He grinned at his friends. "Well. How was your afternoon, David? Sorry we left you alone all day."
